Shownotes

DJ Hed and Gina Views kick off Effective Immediately with listener love, texting etiquette, and Hed’s ongoing LensCrafters struggles before getting into scams, tap-to-pay, and everyday privacy concerns. They weigh in on Savannah James going viral over friends flying coach, arguing against entitlement and pocket-watching, then react to Instagram’s new face-blur feature and debate phone privacy, NDAs, and what really counts as “lost and found.”
The conversation shifts to music as Hed and Gina review Remy Ma’s Alimony EP, her response to Papoose’s “Jezebel,” and Quavo’s new album featuring Offset and Tyler, The Creator, including signs of growth and speculation about another Migos project. They also touch on Megan Thee Stallion and GloRilla trading shots, “F**kin’ Problems” reaching one billion streams, and Hed’s acting experience on Hulu and Disney+’s The Drop, sharing behind-the-scenes lessons from the set and thoughts on the latest episode.

Oh, they be in the chat?

They be in the chat for the premieres.

You be talking to them?

Sometimes when I remember to go in there because, yeah, I'll go in there. But also, some people be trolling. But our people, they be on the trolls' heads.

Oh, we got people?

Yeah, we got people.

Shout out to our people. We got people. We need a name for the chat.

They be holding us down. Y'all don't have that yet.

Okay, chat. Name y'all selves.

Name y'all selves.

Or if you in the comments, give the chat a name. At chat.

At chat.

Thank y'all.

Man, it's been a crazy week. It's a lot going on outside. The girlies are beefing, but we don't get to all that. What about your week?

I don't remember.

Flew by?

Yeah, I don't remember what I did this week. I really don't remember. I got my hair done. I think I got my hair done on Monday.

Monday?

Monday.

You know what my grandma used to say? She used to say Saturday. And I'm like, Grandma, that's not how you say it.

Saturday?

Saturday.

Saturday.

It must be some Mississippi shit.

I got to start saying it like that.

Saturday.

Saturday.

It's literally not how it's spelled. Saturday.

Saturday.

But also, Wednesday don't make no fucking sense either.

Wednesday is spelled really stupid.

So.

I hate the spelling of Wednesday.

Have I said, have I told you before?

Wednesday.

We should all be speaking Spanish.

Why?

I think it's the language that makes the most sense. Like, I know, like, I don't know.

I'm not fluent in a bunch of languages, but out of like the four languages I've looked at, Spanish to me makes the most sense.

That we should be speaking.

It makes more sense than English?

Like, the way that it's set up and structured, yeah.

But explain this, though.

So, like, we.

Have certain things. Like, we have different versions of there. We have, like, four or five versions of there, right? In Spanish, it wouldn't be set up that way. Also, in Spanish, they have, like, feminine and masculine words. So it would be, like, la. And then if the word is a feminine word, you would say that. Or if it's el, it would be the masculine version of that word.

And it automatically gives you. clarity on what you're talking about so instead of saying like you having a black shirt it'd be the black it'd be the shirt black so you know what it is and then what color it is the way my brain processes it just it makes more.

Sense to me yeah you're confusing her you're gonna make her not want to learn Spanish okay fine what you haven't convinced.

Me no I'm not trying to convince you I'm just saying.

You said we should be using them.

That's what I think everybody else you know might.

Think differently yeah I'm cool English is cool Yeah, I'm cool with English. English makes the most sense to me. Obviously, I was going to say my first language is my own language.

They tried to make Ebonics a language, too, when I was in school. That was before your time, I think.

What's Ebonics?

Ebonics is like slang. They tried to teach that.

Oh, that's pig Latin, huh?

I don't know what that was, but it's kind of like ama.

That's pig Latin.

I know what you're talking about.

Like saying ama instead of I'm going to.

Oh, slang.

Yeah.

At one point when I was in school, in high school, they were actually trying to turn that into a thing.

And white people vetoed that.

I don't think they should do that. But I do think that slang should be used in academic environments.

Yeah.

Like essays and things like that. Like if you're writing a complete sentence. Like when I use periods and commas and things like that and speak in complete sentences. Because sometimes when I first give a dude my number, I talk in complete sentences. I'm a frog. I'm a frog.

Thank you for inquiring about my... Like that?

No, I said I use complete sentences. I don't talk proper now. But I won't say I'm a. I would say I'm going to. Or I'll be like, instead of that, I'll say that's. I write as if I'm still in college when I'm texting a new dude. But then after he hit, then....

Then it's just.

What's up, my nigga? All right, Gina, I got to send you the clip that they just posted when a Cali girl walked by. I saw it.

Okay.

I saw it. Karen sent it to me. She going to say, you need to redo this and say on a day of homegirls.

Low key, yes.

Find me a nigga on a day of homegirls. Like, what? How was your week?

It was cool.

A lot went down this week, but two things that I do want to discuss, and I don't want to talk about it in the way we talked about Ashley Furniture because that became a whole thing.

Like, it's still going on Facebook. I don't know if.

Oh, TikTok, too.

For real? Yeah.

I'm not on a TikTok like that. But on Facebook, it's a whole... Like, people got think pieces and all kind of shit, but.

Apparently, though, a lot of people... Somebody commented on it today. They said Ashley and T-Mu was cousins.

Damn.

Oh, yeah.

They related. That makes sense.

So, where I get my glasses, there's a place where I go get my glasses, my prescription, and... All of these people are morons.

You don't want to get into it with them?

I don't want to get into it with them.

All right.

It's a big company.

Okay. So, LensCrafter.

But at the same time.

So, fuck LensCrafter.

But at the same time. At the same time.

You can't be my people and tell me you got a problem with somebody. Because I want to get into it with them.

Bro, like.

It's like, it's not the company. And my optometrist, she's really good.

She's dope. She's an Asian lady. She's fire.

It's the morons that work there, the human beings that they employ. It seems like they're all slow. And every time I go in there to get my prescription, it seemed like there's an issue. And the doctor, the doctor is always walking out of the office and going to the people like, no, I told you to do his prescription like this. And they're like, okay, I will do your prescription. And then they just go over like zombies.

And then they type on the thing. And it's just like, I'm probably going to have to switch the company I deal with. So if you have glasses recommendations, nay, if you got one. I'm taking glasses recommendations to go try a new company.

You need just new frames and new eye tests?

I need new frames and lenses.

I can get you a site to get some lenses. Get your prescription. I'll get you a site to get you some lenses.

Me going in there, I was going to crash out last time.

But what happened, though?

Basically, what happened was I went to do my eyes test. I had a new prescription. Every year, you're supposed to do it. So she filled the new prescription. And when they were putting it, they were getting the lenses done to the glasses, done for the glasses. They did the fitting wrong. So then that was a whole wash. We had to redo them. They took that on the chin.

They now have to repay for a new pair. But when they redid them, it was a lab reject. I've never heard this before in my life.

Exactly. Have you ever heard of this?

No.

What does that mean?

A lab reject means that when you send your glasses in, the lab that's making the lenses basically is like, no, we can't put your lenses in these glasses.

And I'm like. I've been wearing these glasses for two, three years. Like, what are you talking about?

I've never heard, I've literally been wearing glasses since the fourth grade. I've never heard of that.

I said, just tell them to put the lenses in the glasses like the fucking optometrist told them. They're like, we can't do it. Can you come pick up your glasses?

And then do what? I can't see out the motherfuckers. What am I going to do with them? What?

So then they, so then the dude, I'm on the phone with the moron, moron A. So moron A says, can you come get the glasses? I'm like, no, I can't come pick them up. I'm somewhere else. So then, Moron B is his supervisor. She gets on the phone and she tells me, I'm going to retry to refill your prescription, but can you come pick up the glasses?

How are you going to refill the prescription if I come get what you need to fill?

Yeah. So then she's like, oh, you're right. Moron B says, oh, you're right.

Okay, so then she gives the phone back to Moron A and says, hey, I'm going to set up an appointment for you to come pick up your glasses. How in the fuck are you going to set up an appointment for me to pick up my glasses that Moron B hasn't filled yet?

How do they think that makes sense.

So i'm on the market for a new uh glasses partner i just if there's a if if anyone wants to like endorse me and i was whatever like let's figure it out because i'm over they.

They're gonna tell you get your prescription and then hit one of these sites for your frames if they if they don't fit you can technically go to um the place we're not supposed to go to with that red dot just go there to get your glasses resized they'll they'll Either make them tighter. They'll either make them, you know, a little bit looser.

I ain't supposed to say this. I'm so tired of these, like, these little things. Because I got a gift card I'm sitting on right now.

I'm waiting.

Apparently, that's fair. Apparently, that's fair.

I can go use my gift card?

You're supposed to use your gift card. But, you know, I really only go there for my glasses.

I kid you not.

I kid you not. I only go for my glasses.

I thought we won already.

It's like a continuous thing.

Look at Avery.

Why is Avery?

Avery.

Avery be in that motherfucker every day? Avery, you be in there? Nigga gotta get diapers, man. You gotta get diapers? Baby need diapers.

I thought we won already.

I mean, we kind of have because they've lost a lot of money. They've lost a lot of business, yes. But, you know, people want to keep it going. Like, let's keep it going.

I'm finna go use my gift card, champ. I'm finna go buy that Jay-Z. I'm finna go use my gift card.

Okay, because people mad at that.

I know, I know. It's a whole thing.

It's hard to keep track. Wait, Jay-Z was supposed to bring the niggas back to Target?

Nah, Jay-Z ended up doing something and it became a thing.

He did a little collaboration with the vinyl. It was only released at Target.

Target, just say sorry.

For real though?

Just say sorry and put some black-owned businesses on the shelves. Just say sorry.

They selling the rock shit. He got some shit in there. He black, whatever. He black as Samoan. But anyway, the other thing that happened.

Oh, I was going to say, go to Costco, though.

Costco?

My granny used to go to Costco.

To get her glasses?

Mm, yes. I've heard they have a.

I don't have a membership. Can you.

What you mean?

Can nobody, like... Can I walk in with no membership?

I don't have one. I want you to get one so I can use yours and get gas.

Nah, I'm cool.

What are you talking... You a Costco type of nigga?

No, I don't buy that much stuff.

It might be worth it for you, though. It might be worth it. Gas, automatures.

That's why I fuck with Jeff. I got the Jeff membership. They send it to the house. I don't got to go nowhere.

Who is Jeff?

Bezos, Amazon.

What you get?

All your groceries?

Everything. I get everything.

So take your glasses to Jeff, then.

You could probably do that.

I ain't never heard of it.

I ain't never thought about it. That's a good idea.

Probably to one of the Amazon stores. Yeah. Well, they done closed a lot of them.

They done closed them up.

