From Hollywood to you.

Thank you for listening to us.

Ryan Seacrest.

Seacrest.

On air, on air, on air with Ryan Seacrest.

It's in L.A. It's Adela on Kiss. What is going on with human beings and why don't we sleep well or enough? I'm with you.

It's a real problem.

I know I didn't sleep well and I know I didn't sleep well because I looked at my score last night. I got a 53.

See?

It's toxic.

It's toxic to look at my score.

Who.

What human being that works your sleeps well?

Tanya, do you?

Yeah, I do.

I'm telling you it's this pregnancy pillow that I've had. It's the best thing I've ever had in my life.

I told you you should try it.

It goes between your legs. No, it's my brain. My brain doesn't stop. My brain runs on a loop. Too many things. I go through lists.

My dreams were intense last night. Mine were listy, too. I was thinking of things I had to do in life. Me, too. I wasn't really sleeping. I was awake the whole night.

What I have done is I have notepads and pens everywhere in the house, including bedside. And I will scribble it down in the middle of the night to stop thinking.

About the list.

Because sometimes I'll think, oh, I've got to do this. So remember to do this when you wake up. But that's not good. So I just write it down and try and put it out of my head. Michaela, are you a good sleeper?

I can be, but I haven't been lately.

Something's going on.

Something's in retro.

I agree. I agree.

What's going on with the moon, the stars?

It was the rain this week. We're just not used to it.

Humans don't sleep well. It used to be something you'd brag about. Ah, slept three hours. I'm still on my game.

No.

Yeah.

Don't want to do that anymore.

Anyway.

Hi, there's some positive news this morning.

Kind of like a musician. Musician is Jason. Cause that's what they do. They wake up in the middle of the.

Night and like sleep though.

They sleep till noon. They do. I, no matter what time I go to sleep, I can't sleep till noon or, you know, on a weekend either.

No.

Mercury goes into retrograde Saturday.

Put your seatbelt on.

Yeah.

Good luck.

That'd be a rocky one.

Here's some good news. Kiss FM is 51 years old. It debuted today back in 1975. That's adorable.

You think they would have waited five more days and done it on 1027?

I think it was a whole FCC thing. They had to go. They had to do it.

Scattered showers this morning. We got that rain, as Cisney said. You'd think that you sleep better with the rain. Highs only around 70 this weekend. Looking kind of perfect. Now, I just want to tell you that you want to be here for something special. At 740. It's a tradition. It is a public service. It is called Ryan's Roses.

Often I'll talk to people out in the wild and they'll say, my kids love it. They'll say, your kids are five and seven. What do they get out of it? Well, I don't know. I haven't thought about that, but they love it. I love it too.

Yeah.

As a public service. So listen to this. I mean, there's a, it's bedbugs, a trail of bedbugs. Bedbugs are, they're there. And she found bedbugs in their bed. And then she found out her best friend also has bedbugs. So she thinks her husband was sharing the bed with the best friend who has bedbugs and brought the bedbugs over to their bed.

Sketch.

That goes down at 740 this morning. To me, I don't even need much.

That's too suspicious. To be a coincidence. I don't think so.

If your best friend has bedbugs, if my best friend had bedbugs, I would think that I would bring the bedbugs into the house.

Do you know what I mean?

Why would you be in your best friend's bed?

Sometimes I sit on her bed. If she's like cleaning her room, when.

I go over there, I don't think dudes, he, the husband is sitting on her bed while she's doing a chore.

I know, but I'm saying, why wouldn't she think that she's the one that brought the bed?

But they do spread.

But I don't think she goes over to sit on her friend's bed.

She would know.

Yeah.

They do spread. Yeah, they're contagious. I mean, they're like a wild rash.

Ew.

Ew.

KSFM, a film day replay.

Rihanna, Ryan Seacrest with you. All right, let's just go around the room. What's on your mind?

Last night, on my mind, I took my bath and I learned that I had the definition for karma all wrong all this time.

I was listening to a book on.

