I did not realize that like Pokemon cards are unpurchasable. Like, like no one explained this to me because, because of course, why, you know, I mean, I don't have any occasion to buy them. So like, I go to the supermarket and I go up to that machine, which I'm assuming like you could just scroll through and pick some Pokemon cards.

It's like, everything just says sold out. It's like, they should just put a giant thing that says everything is sold out because they don't, they list individual items that each one says sold out. So you can scroll as long as you want. There's nothing there. right? Okay. See, this is the trick with those machines.

This is why it says no loitering. Basically they, they reset every 30 to one hour. Okay. You stand and machine or to the side. Cause there's a camera. And then like when it hits, so people get the timings down and they show up like every, like two minutes after the hour, every hour, and then they just buy a drop and then they'll buy it all.

And then, It only drops so many, and then it resets, and you've got to wait again. And that's where people start fighting because someone will come up and tap the machine and then ruin the whole thing. See? That was my confusion because Casey just said he went up to a machine and didn't say anything about getting in a fist fight.

So I'm like, what did he do? Because I was at the wrong time. I was not in the time slot where anything was going to drop, so I was fine. I didn't get accosted. And also, look at, did Casey come home with any cards? I don't think so. So there you go. They were probably watching him from the milk aisle or something.

They're like, look at this dummy. They're probably like, hey, that's Casey. That guy was making fun of trash about his Pokemon cards. I got cards for him. Yeah. What a hypocrite. Now he's off buying cards. Check this out. Check this out. Okay, I'm ready. I'm ready. So these things just dropped. It's the 30th anniversary Pokemon set.

Oh, dang. Damn, son. I got four more coming in the mail. Okay, so Casey, that's why you can't get one. Just in case you're wondering. I know they're all behind trash. It is in the photo frame. That's where they all are. Trash, when are you going to get a... How much longer will it take before that entire wall you have to clear out everything and you just stack Pokemon card boxes from ceiling to floor?

Oh, I'm at that point. I'm already trying to figure out what I'm doing next because... I'm out of room. I got like a whole box of like cards right here. There's like 30 boxes in there. I don't even know. I don't know. He's going to snap those. Like the graded display case. It says like 8.7 at the top.

Oh, the PSA. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Mm. Also, shout out... Big Z, she ordered me donuts this morning. No buckwheat shots today. Let me go get them. Okay, okay. I went and got some of those Krispy Kremes and they were pretty tasty. The Pokemon ones, they were pretty good. Yeah. I do feel... Go ahead, Casey.

I was going to say, they're super... I mean, there is not a single actual real ingredient in these donuts. Right. I mean, they are a single polymer created by some magic of chemistry, but they're pretty tasty. I do have to say Krispy Kreme for the value. These are your fancy West LA donuts. Yeah. Made right.

I love how you just said for the value, TJ. I never want to be buying donuts. Like you're talking about the difference between like 50 cents versus like a dollar 25 a donut. And you're like, it's for the value. We bought crispy creams that are made from space age technology and polymers and you know, molecules one removed from Lego plastic.

They're still permanent underclass pal. Like we're all going to be buying crispy cream donut soon. I have is dedicated to tokens besides my crispy cream budget. Okay. So it makes a huge, huge difference okay i don't want to get left behind here yeah i have my kids trump account crispy creams tokens like that's it that's all i have for my budget mr michael dell's putting money in in those accounts straight transferred that into my krispy cream budget obviously By Trump savings account, you mean donut savings account?

My donut savings account, exactly. Mm-hmm. Have you ever deployed to production and everything is green and awesome? But when you go to the website, oh my gosh, it's a 500? Well, don't worry, because linear has your back. See, when that 500 hits, your error reporting can create a linear ticket, which will kick off a linear loop.

So, honestly... Why spend 30, 40, 50 minutes of your time searching around with these production bugs when you can get automated pull requests to get you started with the correct fix? And just like that, a pull request. Issue is created and patch received, error fixed, and production is all good now.

So check out Linear today and actually save real time. The ad is the Linear-a-gen. So for those that don't know, we do have a couple things we have to do today, and I am pretty dang excited about today, okay? You said have to do. That doesn't sound excited. That sounds like you're dreading it. I talk about that with my kids.

Get to do. Can't wait to do. We get to do homeschool today. But sometimes have you ever said something along the lines of like, I have to do this. Not because you are like, I am forced to, but because all of your desire and the construct of free will and society in you are forcing you down this path.

Kind of like Dante watching the people hopelessly walk into hell to their appropriate ring because they don't even have a choice in it. Their own desires and everything bring them to where they are. For us, we are being brought... We are being brought forth to the greatest blocker... This year, brought to you by none other than Casey Miratori.

Legendary blocker, by the way. Legendary blocker, Casey Miratori. Today, we actually have a blocker, and it is about this right here. So, Casey, this is an Opus 5.5 built Minecraft. Okay, I know what this is about. So I will try to set the stage here. And this is really, it's entirely up to you guys.

You guys are going to have to explain it because I don't know. You guys were like, okay, we're going to do, like, you know, we're going to make games. We're going to make vibe-coded games, and then you're going to play them and see what you think, right? Yeah. But there's been all this traffic on the Discord from Trash where he's like, none of it's working.

It's not fun or it's bad or whatever. Like, he's saying all this stuff, and I'm like... I thought the point was you just put in the prompt, like, you know, make me, you know, Minecraft, but better. And then it makes it for you. Right. So I'm like, what is the problem? This particular I picked this tweet at random because just the latest one that I saw of someone saying that they just typed in make Minecraft or whatever.

And so what's going on? Like, why? What's the problem? Is it skillish? Did you guys just not know how to use AI? Like, what's the problem here, guys? I don't know. That's a good question. I do want to at least draw off that this does look really good. Like, just this presentation, I understand why people get AI psychosis.

Like, looking at this presentation, this looks really creamy. You have AI psychosis. What do you mean? Why people have it? I think I have very realistic AI expectations here, TJ. Okay. Everyone else has AI psychosis. Prime has AI realistic take. I do not have it. I understand now. Anyways, TJ, how's that language you're coming up with?

No, anyway, sorry, keep going. I say I have psychosis. I'm agreeing with me. I will say this. For these demos, you notice it's only like five to ten seconds. I would say that if I wanted to mimic a game that existed already and I say Minecraft, I'd also think there's probably a lot of open source stuff it could probably take from too.

I could probably arrive at this demo fairly easily. I bet you, you know, it's not like there's only one functional part of this demo, which is simply some blocks on and something like two seconds. I bet you beyond that, it just doesn't fucking work at all. Like if I had to guess, that's my guess. But like to make like very aesthetic looking things from like a glance, I think that's fairly easy to do.

But the functional part is where it kind of falls apart. If that makes sense. I don't know if TJP had that same experience with like, Yeah, I would say the other thing is trash. You touched on it, but we should just expand a little more. There's already a million open source Minecraft voxel game engine projects that are in the training data that are like, cool, I made Minecraft, but race racing.

And you're like, oh, okay, so... For all we know, the implementation could be download the GitHub repo, open Minecraft, you know, and then put this. So I would say for certain like genres of games, especially like, I don't know, the most popular game of all time. Like there's a decent chance that it's going to be able to pull off some really nice looking like demo stuff there.

As Trash is saying. you sometimes then find very difficult, like, why is it that crafting can't work or, like, as soon as I enter this biome, it crashes. You know, there's just, like, stuff that happens, like, in post-after this. But I would guess that happens less on the Minecraft ones just because of the, like, vast amount of times where we've already done this.

We've built this one. People have, like, entire YouTube series of let's build Minecraft from scratch and see or something. You know, it's like it's not... Uh, it's not unreasonable to have this. I mean, also, it's kind of like, I don't know, like Minecraft is awesome. I like the game, but there's also like, it's a, it's a voxel game where a bunch of stuff works easily because it all fits in blocks.

