Isar Meitis Hello and welcome to the Leveraging AI Podcast, the podcast that shares practical, ethical ways to leverage AI to improve efficiency, grow your business and advance your career. This is Isar Matis, your host, and we have an incredibly important episode today. The game of how your business gets found online is changing very, very fast.
Isar Meitis If you just go back less than a year, we had no real live ever-on agents. But then in the beginning of this year, we got OpenClaw. Those of us who are geeky like me started playing with that, and then shortly after got Hermes, which was even more user-friendly. And if you look recently, it's been an explosion, and they've been popping up everywhere between GrokBot and Muse and Dots from ChatGPT and Instinct and many more of these ever-on will-do-everything-for-you kind of agents.
Isar Meitis What does that mean? It means that sometime in the not-too-far future, the way your website looks like will mean absolutely nothing because the only people visiting it are going to be agents. But your content that shows up on the website is going to make all the difference in the world if the agents can, A, find it, B, find it easy to work with, and C, provide them the information they need in an effective way for this new era.
Isar Meitis Now, knowing what kind of content to share so the AI actually finds it and likes it and prefers it and uses it is becoming a necessity. So if the holy grail of the internet previously was ranking on the first page of Google, the holy grail of the next generation of the internet or whatever we will call that next generation, might not be called the internet, uh, will be getting found and selected and used by different kinds of AI tools.
Isar Meitis Now, in the short term Growing awareness and traffic is still dependent on Google, but it is becoming more and more dependent before the agents on just the regular chatbots. Like people are asking ChatGPT and Claude and Gemini and so on for different answers and getting the answers from there. And again, that's get- being picked up by a whole bunch of agents in the back end that knows how to find that information.
Isar Meitis So even if you're saying, "Well, this whole new fully live and genetic thing is, is not happening or not happening that quickly," the actual engines behind it are happening already because that's what's picking the information for ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Groq, et cetera. So this means that traditional SEO methodologies are no longer enough.
Isar Meitis They're not gone. They're definitely still valuable, but they're no- not longer enough. And in the short term, they are being reduced in their effectiveness while AI is picking up. And in the long term, it's gonna be a complete flip when the old ways of SEO may or may not be relevant. Nobody knows. I definitely don't.
Isar Meitis Now, our guest today, Ryan Dozer, is specializing in exactly that. He has been in digital marketing for a while, for many years, holding multiple different, uh, positions in the past few years as his own business owner, so he runs his own business, and he helps other businesses find and nurture leads following multiple different methodologies.
Isar Meitis And in the past couple of years, as you can imagine, this includes a lot of how to get found by AI. Now, in today's episode, he's going to walk us all on how to do exactly that. What tech stack do you need? Which tools you wanna use? What is the process to get there? What kind of content you wanna create?
Isar Meitis How you wanna create it? How do you wanna deploy it? And all these kind of things so each and every one of you can start building your muscle on how to create and deploy content that AI likes to find and use. Now, because this is becoming helpful in the short term and will become critical, a necessity in the longer term, I'm very, very excited about this topic and very excited to welcome Ryan to the show.
Isar Meitis Ryan, welcome to Leveraging AI.
Ryan Doser Isar, thanks so- thanks for having me. It's great to be here.
Isar Meitis Yeah. It's-- I'm personally very excited about this. I know enough to be dangerous about this topic, but definitely not enough to be extremely helpful about this topic, and so I'm very, very happy to have you here. lEt's really get started with, first of all, why the hell is there a difference? Like, don't these agents know Google and how to look?
Isar Meitis Like, what's, what's going on in the backend?
Ryan Doser Are you talking about a difference between, like, AI search versus traditional SEO? Is that kind of the question- Yes in that?
Isar Meitis Yes.
Ryan Doser Yeah. So the thing is, what I always tell people, SEO, first of all, is not dead, okay? And, and when you're talking about SEO, there's a complete difference between local SEO versus national SEO versus global SEO. And everyone likes to bucket SEO in one category, which if I were to search- Best plumber near me in Des Moines, I'm still gonna get the traditional map pack and traditional search results with maybe an AI answer, depending on the query.
Ryan Doser But if I search for, you know, best AI marketing software, right? That's a completely different game where now AI citations on Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Claude, we're-- they're starting to eat more of those top-of-funnel queries from a global and national standpoint. And the other important part to talk about here, Isar, is that technically, in order to be cited in ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Claude, Perplexity, whatever the medium is that you're searching, you technically don't need a website, right?
Ryan Doser You could have a YouTube channel. You could have social media profiles. Heck, I could be featured on this podcast, and someone could search for something related to my name, and your podcast episode could show up in YouTube or Spotify or whatever. So that's the big difference here, is the citation element of AI search and LLMs versus traditional top-of-funnel SEO.