Tape, Sad Guru. Very relaxing.

Wow.

And he said, you know, we have a big mistake. We think karma... Is you, you know, you do an action and it's a scorecard.

Right.

And you put out bad, you get bad back.

You put out good, you get good back. Not true.

That's all wrong.

It's not.

What is it then?

It's not scorecard. It's not keeping score. It means action. The definition of karma is just action.

And you're just supposed to act with intent, but don't think of it as a score that you're going to get the same thing back right away.

Right. Okay.

I understand that.

I was wrong because I used to say I subscribe to karma.

Right.

What you put out, you get immediately back. What you put out, you get right back in exact terms almost.

Every time I bring my shopping cart back, I'm like, that's good karma.

Yeah, you're going to get something back today.

Yeah, yeah.

It's not like that. It's not transactional like that.

Shoot.

Now, Sisney, you have this on your mind, a big dilemma for Halloween.

Yes, you know, my street gets completely blocked off unofficially, but it does get blocked off and it turns into a massive party. And in the past, the Dodgers have been in the playoffs or they've been in the World Series. And I would wheel out our TV and like create like an outdoor living room in the front yard and have the game on. And parents that would be trick or treating with their kids would love it because they can watch a little bit of the game while they're trick or treating.

So this year, I don't have that.

Um, still love you Dodgers, but I'm wondering, should I get a DJ to have in like the front yard?

You need a DJ.

You need candy to give out to kids.

It's for the vibe.

Where do you put a DJ?

Just right there on my front lawn next to Mr. Skelly, 12 foot tall.

Are you competing? Is your street competitive? This sounds like a competition.

This sounds like my friends who want to outdo their other friends for the one-year-old birthday.

And it's not about the birthday. It's about them.

It's not a competition, but my street does go all out.

I mean, there's people that work in the industry, I'm assuming, because they have full productions on their front driveway.

I mean, it looks like a scene out of Jurassic Park.

So you're trying to keep up with the neighbors?

I want to kind of keep up with the neighbors and have a fun... You hear it from down the street, like, what's that music? And then you get down, it's like, oh, it's Halloween, fun DJ music.

And then you keep carrying it.

I'm going to give you a couple of ideas here. Mm-hmm. Why don't you get one of our DJs, like a Kiss DJ to roll out?

I would love that.

All right. So who's available? Tanya, who you got on the list?

I got to reach out.

Who do I got?

DJ Santana.

Who's the guy at the pumpkin patch the other night?

Santana. All right, Santana.

Get Santana out and I'll tell you what else we'll do.

What?

We're going to send Ronnie with the vehicle to get people free gas. Ronnie's going to be on your street giving away free gas. for Halloween to the families.

Yes, I love that. Everybody has candy. Candy and gas and a Kiss DJ, you're going to.

Win the competition.

How funny would that be?

Handing out gas cards and putting them in the kids' trick-or-treat bags.

I'm going to start getting my friends for their birthday parties. Ronnie, could you do my friend's birthday party and do free gas for everybody?

Or just random tickets?

I think he's available.

Okay, so you say yes. Like, I need to do this. I was thinking it's going to be too.

Over the top.

I think it's absurd. Oh, okay. And way over the top. But if your street is like that, and we've got access to our DJs, bring it. Okay, I'm going to do it. 22.7, Kiss FM. I keep hearing about this. So we asked Sisney to get some details.

Have you heard about the.

I mean, it's like black market in and out delivery services for the burgers.

So.

Traditionally, In-N-Out doesn't do a third-party delivery.

No.

They don't let Uber Eats, they don't let DoorDash deliver their food. And I know why. Why? They don't want the integrity of the food to slip.

It's quality control.

It is.

And you know what? I do love them for being that bold. Because, you know, the burger, it's soggy. The fries are soggy. It's not the same experience. It's the same thing with pizza. I mean, you order pizza and you get it delivered. It's not the same thing. It's soggy and it's cold.

Same as sushi.