Right. Like actually easier to write than like some other, um, some other versions, the genius of notch, right. As he figured out a really smart game. Yeah. Okay. Gotcha. Uh, I also want to throw out there, uh, yeah. What Trash said, which is the hardest part of everything, is that even if you could, say, generate any game as beautiful as the game we were just looking at, which is the thing that I find to be the hardest part about game development, is making it fun.

Yeah, like making a good game that you actually want. Like, it's really easy to take a game that has been worked on by literally tens of thousands of people for the last 20 years and be like, look, it's a fun game. Yeah, yeah, that's that's true. Very true and very obvious. But like coming up with your own idea and then making it fun is so hard.

It's like astronomically hard. I would say like, you know, it's impressive how many people these days can take great ideas and turn them into bad ones. Like rings of power. Am I right? Chat. Anybody out there? I refuse to watch that show. It's like Amazon has the reverse power. They take the most popular things and figure out how to make everyone universally hate it.

So, yes, it's called the inverse Midas touch or the Kramer touch. yeah anyway so there you go that's what's going on it's it's just really cool because nothing gets you up dudes more than showing something off on twitter especially during model release time so due to the fact that 5 5 opus 5 5 just got released grok 4 7 just got released uh what is it soul 6 all these so now you have this thing where everyone's rushes to get out example game And then a bunch of people who've had access to the model early all come out with even more prepared demos.

And it's just visual porn for the next, you know, game demo porn for the next week and a half. And that's our life. It's perpetual. Okay. That's like the new benchmark, right? Everyone's just like, look, I put the same prop. This is the same game side by side. Like my whole timeline is literally that.

Which kind of ruined it for me. And I'm like, I don't want to make a game anymore. Trash actually didn't prepare one for today. He doesn't have anything. I think the big thing that really what this is showing is that models are getting really, really good at remembering what they have already stolen from the internet.

To me, this is a really excellent qualifier for how good it is at recalling things that already exist. Which we should say, by the way, is pretty valuable for regular programming tasks. Because it turns out, I haven't worked on a lot of novel problems in my career. Like I actually don't like if like they, if they, them getting better at this is actually good for us.

It shouldn't be like, Oh, that sucks. If they get like perfect recall on every best implementation of an algorithm ever, or every best practice for how to do pagination for complicated cross joins in a database or something, that's actually good. Like it's actually helpful because then they're going to pull back the best answer instead of a garbage tier one.

I literally say that every time I'm at work, we have a problem. And I'm like, well, we can't be the first ones that have this problem. Go look on the internet. Like someone saw this before. And like, like pre-AI, we would just go stack overflow or some forums. Now we can just. RIP. Too soon. RIP stack overflow.

Is it like, is it gone gone? Like for real? It's down to like, I think it's down to like 10 questions are asked a day. I think it's still there. It's not like the site is down. Okay. I thought they took it down because there's just nothing happening there. They just finally gave up. They were just like, you know what?

Pack it up, boys. It's not even worth having it up anymore. How much is this yearly domain? It's not worth it. Oh, I'm sure they're running off a $5 VPS at this point. They scaled down. Is it too soon to make a stack underflow joke? Or did we already do that? I don't think I've ever heard one. If that's not already a site, we need to buy that domain.

It's definitely already purchased. It has to be. You would think. What one would think now, wouldn't they? All right. Well, that was the side topic, which by the way, that got me so juiced. Cause I was so curious what Casey actually had to say about it. So we'll move this one into done. Good job, everybody.

I think we all did a great job here. And so now we got to go to some digging games. Now I do want to be honest here. I think that we're going to have a lot of disappointment, except from TJ. I'm sure TJ has an excellent one. But I can tell you this much. I have not put in the work that was needed to even get my not very good.

Okay, but last time you showed a game where the rain was going up and down in a sine wave. So anything, like even if you just showed something where the rain just went down, that would be a big improvement. You would win most improved for me, certainly, at that point. Well, thank you. Well, Casey, the nice part is you are the judge.

So I do think that what you need to judge, obviously, is not necessarily how complete the games are. Great point. point yeah that's true how how fun could they be like if if we actually sat down and took a lot of effort and and you and you went into it and you know a power-ups whatever are added to the game to make it more you know convincing but it's what has the In the rough, that's mostly rough.

Can I just say, Prime, I feel like this feels like leading the jury or leading the witnesses, whatever it's called. Hey, well, what we really want to judge on is the potential of the game, not what's there. I don't think that's fair. TJ, you're absolutely right that this is leading the witness. But I would like to say I'm both judge, jury, and executioner.

And so I don't care. Overruled. I feel like this is – so you're saying this is like little Jimmy who is not – he has not excelled in school. He's got his finger in his nose. We're like sitting with the teacher at parent-teacher conference. Right. and and it's like but he has potential that's what you're looking for like like he could go on to bigger things i know i'm thinks of himself more as like a goodwill hunting style character oh so which one is the janitor that's gonna solve equation right that's prime it's like he's writing the equation on the board and like he could have an illustrious career in mathematics but like he's been busy this week Unfortunately, I was actually writing the equations on the board, but then I had janitorial service to do.

So I actually couldn't follow through. You know, it's like you can only do so much. You had to go get a girl's number at a restaurant. I can't remember what happens to that. He's at a bar. He's like, I got a number. He says, like, I got a number. I do remember him saying that. I got a number. How do you like them apples?

I got a number. Something like that. Yeah. That's Boston. Those are the Boston accents you guys like. That whole movie is Boston accents. Did he say it was a Boston accent? But it's a bunch of facking. You know, there's a lot of facking going on. It was very hard to understand what was going on there.

Yeah. Anyway, okay. So how am I supposed to judge these games? Are you guys going to show me some demos here? Well, I think Trash probably needs to whisper us inside of our Discord where to go for the URLs just so we don't get absolutely bombarded by chat. And then I will change the scene and bring it up, and we can all bring it up.

So I have things I need to say before. I love that. That's a great start. I see TJ. I'm not the only one. TJ, by the way, you're also allowed to have a preamble. No, no. But the funny thing is, is I've been working hard for like two weeks. Okay. But this is what I, this is all I have to show. I pivoted yesterday.

So I'm going to show you a number of things. Let me show you my original ideas. Okay, great. I love this. Okay. I like this. This is good. And then we're going to show you what I pivoted to last night. Okay. And then what has just deployed like five minutes ago. So we'll see if that works. And then I actually have a game that I'm going to launch today that I think everyone's going to enjoy.

Especially you, Prime. Based on this game you've been playing for a long, long, long, long, long, long. But this is not a pivot? This one's not the pivot. Okay. This is my ADD making a bunch of random things at this point. Okay. Okay, so here's the first one. Yeah, let's walk through specifically, because that will help me, Trash.

So the first one I'm going to share was supposed to be multiplayer for all of us. Okay. I tested it for the first time last night with some friends. And boy, oh boy, that thing was lag city. I will say, Casey. There's no way you all are going to be able to play together. That's another one where a game looks good for multiplayer.

I thought Cloudflare worked out of the box. I don't know. So something happened with Cloudflare. I was using PartyKit and things just went awry. We were trying to play and it was just not good. So this is the first thing I sent you. I was trying to make like a, I was trying to be nostalgic. Remember like being in computer lab in school, you got like a flash game website.

You can kind of just pick random games just to kind of kill time in class. So I was gonna make something like that. So I sent it in the discord. So we can't play multiplayer because I tried to do that. It's just too laggy. It does work, by the way. It's just too laggy. I even had a room code, and it wouldn't even show it on the page because I didn't want other people to join.

It turns out we just can't even play. So that's fine. That's fine. Awesome. I have all these random games here. So it started off with like digging, and then I was like digging, and I was like, well, I don't know. That's kind of boring. So like in the spirit of digging, I had something like a backyard pool where you can kind of just – Wait, can we pause, Tresh?

