From Hollywood to you.
Thank you for listening to us.
Ryan Seacrest.
Seacrest.
On air, on air, on air with Ryan Seacrest.
Well, at 2.7, Kiss FM, good morning. We got more of that heatness over the weekend. We endured it. And we got it again today. Not quite as hot, but still hot for this time of year. Good morning, everybody.
Good morning.
Good morning.
I'm ready to be done with the heat, though. I'm done with it.
Until it gets cold.
Right.
Then when it gets cold.
I like it cold in the mornings. You get to like put your heat seats, you know, the heater on.
Can I say heat seats? Is that what they're called?
Yeah.
They make my, they make me have to go potty when I heat my car.
Really?
Oh no, I love it. And like on the steering wheel, like I just like, I like that coldness in the morning.
I don't need it. Anyway, you'll get it. Some point.
Eventually.
Not today. Ronnie's going to be out with free gas. He's in Huntington Beach this morning with the free gas. Hello, back room. Good morning.
Good morning.
Michaela, were you excited to come in this morning and see all of us? And what were you most excited about for all of us to see with you?
I was so excited, and I just love every morning with you guys.
I'll tell you, but I want you to prove it. You need one of these sleep data machines. I am a prove. I was so excited again, five hours and five minutes of sleep. That's all. I was in bed for nine, but only five Oh five of sleep time. What does that tell you? I'm running a deficit and I'm excited.
Yeah.
Like you couldn't sleep last night.
I couldn't sleep. So excited. Four hours. I guess I tossed and turned. I know it was remarkable to me too.
He gets up, he goes to the bathroom.
I don't get up. I don't get up. I may go to the bathroom, but I don't get up. I just lay there and I roll around. And try and go back to sleep.
You have to get up and go to the bathroom.
I get up just to go to the bathroom. I don't get up and wander around aimlessly for a protein bar or anything. I was excited.
Well, does Georgia jump into your bed at night?
No, she can't get up there at her age now.
No. Get her little stairs.
What?
You could get her stairs.
I can.
Yes. And they connect to your bed. Just like a cushiony stairs.
Where do I get stairs for a bed for a dog?
Amazon. Amazon.
This is the reason I was so excited. I know. Look at these life changing solutions. That's why I didn't sleep. My body knew you were going to solve a problem for me. So it laid awake for four hours going, what's that going to be? What's it going to be? What's it going to be? What's it going to be? What's it going to be? Oh, coffee's good. I said this to Tanya last week. You know, I'm open to finding new ways to meet people. And you came in with a great idea. The new trend of breakfast dates on a Saturday morning. I loved it.
I loved it.
There's breakfast dates. There's the Rivet app. But then you came in with the Rivet app. It was an embarrassment of great ideas. She said, try the Rivet app where you go on and you'll meet people. And then America votes on if you're a match with other people on the thing. I'm like, that sounds like something I'm either going to get on or try and host. Now, Susan, you have something else about meeting people?
Yes.
So this is actually a really cool tip. So I've actually discovered this when we were at the iHeartRadio Music Festival. I bumped into an old friend from like 12 years hadn't, you know, communicated, didn't have her number, blah, blah, blah. So we exchanged numbers and you know, when you exchange numbers, you text the person usually. So then you have the other person's contact.
No, I just put my phone up to theirs and he goes, whoa, whoa. Okay. We didn't do the wall wall.
So she texts me and then she goes, let's take a selfie. She's like, I always take a selfie. And then I also text that. So then when you go back, like, a day later, a few days later, and you have this contact in there, instead of it saying like, Hey, this is Jackie. It's like, Hey, this is Jackie. And then there's a selfie of the.
Two of you.
So then you remember like, Oh yes, I met so-and-so then.
Does that download into the contacts?
No, it's just in your text.
But wait, can't you put it into your contacts so that when you pull up that person, you'll see that selfie? You could.
Yes. That's great.
I know.
I think it was so smart.
I have a tip for you. Do the long, long.
Yeah, I do that sometimes.
Oh, it's fascinating.
I don't like the wah-wah.
You don't?
Why?
It's so cool.
I'm scared that my photos are going to get sent.
No, it's not. Don't you trust these tech companies?
Yeah, I trust them all.
All right, coming up.
Paranoid.
What's wrong with your pictures, by the way? What do we need to not be sending?
She's like a naked picture person.
