What's up, friends, and welcome in to the Extra Point Podcast right here on Fantasy Pros. I'm Chris Welsh. That is Andrew Erickson. The team is here for the last October episode of the Extra Point. We go into November. We go into time change for me. And funny enough, we are actually doing this slightly earlier than normal, so maybe we'll even have a little bit of a different crew.

But guess what? This is the podcast for the people, by the people, and with the people because we want to talk to you. There is no show planned. There's no stuff. There's no things. It is just Erickson and I patiently waiting for you guys to ask us questions. And when you do so, we're going to bring you up.

And we do this in our Fantasy Pros Discord at fantasypros.com slash chat. That's how you can get there. It's a free Discord. I think you just got to have like a free Fantasy Pros account. All the things are free. And you can get a premium account if you want to have access to like literally everything, all the AMAs and stuff or the private channels. But join the chat.

You guys can come and hang out with us every single week when we're in here, and we'd love to talk to you, and we'd love to hang out and answer your questions. That is the plan, fantasypros.com slash chat. Join today. You can catch me and Erickson usually at 2 p.m. Eastern on every Thursday. We've got some Fitzy and Boggs like the third Tuesday of every month, and then I think it's Worm and Fitzy the first Tuesday of every month. There's a multitude of different things, but come and hang out. Be a part of the show.

Andrew Erickson. Hello, friend. Are you excited? You're about to go through a s'mores party that's going to happen. That's why we're going early. There's like a, Dynasty Pros is running, I don't even know what to call it. It's like a, it's a s'mores party, literally. It's a virtual s'mores thing.

Yeah, we're making some s'mores beverages to celebrate during the festivities of the holidays coming up, so you can showcase your abilities of, oh, let me make you a nice cocktail, mocktail type of thing. You get some s'mores materials, and they're going to think, what are you doing? But you'll be like, I know exactly what I'm doing because I took a class. So I have a degree that says s'mores maker when it comes to beverages. So I'm looking forward to it. Hopefully it can come out good. I have been experiencing a lot of L's lately in my life, just doing dumb things, breaking things, making food that tastes bad.

What did you make bad at?

So I made a very peppery dish of risotto last night because I accidentally dumped pepper in, and I tried to salvage it, and it just tasted terrible.

What kind of pepper? Like standard pepper?

Just like standard pepper, but I meant to season it. Instead, I dumped it because the cap. Yeah, and I'm like, okay, maybe I can work around this. No, no, you can't. Okay, what did you break?

No.

One of those, something that you put on, it's like on your stovetop where- If you're like using a spoon to mix something around, you will put place the spoon in between mixes. One of those, I don't know the exact word for it is, but it's like decorative. But it's something that my wife had and I broke it because I was trying to wash it in the sink and it slipped out of my hands and it broke.

And it's one thing when you feel like a lot of accidents happen around you. they're probably not accidents. It's probably on you. So that's something that I've been experiencing the last couple of days, taking a lot of L's. So today the goal was let's just neutral.

Okay.

Don't need to get some dubs.

All you're defending is Jalen Waddles coming back to you, is what you're saying?

Yes.

Oh, of course.

Who's injured again, of course. But hopefully W today, when we go to do these drinks, that'll be kind of fun and the s'mores and making all that stuff. So, and W's for the people, talking to the extra point, answering questions and.

I'm excited to talk to everybody.

Okay, let's do that. No more L's. Let's get you some dubs. You get to drink in the midday and eat s'mores and talk to people. You're living the life, man. Don't worry about some ladle getting broken and some peppered risotto. Things are going to be... I'm going to tell you this. If those are your only problems... Lavish life.

Yes, exactly.

Exactly. That is the big takeaway.

When I unload the things that are going on here, it ain't about peppered risotto. So I can only dream that those are mine. What are your guys's? We're excited to talk to you. Hands are raised. We're going to get to it. No Thursday night football stuff because we're going to keep Erickson in a really good mood. And let's start with Aztec. First up on the show. I think first timer on the show. I don't recall this name. Aztec, what up?

Hey, guys.

How you doing?

Can you hear me all right?

Yeah, we got you good, man.

All right, cool.

Thank you for taking me, long-time listener. So I posted my team in the chat, and it's actually the wrong team I have, so I'll delete that, and I'll try to get back on. But on that team, I have Devonta Smith, and I also have Darius Cooper.

It's a one-point PPR.

And I also have Quinchon Judkins. I was wondering if You guys will like hold out for Devonta Smith on Sunday night. And if he doesn't play, then play Darius Cooper or just roll with Quinn Sean.

Ooh, that's a pretty good question. Erickson, what do you think on that?

I think I'd wait it out. Honestly, it's a really good matchup for the commanders and they're playing on Sunday night football. So we should get a list more information on Sunday leading up to the games where Judkins has a really tough matchup against the Steelers.

Is that me or Erickson that's going out there? Oh, the s'more is already getting to him or is that my, is that my internet Erickson or is that you?

I think it was me.

Okay.

All right. It's Erickson.

That's what it was. I was just chilling.

Just waiting.

Erickson.

Oh man. This is actually the Erickson put pepper on the wifi. Who said that? Who said that in the chat? I Devo Erickson got pepper. Oh, this is one of the, There are things that I love in life, and it is things like this. When you monologue the open about L's that you're taking, and then literally internet craps out on the first question. Sometimes I love this stuff. And Pepper in the Wi-Fi is an all-timer. If we were really pressing merch, too, I would need some Pepper in the Wi-Fi. I would need Pepper in the Wi-Fi hats, shirts, all of it. Oh, give me more of it.

All right.

So I'm sorry. Well, you got repeat just like the last part of it. You said, would you wait it out because you've got Darius Cooper?

Yes, I would wait it out. I think Smith has a higher ceiling this week. It's the commander's defense versus Judkins facing the Steelers. Tougher matchup for him.

OK, perfect. Let's go. It's our friend Salt. Salt's in the house. What up, Salt?