You made us build digging games, and then you decided it was too boring. No, well – Nope. I have a digging game. It's just not on this platform. I have lots to show. Dude, okay. That is how Minecraft got started, guys. Okay? So don't knock it. Like, you might... Trash might just have, like, accidentally handed you the keys to the next $2 billion buyout from Microsoft.

True. Yeah. I'm just showing you how my brain has evolved over the past two weeks. Okay. So I started off with like a really simple sandbox. I was like, well, sandbox is kind of boring. So I was like, okay, what about like water? So you can go in here, you shake it. You can throw. How are you lowering the, how are you lowering the bucket?

Yeah, how are you doing this? You push them up. You just click with the mouse. That's it. That does not happen on my machine. If I click the mouse, nothing happens on my machine. It does not happen on my machine either. You have to start playing in the top left. Start playing. There's no start playing in the top left.

Go to practice. Are you doing practice? No, go to practice. I can't go to practice. It doesn't let me click on that. It just says, I'm in. You got to refresh the page. Refresh the page. I mean, it works for me. It works for me. I love the FPS counter for a single bucket of water. No, but every time I refresh the page, it goes back.

Every time I refresh the page, it goes back to friends. It won't let me click on anything else. Dude, I'm watering. Are you watering right now? Okay. Why is the bucket not going to the side? It is going to side. What do you mean? What I'm going here is just, it's just erect. I had to click leave room.

That's what happened. Look at this. It just remains erect. Why is it not tipping over? Why is it not tipping over when you move it? Yeah. Yeah. Well, I mean, how do I know that I'm getting water in? Because you see, you literally see it fill up. So like the more you move it side to side, the faster it will actually fill up.

Hey Trash, can you tell me why the size of the bucket is 241.2 milliliters? Oh man, that was the bugging code. Is that even a full liter? I'm not even doing a full liter at a time. Okay, okay, you get the point. So that's the first one. Don't have to shake it back and forth. I don't think that actually increases speed.

It does. I'm telling you. I'm telling you it does. I'm telling you. But you can also use a sponge. Look, you can do a sponge, and you fill up the sponge with water, and you squeeze it. Well, how do you get a sponge? Yeah, how do you get the sponge? So you can go to... That's really nice. So if you go to, like... You can do...

There's like a reset button in the top right. And then it'll let you choose your tools. If you look at my screen. Okay. Yep. I got it. I'm setting the sponge. You see it? You see it? You see it? How do you see the sponge? Read the buttons. You just squeeze it. So you just push and hold just like the bucket.

All right. Okay. Okay. Squeezy. And then you unclick. And then you just un... So it's just like little various tools that will take longer to do things. And I was like, okay. Well, I don't know if I want to do that anymore. So then I was like, what other games can I make? How are you going to make strategy here?

Well, I mean, the strategy is basically how fast can you be effectively. Okay. And then, so I was like, okay, let's make it a little bit harder. You want StarCraft APM. You already want StarCraft APM. I know this is what is going on here. Yeah. So I was like, let's make it slightly harder. So I was like, I don't know.

I'm Asian. I like chopsticks. Right? That makes sense. All right. So I had a chopstick game. Okay. I'm white. I like chopsticks. Just throwing it out there. I don't know why I said that to me now. It just popped in my head. That was my thought process. Do all Asians love chopsticks? I don't think that's true.

Okay. I don't think Russia is known for chopsticks. I do love them. So I made this kitchen prep game and I was like, okay. Let's see how fast we can empty out A platter. Originally it was like sushi or something, right? I love where that thing just landed. So you can throw these things. Basically you're racing to see who can clear it out.

Okay. So this one takes a little bit more skill, right? You have to be more accurate, right? That makes sense. So you get that? 32 vegetables removed. That's a game. So I was like, eh. I was like, okay, well, maybe we can go a little bit further. Maybe we can do an excavator. Whoa! Okay. So like an excavator, and you can go here, you can dig, and you can pour it out, right?

So it's the same concept, right? All these are the same concept of you having to clear something within a time limit. So there's different time limits, or you can go all the way to the first one to clear a box. I like the excavator. So Excivator is cool. And I was like, okay, well, you know, this is not something you can play a lot.

Right? That's pretty good. I was like, well, I'm kind of, I was like, okay, I'm kind of tired of digging. Let's like do something that's more like friend slot. So then I made like a dung beetle game. And you can basically race to collect poop and you put it in your little thing here and you can go to other people's things and you can steal their poop too.

So this is like my mind started going with the friend slap stuff. So you can battle, right? I can't steal his poop. He can like boot me or whatever. But the idea is who can collect the most poop or whatever. I was like, okay. So I was kind of pushing the miles a little bit. I was like, let's try this.

And this is where the multiplayer came in. So when I tried to play this, it was just super laggy. I love that the beetles walk backwards. They go butt first. I love the butt first. That's kind of interesting. They're dumb beetles. That's what they do, right? When they have poop, they go backwards. Do they?

I don't know. That's a good question, Trash. But they're going backwards even when they don't have poop, though. If they don't have poop, they walk normal like this. I don't know why the computers are walking backwards. These are all computers. I was going to say, the ones I'm watching are going backwards all the time.

That's true. They know something you don't know. I think they know something I don't know. I was like, okay. So now my mind's getting into multiplayer stuff. And I was like, okay, we can probably get a little bit harder. That takes a little bit more scope. That wasn't too bad. So I was like, okay, let's do a Toe Trek game.

So here you have to actually use WASD, back up, and actually like, oh gosh, I'm not very good at this. That's actually kind of a nice aesthetic, Trash. I'm not going to lie. This is a nice aesthetic. It reminds me of the Traffic Jam game where you move the cars around to set up the different puzzles.

You know what I'm saying? You know the game? Oh man, that car is getting crushed by you. Where's the damage meter? Why is it not picking up the car? There we go. You have to bump into it first, like a real tow truck. Yeah, see? See, so this is where it starts to get harder, right? This is actually super hard to do.

And I was like, okay, let's see what else we can do. So this is me evolving over time. Right, right. We're seeing your skills. This is good, though, Trash. This is good. I know. They're slowly getting better. But why, like, was it that you didn't think that you could do more with this game? Like, it seems like you stopped before seeing if there was a game here, though.

In a lot of these. Well, I, because, like, for these, it's like, my kind of goal was how long could I see myself actually playing this game before I just forget about it? But how would you know? Clearly you could make a game about towing cars. True. Yeah, I think so too. But I think ultimately where I went was I was trying to, like I said in the beginning, I was trying to make a site of a bunch of mini games.

Okay. Where you can kind of just pick something, kill some time, and then go do something else. Okay. So that was kind of like the idea. It's like, let me get a quick five minute gaming session and effectively. Okay. Okay. So that's like basically where this whole site is. That's why there's so many different modes, right?

So we have like this one. If you ever play like Karate Kid, there was like a, you could catch chopsticks way back in the day. Oh yeah. Nice. So this is kind of like the modern version. So you can, you can catch little flies and throw them in your bowl. And like, like there's gold flies. The gold flies are like worth more.

And it's pretty, honestly, it's kind of hard to do. So this is like where you would have friends... The camera's kind of not helping there. It's not perfect. It's not perfect, okay? But you see where I'm going with this. I was like, okay, because I'm trying to figure out games that would be harder, that would make people want to play against each other.

So it's like, I need to keep stepping up the difficulties. Yeah, there has to be an element of skill that makes it fun. Exactly. An element of luck that makes it so that even when someone's not as good, they can still win sometimes. Yeah. Exactly. And that's where my surprise game comes in later, which you will see.

