Hello ladies and gentlemen welcome back to the gimmick the podcast wrestling podcast key first set you get two episodes a month win we never know nowadays but you get two of them a month and you get a gmo which we'll be back at some point i am as usual the canadian nightmare and i'm joined by the black arrow forever david how's it going.
It's going good.
Sorry, everybody.
Like I said, punting last week was all on me. I was having a lot of family stuff and travel issues and just a combination of things. It got crazy, but I'm so grateful that we were able to punt to this week and still make things happen.
And with the punt to this week.
Some very important stuff we get to talk about now that we would have missed out on.
Yeah, exactly. It's not like a good thing to punt because obviously like with the, not saying, oh, it's good we get to talk about, but in this way where we would have wanted to have some conversations about that, which we'll get into in a second. But yeah, any one-star reviews for Missing a Week can be directed at David.
It's not open, but you can message him. And then we're joined by Death Riders for life as pubs.
How's it going?
You're right. You're already, when we started this podcast, you were a big Moxley defender. Now, you know, he's a... Death Riders ain't going anywhere. They're going to be around. They're going to be around until this podcast. They're going to be past this podcast, you know?
Yeah.
But, yeah.
So, today we got a good show. We got lots of things to talk about.
What we're going to do is in order.
It's our.
We talked about this the last few weeks. We're going to do our gimmick draft shake-up.
So.
we have people and wrestlers drafted like a NFL or any type of sports draft and we do shakeups every kind of quarterly, drop some people, add some people, etc. We time them for big events because obviously new signings, call-ups, injuries, people just not showing up. Lots of things can change with rosters and we usually time it for Money in the Bank, which is next week. Next week, there will not be an episode. We haven't talked about this yet, but next week's Canadian Thanksgiving, so I would not be around at all. So what we, I was thinking what we might do is two weeks from now, we are going to be doing, if it all works out on hopefully the Friday, our Street Fighter review, so maybe we'll kind of do a doubleheader where we'll review Street Fighter,
but then any other, we'll tell them anything, but any other big wrestling news and predictions we'll cover, because I think we'll probably predict some WrestleDream stuff, so I think that's what we're going to do is in two weeks from now, you're going to get a hybrid where we're going to talk about Street Fighter because, you know, got some wrestlers in there, and then we're going to talk whatever wrestling news is around, and then a GMO we'll figure out, but I just know with the Canadian Thanksgiving, I'll be running around. So we got that, and then we're going to go Money in the Bank predictions and WWE talk, and then we're going to talk about AEW, not like briefly, but just overall. We're not going to
do a full-on, big, all-out review, and then we're going to save the best for last. We're going to talk about the Great Man Puck, and then we're also going to do our first-ever... Watch long. We've teased this before, and it's probably a good way to start on a match that's considered well-liked and good in celebration, where in the future, we probably will do this where we have a list, and I suppose has curated of famously bad wrestling matches that people shit on. A couple that I defend, which who knows.
All of them very long so far.
Yeah, so I think we kind of have an idea when we might record that in the future and put that somewhere. But yeah, today we're going to watch Orange Cassidy versus Pac. from revolution so that'll be fun and uh yeah we got that going on but let's do the draft we always do the draft shake up first so then we don't have to tiptoe around any potential discussions like oh i think this.
Is the the tiffany strand incident of the of the first draft.
Exactly so um espos i guess what is the before we go what is the point value what's the updated ross what's the updated numbers and then we'll get the points or sorry updated points we'll get the rosters and then we'll go around and do our drops and everything All right.
I am at 244 points total. Travis is at 382 points total. And David is at 483 points total. So we're both in the 200s and David's in the 400s? No, you're in the 300s. I'm in the 200s.
I'm 340 or something?
No, you're 382.
But David is still 100 in front of you. Yeah, well, I can explain that when we get to my roster.
Half my roster is fucking missing.
They're all gone.
Yes.
It's like, what's happening?
Oh, my God. Well, there you go, David. I think this is the first time, Dave, you've been.
This is the first time that I've been in first place, and I am going to take it.
Okay, so let's see. What is the order? It's not what you sent, right? It's a different order?
That was just the order that I have them in, but I forget for this draft if we do another wheel spin, or have we done lowest person gets to pick first? I don't remember.
Because we've done one shake-up, right? And I thought, didn't we do in the order we picked last time? But I can't remember who picked that last time. Some....
I feel like David has picked first a few times, but it might have been also because he was in last a lot of the time.
That's true.
This is true.
So I don't know if that was like a random order or if we just did that because.
Well, to keep it safe, we'll do a wheel. So we got all the classic wheel.
I actually, or first we can do a drops if you want.
Right.
Yeah.
First we can do drops.
Yes.
We know what's going on. I haven't, uh, got rid of, we still have the wheel from the geek versus we didn't do GV.
Day.
So look at this wheel right there. I don't know why it auto saves. I'm not getting rid of.
It because we might stay tuned for Extra Life coming up and do something with that.
Just do a second wheel.
Yeah, so we'll see if they do the second wheel. So, okay. So, SBubs, you can start. Who do you have on your roster? And then who are you going to be dropping?
All right. I have Eosky, Chad Gable, Penta, Javon Evans, Fallon Henley, Ray Phoenix, Montez Ford, Carmelo Hayes, Laney Reed, and Dan Housen. And JD McDonough is my jobber. uh and i'm gonna drop i'm gonna drop montez ford carmelo hayes and dan hausen.
Not penta eh you don't want to draw okay so montez ford is gone hayes is gone he said dan hausen was.
Gone right yeah you're gonna have dan.
Hausen Yeah, the Gunther match is coming up.
Just those three. Just those three.
Are they actually going to have Gunther and Dan House and wrestle? Is that going to happen?
I feel like they probably are, but I feel like it's just going to be like the Matt Cardona match where Gunther just beats him up.
I hope i worried someone back there's like well what if we get not dan i don't think that house is gonna win it's like.
The fat mcafee uh yeah yeah i definitely feel like dan house is gonna get like a like a 2.9 on on gunther like he's gonna like like uh with the pyro or.
Something yeah like or like he'll bust out some miss or he'll have like the little uh he'll be like a handicap match with dan house and all the little houses versus gunther and he's choking them all up they should do like a gauntlet where they have to run out and Man, poor Walter. David, who are you dropping?
Who you have, sorry, and then who are you dropping?
All right.
So I have Cody Rhodes, Obafemi, CM Punk, Blake Monroe, Gunther, Tiffany Stratton, Jacob Fatu, Charlotte, Baron Corbin, Dominic Mysterio, and my jobber is Austin Theory.
Baron Corbin, my God.
Okay, you keeping them all? You dropping some? What's going on?
I am going to be dropping some. So I'm dropping my jobber, Austin Theory. I've been just going on a run. So, I mean, he's been doing the opposite of jobbing. He's out here stealing someone's wife and stealing people's titles. I'm also going to drop Baron Corbin.
I think you got it.
You got the most out of him, what you could do. I don't see.
Yeah, he served his purpose. He served his purpose.
Maybe there's a tag title running there somewhere, but I think that's a little far off.
And I think that I am going to go ahead and drop Blake Monroe.
She just wrestled her first match, David.
You're going to drop her, though?
She. I don't see mileage on that, honestly. I think she's going to be one of those wrestles once a month, but she's going to be on weekly TV doing something, but she's not going to be wrestling and getting me points. I don't need someone who's just going to be on TV but not getting me points.
That does make sense. Yeah, no, it makes sense. I'm bugging him because I just happened to do the wrestle. What was, because I didn't look into, what was the finish? I saw everyone complain about the finish of the Blake-Julia match. What was the finish?
The finish was that, like, Julia was, like, going to, like, do, like, a superplex. So she's, like, on the top rope. And then Blake, like, drops down and, like, sweeps her legs. And then Julia goes, like, head first into the post and just gets, like, knocked out. And Blake, like, notices and pins her and wins. And that was the finish.
And then people thought she was really injured, or Julia was really injured, because she got, like, carried out to the back, and, like, the doctors were there. But it was just, like, there was a report that, like, yeah, that was all in the, like, plans.
I saw that. I don't know, like.
Why do people hate, I don't know, I didn't see the match, but I don't think that's, like.
The biggest problem. Yeah, it was just because, I think it was more because it was, like, abrupt, because they were having a good match, and, like, obviously it just looks like a middle of the match, like, they're going to do a superplex, and then, like, she just sweeps the leg, she gets knocked out and pinned, so it felt like an abrupt, I think it was more because the match actually was going good so far, so it was just kind of like, oh, I guess it ended, but obviously it's not going to be, like, the last match they're going to have, but, yeah.
No, no, they're going to do this to WrestleMania, they're going to get the big show and whatnot, but Okay, no, fair enough. It is crazy, because I know everyone's making the jokes, but it's like, man, in two years, we could have Ricky Starks and Mariah Mae back, you know?
It's looked more clear than ever.
Hey, Ricky 1-2 on SmackDown.
He just won, so Phoenix can beat him later on. And even then, does he really want to be the AAA Cruiserweight Champion? I don't know, man. All right, so I'm going to list off my roster. You've probably forgotten most of these people.
Because a lot of them are gone off weekly programming.
But I have Rhea Ripley, Roman Reigns, Braun Breaker, Liv Morgan, Trick Williams, Seth Rollins, Chasey Jane, Sol Ruka.
Jade Cargill, Matt Cardona, and my jobber is Rusev.
So I have about four people that have just been MIA injuries, whatever, or just big dog chilling, Seth being on fucking Fox Sports doing whatever.
I'm in quite a predicament, right?
Because it's one of these things where I feel like those four, or those three specifically, the Rhea, Roman, and Seth, those three are my anchor that are letting david eclipse me right now like if i had them back doing some stuff but.
That's like when randy orton uh screwed me for like six months yeah like not showing up and he was my number one pick i'll say.
I had gunther at one point who like luckily he he's done more this time but i think last time he just took some time off after losing and i was like.
What the hell Oh, yeah, and even after, what was it, after Cena, he was a big promo machine there for a while. Yeah. He wasn't doing much, so. Yeah, so it's tough because those three, like, I'm not going to drop them, and if that costs me, I'll be pretty pissed, but I just know, because we do this draft until the Chamber, right? Or is it the Chamber last week?
It's Chamber, right?
I think Chamber.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
So it's just tough because, like, I can see.
There is one more shake-up. after this.
Yeah, and that's true.
Before the Rumble.
Roman, I know he's still gonna, he's gonna, we'll get there, but he's gonna beat LA Knight, so I know I'm getting those. I know he'll be there for Survivor Series.
Seth, I think he's, the rumors are working on creative. He should be back at any moment.
I know Rhea Ripley's Touch and Go, but as we saw last time, I feel like the second she's back, she's going to get that title. So that's the thing where it's like, I just can't drop them because I would hate later on for these two to pick them up later on. And then I really miss on this point. So that could make me lose, but I'm going to only drop two today. I'm going to drop Jade because I think, I think Jade's just, I don't know. I think I see another like secondary title in her future or even a tag title, but I don't know if that is the immediate future. Like she's not even in Money in the Bank. So it's like, I know she's already a champion, but still, Punk's in there, KO's in there, like, they've had previous world champions, so I'm gonna drop her,
and then I'm gonna drop, uh, Cardona. I think the Cardona era is already over. We didn't, they didn't even do the whole.
Yeah, he's injured.
Oh, it rolled back in.
He got, he got, like, at, like, literally, like, the week after the Gunther match, he got injured, like, in a main event.
Right, in his arm, because everyone was like, oh, he's gonna be hotter than ever, and then that happened. So I, uh, I hope, even if he comes back and, uh, wrestles, uh, or gets a team with Dan Housen, because for a while I thought they were gonna be tag team champs, but, uh, You know, so those two are gone.
But I'll keep Rusev.
He's not, like, getting any points, but he's also not, like, getting negative points.
He's injured, too, I think.
Yeah, he's injured, but it's, like, I don't want the risk of what David just had of any, like, job.
I had Solo as, like, a jobber, and he, like, won the U.S. title and was, like, defending it every week. So I was just getting, like, negative points.
I don't want something where Rusev comes back and for some reason Bruce Prichard's like, now's the time to really push him. It's like, no, I'm fine to keep him there. If it's a zero, that's okay. And I don't watch weekly enough to know who is on the trajectory. So let's bust up this wheel. We're looking at the right wheel off. Let's get back there. Okay, so we're going to do this for... Did I get rid of my second wheel?
Yeah.
Oh, there we go. All right, so this is who's going to be picking first. I like that. I like that. My hands are off. There's no bias here, so I'm going first. Okay. I've never seen this color scheme before.
Yeah, I guess when you're on the secondary.
I like that.
Can you do both at the same time? I guess it'd be like if you're picking different stuff at the same time.
I don't know.
That's fine. That's fine.
You can't?
Wow, that's too much.
I've got to go there.
I don't know what you'd really use that for, but, you know, it's there.
We're going to find a reason to use it at some point.
That would be like a person in a punishment type deal.
S-Bub's Santa Claus. That would be a punishment sort of thing. That would be good. Okay, so we're going to go with myself, David, then S-Bub's. Ah, there's lots to pick from.
Oh, for a second.
I thought I screen shared my picks. I didn't know.
What was up.
Oh no.
I saw this.
Gladys.
Yeah.
Uh, there's a lot of people that are back and cooking and lots of predictions.
Like, I can't lie.
I have my, where I'm stuck right now is it's like, do I go with somebody that's a current champion or do I go with someone where obviously money, the bank is just around the corner. Uh, And I think it could happen.
I'm going to go.
