It reminded me of, you paid for my muffin?

You hitting on me? Trying to fuck me? Yeah. Well, yeah. Luckily, I got a text back. I would have felt really bad with no text back. But yeah, people, well, again, I don't know. I guess nowadays in restaurants, it's still going on. So dating, I feel like, is completely different now. I have no idea. If I was single, it would be a nightmare. But if you're out there and you're going to restaurants, you know, use that. It's a good icebreaker, you know. But at the same time, you might still need to interact with that person at first. That was the advantage I had is that I, you know... Like, we had a mini conversation, so... Yeah.

All right, let's... Well, let's... What if you, like... Like, did you know what the bill was? Like, what if it was like, here, here's my credit card.

I didn't care at that point.

And she's like, oh, I... She bought seven $ 7, 000 bottles of champagne.

I do think there was part of her that....

Like the waitress or whoever? Who's her.

Waitress?

You said part of her.

Yeah, like the person I bought the meal for.

Yeah, but she didn't know until... after you did it right no but like the.

Waiter still said hey that guy the tape like here's the number and the guy that was sitting beside you paid i said like hey and.

You were like the guy here in the yeah no i was out of there i was i was out of there i wasn't gonna sit around all night and just wait and see if she texted me no i was out there and then she texted me after um no i i think when that happened which here's i'll say is a negative thing and that's what you got to be careful on I think what happened after was I think she thought I was.

A lot more well off than I, uh, appeared to be like, and don't be wrong. I'd be, I'm fine. I still pay for meals and stuff like that. But I don't think it's like, I think when she eventually came to pick me up from a date in my mom's townhouse, she was like, Oh, this is not a way.

You still got a date out of it though.

So that too, the first one, I think we've talked about this before, but if not the first one, she brought her sister on.

Oh man. Funny enough, that happened to Hidalgo's brother. I think he was, like, meeting someone on Tinder. And he, like, went to meet them. And there was, like, a friend there, like, with this person. And he just bounced. He, like, literally didn't even interact. Like, he just saw them and then he just left. And I'm like, fair.

Yeah. I didn't know all this because she was going to pick me up because I think I said I didn't drive. And, you know, who knows? Maybe she thought I was a bad boy. License suspended. I was like, no, I just don't drive. But... I guess she picks me up and yeah, her sister's just in the back track. Like, Oh, I hope you don't mind. Like, and she wasn't like that much. Yeah. Like she, it wasn't like, Oh, I got to watch my little sister. It was like, this person could clearly still be at home. Like they do. Yeah, she did. And that was fine. But it was like, we were in a public place. Like it wasn't like, I guess I kind of understood. Cause it was like, Hey, maybe it's this guy. He gave me his number. I

didn't interact with him much. Can you come with me? So it's fine. And then we did that. And then we did like another date where we went to like a drive and a beach. And then, Lots of texting. And then that sputtered out because they were, I liked to party and go out. They were a very big party animal and like to go out in a way where it's like, okay, this is a, you know, we're on different paths here. Like, I think that is the type of person where they were never like pressuring me to drink, but it's like, you would have to be on their level to maybe have a good time. Cause the whole time you'd be like, oh, you're just really fucked up right now. You know, like you would have to be fucked up to be like, yeah, we're having

a great time. Woo. It's like, it was too much, you know? But then, again, eventually I did use her for the drama for the house party. Cause we weren't really dating in that part. And then, um, I was like, well, I'm going to invite her over. I did it in a stupid sly way where I texted her about the party.

And then, cause I had no reason to, it was best by people. I'm like, oh shit, I text you accidentally. Sorry. I meant to send this to a different person with the name and then started talking like, oh, if you want to come, you can, it's a birthday. And you know, the rest was history.

So nice. That reminds me a lot of, uh, I famously got a woman's number when I worked at Target, actually. I think Taylor actually got the number from her. It was me.

I paid for the bill.

You catfished me, too. It actually wasn't her. Have a good day. Now, knowing you, I would believe that in hindsight, because you fucked with Taylor many times in the past. But at that time, I didn't know that you had those tricks up your sleeve. But no, good-looking lady, for sure.

