Episode 5 – “Hide-and-Seek and DOC_B12_SHOW”
Get ready to descend into the darkness...this week on Inside Old House, Sandy and Skye tackle Chapter 3: Hide-and-Seek and the document DOC_B12_SHOW.
We follow Eve and Thomas’s unsettling search for Jenny through Old House’s twisted basement, a place that feels less like a room and more like a portal between realities. We break down the haunting details of the basement’s rotting structure, the strange behavior of Thomas, the recurring presence of ants, and eerie clues pointing to Jenny possibly slipping into another Old House entirely.
We also explore theories about the dumbwaiter as a shortcut, the symbolism of blinking eyes behind the wardrobe, and why Thomas’s contradictions suggest he’s holding onto sanity by a thread. Plus, we dive into the first appearance of the Ring of Eyes and how even old show flyers reveal hidden fractures in Thomas’s story about his father.
From eldritch horror metaphors to basement blueprints and the strange "heart" of the Old Houses, this chapter is where Old House really starts to show its teeth.