It depends, too, because sometimes the money in the bank, you know, they'll win and then just lose for like six months.
Exactly, right? Or not even wrestle. They're just like, I'm Mr. I'm Mrs. Money in the Bank. Okay, cool.
So that's where I'm going to go with.
Just the same.
Just doing run-ins.
Exactly, right?
I'm going to go with Stephanie Vakir. She's back. I think they're going to push it for a little bit.
I think that, I don't imagine she'll drop the title on Old Tobo and Money in the Bank, I don't think it's going to be, like, immediate, they could all potato it, though, they could, like, do something with Becky, but I feel they'll rock with her for at least till the next shake-up, she's somebody that can wrestle on Raw as well, too, so I'm gonna, because I always think there's a chance they might, I don't know if keep it on Germania, but there's maybe a chance, maybe they look at the Liv Morgan thing, like, eh, that was a failed experiment, let's go back to Stephanie, she's not injured this year, we'll rock with her, so I'm going to go with Stephanie Vekir, which is the safe pick.
Get some picks, some defenses. Hopefully, watch. I'll just lose it next week. But, yeah, Stephanie Vekir.
Welcome back to the home draft. She was top of my list, so that's a good one.
Okay. Thank you.
Well, who's second on the list, David? Because you're up next.
All right.
Next, I am going to go with Mr. Royce Keys.
Royce Keys. Okay. You've seen big things for Royce Keys.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I feel like, I don't know, for some reason, I could see him being, like, one more pro. Like, if he's, like, I could see, like, the OTM guys wrestling, and then he's just, like, on the outside, you know, slapping the mat, you know.
Yeah, there's two ways it could go that way, or it could go the demand way, right?
Oh, yeah, I was doing, like, trios.
Oh, yeah, and the other guys just stand around.
And they're always out there, right? It could go a lot of ways, so. I think Royce, you could at least get, like, a second.
And I feel like Royce, you know, maybe he can get you. I feel like he'll get you, like, one PLE main event. You know, even if it's in war games, you know, he'll get you those points there.
My thought process is that it's going to be more like the demand. I think that they are going to push Royce and, like.
everyone else is there to help him with group promos because i mean admittedly like he's cool but he's not good on one-on-one promos but when you have that.
Grimy wordsmith or anything.
When you've got those grimy group promos or you just have those group actions in the back instead of one-on-one i think that that's more of their reason for being there so i think royce is going to get a push for a while.
What the hell.
Not to derail this, and then we'll get there, but, like, what the hell is the War Games plan right now? Because for a while it seemed like it was going to be, like, Roman versus, like.
I think it's going to be, like, the Bloodline versus the 946. And, you know, get Drew in there or something. You know, they always get, like, one random person.
But then, so, like... Is, like, Solo going to eventually go back with the Bloodline or something? Because aren't they attacking and kidnapping all of them right now, right?
Yeah, they're kind of like, yeah, because that's also, there's, like, well, we're kind of already spitting off, but there's some stuff about, like, LA Knight and the 946 and, like. Solo was, like, trying to join back with the Bloodline again, and, like, all of a sudden... And, like, LA Knight didn't want that.
The next segment is Solo getting kidnapped. So there's some, like... LA Knight is in the 9-4-6 theories, and they're gonna help him beat Roman. Like, all run in on him. Have money in the bank.
What was the.
What's the faction in TNA old days?
Aces and Eights.
Yeah, yeah.
Oh.
He's Bully.
Bully Ray shit where he marries Hulk Hogan's daughter and they kidnap D-Von and then it's Bully Ray all along. That man.
David, you don't want that.
If it's supposed to be Royce Key's group and then all of a sudden LA Knight's calling the shots, then Royce Key's dead in the water. He'll be in a main event, but... Okay, that's interesting.
Well, I was scared for getting third pick here because I thought my number one pick was going to get taken here, but it didn't, so... I'm taking Roxanne Perez because I think I'm going to drop 200 points on you guys that money in the bank with Penta and Roxanne.
I just don't like how confident you are. That, too, I went back and forth between with that. My only thing is I was more confident on that when Liv was champ because I did believe they were going to– which, again, I guess Liv could just be champ again.
I think there is a chance where Liv wins. Because I think it's going to be a triple threat of Liv, Becky, and Stephanie. And I could see Liv winning it back and then getting cashed in on right away.
God, that's going to be such a low blow to me. If Stephanie loses the title and Roxanne doesn't get it. See, that's the only thing I do disagree. I think they'll do months worth of Roxanne in the background.
I do think... like one of the money in the banks is going to get cashed in on the same night. Because they haven't done the same night in a while. Well, they did Drew, but that was a failed cash-in. People don't even remember that one. But I feel like... I don't know. I just feel it.
Has there been any word.
I guess this is worth asking.
Has there been any word if Sami Zayn is wrestling on this show? Because they already have five matches, so I don't think so, right?
There hasn't been anything necessarily. They are building to, like, they're building to, like. It's either, like, Sami versus Finn is the next match, or it's Sami versus Finn versus Gunther. Because that was, like, the end, or, like, on the SmackDown. But then they're also teasing. People were joking, like, Roman isn't showing up on Raw, so all the Raw people showed up to challenge Sami. Yeah, because Penta, Javon, and, yeah.
And next week, it's, like, everyone from the men's and women's Money in the Bank matches is going to be on SmackDown.
We're going all over the place. Don't disrespect DeBronce and Oba, but, like, they should not be on this card over a WWE Championship match.
Like, look how bad this is, ladies and gentlemen.
We had Roman, he won the World Championship, and then he's like, I'm main eventing. And then Cody was there, like, as, like.
The curtain jerker or whatever, right? But the WWE title.
Got put down. Now, with Cody not even holding it, the WWE title isn't even on the card. The WWE Undisputed Championship isn't even on the card. And, like, Sami Zayn, like, Oh my god, yeah. Because that's what I was just wondering, because obviously he's up there. So I'm up next. I only got one more pick. Like, I thought about Sammy, but same thing. I just don't know, does he just lose this thing? Not even right away, but just like.
Very soon, I don't know.
I don't know what they're doing with him. Because I could see... I could even see something stupid where he goes out there to cut a promo.
And Penta fucking gets out there and.
Cash is injured.
Yeah. I could see something where he rolls him up. I could see them doing that. Him comes out and he cuts the promo. Like, why aren't I on this show? And then Penta comes out and he just beats him. So I don't... I.
Really don't know.
So Sam is just too much....
I don't know.
That's like walking on fire. I think it's still like a good pick, but it's like for all these other picks. God, and even.
LA Knight.
There's a lot of these that I'm... I'm going to say, because I think we're going to get there at some point. How have the reactions been for KO since he's lost a punk match?
From what I've seen, they're still pretty good, right?
Yeah, he's just kind of been like around, I guess.
I feel like at some point, I'm going to take Kevin Owens with the hope that at some point, even if it's like Sami, that he's going to get somewhat of a smaller run here. And again, I just don't know until we're done with Saudi, right? Because we talked about last episode. We're obviously in between this. Sami Zayn did win the WWE Championship, right? And I was not surprised because I thought, well, yeah, Roman's going to work him in Saudi. Once the Roman-Sami match is done, then it's like, All bets are off in that WWE title, and I can see them going any which way.
It could go right back to Punk.
It could go to Gunther. It could go to KO. That's maybe when Penta cashes in. Maybe Roman beats Sami and insult the fucking injury Penta has to cash in in Saudi Arabia. I don't know. So that's why I can't take Sami right now. That's just too much dynamite. I'll take KO because he'll wrestle. He'll be around, and maybe he ends up with this WWE championship at some point.
So I think there's some other picks that I think could get me a little bit more, but I'm hoping for like a high end point with chaos. So Kevin Owens, welcome. So David, you're up.
Okay.
Uh, I've got a couple that are still on my possible list, but.
Only got a pick and a job.
I was about to say only, only got one more spot for real pick. So I am going to go with someone. I, I, I don't have faith that they will be main eventing, but I do have faith that they will be wrestling quite often.
And that will be miss Chelsea green.
Oh, okay. She's not on the PLE either? She's the WWE Women's Champion? What's going on? Where is she?
I don't think that she is going to be the one who gets cashed in on. I think that whoever wins the women is going to go after Stephanie back here. So I think that she is safe with that for a while. I also don't think that she's going to hold the title for a long time, but I also feel like she's one of those people who they are going to have a place on the cards for her.
She's going to appear. She's going to wrestle. Yeah. She's solid.
Because I know they were doing some of her and Jax. Is that still going on, her and Jax?
I think up next would be her and Nikki Bella. Because they're in between because they're doing her and Nikki Bella, but then it's also like still Nikki Bella and Paige so I don't even know like I feel like they're just gonna do like I don't really know what they're doing because it is literally like Chelsea is feuding with just uh with just Nikki Bella and then Nikki Bella is feuding with Chelsea and Paige.
I keep seeing different combinations wrestle fatal influence I don't know what we're doing here I don't know what we're doing why it's just not okay well obviously you have to wait a little bit you gotta get that US title off JC Jane And that's the only thing where I didn't pick Roxanne, too, because I think Soul and JC Jane are actually two people they might just say, ah, fuck it, we'll put on them. You got to get that title on her. And to me, that's like the program when Rhea gets back. Obviously, they might have a lot of time because Rhea could be gone for a while.
But you get the U.S. title off of JC, get the woman's title on to JC, and then Rhea comes back. That's your stare off. Because remember, they're even talking about the like.
Early that was the plan first or that was the plan for summer slam it was supposed to be ria and jc.
And i you could easily do that at mania now if ria's ready to go in january surprise entrance to the rumble she wins it and then jc's the title champ i'm saying Just saying. So, okay, Chelsea Green on David's roster. S-Bubs, who you got? You got two more picks.
I'll say I can let David pick his jobber if he wants.
What if he picks one of your people?
I don't think– I have very few people on my list.
I never thought about that.
Pick a really good wrestler.
Just keep him off the board.
But, yeah, who's your jobber, David?
My jobber is going to be Mishin.
Mishin.
Yeah, that works. I just see the label.
I had to pick somebody.
Because I keep having bad luck with me picking a jobber and then them winning a title.
Happened with R-Truth. Happened with Theory.
I don't think that's happening.
Anytime soon right now with me and Chim.
So I think you're set there.
Whoever I pick goes and wins the tag team title. So I had to pick somebody that I'm like, absolutely not.
Well, unless because it's Fatal Influence right now that has that right now, right?
Yeah.
Unfortunately for you, David, if they ever get hurt, BFAB and Meacham is an easy throw-on option.
So there's a chance it still could happen.
Like, ah, just give it to them. Maybe it would be Jaden somebody. But it probably would be Jaden Meacham, to be honest. Okay, so SBubs has two picks now. Where are you going with that?
I kind of wish I had dropped some more people now. Because I keep thinking of more people I want, but. I think... I'm trying to think who really wrestles the most here. I think I am going to take Sami Zayn.
Yeah, you're taking the Dynamite?
Yeah.
I need at least one PLE main event points in Saudi. I can get that.
Oh, right, yeah, I forgot. He can't get cashed in next week because we've got to do Saudi first, right? But then after.
Yeah. And then my last pick. I'm torn between quite a few people here.
Matt Cardona's on the board.
Trying to see if I have more raw or SmackDown people. Usually I'm heavily on one side, but I actually have a pretty good mix this time. Mm-hmm. I think I'm going to take... I'm going to take Tatum Paxley. Oh.
You're expecting maybe a title switch next week?
No, I just think she's just going to wrestle on TV.
Okay. Fair enough. Okay, so we've had some new additions now.
No LA Knight.
No Becky. No Drew. Nobody. No Finn. Those are other people I was thinking about.
But, uh.
I thought about Drew, but without any sort of solid timetable in his return, I just don't want to risk it.
Just run the ropes. And I don't trust LA Knight for anything. who knows when they're going to bench him and he just gets cold or he just does run-ins for a while.
Now we can go into my predictions. I don't, like, obviously, I don't know if Espo's believes him, but I don't believe any of those LA Knight, like, that idea of, so here's the thing. I could believe he turned teal. I would not believe they would cost Rome Reigns a title. I think he would lose and then turn heel in spite of that, right? Like, I don't think, Rome is not losing LA Knight. I really don't think so. LA Knight was even hotter back in the day with Roman, and he didn't even lose then. I'm very curious what this match is going to be like. Roman, I think, has been putting in work to not wrestle the whole Bloodline style. The match with him and Penta was really good.
I did end up watching that. I just. It's just strange with this dynamic here, because just the story, I'm just wondering, because ellie knight's whole thing is and maybe that's why he will have to turn heel as you know i could have beat you but you always had help and as we've seen with roman's matches since he's been like like punking on has been roman winning with no help right So it just kind of makes LA Knight look like an idiot to me. Not an idiot, but just, like, that's the whole back talk.
That's why he turns heel. Now he is the one with the help.
Yeah, and I guess so.
But then the problem is, that's why he would have to win, because it's like, oh, I'm.
The one with all the help, and then I'm still going to fucking lose the big time matches. You know, like, what's going to happen there? I guess there's always SmackDown. So I am curious how it's going to go. I'm curious what match style they do. I actually wouldn't mind if they have, like, Maybe L.A. Knight starts to act a little shitty in the match. I would like them to kind of do what they did a couple months ago that I loved. Not a couple.
It was a few more months ago. But I loved the.
First Kenny and Swerve match where Swerve just couldn't beat Kenny. And it just did the try and true.
Like eventually, okay, fuck the ref. I'm going to hit him in the nuts. I'm going to start doing this. I would like if L.A.