Anything delivered, it's just not going to be the same.

Slides around and everything. But I guess what people are doing, and Sisney has details on this, they're going on Facebook and they're freelancing in-and-out delivery, Sisney, right? Uh-huh.

Facebook marketplace where you can go and sell old furniture and things that you don't want anymore.

Now people are selling their services online.

And they're charging anywhere from $ 20 to.

$ 50 just for the delivery.

So that's not even including the price you're going to pay for the actual food. But let me just tell you, we go to In-N-Out frequently with our family. It's like a nice treat for the kids. They love it.

That In-N-Out line.

Is 45 minutes minimum.

It doesn't matter what time of day it is.

It will be a 30-minute to 45-minute wait just to get your food delivered. So a busy person that doesn't have the time once they're in and out.

And wants to pay the extra 20, 30 bucks.

I mean, I think the real question is, and think about anything in life, you know, you got the Disneyland fast pass, you get stuff you can pay extra for it. What would, where is that threshold of how much you would pay for convenience for something, for anything? It's like a front of line or the burger, like you're buying convenience.

You're buying time essentially.

It would depend on the situation, I guess.

It would be like if you're stuck at home and you're hosting people over and you're like, I just need to get a bunch of burgers from In-N-Out.

I'm just going to do this this one time.

The thing is, you don't know this third-party person. They could just take the burgers.

And the money.

That's what's happening.

And that has happened, actually. A reporter actually tried this to see how the services was.

And they got robbed.

They sent the money through Zelle, and then the person just went and ghosted them and never showed up with the food. So it's not completely worked out. And of course, In-N-Out is not like... you know, endorsing this. Yeah, they're not endorsing this. They're not saying we can protect the product. No, because this is a third party. This is the reason why they don't do these food delivery services.

I saw one person ordered from Arizona to Mexico 200 bucks for the burger.

Don't they have them in Arizona now? I thought they like.

Arizona to Mexico.

They wanted the third party to drive it to Mexico 200 bucks. Wow. And did they do it?

Yeah.

I don't know if they got it, but they did.

Now, when I go to Sony, where we've got a real fortune set, that Culver City in and out, the parking lot is so small, the line backs out onto Washington and screws up traffic for the whole area.

That's how the one in Van Nuys is.

The Sherman Oaks, Van Nuys Boulevard one, it goes into the neighborhood, like, you know, like to leave the driveways open.

Like, it's crazy how long these lines get.

But I love it because In-N-Out knows how good they are. We will wait.

Yeah.

They know it. We will wait. 2.7 Kiss FM.

We're nine out.

Nine days from Halloween. Honestly, if you want your Jack-O lantern to look good Halloween night, it is too early to carve. I was looking at this, especially.

Here with the weather. That's another key component. Southern California.

They say the sweet spot, and this seems late because I like to enjoy the Jack-O lantern. The sweet spot is October 27th. to carve your pumpkins next Tuesday. Has anybody done it yet?

No, for that reason.

I can't even have the pumpkins out. We had to paint our pumpkins this year so the squirrels won't eat them.

Squirrels love it. They really do.

And poor Max, and he didn't paint his pumpkin completely. And so his was the chosen one.

And it's like destroyed. Stolen by the squirrels.

But then I was like, look, at least you're feeding a squirrel. And he was like, all right, I guess that's cool.

Look at you with your mom lessons. That's so good.

By the way, we carved our pumpkins and had to toss them three days later.

It was too early. Here's a quote to frame up your day. This can really steer you in the right direction. Their rear view mirror is... is for glancing, not staring. Don't obsess about what you cannot redo.

This is hitting me hard.

Take a note.

Move on.

You're on. Kiss.

Raven Linnaeus, Kiss FM, after seven.

Her husband, the wife thinks here in this case, for Ryan's Roses, was in her best friend's bed who had bedbugs and brought the bedbugs back to their house. Cheating. 740.