They closed the one by my house.

You was in there? Did you use the one with the automated shopping cart?

Okay. No, I haven't. I don't get a cart when I go to the, I got everything in my hand when I go to the grocery store. That's crazy. I'm that person. But you know, I shop in, you look in my refrigerator, it's only water and what I'm eating that week. Yeah. And whatever vegetables and fruits that I eat.

But what I was going to say is, the only thing I didn't like about that is they don't take Apple Pay because they're Amazon. What? Yeah, they don't take Apple Pay at the Amazon stores.

Oh, no, see.

You have to have Google Wallet.

Nah, bro. They got out the game, though.

You said they got out the game?

Yeah, yeah. They got out the grocery game. Nah, bro.

Oh, they all close?

Yeah, they got out the game. I'm not fucking with you. Oh. If I go somewhere they don't take tap, like I can't really.

Oh, I don't care how much gas I got. If I can't do Apple Pay at the pump, I'm going to go to another gas station.

Yeah, I'm tired.

I'm not even going inside, going to the window or none of that. I'm a tapper.

And, you know, they got the skimmers now on the pumps where people skim your credit card. And they robbing people. Like, I'm cool, bro. If you ain't got a tap, even the parking attendants got taps.

Well, they can do it now, too, though.

The taps?

Yeah, they did the tap.

I ain't seen that.

They can do your tap.

That's crazy.

You got to stare at it a little bit. To see, yeah.

I got scammed by Valet one time.

Echophone? Echophone?

How?

Because he wasn't really like... They was out there... You know how like... If you pull up and you go into like... Let's say you go into the Roxy. It's this parking structure that's right before you get to the Roxy. Right there on the street. And you turn in there and any little man that's just standing right there, they be like, oh, it's going to be $ 20.

You be like, oh, okay.

And most of the parking attendants, they just use the Stripe app now where it's just an iPhone and you tap.

And.

Then he go, tap your phone and just walk off.

I thought about doing that before, though.

It's like, I was hot, but I didn't have time to trip.

Yeah.

So he took your money and then walked away?

Oh, he didn't even park your car?

No.

Oh.

He's standing in the driveway. Like, you know when you pull in, they got the cones? So he's standing there. He's like, yeah, it's going to be $ 20. And you know, he looked the part. I ain't going to say what it is, but he looked the part.

What he had on?

Just the little jacket, the little... You know what I'm talking about? The little jacket with the line and all, like, olded out of it. So, like, he said, it's for $ 20.

I'm like, all right. I had to get to the Roxy, though.

So, I'm like, boop.

And he was, I'm like, so, by the time I parked my car, nigga spent off. At a lot across the street from the Roxy? No, the one before you get to the Roxy.

Before, oh, okay.

It's a little structure. I'm like, I was hot, but I am.

So, you parked your own car? Yeah.

He hit me for $ 20 and then got on.

Every time Avery laughs, it just tickles me. Because I can hear him crying. You know how loud you got to laugh for me to hear you in here?

With the bulletproof glass? The other thing that.

No, I was going to say that's a good scam.

It is?

That's a good scam. Because I can pull up anywhere with the little... What is that? What is that called? A podium? Yeah. Pull up anywhere with the podium... put the umbrella, put a suit on, and then just wave your hand at people in the lot, we automatically trust people. We automatically trust people due to their wardrobe and what their environment is. I will trust that.

I always think about that when we used to do a supper club Tuesdays because everybody would be in Tiger. All the homies would be in there, and they'd pull up in a Maserati or a Rolls Royce or Ferrari or whatever. Bird and them had a Ferrari. And the valet will park your Ferrari right in front. But it's like you handing your $ 200, 000 car to some nigga who just because he's standing in front of the club with an umbrella.

It's crazy how we trust people.

It's a little crazy. I'm like, if I could help it, I'm self-parking every time.

That's a cool scam, though. You know I used to work in a parking lot.

For real?

Mm-hmm. At a hospital. I never told you and Omarion came through.

No.

I should have told him when we interviewed him, huh?

No, what happened?

I got some crazy full circle moments, don't I? Yes.

What was he doing in the house?

April was pregnant.

I'm calling this bitch.

No, April was pregnant, so they came through the lot, and I was like, oh, shit. And I'm like, hey. And he was like, yeah. And I was like, it's $ 5.

Hey, you ever let people slide?

Okay, so since you used to work there, how do they know that you making everybody pay?

Because when you come in, you have to give them a ticket. And then when they come out, they have to give you the ticket back.

So that's how you keep track of cars.

Yeah, so we have to have a receipt and a ticket to match. So if you don't have the receipt and you only have the ticket, then that means that you let somebody just go through. Or if you have, I forgot, but if you have like one half of it and then they just drove off, then basically you just lost out on that money. And then we had to use the little time clock thing. You know, like when you clock in, like one of those, we had to put the ticket in there to get the time to see how long to charge them.

Damn.

Because I always be, I be low-key irritated. I got away with it one time at a sports arena in LA where we was running behind. We drove up and it'd be $ 70 to park. If you ever went, you know what I'm talking about. It'd be $ 70 to park.

Your own car. No valet. So we pull up. I'm like, look, bro. I'm not finna pay this $ 70, bro. I'm like, can I just?

He was like, bro, slide me a dub if you got cash.

I said, for sure. I slid him a dub. He was like, go ahead.

What?

Yeah. Say $ 50.

Say $ 50. Still it is. That parking duty too expensive, though.

$ 70 to park your own car?

It's a little thirsty. Yeah, that's really thirsty.

Y'all know, I know somebody who kind of did that situation with an Uber. Like, made, like, a deal with the Uber driver. Like, hey, bro, how much they paying you? Like, I'll give you this much if you just take me here, here, here.

Right.

No, if you going far, that's worth doing it. Especially in the black trucks.

Yeah, that is worth that. I've tried that in the black truck before.

Yeah, I was like, all right, bro.

But, you know, now you can't try that. At certain arenas, you can't try that, like going in and pulling out stuff because we went. So, oh, actually, when we went to Scream, when we did the Scream thing, so I got in the car with one of my homegirls. No, I didn't get in her car. She was in front of me, and she was holding the whole lineup because they had her license plate from the last time that she just drove out. So now they scan your plate, and if you didn't play last time, you have to pay this time.

Oh, they had her plate? Yeah. Oh, man.

So she thinking she was just going to pay for the data that I have on the screen. But no, they like, and I think it was like $ 60 or something.

They wanted that reparations. Mm-hmm. Damn.

You can't pay them type of games now.

Wow.

You can't pay them type of games now.

All right, look, bro.

If anybody got a parking connect in the city, we would love to tap you.

You know what I'm saying?

But you know, while we talking about traveling, Savannah James is currently going viral for her opinion on her friends riding first class with her or not.

Or not.

Or not fly in first class with her.

Right.

What you was going to say, I'm sorry.

That's crazy. But finish, because I have thoughts.

Go ahead.

I just think that there's so, I think we live in a society that's so entitled to other people's shit. I just think that I don't know where all of this entitlement comes from. Nobody owes you anything. Nobody owes you shit. I don't know where that, I don't come from that. I don't know what that mentality is. But it's so many people online. who have opinions about other people's pockets.

Yeah.

And I just think, I think that that's very, very strange.

And also to add, not to, not to be like crazy, but who was to say that, not saying that Savannah don't have it like that, but you don't know what her situation is with her, her, the head of her household.

It might be like, Hey bro, I'm not paying. You know, you don't, you don't see these.

I got homies.

It's like that where they'll, they'll be like, no, no, no. I'm taking you shopping. I'm not paying for them. You know what I mean? Like, so it's like people just feel entitled to what you have because you have it because of what you have going on in your life. That's crazy to me.

Yeah, that is out. Like, that's absolutely out. I've been on flights with friends where they might be in comfort, they might be in first class, and I'm probably in the regular seats. Most of the time, we're not booking our flights together anyway. So it's like, what time your flight?

What day you leaving?

What's your flight number? And then I'm going to book for what I can afford for said destination. Like, that's just what it is. And I would expect the same thing in... if because i'm not paying for your flight anyway right we're adults i'm not paying for your flight anyway so if savannah and her friend carpool i mean not carpool if they car what is it telling tailgating if they tailgating and they go stop at the gas station is she supposed to fill her tank up too you You know, like, if they out shopping and she ring herself up first, is she supposed to do it?

No.

You get what I'm saying?

Like, me and Desiree had this thing where when we go get food, like, if it depends on who's driving or, you know, whatever. Like, it's like, it's just, what is it called? An unsaid thing. Like, it's just an unspoken rule. Like. If I'm in a drive-thru and I'm paying or if I wanted to go or something, I'm just going to pay.

I'm not going to be like, oh, send me the money or, you know, whatever. Vice versa. It's the same thing. Or if we go out somewhere and we got to pay for parking and she drove, I'm going to just hand her my card. Like, you know, here. And vice versa. But I'm not expecting her to pay and she's not expecting me to pay. We just don't like all the difficult, complicated shit. You know, me and Ayla went somewhere before I'm up. Girl. And then I pay. You know, like.

But the way that people pocket watch other people, it needs to be studied because who the fuck are you? I want to know for the people who are mad about this, if you are the person in your friend group that makes the most income, do you take the payments for everything?

No, they don't.

Do you take the charge for everything?

No, they don't.

Do you cover the cost for everything?

No, they don't.

They're not doing any of these things. They're not even being as considered as what you just described.

Yeah.

Most people that's pocket watching... ain't never paid for nobody else to do anything. And I think that it's interesting though, if you think about it from this perspective though, the friend.

Probably didn't even have a problem.

She didn't.

It's everybody else who got a problem. Yeah. Like if I'm not tripping, how the fuck is y'all tripping?

Exactly. And then it's like, now let's say, let's say the conversation was, they're not friends anymore. And the girl was talking about how, Yeah, when I would go out, she wouldn't even pay for my flights. When I would go out, she would buy herself a person. She wouldn't even buy me one. Then the conversation would be, oh, you're a leech. Now the conversation is she should put her in first class. Bitch, you on a flight.

You on a flight.

You on a flight. You got yourself here. So if Savannah wasn't on a plane, should she still be in first class? No.

No, because that wouldn't even be in your orbit.

That's why it don't make sense.

Yeah.

That's why it don't make sense.

Now, if she was there regardless, it'd be a different conversation.

Exactly.

Because you're there anyway. But who booked the flights? Who booked the reservation?

What was the arrangement? People don't even know what they discussed.

Right.

She might have been like, girl, don't pay for no first class.

I'm on the plane. Like, I'm good. You know what I'm saying?