Knight tries to win like the true way. And this time Roman is just still kicking. You know what? yeah, I'm going to try and cheat too. Now, granted, does he look like an idiot?
Maybe.
It's just like, we'll get to that later, but in the Willow-Tecla match, where Willow uses the belt on Tecla and still fucking loses, I was like, man, you just make Willow look bad. So I just don't know how this is going to go for LA Knight. And the match, I don't know what it's going to be like, because I can't, I don't actually think I saw their first match.
I might have, but I didn't remember it. Like, it just feels like they have a styles clash. I think this could be like a solid, like, three, or maybe this is the match where Roman's like, We're going to have lots of shenanigans. Maybe him and LA Knight talk. He's like, you know what? We're going to go back to the formula and cook something up.
But Roman, easy here. David, how do you see this going down?
Yeah, I agree. I definitely think Roman's going to retain. I do think post-match is more where you could get some shenanigans of either if it's like, LA Knight turning heel or just, like, the 9-4-6 beating up Roman or even, like, you know, the cash-in happening or something like that.
Right, yeah.
Or even an attempted cash-in, right?
It doesn't even have to happen, you know?
Or even, yeah, just the stare-down or something like that. Like, Roman's, like, walking away and you get the money in the bank holder, like, staring him down.
Okay. David?
Yeah.
I think this is just going to be Roman Reigns, Molly Wap in LA Knight. This is just here to get Roman Reigns to his next challenge or fall out from either Money in the Bank or whoever's going to tide him over until Money in the Bank.
So yeah, there's no chance in LA Knights winning this.
Because what do we got?
We got this and then Saudi is before War Games, right?
Yeah. I believe.
So you got that. Then you got War Games. And we know the Bloodline. They got that going on. And then December, do they have a pay-per-view or not?
They have Wrestlepalooza.
Right. Wrestlepalooza. Which he could be there. He could miss.
Also, he'll be back for Rumble. It's in Australia. So it depends. They did do him for the crown.
Jewel in Australia.
When he was a champion. So maybe they... I mean, if he is still championed by.
Them, yeah. Come on, if he's still championed.
He's still championed.
Again, they're still hoping Dwayne stops talking about AEW and like, hey, you want to wrestle Roman? So I was just trying to think who would be next for him, but we got so many months of side quests for him. And Wrestlepalooza, yeah, he could be there, he could not. Obviously, I think for the Rumble he could be there, but at the same time, is he wrestling or is he just sitting in a booth, like watching? And like, I, so ever over family, like, I know this is months old, but I was just reminded. So he really did give up his king of the ring contendership to like first Brock.
That doesn't exist anymore.
I guess he did, but they like never met. They like never explained it or like went deep on it. So people just forget about it. But he is still announced as like the king of the ring every week. I know.
But even then it's like, why would you go to a Brock and be like, Hey, let me win the title and then we can do this for the title. It's just like, his whole motivation was, oh, Brock might interfere and cost me the title. That's wild. Cause it's just like, it's so weird to have Oba win King of the Ring and Royal Rumble. But yeah, I guess there's a chance, like I'm trying to think even like Wrestlepalooza, like who, if he has one more singles person from now.
Another Bronson read match. Yeah.
They are one on one.
Get his win back.
Yeah.
Yeah.
No, that's honestly, they might heat Bronson up a little bit. So no, that's a good call. It might be something like that.
So, We will see. Yeah, let's do the regular match.
So S-Pups, you said you think that it's going to be a triple with Becky, Livwood, and Stephanie.
Yeah, I think they do like some like either like I could see it being like either DQ or like the Judgment Day interfere and help Livwood. And then Adam Pearce is like, I'm not going to let this be what happens and puts Becky in the match as well.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So then, obviously, you were throwing some scenarios about the post, maybe, but is that what you now, when we're drafting, in your hearts, believe that Liv Morgan would be winning and then getting cashed in on? Or how do you see this going down?
I don't know. I am torn as in, like, I do think you are right, that it could definitely be, like, a six-month storyline of, like, Roxanne.
Like Tiffany and Jackson, remember they did that?
Yeah. But then it could also be, you know, like, this is, like, just immediately breaks away. I could even see them doing where even if Roxanne cashes in and wins, she's still in the Judgment Day for three more months. It's like, oh, I'm just doing it for the team or something like that. I feel like that could be a story, too. Well, I wonder, too.
Technically, they've never done that. She could cash in during the match, right? They've done it for the singles to triple.
I was thinking the first ever three-way into a four-way.
And you can make the excuse for Roxanne being like, I thought you were going to lose, so I just wanted to keep the title in the Judgment Day. You know, that would be kind of fun. Yeah, but what's your official prediction?
I do think there's going to be a lot of shenanigans in this match. I don't know. I feel like. I feel like I could see Stephanie losing. But then I could also see, like, just, you know, just put it on Becky again. So, I don't know. I think this is honestly a pretty, like, on paper it would seem like, oh, Stephanie's just going to retain. But I could see it going, like, a bunch of different ways.
But if I have to put one down. Yeah. One down, I'll.
Say.
I'll say the live wins with Roxanne catching in. That'll be my prediction.
David, you go, because I'm still undecided. So what do you think?
I'm in two schools of thought here.
First one is Stephanie winning and then getting cashed in on. The other is, now that it's been introduced, I do like this idea of it becoming a fatal four-way because the cash-in comes in mid-match. Another interesting idea, and this has never been done, this would be awesome, if Right before the match starts, Roxanne Perez comes out and says, I'm here. I'm cashing in on the winner of this match.
She's there at ringside the entire time. Liv wins and then immediately has to face Roxanne.
They did it one time, but they never cashed in. I don't know if you remember this. It was Roman versus Brock, and Braun Strowman with his Money in the Bank stood outside the ring and was like, I'm going to cash in. Did Braun Strowman really win Money in the Bank?
Yeah, that was the thing.
Because he had a failed cash-in. Do you know how he failed his cash-in?
No, I forget because I wasn't watching that.
It was a hell in a cell match. It was Roman versus Braun with Foley as the referee.
Brock breaks the side of the Hell in a Cell.
Goes in, F5s them both, Hell in a Cell ends in no contest. And he just walks away. And that was Braun's cash. That was Braun's Money in the Bank cash.
Oh, so he did a pre-match. Like, I'm going to cash you on this date.
Yeah.
I do love.
And Foley was the referee because it was like the 30-year anniversary of Hell in a Cell or something like that. He's always out there. But yeah, literally, that was his cash and it just ends in a DQ because Brock walks into the cell and just F5s both of them.
So I would love this.
Yeah, go ahead. You want the successful one. You want the one where the person actually cashes in.
Yes, I want her sitting there the entire time.
I want Liv to win, and then they have this look of, well, shit, she said she's cashing, then she has to do it. And then Roxanne walks out champion, and then you have the fallout and the judgment day shenanigans after that, like, you know.
So I think that.
Would just be a fun way to switch up that match and put an added extra to it.
Yeah. I'll say either way, even if there's no cash in, I think Roxanne will be involved in this match. Because usually the women's Money in the Bank is always the first match on the show. And then some other years, like, there hasn't been a women's, like, world title match on the show. So it's like, oh, they're avoiding, like... like someone cashing in, but not there is one, I feel like there's definitely going to be something going on there.
Or like at least an attempted cashing, yeah.
Or even just like looking at the briefcase, right, to think about it.
Yeah, like classic. Yeah.
The only thing I like David's idea, the only thing I would do is wait, well, because I don't know, I guess who, like if they do that, are they going to have Liv as the face or Rox as the face?
I feel like if they did it live wins in some cheat way, and then Roxanne comes back and takes it from her, that's the heel comeuppance. So that could be Roxanne as a face.
Because even the way David's pitching it, that to me would be a baby face way of like hey I've had enough I'm cashing in no matter what like good luck to you so that's what I'm saying like I would like that but maybe you wait but I just don't know what they're gonna if they look at Liv and Dom and they're like oh we're gonna make them baby face next and maybe I don't I think Dom's fine I think Liv I don't know if she can rock as a baby face Not until they do the Rhea Ripley live two-woman power trip one day. You know, that's happening. Don't forget when Rhea left Raw, they did that stare down. That pop was massive.
So I'm saying one day.
Mega powers unite.
I'm going to get it.
I'm going to get it. I'll be boring and just say Stephanie for now.
I don't disagree with S-Bubz that any time Becky Lynch is in a championship match, don't put a pass. If you were to tell me, hey, Becky, if Triple H... came to Cologne and said, oh, we're putting the strap on Becky this week.
Yeah, that makes sense.
That's what she would do. And nothing against Becky. I'm glad that she's back to just the man and she dropped. That was not working for me, brother. I didn't like any of that gimmick the past couple years. So that could just be it of her being, hey, I want to reestablish myself. People aren't going to think of me as a main eventer. Let me just win it for a month and then I'll drop it. And as we talk about AEW, I don't think it's a bad thing.
I think you could hot potato between these three ladies and eat Roxanne for the next six months. That's not a bad thing. That's kind of fun. Like, hey, there's a big threat and all these women could beat each other at the same time because I think the other women aren't– there's not anybody else that's really climbing up.
It could just be Becky, right? Or even then, it could be Becky for the cash-in, right? Like, even if it's not Roxanne, if it's a soul, if it's a... Like, it's not Tiffany, let's be honest. I don't think they're doing Lola right away, but you never know. They've done shit like that before. Becky's the perfect... You win it, newbie cashes in on her, and that's the storyline, right?
It's her and Lola Weiss, that's the storyline. They switch brands, do whatever, so... I'll say Stephanie to be safe, but I think, yeah, definitely attempt, even if Roxanne goes to cash in and Liz like stops her. And that's how Stephanie wins. Cause she like takes advantage of the situation. So I'll say Stephanie, but it could either like go four ways or even whatever way. So, um, hope of family versus Bronson Reed. I don't know why they, I guess we've got ladder matches. They should have made this a stip match unless there's going to be more, but I don't know why they just didn't last man standing and have some fun with it. But, I don't know.
Oba wins and just, we're waiting till Mania, right? We're waiting till Mania or waiting till Dwayne says no. One of the two, you know? Yeah.
Yeah. I feel like, I don't know. I can see, like, they could do a double count out.
On this one.
Oh, fuck off.
I can't.
And they never returned back.
I love how, like, they didn't go.
Back to Braun. Well, they did already do a DQ on Braun, yeah.
Well, yeah, but I didn't even go back to, like, Oba's issue with Braun.
Well, they are still kind of, like, Because, yeah, his issue was with Bronn. And then, like, he kind of moved... Like, he technically won, I guess, by DQ. But the thing is, like, Bronn is still, like, angry at Ova. But Ova doesn't really care about Bronn. He only cares about Bronson right now.
Don't give me that dirty gaslighting.
Oh, he technically won, and now he's after Bronn. No, he should be like, I want to beat his ass, pin him.
But now Bronn's over there, which is fine.
I get that.
That's what they do.
But it's just.
It's so funny.
I know that there was rumors he got some heat. No, I respect when Bronson put his foot in an open. I was like, nah, don't do that to me. He learned that shit from Lesnar and other big guys of like, hey, don't let them do that to you. I could see Taker pulling him aside being like, hey, don't let anyone big league you like that. And that was wrong where he put his foot on Mike. hey, you don't deserve this right to put your foot on Oba here. Get that foot off.
Speaking of Braun and Brock and other big guys, I was watching a video, like, talking about, like, sort of everything that went wrong in Braun Strowman's, like, WWE run, like, throughout the years. And there was one, like, I forget which Rumble it is. I think it's before Mania 33, I think, like, The Rumble has like Goldberg and Undertaker and a bunch of people.
Yes.
And like in that match, Braun is in and he's like not selling for anybody and just like knocking everyone down. So it's like, okay, some producer told him like, You don't get knocked down by anybody. And then Brock comes in and, like, starts clotheslining him, and Braun still doesn't go down. And then Brock just gives him, like, the hardest clothesline of his life until he goes down for real.
And it's like you can tell someone told Braun, like, you don't go down for anybody, and Brock's like, you're going down.
Yeah.
It's funny. Him and Brock had those runs because they all said that run where Brock, like, punched the shit out of him, too, and Braun hit him so hard.
And Paul Heyman, remember, like, two years ago where Paul Heyman was, like, Like, oh, Braun Strowman was, like, crying about not being on the WrestleMania card. He got released, like, two weeks later. So, yeah, definitely, I feel like, yeah, Paul definitely had it out for Braun Strowman throughout, like, his whole run.
Be careful. Paul's going to take you down.
David, do you see this going any different way?
Nope.
DQ? It's cut and dry.
This is just, it is what it is.
Okay, well, in that sense, you can start off with the women's.
You've got Sol Ruka versus Lola Weiss versus Jason Jane versus Roxanne Perez versus Last Legend versus Tiffany Strider, who just qualified last night for the women's Money in the Bank contract. David, who's taking this?
I am 90, and I'm only saying 90% sure Roxanne Perez takes this. I do see a situation where maybe they decide to go with Lola or JC, just like one of the newer people, and give them that push.
With the botches that have happened, I don't see them giving it to Saul Ruka.
Lash Legend is great, but she's there to be the powerhouse. She is taking the place of what Nia Jax normally is in these matches.
So you don't think that she could be in the 10%? I think Lash is always a chance thing, because sometimes some of these finishers in Money Bank have like a, oh, they're going with that. I think Lash could be like the, you know, put it on her and let's see what happens. You know, let's see if she wins, you know?
I don't have a prediction on that. I don't have enough faith for her to get percentage point right now. And then Tiffany, Tiffany Stratton's there, you know, she, she's going to do something cool. She's going to have a moment, but yeah.