Ryan Doser We had those 10 blue links. That is going away one day at a time, and it's to be determined when Google's gonna release that holy grail of AI mode that they keep hinting at. They just don't wanna break that golden goose where their ad revenue is 60 to 70% from Alphabet of Google Ads. That's why they haven't made the switch yet, but it is coming at some point in the future.
Isar Meitis Yeah, I love that. I, again, it's, it's, I think we're in this transition period where you need old school and new stuff overlaid on one another, and one will slowly die. Or like I said, one day Google will pull the plug, but until that one day, it's slowly reduced slightly every single day, and the other channels are growing slightly every single day.
Isar Meitis And so really when it comes to actually doing that Let's talk about three different things. One is what is the tech stack? So what do I need to have in my toolbox in order to even start working on this? Second is how do I know what's important or how anybody knows what's important? Or I'll say something probably more smart or smarter than that is how do I keep track of what's important?
Isar Meitis Because I'm sure that's changing, changing all the time. Uh, and the third component i- what... is what's the process, right? Yeah. So these are the three things I wanna touch, and you can go through that in whatever order you want. So I'll give you the, uh, the reins, and you can run us through, uh, the process.
Ryan Doser Awesome. Well, I'm gonna share my screen here. And by the way, like, these slides were made from one slash command in Claude Code. Anytime I go on a podcast, I do /command podcast prep, and then give it the context of what the podcast is, what the topic, and then it formulates this in one shot. And there were a few edits I had to make here, but I wanted to call that out first.
Ryan Doser Now, the very first thing, if we're talking about actual tech stack here, I'm gonna pull up my VS Code setup, okay? And this is gonna look confusing for people who have never used this before, but this is what's called an IDE, idle developer environment. It's kind of a wrapper to the terminal. So just think of it that way, right?
Ryan Doser I'm a non-technical marketer, and so I use VS Code for 99% of my work now. And you'll notice I have s- different tabs up here, okay? So I use Claude Code. I'm on the $200 a month Claude Max plan, and then I'm also on the $100 a month ChatGPT Pro plan, so I can use Codex and Claude Code in the same interface, and that's very important.
Ryan Doser These are two very critical components of my AI search stack. It's not Claude Code versus Codex, it's both, and I'm gonna explain why I use, uh, both of those. But in addition to that, it's what are called skill markdown files, okay? So I'm not going to a fresh chat of Claude Code and saying, "Write me a blog post.
Ryan Doser You know, do this." I'm using a combination of skill markdown files, like an SEO blog post writer skill and several image skills behind the scenes, along with slash commands. We talked about slash commands before we recorded this episode, and the one that we're gonna dive into here today is what I call /yt repurpose, the YouTube repurpose slash command.
Ryan Doser And just for some context here, and I'm gonna hop around, uh, some different slides as I'm going through this Basically, the YouTube repurpose slash command is the following here. And again, this is a cool little diagram that Claude Code created, but basically you give it one YouTube video, okay? So my entire content foundation starts on YouTube, the Ryan Dozer YouTube channel, and of course, I don't know why it's...
Ryan Doser There it is. So there's the Ryan Dozer YouTube channel right here. And just as a content, you know, marketing strategy standpoint, I recommend everyone start with long-form video as their content foundation, whether that's a podcast, whether that's, you know, other long-form things, you're targeting certain keywords.
Ryan Doser So that's the first thing I would start with. Everything starts here. And then if I go back to the slides, then comes the YouTube repurpose slash command. So I give it the YouTube video URL, and because of just time purposes, I can't run this, it's gonna take way too long. But you give it the YouTube repurpose slash command, copy and paste whatever YouTube video that you're trying to repurpose, and then here is the actual process, okay?
Ryan Doser So Claude Code goes through and analyzes the transcript, does all the keyword research, you know, does everything else. It writes the content. And to get a little more granular here, if I go back and forth, I apologize for switching up on you so much, but this is actually, you know, how to explain all of this in detail.
Ryan Doser In my agents.md file, which is essentially the brain of my entire operation, you'll notice here that I have different models doing different tasks, and this is very important from an AI search standpoint, right? My daily driver is Claude Opus 5.5. This does the orchestration, the strategy, the actual writing of the content because this, in my opinion, is the best model, AI model today for marketing and content work for most use cases.
Ryan Doser But when we're doing all this research in the background, like keyword research, SERP analysis, and things like that that go into AI search, I wanna use Claude Sonnet 5.5 because I don't wanna waste my tokens on Opus 5.5 doing that workhorse or grunt work. And if I have something that's even less important, right, I'll throw Claude Haiku 5.5 in there.
Ryan Doser Now, when it comes to the actual usage of Codex with Claude Code, you'll see I have what's called a gatekeeper model. So every time Opus 5.5 drafts an article, well, guess what? GPT-6.1 Sol is gonna be that first critic. I want another set of eyes on it versus just relying on Claude models. And then when it comes to the actual images, I don't think I have that, or I can't find it in the agents.md.