What's up, guys?

Well, Erickson, I don't think we'll be taking an L on Sunday against the Dolphins unless I'm crazy. So you got something to look forward to. All right, so Chopped League, we're down to 11. Behind Gibbs and Drake London, I got to pick one more running back, one more wide receiver, and one more flex. And got some depth these days.

So for the running backs, it's Chase Brown, Tony Pollard, or Hampton.

And then wide receivers.

You got Emeka, Ladd, Diggs, Michael Wilson, and DJ Moore. So it's pick one running back, pick one wide receiver, and then pick one flex.

Okay, perfect. Thank you, Salt. I already know where the running back is going to be, so let's give us the Chase Brown sell for the week.

Chase Brown's facing the Tennessee Titans. Defense, they just traded away their best defensive tackle in Jeffrey Simmons to the Chicago Bears. So the Browns' rushing attack run all over Tennessee Titans last week. Ten and a half point favorites at home. Chase Brown, I know he's been disappointing, but he's still... the lead ball carrier for the Cincinnati Bengals.

So I'm expecting to have a big game here. So I would roll with him as my running back play. And I think the receivers, Michael Wilson feels like you just kind of have to plug your nose and play him against Dallas. I think it'd be probably him and digs, right? Maybe those are the two wide receiver and flex.

You like digs.

Oh, dogs.

Yeah.

I like digs. You know, the reference of the movie.

What's the movie?

So it goes.

The reference sounds familiar.

Diggs.

Like, yeah, Diggs. Oh, dogs.

Yeah, I like Diggs.

Nothing?

Dogs.

What movie is it? It's... I've never heard this before. Yeah, the movie Snatch. I'm forgetting the director now, but it was like one of his first, but it was like Pitt was in it and a bunch of other good people, but that's the line that I, anytime anybody ever... says like dogs or digs. I immediately think of that line.

Oh yeah.

I like dogs.

I like digs.

Um, yeah, I think you are right. I think it is. Oh man. I kind of want to say lad, like a tiny bit, but you.

Don't also, but it's tough, man.

Salt could go with Tony Pollard after you think there's a huge letdown after the Pollard game.

I think so. This is just a totally different spot for Pollard where, uh, If the Bengals are blowing out the Titans, you could see Tony Pollard not even really in the game. Spears, we don't know if he's going to play or not. So I just wouldn't chase Tony Pollard's three touchdown monster performance from last week because I think that was very specific to the optics of last week's matchup. And this week's matchup, I think, is very different.

Yeah, I think you might have said it best just earlier. Just maybe plug your nose. Michael Wilson, Diggs and Chase Brown. Those would be the plays. Also, I think. I took Salt off, but Salt also had a question of these. Concepcion or Omar Cooper? I'll just go through these.

Concepcion.

Dowdle or Coleman?

I feel like I should say Coleman, and it should be easy, but the Browns run defense is not good, and Dowdle is in a two-man committee, whereas Coleman is in a three-man committee in a much worse matchup. So I feel like Dowdle is the right answer. He caught a lot of passersby. last week, but I feel like this is not consensus, though.

Yeah, I don't trust Dowdle. I'm going to go Coleman there. And then tight end, Higby, Chig, or Friermuth?

Or Chig.

All right, or Higby. Or Higby on this one. All right, so we're a little bit torn on those because I think I might legitimately be the opposite of everything you said on that one. Like, Omar Cooper and Concepcion, I think, is really tough. I think they're close. I could give you the Concepcion one. The other two, I'm going to go on the other side. So there you go, Salt.

There you go. We got lots of them for you. All right, let's get another one over here. This is Overcome. What's up?

What's up, dudes?

What's up, dude? What's going on? What do you got?

May I ask two questions?

Please.

As long as it's not Thursday Night Football related.

Do I hold on to Minnesota's defense or draw them for Kansas City against Denver or the Lions I think could be sneaky against Minnesota? What do you think?

What do you think, Erickson?

I think I saw all the Vikings defense.

I just kind of don't want to put the Vikings out there. You don't really care about defenses that much and i can stream them but that's the one where it's like i'd like to kind of like keep them forever because they're just monsters so probably go them.

Still all right awesome let's do it and now my second question i gotta make a room on my bench to pull sharpening off do i uh off of ir do i drop i i can't i don't think i can get it two for one to make room but do i drop steven i'm not dropping stevenson emmanuel wilson henderson I'm not dropping Jeremiah Love. McGowan, that's pretty much it.

So to make room, or do I drop Charbonnet and hold on to one of these guys? Emmanuel Wilson, Henderson, Trevion Henderson, or McGowan?

Oh, man. Thank you for the questions, Overcome. That is the tough one there. I kind of wish you could not have to, by the way. activate him because I think he's going to, I just don't know if he plays again.

Wait as long as, well, I would first of all, wait as long as possible to actually have to make a drop. Um, even if you have an illegal lineup, as long as you don't get penalized for until Sunday comes, I mean, cause you could see Jonathan Taylor get traded before Sunday. So I would number one, wait as long as you can for, before you feasibly have to make the roster move. That being said, I'm going to probably cut McGowan. I don't want to, but you can't, you can't cut Wilson. And then, I mean, I guess Wilson, you could cut if you just are confident that Charbonnet is going to come back because the Charbonnet does come back, then you would, then Wilson's going to be a guy cut next week. Right. So yeah, but it's obviously risky.

So I actually, no, no, sorry. Go ahead.

No, I just, I hate it. I like, I gotta be honest with you. There's a part of me that, thinks maybe the answer is Charbonnet at that point, just because, like, I mean, McGowan is a nothing burger if Taylor doesn't get traded. Really feels like he does, and then he becomes the number one in an offense. Charbonnet's not going to...

I just don't think Charbonnet, with the health stuff, is going to be the number one on that team at any point this season, because Jadarian Price is almost there.

At any point this season?

I think Jadarian Price is coming back. Emmanuel Wilson has been good.

Like.