Like, we on the same flight. That's how kind of I feel. Like, when we travel together... Like, in the airport, I wait for you. I make sure you, because, like, you're a girl. You by yourself.

Mm-hmm.

Like, when me and Silas go, me and, me. You would swear we don't know each other. When we travel together, because I'm a pre-check nigga.

Yeah.

Yeah.

I'm a pre-check nigga.

That's a conversation. This actually just happened. You went through pre-check.

Yeah.

And I stood in the regular fucking line. I didn't have no problem. No. When I got through TSA, you was at the end of the TSA waiting for me.

Yeah.

You know, I don't care about that. Yeah. I did just buy pre-check though.

You got everything?

Yeah. Yeah.

Yeah, man.

Ain't been on the flight.

Yeah.

Don't know why I gave them $ 250.

It's okay. Coming soon. We going somewhere.

Gave them $ 250. I ain't even been on the flight. That's why I wasn't buying pre-check.

I'm like, I don't be here enough. No, but I think that in certain scenarios, if it's like, I'm just a natural protective person. So when it's girls and shit, I'll be like, fuck. So I'll be there. But if we on the same plane, bro, Nigga, if somebody, listen, let me tell you something. And you, you already know, you already know how I feel about you. But if we had 35,000 feet and you in the back of the cabin and some nigga managed to get, sneak you off that airplane at 35,000 feet, he got it.

He deserved me. He deserved me.

He got it.

Cause I'm not back there and I'm not, I'm not coming, getting out my seat. Cause sometimes you sit in front of me. I'm not getting out my seat to go like, all right, Gina, good. Let me go back and sit at like, Yeah. If the nigga sneak you off the plane at 35,000 feet.

He got it. He deserve it. You know what I'm saying? Straight up.

He deserve that sex traffic.

Facts.

Gina.

They like this. Them niggas always go too far.

That was kind of crazy.

But I'm just saying, like, that's how I feel about it. But don't be counting people's pockets and that shit weird, bro.

And I think it's also funny that people are forgetting that, like, She said she went up in first class with her. She did say that.

She said she went in first class with her.

They got away with it. They must do this often. She's okay.

And if you go watch our interview with Black Sam and Bino, Nip used to do that shit. Go watch our interview with Black Sam and Bino. He said Nip used to do that shit all to go to sleep. He said in first class, just go to sleep. And they don't bother him.

All right. If you can get it off, get it off.

If you can get it off, get it off.

You know what I'm saying?

Okay, so Instagram is rolling out a new feature that allows users to blur people's faces via story. You don't F with it?

I don't like it. This is bullshit.

Well, this is.

This is the start of some bullshit. Telling you right now, this is the start of some bullshit.

Well, no.

So Instagram is doing this for the soft launch trend.

That's what I'm saying.

But we was already doing it anyway.

It's some bullshit. It's some bullshit.

Because what's going... Let me tell you what's going to happen. If somebody haven't figured it out already, what they finna start doing is... It's not... Anything that people develop for cutesy reasons, people find a way to do some bullshit with it.

Okay. Niggas going to be blurring real shit.

Oh, okay.

If you think about it from the flip, it's like.

Okay, I didn't look at it like that.

Like, imagine.

Like, we finna talk about what Remy and them they got going on, but imagine just.

Yeah. A bunch of them photos just... Yeah. That's going to be on somebody's mixtape cover, I guarantee you.

Oh, you're talking about like that? I was thinking like guns and sex.

No, I'm not even going that far. There's going to be somebody with a blurred X on a mixtape cover before the end of the year.

Okay.

Watch.

Okay, you think this is going to start a trend?

It's going to start some bullshit.

Okay, okay. I was thinking more of the Wizard Kelly effect.

Mm-hmm.

Mm-hmm. I don't need this feature because I'm not going to post no nigga anyway.

Facts. I don't even follow them.

Y'all see, my close friends is protected too. I'm not even putting a nigga in my close friends.

I'm cool, bro. And the thing is, if you don't want someone on the internet, why post it?

To flex that you got them.

So, why don't you just say, I got it? Why you have to post the photo of the nigga?

I don't believe in posting niggas anyway.

Now, you ever posted to a person?

I did when I was in a relationship years ago.

Y'all posted like holding hands or you posted just booed up with baby?

It would be like out to dinner or we going to somewhere. I posted for our anniversary, like little stuff.

Cutesy stuff? And then when it's over with, you take it all down?

Absolutely.

That's a lot of work.

That's why I did it when I was young and I ain't did it since. It's been about 10 years.

I ain't been in a relationship in so long.

Same.

I don't got no business posting on niggas anyway. Niggas be posting me.

They do? They post like pictures of y'all together?

I never told you about the time when this dude was in my house and he was standing behind me He was standing behind me. I was on the phone. So I'm on the phone talking. You know, you're like, dang, where you go? Because you're so quiet behind me. So I turn around. I turn around. He doing this, recording me.

I said, I would never talk to you.

I made him get out of my house.

Yeah, I would never talk to you.

I said, do I got to do it? Do I got to start giving niggas NDAs and taking phones and shit? Like, I got to move like a rapper? You did, Gina. I'm like, baby, what is you doing? Like, you going to blow the spot up.

Like.

And we wasn't even nothing yet. This was our first time kicking it.

So this is a good question we should ask the streets.

Is it disrespectful if somebody asks you to pouch your phone when you come in their house?

Like you're going to see Dave Chappelle.

I got Kevin Hart. I got to lock your phone up.

Dave Chappelle, you pouching your phone and your watch.

I do think it is disrespectful. Depending on the setting, depending on the environment, depending on the situation, the relationship between you and the other person. However, I think it's your choice or it's your responsibility to know who you're with. And I feel like I accepted accountability for that. That's why I made him leave my house.

That makes sense.

Because I didn't realize, I didn't do a good job of vetting this gentleman.

That makes sense.

You know, like, I should have did a better job of vetting him. That's good.

That's mature.

Yeah. That's just how I looked at it. Like, oh, girl, you fucked up. What can a man say? Fuck the lame nigga, almost fucked the brand up. You know? Should have never fucked that lame nigga, almost fuck the brand up I didn't fuck him though but what I'm saying he ain't get no pussy but I was gonna give him some though that's what was fucked.

Up before he was recording yeah so that's he was there.

For the pussy no no no eventually I was trying to see like let me just you know see whatever but that's what I'm saying I had to do a better job of knowing who I'm talking to like in in You know, in conversations, you can ask certain questions. Like, oh, okay. Like, you believe in going through phones. You be posting people. Like, you like people in your business. And that's why I let niggas know out the gate. I don't like nobody in my business. I'm very, y'all know me. Y'all know me.

I snuck a nigga in the house when they was over there.

Yeah.

How you sneak somebody in your own house, man?

It wasn't really a sneak, though, friend.

How you sneak somebody in your own house?

It's my house.

We got to do a better way of telling the story.

That's crazy. Go stand in that corner and put your.

Hands over your ears. No, no, no. She was asleep. Literally going to sleep.

Like, literally going to sleep.

She was asleep.

And I knew... When you hang out at your friend's house, and there's a possibility of a dude coming over there, depending on how your friend's acting, you kind of know whether he coming or not. And I kind of had a feeling. And then when he did end up pulling up, I was like, okay, this is perfect. Anyway, I was sleepy. Anyway, I'm going to bed. I'm literally going to bed.

She texted me.

I said, yeah, no, I'm going to sleep. Y'all got to go to sleep.

Yeah, that's probably the most Mexican thing you ever did.

It is. She was trying to be low, but I didn't care.

Yeah, I was trying to be low. I was trying to be low because I be hiding people.

But sneaking somebody in your own house is crazy.

Because that's how low I am.

Was I hidden though? I was low though.

I kind of, when we walked back out, And you was, like, tucked in the couch. Yeah. That couch. You like that couch.

That couch, you sink in there, especially where I was at. Like, where I was positioned at, I had the blankets and the pillows. Girl, I was going to bed. He was like, is somebody here?

I'm sneaking. You're like, yeah, roll it.

Literally, don't worry about it.

Where was the dog at?

Probably sleep with her. Right.

Probably sleep right there next to me.

Rolling don't sleep with me when they come over.

Damn.

He literally cheats on me. When they there, when you there, he sleep with them. He don't care about me.

That is so funny. So what does the dog do when you sneak a nigga in the house?

I sneak the nigga past Roland sometimes. Yeah. I don't want nobody to see him.

You don't want Roland to see this?

No. That's crazy. I can't have any man around my son.

That's so crazy.

You know, you can't do that.

Sneaking people in my own house is insane. But I relate. I've done it before. Yes. But I've done it before.

How you do it, though? How do you do that walk of shame?

I don't.

I mean, I've done... Damn, I forgot. My mom be listening to this. But I don't... I used to go to... I used to do the garage. Like, when we stayed... When we lived in the house together. Like, I used to have... I used to open the garage and then have somebody come in through the garage instead of the front door. Front door made too much noise. Plus, also, my sister.

Lived in the living room. Mm-hmm. So.

I did a walk of shame.

Past somebody's mama?

No, it was a nigga. The night we went to the....

To the.

Put his camera on him? Or put it on you?

That's on him.

Okay, I heard. You know what I said? Yeah, yeah, yeah.

You suck.

I'm not good at this.

Horrible.

Horrible. You are horrible. You did a walk of shame how, though?

Because, so I was leaving out. I was leaving out the house. And when I was leaving out, his bodyguard was, like, downstairs. So I don't like making eye contact when I'm doing a walk of shame.

Oh.

So I turned my whole body.

I know what you just said. I know what you said.

You know what I'm talking about?

Yeah.

But he had to go get my shoes. My shoes was downstairs where they was at. And then, yeah.

That's not a walk of shame.

Just the bodyguard?

Hell, it was just the whole entourage.

Oh, damn. Okay.

But it wasn't really a walk of shame because we didn't do nothing. Yeah. I just spent the night.

But, like. They don't know that.

Yeah, they don't know that. I'm with him. I know he fucking her. I know they expect I was over there, but I don't like... I don't like people knowing my business. That's another reason why I didn't do nothing with them, too, because it's like, no, it's a house full of people. They not finna think you got it like that with me.

Yeah, I understand. So.

So you want somebody like that to come to your house by themself?

Hell yeah.

By themself?

Yes. And I want you to have hoodie on, glasses on. You damn near need a COVID mask.

To come to my house.

Nigga, I don't even want my security to know.

Gina got ninjas coming through this mother. Exactly. That's crazy.

I'm very, very discreet.

I understand.

I'm very discreet.

I get it. Trust me, I get it.

You the same way.

I am, but It's harder for me. Because, like, your setup is a little different than mine. I be like, because girls want to do stuff.

