Alcaraz Rolling, Zverev Survives, Eala Looking Strong | US Open Something Major Round 2 | EP 210

On this episode of Something Major from the US Open, Sam, John, and Stevie debate Zverev’s form, time on court, and late-night scheduling before reacting to Rafa Jodar’s surprising first-round collapse. They also praise Carlos Alcaraz for rolling after a slow start, while covering Felix Auger-Aliassime’s loss to Khachanov, Dane Sweeny’s upset of Musetti, and Alex Michelsen’s rout of Brandon Nakashima.
The crew runs through another strong day for the Americans, with Shelton, Fritz, Tiafoe, and Tommy Paul all advancing, plus Paul’s incredible around-the-net-post highlight. Plus, they discuss Monfils’ US Open farewell, cannabis complaints, Alcaraz calling for longer breaks, Madi Keys’ wild comeback, and preview key third-round matchups, including a wide-open section guaranteed to produce a first-time men’s quarterfinalist.