Ryan Doser But when it comes to the actual images, if I go into a finalized article here, you'll notice if I scroll down, there's the image here. Took a screenshot, another screenshot, and then I'm also creating these diagrams inside every single article, and then I'm also repurposing that in the LinkedIn post.
Ryan Doser Well, guess what? Codex is, Codex is creating these with GPT Images 2.5. So this is a whole process of where I'm going back and forth here of trying to explain, uh, everything that's going on
Speaker This episode is brought to you by the Multi-Agent Orchestration Course. It's a course that I have been teaching personally since April of this year, and every single one of the cohorts that we have opened have sold out. And the people who have been through these courses made incredible transformations for themselves, switching jobs, starting their own companies and so on, and definitely for their businesses by being able to build really complex processes by following our methodology and our infrastructure settings that we teach during the course.
Speaker The course is four sessions of two to two and a half hours each over four consecutive weeks, and through it, you can go from knowing a little bit about how to use AI and using it in ways that most people are using it today to learning how to build really complex, sophisticated systems that can automate more or less everything in your business.
Speaker The current cohort that is open starts on November 2nd, and it's gonna go on November 2nd, November 8th, November 16th, and November 23rd, and we are almost sold out for that cohort as well. It is very likely that we will not open another cohort in December, meaning the next one after that is gonna be in January.
Speaker So if you still wanna learn how to build really incredible automations and learn everything that I've learned by doing this every single day for the last few years, don't miss this opportunity to come and join us on November 2nd. There's a link in the show notes, And if you're going to use the promo code LEVERAGINGAI100, you're going to get $100 off of the price that is on the website.
Speaker Like I said, there's a few seats open, but they are selling out fast. So if you're interested in doing this still this year, go and click on the link right now on your phones and complete the registration and the payment so you can guarantee your seat. I'm looking forward to seeing you there. And now back to the episode
Isar Meitis I wanna pause you just for one second just to... First of all, you packed a lot into the last three minutes. Uh, I, I wanna pause and, and explain a few of the things and a few of the terminologies if people don't know them. Yes. So the IDE that he was talking about is- Please, please help me because just...
Ryan Doser Cause I
Isar Meitis tend to go
Ryan Doser down the rabbit hole.
Isar Meitis No, no, no, I'm, I'm, I'm with you 100%, but I'm sure there's a few people driving or, or jogging right now who's like, "What the hell are they talking about?" So the, the IDE is a place where you write and manage your code. There are multiple tools like that. He's using, uh... What, which one did you say you're using?
Ryan Doser I'm using Visual Studio Code,
Isar Meitis but I'm- Yeah, so Visual Studio is one, Cursor is another one. Uh, there's multiple of these, and each and every one of them usually comes with their own built-in set of agents, or you can bring in your own coder. In this particular case, he's using ChatGPT and Claude, and you can use them, uh, interchangeably because you're looking at the same libraries into the same code with the same information and so on.
Isar Meitis So that's one thing. Skills are another thing. Skills can be created in any of these platforms. More or less any tool out there today knows how to create skills and use skills, and skills are basically SOPs, standard operating procedure to doing something specific. Now, you can build one really big skill, you can begin a lot of small skills and have a orchestrator skill manage all of them.
Isar Meitis So skills are a way to teach the AI to do something very specific the way you want it to be done. In Ryan's example is how do you read a transcript and turn it into SEO optimized, uh, article? How do you take the article and turn it into images? How do you take the images and write the right captions to them?
Isar Meitis Like, each and every one of these things is a set of instructions. And what Ryan said, MD files, all of these skills are written in a format, a document format called .md, which stands for markdown, which is basically like a Word document without all the fancy stuff, so just the text. And, and it's very easy for the AI to read and write those without wasting a lot of tokens on fancy schmancy stuff.
Isar Meitis Yeah. So all the instructions for this entire agentic universe is written in these MD files. So the... What Ryan showed you so far is like, okay, how am I doing my magic behind the scenes, is I have these skills that knows how to take the content, convert it to what it needs to be converted, that it took me Probably months to develop and fine-tune.
Isar Meitis But now there's a very, very, very long set of instructions that the AI knows how to follow. And whenever you create these skills or you create these automations, you can define forward slash commands for them. Basically, how do you trigger this entire process? And so-- And you can have as many of these as you want.
Isar Meitis And so when, when Ryan says, "Oh, I'm gonna use this slash command that does all of this," it's something he created. It does- doesn't come out of the box in ChatGPT or Claude or whatever. Uh, he created a command that then runs this entire process beginning to end with probably 10, 15, 20 small sub-processes that actually run in the background.
Isar Meitis And the last thing that he said, and then I'll hand you back the microphone, is, is about picking the right model for the right task. It is very simple to say, "Oh, I wanna use, uh, ChatGPT Astra or, uh, Claude, uh, Fathom, uh, Claude, uh..."
Ryan Doser Fable.