You know, we.

definitely hitting it off back and forth but it was like once we actually like well more from my side once i like knew this person a little bit more it's like man we are so different like not even like like type of person it's like going like sunday like morning runs after church like with family and stuff like that which is totally fine you know nothing against people that go to church but it's like that is so not my life at all and like very like clean clean everything and i think i was just a wild boy at that point in time in my life, which is totally fair. But it was like very early on.

Like once I learned who they were, it's like, yeah, this isn't, this isn't going to happen. This is going to fizzle out here for sure.

Yeah. No, it's funny how that like, there's like the, you get like the few meetings or dates when you're like not fantasized and be like, Oh, well we, you know, she lasted this joke. This is funny. And then that can go away very quickly on both sides. Cause that happened to me once too. Again, in the Best Buy era, there was this girl where, yeah, the ick for some reason, this person happened to me too, where, She was a worker at Dairy Queen, and she was like... We always used to call her the Italian queen. She was an Italian girl.

There's always such beautiful people working at Dairy Queen.

I know, right?

All the girls that worked at Dairy Queen.

Yeah. And then they threw the boys in the back making the fucking blizzards. Oh, 100%.

There was never a boy in the front.

They'd only come up to fix the machine and be like, get back there! No one wants a fucking Goonies!

Like Chonk from the fucking Goonies.

Yeah, get the hot Italian worker out. But anyway, so... So this is so funny. Again, small world. So this girl, and I know she's not going to say her name. This girl, she worked at Dairy Queen, and we always chatted up every once in a while. And same thing, it's like I never, like, two places I don't like, I really, this is the only time I think I did it. I would never ask anyone out of the gym, which I don't go, I didn't go to the gym much back then. I worked at home. But, like, the gym and the place of work, because you just don't, like, I don't, like, that's just a very like awkward place to do it. Right. Like if you work with them, that's fine. But I mean like, this is a person that works at Dairy Queen. I don't want to like

ruin her day. Right. But it's like, okay, I've been there enough times of talking to her. Maybe there's a shot. And I do it, I get her number and we're talking, hitting off. And it would be like every couple of days, like talking. And then just one day, it's just like, Hey, you don't have to message me every few days. I was like, okay. Like, okay. Like, first of all, you could say that nicely. And second of all, it was like, yeah, I'm not your girlfriend or anything. I was like, okay.

That's fine. And clearly it's like we were talking about going on a date and she had agreed to that. And I was in Vancouver for a few weeks and literally felt like we were talking like, because that always happens. We get someone's number and if it's a good conversation, you're going back and forth. It felt like that was good.

And then all of a sudden it was just gone. I don't know if there was another guy or it was an ache situation. And it was weird. It went from like 100 to zero. So I was like, okay. And it sucked because she worked at the fucking Dairy Queen in the mall. So like I had to stop going there for a little bit because it was just like super awkward. And then... this is a full circle in this story, my friend, the friend that's going to Australia, in the time we weren't friends, they became friends, her and the Dairy Queen girl. So when I go to the going away party for this girl, I'm there with Emily, sitting down at the table, we're late, I'm looking down at the end of the table, I see Australia girl,

I wave, and just to her left, I see the Dairy Queen girl, and then it's just, and I whisper to her, I'm like, oh my god, and luckily at this point, I had Emily, it didn't matter, but it was just another full circle of like, why is the Dairy Queen girl here? And they met in a different way. They didn't even met through like the Dairy Queen thing.

They didn't even know like, they just like met at a party. And I was like, why is the Dairy Queen girl that I had an awkward, like few weeks interaction with just here now, you know? And now it's like this girl that like I was friendly with and we had something that's gone. This Dairy Queen girl. And now it's Emily. It's just like, there was too much going on. There was a lot of stuff, but we just, the good thing is it was like me, Emily, Kyle, Nick, and a few other people. And it was definitely like one of those Custard Dome situations where, sometimes at the custard dome you know where dylan and tyler used to live it'd be like oh everyone's driving together and then sometimes it's like here's your six factions and they're all

separated totally that's what that was and it was like because me and her were newly like back to being friends but i was also in dating emily so it's like obviously my focus is more on emily so it was definitely just like us at the end the table like we're doing our own thing like we barely hung out with that side of the table and eventually oh yeah bye have a good time and stuff but yeah it was just And it's so funny because it felt like Cologne was such a small world. And now I feel like I bump into nobody other than my mom's ex, who, of course, is a Pac-Man writer at school. Never get rid of him.

Never get rid of him.

