Lament is a spiritual practice, and grief is a holy work. But how does this relate to the topic of loneliness? Because some of us love giving God our ideas but not our tears.

You may not receive the comfort and peace you want because you’re not giving God your full self. When you’re missing that comfort, you feel lonely. And the best way to deal with loneliness is to have deep intimacy with the Father. We have to learn to grieve with God, but for many of us, our pride becomes a hindrance to that intimacy.

This is part two of a conversation between Preston and Jackie about loneliness. Catch up on part one if you missed it last week: “When You’re Lonely by Design and by Choice” youtu.be/wMXNsy9YDnI