Well, a powerful Pacific storm dumped heavy rain overnight across Southern California, which remains under flood watches through this afternoon. At least two flight attendants suffered neck and back injuries last night when a United Airlines flight bound from Hawaii to LAX encountered severe turbulence. LA officials unveiled the Vermont Bus Rapid Transit Corridor Project, which will create a dedicated bus lane connecting South LA and Los Feliz via Vermont Avenue.

And the NBA season tipped off last night with the Lakers and.

Clippers both winning their home openers.

The Lakers over Golden State and the Clippers over Sacramento.

22.7 KISS FM.

Just stop everything and get to this with Michaela because it's going to prove a point that people do not know what courtesy is anymore. They don't respect courtesy. their word of commitment and dating is the worst.

It's the worst. I don't want to be negative, but it's the worst.

Everything you just said was negative.

I know.

I don't want to be negative, but I want to be pragmatic. I want to be real. And Michaela, who's thought she was onto something with that. Dating is not blind stage show.

She did.

Right.

Hmm.

And met this guy, Rusty.

Remember we had, she goes down, she gets on stage, she does this game show, whatever, and she meets a guy, picks the guy. She's the picker.

We meet Rusty.

He comes on the air. Remember she told us about Rusty? They hit it off.

Right.

And now he's flaked. He's totally flaked. What happened, Michaela?

So we try to plan two dates and day of, he's canceled both times, but he just said that he's so sick. So I think they do last like seven to ten days cold. So I'm like, it was a Sunday and then a Sunday that he canceled both. So I feel like I have to give him the benefit of the doubt. If we don't hang out this weekend, then I think.

I just got to call it.

Okay.

What are the plans that are set for this weekend?

We're supposed to go to dinner.

I liked him. I thought he was great. We got a chance to have him on the air here.

I liked him. It was great.

I think, yeah, give him the benefit of the doubt. You know, if you are sick, maybe.

Leave a voice note so we can hear your sickness just for a little bit of credibility.

Oh, Sunday.

Yeah.

Why bloody Sunday?

Well, we were supposed to go to this like a flea market and then go grab pizza and then ice cream.

That was our Sunday, but it didn't happen. Because he's sick.

Dating puts on the pounds. That's the other problem.

Oh my gosh, you're so right. That first year, really.

I'm in much better shape when I'm not with somebody.

Loneliness is much more fit.

We just all get a little soft that first year.

Yeah, because that's what you do.

You do pizza and ice cream.

You order ice cream.

And wine.

Lots of drinking, yeah.

So what's better, fit and lonely or not?

Well, for me, I don't know. All right. Given the benefit of the doubt, keep us posted. But dating is the worst sport in L.A.

It's hard.

All right, friends. About to get into this Ryan's Roses.

He brought bedbugs back from another woman, his wife's best friend. Sounds pretty clear to me. Ryan's Roses, the next thing we'll do. First, Ronnie, this morning, Arcadia, your assignments. How are you, buddy?

I'm good.

How are you?

Good.

We have plans for you to give away free gas on Sissanese Street for Halloween. She's going to have a DJ and free gas Halloween night.

Yeah.

We'll explain later.

Oh, Sissanese House is always so fun, so I'm happy to go there.

Okay, good.

Now, break it down.

Arcadia, you're going to surprise people with the prices of gas. We're just showing up. Random act of kindness to give you some free gas. So go ahead, Ronnie.

Yes and there's a lot of vans here so these are big cars that need a lot of gas i see a guy right here and i don't even know what type of car this is it looks like a chrysler van but let me ask him excuse me sir hi my name is ronnie i'm with kiss fm our cars right here we'd love to fill up your gas tank this morning do you want some free gas yes okay i have rain secrets on the phone right now he wants to speak to you here you go.

Uh hello hey what's your name it's ryan Hi, Ryan. My name's Kyle.

Kyle, you're on Kiss FM right now. How are you?

Oh, my God.

I'm good.

I'm just on the way to work.

What do you do for work?

I work at the Del Taco on Foothill.

What is the most popular order right now at your Del Taco?