Yeah, girls be wanting to walk around.

They want to do shit.

Like, a nigga, if you tell me, hey, pull up, nay sleep, pull up at, like, midnight, throw your hoodie on, put your glasses on.

A nigga going to come in there however you tell him to pull up. You know what I'm saying?

A girl not.

She not. Hey, look, come at midnight.

Put a hoodie on, turn your lights off when you coming down the street. She going to be like, nigga, what are you trying to hide? And it be like an emotional thing.

And we leaving stuff at your house.

Facts.

And in your car.

Bro.

Because niggas don't sit in their passenger seat. Hey, if you a man, sit in your passenger seat, champ. It might be something over there. You know what I'm saying? I found that out the hard way one time, too.

Will somebody leave?

Some hairspray and a lip gloss.

This hairspray?

Like a little, you know how y'all had a little can, a little travel hairspray?

You gave it to her or you throw it away?

I throw everything.

Did she come to you for it?

I have no, I used to, there was one point in time where I was dealing with a woman and she, I'm thinking I'm low. This is why people, this is why you can't get nothing past women. I'm thinking I'm low. I used to have this drawer where like, I would put stuff in case, I had like a low key drawer that I would put stuff just in case, somebody left something anywhere in my car or whatever. One day I'm chilling with her and she was like, yeah, have you seen my glasses? She has like some shades.

I'm like, nah.

She was like, well, I checked the junk drawer and it ain't in there.

I said, what junk drawer?

She knew about the drawer?

I said, what drawer? She said, your lost and found for the bitches.

The lost and found for the bitches.

Lost and found is crazy. That's a great name for it because that's exactly what it is.

I was like, I said, what? She's like, yeah, your drawer that you have over there with all of the shit in it. Yeah. From whoever you, wherever you be at.

She's like, I looked in there, it's not in there. I need my, I like my sunglasses though. I'm just like, one, I was blown. Two, I just respected the, I just, my respect, my respect for her went through the roof because it's like, you know about the drawer, but she not even tripping on the drawer.

She like, I want my sunglasses.

Right.

And so I was like, damn, fuck with you. But like, I was so just thrown off by the whole interaction.

But it was cold.

You still got that junk drawer? Nah.

That's why I said I throw away everything.

And then another time, because I lived somewhere else before I bought my house. Another time, it was a girl. I guess she found something, but she never said nothing. And she was like, yeah, when I was cleaning the bathroom, when somebody left, whoop, whoop. I clean it all up, so you good now when I leave.

This remind me of the time when Desiree scrubbed a nigga's toilet with the bitch toothbrush. She found the girl ID in his house. We was already on the bitch, though. We was already on it. She like, I just found this bitch ID in his house. So then she go in the bathroom. She find the loofah, all the toiletry type of stuff, body wash that she didn't leave over there, and she seen her toothbrush. She cleaned his toilet bowl with his toothbrush and with her toothbrush and put it back there. What a queen.

I remember this infamous story.

Yeah.

That's a lot.

Don't be leaving stuff in my house.

I was just going to ask you.

Has a man ever left stuff in your car or in your house?

She got a junkie.

And, like, on purpose. Like, you know somebody left something on purpose.

I'm afraid that if I tell y'all what he left, Dad, you're going to say, all right, we're going to have to talk about this later.

What did he leave?

I kind of have an idea, but.

Yeah. He left his protection. I knew it. Like three of them. So I found one. Oh, my God. We had a long night.

Oh, my.

God.

Jesus, Jesus. You know how my bed, I got the remote on my bed, so it lifts up. So I'm lifting up my bed so I could like, you know, all my blankets, the blankets, when I get you a blanket, it's up under there. So I'm like putting my blankets up under after I had washed them and I see one, I'm like, hell no. So I grabbed it out. But that was, that was the last one I found. The first one I found, it was actually up under the pillow.

And then the other one, it was like in the bathroom, but it was like visible.

Right what is he running from that's my house it ain't like he it sounded like he was like oh i need to make sure i'm straight when i'm here.

You think it's a gun that's what i thought oh Oh, y'all all think it's good?

Yes! You said protection.

Yes. Unless you meant.

Oh, she talking about the... Oh. She talking about the protections.

Protections.

Nigga, I'm thinking... Oh, that... Alright, whatever. Oh. Niggas ready to fuck anywhere.

Oh. What the fuck did Avery do?

He said he trying to... He trying to... Go ahead. He said niggas is ready to fuck anywhere now.

Now they were youth.

Oh, that's even worse. Yeah, let's transition about it. That's what I say.

She said it was one.

She said, yeah, it was in my cereal cabinet.

If you ever retell this story, you don't say that's what it was. You stick with the guns.

She's like, yeah, it was in my bed. It was one up in there. It was one in the pillow, but then it was one.

Jesus.

It was one, like, over here.

Oh, I gave y'all a disclaimer.

Over there where I keep the window.

I gave y'all a disclaimer.

It was next to the window. See, it fits with both, right?

We had a wild night. I was like, damn. They must have been chasing him or something.

I was like, who is this nigga running from?

Yeah.

Because you said it was three. I'm like, protection device in your house. Three? Fucking John Wick.

Three? All right.

Like, if a nigga need three.

Nah.

Nah.

He was planning evidence.

Oh.

Yes. He was planning evidence.

Yeah, that's... Okay. That makes sense.

He was planning evidence.

Oh, that's a good one.

That's crazy as hell. I don't... It's okay, G-Man.

It's okay.

That sound like some movie shit. Yeah. I'ma clip it.

I'ma clip it. Let's see if TikTok know what we talk about.

Oh, man.

But I guess since we just went crazy like this, Remy Ma drops what... Remy Ma dropped a project.

She dropped a project.

It's called Alimony. And there are some, I don't know if we can classify these as diss tracks, though.

It's, I wouldn't say.

It's heartbreak music to me.

It is heartbreak music.

It's relationship.

I don't, but this was fucked up is, Remy's so dope, I didn't get her dopeness from this. I think that we look at it as heartbreak music. I think, in her mind, this is diss music.

If this is a diss track, Remy need to get back in the booth. Yeah. Remy Penn is too good. They called her, Rym the Penn.

Yeah, that's track one. Yeah.

They call her Rim the Pen. Rim the Pen need to get back in the booth.

Yeah, I think if we were to– it wouldn't be like that if we didn't know what Remy was capable of.

That's what I'm saying. That freestyle that she did on On the Radar, that's probably one of my favorite freestyles of all time.

Yeah, Remy.

You know, she ate. She was talking crazy. But this alimony, I had my expectations because she did the On the Radar freestyle. My expectations were so high. That's why I said when we talked about it last time, I said, oh, she about to cook. She about to cook, Pat. No, she didn't even heat them up. Like, it's not even like microwave. Like, it's like you really left it out.

It's not even like you left the food out. It's like you cooked it and the middle was cold.

Now, this is what I want to ask you, though, about this. If do you think she can't or you think she's sparing him or you think she thinks in her mind this is this is cooking?

I don't think she would have put it out if she didn't think that it was good. But that's why I'm saying, I don't know if we should even classify them as diss tracks because this seems more like she's pouring her heart out. Fuck the bars.

Exactly.

Fuck the bars. I'm pouring my heart out. This is how I feel. What'd she say? I was paying for everything. I was, you was using all my resources and things like that. So it's like, that's what I'm saying. If this is a diss track, she need to get back in the booth.

Yeah.

She, I don't, when I was listening to the, to the one with, who'd you say you was looking forward to Kiki?

Yeah, the one with Kiki White.

Kiki White.

I thought it was going to be more like the WYFL song. I was expecting that.

That is where my expectations were. And I was very, very underwhelmed. Like, it was very underwhelming.

So this is called Alimony EP. So the EP always indicates that there's another full-length album coming. And I don't know what to expect from the album if she's getting everything off on this.

You get what I'm saying?

Because usually people will put this type of content on their album to like propel the album. If she getting it all off here, it's called Alamo EP. So that means that this is about a subject matter. This is a concept project. So then if the EP comes before the actual LP, the full length album, is it not going to have none of this stuff on it?

I think we're probably going to get more of her flexing and shit-talking on the On The Radar freestyle.

Back on the Remy shit.

Yeah, exactly. I really strongly feel like this was her pouring her heart out. I have faith in her.

I'm about to see when her last album.

I got faith that she's about to get cracking. She just had to get this off right here, pour her heart out, and, you know... She'll be back to rapping, rapping, whatever this next project is, because I don't think this is it.

So her last album was Plateau of Plomo, and that was the one with her and Fat Joe.

That was 2017. Her full length, like a full album. And then this album on the EP was... But she had a... Yeah.

But Remy been spazzing on features.

She been going crazy.

She been going crazy on features.

The one with French Montana was fire.

Yeah.

That's why I don't really understand this, but I guess... This ain't for me. I guess that's what it is.

Mm-hmm. As.

I consider myself to be, I like Remy Mott. Like, I think she's amazing lyricist. I think she's dope rapper, dope writer, all the things. I don't know if this project is for me. It's kind of like when certain people drop certain albums, I'm like, oh, that one's not for me as a certain fan of whatever this person's doing.

So I think Remy, I think there's much to be desired.

But I don't know.

If she drop a full-length album, hopefully it's more stuff That she hasn't addressed, that she's able to pop her shit on a new album.

Mm-hmm. Because this one's definitely themed.

She got a song with Connie Diamond. Yeah. And she's spazzy. Like, she, Remy can fucking rap. That's why I'm saying, like, this cannot be, these not diss tracks. These is love songs. These is heartbreak songs.

The one with, so, Why I Get Married, right? And then, to me, the W-Y-F-L song doesn't fit on this project.

Mm-hmm.

Because that would be more like an album cut. That would be like a bigger, like a broader perspective on things. Because she wasn't really pouring her heart on that song. That was like, she was flexing.

She was flexing.

Yeah.

That's what I was expecting.

That's what I thought. My expectations were so freaking high for this Alimony project. I'm like, oh my gosh, she about to get to it. But yeah, she, and also I think too, we haven't got emotional, Remy.

I've never seen it.

We've never got emotional, Remy. The closest that I remember from like R & B was the one that I was telling y'all about her and Ne-Yo so good. And she was talking about dating somebody, you know, like being in love with a man and things like that. And like actually just being in awe and intimacy. When she said, stop acting crazy, I'm going to keep it real. I just want somebody to give me something I can feel.

A little small talk and a night on the town. It can all be yours. Can we go another round? I want to, you know, so I feel like this is, different for her this is something new and she's crossing a new chapter in her life she's getting a divorce her whole identity is black love relationship papoose being married you know so i think that this is just her closing out that chapter and then the next chapter.