Are you a naked picture person?
Stop that.
I have stuff in my phone that just does not need to be in some stranger's phone.
You don't need to be so paranoid about it. The wah-wah is only doing a contact. That's just because remember that time back in the day she sent everyone all of her photos at the whole iHeartRadio staff?
I do remember that.
No, I didn't send them.
They got uploaded into Dropbox, wah-wah, and then that Dropbox wasn't everybody's Dropbox computer, wah-wah.
That wasn't even a wah-wah, though. That was like you clicked and said send.
But you were trying to put them in there so we would find them.
No, I was not.
You were just wishing it upon us or something.
All right.
Got Dropbox banned, by the way, after that.
You know that?
She got banned from Dropbox. She did.
I remember that.
Our whole show did.
Didn't you have a crush on the IT guy at the time?
Yes.
Drew?
That's what it was.
The founder, Drew?
Andy.
Andy. Oh, Andy, our IT guy.
Yes.
All right, listen. I got Jingle Ball tickets. Everybody wants to go. They're next. Lots to do. Lots going on this Monday, October 19th. Sunny and hot today again. Not quite as hot, but hot. Bella, our intern at USC, she went to Vegas for the first time over the weekend. Congratulations. Congratulations.
What a milestone. You are growing up.
Now, what was the intent for this first trip? What were you guys trying to do?
Honestly, everything. It was like a big senior trip. So a lot of seniors in college had to Vegas for the weekend. So practically every senior from USC was there.
Now, you didn't come and ask for advice. I would have told you a couple of things about your first time in Vegas. One, pace yourself. OK, that's one. Two, don't use those ATMs, the casinos that have a huge fee.
Oh, wait.
Yeah.
Too late for that. They'll get you.
You didn't come in. You didn't come on Friday saying, hey, I'm going to Vegas. Do you have any guidance? That's true. Any worldly, worldly, worldly words?
No.
Well, what happened? So you went and was it good? Was it successful? Were there any tragedies? No.
Well, not for me at least.
I won 50 bucks on roulette though.
Yeah.
Get out.
Don't go back. When you're a winner, quit.
As soon as you win, you do have to cash out.
I knew when to quit. My friends did not. Someone lost like 1500.
What's the hot club right now? Where'd you guys go?
We went to live, uh, fountain.
Yeah.
So I saw, I saw, um, they built that back. That was a lot of fun.
Did you almost get a tattoo?
We, yeah, I wanted to get a tattoo now, but I couldn't.
Why?
Well, so essentially, I wanted a tattoo of my last name in my dad's handwriting. And so I sent him a text over the weekend and was like, hey, can you send me a picture of your, like, Graciano in your handwriting? And he thought it was a scam. He thought I was, like, scamming him for money. And I had to convince him it wasn't.
Because you wanted his signature?
Yeah, I wanted a photo of it.
That's very clever of your dad.
But, like, I wanted to surprise him.
Yeah.
I mean.
The thing is, there are tattoo parlors everywhere. Why was it the right time during this precious, coveted time in Las Vegas to have to get the tattoo? Why then? Why there?
Because I feel like you just do something fun or adventurous in Vegas.
And I feel like that was my halfway. It was like, oh, fun. I'm going to get a tattoo, but I'm going to be intentional with it.
Here's what we in the past have tried to do when we leave Las Vegas. Get home without falling apart the next morning in the car or on the flight.
It's true.
Because Cisney will run some pain on a Sunday morning. Oh, man. Her pain threshold after a Vegas weekend is high.
I'll still be in the club at like 520 and my flight leaves at 8. So I'll just be like, I got to get out of here.
Yeah, next time you go to Vegas, don't pick me. Don't pick Tanya for sure.
For sure, dude.
Well, don't pick either of us for sure. She's the one. She will show you a good time.
We'll plan something.
You're all grown up. There it is. That's it. One of the rites of passage. Vegas. A debut in Vegas. And almost a tattoo of your dad's handwriting.
Isn't it weird?
All right, coming next. The easiest way to get all the guts out of your pumpkin. Meet your quotes of the day. Also, if you're getting your pumpkin this week, this is an easy way to get the stuff out. You know, when you carve a pumpkin. Instead of the spoon when you scoop.
Right.
It's kind of a drag. Use an electric mixer. Put the beaters on in there. Oh, that's genius. Run the mixer on low. That stuff comes right down into a big pie. Take it out.