I hope not.
These videos I've been seeing lately.
And she's talking about how scared she is. I'm like, Oh, right before you have a money in the bank ladder match, you're talking about how scared you are for all these top rope moves.
But yeah, no, um, i i'm thinking it's.
People not catching her tiffany's endangering these fucking ladder matches you.
Know yeah uh i think it's going to be roxanne perez.
Okay yeah no i go i can go because i i think it is going to be roxanne because at first i thought okay you know because live is another title but i kind of thought i just put it right back on her so maybe i'll regret that in the long run but you never know because sometimes this happens with wv when like enough people online like oh it's this person this person sometimes like well We're going to swerve. And that's where I think that's where Lash Legend comes in. Where it's like, ah, put on her.
There's times where it's like, I can't remember. Oh, it was Drew McIntyre. WrestleMania 24. Where everybody, the whole internet is like, Drew's getting that. Or not 24. I'm way off.
26.
There we go. It's like, oh, it's going to be Drew, Drew, Drew. The ideas are going to, like, Taker's going to get a title back. It's going to be Drew and Taker. And then all of a sudden, Jack Swagger's standing up there taking that briefcase.
And everyone's like, oh, Jack Swagger.
Okay, I guess let's see. And then he cashed it on Jericho two days later. It was one of those, like, they didn't really have any plans. It was supposed to be Drew. Same thing as Cody.
So there's times where people are supposed to win.
And then an hour before.
It's like, you know what?
Plans change and I feel like to me Lash and JC are the plans change person Lola I just think is too new in the main roster I haven't been watching so.
I don't know they're gonna give Lola like the IC title I think.
Yeah I agree yeah so that's why I don't think it's her but you never know and.
Soul like I still you know what has her crowd reactions been like as of late.
Definitely good I mean she she always has like good stuff. I feel like I'm trying to think recently she's kind of just been in like the Judgment Day type vortex. I think her and Lola are teaming against like Roxanne and Raquel this week or something like that.
Because I also feel like WWE looks at her and they go two things. One, she can be the type of baby face that can cash in and doesn't seem cowardice because like, oh, she's doing that. And I feel like they want the fucking finisher on the briefcase or whatever. They want to have that moment.
Where- The soul snatcher on the briefcase to win.
That's what I mean. I feel like they can look at soul and they see the moment of her. And that's where even her cashing on Becky. I can see them like, oh- you know the new newish up-and-comer beats the big becky so i don't think soul's completely out i and i but i do think to me i'll pick roxanne if the second pick though i think it would be jc i think jc's would be the next one where she a u.s and my bank so that's where if she loses the u.s title it doesn't hurt as much because she's like well i still got this fucking briefcase yeah you can even do it they did the the very first classic formula where edge lost rick flair And then later on that night, boom, cash on Cena.
You could have her lose the U.S. title and then that same night later go get the WWE title and no one would even think about it anymore. So I think that– I think I'm like a– a 60, maybe like a, I think I'm thinking like a 60 on Roxanne, then I'm like a 40 on Jaycee. I think Jaycee could be high, because it could be one of those things, if they can't decide, they'll just go like, ah, fuck, put on Jaycee, because like, I think they've decided they're going to make her main eventer at some point, where some of these other people, they might be like, well, let's wait, and yeah, Tiffany, yeah, zero, non-zero chance, unless she goes into business for herself and takes the fucking briefcase off, but non-zero chance, I'd say, so.
Yeah, for Soul, I would say the reason she's in this match is obviously because they're going with the theme of all the call-ups and newer women to the roster. But also I feel like she's going to be like when they put the John Morsons, the Ricochets, she's going to be there to do the spots in this. match. Yeah.
The Benjamin spot where he, that's where his stock went up because like, oh, he stole WrestleMania 21, you know? So she could do that, right? Yeah.
But no, I'm, you know, I drafted her as like my first pick. I'm a hundred percent on Roxanne win here.
Yeah.
Oh, yeah.
I hope it didn't screw up. We'll see. You never know with the Fed. You never know. Sorry, Cody. And then you got the men's Money in the Bank.
Roman's going to last, though, right?
Unless he's not playing the catch, he's going to last.
Most likely. I feel they haven't done the Money in the Bank match last since, like, I don't really know.
They've done it before.
Yeah, because there was one, because 2020... One was Roman and Edge as the main. 2022 was... Was.
It the six-man? Remember one year there was a six-man? And everyone was pissed about that?
I don't know what was the 2022 main. Obviously, Roman would have been the champ.
Because it was like Solo beating Cody at some point, remember?
No, that was later. Because 2023 main event is Roman and Solo and the Usos. 2024 is, yeah, Cody, Randy, and KO against Solo, Jacob, and I think Tama Tonga. 2025 was Cody and Jay against Cena and Logan Paul. But, yeah, the 2022 main.
Why did they not?
I'm searching it up right now.
2022 Money in the Bank main event. It might have been. Yeah, it was a ladder match. which was one of my theory as a late Adam participant. So I was the big surprise to the reaction.
And they're like, Oh no.
Oh.
And that's the one where they have the Morgan, uh, cash in a Rhonda, which was, yeah, I like that cash in, but yeah.
Those Roman just wasn't on the, on that show.
I guess those two tags, the whatever, the six men, Logan Paul one, how those matches, like how the bank matches not going on last, but we.
Got the men's main bank.
We got Braun breaker versus Javon Evans versus trick Williams versus Penta versus CM Punk versus Kevin Owens. S-Bubz, how's this going down? Is Penta riding off that Roman Reigns Mexico City hype?
I'm going all in on Penta winning it here.
And you have Penta too, so you could have.
That's what I said, I'm dropping 200 points on you guys. You could have them both.
Well, let's hope for some failed cash-ins then, David.
Yeah.
Penta, yeah. I... Yeah, I.
I wouldn't have said that a while back.
He can hold it until the, whenever they run next, they're going to announce the, you know, Elimination Chamber Mexico City, and that's where he cashes in.
Right, yeah. Like, Javon, no. Braun, they've given up on Braun, pretty much, let's be honest. trick williams i don't think so but he's also that like but he's that fucking pick sometimes they do or just like yeah.
They did like a they did like a cody and trick like stare down on smackdown where he's like you know i'm on the next stop yeah let's.
See how those matches fucking go with the.
Way you know cody you know give him the u.s title you know he can do his matches in the uh in the mid card.
His gear with the U.S. title and the mask is going to be fucking crazy. He might have a Donald Trump fucking mask when he comes out with the.
Hand and everything.
Oh, God.
I think Trick's always a chance. Kevin, there's also a chance. Like I said, if there's a thing where it's like, hey, we do want to give him that, I think it is Penta. The only other sneaky person, too, is Punk. And people are like, what do you mean?
For sure, three-time Money in the Bank winner.
That's why, yes, because I've said this before when I thought Seth could be in there. They love doing that shit, right? And he hasn't won Money in the Bank since it was like, God, 2009, I think, when he cashed in on Jeff. It's been a long time. You can do anniversary stuff. And I also think there's two ways you could do this. He cashes in on Sammy after Saudi, and it's literally like, LOL, Sammy.
Thanks for going to Saudi.
Or it's if they want to go full heel turn with Punk. And they tamper with that a few times this year.
They could do it.
And I do not wish this on my man here. But there is a version where Kevin Owens wins that fucking title, and you have CM Punk GTS him.
And take that off him.
Imagine that you could get on CM Punk. There is a way, because that's exactly what happened last time. Punk won Money Bank as Babyface, but then he cashed in on Red Hot Jeff Hardy, and everyone fucking hated him. There is a way to do that, and that's where I don't think it's impossible. So I'm higher on Roxanne winning than Penta, because it's one of these things, too, where, like, I could see them being really hard on Penta and.
Be like, well, you know, it was just like last month. Like, let's see if it continues. And then he's going to get the LA Knight speech where it's like, oh, things come to those who wait. Like, I would put Penta in the first spot, but there's still fuckery to be had here.
It would be punk and KO.
I feel like Braun, because I feel like Ova and Bronson will go on earlier. I could see, like, you know, Braun, you know, he gets Mustafa Ali Brock Lesnar'd by Ova. Not Ova winning the match, but, you know, Ova runs down and, like, pushes the ladder down. Yeah. And they, like, fight to the back, and Braun is, like, out of the match or something like that. He's costing me.
Money in the bank.
Yeah.
David, what's going on in the men's winning bank?
Penta is right now my high end to win it CM Punk is my second choice because like you said the three time I also think that the promos of him talking about you've seen what I've done with this before you know that's something.
That they would lean into with him the promos Also.
I'm thinking of merch sales and outside of Penta, a CM Punk branded Money in the Bank briefcase you know is going to sell.
And they would do that for the merch.
It's not selling better than the Cerro Miedo money in the Miedo in the bank.
That's what I said. Pinto could also have a good custom one, but Pinto and Punk, to me, are the only two.
That could have a really good... I think they would go too cartoonish with Javon Evans.
Tricky to get the fur one, though. Oh, God, no. Yeah, you would.
If he wins my bank, you know they're putting fur on that fucking briefcase.
Block breakers would look just like naomi's did because you know they have this similar scheme they both have that fucking caution tape.
Yeah but it says engine instead of caution and have like the uh like the speed limit sign on it because it's like this thing yeah yeah i would love and you know that's conversations you're having i would love to see the conversation to me like okay what would make more money the penta bought briefcase or the punk briefcase and you know what i actually don't know because i think both like david s was bringing up good points guys penta's hot right now but Punk just always does good merch sales, and I can see people like, oh.
It's a classic. I can see the blue briefcase with the Chicago Red Stars and the stripes and stuff.
Yeah, so I would love to see the stats of both, though. So there you go. We're all in the Penta thing. But that's where I just feel like with us, and I feel like all the internet's going, oh, well, it's Penta and Roxanne. I just feel like that's where something does happen where they go, nah, it's not going to be.
And that's where I feel like one of these we could be wrong.
And every once in a while that does happen where the rumble, it's like, hey, these two people are winning and they do just win. But sometimes they look at that and they go, we got to change this up.
That was like when Drew won Money in the Bank the last time because it was like everyone thought Jay was going to win. Jay was on the poster holding the– it said Yeet in the Bank. And that was what I was saying too. The Yeet in the Bank, the merch, and then Drew just wins.
That's where, yeah, it could just be, or it's just, it's just Braun. And that's their way of showing like, no, no, no, we're, we're still pushing him. We still believe in Braun Breaker. And then he'll fucking, he'll cash in on Oba and he'll lose. He'll fail to cash in on Oba. But well, there you go. So yeah, we'll cover that in about two weeks along with Street Fighter. So we'll see what happens there. Is there any other big WWE talk or NXT talk, anything that we need to hit on before we transition over to other stuff that I'm not, that's not on Money in the Bank?
I can't really think of anything necessarily since it's all kind of coming up to money in the bank.
So, yeah.
Well, we'll come along.
Anything big in the AC world.
Over there, S-Pubs?
Well, they haven't really started the build to Halloween Havoc. They kind of have, but this year Halloween Havoc being right on the 31st because it is a Saturday, so that is pretty cool. But yeah, there's going to be a women's battle royal to face Kalani Jordan for the NXT women's title. I forget who I thought was going to win that. There's like 20 people in it. But, yeah. So, I don't know if that's... It's a cross-promotion.
One, right?
Yeah, it is. It has, like, people from all the bunch of different rosters. But it probably is just going to be someone from NXT winning. I could see it. But that's kind of been... There hasn't been that much announced for, like, that show. Because it is kind of still, like, a month away.
Yeah.
All right. Well, we'll see what happens around that time. Yeah, because we'll probably have more of the card when we do our next skimmick there. So... All right, so we'll transition over to All Out, and then we'll talk about the POC show and everything, but we'll briefly talk about All Out, and then AW All Out. When did this happen?
Last week?
I don't know why I was saying that, because I was just typing it. Espos, what did you watch from the show, and what are your big takeaways or any low points you want to hit on? Because, yeah, we won't do a whole overall review, but just hit on some of the.
Yeah, I think I saw the whole show... Besides the Trios title match, I missed that one. So I didn't see the new level You.
Missed the You gotta get You missed the Dave Meltzer 5 star You gotta go back and check it out That.
Was a good one.
Uh but yeah and then.
I suppose a hangman hater or something like that.
Uh but my my match of the show my favorite match was was champa and okada that was my favorite match yeah uh i just thought it was you know i was scared i was in the discord you know like three seconds of the match they're talking about okada you know he has a low uh heart rate and i'm like it's over you know it started that way too the first like yeah i'll say up until the champa's daughter spot it was that type of match and then it really got going with the crowd.
Yeah i don't know if they read it or they're just like oh we're gonna wait to them but yeah it was like oh no kata's he's doing a collision match here okay let's see what happens but yeah uh.
For low point i don't really know like I guess I'd say the second half of the main event of the show would be the low point. But overall, I thought it was a good time, the show. Yeah.
What about you, David? What do you think of some of these matches in the show overall?
Yeah, so the first time I watched it, I watched it on my phone and then I had to go back and re-watch it on some of these matches that I absolutely loved on a bigger screen. Like I said, the trios match.
You were fighting for your life trying to watch the show.
Man, I was having so many problems. And then I kept getting.
phone call after phone call related to a family issue we were having, and I'm like, golly, like, just.
Let me live.
But no, I went back, I re-watched the tag, I re-watched the trio smash, like, and I'm just sitting there like, those were amazing. As much as, you know, S-Bubz is a Moxley guy, everyone knows I'm a Will Ospreay guy through and through, and yeah, I will admit that that that match kind of drug on a little bit for me.