I hope she talking shit didn't they have a reality show or they was on They were on Loving Hip Hop. They were on Loving Hip Hop.

They were on Loving Hip Hop.

Because I remember that being a big part of their brand initially.

But I think there was some like E, remember the, you know, the network E?

Yeah.

It was either like E or Oxygen.

I remember them having a separate show.

It was like a couples, like a couples show.

Yeah, outside of, or they were on one of them, maybe a couple.

Like one of those couples shows.

Couples therapy or something like that.

Yeah.

I remember they did a lot. I remember seeing them on reality TV a lot. And that became a lot of why people started fucking with them as a couple. Because she went to prison and Pap was there the whole time. And I don't know that I wasn't there, but that was what the narrative was to us.

Yeah.

But I still am not for this family dissing family. So Remy has also been catching flack because Papoose dropped the Jezebel diss track, Jezebel Freestyle, however you want to title it. And Remy went and got a chain that says Jezebel, and then she also has a jacket that says Jezebel. And shout out to Hansel. He's a battle rapper.

He quoted it, and he was like, imagine somebody, I think he said, imagine somebody call you a bitch-ass nigga or a bitch or something like that, and you go get a chain that say bitch-ass nigga. Bitch-ass nigga probably wasn't the comparison, but you get what I'm saying.

Mm-hmm.

So she was poking fun at him calling her Jezebel, and now she's getting drug for it.

Mm-hmm.

I don't know if I would do it that way. I'll find a creative way to, like, I don't know. I do self-deprecating things all the time. And to me, I do it because it's funny.

I thought it was funny. The chain is a little crazy.

I wouldn't spend money on it like that. That's probably what it is.

The chain is crazy. But the jacket is like, oh, ha, ha. Like, you call me a Jezebel. Boom, we about to go on with the night. And that was actually her outfit at her Alimony release party.

Yeah, I probably wouldn't spend a bunch of money or time on.

It, but I could see, like, self-deprecation is good, but I wouldn't spend money on it.

I mean, it could be a fake chain. Now, if it's a fake chain, I'm kind of with that.

But I don't think Remy does fake jewelry, but I'm just saying, like, if it was a fake chain, I'd probably be with it.

On the low.

Let's talk about Quavo. What did Quavo do? Because Quavo, his new album, Chrome Life, but spelled with a Q and stuff, he got some features on his album, and I think two of them people did not expect. The first one being Offset. The second one being Tyler, the Creator. And Offset being Offset, him and Offset linking back up.

He's talked about it on multiple platforms and we all be talking to him as well. But I think it's interesting that it's kind of like it goes back to kind of like what we were talking about a few years ago when it comes to like people like getting into it.

I mean, getting into your business and.

Stuff like that where you might have a tiff or something going on with your people. But it's like I'm allowed to be or I'm allowed to have an issue with my homies. but if you come if but when it come down to it we together and I think there's so many people that don't understand I think that comes from poverty and.

The streets that culture of like.

Yeah like I might beef with you nigga but if they come nigga we together you know what I'm saying I think that's a I don't want to say it's a black thing but I definitely think it's a cultural thing and so Offset and Quavo we all know that they had their thing or whatever they reunited the BET Awards and stuff like that but him being on his album and them popping up at Quavo's listening party together, I think people were like, oh my God, they're back together.

And then Quavo did talk about it. They're going to do another, there's another Migos album coming.

That's cool.

But I think that the, the whole offset Quavo like split thing got blown.

It may, the internet made it bigger than what it probably was initially. Yeah.

I know whatever it is they had going on and some personal shit, but the fact that if they can move past it, why can't everybody else?

Yeah.

That's how I look at it.

Well, if the allegations are true, the situation is foul. Yes. And that's why I feel like Quavo might be the realest nigga in this.

Ever. Ever.

Quavo, and you asked me about it when we did the interview, you know, to be coming out soon. But the fact that he's like, I'm just about to put that past us, we family at the end of the day, and we moving on.

Yeah.

A lot of people wouldn't do that.

Correct.

A lot of people wouldn't do that, but he's really— this is an example of being the bigger person. Yeah.

I think that Quavo is definitely mature. And I'm proud of him because I think before he came up here, I think you asked me, like, have I interviewed him before? And I have. I interviewed all three of them. And when they came in, I remember specifically Quavo— being like kind of reserved. He wasn't really talkative. Offset ironically was like more jovial and like goofy. And I think those are the things that people don't know about them. Cause everybody, when they see the Migos, they all be all, they be on point.

Yeah.

And then when you start talking to them in person, they like hella cool. And so the demeanor that Offset is looked at as like the troublemaker and like, but like, Quavo was also looked at as the leader or the front man of the Migos. But I don't think that's ever gone to his head because every conversation we've ever had or I've ever seen him have and every time I've ever run into him or talked, it's not a me thing, it's a we thing.

Yeah.

And he's always been like that from back in the day when we interviewed him to now. And I just think that just takes a lot of, like, maturity.

On his part. I also think that he's gone through a lot of shit.

Yeah.

You know what I'm saying? Losing his nephew and then, like, being able to like overcome that. And then you'll see it when you see that our, our conversation is going to drop soon. But he said like, he didn't even make music for two years.

You know what I'm saying? And like, imagine you.

Not doing any media for two years or not doing anything for two years, something that you do every day.

Yeah. It's like, damn.

Also on top of that relationship problems on top of that, your family problems, money problems, like you don't know what's going on in their life.

So.

And it's happening. All of this is happening in front of the world.

In front of everybody.

You had to grieve a relationship. You had to grieve a death. All of this is happening. Also, not to even mention the things that we don't even know. The real life problems. I mean, not the real life. The everyday problems that people have, you know? But that's one thing that I do know. Death will bring people back together.

I had a homegirl who I wasn't speaking to for like a year. And then one of our friends died. We only talked because one of our friends died.

Wow.

We wouldn't be talking right now. So death does bring people back together, but I do appreciate them making up whatever it took for them to, to make up and realizing like, it's not even worth it. We are better than this. I think that that's so upstanding and I know that the fans would appreciate it.

Thank you.

Yeah.

I think I'm glad you said that.

Cause that's important for people to realize like, Hey bro, like sometimes you just got to move past it regardless of whatever. But shout out to Quavo. I think there's, I think it's dope. I was able to listen to the album in advance. I think it's just, One of his best, I mean, he dropped two solo albums, I think.

The one after Takeoff passed away, he dropped that one.

It was called Rocket Power.

Yeah, but I didn't want to say it to him because that wasn't what was on, but Quavo's first album, I congratulated him on how good this album was.

That first album wasn't it. This album is fantastic.

And I don't know if that has much to do with Pharrell, producing the whole thing or Quavo being coachable. That's why I asked him about him being coachable and listening to producers and stuff like that.

But, like, this album's fantastic. I'm really proud of Quavo.

Shout out to Quavo. Meg Thee Stallion dropped a new song on Tina Tuesdays.

I don't like it.

Tina Tuesday. You didn't like Meg's song?

I do. I loved it. That's why I don't like it.

Wait a minute.

Make it make sense.

Say that again so I can make it to me.

I liked... Meg Thee Stallion is.

I like it.

I love it. That's why I don't like it. I need that.

Was it Kim's camera on him?

Okay, I got it.

Meg Thee Stallion is a fantastic rapper. She's fantastic. I just don't like the girls, like, beefing and shit. But.

Let's get to that. Let's not peel back that layer. Let's just stick to.

The song she dropped. Hard.

Meg can rap.

Meg can rap.

And she look good doing it.

Meg can rap her ass off, bro. Can't nobody say she can't rap. Meg is one of them ones for sure. I like the fact that she's rapping and it's good.

I'm with it. I just love this shit.

You know what I mean?

That's all. What? It's just like.

Let's unpack that.

So is this, this is a diss song, yes? The freestyle that she did?

I don't think it's a diss song. I think there was a shot.

There's some bars in there.

Yeah.

Okay. And Meg and Glow really went on tour together.

Mm-hmm.

Whose tour was it?

I don't remember.

I believe it was Megan's.

It was Meg's tour.

And she brought GLOW. And she brought GLOW to open up for her.

So, I think this is, I think, one, on one hand, we love rap. We love when people get started and we love when people rap. On the other hand, it's like, I think it's too early for, like, the girls, especially the main ones, to be like, like, we have, we don't, I don't think that we have enough footing with the female rap.

Mm-hmm.

At it being respected by everybody as a main thing for the Nicky Carty thing to be happening.

But I feel like female rappers have been beefing from the beginning of time.

I agree. But now it's like a wave to me.

I was just listening to an Eve song. I think it was Blow Your Mind. I think it was Blow Your Mind. What's the Eve song? Was she on the motorcycle? Was she going with Gwen Stefani?

Yeah.

And they were pointing out on Twitter that she was sending shots at somebody.

For real? Yeah.

And then.

Drop Your Glasses, Shake Your Ass, that one?

Yeah.

No way.

I believe that's the one. Don't quote me, you clippers.

No way. Yeah.

Just look up what song that Eve did somebody on. And then Foxy and Lil' Kim, didn't they beef back in the day?

I think that was a thing.

Or was it Foxy and Jackie O?

I've heard rumors that it was Foxy.

Yeah. And then there's some. Damn. Because the thing is, the thing is, I feel like back then, unless it was like clear beef, the diss tracks weren't direct. They were very indirect.

Yeah.

Or it was like songs like a single with Gwen Stefani on it. That doesn't seem like it's dissing somebody. But I mean, a lot of this stuff went over our heads. We were kids when it came out. Did anything pop up?

It didn't pop up. It said there was a legend that it was like Mary J. Blige, Lauryn Hill, but nothing ever concrete. That's what it says.

What song is it?

Blow Your Mind.

I looked up Blow Your Mind in reference to a diss, and it says there's no substantial evidence to point.

Let me see. You got to ask that.

Twitter. Oh, see, I don't go there. I don't be over there.

Let me see what Twitter talking about. But, yeah, I don't.

I'm not saying that they can't do it and it won't be good for the sport of it and stuff like that.

I'm just saying, like, I think that.

Oh, Lil' Kim.

Fuck.

Turn my mic off. Okay, so it says Kanye produced a Lil' Kim song, a Lil' Kim diss track that was aimed at Eve.

Oh, okay. That's crazy, though. I understand there's been, like, this song is like.

So it's supposed to be an Eve and Foxy Brown diss. It was Blow Your Mind, too. Wait, this is another one. Foxy Brown, Get Off Me, an Eve diss. Oh, you said it. It sounds like she's about to say her name, right?

Yeah, yeah.