Well, so maybe it's then... you got to pick a Seahawks running back, right? Who do you want to ride with? Charbonnet or Wilson? I would ride with Charbonnet because the team just is overly obsessed with him. And because think about this, right? If Wilson comes back or if Charbonnet comes back this week, because again, if he's out again, you don't have to move him off his injured reserve.

You still don't know if he's going to actually play. So again, going back to wait as long as you can before having to actually make a move because there's a chance that Charbonnet still doesn't play and you don't actually have to drop any of these guys.

Which is the best case scenario.

Yeah, best case scenario, but it's good to talk through it because if that's not the case, then I would just dump Emmanuel Wilson because if Charbonnet comes back and Jadarian Price comes back, who are you going to be dumping next week? Emmanuel Wilson versus McGowan where there's a chance that his value just skyrockets immediately. if Taylor gets moved Wilson, I think that his value can only go down, right?

Cause these running backs are going to come back at some point. So I think I would try to get ahead of it. So even though you could get burned, if Wilson ends up getting the bell cow workload against the bears who again, now they have Jeffrey Simmons. So the matchup is not as good. So want to point that out as well. That's kind of my lean there.

So I think you, you work with that.

Yeah.

You worked it out really well. Like, In an ideal world, we would just say McGowan, but you just can't. I've been advocating since the waiver show. The waiver show on Monday with Fitzy and Seeley, I looked and McGowan was 7.5% rostered. Everybody should have picked him up. Everybody should... Actually, I think we were talking about this on the rank show when waivers had run, so maybe that was it, where waivers had already run and you would potentially have open moves.

You should just pick up McGowan just for the sake... You just can't cut him right now. It's just that I think, I think you said it better. Good breakdown. It's a, it really is a tough one. And it's an, I mean, it's, it's the best case scenario. Be thankful that you're dealing with those types of situations where it's just all the moves. They just hurt you instead of just, they're all gross. I'd rather have that.

All right.

More questions coming up here. I want to talk to you guys about poly market. Basketball season is here and a new way you can trade on it is with the new prediction market, poly market, poly market. It's a prediction market. It's a stock exchange for sports buying in and selling out on your terms. They're so confident you're never going to go back to the other guys. All right.

Um.

What the. Majestic Rhino, Rhino. I have to tell, I don't know how to say that name, but Rhino is next up. As long as you accept, you accept our bidding to enter the stage and speak. There you go. How do I say this name? Majestic, majestic Rhino.

Oh, there you go.

You got it.

I've just brain dumb sometimes when we're doing this. And as I said, I'm like, Oh, it's majestic Rhino. I'm an idiot. What's up, dude. What do you got?

Well, I got, uh, two for you one's a quick one this week do i start in a flex spot coker or michael.

Wilson sorry there's a question oh yeah sorry in the chat all right.

All right now here's the here's the fun one i'm a part of this uh super flex league that has a rule that you're only ever allowed to hold two quarterbacks at one time Unless one is officially on IR, not just eligible for your IR spot. Can't be out, has to be physically on IR. Kind of stupid. Anyway, I rode Bryce Young in the beginning of the year as my QB2. And looking at his schedule upcoming in his last performance, I dropped him for Sam Darnold, who has a decent schedule moving forward. But also Malik Willis is available. So essentially, my question is, do I just continue streaming with the always, at all times, eight quarterbacks available?

Or do I pick one Malik Willis or Sam Darnold rest of the season?

I know you love you some. Thank you for the question. I know you love you some Malik Willis this week, Erickson.

I do like Malik Willis. I do like Sam Darnold, though. His rest of the season schedule is really good. And they upgraded the offensive line, bringing Quinton Nelson.

So.

Can he only have one of those guys? I think the streaming thing might work, to be honest. I think that if those guys are available and you can play matchups, there's a lot of quarterbacks that are kind of in that fringe QB1, QB2 tier that you can kind of piecemeal together productive outings. I like Malik Willis this week as just a rusher in general, but he's got a lot of good matchups coming up after this week. But Darnold has the Bears this week, so if you don't want to worry about is Malik Willis going to run or not, I think he will, but No one on the Bears can cover JSN. No one on the planet can cover JSN. And it's crazy because you think Sam Darnold would put up better fantasy numbers because JSN is

just dominating every single week, but then he's not. That being said, I think that Darnold feels like pretty safe. So I'm cool with that. I'm not sure we answered the question exactly. I'm glad that this is the direction that they're going in.

Yeah, I think you answered the question. By the way, I asked Bogman this the other day. If I ask you, who is the best wide receiver in the NFL? Do you answer without question, JSN?

Yeah.

Okay.

I'm just interested if people will accept that.

No, no, he said it instantly. And like, I guess, I think people get caught up in like the Jamar Chase stuff and the physicality and how incredible he is. And you think of Puka, but it's just like, JSN is in another world. And I just am curious when you ask that question, if people are comfortable saying JSN, and that's now two people that have like, who's the best wide receiver in the world? And you're like, JSN. Yeah, I don't have to think much about it. I think that's super interesting.

Yeah. And I don't know. Obviously, there are going to be people that disagree and will have arguments for some of the other guys because there are a lot of really good and elite wide receivers in the NFL. But what is JSN not doing in terms of the numbers say he's the best?

You know what it reminds me of?

I just say he's the best.

I'll change the tone of it. It reminds me and it's definitely like it shows my age a little bit. And then it also it shows an age gap of like I think people in their 30s. If you go like who's the best wide receiver in the world? If you're smart and you have a brain, you say Jerry Rice. But if you're under 35 and you didn't watch Jerry Rice and you're a little bit stupider, you say Randy Moss.

And the joking aside. One of the reasons you also say that is from a physicality standpoint, you look at a guy like Randy Moss and you're like, this guy's a freak. He could do anything. He could jump one-handed. But Jerry Rice didn't have some of those. He was an incredible route runner. He got open. He made the plays, catches, da-da-da.