Done.
I love that.
Yeah, so smart.
I mean, we've been here 22 years, and I just found that. All right, today's quote. Just remember, someone loves all the things you dislike about yourself.
Oh, that's really sweet.
Such a great idea. Actually, if you want to be romantic, write that down and come up with your own version of that and say it to somebody later today.
You get me.
I got you. Yeah, and don't credit me. You take it. Got a Ryan's Roses call after 7 o'clock here. Sissany, first headlines. Kiss FM headlines with Sissany.
Well, power is back on for all SoCal Edison customers whose electricity was turned off due to the red flag warning. All evacuation orders and warnings have been lifted in Malibu as the Bryson fire is up to 74% containment. A Super Lotto Plus ticket was sold at a 7-Eleven store on Magnolia Avenue in Anaheim worth an estimated $ 64 million.
And the Victoria's Secret fashion show returned to L.A. last night for the first time since 2007 with performances from Cat's Eye, Tate McRae, and Megan Thee Stallion.
Ryan's Rose is 740. Paying a bill next. This Rose is basically she was traveling for work. He sent a cropped picture of the dog, a cropped photo. Smoke, smoke, smoke.
Right.
First, Ronnie is out in Huntington Beach. this morning with Free Gas. Good morning, Ronnie. How was your weekend?
Good morning.
It was so good.
How was yours?
Great.
Thank you for checking and asking. Had a lovely weekend, beating the heat. You're out in Huntington Beach, and you've got Free Gas, so let's give it away.
Sure do.
Let me see, because I don't know if he's trying to go... There's some people inside. So let me just wait a second for them to come out really quick. I don't know if they're trying to pay inside. Well, I'll fill the gap here.
I don't know.
You know how they call Long Beach the LBC?
Do they call Huntington Beach HBC?
No.
They don't do that.
That's a great question. It's fine to ask. But the answer is a consensus is no.
No.
I was just curious.
Oh, here he comes right here.
You can just call it Huntington. You don't even say beach.
Yeah. How are you, sir?
Oh, you see our van right here.
My name is Ronnie. I'm with Kiss FM, and we'd love to fill up your gas tank this morning.
That's crazy.
I have Ryan Seacrest on the phone right now.
He wants to talk to you.
What up, Ryan?
How you doing, man?
What's up, buddy?
I've been listening to your show for like ever, dude, but this feels like it's a scam or it's like unreal.
Yeah.
I'm kind of like nervous right now.
That's awesome, bro. Well, thank you for listening all those years. What's your name?
My name is Alpine. Alpine.
My name is Ryan. Great to meet you.
Hey, Ryan.
Dude, man, this is unreal, dude. I see the band out here, man. Thank you so much.
Yeah, for sure. That's Ronnie. He works with us on the morning show. You're on the air. Got Sissy and Tanya here with us.
Hey.
Hey, what's up, everybody?
What's up?
We are going to fill that tank of gas up for you, Alpine. You're on your way.
Gas is expensive as heck right now, so thank you.
That's why we're there. That's the whole reason for Ronnie being there, bro. You got it. Thanks for listening to us, Alpine.
For sure.
Hello.
Ronnie, your work is unparalleled. Thank you.
All right.
I'll talk to you guys later.
Bye, Ronnie. Paying a bill next. 102.7 Kiss FM. Hey, Devin in Agoura Hills. Good morning.
How are you? I'm doing all right. How about yourself?
I'm good, brother. So happy Halloween. And it looks like you have a date on Halloween night. I like it. What's going on? How can I help?
Yes, well, I matched with this girl on Hinge about a week ago, and we've been talking pretty much every day, and we finally decided to go on our first date, you know, this weekend, and then, of course, Halloween weekend, right?
Yeah.
The problem is I can't decide if my idea for the date is a good one. She told me that she goes to Halloween Horror Nights at Universal every year, and, you know, she loves scary movies and is basically obsessed with Halloween. So I thought, why not take her to a haunted house?
Brilliant.
You're right. Thank you. Thank you.
Right.
And I found one, you know.
That's supposed to be really scary.
And I thought it could actually be a fun first date and we'd have something to do. And then we'd have plenty to talk about afterwards. But, you know, then my friend told me a haunted house is a terrible first date because you're basically trapped together in the dark while strangers are screaming at you and all that.