Get y'all shit off. Get y'all shit off.

I understand. Meg is rapping her ass off. But Glow can rap too, so.

Oh.

That verse. Fuck, I'm trying to mute it. Oh, shit. Oh, fuck. Fuck. What? What? Why did she just, she just crashed out?

It is.

That was almost like an animated cartoon crash.

You went through the window and everything.

They're going to turn me into something. I didn't want.

It to flag us. It's okay. Go ahead and have a seat. I'm not on you.

Yeah, I don't got no problem with it.

She had a bar for her.

It was a bar, right?

It was a bar. Some of y'all are too concerned with fashion. Some of y'all are too concerned with fashion. Some of y'all ain't writing too concerned with fashion.

That was aimed at Kim. That was aimed at Kim.

Yeah, I understand. This record is just a part of hip-hop. I'm not tripping, but... And.

Didn't Glo go first?

Did she?

Yes.

Yes, she did.

What'd she say?

I don't know what she said exactly, but it was her first. It's on the dock.

Oh, shit. Oh, no.

It's the very first... Quote, Ho tried to little sis me, I passed her. Victim playing asshole, stop capping. And Meg said, they bringing up hits, you bitches. Shaduck passing up who in reference to what? I'm like a planet. I keep me a son, son. Like, I keep me a son, a son. Turn bitches by when I put on this polar.

I let them have summer because Tina is colder.

Damn, man. Yeah. Hey, man, more power to the girlies.

She said, y'all can have that hot girl summer shit. Y'all can have it.

That's one little bar, though. And she gave her a bar back. Well, a couple bars, but yeah.

Shout out to Glow. Hopefully they can go back on the road together.

You trying to get that interview with her?

Nah, I'm just, I really just think.

What's going on?

Nah, I would like to talk to either one of them, but. I don't know. I just like, I like the camaraderie in the female rep. Yeah. I just think that that's rare.

It can be competitive though. I feel like this is not, this isn't as bad as, I don't think this is real beef. I think that they can come back from this. No different than Lotto and Coil Array making up. You know, Lotto had the bar when she said, when she said Blunt's biggest, Blunt's small, biggest Coil Array or something like that, size of Coil Array. I forgot what it is verbatim, but they've made up. And they had an interaction that just got leaked on social media when Jason Lee asked Koi about her beef with Lotto. And apparently her and Lotto's sister had a little scuffle, you know, but they've gotten past it. I believe that Lotto and Cardi will get past this. Nikki and Cardi can never get past

it because they went too far on social media. Kids were brought into it. Relationships was brought into it. I wanted to ask Quavo about that too, but I was just like, whatever. About motorsport? I hate that I could never see Nicki and Cardi perform that together.

Yeah.

Them, both them verses is hard.

Bro, when that song came out, we was like, cause I'm at the radio station and we had to play the record and I'm just like, I thought it was, I ain't gonna lie, I thought it was.

I thought it was like a fake song.

I remember when they said Joe Budden was crazy for saying that Nicki is, Nicki's verse is talking to Cardi. Watch your mans, then you should watch your mouth.

I never paid attention like that.

So why you say it was crazy then?

Just to have them together on the song.

Oh, okay, okay.

Because when we was at the radio station, somebody made an edit where they took, like, that's going to sound funny, but we took some of the Migos shit off of it, and it was like the first verse and Cardi and Nicki. And then that's the version we played on the radio.

That shit hard, though. That is one of their both best verses.

For sure.

And Cardi look fucking... Well, they both look good. But I love Cardi so much. Like, they look so freaking good in that. But yeah, this ain't nothing.

This ain't bad.

This ain't bad. It's just a little shot. The niggas do it all the time. We don't have no problem with it when the men do it.

I don't.

I like the camaraderie. I tell you, I like the camaraderie amongst the girls. I like them going on tour. Like, I think we talked about it before, but I would love to see, like, one of them tours.

Like, imagine, like, the.

like an up and smoke tour or something like that of that caliber, but just women. That shit would be crazy.

They tried to do it.

I know.

Queen Latifah tried to do it, I think.

I think just something like that would be dope culturally that we've never seen before. You've never seen like a tour where it's like five headline female rappers on one tour, like going around the country together.

That should be hard to do.

Well, speaking of songs that we will never see all features perform, Fucking Problems has gotten one billion streams on Spotify.

Yeah, I've seen 2 Chainz post it. He's like.

Congratulations!

That's dope. That was hard. Congratulations to everybody involved.

I think that that's one of them songs that nobody assumed that.

It's called Fucking Problems. And so when it went number one, I was like, how did this happen? But obviously it's an Avengers-level event with everybody on the song. We'll never see it performed like everybody together, but I seen 2 Chainz posted that, too. He's like, it's a shame. We'll never get all these niggas on.

Never get all them on stage.

Never get all these niggas on stage.

Ooh, I know you love it when this beat is on. Make me think about all the niggas I've been. I love it.

Is there a price to work with someone that y'all don't really rock with? DJ Head and Gina Views, is there a price on that? To work with somebody.

We need to work with.

And let's just say if 2 Chainz wants to perform this, what's the number to get people to perform?

No, that ain't happening.

They rich.

Yeah, they wealthy. They're not.

Is there a number for you guys?

All three of them niggas is wealthy. You know what I'm saying?

There's a number for me. I don't know what the number is. It depends on the work and who I'm working with. But there is a number. Because I don't hate anybody. I'm really not beefing with no... I don't have no beef for real. It's people that I don't, like, fuck with. There are people who I do not want to share the same air as me. But if they on fire, I would call 911. You better than me. Now, I wouldn't pour my Mount Valley on them.

Yeah.

But I'll call 911. Irene said y'all.

Better than her.

I wonder if I would do that.

Is there a price, DJ Head?

I mean, there's a price. There's always a price.

But it would be substantially hefty like I don't I don't even know what the number like genius I don't even know what the number is but for somebody like if I was like oh do some content or do an interview or like I don't know what the price would be it would have to be crazy.

A little honesty here.

There might be but the price would be so it's astronomical it wouldn't even make sense for anybody.

To do it what's the astronomical price.

Actually it probably wouldn't be it would be a number attached to it but it would also be stipulations Okay.

You know what I'm saying?

So a number and stipulations.

They all would for sure be stipulations on the whole thing, yeah.

Okay, okay.

You know what I'm saying? Like, yeah. I made a bet.

I remember this guy. I forgot his name. There was a guy that I had did it. I forgot who he was on. I think I did one of them things. It was like the big round tables that Justin Hunt be doing for the culture or something like that. Now, that's way shit. But we were doing Culture United. I think we did something like that. And there was a guy who was like really upset with me and debating and stuff like that. And he was basically, I think we bet, I was trying to bet in platforms. Cause he was telling me like, Hey, this person, this person will get on stage in like a year from now.

And I was like, was this, um, virtual or.

I think it was virtual.

I was on it.

Yeah.

And I was trying to, I think I was trying to bet him. Like I will never do any media or content ever again, or you never do any media or ever content ever again. I'm telling you this is not going to happen. He's like, but he didn't want to make the bet. I was willing to bet him.

But it'd be stuff like that because I don't really engage in things that I'm not really that sure about on that level.

Yeah, you give me, I'm cheap. You give me $ 10, 000, I'll sit next to her. That's it, T-Bass?

That's it?

I'm so cheap. Give me the money. That's what I'm saying. It ain't genuine anyway because I'm attaching money to it.

You know?

I'm literally here for the check.

I ain't gonna lie there is a there's a female in the business who I don't rock with on any level shape any way shape or form I despise her and I shot a TV show and she was there for the TV show as like literally sitting like she was sitting right close to me that one and not that one we were literally in close proximity like where Irene is and we was shooting the scene I was kicking.

There you go, cut. You know, I'm.

Good with that.

And she tried to, like, make small talk. I'm like, hey, this ain't that, champ. Like, don't talk to me. You already know what it is. But I was doing, it wasn't for no money. I was doing it for I was doing it for my people who asked me to do the show.

I did a whole show with a bitch. Okay. Okay. I did a whole show with a bitch. I love Gina. Got me sitting up here.

Cut. Literally just like that.

Bitch, don't even look at me, bitch. Bitch, don't talk to me in a pre-production meeting. Bitch, don't make eye contact with me. Nothing. I did that for free.

Shut up.

That's my bag right there. I love to make a motherfucker feel invisible. Because it ain't no beef. I just don't fuck with you. You know, if it was real beef, then we would get cracking. But it ain't no beef. I just don't fuck with you. And that type of shit hurt people more than you getting into it with them.

Yeah, I can see that.

You know?

I can see that. That hurt people.

But let's move along before I ask that bitch where she at.

Let's talk about her.

I'm getting mad. I forgot about the bitch. I done got re-triggered.

Stop it. I want to shout out to a couple people. I want to shout out to Buddy. I want to shout out to Peyton Alex Smith. I want to shout out to Jason Martin and. And G Malone, they all went to New York. They've been on the East Coast, like, promoting the drop and stuff like that, right?

I saw.

And they was at the basketball games. They doing all this other, they doing all the press and doing all the things. And the craziest thing is, I think Peyton Alex Smith, who plays James on the drop, people is like, man, I want to, they kind of want him to be in character when they meeting him and stuff like that.

I feel bad for him now. Because it's like, Peyton is not a real crip, like, from South Central, bro. But they be wanting that. When they be like, yo, James. And he's like, yeah, what's up?

How you doing? You know, he's really polite and shit. And they be like, bro, that's a character. Yeah.

But I think now he's too far gone into the James thing that people is like, yo, I just seen James.

Niggas is texting. Yo, I just seen James. He in New York. It's like, that's not James.

That's not J-Loco. Do not bang on him.

Peyton is a cool dude, bro. It's like, but shout out to the homies, man. They out there doing that. And The Drop is number one.

Globally on Hulu, Disney +, and it has a 100% Rotten Tomatoes score, which is incredible. The show is created and starred by black people.

How long we gonna act like you not on the show?

I'm gonna get into that. But I want to give props to Malcolm Spellman and I also want.

To talk about- We did all that. We did all that. I'm ready to give you props. Nigga, you want to shout. They in New York.

They da-da-da-da.

You're on a fucking TV show. And I've been holding this shit in for weeks. Like, God damn. You shouted all them niggas up. We four episodes in. You already thanked everybody. You shouted everybody out. We've been here. It's your turn. DJ Block.

Nigga's been texting me all, bro, all day. DJ Block, DJ Block. I saw him calling you now. I'm like, okay.

You're DJ Block. And I want you to start dressing like him. Okay, wake it up. Yeah, I was like, look at my homeboy.

Wake it up.