I think JSN has the Jerry Rice feel to Jamar Chase having the Randy Moss feel in that Jamar Chase is just an absolute, from a physicality, if you were building a wide receiver, you would probably build Jamar Chase. But JSN is the best wide receiver. The route running's insane. That's what that reminds me of. What is your brain level when I ask you Jerry Rice or Randy Moss, greatest receiver of all time?

That's usually the order I would go in is Jerry Rice, Randy Moss, and then my number three is T.O. I put T.O.

Up there.

I don't know if I know who my number three is.

Monster.

I think it's also the order of the amount of touchdowns I scored because Jerry Rice has, I think, over 200.

No, no position player will ever catch, which is literally insane.

And then you have Moss and Tio who are in like the one 50 range, which is ludicrous. Think about that. These guys are second and third in my all time receiver rankings. And there are more than 50 touchdowns behind the guy.

That's first.

Yeah. I, I mean, someone said Calvin in there. I think Calvin is like part of that discussion. It's not Chris Carter, but like, that's, I guess a little bit my era of like thinking like Chris Carter was fricking dominant when he was out there, but he's not in that range. I don't know if I know who the number, I mean, I grew up watching T.O. and I liked T.O., but I just don't know if I'd Put him in the third best receiver of all time. By the way, a crazy thing about T.O., he looks like he could go play right now. Have you seen him recently? He is so physically locked. He has a place in my brain, one of my core memories. My core is of football.

I've got a few insanely core memories, and one of them is in my bedroom. I had a Niner blanket on me, and he catches that pass in the end zone and gets slammed by three Packers or whatever, and he's crying. He gets a touchdown, and I just jump up and freak out. That is a core memory of mine. I just don't know if I could put him at number three.

All three of those guys played for the 49ers. They did.

Wide receiver, you. All the greats, you played for the Niners. But yeah, that would be maybe like a way I would describe the Chase and Jason thing. Sorry, I took us off on it. tangent but always curious and i know that people have some thoughts on it i'm actually way more interested in talking about the third best receiver of all time who that is i think that's a really fun discussion but for another time uh devo what's up by devo didn't you have my favorite line pepper in the.

Wi-fi yeah i was gonna say i'll take my two percent royalties on that t-shirt.

Brother um all time one of the best lines in the chat in a long time i love you.

Man thank you thank you Okay, I got two questions, a trade question and a bit of an overall strategy question. Trade question, in talks with a guy, do I trade away Michael Wilson and Casey Concepcion for Colson Loveland and Jordan Tyson? Both those guys are on my bench, by the way. My current tight end is Harold Fannin.

Wait, who are you trading again?

I'm getting rid of Michael Wilson and Casey Concepcion. And you're getting Tyson and Loveland? Tyson and then Colson Loveland.

And then what would your wide receiver core look like?

My current receiver core for that team is, it's pretty stacked. It's A.J. Brown, Drake. Yeah, I wasn't starting. I have A.J. Brown, Drake London, and then I have Matthew Golden.

I just don't, I don't love it. Because of the pieces you're giving up. But I guess if you're not starting them and you're doing a big upgrade at tight end, I think that's interesting. What do you think, Erickson?

I think the upgrade at tight end. I think we as a market, the Royal We, maybe we're downplaying Loveland's recent resurgence.

Sure.

Because think about this before the season started. You'd be looking at Loveland. You're getting him for two bench receivers.

Great point.

Elite tight end. This is it. Layup.

It was a smash.

Yeah.

So, and again, I'm not trying to say that I'm different from the mark because I think we're all kind of, we're like, what is Loveland, right? Is he an elite tight end or is he a matchup tight end? But he's been really good over the last couple of games, even though he had a bunch of drops against the Patriots, he still ended up having a really productive game. You're starting to see him become that elite tight end that we were drafting, even though it was a slow start to the season. So yeah, I think I can get behind this. And the fact that you get Tyson thrown in as a flyer where, Look, he could be nothing, but worst case scenario is you're upgrading your tight end with bench players, right? So I think this kind of

goes back to the idea behind a lot of these trades where are you improving your starting roster? And that works for both ways because the team that's getting these receivers might actually, I mean, I think it's good that you're not just trading like garbage pieces, right? Wilson has value. Concepcion is coming off a monster game. Like he's fun.

You want to have him on your team, but you're getting Loveland, who I think is an upgrade over Fanon. And if he continues on this trajectory, then he could be a top five fantasy tie down the rest of the way.

Yeah.

And I think the main point too, is the construction of like, this is around the time where you really want to start consolidating to make that best starting lineup that you possibly can. So you can trade from depth. What was your other question?

Yeah.

So I'm two and five in my 12 team. I keep, just facing the high week every week uh i'll i'll drop my team in the chat what are your guys's thoughts just kind of an overall tough luck with your schedule but you feel like your team's good on paper uh i mean do you think i should try to move some pieces i just hold on and kind of hope the high week stop.

You're not really lying he's got uh trevor lawrence kyron tootin and then amandra watson aj brown uh i mean your tight ends kind of stink or whatever but they're doable um Yeah, I kind of agree. This is one of those where I look and I'm like, well, that's not a two and five team, but things just didn't work out. Any thoughts on something you would do? I mean, doesn't have like he has no running back depth whatsoever.

You've got a little bit of plethora of wide receivers, I guess. If you could consolidate and maybe take like an A.J. Brown or a Watson and then get a better running back and then just maybe like a little slight uptick on wide receiver, that would be good. Because if Ladd bounces back, you cover yourself. He could be better than A.J. Brown in theory. So that's probably the move that I'm making because of your running back depth.

But what do you think, Erickson?

I think I agree with you. I think trying to add a running back, because you only have two guys that you can really rely on in any capacity between Kyron and Bashal Tootin. So that's the angle I would look at. But You just had some bad luck, right? Trevor Lawrence had his bye week. You lost Amon Ra during his bye week. You lost Tootin during his bye week.