Isar Meitis Fable, thank you, for everything. And yes, you can. You're just gonna spend shitloads of money where it's not actually necessary. So understanding where to use what kind of model in order to get the good results while investing the smallest amount of money is an art and a skill that we're all playing with and changing and adapting all the time.
Ryan Doser Yeah.
Isar Meitis Back to you.
Ryan Doser And I'm glad you brought that up. So one thing I get all the time is, "Well, Ryan, why don't I just go get Anthropic skills or get a free GitHub repository with all these SEO skills?" And the big problem with that is they don't have the 10 plus years of experience that I have of understanding what actually moves the needle from an AI search perspective.
Ryan Doser You can't go take those free skills and duplicate exactly what I'm doing with the skills that I've fine-tuned, and the workflows, and Slash Command that I'm continuing to fine-tune. And you're right, you said it earlier, it took me months to get this thing dialed in. This wasn't a one click, oh my God, now let's go.
Ryan Doser These things take months to fine-tune. And, uh, what I wanna show now is actually-
Isar Meitis And I'll, I'll add, I'll add one more thing to that as far as getting third-party skills and agents. You don't know what else they're doing.
Ryan Doser Prompt injections.
Isar Meitis So, so if you are going to connect a third-party set of skills to your live data, they might be using your data for other stuff, and you just don't know. So the, the bottom line is, can you learn from other skills? 100%. Do you need to build your own to be aligned exactly to the way you work? 100%. So these are the two important tips out of this short segment.
Ryan Doser Yeah. I'm glad you brought that up. Um, so if we look at this, I think it, for your audience, it will be good to understand what it actually looks like from going to a YouTube video to the final products, just so they can see this visually. And so again-
Isar Meitis And I'll say, I'll say one more thing. Sorry, I'm stopping you. We're giving an example, Ryan has given an example of going from YouTube, but the same thing is true for anything else, right? You could have started from a brainstorming session and a transcript of that. You could have started from a briefing that you've done with your marketing team, and sort of like the, the source data could be anything, and then the rest of the process could still run.
Ryan Doser Yeah. You're 100% correct. And I, I'll go back to what I said earlier. The reason that I love YouTube so much is that if you go to Google AI Overviews, Google Search results, LLMs, YouTube is what I call the number one parasite now in this phase of AI search. They all love YouTube videos, especially Google's properties, because Google owns YouTube, okay?
Ryan Doser Not to mention YouTube is, I believe, the second-biggest search engine in the world behind Google. So there's a lot of people on YouTube searching for things. So that's why I'm so big on YouTube, and these are my original words, right? I didn't u- use AI to just formulate a script and brain dump things.
Ryan Doser These are pulling my actual words that I said, and there's a lot of value to that with originality. And so if we look at the, the kind of the full workflow here, this is like one YouTube video that I'm using as an example, how to track AI search visibility, okay? So with this one video, which was a podcast episode, you'll see 26 minutes long, I repurposed that into an SEO optimized blog post, let me see here.
Ryan Doser That looks like, I believe it was this one How to track AI visibility, okay? And this is one shot all from that slash command, right? So it took the YouTube video, the transcript, it pulled that thumbnail, added it as the featured image. Um, and if I scroll down, automatically embeds the YouTube video, automatically optimizes the H1s, the H2s, the H3s, automatically adds internal and external links, all these best practices of on-page SEO.
Ryan Doser And then here's some interesting programmatic CTA stuff that I have going on, right? This is all hands-off now. And again, I, I'll dive into the tech stack later of how I'm doing this behind the scenes. But the other cool part about this is the AI agents actually watch the video. They find the unique points.
Ryan Doser They take screenshots of those unique points, upload that, embed it in the blog post where it thinks it makes sense, right? And then if I scroll down, another screenshot. I mentioned the diagram, so now I have Codex creating diagrams from that transcript, adding them into the article just to add some more uniqueness versus just going to Claude or ChatGPT and saying, "Repurpose this video into an article."
Ryan Doser That's complete slop garbage, and I recommend you never do that because it will not generate results. And so that's the actual article. Author bio, add preferred source, FAQs. But in addition to the article, if I go back to here, we can repurpose this into multiple things, right? So, and if I go back into the article's performance, so I guess I should have touched on that as I'm diving around here.
Ryan Doser This isn't just generating nothing and going into the abyss, okay? These are actual Google Search Console, you know, data for ryandozer.com, which the site's been around, I wanna say early 2026-ish. Um, you'll notice I have peaks and valleys, right? But it is getting some significant traffic nonetheless.
Ryan Doser This is traditional Google Search results, okay? Google Search Console then added a generative AI metric here that we can now look at. So you'll notice here pretty good data, right? So I'm sh- getting cited in Google AI Overviews, Gemini, Google AI Mode, all of those Google AI properties. So the point of me showing this is that I'm not just repurposing articles and saying, "Okay, I'm done.
Ryan Doser Off into the abyss." This is actually generating eyeballs, impressions, controlling the narrative for certain cita- phrases and queries, right? And even ranking for various things. So there's a lot of-- there's a lot that goes into this. Same with Bing, okay? So Bing is very important as ChatGPT pulls a lot of Bing citations.