And I was just like, all right, guys, it, it, this has been a long show already. Let's just, let's wrap it up. B let's wrap it up.
Um, as far as low points, um, I would say the only low point for me, and I'm, I'm sad that this is a low point was the, um, the TBS open championship match. It just really didn't hit with me.
Like I, It felt like maybe they were wanting someone different than Danny Luna, but that didn't happen. So they made this whole big thing about, oh, we're going to have.
This open challenge. And then it was just like, oh, okay. Cool story, bro. This felt like it could have been a TV match. This reminds me.
It reminds me of the old school, the Cody open challenge for the TNT title where they would just bring in somebody who was popular in that area to get the hometown pop or get the IWC pop. This is what that felt like, and I didn't feel like it really had a place here.
Yeah, I'll say it was also hurt by coming right after the Stephen Borden injury, I'd say. Because the crowd was so worried.
The crowd is deflated the entire time. They're checking their phones. They're checking Twitter for updates. And no one is caring about this.
It was a double bad spot.
It was that. And then anytime you do an open challenge on pay-per-view, you have the people expecting, like, returning person or, like.
Yeah, I was seeing, like, the people I was seeing was, like, people were, like, oh, it's Kairi Sane. She's going to debut.
Right, yeah.
That was, like, the, that was, like, the, I wouldn't say rumor because it wasn't a rumor. I'd say that was, like, the speculation from, like, if you asked, like. Say, like, a casual AEW-type fan, like, if they don't read the scoops and stuff like that, it's like, oh, it's Kairi, she's debuting. But, yeah, Dana Luna, like, honestly, she's, like, known if you're, you know, on the IWC-type thing, but honestly, she's only been in, like, tna and i believe she was in nxt uk but that was before she was like uh like top star type of thing so honestly not that many people they might have heard of her but never seen her before i will say i do think in the match by the end of it she was getting people into it just because of the impressive
stuff she can do But definitely, like, no pop when she came out at first.
Yeah, it was the Diana Perrazzo. It's like, oh, no, I hate this. But, no, that German off, like, the rope, like, the elevated German.
Yeah.
Even Taz was impressed. He popped huge for that there.
Yeah. That's where if I hit up Espos right away, I'm like, hey, is this movie in 2K? Yeah. i'm gonna be putting this as my finisher on something in the future but yeah that's at least a good thing that you still won them over the end because there's nothing worse than the the bad debut not the bad like the quiet debut and then like the matches.
Yeah like no reaction i didn't think it was gonna be car.
I actually thought it was gonna be ruby soho because we've heard she's been training and i i feel like at any point she's gonna be coming back now but I mean.
She's posting with her and her husband in their board game slash bakery.
She should be coming back. I don't know if he's coming back, but I hope she's coming back. But hey, we got.
Three women's match on the show, so that's good. We've heard that all the time.
Tony does fucking 18-hour shows, and sometimes there's only one to two, so I like that because we got the tag, we got this and that.
Hold on.
I was about to say, we got banged for our buck for sure with this. No pun intended, but it was goddamn Tony-like. Shaving hour, man. Just five minutes here, ten minutes there. Like, it's okay.
Is this what you would have taken off then, David? Would you have taken off the open challenge? Because I was 14 and then.
I would have taken off the open challenge. I might, as much as, you know, and. Part of it is, you know, I'm looking at this in hindsight.
I would have shaved probably three minutes off of Andrade and Pac.
I think Will Ospreay and Jon Moxley could have went ten minutes less and still been fine.
I feel like the last 10 minutes is what people had a problem with. Dave gave it 4.5. He hated it.
The trios match and the tag match both going 23 and 24 minutes. That I can get because it's multi-man so you're fitting a lot of stuff in and it doesn't fill as much. But when you have just the singles match and then it's It's just kind.
Of– It's not a singles epic either.
It's a plotting– and it's weird because they never fully engaged with the– kind of what we all thought, right? We thought Will Ospreay is going to win the title. Moxley turns on him, right? And I didn't mind the reveal of, hey, he saves him. Then the graphic comes up. I thought, OK, we're going to get back to Moxley killing him, right? And then we never did.
It was just kind of like a weird like.
Well, because I think, and if we go into, like, because I think Mox was going to be the one getting turned on soon by, because that was what they were building, and, like, even if we're still.
I don't want to really do that.
If we're going into, like, some of the Pac stuff, like, obviously, we have to talk about, like, the Moxley promo that he did, but, like, the reason why Pac leaves, like, is the last one to leave there and is, like, thinking about it is because, like, That's what they'd been kind of billing to. That was going to be Pock and the dogs and stuff.
And maybe that could have been it. I just thought that it was.
Because that promo, like, if you look at it in, like, the way it was supposed to be, where he is supposed to be talking about, like, Ospreay and himself, I did feel like it was a very baby-face type promo.
It's just weird for me that, like, for Will Ospreay's first defense is due to, like, Stockholm Syndrome. Like, not that the match, but, like, This guy, like, breaks his neck, and he comes back, wants to kill him, and Moxley, like, trains it out of him. And it's just, it's weird.
Like, hey, in K-Fib, he, like, put you on the shelf. You couldn't play with your kids.
And, like, you're still, like, and it's not like the Brian Moxley hug that happens later on the tribute show, right?
Because that's years later, all this stuff.
But it's, like, I guess it's just, to me, it was weird that it never got to another gauge. So it's, like, okay. We're getting... And I guess for me, I thought the show overall was, like, a good show. I thought it started off iffy, that middle portion. Everyone said this, but the portion from Brawling Birds to Young Bucks, well, no, I guess even Tekla and Will, that was kind of fine. But, like, Brawling Birds, the trios, like, trios is probably my top three match of the year right now. That, you couldn't have it go on last because it was Will's first offense.
But New Level and Swerve versus, you know, Good, Bad, and Handsome, that should have been last. That match was fucking incredible. Then the Bucks and Ladder match, that was just tons of fun. The Brawling Birds is exactly what I was hoping it was going to be at All In. And this is where they actually had the beat-em-up. And I don't even think you need weapons for that. But this was the match that I wish they did at All In. I wish they had this moment. But with the Osprey thing, and it's just.
I don't know. It's just... It was an odd fit, and for me, you have... They're going to do this, and it's like, okay, we're... We're like... It's all over. It starts as just a wrestling match. They're grappling and they're doing stuff. And then they start to go on this.
All of a sudden. It's crazy because there's no progression to it turning into like a Bloodline Rules type of match. Like they're doing one sort of match and then it just turns into something else.
And then this isn't his fault because he was directed this.
But then out of nowhere, when pock does interfere he has the fucking briefcase and at no point did i think this was like the oh you like the way the storyline should go then as will should have for a couple months and moxley should go you know you're not doing right i'm gonna take it back it's his first defense and he already has the briefcase like ready to go lock up the title and it's like and.
Also mox like they're using the briefcase to interfere but then at the end of the match when he grabs it he's like no i can't hit osprey with.
It moxley this like killer this ruthless killer can't not like he's when he does the belly spot yeah he could he's gonna break osprey's neck again earlier this year and then i can't do it like no like i just like it was it was a it just felt like they they were on a board and they had the will like last month they said okay here's will mox we're doing this all out here's the five storylines we could do and they both looked at and said great and like no no pick one no they're like no we can do them all it's gonna work and it just didn't that's where for me when they start talking about like oh no the fate of the company again it's like Moxley's not hinted at all that he wants to... He's been in Continental Classic or whatever cup mode,
like championship mode. He's not been talking about he needs to save the company again. So when they were threatening for Moxley to win the title and put him back in the briefcase, because we haven't seen the briefcase since Hangman, I was like, man, it was wild. So that's why this show had some big lows. I think it might be...
I'd have to look back. It might be the weakest show of the year. Luckily, AEW has those times where it's like three matches in a row where, man, this is close to a 5, 4.5. That's what makes it worth it, right? So it was a good show. It just was not as good. But I think what I said in the Discord, I stand by where there's two things TK had to do. And even this week now, more so, like, I don't think Moxley's going anywhere. But Moxley had to lose to Hangman all out. And they had to do this Will Ospreay match. If TK didn't let that happen, Moxley might get squirrely and like, oh, he's not letting me do my stuff. I do think now Moxley will be away from the main title picture for a while, which will be refreshing. Even on Collision,
he's back to just, okay, he's going to beat Jake Doyle and we're on to the next thing. But I think that was an anchor. That's why for the Kenny match, they just randomly got rid of Moxley. Just like, yeah, we're not Death Riders anymore and we'll never talk again. And then they picked it up right after because they knew this thing was kind of an anchor on Will Ospreay.
So that's my hope is now. It'll go away. I know in a year or so, Ospreay's going to start fucking teaming with them again. And that's going to get dangerous. At least he has United Empire, so that might stay away. But I think this hopefully is good for Moxley to stay away. Who do we think is... Who's up next for Will?
Because obviously with Pac Show.
He's facing Okada in three days. That's on a Tuesday. They're doing Grand Slam Paris.
On Tuesday this week.
Obviously they didn't promote it that much because of the trivia show.
It's weird because they did this with Okada and Darby. Why are they obsessed with giving Okada's world title shots a week or so notice? Shouldn't that be like Okada gets it and then it's the big build up? Can he become.
The Also, Travis is always talking about the champions going after the world champions. So far, Ospreay first defense against the continental champions, second defense against the international champion. And now he's going to face Darby. And who is the contract? Andrade, too, national champion. Yeah, now he's going to face the TNT champion.
Let's start. I want Ospreay to become like the championship killer and be like, if you're going to challenge me, we are unified. And I just want Ospreay to unify like six titles and just like, it's like they meld them all together. It's a massive title, but okay. So Okada, that's going to be hopefully a great match. Hopefully no interference.
He wins.
Who do you guys think is the wrestle dream?
Will Ospreay? Does something happen with Okada and they like do a rematch? Do they have someone else for him?
I feel like it could be like a Gabe kid. Cause he was like the first person to interrupt him like on dynamite, right? After his, uh, After he won the title, like, after All In, he was like, I want to be a challenger. Or maybe Andrade, because Andrade is, like, he has to give, like, at least one week's notice.
So it could be, like, I'm going to face you at WrestleDream. Because it's not like a cash.
Yeah, but Andrade's playing a weird babyface role right now.
So, I mean, I... I don't know.
He was giving props to Andrade, calling him the sexiest man in the world and all this stuff. Andrade's patting him on the back after his matches. So unless you super turn Andrade... I don't think they're gonna.
It could be a face versus face match. Oh, Trash just disconnected his mic or something. But yeah, I don't think Andrade's gonna turn, especially with this character being like, The most over he's been. Like, probably ever, I'd say.
And that's why we kind of theorized.
We thought they could do the babyface, babyface, Will Andrade when you have, like, whatever they're going to do with the tag teams and have that main event. But they did that already. They did the Bucks, Edge and Christian, and FTR. And I don't think as much as I'm really looking forward to Monet and Tekla. I'm curious to see how that match goes. I don't think that's going to main. And, yeah, I don't think they're turning Andrade.
They're not turning Will. So I guess they could.
No, it's Russell Dreamer. here's what's going to happen.
Now that they've lost the tag team titles, it's going to be Cope going for the world.
Title against Will Ospreay. You know TK would do it. You know he.
Can do it. Or you do the classic. There's also a classic other answer. He's cutting a promo, gets hit from behind by Samoa Joe, and now you're facing Samoa Joe at the pay-per-view.
Yeah, Joe's a classic.
I did love their double or nothing match. That was like a And that was, like, a match that was, like, too short for me. It's only, like, 11 or 12 minutes long, and I love that match.
And then you get... Oh, you could be right, because you know what you'll get?
Ospreay versus Jack Perry.
Well, you could get United, Empire versus Ops for a couple of dynamites.
Oh, God, no. Which, like.
So the opposite now would be Hook. Well, it's back to the original Shibata.
Anthony Bowens is now gone from AEW. Him and Max Caster.
Yeah, free agents.
And you see TNA just leaked out to the dirt sheets that their former tag team champion will be at AEW. Slammiversary. Oh, so it's him? I feel like it's probably Max Caster because it only said one. It didn't say tag team champion. It said a former tag team champion.
They've got to promote that show next week because they're not selling any tickets.
They should just.
Vote for him. They sold negative 745 tickets. That's brutal. That's brutal.
Yeah ah god yeah joe you could uh i don't think it will be copeland but you could because it's his three-year anniversary in aw and wrestle dream and like i'm i'm curious with copeland because he literally he did say.
Copeland's working a pay-per-view main event tonight.
He is yeah maybe maybe that tk will see them be like i need that on my show because there's part of me right where he said in that whole helawani interview where he's like i'm not right like despite an injury, or, like, per an injury, unless that happens, I'm not wrestling in 2028.
So he's pretty much set 2027 of.
His contracts up. And he had, like, a whole list of guys he wanted to work. Unless, which they could, unless they do plan on doing, like, a senior retirement tour where it's, like, three months and he's going to work, swerve, canny, then that's fine. But myself, like, I know Cope does not have the same gear he used to, but I do want to.
See some of these equations.
So, like, I like that he's back with Christian, but I hope that's not, like, the rest of his aw run now like i hope there is like yeah give him osprey like these guys can like help him out and again have them be like 12 like the joe and osprey match like have them be like 10 to 13 don't go cope say you gotta go out there for 25 like no have them be spiffy and fast and hit their high spots and have some fun like i i'm i am interested what's gonna happen with coke because i think we got one more bucks match and bucks will like beat them clean this time I.
Mean, that could be what Cope is doing at WrestleDream. Maybe not like a weapon step, but maybe like a two out of three falls or something like that.