I'm sure that this person lost last week probably, right? Because the Jaguars were on a bye. That's your starting quarterback in your RB2. And you had Mahomes. So you had to play Mahomes in his worst week that he could possibly draw against the Seattle Seahawks. So it's going to be hard to combat when your quarterback doesn't get into the red zone. So it's tough for you to win those types of weeks. But Antonio Williams we're excited about.

Rest of season, A.J. Brown, you know, if he can get healthy, he should be able to be productive. Lad, he's healthy. He can produce a little bit here. So I think that you don't blow it up. But if you want to trade one of those receivers for a running back, I think that's probably the move.

I'd be open to like an A.J. Brown for equivalent running back. Or like I said, if you had to take a Watson, you could probably get like good ish running back and then maybe like another solid wide receiver and a two for one. So those would be the two pieces I would do. You also, if you're two and five, be a little bit, you can be a little bit more comfortable like blowing things up a little bit more. Probably don't want to trade a Monroe St. Brown, but like you wanted to trade off a running back and a wide receiver and a two for three. Like I'm probably playing around. You got to make a move now.

Like I don't know if you can go two and six or any more. So those would, that would be the direction that we would be looking at.

All right.

Get some more question from Dub Bears. Premium member on the Fantasy Pros Discord. Must be feeling pretty, pretty good after the Jeffrey Sims trade that just happened. But disappeared. So I don't see it.

All right.

Let's see if this works again. Let's invite you back up.

Da Bears. Going once.

Da Bears. Da Bears. Da Bears.

Do you remember that? Did you ever see that?

Da Bears.

Who is in that?

My dad.

Name me one person.

My dad.

Name me one person that was in one of those skits.

His name is escaping me.

I'm sorry.

Well, there's multiple hymns.

I i'm bad with names me too me too all right the bears we can't hear you.

Yeah we can't we can't you're not you have to accept coming up on the stage try it again uh.

Farley oh yeah yeah there you go there you go see i knew it was in it was in there yes i know it there's so much pepper up here man.

All right vinny what's up vinny premium member on the discord what you got no dice uh well if you request to come up again uh i will it accept it but you have to accept it and Vinny is also having issues some of the newer people having issues so Vinny come back up re-raise your hand and um I am noticing when I try to invite to bears it looks weirder it doesn't look like normal let me see if I can do this invite to speak I just right clicked it let's see if that works if not there must be a setting in there that's uh that's not working for you brother you might have to change that which I don't think it is all right let's go to Ronan what was that Ronan.

Hey, gentlemen.

What you got?

Nope.

I got a twofer.

So my team's in the chat. The first one is I got a last place team appears to be pretty desperate, and they're offering me a St.

Brown for my quorum and Boston. I've got a lot.

Of five-week stuff to get through, but should I just go ahead and scoop this up or just hold my depth?

I would take it.

I would immediately take it. I would send him in edible arrangements after too.

Those are the ones where you don't, you do like a quick double check to make sure, did Amon Ross, Amon Ross St. Brown like get hurt or something? Just like double check. I know he actually is like dealing with an injury. He should be okay though. But yeah. I would take this before they take it back.

Yeah, before they stop drinking.

Before they leave the.

S'mores party that we're about to have. So, all right.

That was a good deal.

Yeah, take it.

The second one is, I was able to pick up the Minnesota defense, and they did well for me last week, but the rest of the schedule is pretty bad. Do I just hold on to them no matter what, or do I try to offer them to somebody for assets?

If you can trade a defense to get anything... I.

Don't think I've ever seen a defense get traded in the league that I play in.

Well, there was that one year where the Patriots defense was just unreal to start the season. And you saw it. It was like a top 10 score for the first nine weeks of the season. And people were trading legitimate players to get the Patriots DST. And it was because they had a really easy schedule. They just totally annihilated every quarterback that they faced. But yeah, flip the defense forever. Anything, because as we talked about in a couple different shows this year, or this week, they have had a really easy schedule to start the season. So the Lions are the best offense they've faced. Obviously, it doesn't mean that they can't still deliver. They're still a really good defense with Flores calling the shots, but it may be tougher sledding,

as Ronan alluded to, with tougher matchups coming up.

Yeah, I love the idea of trading a defense, but yeah. All right, let's try a few of our friends again. Let's try Vinny. Let's see if this works for Vinny. Oh, I see Vinny. What's up, Vinny?

How are you guys doing?

Good.

I've been a big fan. I always catch you guys on the YouTube Wednesday channel. So I appreciate you taking my invite.

Oh, thanks brother. I'm glad you came over and hung out with us.

That's a good support.

Yeah, exactly.

Appreciate it. So I have two questions for you. First one might be an easy one. I lost Dylan Hurst to the injury, of course, and the medical issue. So I've been streaming this week. Do you start Kyler Murray or should I just go pick up Kirk Cousins or like a, I.

Was more Kyler than you this week on the ranks episode, Erickson. I feel like I couldn't get you going a little bit, but like everything seems to be in like a really good spot for him to jam.

Kyler?

Kyler.

But I feel like he's been in good spots to jam and he hasn't turned on the mic. He has not sung the songs that we want him to sing and jammed out.

You know I'm not doing Cousins. I'm not doing Cousins. I think Cousins might not end the game. I told you we did this on Tailgate. I think Mendoza could be the quarterback next week. I think Cousins could not finish up this game.

No, that's not this week.

But I think Mendoza could play some this week. I would go Geno before I go Cousins. but I'm going Kyler because rushing upside is still there. So, I mean, he should be better. He a hundred percent should be better.

I agree. He's rushed for 39 yards, at least in the last two games. And he still has not been a top fifth, top 12 quarterback. I just, Kirk Cousins leads the NFL in passing touchdowns. He's facing the jets.

Oh yeah. It is a six P a six point touchdown.

Oh, okay. That changes it a little bit, but I, I don't know. I'm, That's a really tough one. Go with Erickson on this.

I like Kirk. I mean, I like Kirk.

He's bottom of my list there.