Oh, okay. Oh, I like this. So the rest of these, like, honestly, there's not, they're not too difficult. Like I made, again, this is me kind of just testing the LLMs to see what they could do. You can basically be a goose and just like collect stuff and go against your friends and see how fast you can go.

Like I see. Woo! Basically, just see how fast you can click a picnic blanket or whatever. So again, these don't really have too much depth. It's just like, I was kind of just curious because Astrid just came out. So I was really curious what it could do. And what I figured out was it was good at modeling, but not so much the code.

So I was going to say that kind of looks like it. It looks like the code's very janky, but the modeling is like you've asked it to produce all these things and it did some, you know, it like it did a wide variety. They're kind of in the same style, but I assume that was a request of yours. Right. Because you want the site to look right.

You know, so that's that's desirable. Right. I think my computer is dying because of this website. I love that. Gary Tans Cable. You're going to burn out Gary Tans Cable. I literally can't do anything. Oh, my God. Am I back? Oh, my God. That website just killed my head. Hey, Trash. Okay. That's awesome.

The website literally just killed me. That's awesome. I think there's too much 3JS going on. Hold on. Let me hear it again. It's Tan's Revenge. It's Tan's Revenge, dude. Casey, as an expert, as a legendary game programmer, when you see this many models take down a website, what do you feel on the inside?

I mean, I... To be honest, though, I don't necessarily feel anything on the inside because it's been known for so long how bad the web handling of this stuff is. It's like you go to a 3D site and all of a sudden all the fans spin up for no reason. You're like, what is going on? I don't know that that's – it might be – I'm sure part of it's the AI's fault, but a large part of it is just the platform being bad, right?

It's the training data. You know. So I don't know. It's the training data because unfortunately people made bad sites beforehand. Yeah. Yeah, I don't blame the AIs for things that I've seen happen plenty of times before, right? Okay, that's all. This is the one where I pivoted last night. because I felt bad that I didn't have a digging game.

And then we were talking in Slack or on Discord yesterday that we should have a digging game. So I started panicking. I love for the last two weeks, we're like, dude, trash, digging game. Here it comes, trash. And trash is like, so I pivoted last night to make a digging game. I do need to understand...

What was the digging game you were speaking of two weeks ago? Was it the platform that you built or something that you're not going to show us? So the idea would have been... So you know how we have the pool game where you're kind of just scooping out water? It was effectively that just with sand, and you would just have a fork or a knife, and it would just be absurd.

And you'd just be clicking mindlessly very fast to see who would win. But we don't have that. That game's not... It's not how we do relax the technology. I completely ditched it. I completely ditched it and I evolved it into these other games. And then I was slowly realizing that the idea just was like, I just realized the idea just wasn't very good.

OK. So it wasn't very good. So it wasn't very good for a multiplayer kind of thing. So this, what I'm showing you, is literally the point of view of you in front of some dirt. And it's literally a digging simulator. But it's actually kind of hard to do because it's based off of the game QWOP. So you actually have to.

Nice. So you have to. Except for this. Big QWOP guy. Yeah. Except for this version. This one. This one's live. This is dig.quorop.com because there's actually. I'll share this in the chat too. Oh, wow. There's a lot of letters. So this one's actually six letters, which then will go into my next game.

Just a quick question. Quick question. How come you didn't make it? How come it's not Q-W-T-Y-O-P? Because then it would have been symmetrical. This E-R really makes it very... It actually makes it, so for my next game, it actually makes it a lot easier to play, which is one of the main reasons. Okay.

Which maybe I can always switch it. I love this progression. Okay. I love where this is going. We can switch it later. Again, I can always tell my LLM to change it, but for right now, this is what it is. We're one English sentence away. Mm-hmm. So right now, Q and W will lift it up and down. E and R will basically change the angle.

Oh, I can play it. Oh, okay. There we go. Okay, can you see me now? We see it. Yep. Yeah, let's see it. You can see it now, right? Yeah. Why are you going up and down like that? It's weird. I was trying to demo the movement. Okay. So Q and W are up and down. E and R are the angles, right? Oh, I love this.

You have the opposite roll. And then O is like you're pushing it down to the ground, and P is you're pulling it out. So what you would want to do is you do W to lower it, And then you get your little angle in there. And then you push down with O. Change your little thingy here. Get it up. And then you pull it out.

And then you lift it. And then you move your thing over here. And then you change the angle. Boom. Nice trash. So there's different milestones. We have these milestones here where you can get to a certain depth and it actually saves everything in local storage. So this is not something you have to do in one activity.

So if you're bored one day and you just want to like dig, cause that's just like the dig. Touch dirt. You know what I'm saying? You have to dig some dirt, you go in there. I can dig it. See what I'm saying? You go over here, and then that's literally it. And so at each level, you'll see different things.

I think there's like dinosaur fossils at some point. What do you mean you think? Well, that's how I made it. He doesn't know what's in there. I haven't successfully dig. Here, I'll go to my local version that's a little bit deeper. Here. So this version is a little bit deeper. So there's some things in there.

You see that? Oh, I do see that down there. What is that golden rope that's sticking out? I think it's supposed to be a worm. Is it supposed to be a worm? It was the same location in both screens. Okay. It's a worm. It's a worm. Again, I just made this. It just deployed just now. Okay? You know what I'm saying?

So you can see here it gets deeper, but you can see how you can get pretty deep in this game. Okay? So I'm going to take it. I'm going to see how far I can get. My goal is to actually get to the bottom. But it makes it interesting because you can kind of, like, figure out, get your rhythm with the shovel.

Boop. Yeah. Boom. See that? So this is, again, this is more of like those truck driver simulators, plane simulators. Here, it's literally just a digging simulator, right? Digging simulator mixed with QWAP. I can respect that, Trash. Yeah. Okay. Now for the actual game that I want everybody to play. Okay.

You don't have to play now, but you can play later in life. We have this new game. Oh, gosh. I am poor. Oh, I love where this is going. And you have to pitch. So Q is your arm. Q is your arm. ER is your torso. And you can lose balance. You can lose your balance. So you have to time it really good. And then OP is your legs.

Oh, Trash, it's great. So you have to figure out how to. I've been practicing a lot, so I'm not bad at this game right now. That was a pretty good throw. I've been playing, I've threw at least like 5,000 pitches in this game, okay? So what you could do is you can try to get, I think the highest score you can get right now.

What's the web address? Qwerop.com, Q-W-E-R-O-P.com. Everybody go, you can get on the leaderboard. Wow, you want a .com domain for this? I love that. It's a live leaderboard, so if you get a high score, you can actually share your score here and then go put it on Twitter or whatever you want to do. That's it, I'm getting jammed to figure all of this out.

No, don't use your LL abs, dude. I will be so mad. But this game... So I made this game yesterday, and I was playing with friends, and we were like, oh, man, this is actually super deep. We were sitting here playing it forever, because it took me probably an hour just to get a really good storm. Yeah, I see this.

But I need faster reset. I need faster reset. True, true. It needs to be instant back to the next one. Instantaneous? Okay. It's like a second, right? Or two seconds? That's way too long, Trev. I'll deploy that as we speak. You fall over, you should just be able to press space, and it goes right back.

Space just resets. All right. I'm doing it right now. Wait, how do I throw the ball? You hit space. So that's my dough. So this is the game I really want everyone to play. It's actually Kwerapa Space. Okay, well, yeah, yeah, yeah. You know, yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay, hold on, dude. I have this. I know, Prime, I want to watch Prime do it for...

I know, but I know Prime's going to, like, not... He's going to play until he can't... I just lost a week of productivity from him on this one, Trash. Thanks. Okay, okay, okay, hold on. So 602 I think is the highest score that you can get, and I think we've gotten 601. I cleared the leaderboard before.