Has there ever been a three stages from hell tag team match? Not do it here, because I don't want Cope to go through that. But I'm just saying, have they ever done that?
No.
And then you've got to do New Day and Edge and Christian. Or New Level. You have to do that. Tony Khan is committing malpractice if he does not book that match. Yeah. And then I still think, I wonder WrestleDreams, I guess the other main event we didn't talk about, if you do Andrade and Will as babyface, and I just want to bring this up because I suppose I listen to it sometimes too. I listen to self-made and which was very strange that they, because I don't think Kenny was obviously supposed to be back, right? He came back for the POC show and the working theory is they're going to get to swerve a new level versus Kenny and the Bucks. But he said something like the alignments are going to surprise people. So that to me
made it sound like, They're going to flip one of these teams, and I don't know... I could see.
I think, honestly, like, I do think... In my opinion, I thought they should have brought in the new level as faces, but then from their point of view, I could see them wanting, like, let's do the heel run good this time.
They wanted to, right? Yeah. And you know why they haven't done that?
Like, you know, the drop, you know, we have creative freedom now. Tony Khan is, you know, letting us do, like... our ideas. And especially with Swerve, like, you could get them as, like, That, like, you know, like, the despicable, you know, they're burning down, you know, the Bux's compound or something.
Kenny's, like, modified controllers or whatever.
Because what they keep setting up, and that's why I think it's going to go that way, they keep, everyone keeps telling them, oh, you know, Swerve's a pretty bad guy. And they're like, oh, no, he's been good to us. So what I could see happening is Swerve does something dastardly, and at first they make it look like the new level's, like, not cool with it, like, right in the ring, and then they also just do the dastardly thing, too, and they're like, Yeah, we're fucking crazy, too, so.
I could see something like that. Or even, well, speaking of, I was watching the Death Triangle and Elite matches. Yeah. And, like, that was the thing, too, where, like, the Lucha Bros or, you know, the Bay Faces and then Pac was, like, he kept trying to use the hammer. And then, because I watched the full gear match.
And Penta uses it one match, right?
I watched the full gear match and the last one was just the ladder match. And so... uh the finish of the full gear matches the first one is pock gives the the hammer to phoenix like earlier in the match he doesn't use it and then the second time he gives it to him uh kenny gets phoenix in the one wing angel position and he like hits kenny in the head with it knocks him out and just uh pins him.
So he has like the classic like yeah i do.
Sort of no no like but when he uses it he just like throws it out of the ring and like pins kenny so it's like oh like he used the uh cheating ways to win. So, so I feel like it could be something similar like that with swerve and the new level, but even being like, maybe they, they fake the being like, we don't want to do it.
It turns out to be like, they just start beating them up with the hammer or some weapon or chairs or something.
Yeah. I'm not going to lie. I was hoping that one, uh, one of those won the polls, but you know, we're going to talk about Pac and orange Cassie here in a second, which is a fun one as well. And plus for time wise, uh, bit better because i forgot when i looked up that match is only 12 minutes that's crazy so that's what we're gonna do is there anything else aw related we haven't talked about how we.
Need to hit on um i guess well the technically the only match announced for wrestle dream so far is mercedes and uh tecla yeah i mean i have seen some people saying maybe that could like you know if you want to give like a women's main event that has had quite a lot of build and if you're saying like they could do like Say you do do the Osprey-Andrade as, like, a 13-, 15-minute match in the opener where they just do, like, all their crazy stuff, and then you put Mercedes as, like, the women's AEW pay-per-view main event. Especially with her and Tecla, like I said, like, especially compared to a lot of times where the women's matches for AEW pay-per-views sometimes don't really have that much of a build, or if they do have one, it's
not that good. This one, I do feel, has had a pretty long and good build because they were building it, you know, before Mercedes was champion, like, for a while before that, so.
I would like that, especially Tecla's getting over, you know, like, I do think they're, not her, but the promo packages, man, like, you don't need to have her saying bitch every time. Like, she says that, but, like, the one with her and Willow was just, they used every time she said dumb bitch, and they had that, it was, like, five or seven times in a row, and I was like, okay, like, don't, don't, don't ruin it. Don't, don't go too hard on it.
The dumb bitch promo package, got so much traction. Now it feels like they're forcing it.
Like the one where it was, yeah.
Where she's like, you know, you dumb bitch. Like that one, just, it had so much traction.
It blew up.
The internet loved it. Now they're like, all right, guess you got to call everyone. Yeah.
I mean, it's like, like, There probably is a shirt.
Yeah, is there a shirt on shop? I was looking for.
Because if not, how do you not... Oh, now shipping from Canada.
Look at that.
Faster, cheaper, and better. That's good, because I'm buying my POC shirt in a little bit here.
So that's good. That's good for Canada, because shipping fucking sucks over here. You can buy the Divine Dominion jersey.
Oh, yeah.
Oh, my God. You don't like that gear still.
Yeah, it just doesn't fit for the heel. What is. How much does that go for here? I'm not buying it.
I feel like jackets and all that sort of stuff is always pretty expensive on these merch sites.
$ 1. 15. Let's see. Right now, no, it doesn't look like there's any dumb bitch shirt on AWShop.
I know they did do an Okada bitch shirt pretty quickly.
There you go. The soccer jersey for Tecla sold out, though, so there you go. Oh, they have stuff that ships from Canada and then ships from USA. So now I know it's going to fuck me over when I buy a shirt. I like that note, though, at least. Like, hey, this one's going to cost more. So which one is.
Oh, look at that.
All the POC shirts ship from Canada.
Thank you, AEW. I'm looking forward to getting one of those.
There's a Will Ospreay jersey that I want to buy, but it ships from the UK. And I'm like, man, do I really want to get bent over on these prices? Like, I really, really like it, but I'm not... I don't want to do that.
The thing that I'm a little disappointed with the Pac one is it looked like on the tribute show when they were wearing them, it had like a heathery gray sort of on it.
But the shop is just like the classic.
I think there's two different ones.
There is. Yeah.
They had like the oversized tee, the thicker kind of stuff.
And I was like, I like that one.
It had that look that people do a lot nowadays where it looks like it's a worn shirt. It's an older shirt, but it's on purpose. But on the shop, it's just the logo of the classic black shirt. So I'm still buying one, but I was disappointed. But yeah, so obviously that happened. Now just by the time this episode comes out on podcast feeds a week ago, which was.
A crazy thing we'll talk about finally, I don't know, just talk about.
Some memories, then yeah, we're going to watch POC versus Orange Cassidy, just be able to vote for that, and yeah, if we like this and we might try and do that in the future, especially with the less news, we'll save, we kind of have some ideas for when we're going to save one of those longer ones for maybe a segment, so look out for that in 2027, maybe around August, but some shorter ones and whatnot are just one-offs, but yeah, last Sunday, I remember it because I was getting ready to watch Lanterns, and I have WrestlePurist's Because this is my way of trying to check social media less. I have, like, Discussing Film, a couple other news places, and Russell Pierce is on one of my accounts where it has the
notifications on that. So it's like, okay, I put my phone away and then check hours. But I had my phone there because I'm getting ready for Lantern, so I'm setting up the streaming. I'm about to watch it. And they retweeted, posted the AEW tweet of that. And what threw me off, though, because I did not know his name was even Benjamin, which is crazy because we watched.
There's some people you know their real name and some people you don't, right? Because it's just been. Adrian Neville and Pac, like, the whole time, like, before even WWE, it's Pac, right? And I always remember that as, like, being younger, I was like, oh, why did he pick Pac? Because ex-Pac, like, I was always curious, like, that always, like, bugged my brain, like, even WWE fans, I remember, like, that's why they changed it, because, like, oh, his name's Pac, like, why, so, but when they tweeted it out, I didn't know his real name, and they, the word Pac was, like, not an all fuller case, so I'm doing the classic, like, look around, make sure it's not the guy, and then unfortunately it was, and Yeah, for me, it was obviously
very weird because we just saw him wrestle. We saw him wrestle this, you know, very fun match with Andrade. And he's in great shape. He's fourth round doing all this stuff. So it was very odd. And then it's strange because for me, he was one of those guys where I saw some of the stuff in ROH. I didn't catch a lot of his stuff elsewhere. I had seen the PWG, you know, L-generical match because I can't remember which board I was on. Oh God, what was, oh, my place was Lords of Pain. I don't even, does Lords of Pain exist anymore? Lords of Pain, wrestling. That was my place, my go-to for wrestling. Now it's called Wrestling Headlines. There you go. Formerly Lords of Pain. And that guy, the word pock, the first time I ever
like heard that was one of those classics of like, have you seen this guy? Have you seen this club before social media?
It's like YouTube.
You have the grainiest videos ever. And it's like, you're just seeing cool stuff.
And that's all. I consumed a lot of like ROH and other Indies.
So like I had seen some of the stuff, but not like I, I was more familiar with the ROH, like in that punk, uh, Brian Danielson era, those guys really were prominent. And obviously punk had been around or pack had been around, but then, uh, When he was coming to NXT, I remember that being a big kind of shift because it was– or I don't even know when he was signed if it was NXT at the time.
But it just felt like, oh, that's like a WWE guy. And that was a time where– I think.
He might have been there even like– The FCW time? Yeah. But I don't think he debuted on TV like until it was NXT. But he might have been there during– yeah i think because i did see a clip funnily enough or it was it was him and and like a luke harper uh clip oh like in an fcw like just like he was i think it was pock showing someone else like how to do a superplex and they're talking about like that he was the one who like showed people how to do it because he would always hit it perfectly unlike anybody.
And that's the thing, that era of guys were in that mix of the FCW, like, NXT crossover, like, obviously all the Shield guys, Bray, like you said, Luke Harper, like, a bunch of them were all in that, like, oh, it's this thing, but it's that thing. Even the Wyatts, they were in those, like, early NXT episodes right before they went to the network and that was the big thing where he and that's where it felt different because I remember my sister watched wrestling you know almost her life but when I met Emily she started to watch wrestling because we did she had to put up with it and then she started to really like it but then we started to watch NXT because at that time the product was going quite down and that's where when
Neville won the NXT championship it felt like this shot across the battle for Triple H and NXT being like oh yeah this is the different product And I remember being like, oh, I don't know how he's going to get pushed when he gets to WWE. And that's where, too, and it was unfortunate that it worked out because he went to AEW. he came back and that's what i love about social media for these times when you get to see all these clips and moments and he turned heel i remember the whole time i kept pitching like oh man they got to put him in the cruiserweight division because they were doing nothing he got injured he came back and he was the like the early days of the bastard and And, man, that character was just
so unique. And I think it fit for not being in WWE, but I thought there was a time where they were really going to rock with him. I feel like it was kind of similar to the way they always told Bully Ray of, like, hey, this isn't going to exactly work here. But there was something there cooking, and then he came to AEW and had a great career. And, yeah, he's just a guy that he's– I think– Unfortunately now, because of the early time in his past, the only good thing of that is he will be talked about in a higher light.
I think he's one of those guys that was just so good.
People just, not took it for granted, but it's just like anytime you see Pac on a card, you're like, okay, you know, this is going to be at least like a fun match to watch. It's varying degrees of fun to good to great. He's a guy that you knew you could put in there and he's going to make someone look good. And it's just the things he would do in the ring were effortless. Like that's the thing that's crazy about it is I feel like people didn't talk about that. I'm not saying he would have been like talked about up there with the all-timers for like, oh, who's in your Mount Rushmore? But the pure in-ring skill and– just the moves you do and the fluidity, it was something special. And that's where, yeah, that show was,
that was a very tough one to watch. I agree with people where it echoed scarily a lot of the Eddie Guerrero thing because Eddie also passed, like multiple wrestlers, obviously, Benoit and Bray and, you know, Brody Lee, the past little bit of past in a manner that was, you know, abrupt, but, Something about this one, I think just because also the way his colleagues spoke about him. But no, they did a very good show. Kudos to everybody on that show who wrestled. I thought they put together a great card.
Renee had a very tough job having to read that because that's.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah.
Like kudos to her.
She's one of the best. And they did a very, very good job. I'm very surprised that already on Collision that the deaf writers are working as a tweener again because it's like. A little bang-bang gang ain't going to get cheered. But I think they did a great job to celebrate his legacy. And again, shout out. He did not have to do this. Fucking Brian Danielson, who I do think is, when we're talking about in-ring ethic as far as the match quality, is the greatest of all time.
He is like the way people talk about Flair, Michaels. He's next up in line to me in that conversation. Him showing up doing that hug spot was enough. Him getting into the wrestle and bumping the way he did, that's why. It was just a tough show because there's a lot of people that I, like, have been watching.
For me, as a kid, when I watched Attitude Era, I didn't grow up with Austin, right? Like, they were in the 80s growing up. Like, these are people that when I was in my youth, I was literally.
Seeing their first or whatever.
whatever match on the Indy, not the first match, but you know what I mean, like, these smaller, like, raising up matches to growing to where they became, and that's where some of these hit pretty hard, because, like, man, like, I shouldn't be seeing the end of his life, and, uh, yeah, it's just, it's a crazy time, so AW did a great job of, uh, tributing him, but, uh, Dave, when was the first time you heard of, uh, Pac or Neville, and, uh, yeah, just your thoughts on everything, from the passing, to his career, to the AW show, before we also do our last one?
So I first heard about him on a lot of indie stuff, and then when NXT became what it became, then I really started to see more of him as Adrian Neville. I was so happy when he became.
Cruiserweight Champion, and he had that run, and he was king of the Cruiserweights.
Absolutely, I was like, that was... Awesome.