So now I'm wondering if I'm overthinking this. Yeah.
She literally told me, you know, she literally told me that she loves scary stuff.
Yeah.
Right. So I feel like she'd have fun.
Let me give you my feedback, Devin. I appreciate you reaching out. Do not overthink this. Show and carry out confidence in your decision to make this the first date. I like it. She dropped the hint. She told you she loves haunted houses. That's basically saying, hey, Devin, take me to one. So now you've done it. Don't second guess it. And here's why I like the haunted house.
It's an icebreaker. You break the ice. She may grab your arm. You may jump in front of her. I don't know, but it breaks ice. So you got the pregame of the lead up talking about haunted houses and the vulnerability of them. You got the icebreaker during, and then you got the post, you got the postmortem where you're going to have some good laughs about what happened in the haunted house. So for me, this is a great idea with many layers and little pressure, bro.
Thank you. I'd never even thought about that. That's a really great point.
But you know what? It depends on the haunted house.
It doesn't.
It does, because there's some where they can touch you and jump at you and you feel things.
Better, great, good, fine.
I don't know about all that.
She did say she likes all that stuff, so I do feel like it's a good idea. However, don't be a Ryan Seacrest and push her in front of you.
I don't push anyone. I just go behind.
I'm just saying, any haunted house where you have to sign a waiver, I would probably not do for a first date.
Devin, own your decision. Own your decision and let us know what goes. Happy Halloween.
Absolutely. Thank you so much, brother. Have a great day, okay?
You too, buddy. Take care.
Bye-bye. Bye-bye.
I like the vulnerability in it. I like that it gives you an activity as well. I like that it's at night, generally, right? I guess you go out in the day, but at night. All right, it's Kiss FM. Ryan's Rose is coming up and sold out Jingle Ball tickets next. Kiss FM, and it's time for Ryan's Roses. All right, I have photo evidence here. You see it?
Yeah.
So.
Wow, this is interesting because I think Tanya last week did a story about an actor whose naked reflection was in a window. He took a picture, posted it, and then took it down.
Tom Welling.
Tom Welling. Smartsville. Cindy is on the line right now. Same thing happened to her.
Smallville.
I know. Cindy, good morning, and thank you for reaching out to us. So you were traveling for work. He sent you a cropped picture of your dog to basically say, hey, things are normal, but they weren't. What did you find in that picture?
So I was at this conference in San Francisco and I always miss our dog so much. So he sent me this picture of our dog, Molly. And yeah, it was cropped very weird. Like it was not a normal size. And so I did the like revert to original and there like right behind our dog in the TV reflection, I could see a woman sitting on the couch.
And could you make the woman out? Could you recognize the woman? What did she look like? What was she wearing?
She had like a long brown hair and was wearing like a white top. And so I like FaceTimed him immediately. And he was just like, no, it's like I'm totally alone. I don't know what you're talking about. And I was like, look at the photo that you sent me. And he was like, oh, that's so weird. Maybe it's a ghost.
OK, well, first of all, that makes no sense. I'm looking at it now. You sent it to us. Thank you.
Well, I was kind of thinking it could be a ghost, too.
It's not a ghost with brunette hair to shoulder length and a white top, this short sleeve, tucked in with blue jeans. I mean, it's just not.
I mean, it is weird that he cropped the photo to begin with.
So what is she doing? She looks like she's just standing there, right? In the reflection?
Like sitting, sitting, I think, on the couch. Because there are couches that go across from the TV like that.
All right, well, you guys are gamers. I'm looking at the games on the shelf there. Zingo and illustrations, charades. I know, but they got a lot of games on the keyboard. All right, listen, Cindy, we are going to make a call to your husband so we can find out next, okay?
Okay.
This is Kiss. You're welcome. 102.7, Kiss FM. It's time for the call, Ryan's Roses. I mean, he is lying. We know that going in. I'll tell you how we know that.
Why? How?
Well, what is it? What's the story? I'll tell you. Cindy reached out. Her husband sent a photo like, hey, look at our dog. Everything's good at home. The photo was cropped. And then she examines the photo in the reflection of the dark TV screen. There's a woman standing there with brunette hair, brown hair, just below his shoulder length, white t-shirt on clear as day. I can see it.
You see it.
I see it.
I see it.
She asked him about it. And he says, what are you talking about? A ghost?
I mean, come on.