Oh, right. I forgot to tell you this. Okay. So you remember Vine back in the day?

Oh, dude. Come on.

Yeah.

I was a huge Vine enjoyer.

So I have no problem explaining this because I was young and dumb and everything like that. So we made a joke. Me and my friend made a joke find. When I was out of there, I was leaving. So I was dicking around, of course. And I made a Vine saying, like, who can avoid more customers? And it was a joke find that was me and him. And then eventually at one point I got a video of him talking to this customer and he looked really disappointed about it. I left Best Buy at some point. This was after they had broken up. He went to my boss and said, oh, have you seen this? Have you seen this Vine?

This guy that's dating your mom?

I bought this guy fucking Christmas presents, and he did this. God, that's so wild. He was, and I don't know if he is, a big brown nose, or very much just trying to get in the way. And eventually that got back to me, and I was so annoyed. At the end of the day, it didn't matter. But then, so of course... we go to schooling and we see him years later. Right. And I'm always trying to avoid him.

I see another corner of my eye. I'm trying to avoid him. But once I find out, okay, he has, he had another kid. So I'm like, okay, I'm going to be seeing this guy for at least another like five to 10 years. Okay. It's not going to be as bad. Um, but I would still avoid him. Like I have nothing to say to you. Uh, one time of the week we saw each other at the mall and he said, hi. And I just kind of pretend like I didn't hear him. But it was a Howling Monster bash a couple years ago. We're going in the car and it's complete darkness. I can't see anything. We're getting in the car and then I think we had the three kids. So I'm looking behind me. It's like Emily is up there with Ellie and Logan and Gwen's

behind me. So I go to look at Gwen and she's there and I get her. And there's a guy... behind me so then I just see that and I look away and I keep walking we get in the car and I was like man you were really like a dick to the guy there like the former ex I'm like what do you mean She's like, well, you looked right at him and he waved at you. And then you just looked away. I legitimately had no idea it was him. And I didn't even see him wave because it was so dark. So you're like, oh, man.

And I just look apparently like in the point of view is like I was looking back. He waved and I just looked away like a completely like me like gunslinger like that. I was like, no, don't worry. I'm over this Best Buy Vine drama from seven years ago. But I felt like a little that and then so funny. And then of course, eventually we, I didn't want to hate the guy, but I also didn't want to talk guy.

But of course when we had the twins, Emily was at home cause she had her C-section. So I had to pick up the girls. And of course he cornered me. I was like, Oh, I heard you guys had twins. Cause I get, he knew Emily too. And like the first time we talked, I was like, okay, and I'll update you. I'm sure I'll, I'm sure I'll see him tomorrow.

And you know, there he is. So that's funny. He's doing, he's doing good. He's got a wife and kids and stuff. And, uh, But yeah. And that's, I mean, other than that, I feel like I haven't had that. I haven't bumped into a lot of people from, I've seen like a couple of people from high school that have kids now, but no one like that I had drawn, which is like, oh yeah, we went to grade six and you have kids.

And oh yeah, we went to middle school, like high school and you have a kid now. So, but no, I felt like there was a period in like 2011 to about like 2014 where I was bumping into like school, Best Buy or other people like all the time. And I guess I was going out more, but it was in spots where like, me and Emily bumped into someone like a, like when we were pretending, not pretending, we weren't telling anyone at Best Buy we were dating. Of course we bumped into the guy, like someone at Best Buy in the parking lot, just like getting groceries. Where nowadays, like I don't, like I don't see anybody I know in like a past life or right now, like just the few times I do go out. So I don't know what that is. I don't know what that is.

Maybe it's just, I know I go out less, but still I felt like I saw people a lot more and these are people that I know that haven't moved or anything. So I don't know. Who knows? Who knows? Who knows? All right, let's get to the topic.

Let's start this episode, yeah.

Yeah, I don't think we're going to get to Mays. We're going to get to what we talk about. I'm going to kick the Canadian elections thing. Do you vote yet? No.

Are we allowed to? Yeah, advance voting. Oh, okay, no. I didn't know.

Yeah, I'm sorry. No, we went to today, but where I am, where I'm supposed to vote, it's like near Lake Country.

Holy man.

So we're like, we're not going there because we're in like a different like bracket or anything.

So. I haven't even seen my card. I guess I should check the mail. It's probably chilling in there.

