Lovely Laura & Ben Santiago Bring Ibiza Flavour to the Data Transmission Podcast

There's a bit of Ibiza sunshine heading our way this week as Lovely Laura & Ben Santiago take control of the Data Transmission Podcast, bringing their trademark mix of house, disco and feel-good grooves.

The husband-and-wife duo have spent years lighting up dancefloors at Tomorrowland, Creamfields, Café Mambo, Pacha and Ibiza Rocks. With Ben behind the decks and Laura adding her unmistakable live saxophone, they've built a reputation for parties where the music and atmosphere come first.

Their productions have found homes on Eats Everything's Edible, Patrick Topping's Trick and Solardo's Sola, and their latest release, 'Juna' featuring Nandi, is out now on Creature Mode Records.

For this week's podcast, they've put together a proper selector's mix, digging through different corners of house and disco without losing the groove.

Young Pulse, Jamie 3:26 and Danou P kick things off with 'Blast Off', before Mendo's remix of 'Cafe Loco' and Fred Everything's 'A Missy Thang' keep things moving. There's a lovely bit of variety here, with Andhim's 'Hausch' sitting alongside Myd's remix of Cesária Évora's 'Bia Lulucha', a vinyl-only selection that brings something a little different to the proceedings.

Further in, there's music from Hatiras, Rooléh and Luke Alessi, before things head towards Terrence Parker's 'Somethin' Here'. And finishing a mix with Mighty Mouse's edit of Fleetwood Mac's 'Big Love'? That's a cracking way to sign off.

It's a tracklist that moves between disco, house and more leftfield selections, with enough familiar names and unexpected picks to keep the trainspotters busy.

Lovely Laura & Ben Santiago deliver a proper taste of their record bags this week. Get the podcast on, turn it up and enjoy.
