Bloomberg Audio Studios, podcasts, radio, news. The Stock Movers Report, your roundup of companies making moves in the stock market, harnessing the power of Bloomberg data.

I'm Carol Messer, along with Nora Melinda. Let's get to some stocks on the move on this Monday. With us is Carmen Reinecke, Bloomberg News equities reporter and deputy team leader for U.S. equities, joining us with stock movers. Let's start with a couple of earnings reports after the close.

Yeah, so we're seeing a few companies slip after reporting quarterly earnings. The first one I'm looking at is Crown Holdings. So this is ticker CCK, and shares are down about 4.25% right now after hours. This is a packaging company, so what happened is its fourth quarter adjusted earnings Her share forecast was a little bit short of the average estimate.

That's really what people are looking for, right? What you're projecting into the future. Also noting here, Ball Corp, which is a peer stock, is also down about 1.5% in extended trading. So we'll keep watching there what's going on with Crown Holdings. Another mover after hours on earnings is Steel Dynamics. This is ticker STLD. So this stock is down about 7% right now. It also has an adjusted earnings miss. But this was reported adjusted EBITDA in the quarter for Steel Dynamics. And I was actually looking, I can't find it exactly, but U.S. Steel, there was another steel company that reported this week that did well because of higher prices. I'm wondering if there is an impact here or not. So that is Steel Dynamics, STLD.

So I'm looking at U.S.

Steel in the aftermarket and I'm just pulling it up and nope.

Wait, U.S.

Steel? I thought it was U.S. Steel. It was earlier in the week, although.

As we, like, all look for this one.

Well, I guess it was last week because today is Monday, actually.

I think about it. As it goes, as it goes.

Anyway.

But, you know, Steel Dynamics is up about 45% so far this year.

Yeah, it's been on quite a run.

So it could just be a little buy the rumor, sell the news that we're seeing after earnings here as well.

Yeah, we've seen a lot in terms of the commodity space, some really interesting things, right? Going back to kind of basics, it feels like, as there is a grab for, you know, changing trade dynamics, geopolitics, and people building out their domestic or trying to, right, their domestic supply chains. All right, let's go to a crypto name.

Yeah, so a little crypto name popping in after hours. This is Bitdeer, ticker B-T-D-R. The stock is up about 5.6% off the session highs. It's pared a little bit. But what happened here was the company put out sort of a preliminary update here. Wait, I just lost it.

Yeah.

Saying that their AI cloud revenue backlog is now 2.9 billion. And so I was searching for a figure that was, you know, what they had said before. I couldn't find one, but in the last quarter, I think they reported about 14 million in AI cloud revenue. So this is a very significant backlog for a company of this size, sort of a crypto miner now turned AI cloud provider. So looking at their revenue backlog there.

Yeah.

And it's only about $ 2. 1 billion in market cap. So to your point about having that backlog versus the market cap is really interesting.

But we know the demand for compute is so high. And so this is kind of a group of companies that have jumped in to try to meet some of the demands there. And so interesting to see Bitdeer doing well on this kind of news.

And I just want to clarify, I mean, U.S. Steel is not public. It's owned by Nippon Steel.

Right.

I'm not quite sure.

I clearly misspoke.

No, that's okay. I'm like, wait a minute.

So I'm just trying to think, it was at Cleveland Cliffs that you're thinking?

That's totally, it was totally Cleveland Cliffs.

Yeah, they reported their quarter profit, the top down list estimate, steel prices rising. So I think that was another one that was out today. So that's okay. You know, we're like lost in AI world, but you got to need all this like basic material stuff.