What do you mean it's the highest you can possibly get? Like, because you can throw up to a little funny. Don't complain, just get used to it. Acclimate, acclimate. Great point, great point. Okay, okay, okay. So someone scored a 601. The fastest you can throw it is 90 miles per hour and a strike. The more accurate the strike, meaning it's in the middle of the strike zone, the more bonus points you get.

And then the faster you throw it, the more points you get. Okay, okay. So it's all about speed and accuracy. Alright, so that's what makes it super, super hard. Okay, okay. Once you figure it out, it's good. Prime's addicted now. Yes, I do. It is a great game. Okay, okay. It is a great game. This is an A+.

This is an A-plus game for me. Yeah. Krop is... This is incredible. I just want to play it so bad for like an hour to get this like throw down. Nice. Plum did it. Nice job, Plum. People are cooking. Dude, GG Easy gets 90 miles an hour. He's cheating. There's a cheater. Casey, any thoughts? I'm probably the wrong target audience because I like I hate quap games.

Like, so so this is like almost impossible for me to judge. I think we should just use Prime. How long Prime plays it for as the as the score for Trash's game, because that that's like he's obviously the target audience. Right. Casey, have you seen Prime do actual quap? No, I didn't know that. I didn't know that he was a quapper.

Yeah, a little quick. Okay. So just to be fair, I have not copped in like in any serious capacity for, for a long time, Casey. So it's going to take me a second to remember how to do this. Hold on. Okay. Yep. Yep. Hold on. Give me a second. He just got messed up on core op, obviously. So I know. Oh my gosh.

What is going on? He's messing up his, messing up his muscle. Okay. I think I, I think I almost got it back. Just give me a second. Yep. Okay. One time me and Prime did multiplayer co-op and we both played one half of the keyboard. What is happening right now? Oh, gosh. Okay, okay. I'll give you one more.

That was okay. Give me a second. There we go. You kind of got... Oh, there we go. I'm still not feeling it. I'm still not feeling it. My QWAP skills have clearly deteriorated. Oh, yeah. Look at that. Now, that's... It should. It should. It should. It should. It should. It should. It should. It should.

It should. It should. It should. All right. One more. Oh, my gosh. We've got multiple weeks of lost productivity now. Because you're just back on the QWAP train. Great QWAP is back. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. You get my gaming face, which, by the way... Oh, he's so back. Why I can't do... Why I can't do gaming and streaming because I get the most intense face.

Isn't that good? Isn't that good for game streaming? Oh, look. Did you see that? Oh, the bunny hop. Because I co-opped an uncontrollable amount. Look at that. They don't call me Twinkle Toes for nothing. Okay, buddy. Do they call you Twinkle Toes at all? I've beaten this game. Wait, you can beat Twop?

I didn't even know that. Do you not see how fast I'm going? You are going very fast right now, actually. Oh, no, oh, no, oh, no. Oh, no. Oh, God. Okay, good recovery, good recovery. Good save. Oh, but this is where I get kind of into that really hard zone where you have to now do the hurdle. What? Oh.

Nice. Great. Oh, you don't... Dude, I had it. I had it. Great one. I could get back into it, but I can't. Did you play Sexy Hiking or its successor Getting Over It with Bennett Foddy? I did try to play Getting Over It for a moment. Getting Over It is really hard. You have to really get in there. I couldn't quite hit the same as Coif.

Coif naturally spoke to me immediately. Prime, great job. I know. I'm going to really get into this. All right. So what about you? What about TJ? Yeah, Prime, do you want to go or me? I've got it. I'm ready. Honestly, TJ, yours is probably really good. TJ's is always really good. Okay, so Prime first.

Prime first. I should probably go first. Okay. Okay. Let me send you guys the web address because we can't have a bunch of people pile in. So please do not share it. Okay. Okay. So hold on. Let me get there. Let me just make sure that that last one has been actually kicked off. Actually, TJ, could you go?

Because I need a moment longer. Okay, sure. I've got two. How about I show my first one? The only reason why I'm telling you this is because the music would go on right away, and it was a little too distracting, so I had to take that out. What I'd love is for Trash, could you share your screen again and then play this for me?

Because I think that would be the best version of it, since it's your game experience. I think it'll be straightforward to play, so... Dude, you got Gary Tan cabled. You got Gary Tan cabled. You got Gary Tan cabled. Yes, we can. We can. But you need to improve your USB-Cs. That's your problem. You got to go to Gary Tan.

I don't know where he is right now. But ask him what kind of cable did he use so that the AIs kept working. Well, the good news is that Gary Tan has Gary Tan AI. So you can actually go to Gary Tan at any point and go and talk to him. There you go. Go to Gary Tan AI. Ask, how do I make – what cable do I need to make the AIs keep working on my machine?

Okay. Okay. I love that trash made a video game. And the response is I actually have to restart my computer from play. I need to refresh Riverside too. It's Riverside Casey. Hey, it's just me and you. How are you doing? Nice tea, by the way. What are you drinking? It's not tea. It's just water. Actually.

I'm sorry. Oh, I thought it's a fancy glass, but yeah. Okay. Yeah. Because I only get to see you through a very small window. Yeah. And so it looked kind of like it had a little bit of coloring to it. Yeah. I do drink tea in the same glass. I just am not right now. Okay. I like a good cinnamon herbal spice, if you will.

Okay. That's nice. Cinnamon herbal spice is a go-to Sunday morning drink for me. I love cinnamon. I love cinnamon tea. That's right. Very dainty, very dignified. Yeah, dignified. I wouldn't call it dainty. It's a bit dainty. My favorite cinnamon tea? Cinnamon Toast Crunch. Okay. Okay. Cause that's CTC right there.

Right. Cinnamon tea. The tea stands for toast. Toast crunch. Exactly. Toast crunch. Trash is currently restarting his computer. How, what kind of website have you built that requires a computer restart? That is insane. That trash is current situation is. I don't know guys. My game went so bad. It turned my computer off from the browser.

He discovered a zero day in Chrome. Like what happened? Yeah. I am actually super. Dude, he's getting 502s apparently. He said 602, but I assume he's getting 502. I wonder if he has Cloudflare tunneling to his own computer and then told everybody. Oh, my goodness. You're probably right. He's not hosting it.

Oh, dude. Dude. Wait, can you play the game while he's rebooting? Can you play the game while he's rebooting? Because if not. That is what happened. But that is actually such a funny, it's possible. I wish it was true. I don't think it's true, but I wish it was true. No, it's still up. It's still up.

Okay. So it's probably not that. Extremely disappointing. Like, I'm looking at it here, and it's running. Gotcha. Gotcha. I'm back. All right, cool. All right, trash. 11 S 8 PM. That's right. That's what it says. That is what it says. One last migration. Basura. Ooh, trash in Espanol. I like it. Gotcha.

Track anything. Remember everything. Never lose an argument again. Time to ship it. Press space to ship it. Gotcha. V1 is live. It's beautiful. Let's find out who really leaves the dishes in the city. I see what digging means in this situation. The next morning. Walk with arrow keys, face evidence, and press space to log it with gotcha.

Press enter to check your gotcha log. It's space. Oh, what did you do, team? Oh, no. Oh, no. Oh, my. The dish pile. Oh, no. Dishes in sync day 41. The fork has achieved sentience. Or sentience. What? Oh, my guy. Exhibit A, the one that started it all. Oh, my. I got to show this to my wife. She's going to love this game.

Every cabinet door is open. The kitchen looks like it's screaming. That's actually pretty good. That's pretty good. I'll close them after the photo, maybe. Four boxes. It was on sale, logged. The Tower of Consumerism tagged and filed. Oh my goodness. Set to 74 degrees Fahrenheit. I set it to 68. A six degree betrayal.

The numbers don't lie. I do, but the numbers don't. Oh, my goodness. So, Tiege, I'm curious. Yep. Because you had to prompt an AI to do this, did you have to prompt the AI with an explanation of what Trash had done with his receipts? I'll be honest with you, Casey. I did not have to. Trash, go check some of the other doors, too, before you go.