It should be in there, yeah. We'll have to wait. Maybe we'll wait until Taylor gets on because Taylor was all hubbub. He's like, you guys did a political episode without me? And we're like, yeah, that's for the best.

Every episode is not on.

Yeah, we do a political episode. We just don't know what he's going to say. But no, what I was going to pitch, and I found a link, but in the future I want to do it, is because sometimes we're like, oh, well, what about this? What about that? For this election, they have 16 questions, and you answer them.

And it'll base of, like, who they think is the person you should be voting for.

Oh, that's kind of funny, actually.

I want to do that one time live on air and see where it is and see what we could do. Because this episode's going long. I'm not going to do that. But, you know, go out there and vote. Kelowna doesn't give a fuck about voting. Did you see that guy that got elected for Kelowna Council?

Yeah, Brady Rogers or whatever the fuck his name was.

Yeah, making, like, global news and stuff. Like, when Clay shared that in chat. That's crazy. Yeah.

I saw him on like a, like a main meme page that I follow on. And he was just on there. I was like, Holy fuck. That's wild. I mean, good for him.

Right.

It's definitely a good strategy. Clearly a lot of people don't give a fuck about politics. They see this guy. They're like, hell yeah. I like this.

Make the worst decisions, you know.

Just like full fascist dictator, like just extreme.

He's like, you guys don't like that dock on the, at the beach. We're adding another dock. We're going to blow it up.

It's just like, no, it's, it's extreme in that sense.

There's a second dock.

Just, So there's a second doc. I fucking hate the way that our voting system works, though, because you don't actually vote, like, for your provincial person. You vote for your region. And then depending on how many, like, proportion of it. Yeah. Like, that's who actually wins. So it's like, what happens if I fucking hate my regional person, but I want, like, the overall province to be, like, you know, whatever side. Like, it's so... Yeah. Convoluted.

And you have to like, unfortunately in that situation, I guess for me, like I have no problem saying I usually just vote for the person, even if I don't like them per se. And I think a lot of.

People do that. You should be voting for the policy, not the person.

Yeah. And also depends. Right. But again, like most of the time I'm, I'm voting left leaning. So like, they're not like, Hey, you know, these fucking gay people, let's get rid of them. Like, no, like usually that's not coming out.

So like, that's one of the questions on the 16th. Yeah.

Yeah. What should we do? The gay people? It's like, bring more. I don't know. Like who cares?

Um, is Saturday.

Okay. Yeah. It's Saturday. So yeah, we're going to try and do that. But, um, yeah, no, I, I luckily haven't done that. And like I said, I, I try and that's why I want to do it. Cause I said before, I'm less into Canadian politics. Cause I guess I should stop saying this. Cause now me and Emily have been together for what?

2012.

So what's November, 2012. So now God, what was that? 30, 14 years coming up. But like, I was fully ready to move the States before we started dating. So I like completely ignored Canadian politics, didn't learn anything about it and just learned all about American politics. Cause like, that's where I'm going to be living. I'm very happy. Don't get me wrong. This is a great place in America to live. And I have friends out there and family too, but I'm very happy. I stayed in Canada cause for a multitude of reasons. Um, so, but I still am like, I won't say a rookie, but I still am not the greatest on, uh, that type of stuff other than, you know, when Taylor shares a headline and all this person said this and I go, Hey, in this article,

where do they say this? It's like, Oh, well, The headlines just insinuating their thoughts. Like, all right, man. All right, sir. Where's that Bigfoot update?

What would you say?

Remember in our GB3 when he said someone used the word invasion?

And I was like, oh, that's odd.

I'm like, that's odd. Like, that is, I'm with him. Like, that's a hard word to use. And then I pulled this whole article. Not a single place. Like, oh, well, that, you know, that's what they, oh, no, at first, no, when I pull up, I said, well, they got asked the question. And I go, well, yeah, they got asked a question, but they still use that word. It's fear-mongering.

So then I, you know, I'll wait till Taylor's on time to bug him about this. And then I'm like, okay. And I reread this article again. In no way, the word invasion ever comes up. It's the article, which happens a lot with media, right? I saw this terrible, let me show you this tweet of, it's not like anything that James Gunn, but it was a tweet that, God, I might have to dig, but they made it look like fact. Let's see if I can do it. They made it almost look like Fact that Elon was putting money into Skydance with the whole, like, Warner Brothers merger stuff.

