# Kirik Steps Into The Spotlight Following His Debut Album 'Meaning' on Cécille Records

Ukrainian DJ and producer **Kirik** takes control of this week's Data Transmission Spotlight Mix, fresh from the release of his debut album 'Meaning' on **Cécille Records**, which landed on 23rd October.

With over a decade behind the decks and in the studio, Kirik has built a reputation for deep, minimal and tech house grooves that do the business on a proper sound system. From launching his vinyl imprint Memory Remains in 2015 to becoming one of Beatport's Top 10 best-selling Minimal/Deep Tech artists in 2023, he's quietly put together an impressive run.

His relationship with Cécille has been gathering pace, with the 'Hug' EP and his Hector Couto collaboration 'Magic' setting things up nicely for 'Meaning'. The eight-track album moves between stripped-back rollers, deeper house cuts and tougher club material, all held together by Kirik's unmistakable groove.

For his Spotlight Mix, he's gone heavy on his own productions, dropping album favourites 'Meaning', 'Jogo Jogo', 'MASQuerade', 'Busy Line', 'Never Look Back' and 'I Still Love You' into the selection.

There's plenty for the diggers too, with unreleased material scattered throughout, including a collaboration with Milo Passier, an unreleased remix of Dr Kucho!'s 'Lies To Yourself' and several mystery IDs. Tracks from Joey Daniel, Ammé and Yellow Wax also make the cut, before Unknown Disco's 'Life Is A Party' brings things home.

A proper look inside Kirik's record bag, with a few things you won't find on Beatport just yet.