Ryan Doser So you'll see I'm connected with the Bing Webmaster, uh, Bing Webmaster tools here, and then it's sim-similar results on Bing, right? So you wanna be connected with the Bing Webmaster and the Google Search Console's, uh, tool here. Um, but anyways, if I go back here In addition to the article, we also made the diagram which I showed.
Ryan Doser You can share that on social media or whatever. But I also have in that command to create a promo email. So I'm using Kit, which is my email marketing platform. They have what's called an MCP, model context protocol connection. So as a part of this workflow, Isar, in addition to the blog post, it's automatically creating this YouTube promo email that links to the YouTube video, took that same screenshot, took that same diagram, summarized the video right here, adds that call to action at the very end for whatever your offer is for your entire list.
Ryan Doser So this not only just... It's another good way to get more views on your YouTube video right when it's pushed out, but it's another way to get your list, you know, that your own set of distribution into your actual call to actions or offers. It's another form of distribution that a lot of people dismiss when they're creating YouTube videos.
Ryan Doser So anything there before I kind of keep going on of what I just explained in that entire process?
Isar Meitis Yeah, no, I, I think the high level is the critical thing, right? Is taking a piece of content that you already have, and again, I said before, we're using YouTube because it's a great example, but this could have been any other asset you have in your company, and turning it into many other assets that are fully optimized for their purpose.
Isar Meitis And this is the other key thing here that Ryan mentioned, like the article is optimized to get picked by AI and Google, but the newsletter is optimized to be read easily and click through and so on. And as you learn how to build these, which we're gonna dive, dive into in a second, you can keep on tweaking those.
Isar Meitis And one more thing that Ryan said, and I'm sure we'll dive more into this in a minute, is- Most of us are not Ryan. Most of us do not have 10 years of SEO experience. Claude knows SEO pretty well, but he doesn't have the data. But all of these tools, and again, Ryan will share with you a bunch of the tools in a minute, all of them have MCPs.
Isar Meitis MCPs meaning with almost zero effort, you can connect them into your Claude environment or ChatGPT environment, and then you have the full loop going. ChatGPT itself or Claude itself can go and look at the results and say, "Oh, this article is completely underperforming compared to what I thought. Uh, let me go and review this again," and so on.
Isar Meitis So you're giving the AI... When Ryan says, "Oh, I have access to all these tools," they're like, "I don't even understand what the hell it means." I'm like, "You don't have to," uh, because Claude and ChatGPT knows what it means, and they can help you build a self-optimizing engine that can keep on improving, uh, both the initial writing as well as each and every one of the articles after it's been written.
Ryan Doser Exactly. And e- every time an article gets written, well, guess what? If something was good, if something was bad, you can update that skill. You can update the slash command. So there's real-time feedback loop. That's the benefit of using this whole system. Um, but the... Let's talk about the tool stack.
Ryan Doser I know I kind of g- glossly overlooked that. Um, but if we go back to my VS Code Code set up okay. The tool stack is, by the way, VS Code's 100% free to use, so you can download VS Code for free. I pay $200 a month for Claude Max so I can get the most out of Claude Code. I pay $100 a month for ChatGPT Pro so I can get the most out of Codex.
Ryan Doser And then in addition to those, I use a tool called Data for SEO to actually get third-party data for both keywords, SERP analysis, so SERP stands for search engine results page. So it can go through and actually spin up agents to look at the first page of Google results, the first page of, or Gemini, ChatGPT, LLM citations.
Ryan Doser It can do all that analysis while you're crafting these articles, which is huge, because search intent is super important. You can leverage something like Data for SEO, which by the way, is a million times cheaper than paying for Ahrefs or Semrush every month. So I... It's like 50 bucks minimum, and I run out probably every two or three months, where Ahrefs and Semrush, to use those tools at scale with MCP capabilities, several hundreds of dollars a month depending on more credits as they stack on.
Ryan Doser So Data for SEO is a big one. The other thing too I would
Isar Meitis mention- I'll pause you for just one second again. Yep. Data for SEO, again, those of you who don't know how to use it, you don't need to know how to use it. It's an MCP that connects to Claude. I have it connected. I know nothing about SEO. I'm not like Ryan, and it's giving me tremendous value because it knows which queries to run and what to find.
Isar Meitis And again, is Ryan's set up better than mine? I'm 100% sure. Is mine better than somebody who's not using this? I'm 1000% sure. And so it's an, it's an MCP. It allows... It basically gives Claude or ChatGPT SEO superpowers. Consider it that if you want, because it's giving it access to the raw data on what's working right now.
Ryan Doser Exactly. And what I will say is I think Ahrefs still has better data than Data for SEO, but if you compare like the efficiency and the pricing, I think Data for SEO is better for most people. Just throwing that out there. The other tool that's important in this whole workflow is I use a Google Search Console MCP, okay?