Because they're in a lot of debt, right? Because they bought Skydance. Or, sorry, Skydance bought, like, Warner Brothers and everything. Fuck, if I can find it. Hang on. So they need other people to get them out of debt, right? So it's like they get loans from rich people, X, Y, and Z. There's rumors of former, like, Apple execs. Oh, yeah.

Look at this fucking tweet that Deadline put up. And because I have notifications on for somebody, they retweeted it. And this is where I can't blame Taylor sometimes. Taylor's a very bad notorious headline reader, which, don't get me wrong, the more busy I am in life, I've done that a few times, but this headline was so notorious, I was like, this can't be real, Taylor. And it wasn't.

But look at this headline of this tweet. It's not a headline, but the opening paragraph. Elon Musk will put up $ 10 billion in a skydance to help the media giant pay down debt while also giving SpaceX satellite subsidiary Starlink a foothold in the entertainment business. So that's how it starts. Then the next fucking paragraph, that was an eye-opening prediction off for Wednesday by John Malone. So these fucking guys, and I get it, right? Because what does this tweet has for interaction? It's actually not that bad. Yeah, see, the post leads and presents fact. But that's where it is where we've gone in a situation where Deadline is just like a movie and entertainment place, but all these places are so hurting for money and clicks and everything.

And don't get me wrong. We were on the podcast. We have to try and think of like a, you know, a headline, but you know, like today when I did trust told you, I just said, clay face reviews are out. I didn't try to go like, Oh, that big trouble. I'll do big trouble. If it's like rocking 8%, then yeah.

But we try our best not to be like click baby. I'm sure if there's some headline, but like, it's usually factored in truth because it's either true or takes going to be about that. But that, that headline of just saying, Oh yeah, he's put up 10 billion dollars. Then below is like, that's the prediction of this person. So like, I can't blame him sometimes. Cause That's where it's like news places should not be putting headlines like that out. Right.

Like if someone's not using the word invasion, you should not be using that word. But they did. So you go, OK, that person said there's an invasion coming. And then when you read it nowhere, this person said the word invasion. They were asked to that. It's just like so I do get it where media is like, I know that's, you know, a common complaint with our generation, but it is true where it's just like. they are so much more, they've always been, but so much more focused on the clicks and downloads and the trends. And it's just, it mucks everything up. And that's why it's like now with any headline I see, it's like two ways. Either we told us a couple of weeks ago and be like the political episode, but like it's either two ways. Either

I have to just ignore it and go, well, who knows what it is? I go with my life or I got to go like click three to four different articles to find out like, is this true? Where did this come from? Is it a spin of the truth? And it's like, It's so, it is upsetting, but it's just so like frustrating when it's like elections and stuff like that. It's like, okay, someone could tell me this person said this. It's like, I don't know. because even them they might not be lying they might have saw an ai article or saw someone share something where it's like no this isn't true so it's like there's so much misinformation it's just like that's where again sometimes now lately i've just been checking out of politics because like

it's just it's exhaust it's exhausting and then there is no results after the fact either.

You know so yeah i usually just I feel like I don't ever really like see something and like instantly like, Holy fuck, that's crazy. That's the case. Like I, like I will always just wait until there's like multiple things reporting and then, and then Google whatnot to like do my own little confirmation on whatever the, the news, it's usually something like tragic and horrible. And that's what most news that seems is other than, you know, the, the nonsensical stuff that we're always reporting on with MCU news and whatever. But, um, Yeah, I don't know. I mean, clearly I've been very checked out. I don't even know final voting was this week. I feel like I knew it was the 24th in my head.

I couldn't even name you the person I'm voting for. Emily knows, but I couldn't even tell you their name. And I trust Emily because when you're talking about that earlier day in the church thing, we're pretty... I think we're... I'd say like 95%. I couldn't even be wrong. We could be 100% locked in stuff. I think I might err a bit more on some right policies than she does.

but I don't think it's like, I think even before, like I think when we first met, she was like against the death penalty. Then I think as time went on, she's like, all right, with situations and you know, your points, maybe you, maybe you changed my mind on that, but that's why it's like, okay, Emily's way more informed me on Canadian politics. I just go where she goes. That's why I do want to take those tests and everything, but that's where for me, I am, which isn't a needed thing for you and you brought up. I could never have fully dated a very religious person. I could actually date a person that is like, a different political party.