Look at my homeboy. Coming through the club. When you walked in the club, they was like, Rhonda, who is that? That's DJ Block. And then you dissed her. You had dissed her. Then you went to the back and then you came back out when the song was playing and you was like, I fuck with this. I fuck with Artillery.

And I ain't never seen you in a strip club before.

Yeah, you probably won't. I mean, depending on what happens.

I couldn't believe all them titties that was out.

It was hella titties.

That was a lot of titties. I'm like, you can do this? Kids have access to Hulu.

So what's funny is.

All them titties. And FX is on regular cable. That ain't even HBO or Showtime.

That's why at the top, there's a little rating at the top. The TV Mature.

Nobody can fuck about that rating. Nobody can fuck about that rating. I needed a thing to pop up that say, how.

Old are you?

All them titties.

TVMA.

They had titties on Snowball?

Yeah.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. They had crack on there, huh?

They was doing crack.

Cracking titties. That was so nice to see you on my screen, though. Like, I was tight and you know how to act.

That was that was a challenge for me I ain't gonna hold you because I take I look at things like like I like I look at acting as a real craft so I shout out to Jason Martin he gave me this book I got this book um on acting but Gail is really like a really good like person to like do that with she's she's amazing Gail plays a Wanda Bell but she was like, yeah, just relax, do this, let's go over some lines.

I'm like, okay.

So she reading with me and we doing it because it's like, that scene was cut a lot. It was like, I had a whole page that I had to learn.

And, I saw the cuts.

You could see the cuts?

I can hear it too.

So it was like, that scene was cut a little bit, but, With the exchange, right?

Yeah.

Like our exchange was cut down a lot or whatever. So, I'm not tripping off that. I'm just glad I made it into the final edit. But, She was so gracious with helping me. You were talking about how you'd be nervous.

You'd be like, bro, I'd be nervous.

You was nervous? I wasn't nervous. I was just, I don't want to be the reason to fuck this up. Because with a production, and you know how this works, if you're off by, if you mess the scene up and y'all got to reset, reset, reset, that could push the production back 20 minutes. Because they have to reset lights, reset background, reset extras. And then that 20 minutes now runs into lunch. And then the lunch runs over and now you over budget by a hundred thousand dollars. And it's just because you didn't have, you wasn't on point enough to hit your lines and hit your mark or whatever.

So it's like learning those things. In addition to having to be an actor is a different set of brain that you got to access. Like it's a different part of your brain because you have to be in the scene, make sure your facial expressions and everything's right. But it's also tape on the ground that you can't look at, but it's also a camera. It's like, if I'm looking at you, imagine it's, It's six people behind you, three cameras, two people on each camera and a nigga holding the mic boom. And I'm supposed to be having a conversation with you without making eye contact or looking at these, you know what I'm saying? So it's like, and then when they, it's really fuck you up when they move the person out the way and you're not talking to nobody.

So, cause they need to close up. So when they shoot the over the shoulder shot.

So you just talking to, you just talking to yourself. So you like, and then Loki, we did, about four or five takes of that specific scene. And I gave him, cause I'm reading the script and I'm like, I need to figure out a way. Shout out to, um, Dove C, Dove C. He's, um, one of the, uh, uh, cultural consultants on the show, him and glasses. He gave me some real game, like some real OG game. Cause he used to coach dancing on their, on the original snowfall.

And he was like, he was giving me pointers and shit. And low key, when i was when i was reading the script i'm like i gotta they was like basically figure out a way to make it your own make the scene your own and i'm like so you don't want me to read the script like you want me to add lip no no no no you need at least you need to hit the lines on the script verbatim but you also need to figure out ways to make to own your scene without moving your body without moving the mark and i'm like i don't know what the fuck that means so it's like So we did the one scene where I just did word for word.

Then we did another scene where I hit it word for word and I added like a little ad lib to it.

And then we added another scene.

We did it. We did like three times. I was like, Hey, y'all mind if I try something? And they're like, what do you want to do? I'm like, I told Gail on the low.

I said, Hey, we're not going to tell the, because the shot, the director, she, he was cool as fuck. But I was like, let's not tell them.

I want you to hold the tape up high enough for me to, for me to snap or, Hand the tape to me because that wasn't part of the thing. She was trying to hand the tape to me and I didn't take it. It was the original scene. Like, I'm not I'm not working tonight. That was the original scene. I said, I'm going to take it from you. I'm going to throw it back in your purse. That was my idea. And she was like, OK, improv. She was like, OK.

And so we hit we did it. And I was like, hey, and I took I said, I'm not working. I threw it in her purse. And then she was like, she had this look on her, and we hit some more. She hit her mark or whatever, and they cut. They was like, oh, that was amazing. That was amazing. That was great. Because they didn't know. I didn't tell them what I was going to do. And that's the one that they kept. They didn't keep none of the shit they told me to do.

That's tight.

So I was like, okay, now I'm starting to understand how to do it.

Yeah.

Because you made it natural. Yeah, it was natural.

Because it's like, that's something that a root. Because I asked the director, I said, Him, and shout out to Rashidi, too. I asked both of them, like, am I supposed to be an asshole?

Am I rude?

Am I just telling her no thank you? Like, they were like, no, no, no. You're supposed to be being a dick to her. I'm like, oh, I know how to do that.

Yeah, I do that all day. I know.

I'm like, I need, you know what I'm saying? Like, I remember Felly Fell doing that to me. Like, so I'm like, oh, I could do some shit like that. But, so I just, you know, boom. So I did that, and then they kept it. I was just like, damn, that's fire. I didn't know that they was going to keep that cut. But that was dope. And then in addition to that, there was.

Some other stuff on set that I learned from an actor's perspective, which was interesting. The first one being don't eat before you get on camera.

Yeah, the fart.

No. So I'm on set.

You know when you be on a big production, they got hella food, craft services everywhere. I'm enjoying the vibes. I'm in the donut tray. I'm getting danishes. I'm eating all kind of shit. And probably them is all looking at me. They all just standing over there like, look at this nigga.

Look, look.

And I'm like, are we not supposed to be eating the food that they put out for us? And they like, say they pull me inside the head. This is going to be everywhere. I'm like, what do you mean?

I'm like, nigga, you're about to be on a global television show.

This is going on Disney +. Don't eat before you do the scene, nigga. Eat after the scene. And I'm like, so I'm like, oh. They're like, yeah, you might fuck around and get some shit in your teeth. It's just too many variables. So I'm like, damn, that's a good point. I mean, that's a big-ass chocolate donut, right? So he was like, and then Problem was like, bro, look around.

So I look around. Niggas is doing push-ups. Niggas doing pull-ups. Niggas is jogging in place.

Niggas is like.

And you over there eating snacks.

I'm eating big ass. I had two dogs.

This nigga over there snacking.

So I was like, oh, okay.

So then I applied that knowledge for, you know, for later on.

Yeah. Yeah, that was nice. Same episode while Tommy Kwan makes his debut. And he did a phenomenal job.

He bottomed everybody.

I literally believed his character.

He bodied everybody.

I believed his character. He did so good. The way he got up on her. Yeah, got up on her. Give me some. I love that. Oh, and my little cousin is in Snowfall, too. Shout out to DJ. Yeah, so he's the person when y'all walk in the club and he just walk by and he drinking a bottle. He got the girl with him.

Oh, okay.

In the strip club.

That's what's up.

I end up finding out that my cousin actually casted all y'all.

For real?

Yeah, another cousin. It's like older, who I never met before.

Wow. Yeah. Well, tell him thank you. Then we'll split out in that ta-da.

That was tight. That was tight.

Yeah, Quan killed his part. Him and Dara, that scene was fire.

But everybody's talking about the scene when, after the strip club, and Leon and Wanda are outside, and they talking, and she, in real time, friend zones Leon. And then Dara just walks up and just gets straight at it. Like, get right to it. I need a motherfucking, I need a fucking gangster in my life. And I could be every type of woman you want me to be. While Wanda's standing there. That was like one of the coldest things to see in real time. That was one of the coldest.

I was like, oh, this is the scene. This is the scene that everybody. It was two scenes that I knew. Last episode was James in the blue apartment.

And that scene. I was like, that's going to go crazy on social media.

Wanda better than me.

Why?

I would have knocked Dara out.

Y'all not.

I don't care. You playing with me. She don't know about the conversation I just had with Leon.

She asked the question when she walked up.

I don't remember nobody answering her. The whole city know about Wanda and Leon. These two are an item. I don't care. I don't care that I just cut him off and I told him that we better off as friends. I don't care about that. We know Wanda don't mean that. We know Wanda don't mean that. We know she's spazzing out.

Now we done found out that they lost a baby. She's going through this, her professional, you know, I don't know, did she lose the labor or is in jeopardy of being lost? Her position in the music industry is in jeopardy of being lost. They can't get the single out there because the bigwigs, the white men said, no, we don't care about hip hop. And then you walk, I'm going through all of this. And then I have an exciting, I have a really, really big moment in the midst of all of this chaos. We done made money off, we done made street money off the record, off the tape.

And then it's going up in a strip club. And bitch, you think you about to walk up to me? You think you about to get in my nigga in front of me? I need, nigga, I need that. Nigga, I need that.

But you know what's fucking crazy, though? It's the next scene.

Leon and Dara tongue kissing. But I expected him to do that. He a nigga. He don't care about her. He don't respect her.

He don't respect who?

He don't respect Dara.

Why?

On some gangsta shit probably. But not in no intimate situation.

Why you say that?

He laughed when she said that. He went and snuck behind Wanda back and pulled up on her. He didn't say, all right, what's up, I'll be that for you. He still ain't said that. They probably got cracking in the car. He probably got some dong. She was already tonguing it up in the club with the stripper, and they was in the bathroom doing powder. Dara probably is a nasty. Yeah.

I fuck with Dara. I like her.

What would you do if a female did that to you while you're with an ex who just friendzoned you?

The same thing Leon did.

In the moment? Yeah. And then you going behind her back and you going here?

I would do exactly what Leon.

That's what I'm saying. You don't respect her.

It's not that I don't respect her. I actually do respect her, which is why I would have did it. I wouldn't fuck with her if I didn't respect it.

So why wouldn't you say it in front of Wanda?

There really wasn't no say. Dara said her piece, and she said, that's all I wanted to say, and.

She got on. And he chose up.

I said, why wouldn't you?

There was no need to.

So why go pull up later on then?

Because he probably thought about it.

I done had that before where I done, she's like, women have said stuff to me and I had to go, like, synthesize it.

And then after that, I was like, okay, yeah.

Did your little wife that?

Dara?

Yeah.

Not because of the powder, no. But I didn't know about the powder. But other than that, yeah.