Would you keep, I also have Tyler Shuck. Would you even keep him going forward or would you just stream all the way with Sam Darnold or Bo Nix's of the world? Or even Cousins, I guess.

Well, to Welsh's point, Kirk Cousins doesn't, he may not have a lot of value rest of season. So again, if you're looking for an answer rest of season, I think Darnold would actually be the best answer here. because he's facing the Bears, which is a good matchup this week, and then you can kind of keep rolling with him, whereas Cousins, you run to the issue of, okay, he was great this week, but now I need a new quarterback again, because I do agree with Welsh that this could be the last game that he plays, and if he does play bad, then Mendoza's going to be in the game, and once they go to Mendoza, there's no going back to Kirk Cousins. So if you want more of a long.

Oh, yeah, yeah, sorry. I didn't mean to jump on you, but yeah, Darnold.

Yeah, Darnold, Geno. Geno has some tougher matchups, I think, after this week, but.

Yeah, I wasn't going to long-term Gino. I was going to Gino for this game. They got their pieces back. Brace Hall does good in the passing game. They've got three viable receivers right now. Mason Taylor. Like I think they're in a stride and the Raiders defense, not great. And I mean, Gino just put up 200 plus and touchdown.

Like I actually think Gino is like a decent streaming option, but he's not a guy that I want to hold on to. I just have a hard time letting go of like a Kyler in this, even though he can be disappointing because the rushing ups, it's the same vibe of like, you have Malik Willis at like 12 this week. It's like, well, against Detroit, why can't Kyler, you know, run those little legs all around?

I think rest of season, if you want to answer both those questions, Darnold has the bears, Cardinals Raiders next three weeks. That is. So if, if we're kind of negligible on this week where like cousins, like Gino, like Darnold, I don't think any of us would be like, Oh, No, this guy is clearly so much better. I think that they're all in the same tier. Welsh, would you agree?

Kind of like pocket passer, streamer guys. But with Darnold, you have the additional more of a long-term asset. I think that would be the move to just get Darnold in there, ride him for the next couple games, and then figure out quarterback in a couple weeks.

Did you have another one? I don't remember.

I just had Shuck on my bench. So, like, do you hold on to Shuck after his bye week? He could be a starter going forward or just pivot to a Darnold, which I was thinking of pivoting to Darnold.

Yeah, I think with all those guys, you just pivot.

Okay, last question for you guys. Sorry, last question. If you had to cut a player, because... I have Fairbairn on. I need a kicker in this one. This league has a kicker. So I was trying to hold on to Fairbairn. People say I'm crazy. But I need to cut a player to add a kicker this week. Would you cut Kamara?

Who else do I have? Kamara, Marv, or just... Who was it?

No, you got to cut the kicker. I had the same thing. I had Bates in a bunch of leagues. Just cut him. You got to cut the kicker. Doesn't matter who it is.

A lot of times these kickers don't even get picked up anyway.

Or I can cut Shuck. Or I cut Shuck because he's on buy anyway.

Uh, that's actually, if it's important to you to keep the kicker, um, then Chuck, we've already kind of determined. And if you're already going to let loose, you could do that. But like, I just let everybody know I got the kicker. It doesn't matter what high equity I've got. I mean, maybe in the Aubrey days of a couple of years ago, that was a little bit of a different discussion, but there's nobody that I'm going to hold on to on a week to week. But let's please let somebody use a waiver wire priority on a kicker.

Yeah.

And a lot of the times too, um, you can just get them back.

Yeah, I did.

Because you may feel that you're prioritizing this kicker, but no one else in your league is actually paying attention to, oh, they dropped Will Reichert. I got to pick him up where he's just... No one has picked him up yet or something along those lines. So, yeah, don't sweat over holding on to the kicker. But if you're going to dump Shuck anyway, then... I think he'd be the guy that you can just dump off.

Peace out, Chuck. All right, a couple more questions. But before we do, have you downloaded the Fantasy Pros app?

All right, let's try Da Bears again. Yeah, see, Da Bears, when I try to hit invite you to speak, it doesn't click. So I don't know if there's a setting and it's only you. So you must have a setting you've got to change to accept. We want to speak to you, but we cannot. So let's go to Catalyst.

Hey, guys.

Thanks for having me on. And I got to say, as far as the three wide receiver to be, I have it as Jerry Rice.

Calvin Johnson, and Larry Fitzgerald.

Larry. Oh my God. No catalyst. Thank you. That I knew there was. And you know, what's so disgusting about that is Larry just got like inducted into the Arizona, you know, Cardinals hall of fame. And like, I used to work at sports radio out here in Phoenix when Larry was just coming up and, and, One of the most graciously nice people, and he is still to this day.

That's my number three. And I could not register it. Thank you. I mean, that's interesting. You don't have Randy in the top three. Larry is, without question, my number three. Because he was a great blocker early year. I mean, he really fell off in the later years on his route running and separation. But he was a great route runner.

He was a great blocker. He was a complete wide receiver. No doubt number three.

Good call.

Yeah.

It definitely sucks.

That's a great poll. Larry Fitzgerald. I can't believe I didn't even, I'm just looking. Cause I didn't even know. I didn't even realize. So he is second all time in catches. He's second all time in yards. And he played for one team the entire time. Arizona Cardinals.

He was absolutely incredible.

Yeah. Yeah.

That's a, that's a great call out.

Yeah.

I just wish he had that ring.

Gosh.

Yeah.

I mean, I'm a Niner fan. I'm glad to see that.

Hey, Moss doesn't have a ring. Fitzgerald doesn't. Or T.O. doesn't have a ring. So Jerry Rice has like a.

Million of them.

You know who's got quite a few rings? You know who could give everybody a ring? Jerry Rice. He could give them all a ring. And he'd still be flush with his four. Because, yeah, I think in 82 was the one. Yeah, so he's got four rings. Sorry, go ahead.

Oh, yeah.

Thanks.