I mean, most people just get, like, the regular tacos. Yeah.

Do they steal the picante sauce, the salsa, the sauce, the spicy sauce?

It's very popular, yeah.

I mean, I usually put one or two in every bag I give so they don't even have to ask.

Yeah, I got you. Well, listen, on your way to Del Taco, Kyle, that's Ronnie. We're showing up to random gas stations this morning in Arcadia and filling up tanks of gas. So we're going to buy your gas this morning, bro.

Dude, thank you so much.

That's actually so cool. I have nothing in the tank.

My light was on.

I was turning in on the way.

That's crazy.

My pleasure. We got you. We'll hook it up.

Thank you.

Thank you so much, Ryan. Ryan Seacrest.

Kyle, thank you, man, for chatting with me. You have a good day at Del Taco today, okay? Yeah, you too.

Come by.

Foothill.

Foothill Del Taco. Ask for Kyle. He puts salsa in the bag.

Yeah, thank you.

All right, man. Take care.

Hello.

Ronnie, you've won another one over.

I sure have.

I feel like more people are about to come up to me because they see our vans right here. Okay, so there's a lot of people pulling in.

We'll be in Arcadia this morning, free gas. We'll check in later, okay?

Talk to you guys soon.

All right, KISS FM. 102.7 KISS FM.

It's time for Ryan's Roses.

As a last resort, if you cannot get to the bottom of the feeling you have that your spouse, your partner's cheating on you, after you try and discuss it with them, come to us for peace of mind. It's essentially a public service called Ryan's Roses.

Michelle, good morning. It's Ryan Seacrest.

Hey, good morning.

Let's go. It says here, your husband gave you bedbugs. You found out your best friend also had bedbugs. Bedbugs. So you think that your husband spent time in your best friend's bed and brought the bedbugs over. Am I right?

Wow. Yeah.

Yeah, you're right.

How did you find out that your best friend.

Had the bedbugs?

So here's the thing. My husband came home from a business trip in Chicago and was like itching all over saying the mosquitoes in Chicago were really bad. And, you know, I didn't think much of it. But a few days later, our bed was infested. And it was disgusting. And then my friend Chloe posted on Instagram bed bug quarantine day three FML. So at first thought, what a coincidence. But then I realized that, yeah, maybe this isn't a coincidence.

Has there been other signs that you would think that your best friend is hooking up with your husband?

Well, I've seen him kind of like, I don't know, check her out. Before she is very pretty. I didn't think much of it. But again, it's I didn't file it. And he just constantly is asking about her.

That's the other thing.

Did you go to your husband and go head on with this.

You know what I did he's sticking to his story though I mentioned that Chloe had bed bugs and isn't this a coincidence and he's like I'm not surprised bed bugs are everywhere.

What no they're not they're not really everywhere alright uh Yeah, I don't know how he justifies this one.

We'll make the call to your husband next. 102.7, KISS FM.

So we're into the Ryan's Roses call right now. If you just got here, very simple setup. Michelle and Sherman Oaks, we just spoke with her. She's on the line. She says her husband gave them bedbugs. Then she found out her best friend also has bedbugs. She thinks it's too much of a coincidence. She asked her husband about it, and he said, oh, they're everywhere. They're not everywhere. Okay, Michelle, I need you to say, Ryan, you have my permission to call, and then his name. Go ahead.

Ryan, you have my permission to call.

We're going to do it.

Be very quiet. Let's see what we can find out, okay?

Here we go.

Hello?

Hi, can I speak to Steven, please?

Hi, Stephen.

My name is Lola. I'm calling from the Valley Flores. How are you doing this morning?

I'm good.

Great.

You know, we actually deliver here locally and surrounding areas and we're offering a free promotion. That's why I'm calling. It's a free dozen red roses that you can send to anybody that you'd like. I don't need cash or credit card info or anything like that.

They're free.

I think you might have the wrong number.

I don't know. No, no, no, no, no.