Ghost doesn't dress like that.
It looks kind of ghosty.
No, it's a person. It's clear to me as a person, Cindy. I don't need much more. I just need you to say, Ryan, you have my permission to call and then his name. Go ahead.
You have my permission to call.
Good luck as a last resort public service. Let's see if we can find out what's going on. Who was in your house while you were away on a work trip? Why is he lying about it? Sus.
Hello?
Hi, can I speak to David, please?
Yes.
Hi, David.
My name is Quinn. I'm calling from Sweet Blooms. How are you doing this morning?
I'm sorry. Where did you say you were calling from?
Sweet Blooms. We deliver here locally in surrounding areas, and we're offering a free promotion today. So the way this works, it's a dozen red roses that you can send to anybody that you like.
Oh, wow.
Okay. Hold on. I think I heard something like this on the radio once.
No.
So these are, they're absolutely free. I don't need any info from you. I don't need cash. This is not a subscription. They're truly beautiful arrangements that we do. And we do this promotion about once a month. So is there anybody you want to send free flowers to?
Wait, hold on. You haven't heard?
There's like this thing on the radio where they send roses to guys to see if they're cheating on their wives.
Have you heard about that?
Never.
Is there anybody you'd want to send the flowers to?
I mean, I guess I better play it safe just in case, right? I'll send it to my wife just in case you guys are trying to bust me, right?
Okay.
What's your wife's name?
Cindy.
And what do you want to put on the card for Cindy?
Just put to my angel, love your daughter.
David, your voice is being broadcast on the radio. This is that. Ryan's roses. You did. I agree with you.
Yeah, you're the guy. You're the guy. What's your name?
My name is Ryan.
Yes, Ryan. Yes, Seacrest.
Yes, I knew it.
I'm here with your wife, Cindy, to address something specific.
Hi.
So, Dave, the reason we're calling is she sent me the photo. So I'm looking at this photo. You sent her, well, there was a work trip. You sent a photo from back home. Hey, everything's cool. There's the dog. You cropped the photo. And then in the photo, when I zoom in on the dark TV screen, I see a woman with long brown hair and a white t-shirt in the reflection.
Have you seen this?
Yeah, that was crazy.
Like that, like I, like I've never been like.
A ghost guy before, but like, that was crazy.
I don't think it's a ghost, bro. It's not a ghost.
Yeah, it's really not.
No, like I was home alone. And like, I literally like after that, I was like Googling like, yo, did someone die in our house? Like, And she's got like old timey clothes on too.
No, she doesn't.
Like it's crazy.
No, no, no, she doesn't. No, it's not a ghost. It's not a ghost. I can tell it's not a ghost. So David, just be honest with your wife. Who was over?
No, no one. Look at, we have a ring camera. Like you can go back and check it. Like there was no one there. Like no one, like go check the camera.
I did.
You didn't pay the subscription. And so it didn't record anything.
Hmm. No, I thought it was on auto pay.
David, you're, we, come on, we, please. We're professionals. What happened? Who was there? Why are you lying? Why are you trying to cover it up?
Yeah, just come clean.
I'm just, look, I'm telling you, like, I don't know what that is. Like, I, I'm a believer now. I'm a believer.
Why did you crop the photo to begin with? Why did you even crop it?
Because the dog's face is cute.
Just, like, look at the cute dog's face.
Look at that cute dog.
No, you cropped out this other woman because you didn't know that I could uncroft it.
That is not true. I just was like, hey, this is a cute pup-o, and, like, look at the dog. Like, you know what I mean? Like, why would I give you this giant extra stuff?
Look, guys, I don't know what's happening, but we're going in circles. I don't believe David.
I don't know him.
I don't believe him. I think there's a legit issue here. I can see the woman clear his day. It's not a ghost. Cindy, you need to get to the bottom of it. Thank you very much for reaching out, okay? Thank you. Good luck to you.
Thanks.
Good job, Sisany. He called you out, but good job with Grizzly there.
Yeah, we're just like skirt, skirt, skirt. Calm, cool, and collected over here.
Grizzly, Ryan's Rose is right there.
Kiss FM. On air with Ryan Seacrest.
She will be at our sold-out Jingle Ball 102.7. Kiss FM. You know, we should look up how many songs with the artists that are at Jingle Ball has Ryan Tedder, who's performing at Jingle Ball with OneRepublic, how many has he produced? I bet he's produced some of the artists that are there.