I know. So I was about to go. Oh, yeah. Wait, what's this thing following me? Yeah. Oh, you'll find out. He's on the hall. You're digging yourself into it. Oh, okay. That's cute. This is literally a real scenario right here. I'm not joking, though, Casey. I think our podcast about the receipts app is in the training data because it picked some of the exact ones without me having to do anything.

No way. Really? Really? Yeah. Okay. Are we that important? Really common. Like, leaving dishes in the sink? No, no, because I specifically told it to go do a little bit of research on some of the stuff from our podcast and everything, so, like, by the way, this was not very many prompts, either. I started this this morning.

So you literally did, so the AIs now know about Trash's app. Yep. Yeah, Trash, why don't you talk to her? Esposa wants to talk. Go, gotcha. What will Basura do? Accused. Gotcha. I'm going to dig. Basura dig. I'm just saying. Esposa used deep sound. Basura has confidence, pal. Let's do accused. Dish pile.

Presented the dish pile. Exhibit A, 14 dishes, timestamped, geotagged. It's super effective on Basura's whole. Okay. Those are your dishes from your ramen. Basura is knee deep now. The hole got deeper. It's supposed to use the look. It's super effective on Basura. What will Basura do? I'm running, dude.

She's standing in the doorway. There's no running from this conversation. It's supposed to use I'm fine. It's a trap. Basura fell for it. Gotcha. Let's do push. Whoa. Export PDF. What is push notif? Push notification from the app. Okay. It's all the different things he can do from the app. All the things he's logged.

I exported a 12-page PDF. It has a table of context. It's supposed to use counter evidence. Oh, my goodness. She pulled up three years of text sorted by date. Basuria's waist deep. The hole got a lot deeper. Dude, this is insane. I'm kind of confused why. It keeps saying the hole got deeper, but it doesn't seem to have gotten much deeper.

It's getting wider. No, I mean in the hole depth meter. But perspective. Oh, the hole depth meter. Yeah, yeah. Oh, I wasn't even paying attention to that. The meter has no sensibility. The meter is just not connected, maybe. Yeah, yeah. There you go. See, I'm getting lower. It's supposed to go into the bedroom.

Oh my goodness. Look how big my hole is. You're in big trouble now. Oh no. The thing I like about this game is its accuracy. This is extremely accurate. This has a good real life accuracy to it. That literally looks like my wife too. Explosive wants to talk. Go gotcha. Oh my god. So just keep doing this until I get to the bottom.

Yeah, yeah, I think, so then, right, so yes, after you do this fight, usually it'll say, maybe instead of making an app, I should make a game about digging. We don't have to play the rest. Let's just see it. Let's just see it. I'm not mad. Can I just keep digging myself? The bar is getting, the whole depth, the bar?

It did go up. It did go up. It goes up a little. Oh, I'm sorry. You feel that way? Bad move, Trash. Bad move. Here we go. Calm down. Oh, no. That's like the most triggering statement ever. He's dug too deep. I hate you. Well, that's a little heavy-handed. Especially hates Basura. Basura won. Oh, my God.

This is amazing. Gotcha. Wow. Maybe I'll try making games. Yeah, I got to show this to my wife. This is way too good. This is way too good. Oh, my. I have no words. I have no words for that. That was poetry. Thank you. Thank you. That reminds me kind of of like the Pony Island sort of genre of games.

If you guys know. I don't know. I don't watch My Little Pony. Do you guys, you guys don't know Pony Island? You don't know the Hex? Do you know the Hex? I know Penn Island. All right, well, fine. You know Penn Island? You know Penn Island. Yeah, I know Penn Island. Yes. We know trash. We're familiar.

All right, Prime, are you ready? All right. I believe I am ready, but I just want to triple make sure. Okay. I just want to make sure. Okay. See, just for, just for, well, probably you're getting that set up. I'll just mention a few things about the game. So I started that this morning. That was all Opus 5-5.

I wanted to test it out since that's what the original tweet was. I probably spent, I spent less than two hours probably on the game. How many hours did you spend thinking about it? um i had the idea very early on after trash said it's a pretty good game yeah yeah yeah making one about him digging himself in a huge hole yeah um i like my wife thought it was hilarious i showed her this morning as i was making it and she was like that's really good i can't wait for that to go so i knew i was on to something that's called market research that's why is anyone in the game Oh, did you share it?

Yeah, I shared it in the stand-up. I just want to make sure because yes. Okay, nice. I see somebody joining up. Nice, nice, nice, nice. I'm coming. Hold on. Okay, awesome. Awesome. Okay, so everyone enter in your name. Okay, hold on. We got to share the screen. Does anyone want to share their screen?

I'll share. Okay, why don't you share? Wait, what is... Okay, Prime, I have a question. Yeah? For you. Because I really need to know the answer to this question. Every time, so all of the games that Trash showed at the beginning, maybe not so much the actual hole digging game. or the baseball game, but all the ones previous to that.

And then the one that TJ showed, the art was all reasonable. But every time you've shown a game, it looks- Great point. I don't even know what I'm looking at. I can't even parse what is my character. Yeah. What are you prompting differently that makes it so that it's unintelligible? That's a great point.

What is going on? You'd be shocked that this piece of artwork that you're looking at cost over $500. What? What happened? No, Brian, how, dude? How? What's going on? I don't. You know what? I got to figure that out another time. Okay. I'm not an artist. All right. But you're not. But the AI is. You're not making the art.

The AI is making it. And why is it making pixel art that looks okay for TJ and not for you? My guess is that TJ is using real photos. I didn't use any real photos, right? I assume TJ did not describe what trash looked like in English to get that good of a... Yeah, but look at TJ's avatar in Casey's. What is that?

I don't know what I'm looking at. It just looks like a big mess of stuff. I don't know what's happening. That's a shadow. You only see your avatar, and then you see the shadows of the other players. Okay, well I'm ready. Well then what am I? I haven't entered in mine. Well, you just look at you. I don't know what yours looks like.

Okay, mine looks terrifying. Just in case you're wondering mine looks very scary. Okay, I'm gonna share it. I'm ready whatever it is. Mine just looks like visual noise like it loaded an image wrong. It looks like the loader was broken or something. It doesn't look right. Oh, so yours looks like... okay, yours looks terrible.

I will try to explain what's going on here. Which is that... Thank you. We have a digging game. All right? Because I thought we were making digging games. TJ, once again, hit the pun. And so how it works is that... I have a real digging game, too. Yes. As you can see on the side, there is left, down, up, right.

Uh-huh. There will be a song that plays and arrows that come up. Okay. Depending on how accurately you hit the arrows is how fast you dig. Okay. Oh, I love the audio. You don't have to. It's not that great of a song, just in case you're wondering. Fable did create it. Depending on how fast you are or how well you hit the arrows is how fast you dig downwards.

If you fall off the screen. Dig, dig revolution. Yeah. If you fall off the screen. Then you die. Or you're supposed to die. And it's supposed to be the fastest person going down. I was going to put in other types of dirt. That is harder. You could go left and right. All right. But all of those I could do.

All right. So instead we did this one. So I'm going to hit enter. Okay. All right. So now you pretty much just have to start. Oh my gosh. Is it WASD or arrow keys? It looks like it's WASD. All right. So I should have killed you guys. Mine doesn't register any pushes no matter how accurate I am. Yeah.

Mine's definitely going real fast. So I'm just pressing down arrow, and apparently that just works. Okay, so that's not supposed to happen. You guys are supposed to die. This is not working at all. It's not working at all. And so I didn't try it out. It's also not on the beat. It's also not on the beat, dude.