They're beautiful. It's just a dozen red roses. We do this promotion about once a month. And so you've been selected. You can send these to anybody and we can have them out by lunchtime today.

Oh, okay.

Wow.

Seriously.

Okay. Yes.

Sounds cool.

Okay.

And what's the name of the person you want to send to?

Yeah, you can send them to Michelle.

Wonderful.

And what do you want to put on the card for Michelle?

Um, just write to my love bug. It's a, it's like an inside joke. She'll get it.

Okay.

To my love bug.

Gotcha.

Well, Steven, your voice is being broadcast on the radio and I've got your love bug, Michelle on the phone. Interesting. Use the love bug as your word in the note, because we're calling about the bed bugs that you have at home. Does that sound familiar?

Yeah. How do you know about the bed bugs?

Because your wife thinks that you're cheating on her with her best friend who also has bed bugs.

Is that the case?

Are you sleeping with Chloe?

What?

Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.

Wait.

Babe, why are we on the radio? Is that a serious question?

I'm confused.

I'm sorry.

You pick up bedbugs the same time Chloe gets them?

No way.

Babe, I just got back from Chicago.

I mean, have you been to Chloe's house? Yes, briefly.

Why?

I knew it.

I knew it.

So how did you get bedbugs if you went to Chloe's house to bring them back over?

Look, I forgot. Chloe bought a treadmill. She asked me to help carry it inside. That's it. I grabbed a side box. I walked it in that room off of her kitchen. I was there for like 10 minutes, but I don't know. Maybe that's how we both got them. I mean, maybe they were on the box. They're everywhere.

Your cadence and your pacing sounds guilty. Are you having an affair? Did you get the bed bugs from the bed?

No.

Look, I totally forgot about it.

Look, this is.

No.

No.

Absolutely not.

No, I think you're lying. I think you have been sleeping there and brought the bed bugs.

Home on your clothes. All right.

You know what?

This is getting out of hand. All right. I got to go. I don't want to be on the radio, but we should talk. I'll be home at like seven tonight.

Michelle, why don't you talk to your friend again?

Yeah.

I'm going to go see Chloe right now and see what is going on.

I'm with you. Go.

Look, I'm not cheating.

I know.

I'm not. Give me a break.

I'm not a speech expert, but that's not.

That's guilty. Thank you very much for reaching out. Good luck, Michelle.

I think the guy's cheating. I think I hear it clearly. I've heard enough of these to know. That cadence, that hesitation. Mm-hmm.

In the city, number two in America for bed bugs, but they're not everywhere.

They're number two. Wait, Los Angeles overall?

Yeah.

Why?

Well, it's a problem.

I blame their neighbor. Best friend.

Kiss FM.

That's Ryan's Roses.

On air. On air with Ryan Seacrest.

Kiss FM. Ryan Seacrest, this is Netanya. Good morning, Sabrina. Thank you for listening to us. All right, let's jump into.

This, Sabrina.

Yeah.

The guy you're seeing keeps saying he's busy and he can't hang out. What's he telling you and why?

Yeah, thanks.

Okay.

There's a guy, so I've been interested in him for a while and like we've hung out a few times with mutual friends. And one thing I know is that he really is into basketball. So when I ended up with this, like the extra ticket tomorrow to Lakers Clippers game, I immediately thought I'd ask him to come with me.

So I texted him Ryan and I said like, Hey, I have an extra ticket to the game tomorrow night. Do you want to come? And he replied, sounds like fun, but I'll have to pass. So, yeah.

Not like I'm busy, but like, or he had plans.

Right.

And I know he likes basketball, right? Like, so I figured he'd jump at the chance to go to that game, especially like with.

A free ticket.

Lakers Clippers, right? A crypto.

I know.

So like, yeah, I guess I'm in my head. You know, if he's turning that down, does he mean he doesn't want to hang out with me?

I got a problem with this. I got a problem with this guy's choice of words.

You don't use the word pass in a romantic encounter or communication.

Or ever, really.

Pass.