Yeah.
Who wants that assignment in the back room?
He was just walking out. Nobody.
Michaela, can you do that? Do a little Claude. Okay, I got it.
All right.
Ronnie is on the streets of Huntington Beach this morning with free gas.
Ronnie? Good morning.
I had to already come up to this guy right here because he was already filling up. I said, can you cancel it? We'd love to fill up your gas tank. So I'm going to give you Ryan Seacrest. He's on the phone right now. He'd love to speak to you. Ryan Seacrest?
Yes.
You're joking.
It's him.
Hello.
Hey, what's up? It's Ryan. What's your name?
Chris Kanan.
Chris Kanan, Ryan Seacrest on Kiss FM with you. How are you, buddy? I'm good.
I'm good.
Happy Monday, Ryan.
Thank you. I appreciate you being there with us. That's Ronnie. So what we are doing basically is with the gas. Stupid, right? The prices. We're just sending Ronnie out to different places every week to give away free gas. And you're the lucky one right now.
Oh, my gosh.
That's awesome. I appreciate you guys.
Totally, bro. What are you up to this morning?
I am actually heading.
Up to Redondo beach.
I live in San Diego though.
So yeah.
Oh, that's not a small, you definitely need to take a gas then. I do.
I do.
And also my mortgage is a little high, Ryan.
I don't know.
I'm kidding. I'm kidding.
I'm kidding.
We do pay bills. Yes, you are correct. You got the right guy. All right. Listen, Chris Kanan, thank you so much for having us on and good luck with your drive to Redondo today. You take good care.
Okay. All right.
You too.
Thank you.
Okay, bro.
Well, that's cool.
Ronnie, I'm having the best time just listening to you find the people.
We, you see, we've gotten in a good rhythm now. Like people don't really think I'm trying to scam them anymore. Good.
It was just a matter of time, you know?
Yeah, so now I'm happy people are getting the hang of it.
Yeah, nothing's changed about his delivery. He is Ronnie, and he is here to fill your tank. We'll talk to you in a little bit, Ronnie. Chris, kissfm.com slash bills. That's what you got to do to get your bills paid. We'll do it next. Kiss FM, that's where we are. Thanks for streaming. Seacrest with you. Sissany and Tanya, we got the back room. So, yeah, not a great weekend for our NFL teams. The Rams lost at home. To Arizona, they fall to 2-4, and the Chargers got beat. Chiefs.
So what are they?
0-6.
Yeah.
0-6. You know what? We're not proud at this point.
Well, they will not lose next week because it is a bye.
It is a bye week.
You're right.
You can only go up from when you're down.
You know what?
You're right.
Yeah.
My Bulldogs lost to Auburn in an upset. I texted my boys and I said, guys, why is it that I viscerally get, I am upset. Like I'm literally upset. Like I had anything to do with it. Like I have any responsibility to it. But when your team that you are connected to loses, it is a visceral response. I was not thrilled.
But you know what it shows?
What does it show?
It shows that you deeply care.
It shows I have a heart.
And life is about caring. If you didn't care about anything, what would you be doing? You'd just be.
Look at Professor Profound over here. Only a way from up is good or back up or down is up. And then people care. That's what you want. That is Professor Profound.
I mean, maybe it's the artist's way.
I don't know.
The book I'm doing.
I would like the Chargers to have a win eventually. Yeah, it'd be nice.
Oh, the goose egg is not what we're in it for.
It's not.
I posted the Catalina trip. I got to tell you, you get out there on that express and you have a nice day and you can just take your time and explore. It is beautiful. I did the bike ride I was telling you about and caught a fish. I grew up in a place where in the summertime, my dad and I would do a deep sea fish. Wow.
Every five years.
Okay.
So it wasn't a standard.
That's like me with camping.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Every five years.
But we did a fish. Me and my guys. And I caught a marlin, a striped marlin. It's a catch-release program. Whether you reel it in for 25 minutes, it's 189 pounds or something.
Maybe 120.
Your fish? Probably like 20 pounds.
No, no, it was big.
It was big. It took me 25 minutes to reel. It was 150 pounds. It was one. Mark, didn't you see the post? You can't really see the fish itself. I saw the post, too, and you cannot see the fish.
That's the problem.