I know it's not on the beat at all. Also, you can just keep pitting down. You don't have to do anything. Hey, Casey, but look, the networking does work, which you have to at least be impressed with that. Actually, I don't. this is better than call of duty well that might be true but why is it that you move left and right when you hit the things it doesn't even make sense as a game concept like if I just hit left and right I dig right and left what do you mean Like, why would it not be that I'm digging straight?

It's a dance game. I know. I'm supposed to hit the buttons. So obviously it got a little bit confused. It put the arrows there, and it just kept the arrows, but it didn't actually do anything with the arrows. No, I'm saying it's doing stuff with the arrows. It's that when I dig to the right, I go to the right.

That doesn't make sense for a digging game where we're supposed to go down. That was part of the original idea was that there would be different types of dirt. No, I dug all the way to the bottom basically and just gave up. I'm way down there. I'm trying to actually play. Yes. It doesn't work. It doesn't work.

So the original idea was that you press the arrows that are coming, and then each one of those would give you a strength of how hard you get to hit. And then you could choose your direction because there could be like rock and rock would take like 10 hits. So you'd want to go around the rock. Obviously a pretty difficult game.

Lots of arrow keys going on at that point. And so I decided just to go straight down. It didn't listen to my straight down instructions. Instead, this is what we got. Like I said, didn't have time. This is where we got to. You were saying last week you were all tilted at me that I had to fly back to San Francisco because you were so ready for a digging game.

Yeah, I exaggerated. Real bad. Real bad. I exaggerated. Very, very much so. Dude, I'm still laughing and I'm hitting all the dang arrows. I'll show my other game. Oh, TJ, you made two games? Yeah, he made an actual digging game, apparently. Right. I don't know how you're going to top that one, though, Teej.

Good luck. I mean, you know. Trash, you share again, and you can show it. We'll see how it works. This one is way rougher because it's a much more ambitious project, but it does actually do some stuff. Okay. And you'll love the concept of it. What in the world? All right, where is this? Can someone share a screen?

Yeah, Trash is going to share his screen again. We need audio or no? I don't think so. It has music again, but I don't think I added an audio slider. I didn't think about you have to share in Riverside and stuff. I can't read any of this. It's too small. It says new game, load game, import options, gravel empire.

New game. So it's roller coaster tycoon, but for digging. Oh. So Trash, you can hit new game. All of the stuff's kind of... It's too small for probably the size of screen here. I didn't implement probably the right kind of zooming. Looks good on my screen, etc. But so Trash, you can start hiring people.

So you go to hire. You get workers to come in, right? So then you start digging. And it's a big gravel pit. And you're trying to basically build an empire... to do as much gravel things as you can here. You're digging. I made an actual digging game. Like it's about digging as well. Right. You know what I mean?

So then trash, you've got your workers, right? Okay. And then in the, in the top right up there, there's a little, um, the dig, like the dig icon. Yeah. That guy right there. You can start planning out the spots that you want. Doug. Doug. how deep you want it to be, et cetera. Then these guys will come over there and then they'll start digging them.

Or maybe not. If I didn't, if I pushed a broken version. Yeah. Yeah. So I'm sick. Yeah. There you go. That's, that's a very deep, that's a very deep one. I think you need to build a road out to them. Trash. It's, it's rollercoaster tycoon. They can't walk without getting to the dig site. Right. How much money do you have?

How come you can just build all this so easily? Yeah. Uh, it's in your, it's in your bottom left. Okay, now what? I made a road to it. Can't they get to it? You did not make a road to that at all. Trash, it's 3D. That's down, dude. You're, you're. You have to go to the, like, the little dry things on the top.

Come on, Trash. I've never played Roller Coaster Tycoon, okay? Yeah, but you know how 3D works. Make the road, like, make the road go to the tile that it's on. Do more road. But can I just move this over? Sure, yeah, yeah. Tell them to dig somewhere else then. Or make more footpaths. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.

The top, the, the, okay, this is good. I'm tilted, I'm tilted, I'm so tilted right now. I got it, I got it, I got it, I got it, I got it. I don't know if they can dig, I think I made it though so they can't dig that deep right away, Trash. You gotta start, like, them with a small, a small dig. Yeah, they have to build to it, right?

Unless I messed it up. They probably can't even do four meters. Why would you dig on the road, Trash? I just wanna see them make it to it. One meter, do one meter. Yeah, maybe you should share a screen. This makes no sense. Okay, now what? I thought they would dig. When I was testing, they dig now. Can I not remove these?

They're hired? No, those are the people that you're hired. No, I'm talking about all these three models. Trash, try to put them in a crew. I'll check myself here. I'll check myself as well. Pick them up and put them down somewhere else. I'll do that. All right, I am building something. Oh, there we go.

There we go. I got it. You're doing it, right? I have to pick them up. Oh, nice. See, they got the same roller coaster tycoon situation here. They're not digging, though. Is it the wrong time of the day? They're only supposed to work during certain times of the day, too. You also... Okay, this is way too common.

This is day crew, 7 to 3.30. No, no. You can also... Okay, so Trash, it won't necessarily work right now, but see the little house icon next to the road? There's, like, you can start building buildings and machines. Oh, you have to give them... Did any of them have shovels yet, Trash? I don't think we gave any of them shovels.

What is happening? Okay. How do I give him a shovel? How do I give him a shovel? TJ, this is fantastic. I love the art style. Thanks. I needed one more day to do this since I started this at 10 a.m. my time, which is three hours before stand-up started. Oh, you can fire people. I don't know how to make him start, though.

I don't know how to give him a shovel. I'll set this up for next week, guys. I'll set this up for next week. I needed just a little more time. I needed a little more time. All right, anyways. On potential, though, I feel like I get one potential grading, too. This is roller coaster. This is pretty good.

I mean, I like how it looks in general. Thank you. JC, you're up. Talk to us. Talk to us. What do you think about this? I'm not going to lie to you guys. This is pretty rough. Yeah. I guess what I'd say is the only game that feels like it could potentially be a game, meaning as it is, as it is as presented, not potential.

So we'll factor that for temporary. Trash's pitching game, but only because the genre of that game is that it's incredibly janky. Like, the whole genre of QWAP games is that they don't really work. And so I'm not even really sure that's fair because, you know, that's... QWAP is kind of what you would get if you didn't finish the game code.

Right? That's what QWOP is, sort of, but intentionally. It's like, here's... We didn't actually, you know, make it into a standard polish game. We just hooked up, you know, these things directly to springs on the legs and good luck, right? Yeah. So I guess what I would say is, I don't know. Like, I don't feel like there's a way to really rank anything in this case.

Obviously, Tiege had the best... If we gave out an award for narrative... Yes! It was a good narrative. That clearly goes to Tiege for his trash parody. Thank you. But other than that, I'm not sure. I would say if we went with potential, I'm afraid... Sorry, can we reload Trash? Sorry, what? I actually...

I forgot. I have loaded scenarios that are halfway through the game. Can Trash reload and show where my game is in a scenario instead? Because, Casey, I got something cool going on in the middle of the game that will explain what it actually is. I want... That's actually part of the game. Okay. I need one more shot.

Okay. Trash reload and then go to scenarios. Which game? Okay. Travel Empire, of course. Because I think I'm going to pull ahead a little bit maybe after this. Can you hear me real quick? Oh, yeah, thank you. TJ, you do know that you're going against my game, right? What are you pulling ahead of? I want to see my vision for the game of what I set out to do.

Okay, Trash, there's scenarios. Okay, we need to change the font size of this game too. And then just click the bottom one, bottom play button. The bottom one? Okay. Yeah, there you go. Okay, this is more where you're supposed to get to, okay? Just as you get cranes, they fill up dump trucks, you're automating more.

It's building a factory inside of the gravel pit as you're digging down. I just at least show where the game's supposed to get to before we get the rating. Those two trucks just drove through each other. Oh my gosh, that truck just pulled right into him. They can do that in Roller Coaster Tycoon. Actually, they don't do that.