And for the most part, like I said, if it's like the personal human stuff, then no, if it's racism, life stuff, transit, like all that type of stuff, it's that sort of thing. No, that's just weird. Like get away. Like I, like if you're against those issues, we're not going to get along, but if it's more of the political financial business side and housing, okay, that's fine. We can have immigration. Sure. But that's where for religious stuff, I couldn't, cause I just feel like that's a whole different thing. ballgame. And again, I have no problem with people that have religion. I have David that hosts a gimmick.

He goes to church every Sunday. I have no problem with that. It's just like there's certain things where it's like I couldn't raise a child with that because it just goes against certain core beliefs, right? But with politics, a little more fluid for me.

I think that's pretty obvious, though. If that's your faith, that's how you live your life, you definitely want to share a life partner that shares those values and then raising children, obviously, that doubles on. So I don't think that's anything out of the ordinary there.

Mike says, at least you guys don't have to vote on whether your province stays a part of Canada. Yeah, that was wild. People don't know. Was Alberta, right?

Does Quebec also do that? Like, all the time?

They did, yeah. Well, they did or they are doing. Mike, if you're still with us, let us know. I can't remember.

They've been doing for, like, years.

Yes.

As long as I've been alive, the Bloc Québécois has been trying to separate from Canada.

And that's why I was, like, interested to see how the Alberta thing went. And to me, like... 73% is pretty overwhelming. People don't know Alberta. It's a province here, and they... I won't say big time, but I'd say more than ever, I guess, it felt like people were saying, like, hey, we should separate from Canada, right? And they're very... They're much more on the right side, and they're much more lots of, like, in line with a lot of Trump things, and Trump's always been like, yeah, Alberta's a great place.

So it's like, okay, I guess if there was a time, if this was a genuine thing, this would be the time, and they had a vote to actually do it, oh, okay, there you go. We might block his back in power. Okay, so there you go.

So.

Mike, I hope for your sake, no, because I think for, no matter what, obviously not every province is going to fully see a line and get together on every issue. But I think with Alberta and Quebec leaving, I think for both sides, there would eventually be lots of issues. And this is coming from somebody that's more surface level on that stuff. So if there's somebody that has an amazing pitch of why it wouldn't be, I'd love to hear you out and stuff. But I just feel like with the Alberta thing, that being a 73% vote, it's okay.

That to me is pretty telling of, Even if there's some people that, yeah, fuck, man. Fuck these fucking liberals and these lefties and these fucking wokesters. Wouldn't it be great to get off a cannon and just enjoy our oil? Our oil. Our oil. Our oil.

Our oral.

Yeah, we just want to enjoy our oral in peace. But when it came time to vote, if those people were like that, I went, yeah, actually, I don't want to do that.

See, you know. I'd be, I'd push back a little bit on that. Cause like, if you look at the results of like Northern Alberta, it was like way higher percentage to separate actually versus which I would imagine like the Calgary and like the more like.

Majority still, right? Majority.

What do you mean?

Like in that majority of those people? Yeah. Of that percentage. Yeah.

Where my sister lives.

Yeah.

They voted like 67% chance, like, like in, in favor of leaving. Yeah.

Okay. Yeah.

That is a lot.

Yeah. So I guess again, it's, I haven't asked.

Her, but I'm assuming I know where her family voted in whatever direction. Can you, what's her name?

I'm going to call her. She didn't pick up.

I'll see if she picks up. She's definitely asleep right now. Um, but, uh, I mean, yeah, to me personally, it doesn't make any fucking sense at all. How that would even be a thing. Like at all logistics. I agree. logistics wise it makes zero sense because like in my mind like what if alberta leaves canada could canada just invade alberta the next day and then just like take it by force technically don't but like technically they wouldn't have their own they wouldn't have their own like military or anything like like would we just tariff any ins and outs like how are they even gonna survive self-sufficiently like yeah i guess they have a land border without with uh sorry the u.s so maybe well that's the big i think.

That's the idea that the uh They'd be very in lockstep with Trump and everything, which again, like.

But it's just so weird to me. It's just such a weird concept. I don't even know how we're voting that. I get it. Like the anger of like the federal government in Ontario, like really not giving a fuck about the Western provinces at all.