So I wanted to touch base as far as my rebuild dynasty. So our drafts is decided by our max points for. And so far, I'm at the bottoms. But I'm worried because my the second place is trending down really hard. And I feel like by end of year, he's going to get one on one. And I just stuck with one or two. So as far as things are right now, if it turns out, I get 102, 106, and 111 for next year's draft.

And I just want to know, what's the best way to carry myself?

Because I just can't out-tank this guy.

Wait, what? I got lost on that. What's the best way to what?

How to carry myself through the rest of the season, just because this is a guy I can't out-tank.

Oh, out-tank.

And also, I'd rather... Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Okay, yeah.

Yeah, I know.

I know you're tip and towing around this issue of like, You want to suck bad, but you can't tank. You can't not set your lineups and stuff like that. I mean, I would say the best way is to put guys like Travion Henderson and Jalen Waddle in your lineup. That's the best way to not score points and not be competitive whatsoever. Maybe guys like J.K. Dobbins, but... Yeah, I mean, I don't... Like, that's a really, really tough one. You gotta make the wrong decisions. You gotta go in the crazy streaming stuff. How could you tank without, like, showing your tanking, Erickson? Besides getting Jalen Watson.

Just tune into the Ranked Show with me, Welsh, and Fitz, and we'll... We'll take your team right away. Obviously, just joking around. I would say... Man... I hate this mindset where you're trying to lose.

But he wants a 1-1.

He wants a 1-1, baby. I know, but is the 1-1, is it just Jeremiah Smith? Is that the lock? But aren't there like a lot of quarterbacks in this class? What if it's Superflex? Jeremiah Smith.

Jeremiah Smith. Sorry, Jeremiah Love. I don't want Jeremiah Love. He's been stank.

Well, then maybe trade the 1-0-2 then for Jeremiah Love right now. I don't know.

We can't. He's trying to get the 1-0-1. Or did he say you got.

To lose harder? I don't I don't really know how to give advice here where maybe trade all your best players to the teams that the other team is facing and try to get their teams better.

Oh, maybe look at like really tough matchups for like the playoffs, like the next run and try to get those players out there. That's a tough one. I mean, I got to be honest with you. That's a very unique question of like, how do I suck more without showing that I'm doing it? And it's just like, you got to, you got to put out the questionable lineups, but you got to start your line. You got, you got to have a good league.

I do it.

No, it's funny too, because you could probably put up a lineup. Like I did last week in the Yahoo, in our insiders league where I had to start Darnell Washington and Sean Tucker. Guess we both scored touchdowns last week.

You didn't quite do on that. That's our, the tags league.

Yeah, Tagzy.

Yeah, yeah.

Where, I think? Yeah, I beat Alan. I beat Alan.

I have to say, Alan. I think you and I are both, because I won last week, too. I think we're both near the top. Well, not the top, but we're both in the playoff hunt, which is very, very important. Unfortunately, I don't think Worm is with us. All right, we got a couple more here. I'm going to save to Bears for last to see if he's got that fix.

Let's go to Scott. Scott's been waiting. What's up, Scott?

Hey, how's it going, guys? Good, dude.

How are you doing? No, I'm all right.

I should be worse than I am, actually, probably based on my records. I'm one in six. It's a redraft league.

It's PPR.

And I'm kind of having a hard time getting around this trade that I was thinking about offering to the guy.

He wants JT and Parker Washington.

I have, just to lay out my running backs and receivers, I have JT, Jordan Mason, Blake Corum, Kalon Black as my running backs. And then Nico Collins, Parker Washington, Jalen Coker, and Ladin McConkie. I have a couple other ones on the bench, but they're more further down the line. Those are the valuable ones.

He wants your two best players.

He wants, yeah. Well, not my two best players. Well, actually, it depends on who you ask because I would consider them my two best players. He wants JT and Parker Washington. And I'm really hesitant to give up Washington because of what I think is going to happen down the stretch. Um, but I do need some running back depth because I have zero be pretty much beyond Jordan Mason and JT. Uh, so he was thinking about, he, he offered me Kyron Williams, uh, Quinn Sean Jenkins and, uh, Matthew Golden.

And I said, no. And then I told him afterwards, I'd think about sending another offer.

My only issue is after I looked at, uh, Kyron Williams and Jacob's, By week, they both have 11 by weeks. So my two best running backs would be on by, and then probably my second best receiver would be on by.

And I can't lose another game if I'm in the playoffs.

Yeah, you can't afford another game.

So I'm really wrapping my head around whether I should actually send it to them. Or should I just stay with JT and Parker Washington?

I don't think you should stay. You're one in six. I don't think you should stay with anything.

Could you get– I've been trying to make trades the whole time.

No one will.

Could you trade JT for Kyron and Golden?

No, he wants Parker Washington too.

He's selfish.

Well, then you won't get– you won't take Judkins out of the deal. So like he's.

Not a partner anymore.

Right, right.

He wants Parker Washington in that trade.

Does he have another running back or is he just– those are his two starters?

There's baseball too.

He's got baseball tootin', but I doubt, I really doubt he would trade him because he traded for him a couple weeks ago.

I mean, screw this guy. He needs to trade. If he wants Parker Washington and JT, I think Kyron Tootin' and Golden is what you should fight for. You say, this is what I'm doing.

Yeah.

Erickson?

All right. Yeah.

Yeah, I agree.

Yeah.

All right. DeBeers?

DeBeers?

Ooh, did that work this time? No, I don't think it works.

Poor DeBears.

What is your question, DeBear? Put it in the chat so we can answer it before we get out of here.

I think that they did.

Okay, let's... Where is it? It's getting sad now that we can't get.

Trying to figure out what to do with wide receiver and flex.

Attaches my roster, league context, trying to figure... Waivers, Kendrick Bourne, Chris Rodriguez, Lloyd, Samson. Okay, so this is just like a theory question. He's starting... Jameson Williams.

He's staying lane and lemon. So two rookie receivers that are in it. Why is he from flex? Because his bench, he's got.