And then his release going on to Dragon Gate and just like absolutely.
To interrupt you, I loved the King of the Cruiserweights tale. And that was such a cool, like, and he had such a, everyone's been posting that clip of him coming out with the Cruiserweights interrupting Enzo. Like he had some aura going on there, you know, like that was a good, that was a good run there.
And then his run in Dragon Gate, his unfortunate injury where he broke his leg and the bone was sticking out.
And they taped him up. And a couple months later, he's back to wrestling. The whole– everything, the buildup to Full Gear.
Because that was the early stages of AEW. And everything was built on random promos and episodes of being the elite. And just like all this shit would– Him sending in his stuff, sitting on the steps out in Newcastle and things like that.
When he's doing his pacing back and forth.
Those promos when he had the five or six pucks going on.
I was like, what's happening here?
In a good way.
And that's one of the ones. There's one. It's him. It's nighttime. He's out in Newcastle, out in the square. And he has all these... He's walking up and down the steps, and then you see all these other Pox walking by, and I was just like, man, this is so badass. And he always backed it up in the ring.
Really underrated problem with these.
And he started to show that a little bit with the King of Cruiserweights stuff, but when he did these pre-taped videos and everything, it's like, okay, there's something here that you wouldn't think of Pox early career. He was just a ring guy and then became a ring body guy. There wasn't much character. Even the NXT stuff, it's like, He's just there to be the athletic guy.
He was the mouth of the death triangle. People forget about that.
He was doing great work. Fast forward to this past weekend. We had just got home from being out of town and everything. I see the news. I turn and I say something. Ann is like, wait a minute, didn't you just watch him?
And I go, yeah, like literally was in the open, just watched him.
And she was just like shocked. And then to look up, see that, you know, he's 40 years old. I'm 40 years old. So it's one of those things of like, man, this, it, you just.
Gone too soon.
People say it all the time, but I think about the fact that, yeah, we are the same age and I could not imagine that being it for me.
So it was just, it was a sad moment.
Yeah.
And what do you think about the, obviously, I'm sure you enjoyed it, but the tribute show, what do you think about that?
I thought the tribute show was amazing.
You know, again, Renee doing her thing, but hats off to, Ospreay and Ricochet for not only putting on a banger of a match.
But then all of the callbacks that they incorporate in there. Other people did some stuff here and there, but those two really did it. And, um, hang man's promo where hang man is just like breaking down. I'm over there like shit, man, like hold it together, bro. Cause I I'm losing it. So, yeah.
Yeah.
And also Ospreay too, for doing the, the black arrow, because like, He's not supposed to be doing that stuff after his neck injury. So hopefully he doesn't, hopefully I hope he doesn't take that as like a, Oh, I'm going to do that more going forward to tribute Bach. I definitely look after your health, man. Like don't, uh, you know, maybe bust out every once in a while, a big show, but, uh, I hope not for his sake, but yeah. Yeah. What do you think? I suppose it's new or, and cause I guess, yeah, for you, when you started watching, like you, you learn him as this park, right?
Like I, and also you learn about the devil stuff and everything, but, Your introduction is as A.W. Pac, I guess, because he was obviously Pac before WWE.
I was trying to think, like, when would have been the first time I'd really seen him. Because, obviously, especially in the recent years, there was a lot of times where he would be injured or off TV and coming back.
Or visa issues and stuff.
Yeah, I don't even remember what would have necessarily been the first match I'd seen. But, obviously, you know, he was a guy that's, like, one of those things, like, I never thought, like, there would be a time where I wouldn't see... another pock match because he was just like just a very unique persona in wrestling like he said like he was the like he was the cruiserweight but he was also like a body guy and like very unique you know obviously the accent and like his promos but it was just very unique guy even just outside of the stuff he could do in the ring which obviously is stuff like No one else could replicate exactly the way he did it. Where I first learned about him, obviously, yeah, I would have been seeing it
at AEW. But, obviously, you know, it's the engagement farming clip, but, like, for a reason. Like, the near fall on Seth Rollins. Like, people say, like, the greatest near fall of all time. But it is.
It makes it ironic because of wrestling Twitter. But it is one of those when you step back and it's like, no, this near fall is, like, in the top.
Because I remember when we watched.
I always watched that live because– At that time, I moved out with Emily, but my sister would pick her up every Monday to watch Raw. We didn't watch SmackDown. SmackDown was also shit back then, but we watched Raw. But I remember that near fall because I didn't see Seth's fucking foot. So I was like, oh my God, they're doing some weird one night. With Jericho, they did that similar, not exact, but Jericho beat Triple H and later on that night he lost it. back to him so i thought oh they're doing that but i remember not seeing that foot and being like oh did the ref fuck up why didn't he count but and that's one of those they show the replay it's like incredible by him and seth you know incredible work for those
two you know so.
Good one so yeah he was just always someone and and i did say i'll say i'm lucky to have been there this earlier this year for Seeing him versus Darby Allin in person on the golf course, that's definitely a match I'll never forget. And even the clips that I film, I saw some accounts posting them and it was going around when people were... talking about that match but definitely yeah just and that match showed like you know he could do just all the stuff he could do you know the hard hitting matches you know the hard promos but he can also just do this goofy match where he's throwing Darby Allin into the sand and putting the rings of Saturn on him in the sand pit and just laughing and stuff like that.
Even before his passing, that match became like an instant classic in a way where anytime you think of AEW, whether they go for 20 years or they end in five years, whatever happens, people are going to talk about that golf club match because It's like The.
Rock and Mick Foley backstage. There's certain ones that just.
Or even the first ever same stampede where it's all the elite with their broomsticks and Matt Hardy with all... There's certain times where those happen. And that's where I loved Darby's story about him saying, oh, he's going to go pitch Pac, his ideas. And he's thinking Pac's going to shoot this all down and not want to do any of it. And he's like, yeah, sure, let's do it.
And that's where it's cool because... There's definitely some people that's going to be like, yeah, I don't want to do that silly shit. But it's like, sure, it's silly. But, like, they made it work. And it's just like those are moments that stand out because it's a cool fucking arena. And it was a fun, like, good weapons four-star match.
So it's like it just added to Darby's run so much, you know?
Yeah.
Even at the time, like, people were definitely putting that up there as one of his, like, if not the best one, at least. Probably the most memorable of his title ranges because it was so different from, like, really any other match that's probably been ever done on, like, a wrestling TV show in general. And so, yeah, and hearing the news, I had just come out of the movie theater when I got the news. So it was kind of– it was definitely really sad because, I don't know, like I said, it's just something you– don't think about it.
And the rest of that night, I was just kind of hoping for, it's like, you keep looking at the news and it's like, sort of in the back of your mind, you're wishing that like, you know, someone's going to pull something that it wasn't true. Yeah.
Yeah. Yeah.
So no, yeah, it's, it was, it, that was a tough show, but it's a good show that they did. And I'm, I guess I had for the town and yeah, no box. That's always the unfortunate stuff, right? That when these people pass away at this age, um, you want them to live the rest of their life, but you hope now that people will remember this guy and character.
And it's great that, you know, people attribute them to both companies.
It's great to see.
Yeah, and there's really, it's like one of those things, like, literally haven't seen a single person say anything negative about him. Like, every story has been like, He was just one of the best guys to work with or just know in general.
But to that point, Eddie Kingston's post about if I ever pass away and you see someone that you know didn't like me talking good about me, I was like, oh shit, Eddie is on one today.
He seems like he's always on one recently. He's a character, Eddie Kingston. So what we're doing is, we're doing this for the first time ever. They didn't put entrances. This is the full match, so we're going to watch it here. If it gets taken down, I'll figure it out after I get the recording. We'll see what happens.
That's what I was going to ask. We're just going to watch it.
Worst case, what happens if this is recorded?
I just re-upload the episode and I put this up separately and stuff.
So we'll see. Cause you know, we could watch it there, but you know, it's good to have it here.
So yeah, we're going to be watching POC versus Orange Cast. This is revolution 2020. So I guess, yeah, this is cause just seeing this crap, like when, when exactly?
Right before the pandemic. Really?
Yeah.
That is fucking crazy.
Cause everything shuts down. Like, February, right? Or March? No, no, no.
Things broke out in March and then just depending on timing, but it was like late March, early April is when everything... really happen i always just.
Think about it in uh in comparison like birds of prey i always remember birds of prey is the last thing i saw in theaters and then like oh we got all these reviews coming up and then covid happened that was february but yeah you're right march april so yeah this was that's that's another that's a crazy element too.
Because february 29th 2020 because i've not watched this match since then but that's where this is a match without the crowd definitely doesn't probably play as well first aw pandemic empty arena was exactly one month after march 18 2020 okay because yeah this is their last pay-per-view before uh they went to no crowds.
Yeah and and also you said i'm sure some people know the story and if you don't but like The big thing with this is because– and with Orange, I knew this, but I didn't see most of it. For AEW, this was like the first time. It's like, oh, we're going to have Orange Cassidy on pay-per-view in the singles.
And you're going to see him actually wrestle, wrestle for a bit. Because for the beginning of AEW, he was just, you're going to be a comedy guy and do these things. Then they slowly got to the point where he's having these main event 45-minute matches. But this was like a coming-out party for him.
He would bust out with a move here and there, like, you know– I didn't know it's just do the running tope with his hands in the pocket, but he was never like full on. I'm going to string together a sequence of moves.
And this was definitely the Orange Cassidy coming out party. And Pac was like the perfect opponent for this, just the way that he plays into this.
But it still makes it a great match.
And shout out also to the tribute show. Him and Moxley's match, I really enjoyed. Cassie looked like a fucking wreck before there. TK said anyone that wrestled wanted to be there. But man, it looked like he was really going through it. But they had some fun. And I really liked the pocket spot. And Moxley was doing the little kicks and everything like that. I thought Moxley was going to put his hands in his pockets. I thought they were just going to headbutt it off or something like that. But he hit him with the double birds. Yeah.
Yeah, so here you go.
We're going to watch this. We're going to talk over this. We'll have a little bit of the audio, not too loud so you can hear us. But, yeah, they don't have the entrances on here, but they got the match. And this is, like, the clip of this, the clip of this is, like, I think it's the second most viewed clip on AW YouTube. It's, like, 45 million, like, when it first came out. So that's the thing. Like, Orange Cassie YouTube clips.
Oh, yeah. He's the king of those. Like, him and, you know, he got, like, he got, like, a whole, like, three-month storyline with Tony Storm off, like, You know, one of those Instagram clips getting, like, 200 million views or something.
He's like the WWE, like, arm wrestling.
Yeah.
You know?
Yeah, or, like, any, what's his name? You know, Braun Strowman matches get a bunch of views on YouTube. Great Khali. Great Khali. He's the real king of the YouTube clips. I'm digging this, guys.
And, yeah, that's where it's great about feeding into this.
But, yeah, I guess this is still Cassie and the Best Friends era, too. You've got Trent Barretta and you've got, I don't know if I've got his name. He's retired now.
What's his name? I really forgot his name right now.
David, do you remember his name? Trent Barretta's old partner. He's like the whirly-whirled pyro driver.
He got injured.
Chuck.
Chuck Taylor.
Chuck Taylor, yeah, yeah. There we go. We got there. Well, he let it go on for a little while. i don't know if it's uh just the conversion they have for this or it's a man this arena is like super bright.
Like yeah i think i think it's just the lighting around this time yeah like early aw is very very bright like yes i feel yeah it's because they had those they had those like Raw, SmackDown, or you're going to sell it all the time.
They're just trying to show those off. That's where it's great. You're doing the classic. Okay. He'll feel asshole. He thinks he's got the upper hand. He's cheating. This is a joke. And that's where it works. And Orange Cassidy's starting to wrestle now because it's like, okay, now he can do all this stuff. Pac can do all the flippy stuff with him and everything. Oh, we're going to get a Pac.
As you can see, I don't have a YouTube premium, but, you know, there you go.
How I built a whole website.
As somebody who refuses to pay for a YouTube premium, I get it.
Everybody on my phone, I use ProTube. ProTube is what you use.
So here we go.
We're back to it. Tilt World Backbreaker. One of my favorite moves of all time. I love doing that to my kids. That's a go-to. When they run me and flip them easily. As a warning, we might have two to three more ad breaks, because.
Look at those fucking... I don't.
Know, that's like the AI synopsis. Oh, you're right. Now in every video it gives a breakdown of what's going on.
I will say, kind of funny, I watched the.
Omega versus Pac the first uh all-out match oh yeah and yeah and yeah it's one of those where like JR on commentary was just making me laugh with what do you want those guys are you he doesn't really know know the guy like he sort of knows him but he just kept calling him this kid the whole.
Time right I remember yeah that coming up yeah Yeah, because that was a situation, honestly, I'm sure people remember, but that was supposed to be Kenny and Moxley, and then Moxley got hurt, so then Pac came out of nowhere, and then good on Kenny. Two pay-per-views in a row, well, three pay-per-views in a row. He lost Jericho, he lost to Pac, lost to Moxley, he was putting over a lot of people. Oh, and that did a lot for Pac, you know, to knock over, like, the top four draws, you know.
Sliding out of the one-winged angel, and then going into the submission, like, he got massive hit off of that.
They are squarely ahead. I'm not sure. I feel like I've read this sometime. You guys probably remember more than me of like Kenny and the Bucks like obviously being the EVPs didn't want to like book themselves to just kind of like win everything at the start of.
The day and then after year or a little less I think everyone was like you guys have been too hard on Kenny because it's to the point where it's like okay now you guys are just like losers you're just like losing to everybody.
The crowd wanted them to have the belts at this point so they kind of had to.