That's not separate, you know? In my opinion.

Well, maybe that's where they feel like, like they, like they don't listen. It's been decades that they haven't been able to like get anywhere.

Right.

Or they're not being heard. So maybe it's just, that's where it's escalating in that sense.

Yeah.

I don't know enough about the subject to really, you know, say for or against, but like the separation, like the logistics of it, it just makes zero sense to me.

Um, and that's where too, even though with like, with the ties to America and everything that they also have election coming up in two years, that whole party and that president.

Could still feel so far away.

It does feel far away, which I still think, I still think there's a chance he's running for a third term. I really, I think that's a meme. I actually think that's very possible, but like, there's also a chance that he isn't there. Right. So that's the thing where you like, well, Alberta is going to separate, get really tight. And then what if they got a fucking super left-leaning president that doesn't want anything to do with this Alberta stuff? It's like, Hey, you guys can, uh, good luck out there, you know?

So Mike says last time it was a photo finish for us. Yeah. That's, Mike, if you don't mind me asking, if that happened, would you move out of there? Would you, if you were no longer part of Canada, would you move into somewhere in Canada, or would you just like.

We'll take you.

Yeah, we'll take you. Would you just say, well, let's see what the... What would it be? The country of Quebec? Yeah, Quebec does now, right? They'd be the country of Quebec? Let's see what they do. Would you be wild?

Outlaw English in the entire country of Quebec?

Fuck.

Which, like.

I don't think, especially with you saying it's a photo finish, I don't think with the way our world is that it's out of the realm of possibility of happening now. Oh, man. Even 10 years old?

I could see in our lifetime, like, there's, like, multiple U.S.s. You know, like, the fucking Civil War movie that we watched, I could definitely see that happening. American R.U. Yeah, like, there's, like, different factions of the U.S. Like, it just feels so... permanent like it's gonna last forever absolutely not there's so much turmoil in this world right now that we're living.

I feel like that even with it's a little less now but like we talked about a few our last episode with canada it's like during covid it was like that right the vaxxers versus the anti-vaxxers that was the like what type of canadian are you you know because it was just like yeah people run around their flags and they're doing this and that and.

If if you believe they should boy right that was yeah for.

They're honking all the time if you believe you should get vaccine you're you want my you want my child to be homeless you want me no no no Those are your choices. That's not my choice. This is the government's choice, and I am in line with them. Don't come to me about that, you know? Mike says he would move, so there you go. I tend to agree. Like, if for some reason Kelowna was like, hey, we're going to be just Kelowna, I'd.

Be like, hey, man, I'm just looking for a reason to leave Kelowna. So if we're separating, hell yeah, I'm going wherever the fuck.

Why? Have you guys been looking around at places?

No.

No? You just want to get out of here?

I just complain about where I live because I really hate the infrastructure. But where am I going to go? My family and my friends are here.

Yeah, but you have family in Alberta.

True. It's cold there.

You can be a part of the vote. Get separated. I'm going to say me and Emily are the same. It's just because of family. It is a good thing. It's not like I was going to say a good thing and a curse, but it is a good thing because the only time it's a curse, you're like, oh man, we can move out here and have this type of house and do that. And it's not even because like no babysitters, but it would just be like, yeah, it's just like, so Emily has three or two sisters out here.

I got my one sister out here. Cause it's like one sister I don't talk to, but then the other sister that lives around, I can't remember. She's somewhere in those areas, like not Alberta, but somewhere there. Like I don't, I barely see her.

Right.

So it's like everybody else. So my dad lives here and stuff. And even then I think, I guess for us, it's going to be very strange to, Because I think for most people, if they have like one or two kids, it's like they'll likely stay there. But me having five, that's a crapshoot. They go anywhere. Yeah. So it's like I don't imagine they're all going to stay there. So like maybe when we're older and if they all disperse, it'll be a thing like, okay, well, now's our time.

to move somewhere. But that's like, well, if the majority of them stay, do you stay? So it's like, I don't even want to think about that. I, I'm going to repeat the story. People on trust told you heard it, but I'll tell it here. Um, so today I had like a, me and Ellen had like a heart attack, her more so than me. Cause I was a bit more of a troublemaker of a kid. So I said, okay, we'll deal with this. But anyway, so it was around like 11 a.m. We get this email. Let me– I'll read this.