I'll add a clue. Sorry. Anyways, continue, Casey. What I was going to say is on the potential front, I know everyone is going to be like, what? But honestly, if Prime had actually made... a game where, like, so two things. If you took the game that you had there and it worked at all, which it didn't, right?

But let's imagine that you actually did have to hit the DDR steps, right? Yeah. And you did a couple obvious things that you would want to do. Like, for example, don't put the steps on the left. Put them under your character. Like, this is kind of just like game 101 stuff, right? Like I said, it was a rough idea.

It was my idea that was really good. So if you did some of those things, that actually seemed like the most promising game to me. Like, if you're like, which one of these would you play? Like, I would play that game. I probably wouldn't play any of these other... I don't like QWOP games, so again, I said I'm kind of the wrong judge for that.

Maybe that baseball game's really good. We'll let Prime be the judge of that, because he clearly, clearly is the perfect judge of a QWOP game. So he will give it his thumbs up or thumbs down after 17 hours of play starting now. After I have missed several videos next week, I will be glad. So he will judge that one.

I unfortunately can't. Maybe it's excellent. So I'm not saying it's not. I just couldn't tell you. I didn't like QWOP. So I'm the wrong person. The Digging Tycoon game, unfortunately, just like, I don't know, like, I mean, sim games are sim games. Maybe if you... I don't see where the interesting part of it is that makes it so like I'm going to want to play that.

It's like... It's one of those orgy games where there's like 18,000 windows. Sometimes those come together... it's unlikely that it would. Maybe the AI is really good at figuring out how to put those together. Maybe it's not. I don't know. So I wouldn't give that high odds, but I would have to actually see the finished thing and see if it actually feels good to organize and does that actually... That's what differentiates those games.

So, yeah. Unfortunately, I apologize to everyone, but I'm going to have to give it to Brian. I don't know. game which which i would also say looked the worst like it looks absolutely horrible i don't know what is going on there how to make it i'm sorry okay i don't know the well but poison the well with the potential talk at the beginning he did he did he swerved it all around I would just like to throw out there.

You led the jury. I did. I did. But it's still Casey. He still gets to make his own decisions. Unless you're saying that Casey can't make his own decisions, Trash, which I know you're not. Okay, first off, I just want to throw out there that I made up that game idea while watching Sophie Tucker live at Red Rocks.

That was pretty good. Got to see it for my birthday. Got to see it for my birthday. A lot of fun. And then number two, it could have been a good game. You know, if I would have actually had some time to set aside, I think I could have made it pretty good because I did. The only thing I tried on was the networking.

And that actually was pretty good. Like I watched you, Casey, next to me, and it is all like time tracked. It does like time differentials. And so we actually are all listening to the same song at the same moments. All the arrows are in sync. So everyone should have been digging in sync, but screwed it up.

In my defense, also, I would point out that I think that judging things on their potential, like these are all vibe-coded games. And the whole point of the AI hype cycle is to talk about potential, right? No one's talking about what we have. We're talking about what we might have. And so I think it is perfectly in line with the spirit.

of vibe coding to just say like well maybe someday this will be a good game but think about this Casey if we would have taken my digging game if I would have like just got some off the shelf assets did a very little work or even tried to do be better at creating assets I could have created a demo where like zoom in on the guy.

He already picked you, bro. You don't have to sell it to him. TJ, just listen for a second. We could have zoomed in on the guy. The beats. The digging. Things look super good. Go over to TJ's gravel one. It could have looked so good as a demo. Like the demo would have been out of control. Like if TJ made a demo video.

It would have been so hard not to say, like, this game is amazing. And so this is really what demo videos look like when you play them, okay? This is just what's happening right now. Well, why don't you guys do that? Post to your, after this, post your trophy, like, I spent $5 on tokens that I made something 10 times better than Roller Coaster Tycoon and just show little, like, snippets of the thing.

I would never besmirch Roller Coaster Tycoon like that. I would never do that. All right. But I would say inspired by. Okay. All right. There you go. Thanks for the win. I knew I'd win. I knew I had a great idea. All right. I knew my idea was actually good. TJ is so tilted right now because he's like, my rollout was great.

No, I don't think my – I think it needed a few more days to cook. If I didn't have to – if I wasn't in San Francisco last week, I think I would have – I could have had a clean sweep here for best narrative and – best possibility as well. Best potential. I'll take one. So for next competition, we're just going for best ideas.

But Trash won best overall game, right? He won actual game that fits its genre and was most completed. Oh, for QWOP? Yeah, for QWOP. Well, I think I had to defer to you, Prime. So you will award that because you have to play it and determine if it's a good QWOP game. Oh, I can tell you right away, it's a good QWOP game.

Then there we go. That's all we really need. I want to play it very, very bad. So everybody's a winner. Because let's be honest, I'm not going to play any of these games. But if Prime is going to play the QWOP game, then that is an actual... You got an actual player. I know. I actually really want to go play QWOP.

I want to play QWOP right now. Yeah, that's a good sign. Dude, two people got 603. I don't know if they're using computer use or whatever. That's insane. I don't understand. I love computer use. I love computer use. Quarrop is like torturing the LLMs is so funny. What's your highest, Trash? What's your highest?

5.97. Okay. Dang, that's good. And I've never been anywhere close since. It was like a fluke. One of those magic ones? Oh, it feels good when you have a magic one. That's what makes quap games so good is when you hit something that actually even looks natural and you're like, that's what makes quap games so good.

That's a good game right there. I'm amazing at this game. So for the core up game, right now it's your best single pitch, but I might do a mode where you have to actually throw a strikeout and then whatever your three strikes are, roll into your highest score. So you have to actually do it consistently, which is the harder part.

Yeah, that would be harder. Because you also do the other side where you have to lift up your leg, move the bat up, and swing through. I know, I was thinking I wanted to walk baseball. You could have all three. You could even have catching. You have to move your guy and try to catch it. Yeah, trash baseball.

You can do so many things with this whole genre. Trash baseball. I was going to do swimming. Trash baseball is cool. Swim-tiful. Trash, if you did it where you did each of the three spots, what you could do is you could record people doing their pitches, send that up, and save them. So you don't have to actually wait for someone to do the pitch.

You just have a bank. of pitches that people do and they could get pitched to your batter right so they're all real quap pitches and then similarly you'd have people bat and then catch you could do all three it's the best pitch out there right you just gotta make sure all the data and everything does not get exposed onto the window object so people quit computer using and then just use canvas so they can't like they have to take images right like take away all availability for them to cheat Okay, well, I'm going to go work on my Sim game, and I'm going to make it so good in case he does want to play it next week.

TJ is so bad right now. I'm actually not, though. I thought I was going to come second. My Pokemon-inspired trash game did exactly what I wanted it to do. So that was the main one I wanted. That was really good. So that was a swish. I mean, I think you could make that one into a real game, but it's like there wasn't really much gameplay.

Oh, it's not a real game. It's just a joke. But you could have. You could just make a JRPG where you have to try and. Yeah. Yeah. They actually already did that. You catch these little monster guys and then they like end up selling cards related to them, too. So it's like. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.

Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, it's not like any of us have a crippling addiction to buying these monster cards either. Trash, is there any kind of inverse relationship you end up having due to the Pokemon where, like, your kids are, like, complaining that you spend too much of your time buying Pokemons or playing with Pokemons?

No, they rip all the cards, basically. Okay, okay. They're supportive of your habit. My son has, like, an absurd collection right now. Okay, so you guys are... They're all having a good time. And it works out because when we go... And he draws cool Pokemon cards, too. So we use them as birthday presents, too.

Gotcha. Bye-bye! Good game, everybody. Good game. Good games. I absolutely loved it. Okay. Thank you for watching the stand-up. Thank you, the legendary game programmer, Casey Muratori, for telling us exactly how quality our games were.