The head of Orange Cassidy the year.
I think it's as if Pat flew in from England and had a middle seat.
And then yeah you got Pac he's gonna slam him and that's the thing with Pac that's what I mean where how I think we didn't appreciate some of the stuff enough and with other talent he's gonna slam him and you know like I think he's gonna get interrupted here but he's just gonna go up top and do some bullshit and do it like easily they make it look like it's the easiest thing in the world and it's like you know okay that was just a drop kick but still great shotgun drop kick but athletic strong And the facials, man. Again, people thought how nice he was, his smile and stuff. He had great facials for the bastard and all the movements he would do. Again, very underrated character guy, because in WWE he got a little
bit of that, but not too much until the King of the Cruiserweights time. I know he's from Newcastle. If I didn't know any better, I'd say he's from a town called Malice. I know a girl named Alice once.
Oh, God. J.R. Horny J.R. strikes again.
Yeah. A.W. J.R.
Is something.
Because even in New Japan, he wasn't like this. But I think it was in A.W. They were just like, yeah, you just be you, Jim. And then they go, all right.
He's like, have you seen my Twitter feed? Do you really want me to be me?
Yeah. But you know what?
Show J.R.
Hope he's doing well.
And you know what?
This was a good situation, too, for Pa.
Because obviously this happens a few times in the game. That powerbomb was great. That sit-out powerbomb.
Yeah.
Looking like 05 Batista over there.
But that's the thing.
With his body and then with some of the other smaller guys in AW, he got to be the powerhouse wrestler sometimes.
Which, that's... Yeah.
He can't control this. Pac, not a super tall guy, right? So there's very few times a guy his height could be like the powerhouse guy. There's a couple people like Jonathan Grisham that get really big.
But that's the thing about Pac is he could be the technical guy. He could be the high flyer. He could be the submission guy.
And then situations like this, he's just the bully big guy heel who, he's just, he's doing a sit-out powerbomb, which, like, you look at him, ah, he shouldn't be doing a powerbomb, but it works with Cassidy, right?
So. Yeah.
I hope he's got some pulp left. Either that or some intestinal fortitude. And even then, like, when I saw the runtime, like, obviously, because entrances and stuff, but seeing a 12-minute match on AEW, it was like, I was.
Definitely rare for these days.
Crazy. Crazy. Also, he's OC, like, he was one of his first ones, but still, it's like, You rarely see that nowadays.
I'll have to look at how many matches are on this card. Was AEW always with the 10 matches on the card? I'd have to look at the card for this one.
It felt like they might have, but it felt like they weren't as long. I don't know if you can back me up on that, David. I felt like they were like, everybody can go out and have an epic, where before....
The thing is, before, they only had four a year. They were spaced out.
It made sense to have seven, eight matches, and they are huge blow-offs. They all mean something, as opposed to going monthly now. It's just like, why are we going 40 minutes every main event?
You don't need it.
Listen to this card, though, David. Jack Hager and Jake Hager, Dustin Rhodes, 14 minutes. Darby and Sammy, 5 minutes. Kenny and Hangman versus the Bucs, 30. Nyla Rose versus Chris Statliner, 12. This was.
That Kenny and the Bucs one was match of the year.
Yeah, MJF versus Cody, 24, and Moxley, Jericho, 22. So, like, there's other matches.
And a few short ones, and then, like, a couple 30-minute ones. So it's definitely spaced out.
But that's why, to Dave's point, I don't understand. Like, these should have been the shows that were 18 hours. And then when you do more shows, those should be shorter. But it's not. But obviously on, again, for we talked about a little bit on the tribute show, Moxley and Orange Cassidy tribute this spot, too. Him just throwing them out, rolling back in, you know. And I love Bryce.
Rimsburg's looks throughout all of this as he's just playing.
Along with this. Oh, there you go. Go to Indeed.
You're looking for something else, but....
Both good reactions there from both gentlemen. What do we got now? Play for free on PC. Wargaming.
This is definitely a fake game.
Yeah, AI generated. I'll get back to this.
Cassidy's comeback says the AI.
In great spot. Pissing off the crowd.
He's being all cheeky with them.
And here he is, fired up.
Suicide job i will say i always like these types of barricades more than the led ones i guess because especially like with stuff yeah there's the ddt cell where he like he puts his arches up yeah i like these barricades like for stuff like that like i i do love the visual i don't know i'm sure they probably got sued a couple times in various companies but i do love the visual of like The barricade getting pushed back when someone gets thrown into it.
And that's one of the things I've always loved about Japan is their barricade spots and how they use it. Because they have the exposed rails just showing on their barricades.
Or a lot of times they just don't have barricades. It's just the fans sitting in the front row people get. In joshi companies, one of the top factions, their heel move in every single match is... they clear the fans out of the way and like throw them into the chairs yeah but that it's like uh or like in lucha underground like how they do that with the chairs but uh yeah i i do like that visual too but yeah obviously there was even an incident like pretty recently of like them trying to do that spot and like some fan just didn't want to move from their seat and got to like a like not a fight but like a verbal or fight with the wrestlers they're just trying to Get them out of their seats so they can get thrown into the chairs.
I feel like that's one orange I haven't seen in a while. It's like the light punches that he was doing. It's always the kicks, but I feel like those are a bit more.
Yeah, the light hand open punches.
Yeah. Orange crush or whatever it's called, right?
The orange punch.
The orange punch, thank you. He was spamming on Moxley this week on the tribute show. I think he got like four of them in there. I kind of forgot that says... finish i guess some dog because he just hasn't been winning matches i kind of forgot about.
It no i because like because technically it's a role of it like the the like the uh what's it called the seat belt uh yeah right and it's technically his finisher oh got crotched for the magic to really come to fruition there's been a lot of magic and he also has like the uh Sort of like the, similar to like the Dead Eye that he does.
Right, yeah, yeah.
It's called the, I forget what that one's called. I keep thinking it's called Beach Break, but I think that's Joey Janela's finisher. Yeah, that's Joey Janela's.
He had the Slumdog Millionaire, that was his popover stunner.
They do a good job here making you think Orange is going to pull it. Yeah. Like, okay, he's going to get in and... Man, Pac just taking DDTs all over in this fight.
That's the third DDT he's taking.
Oh, that's a.
I forgot about that. That's a great... That's a fun, like, callback.
And, man, I.
I missed the ramp that was right outside.
What's his baby face doing in here? Wow, you motherfucker.
You're like Liz blatant cheating right here.
There it is.
Orange something.
Yeah, I'll go back. I'll go back. I'll see what the X got.
They called it the Air Raid Crash.
Oh, the Air Raid Crash! The Air Raid Crash. Because it didn't have a name. But I do think it has a name. I just can't remember it right now.
Yeah. I think now that Tommaso's in there, he's probably got it under a different name because Tommaso uses that.
Oh, the dash triangle. We were just talking about them. Look at this bullshit. I'm going to go back. Why?
I'm already past you and said he's just hitting you from behind. Do some footy shit.
That is prime AEW Phoenix where he was just doing whatever every match.
You had a clear shot from behind.
What should be happening in this spot is when he's running, Trent should turn and then raise behind him and he turns again. But the whole time, Trent just looks. And yeah, why wouldn't you just outright just hit him from behind? You could nut shot him. You're not in the match. That's funny. That's great.
Oh, I forgot about this completely.
I guess, were they the desk triangle already at this point?
If they weren't, they're starting to... Well, I think they were kind of like.
I think for a while they were attached, but then because of.
Because that's what I was thinking, because in the full... Is it frozen? Oh, no, it's fine. But in the full gear match, they bring out the tag team stats, and they already have like... together as a trio. I think they were just.
Aligned at this point, but they weren't the death triangle.
They probably had matches, but not the name.
Because I remember people were talking about this how, oh, man, that's the bad one, too.
Instant, instant there.
That's like the Kurt angle, like when he locks the legs around the ankle.
If Paul cuts you up like that.
But, no, it was talked about this week that I don't know if this would ever come up on the show, but when they originally made.
Look at that, 45 million views right there for the kick.
That's crazy. That's crazy, you know.
Go to the aw channel and go to the most yeah sure now i'm curious.
When they did the trios title though supposedly the working theory i guess was that actually they made the titles and they sat like for a long time not being used they made the belts great and the idea was that jeff triangle was supposed to be the original winners and then they just things didn't work out so that's why i think That's.
The same thing to the women's tag team titles. The word was like they'd been made for like over a year before they got introduced.
And that's where apparently Def Triangle was at one point penciled in. So I'm not sure if it was injury or if he got like a visa.
Orange Cassidy has four of the top six videos of that.
You got Cody Rhodes versus Orange Cassidy online exclusive. It's just a kid dressed as Orange Cassidy. Like, why is that? Why is that the most popular?
That was prime 2019 AEW.
We got CM Punk returning down there. Yeah, we got CM Punk returning down there. But it's Orange Cassidy kid, you know? So you got Orange Cassidy kid. What's the top ten? So then you got, yeah, you got the OC pop, like, stare down. Yeah, and then you got the... shocking conclusion. It's just Kenny and them holding barbed wire.
You got Seampunk returning, which is amazing.
Orange Cassidy has five out of the top ten.
You got something with like a tape, just.
It's literally Billy Gunn. Is that Billy Gunn, I think?
Like, look at this. Orange Cassie's name isn't even the fucking title of this video.
He's in the thumbnail.
He's in the thumbnail. The title is Hangman Page MJF First Ever Diamond Battle Royale. But he's in there.
Look, it's literally the same thumbnail. It's that same shot.
It's the classic Rey Mysterio and Great Khali type thumbnail. You put him with the big guy.
And then you have Orange Cassidy goes hunting. It's him and Luchasaurus. And you've got the Inner Circle versus Joe Moxley. Wait until you see what happens with Jericho. It's Orange Cassidy. Wait a minute.
5.7 million for a random Orange Cassidy versus Serpentico from AEW Dark.
Hey dark sometimes pulled some numbers yeah it's right there man he was he was doing it was mike what happened mike tyson stepped in the ring oh this hey this is i suppose i know you're not a fan this is when travis was prime willer yuta fan club this this storyline four years ago of him joining the bcc my i was i was like he's my top fighter now i fucking love willer yuta and they kind of They kind of botched it a little bit.
Yeah, he got nerfed way after joining.
But that year of them just beating him up, what did you say, I suppose?
Oh, the Cope debut. Yeah, Cope.
I was there for that.
Moxley with one eye.
I actually thought this promo had more of the MGF Punk one because I feel like on my YouTube it gets recommended to me. all the time for some reason you know also you've seen i've watched some stuff before man always say it i fucking miss cm punk aw so much man i i miss i miss it so much i miss there's so much we should have got but.
Yeah there you go the soraya rules match i think that's her last aw match and it's like it's like that stipulation like i think uh ziggler did it one time where like The heel can just make up the rules of the match as they go along. Like, oh, now it's an ODQ. Now I can get a pin anywhere. Now I can use weapons.
And that is the highest women's AEW match for the popularity on there. Crazy.
Go to shorts. I want to see the shorts because the shorts can do some crazy numbers as well.
Okay, shorts.
So Jon Moxley was ready. These are still lower. I don't think they.
Have their shorts.
I was like, they're missing some of the shorts.
So that makes sense.
The spike, the spike, that is an awful thing. What is this? What happened? Just looking. Big Cass has like almost 40 million. It's just because he could pick up Big Cass. YouTube algorithms are crazy.
This is prime hook, like when Eboo was saying he was the next Goldberg.
Yeah, I was kind of with him. I wasn't saying next Goldberg, but I was on that hype train. But yeah, you got that. You have Orange Cassidy and Tony Storm, like I was talking about.
You got Mark Briscoe saying he's tired of something.
He's tired of dealing with clowns.
I don't remember what this would have been. Clowns. Rick DeShay, maybe like that feud. Yeah.
You got just two clips of Tony Storm.
Yeah. So Orange, he has some up in the shorts, but he's definitely more the long-form video guy. But Hook's more the shorts guy.
I feel like Instagram OC does some numbers.
Yeah. Well, there you go. What does Cope have there for what's in the shorts? Right place, wrong time? What is this? What's this Cope clip?
Oh, this is the Revolution Edge.
Oh, I get it.
It's the Christian finish, right?
Yeah.
Cope wouldn't take the pin, so.
Christian came in. Yeah.
Did Christian, he tapped out, right? He didn't even pass out? Is that what he tapped out?
I think he did. Or did he at least pass out?
He at least had the dignity of, like, I'm not tapping, brother, but there you go.
That might be a future of watch long and error now.
That's a painful one, but it might have to, but there you go.
Some news.
Nice look down memory lane. Talking about Pollock. But, yeah, go back, watch some of the matches. I'm doing the same thing I suppose. I'm creating a list. I want to go back and watch some, but, yeah.
Go watch some. If you haven't, he's got a long career.
Tons of stuff. You'll find something to enjoy. So shout out to Pac. Best wishes to his family and his friends and everything. That's the tough one. That guy's not going to be forgotten. He was not in some classic promo or classic feud.
It's in this Mount Rushmore people talk about.
But it doesn't matter. These people that are these ring generals and have this... lasting effect on the wrestlers. They're going to always bring them up. Oh, fucking Pac was one of the best, man. And he was.
So, like I said, we will be back in two weeks.
We're going to do a hybrid episode of a Street Fighter review, and then we're going to talk about whatever. We'll do a GMO at some point, and then once we get these pay reviews wrong, we'll get more on our back consistent schedule. But, yeah, that's next. We'll be back.
Thank you very much for listening.
Love you all. We'll be here for next. It'll not be boring.
Bye.