With catch-and-release, let me tell you about catch-and-release. You get a big one. I had a big one on the line. And I reeled it in for 25 minutes. I was exhausted.
With catch and release, you can still catch like really small fish as well.
This was massive. Almost brought the boat down.
And I.
Couldn't see it because we had to let it go when it got close. So I know it was in there. I know it was down there.
It was like a boot.
No, it was not a boot.
It was fighting.
Because it was taking the line. It was pulling and taking the line.
Okay, I've seen this now.
I don't spend time. I don't spend time with guys. I just don't.
I did.
I know.
Maybe you should more.
Cause I feel like there was something in you that like was through your post, through your carousel.
I did feel like you were invigorated. Like I felt, yeah, I felt the energy.
I'm not the guy that looks forward to hanging out with the guys. I'm not that guy.
Maybe you are that guy.
Maybe I am.
This fish is like 15 inches long.
No, it's a massive fish.
It's a Marlin.
It's a huge Marlin.
It's a huge Marlin. Obviously pictures not to scale. Zoom it out.
It's a video.
Uh, but no, we had an electric skillet. We had a barbecue on the back of this little boat, fishing boat. And we had a time. I mean, it was actually, I may spend more time with dudes.
Who are these guys?
Yeah.
Who are the guys?
My guys.
Yeah.
You see, you keep saying that.
I got guys.
They got names.
Yeah.
That was Ted and Matt.
Ted and Matt.
Ted and Matt.
Trusty Ted.
Mike ride in the morning, make peanut butter sandwiches on our backpacks. I got to tell you, Southern California, our own town in our backyard. You got to explore it. You really do.
All right.
It's coming up. We've got tickets to our Jingle Ball presented by Capital One. That is next. It's kids.
All right.
I still almost have a wreck every time I see one of those Waymos or these Waymo vans. Like that's fascinating to me too. These are the autopilot vehicles. And then what I do is I try and also assess the person who's taken the risk in my mind of being in a car without a person. They look happy. They look fine. They look content. Most of them in the back. I think I might ride in the front.
I'd be the Waymo guy in the front. I've never taken one. It's strange. I've never taken one. I've never had the desire to take one.
Same.
I never had either.
Did you see the new Tesla rocket car that flies?
That's what everybody was talking about this weekend, was this upside-down flying Tesla Roadster.
It is out of Future of the Back, Back to the Future. It is like jet rocket, right? Jet rocket propulsion up, smoke, and then it jumped cars.
Yes, it also jumped cars. The videos that I saw, though, was the ramp one where it literally went up all the way and then it's upside down and it's like suction cupped up there for like three seconds. Then you see it drop and then turn around and then.
So did you get into like the practicality? Is this going to happen in our lifetime or is it going to be safe? Is it going to be cleared, permitted? I mean, will we see these?
Yeah.
Production is expected to happen in 2028. That's in two years. Apparently, it uses technology from SpaceX, and Tesla says that it can go from zero to 60 in less than one second.
What?
Less than one second?
I don't even know why we need that.
Does anybody need to go that fast in one second?
How could you go that fast? I don't think this is going to be permitted on our streets. I mean, we can't even drive. We can't merge, even with the stoplight on an oncoming ramp to the 101.
It's so true.
People can't even get the stoplight green light, red light, green light down.
Right.
And so at what point are you allowed to fly your.
Car over traffic? And you need a pilot's license. You can't just fly.
Do you?
Yes.
What if you run into stuff? Well, I don't know. In a situation, I don't know. It's cool to see, but I do not want certain people I have seen driving flying.
It is interesting that there was nobody in the car too you know they didn't trust it enough to actually put a human being in there to do this all upside.
Down probably just not there yet but what does it take for fuel i don't think rocket fuel is it inexpensive fuel so if it takes jet rocket fuel that's another problem i.
Don't even think about that i thought it was i thought you just plug it in charge it you charge it overnight.
All that steam smoke coming out of those exhaust pipes that launched it does not look like electricity i know Everybody's talking about it, but I don't know if anybody's going to get it.
No. On air with Ryan Seacrest.
Seacrest, Tanya, Ronnie, the backroom, Michaela, Ruby. We got the whole court here. Full court press. Thanks for being with us on a Monday, October 19th. So, Tanya, you have some details on this, but it was a busy weekend.
It was such a busy weekend.
I was living vicariously through all the events that were happening, starting with the 2026 Academy Museum Gala.