Ryan Doser So I can connect Google Search Console to VS Code with Claude Code and Codex, where it's read-only. You never wanna set up an MCP to a property like Google Search Console, where it can tweak things up, it can screw things up. You want it on read-only access, or think about the power of that, Isar, where it can literally look at all of my data from the minute I set up Google Search Console and incorporate that.
Ryan Doser What are some articles that need updated? What are some things that we could do to improve the needle? Or what are some things that are ranking high, right? So it has my internal data paired with Data for SEO. So once you pair those two, that becomes really special with Claude Code and Codex.
Isar Meitis Fantastic.
Ryan Doser The other part too is let's talk about my website a little bit, right? Ryandozer.com, okay? Originally, this was a WordPress build where I was using a WordPress MCP, but I, I am at the point now, Isar, where if I have to do anything with WordPress, Wix, you know, Weebly, Hostinger, Base44, Lovable, you name the website builder, I'm gonna take my head and bang it against this keyboard because of the inefficiencies that go into this, okay?
Ryan Doser And if you wanna do become more efficient with this and start building things and getting results at scale, there's this framework now called the Astro Web Framework. This is actually owned by Cloudflare. You can think of this similar to a WordPress theme. This... All this is, is you can simply copy the URL, give it to Claude Code or Codex and say, "Use this Astro Web Framework to help build my website."
Ryan Doser And then to actually deploy it, you need Cloudflare, and then you need GitHub to actually store all the files. So that's the stack. It's GitHub, Cloudflare, the Astro Web Framework, and then Claude Code or Codex to actually build the website behind the scenes, which is what ryandozer.com and all of my other websites now going forward are built using this stack.
Ryan Doser And one of the reasons is, is because it's absolutely seamless, like that YouTube repurpose slash command is the ultimate use case here, where guess what? Once it's done behind the scenes, I don't touch it after one slash command. And guess what? It's literally live right here on the website, automatically indexed, and then I have another extracurricular thing where I say, "Scrape my website sitemap, go find relevant internal links, implement them," and there's a ton of other things that go into what I'm doing behind the scenes.
Ryan Doser But you see the reason of why I'm using this Astro GitHub Cloudflare stack and not using any of these other website builders, which are just charging you a premium to do the exact same thing you could do with Claude Code or Codex. That's very important for people to understand when they see Lovable, Base44, Replit.
Ryan Doser Those are just wrappers charging you a premium when you can build the exact same thing in Claude Code or Codex for half, if not a third or a fourth of what those platforms charge at scale.
Isar Meitis Two quick additions to everything you said, which is absolutely brilliant and I agree with 100%. One is it's all free. So not all, but GitHub and Cloudflare is free. So if you... One of them hosts the actual files, the other one deploys them so people can get to them from the internet. Both of these things are free.
Isar Meitis And again, Cloudflare is not completely free, but the chances you will get to the paid level is very, very small, like unless you get a crazy amount of traffic or have a huge, huge complex website. Uh, so this is number one. And number two, go- going back to what I said before, you don't need to know how to run any of these.
Isar Meitis I mean, it's not complicated either way, but if you tell Claude and say, "Hey, Claude, I've been listening to this episode with Ryan, and he said that I need to deploy my website using GitHub and, and Cloudflare. How do I do that?" He'll say, "Oh, go and get me an account in each, and don't worry about it ever again."
Isar Meitis And that's basically what's gonna happen Uh, and so we're, we're getting to a world where Doing the thing that used to be highly technical is not a blocker anymore because Claude or ChatGPT will actually do it for you. And so all you gotta do is go and get a GitHub account, which again, is 100% free, and it's where, I don't know the numbers, but I'll make it up, 90% of the world's code is being stored.
Isar Meitis So it's a very safe, reliable, scalable website where you can drop all your stuff. And then Cloudflare is probably where most of the traffic through the website goes right now. And I don't know what most align to, but it's probably more than 50% of the world's actual traffic is being, uh, reflected to the world through Cloudflare.
Isar Meitis So again, two large, respectable, fully trusted company that has been around for a very long time and give you a completely free service to deploy whatever you want to deploy.
Ryan Doser Yeah. I'm glad you brought that up. GitHub and Cloudflare, I think, are two of the most underrated tools during this AI era, and they are very generous with the free plans. Um, one other thing I wanted to mention here, and we can take this wherever you want. I al- anytime I talk about AI search or SEO, I always like to give this example of, of a case study that I did where I built a fake local septic business in Des Moines, Iowa, just to see what it would look like from a local SEO perspective, considering everything is 100% AI.
Ryan Doser And so if I actually pull up a private browser here, and so let me know if you can see this on your screen as far as I'm pulling this up. Yeah. If we search for something like, you know, septic tank, uh, pumping near me... I'm not even gonna throw Des Moines in there because it's desmoinesseptics.com, that would even trigger even, even more than just a near me keyword.