Well, pass is a business term. We have to pass.

We're going to pass on this. We can't get this done. We're going to pass. I don't like it at all. So if he thinks that it's okay to communicate with the word pass in a romantic exchange, he's not seeing this right. And I think that, yeah, it shows disinterest. I don't know that I give him another shot to be honest with you.

Same.

I love how clear you are because I've just been thinking about it like nonstop and like reading into it. But I essentially wanted to know like, yeah, if you think this is a sign, he's not interested and I should just move on.

Someone who is a thoughtful person.

Needs to respond with a little bit of appreciation for what the offer is. I mean, that's a real invitation to a real game with our two local teams. To just say pass bores me. It bores me.

But also, they always say, like, if they leave you confused, that's your answer. Like, they're either clear that they like you or they leave you confused, which is a no.

And then they don't.

Yeah, that's a good point.

So let's be clear on this. Don't give them another shot.

Okay. Okay.

I won't. Like with all of us, when we type a text to somebody that you want to hang out with or date, you got to read it.

You got to look back at the word choice.

Yeah.

Just send words like that. They're, it's a bit rude to.

Be honest with you. When somebody sends an invitation. that thinks of you as the first person to invite to something like that. You don't say pass, whether it's a friend or a romantic.

Even like unfortunately pass.

It's so bad.

I'm so bummed. I have to work.

Right.

I wish I could.

Oh my gosh, that's amazing.

I'm so sorry I have a conflict.

Thank you so much for thinking of me.

I'm committed.

Committed sounds a little professional.

Also, who are you committed to?

I'm committed to my job.

Number 2.7, Kiss FM.

With the price of gas insane and they're not going anywhere, not going down, Ronnie's been out in Southern California for weeks now giving away free gas.

He's in Arcadia this morning. Let me grab him now. Ronnie, good morning in Arcadia once again. Free gas.

What you got?

Okay, there's a little lady right here. Excuse me, ma'am. Hi, my name is Ronnie. I'm with Kiss FM. We would love to fill up your gas tank today.

Do you want free gas?

Okay.

All right.

I'll see you later.

Oh, no.

Yeah, she doesn't want no free cash.

She doesn't want any down, no free cash.

I know.

She was really nice. Okay, hold on.

There's a lot of people here. So let me walk over to this lady over here.

What do you mean?

Don't call her little lady.

Hold on.

Little lady.

Yeah, that might have thrown her off.

Wait, but I'm like, oh, because she's smaller than me.

Okay, there's a little lady right here. Don't call me little Ryan.

Yeah, little Ryan.

Good morning, ma'am. My name is Ronnie. I work with Kiss FM. We'd love to fill up your gas tank this morning. Do you want free gas? Are you kidding?

Yes.

Well, I'm not kidding. I'm serious. I'm serious. But I have Ryan Seacrest on the phone. He wants to speak with you.

Good morning.

Good morning.

Who's this? Hi, I'm Holly. Hey, Hope.

Ryan Seacrest, Disney Tanya on Kiss FM.

Hi, Hope.

Hi.

I listen to you guys. Good morning.

Thank you. With a name like Hope, tell me about your day. Do you have to live up to it?

Yeah.

Well, I'm just about to go visit my brother. He had a surgery yesterday, but thankfully doing well. So I'm going to go have breakfast with him and see how he's doing.

Oh, that's great. I hope he's recovering well.

Yeah, he is.

Thank you.

Thanks for the gas.

How awesome is that?

We're going to fill your tank up on your way to see your bro for breakfast.

That's Ronnie. He'll pump the whole thing up. What are you driving? What are you rolling in?

I have an Audi A8.

Okay.

Well, the tank will be full.

Thank you so much.

That's awesome.

You guys have a wonderful day. You just made mine.

Well, great. That's very nice to hear. Thank you for listening to us. We really appreciate that.

Yeah, sure.

Thank you.

Bye.

Okay, bye. Hey, thanks so much.

No problem.

Yay!

It's so nice to meet you.