That's a big deal.
It was flooded.
Like all the stars were there. It was absolutely crazy. Like for everybody from Hailey Bieber to Kendall Jenner.
However, there was a big dupe. People were duped. What was the dupe?
So there was this photo of Taylor Swift and Kim Kardashian talking, circulating around social media.
And I like wrote a whole report.
Just on this meeting and talking because of all the drama from the Reputation album.
I was duped.
I think this was an AI photo. It did not happen. And I was, because I was like, why aren't outlets picking this up? This is so crazy.
Because they checked their work?
Because it was fake, yeah.
I think you checked your work after you did your report.
I was like, Mark, update.
Let's get to the bottom of the Dancing with the Stars thing here. So Val from DWTS got suspended this week for his, quote, inappropriate social media post.
Yes.
What happened?
So, long story short, last week on Dancing with the Stars, Carrie Ann Inaba is a judge, and she gave a critique to Jenna Johnson, who is Val's wife.
Okay?
In my personal humble opinion, who knows nothing about dance, it was a little annoying of a comment anyway. Carrie Ann gave it to Jenna. A lot of dancers do lifts.
It was weird.
Val, being Jenna's husband... wanted to stand up for her and post it on social media. Basically, I was about to go Will Smith in the ballroom.
Val is married to Jenna Dewan?
Jenna Johnson.
This is where I got confused, too. There's two Jennas.
Yeah, exactly. Jenna Dewan was with Tanning Chater. Tanning Chater. But Jenna Dewan is his actual partner. Correct.
His competitive partner in the ballroom. And Jenna Johnson is his wife.
Is she another dancer?
Yes, she's a professional on the show.
So the two dancers are married and Jenna Dewan, who was at our IR Radio Music Festival.
Correct.
Who's she with?
With Val.
With Val.
She's with Val.
No, no, who's she married to?
Oh, oh, she's engaged to Steve, I believe his last.
Name is Kazzy.
And she was with Channing Tatum.
Correct.
They have a.
Daughter together, but they are no longer together.
But anyways, because of his social media post, he is suspended from this week of dancing in the ballroom.
Jenna Dewan is going to have a new partner this week.
Is it justified, do you think?
Honestly, I.
I don't think, I think Val should be held accountable for posting that because I don't think it was a great post. However, I think suspending him is not fair to his partner. You know, it's happened to the competition and I just think it's not right to her.
So maybe they score accordingly. Like the judges will probably score if something doesn't happen perfectly because she's got a sub.
We shall see.
All right, quickly before we break, Dakota Johnson, Machine Gun Kelly, we're out.
Yeah, they were spotted leaving a late night studio session. They have romance rumors going on. So I was like Hawkeye on that. And then last but not least, the Victoria's Secret fashion show was last night. Barbara Palvin walked just six weeks after giving birth. Natalia Bryant walked Kobe Bryant's daughter. And then Kylie Jenner made a big surprise debut on the runway wearing the fantasy bra.
Does the Victoria's Secret fashion show inspire you to buy their fashion?
Yeah, I really like that $ 50 million bra that Kylie wore.
No one's wearing that kind of underwear. Who's got that in their drawer?
If you're watching the full thing, they do have some ready-to-wear stuff from their pink collection and things like that.
But does it inspire you?
Yeah.
All right.
There you have it. The weekend. Very active. 102.7 Kiss FM. We're paying a bill on the 323 next. 102.7. It is Kiss FM. Wrapping it up for us. So Michaela earlier gave away those Jingle Ball tickets. And I was thinking, you know, with all of the artists, Olivia Rodrigo and all the artists are going to be there. Ryan Tedder is going to perform with One Republic. I wonder how many artist songs that will be performing he's produced.
Yeah, so besides One Republic, it's just Hilary Duff.
He did write with Ray.
During the pandemic, but nothing really came of it. And a lot of these artists are new, so I'm sure he'll work with them soon.
Well, he's done that Tate McRae. He's doing the Tate McRae stuff right now, that new music we got.
Yep.
Looking forward to giving away more tickets tomorrow morning. Sisney, what is the plan? You got an hour. What are you going to do?
Playing the hits, baby.
Playing the hits. All right, we'll talk to you first thing in the morning, kids. Thanks for listening to On Air with Ryan Seacrest. Make sure to subscribe, and we'll talk to you again tomorrow.