A doomsday on the bench and Coleman on his bench.

Um, I get benching a dude. I mean, he's facing the Seahawks.

So I don't, I would.

Say over to Kobe lane though, but that's me.

Um, I mean, I'm, I, I'm pretty indifferent with, with that in particular, Jonah Coleman on the bench. Yeah, I mean, actually, I mean, yeah, like Odunze probably you want to start over Lane. That's what the star assistant is also saying to play Odunze over Lane. And Odunze is definitely going to be ranked higher than Lane is. So I think I'd probably change that. You're also the Bears. You're going to fade your own team with Roman Odunze after all those great catches he made. Again, the drop in the end zone was terrible, but then he bounced back.

And Wetherspoon should be locked. They should be paying attention to burden, heavy attention to burden. This is a good Odunze spot.

Yeah, so Adunze in at receiver. Would you do Lemon or Lane then in the flex?

If Devonta Smith is active, I actually might go.

Lemon seems like he's got a little connection going with McKee, which is not nothing. I think it's probably Lemon.

I'm not 100% sold. Jacoby Lane makes these awesome, cool plays, but I'm not 100% sold because Lamar Jackson's going to go in. He's going to see a big target share. Lamar's going to just stare at their flowers all day.

And that's going to be, I would agree. Um, and then no one on waivers is doing it for you. Born Rodriguez, Lloyd Sampson, QJ Bateman.

Born's interesting, but not more than the guys that you have. So that's, I think who's a starting tight end.

He's got Goddard in there. Um, that's yeah. It's the highest ranked tight end. So yeah, I think, yeah, it would be a lemon and Odunze.

Okay.

Uh, final one here. Frankie was sub Frankie. Come on down. Maybe.

All right.

What's up, dude?

How you doing guys?

Hold on.

I have a question. Why is your logo, the Cowboys, the Rams and the Seahawks like meshed painting together?

Uh, so I do, uh, that's from Chad, Chad TVT. I, uh, I, uh, run two, uh, Madden leagues, uh, uh, and, uh, and.

I'm in a third. So I kind of like have it all meshed together. So they know who I am.

Oh, okay.

So it's not an only franchise.

I just needed to know. I'm like, what's the connection with the, I saw the Rams and the Seahawks.

I was like, I'm a Cowboys fan personally. You see, uh, I am a Cowboys fan personally, but, uh, I hate to say it out loud, but yeah.

All right.

Sorry.

So now, now that I have, what's your question?

So I got two questions.

Am I, uh, my, you know, my standard PPR, uh, a big league, I call it, and I have a super flex question as well, but, uh, my standard league, uh, Well, it's not standard.

It's PPR, but it's my big league. I have Braylon Allen. Do I keep riding Allen, or do I.

I'm not sure of the Eagles' backfield situation. I do have Mitchell I picked up just to get to the Eagles, and then I also have Dylan Sampson. But besides that, that's all I have. I have a running back this week because Scadaboo's out on by, but he's literally my number.

Two right now. Scadaboo. And then the next question would be.

Would you start Brighton Strange as Flex or Antonio Williams from the rookie receiver from the Commanders?

Frankie dropping. Frankie, this is early in the show.

S's and G's.

I absolutely would have dumped you from this call, Frankie. You absolutely cursed on this, which you cannot do. Start Braylon Allen.

That's easy.

You love Strange this week. Don't you ever have fun?

I do love Strange this week. Colts are terrible against tight ends. He's been more involved the last couple games. I also really like Antonio Williams, too, so I am slightly torn here, but I think I will go with Strange.

I think Antonio Williams is my play this week.

No.

I have questioned myself that I do wonder if Traylon Burks is going to do the McLaurin thing and then nothing really changes with Williams. That's what I'm a little bit concerned about.

Couldn't Burks, that mean just he gets the Quinion Mitchell treatment and just gets kind of like sacrificed?

Yeah, no, 100%. Yeah, like what the Cardinals were doing, like Jalen Brooks and stuff like that. 100%. I think that is a likely, but I just don't know. I just am not 100% sure, but. Antonio Williams is like the best player there, so I kind of want to vibe on him.

Has he moved in ECR since we did our show? Because I know he was really, really well. I'm just kind of curious.

Yeah, let's look. He was 36 at one point. He is now, gee, he moved down, dude, 40. He moved down to 30.

Why does he keep moving? What are we missing here?

He just keeps going down.

Are we missing something here?

On Tuesday, he was 36. Wednesday, he went to 39. Now this is Thursday. He's 40. He keeps going down. I.

Why? I don't get it, man.

I don't either.

Are we misreading the situation?

Are we taking crazy bills? I don't know. I'm going to go Antonio Williams.

That's going to be- This is how we get all in the top three. We all rank Antonio Williams. Top 24, we just lock and load.

There we go. All right, Madhouse stuff. Reminder, don't ask Thursday's questions, and please don't curse on the podcast, but we love you. We absolutely love you guys. It's all good. You definitely said it in a totally nonchalant, because you said apologies in the chat. You were definitely saying it and just talking. You're talking with the bros, and you know what? Can't hate on you.

S's and G's, man.

We can't hate on you for talking to us like we're all buddies. Because we are buddies. So there's no hate there.

We love you guys.

Hopefully you guys want to come and hang out with us more. If you're listening on the podcast, go to fantasybros.com slash chat. That'll get you in the Fantasy Bros Discord. There's an extra point room. You can come hang out with us. And when you're on the Discord, by the way, you'll be notified if we do crazy stuff like this and we just pop in and We do it an hour later or whatever. So make sure you guys come and check us out on the Discord. Make sure you download the app. And that's it. Erickson and I will be doing the betting show. Hopefully you come and hang out with us. But that's all we got, Erickson. S'mores and drinks are in tow. So we got to get out of here. It's like 11 a.m. my time. I

cannot partake in this. This is ridiculous. But we got to go because we got to go party with people. We love you guys. Thank you so much for hanging out with us. Extra point.

It's good.
