Ep 8: REFUGE and A21_SLEEP

Important: If you've come here to find answers... you'll be disappointed. If anything, you'll leave with even more questions.

Episode 8 – Refuge
In this episode of Inside Old House, Sandy and Skye dive into Chapter 5, Refuge, and the document A21_SLEEP.
We break down the eerie calm before the next wave of horror, as Eve and Charlie reflect on the Fausts and what small, almost dismissible signs are already hinting that reality is shifting. We explore Eve’s growing self-doubt, Charlie’s increasingly strange behavior, the significance of the locket and the fireplace nails, and the idea that paranoia might not be irrational after all when you live inside Old House.
We also examine Thomas’s night terror outside in the snow, connecting it to larger patterns of apologies, broken memories, and the haunting possibility that the Old House feeds on people who are vulnerable to guilt, caretaking, or self-blame. Plus, we unpack the A21_SLEEP document and why its explanation of sleep paralysis feels suspiciously like misdirection.
As the lines between memory, trauma, and reality blur even further, Eve's simple act of inviting strangers inside continues to ripple outward with terrifying consequences.