Other than that, what do you mean other than that, yeah? Like, what do you mean other than that, yeah? Like, what do you mean other than that, yeah?

Like, powder, no. I can't do powder. But, yeah. Based on her actions and stuff like that, yeah. That wouldn't bother me.

You would get in bed with a bitch that can have her homie smoke you. That's what you telling me right now.

I think I've done that before. We from the ghetto, fool. That's how we grew up.

You fucked with a bitch that would set you up?

Oh, no. That would? No. But you said could.

They set up the music executive. They stripped them. You will fuck with a bitch that will have you stripped.

Oh, I see what you're saying. Did you watch the show?

Or are you just in it?

No, no, no. I watched the show.

We talk about Dara's whole character.

Her whole character.

Her whole character.

I think that I've been involved with someone of that caliber before.

All right.

At this point in my life, no, I'm too old for that shit.

We're only talking about this point in your life.

But I'm just saying, I think I've done that before where I was a different mentality. Yeah. But like at this point, I'm like, hell no.

So you wouldn't fuck with Dara at this point in your life?

Right now, no. I would fuck with a girl who did what she did, yes. But not her specifically, no. Okay. That's where I'm at with it.

But last question. Do you think Lamar is the problem? Because the internet mad at Lamar. Everybody hate Lamar.

Wait, what did Lamar do today?

Lamar is a producer.

He just, he was, well, one, he was making it about him. Like, I don't want, he wants to basically control the music that's being put out.

Yeah.

But then, Lamar at this point is, he pushed Back to the Hood as the song.

And now it's working.

So now people are like, he was the problem, but is he still the problem even because the record is working?

They all keep doing stupid shit. Okay. Leon is the only smart one here. Because the way, it's like, y'all don't, did y'all read the contract?

No, they didn't read the contract.

So they stupid to me because when it was a part where she was like, it's our song or they haven't heard it yet or something like that. You signed a contract. Everything that you do, they own you. Nigga, I own you. Wrong universe, huh? Nigga, I own you. Everything that you do from this point forward belongs to them.

They own it.

Yeah.

I thought that was very, very stupid. Now, obviously, it's a movie. It's entertaining. I'm happy it worked. Well, we don't even know if it's going to work. We don't know if it's going to work yet. I think my prediction is that they are going to release them, and then she's going to just start her own label, and Leon's going to fund it. Or the executive is going to see that it worked in the streets, and then is going to be like, all right, we can fuck with it now because we saw that it worked.

Don't look at me and don't even try to want to even say.

I'm not saying nothing. Do you have thoughts on episode four?

I really like episode four. I'm bittersweet with the Dara situation because, yes, you know that Leona Wanda is a thing and I'm for Leona Wanda. I have a soft spot for Leona Wanda. But I understand from the point of like, go after what you want. Like, shoot your shot.

Go get it.

I see both sides.

Y'all would never do that.

Not in person. I shot my shot, though.

I've done it before. But not in person.

I don't even, don't.

You slid on somebody knowing that thing.

Oh, no, not with another person there.

No, no, no. So what are you talking about?

Sorry, finish. Jesus. Finish.

Wrong universe.

But for the sake of good TV, I love the scene. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. I love the scene, but I'm torn. I'm torn because I see both sides, but I always see both sides of stuff. But more than anything, I'm hot because I really like Wanda and Leon.

Yeah.

And Leon, you know that Wanda wants you.

Bro. She playing you.

Like, she's saying little stuff, but women do that all the time.

Like, you know Wanda wants you. So he's supposed to just know that. Yeah.

He.

Yes, yes, yes, yes, actually, yes.

Yeah.

The nigga in the house looking at old pictures, listening to old music and shit. I lost a baby, too. They love each other. And he keep giving her the money. I was just about to say, he keep giving her the money. He keep helping her. He keeps helping her. I bailed your two cousins out. I already gave you some money. I got you out of the gym. Thank you.

He loves her. Thank you. But what I gathered is that Dara and Leon have something going on before. They been fucking around.

I got from that they know of each other. There's a mutual respect in the hood.

I'm starting to think that y'all really wasn't working on that show. Because Kwan said verbatim.

I worked on the after show.

Okay. Well, I'm starting to think you didn't work on the show. I'm starting to think you wasn't there. Kwan said verbatim. What you talking about? That shit with you and Leon back in the day? Y'all didn't hear that?

Oh, see, I forgot that. I did forget that.

But.

So they been have something going on.

And Leon still know he wrong.

He said Leon from back in the day. He didn't say, like, her having anything going on. He was like, Leon from back in the day. He was making a reference to, like, OG Snowfall. That's what I took from that. He said, you mean Leon from back in the day?

That's what he... I thought he meant, like, referencing the old.

I need to rewatch it. Because I might have heard that.

He wasn't saying you and Leon from back in the day. He was saying, like, Leon. Oh, yeah, we know who he is. He was showing respect to Leon.

He didn't show respect to Leon. That was disrespectful.

I'm saying he was acknowledging that he knew who Leon was from back in the day.

Got it. Okay. Well, the other thing that I really enjoyed with this episode is seeing that J-Loco... Has a soft spot. He is as soft as cotton. And I wanted to go rub his back. I wanted to go rub James' back. Because he's so gangster. Everybody respect him. Niggas don't play with him. And he's in that house going through it.

Going through it.

That was a very, very emotional scene.

He'll be going through it.

And the problem is he be dealing with all of the shit from... Big Daddy and Mama G, but then, because he have to take care of Lamar, but then he dealing with the street shit. And then at the same time, he got to make sure Wanda good because Wanda's ruffling feathers and you, she's fucking the household up.

Yeah.

But that granny, I don't like that granny.

Mama G is a problem.

I don't like that granny. Hopefully, I may at some point start to understand her.

You will.

Because when they started reminiscing and showing all the pictures of the kids with the mom and stuff like that, and I'm guessing whatever happened with her in the music industry or whatever is the reason why she don't even want them to dibble and dabble in that. And that's how older people of that generation are. My daddy had a real problem with me being around rappers early on. Really? Yeah.

Because of how he saw the whole shit coming up?

I mean, that generation don't explain themselves. I don't want you doing it. With you over there getting fucked in the studio, you know? Like, they don't explain themselves. It's just no. It's just so, no. You know? So, I think that we'll eventually be able to see, like, why she be tripping like that. But she had me messed up slapping Wanda. That was very disrespectful.

That was crazy.

And then you just sitting on the phone gossiping about her like she not right there. Wanda better than me. I don't care how old you are. You gotta get down. Can't no adult put they hands on me.

So, you a fighter?

Yes.

You would tune that?

Yeah, no, we not doing the hitting.

70-year-old lady?

We, girl, ain't you supposed to be my family? Yeah, we, hit me, I'm hitting you back.

Yes.

Avery, you feel the same way? An older person? I ain't seen Snowfall yet. No. An old person hit you?

Yo, grandfather slapped the shit out of you.

He a 70-year-old man. You okay with fighting a 70-year-old? You ever heard the term old man strength? Then, you know, we don't have to get down.

Yeah.

Damn. Avery, you feel the same way?

Mm-hmm. You got to respect me. That's disrespectful. After I hit 18, we both adults.

Facts.

If an adult hit you, what you doing?

I probably wouldn't fight an old person.

What are you doing?

Honestly, I would try to remove myself if I can't.

Hey, if your grandpa smack you or swing on you, you not going to hit nothing back?

No.

Okay.

Not my grandfather, no.

Okay, the 70-year-old man at Target.

No. If you an old-ass man, like, no.

A 50-year-old man at Target. Nigga, you 40. Nigga only 10 years older than you.

I'm talking about 70.

When you was 28, he was 38.

That's not now, though.

Oh, my God.

Head.

I think if he looks like an old-ass decrepit man, I'm not finna fight him, no.

When's the cutoff for you then, Head? I don't know the age. It depends on what he... Give us an age. Probably 60. I'm not fighting nobody over 60. Social Security age. Social security. Yeah, retirement. If you getting social security, I ain't fucking with you.

I'll slap the shit out of somebody.

What? Okay, what if a lady's in one of them little wheelchairs?

Makes it easy. I will slap the shit out of her. My mama watching right now. If she hits me, I'm slapping her back. My mama's watching right now.

I will get cracking.

Some old people act away because they be like, oh, I'm old.

They're not going to hit me. No, I'll hit you. And I'll knock you out of your wheelchair. Like, what the fuck?

Yeah.

I'm not hitting you first. I'm not starting it. But she slapped the shit out of Wanda.

She slapped the fire out of her.

And before that, she was disrespecting her. That's why I don't disrespect my parents. I don't talk to them crazy. I don't talk to no adults crazy. I don't talk out of turn. I don't cuss around them. I was saying S on the phone to my daddy today. S, S, S, S, S, S. You know, you can't like, you can't get up. My mama got up on me. My mama got up on me like two months ago. And I backed up. and dip, because I already knew, if she did it, I was going to do it back.

She was going to take her through the hair.

I was like, hey, back up, mama.

I guess if you bold enough to do that, but Because at.

This point, it's a respect thing. That means you don't respect me as an adult. As a grown-up, you don't respect me that you think that you can put your hands on me rather than having a civil conversation.

Yeah, I agree.

Who do you think? That's why the same conversation we were talking about last week with women stalking their sons and dads hitting their daughters and stuff. You're normalizing violence. You're normalizing somebody putting their hands on you. That's not cool. If I hit you, then that's different. And if I'm out of line talking, yelling, disrespecting you, then that's different.

I'm out of line. But as an adult to adult, can't nobody put their hands on me.

You also may not know until you get hit. That's true. Once you get hit, that changes. Yeah.

And they not going to know until they get hit back.

Mike Tyson used to say that. Everybody got a plan until they get hit. Until they get hit in the mouth. I mean, I agree with that.

I've been hit in the mouth.

Me too.

And I get cracky.

I understand. I just don't, I don't know. If the old person looks like really fucked up and old, I don't know. But, um, okay.

What if your nose get busted?

See, I thought about that while y'all was talking. I think it has some, it's a formula. It's an algorithm that would, that would be depending on the amount of damage versus how old the person is.

They knock your glasses off, you're going to be mad as hell. Don't nobody like to get their glasses knocked off. You're going to be mad.

My glasses broke, I'm probably going to hit the nigga back.

You see how easy it was to answer that? Hey, bro.

Check this out. Prescription is expensive, bro. Now we talking about costing me money? Yeah.

I low-key feel more disrespected costing me money than, like, trying to, like, physically harm me. You costing me money, like, that's probably going to be a bigger problem.

All right. We can get up out of here.

Okay.