Ryan Doser But I'm not in the map pack, right? Because I'm not a real business. I can't get a verified Google business profile. Yeah. But if we scroll down, who do we see number one here, right? This is my fake business. So what does that tell you about the manipulation of not only Google search results, but it's also being cited in several LLMs as well?
Ryan Doser And if we actually go in and click on this website, this is the same stack we were just talking about, GitHub, Cloudflare, Cloud Code Codex, and the Astro web framework. And guess what? When I finished building this site in about three or four hours, 'cause this was one of the first ones I ever built when I was doing this, I ended up saving that entire conversation history and created a local website designer skill where if I ever wanna make similar websites, and I have, and this one's ranking as well, uh, Des Moines Gutter Cleaners, desmoinesguttercleaners.com, uh, or Des Moines Junk Removal or insert...
Ryan Doser You know, I'm, I'm doing these random Des Moines service businesses 'cause I have a lot of friends who are owners, and I wanna send them leads, right? That sort of thing. This one's now starting to rank for gutter cleaning keywords. This whole thing is 100% AI. The images are GPT images 2.0 or 2.5. All of the content is Opus 5.5 now.
Ryan Doser Literally everything is AI, and I just love showing this example because it's so, so easy to manipulate LLMs and search engine results pages And if we wanna actually look from a real business standpoint, I love to give this example as well, uh, best dental IT support companies, okay? I work with a client of mine, MedX Dental IT.
Ryan Doser They're one of the largest dental IT providers in the entire country, where they service dental offices and DSOs, and the big takeaway here from an AI search perspective is we wanna control the narrative for a money q- query just like this. Who is the best dental IT support company in the country? Who's the best dental IT support company in XYZ city?
Ryan Doser And from a national perspective, guess what? Boom, one here, boom on the side, and we're also being cited as the number one top dental IT support provider in Google's AI overviews, and the results are very similar across other AI search engines and LLMs, et cetera, and we are controlling the narrative.
Ryan Doser If someone in our ICP searches this, which is very relevant, it's a middle to bottom of funnel query for our ICP, which stands for ideal customer profile, and they see MedX Dental as number one, wow, I mean, we, we just controlled the narrative there that we're the best dental IT provider. And, like, people need to understand this control the narrative concept and why it's becoming more important than ever, uh, with AI search.
Ryan Doser So any other questions, comments on, on all those things I just shared there?
Isar Meitis Yeah, no, this is absolutely... But that's the proof in the pudding, right? This is what's showing you it actually works. Let's dive a layer deeper. Like, if somebody wants to build their own process, like their own forward slash whatever the, the command is, so it's actually helpful. What are the steps from a where does the data get pulled from?
Isar Meitis What do you compare it to? What tools are you using, which sequence? So now we know the tools, we know the outcome, we know the general concept. Let's dive a layer deeper and see how it actually gets built, not the- Yeah how it gets used.
Ryan Doser Yeah. Well, first of all, here's a quick tip for anyone listening to this. If you wanna copy what I'm doing, take this transcript, dump it into your AI system of choice, and say, "Help me build this," right? I do this all the time with random video transcripts, and people don't understand that. Um, but if we're starting from complete scratch, you mentioned number one is making sure all those integrations are set up.
Ryan Doser We need to connect all the MCPs or APIs or CLI connections in some cases. But then after you have all the connections set up, well, then you actually need to build the properties, right? So let's say I just wanna build a website from scratch here, okay? Is that where you're kinda hinting at this if you don't have a website built?
Isar Meitis No, I, I mean, most... I assume most people listening have a website, but they... Let's say they wanna understand where their website is at right now- Yeah and what do they need to change in the frequency of the content, the actual content- Yeah itself, uh, the quality of the content they already have previously- Yeah and so on.
Ryan Doser Yeah. Two things I would say. First of all, there's a lot of what are called AI visibility trackers out there, uh, rankability I think, or rankability, searchable. Like, honestly, I think a lot of those are smoke and mirrors, and a lot of people wanna dive straight into those. The reason I say that is most business owners or just people who own websites in general, they don't have the fundamentals of Google Search Console set up or Bing Webmaster Tools set up or Yandex.
Ryan Doser So you wanna start there from a fundamental perspective. And then taking it a step further, we wanna add something like data for SEO that can actually have agents go through, spin up, and do SERP analysis and keyword research. And here's another tool I'll throw into the mix before you get like an AI visibility tracker, which are very expensive by the way.
Ryan Doser Cloudflare, we just talked about Cloudflare not too long ago. They recently released this tool called Isn't- IsItAIAgentReady.com or Isn't- IsItAgentReady.com. I apologize. But basically you plug in your website URL here, and then it gives you all sorts of these, uh, references for what it means to be optimized in an agentic first world.