Hey, you guys.

There's something I really love about the unexpected moment of this. You know, when you are walking up to the person and they don't quite know why you're approaching them and then it becomes this good feeling for everybody and you fill up the tank. So Ronnie, thank you.

Thank you guys. I'll talk to you soon.

Bye.

Bye.

Bye.

The only person that said no to Ronnie in a long time, the little lady.

Yeah.

She's going to regret that. He's the nicest guy ever.

She's going to regret it.

Right.

Thank you.

Oh, we made it work.

We made it work.

We'll see it.

I mean, it's a welcome gift to our state of California. Thank you for listening.

You're very welcome.

Oh, we love you.

And what do you love about them?

They keep you on your toes.

I like it. Kate. On air.

On air with Ryan Seacrest.

So one of the shows I'm watching is this Matthew McConaughey where he plays himself with his brother or not brother called Brothers, Woody Harrelson.

Right.

It's based on a true rumor.

It's based on a true rumor.

Exactly. It's very funny. It's a nice light watch. And they kind of make fun of themselves actually in reality. of being Matthew McConaughey and being Woody Harrelson. Woody Harrelson's the most laid back dude I've ever seen. That guy is laid back. So there's a story going around where Matthew was talking about on a podcast recently that he once went in the middle of nowhere and start to read all the bad reviews critics had about him or his movies.

Why did he do it, Tanya?

He took 20 years of these reviews and put them in this thick book and he spent two days.

He said he read every one. It was hard. But here's what he figured out. There's two kinds of critics, okay?

The first kind, he said, you could tell from the very first sentence that they had it out for him. He said it didn't matter if they saw the movie. They just don't like him. But the second kind, he said, this person's got a point. Those were the ones writing constructively about what he did wrong and he could learn from them. And I love this because I feel like we either ignore criticism or we take every single bit of it personally. And I feel like he found the middle ground where he's able to see which one it was and then be like, OK, I can constructively learn from this criticism.

And I feel like do either of you do that?

Well, that's my favorite kind.

Yeah.

Hold on.

First of all, Sisney, I don't think you like criticism.

No, I love, I want to be produced and helped and told what to do right if I did something wrong.

100%, when it comes to my career, at work.

This is his work.

No, but these are critics. These are just people on social media.

I know, but this is like about his craft and his job. So somebody said to me, like, oh, you're saying it a certain way or you have a crutch where you say this word all the time.

You don't mind that?

I don't mind that.

I want to continue to be a student and improve.

Yeah, I'm with you at work because we'll get these reports from management that say, people like you, people don't like you. Okay, fine. If they don't like us, what do they not like?

What do they not like?

Yeah, let's fix that. However, I will tell you, as a kid, I didn't like criticism. As an adult, you want to do things right in your job. I get it. The thing is with criticism, here's what I will leave you with. With criticism, consider the source. Does the source have credibility?

Yes.

If the source has cred, then you listen to it. You don't let them be your judge, but you take it in and you don't react immediately and you digest it.

If they don't have cred, blow it off.

But here's the problem, I think, with social media is that everybody is now a critic.

Yeah, but they don't have cred.

But how do you know if they have cred or not?

They're just a voice on the internet. You don't give them cred. They haven't earned the cred.

Right.

They don't know you.

And most of the comments on social media are trying to pick you apart.

No, but not even about like when I go on social media, if I see critiques on like a show or something like my best friend, Becca didn't even want to watch the Victoria's Secret fashion show because she saw all this stuff.

Online about it. And I was like, no, you should watch it. It was actually really well done. And she was like, you know what?

You're right.

I'm going to stop listening to all this stuff online.

She needs to take pause, step back and consider the sources. Don't take criticism from someone you wouldn't take advice from. I think that's the thought. One Republic performing at our Jingle Ball. I'll present my Capital One there, Kiss FM. All right, we're going to bounce. Sisney's got you for an hour. Tomorrow, we are back with more sold-out Jingle Ball tickets.