Ryan Doser So if we do ryandozer.com, it's gonna pull all these results, and you'll see I don't have all the things dialed in, which is fine, right? But there are some things here that are more important than others. The robots.txt, the XML sitemap, the link headers. And here's something interesting that's gonna be very important, I think, down the road, is this thing called WebMCP.
Ryan Doser This is kinda like a I don't know, like a functionality or like a protocol where AI agents can scan through a WebMCP to see if like a site is fully optimized for AI, AI agents to browse through, things of that nature. It's a little more over my head from a technical standpoint, but expect to see the term WebMCP, MCP float around quite a bit.
Ryan Doser Uh, but this is just a good tool and it's completely free to go through and scan your website to see how am I actually showing up when it comes to being agentic ready. Because like you said, you know, you can throw the whole dead internet theory out there, but most traffic to websites now are not from humans, they're from AI agents.
Ryan Doser If I go to ChatGPT, Claude or whatever and say, "Research this, pull up this, do that," they're spin- these agents are spinning up browsers, they're spinning up search engines. They're actually going to the websites and having agentic traffic, not human traffic. So that's why something like this with Cloudflare's tool, it's very important to understand where your website actually sits, and then getting those foundational Google Search Console, Bing Webmaster, syncing up data for SEO.
Ryan Doser I would start there because most people haven't even started there, and they wanna take a shortcut to some AI visibility tool that won't do anything if you don't have the foundation set up
Isar Meitis Awesome tip. And again, I'll, I'll, I'll restate your previous even awesomer tip, if that's a word in English uh, which is take the transcript of this call. If a lot of these things were over your head and said, "I don't even know what data for SEO is, and I don't even know what Search Console is," and I...
Isar Meitis And said, "Okay, give it to Claude or give it to ChatGPT and say, 'Okay, listen, I wanna build a plan on how to implement what I just heard. I need you to help me build a step-by-step process. Tell me what I need to do. Build the strategy.'" And it will build it for you. Now, again, is it gonna be built as good as Ryan's current setup?
Isar Meitis Hell no. Is it gonna be a thousand times better than what you have right now? Heck yeah. And so... And then you keep on optimizing from there. And how do you optimize? An- another tip in the same direction, give it access to Ryan's YouTube channel. Say, "Hey, go and look at a bunch of these videos. See how you can learn additional aspects and tips," and so on.
Isar Meitis And again, it doesn't have to be Ryan, it could be a lot of other people, and the same is true in every topic you wanna learn. These tools can learn, impl- learn, understand, plan, and implement way faster than you ever will, uh, or a bunch of other people, and that's a great way to continue improving, uh, different aspects and capabilities of your stack.
Ryan Doser Absolutely. And one other quick tip is, Isar, is that if you don't know what to write about or what content to create, whether it's videos or articles, I have what's called a brand foundation builder skill, which basically interviews me every time I onboard a new client. It interviews the client or interviews me if I have one of those websites that I pop up, where it creates these four different markdown files: the company MD, customer MD, which is the ICP, the offer MD, and the voice MD.
Ryan Doser Once you have these things fully dialed in, paired with all the tool stack and everything else that I just set up, well, now you're off to the races. Because if you don't have this actual context of your ICP and your company and all this set up first, you're gonna struggle trying to find things that are actually going to move the needle and create content that converts to dollars
Isar Meitis 100%. Yeah, and, and, and again, this is goes back to while these tools keep on getting better and better and better, building your own, quote-unquote, "infrastructure" makes all the difference in the world. So having the right tools, having the right MD files with the right content in them, having it structured in the same way every single time.
Isar Meitis So when Ryan tells you he can spin up a website in a few hours and it's gonna rank on Google for local search, it's because it's not the first time he's doing it. He has perfected the stack, the process, the tools, and everything, and now he has a machine that knows how to spit up websites that rank for local search results.
Isar Meitis And you can build something similar for your world. It might be very different than what Ryan has built to rank for septic in Des Moines, right? You may wanna rank nationally for, I don't know, fixing socks or whatever it is the business that you're in. But once you figure out what that is, and AI can help you do that by giving it access to all these tools, because all the tools that Ryan mentioned in the previous section, like data for SEO, like Google Search Console and so on, that gives AI the data to make the right plan, and then the data to get feedback on whether the plan is actually working or not to continue tweaking from there.
Ryan Doser Yes.
Isar Meitis We covered a lot in the past, uh, 40 minutes or so. I'm sure there's a lot more. If people wanna learn from you, follow you, work with you, hire you, what are the best ways to do that?
Ryan Doser Yeah, absolutely. Well, first of all, thanks for having me on. This has been great. I love to going down these sorts of rabbit holes. Um, but Ryan Dozer on YouTube is a good place. Uh, ryandozer.com if you wanna kinda study my AI search strategy there. Um, and then also I have a community called the AI Marketing Insiders.
Ryan Doser It's free to join right now. Um, those are probably the best, three best spots, I would say.
Isar Meitis Awesome. Thank you so, so much. This was absolutely great.
Ryan Doser Awesome. Thank you
