Oh, it's another loaded week and we got you covered here on the NFL Fantasy Football Show.

Mike Yam, Trevor Sikma fired up.

We got our guy Matt Akata is going to be joining us in just a bit. We'll get his starts and sits and of course, every analysis, all the analysis around those selections on NFL.com. Not to mention building out a little DFS lineup for you. Chase Daskalos is going to be with us. But I want to get your take on this, man, because over the weekend, we're finishing out the week, and there's just all this late game drama.

And I'm up six points on a Monday night game, and then I'm feeling like we're going to win.

Or I'm going to win. And then it goes overtime. And I'm looking at James Cook and Kyron Williams. I know this happens.

But on a Monday night game to close out the week, when you're getting a little extra football there, there's that.

Freak out moment where you're at the edge of your seat and you're going, I'm going to lose. I'm going to lose because of overtime.

It's one of the most nerve-wracking situations that you could possibly be in in fantasy football is being up single digits and yet the opponent having a player that just went to overtime in Monday Night Football where you know that they are going to get the football. You just don't know how much. Truly, just what makes fantasy football special.

Agonizing. A celebration. Did you still win? Did you still win the matchup?

Well, I don't want to pour salt in the wound of our buddy Quab, who's one of our producers on NFL Report.

But I did. I did. So you did.

Yes.

Yeah.

And he didn't really want to talk to me while I was doing NFL Report yesterday, but he had to.

And, you know, I get it.

You know, if you had any of these dudes, you probably had a pretty good chance of winning. The ones, the highest scoring fantasy players by position in week number five, Drake May. Last two weeks, this dude's got eight total touchdowns. Jameer Gibbs, not a surprise to see him on this list. Speaking of the Monday night matchup, Puka Nakua balled out 37.7.

Both him and Gibbs getting that total.

Isaiah Likely, 32.4 points at the tight end spot. The kicker, Jason Myers, with 23 points.

And how about that?

Niners defense with 20 points. All right, I'm thinking about some of these highest scoring positional players. Quarterbacks, man, who do you got for me?

Yeah, so I'm going to go with Matthew Stafford this week. I like his matchup against the Arizona Cardinals, and there's two reasons why. One, because the Arizona Cardinals are bottom 10 in total passing yards per game allowed, which obviously leans towards Stafford having a good game.

And also, the Cardinals like to push the pace.

The defense hasn't been great for them this season, and they've got the ability, although it's been a little spotty as of late. to really put up points on the scoreboard. So I think that's going to force the Rams to want to keep pace and really keep their foot on the gas pedal in this game. The Rams offense does seem to be looking more explosive. And so give me Matthew Stafford to be QB1 this week. And then for RB1, let's go with Kenneth Walker for the Kansas City Chiefs.

They're going up against the Los Angeles Chargers. Chargers have a 12.3% missed tackle percentage this season. And to be honest with you, I just think the game script overall really could let Kenneth Walker go off in this game. High-volume game, I think, for as much as the Chargers have turned the ball over this season. I think the Chiefs know, hey, let's just put it in Kenneth Walker's hands and have him win the game for us. So I think the volume's going to be there. I like the matchup, so give me Kenneth Walker. to be that RB1 this week against the Chargers.

The guy's been an absolute monster, so why not ride the horse, just like Kansas City has decided to do through these first few weeks of the season. Pass catchers, sometimes you kind of have to name Puka, right, just based off.

Of what he did on Monday?

Yeah, I mean, you saw him on the graphic there as the top wide receiver last week, and if I'm picking Matthew Stafford to be QB1, well, guess what? That probably means that Pukanuku is going to be our wide receiver one, excuse me. Again, good matchup against the Arizona Cardinals. Same thing with the game script. I think they're going to push the pace. And when you look at Akua, he's targeted at one of the highest rates overall of any receiving option in the NFL, but then specifically on third down as well. Overall, 24 targets last week for 17 receptions. When I watch this team on film, he is truly their go-to player in all situations. Behind the line of scrimmage in the short game, over the middle

of the field, vertical pass game as well. So give me Pukunuku to be wide receiver one and then tight end. Let's go with Tyler Warren this week. He's going up against the Tennessee Titans, which not a great team so far this year, to say the least for the Tennessee Titans. And when you look at Tyler Warren, he's playing on more than 91% of the Indianapolis Colts total offensive snaps.

He is on the field at all times. And I get a little hot take for Tyler Warren that I'll save for the end of the show. Make sure that people stick around for the end of the show. But this isn't the last time that we're talking about Tyler Warren here, who I do think is going to be tight end one this week, given the matchup.

All right. I like that.

A little spicy take for a bold prediction coming up in just a bit here on the fantasy show. By the way, Trevor, more from you. In just a moment here, by the way, I'm a little jealous, man. I said a little NFL pro swag that you got there.

I know you're a little double dip. It looks good on you, man.

I got to figure out where I can get one of those shirts. I think I know my source and it is not Metacada. But if I need to start, sit in some news on that. Matt, I know you always have me covered. By the way, we were talking about his NFL pro shirt.

You like new. I think it sounds like you already have one.

Oh, listen, I got an NFL Plus sweatshirt.

We are all swagged out here on the fantasy show. I absolutely love it. I'm going to just start raiding. I'm raiding closets upstairs in the office. I'm just going to throw that out there.

All right.

Start sits back. Quarterbacks, who do you have for me? Yeah, let's start with Brock Purdy. Look, he kind of had a down week last week against Seattle, but that was Seattle and he still scored 16 fantasy points. On the season, he is top five in every relevant analytics metric, 13 touchdown passes, just two interceptions. He's been unbelievable, and he's going now from this elite defense to a non-existent defense in Week 6. That is right. We are back to trash-talking the Commanders, who allowed nearly 26 points to Jameis Winston and 24-plus to everyone this year except Daniel Jones.

So Purdy has a 20-point floor, I would think, in this week. and is an excellent bet to be the top QB if it's not Stafford. And then I've also got Jordan Love against the Cowboys on Sunday night. I've been kind of in and out on Jordan Love this year. He's sort of up and down, but I'm all the way in against this defense on Sunday night football. He's thrown two touchdown passes in every single game, and he's topped 300 yards three times. Christian Watson and Matthew Golden are both balling out. I also like Tucker Kraft in this matchup, and this defense has allowed 20-plus fantasy points to quarterbacks. In four of five games, almost every one of their games has been a track meet. I think this will be another one. Love is a QB1 in

Week 6.

I actually like the call, Matt.

I feel like it's not super spicy, but it is a bold take just based off of the season in its totality. By the way, last week we were crushing the Commanders. This week, you name-check them as well. Our researcher, Raza, is a huge Commanders fan. When I look that way, he is... He is not happy right now. By the way, he's also wearing a Virginia Tech sweatshirt. So for what it's worth, we know what happened against Cal.

I move on.

By the way, I feel like that's really pouring salt in the wounds here.

All right.

When I talk about some sits, I feel like there's some big name guys that you're actually going to park on the bench.

Yeah, this one maybe is a bolder take than the last one. Patrick Mahomes is starting as a sit at quarterback for me. Look, I'm a little worried about this Chargers defense and game script. They've allowed the sixth fewest passing yards per game and a 7-4 TD-INT ratio, which isn't great. But more importantly, they have faced the fourth fewest pass attempts and the third most rush attempts per game this season. And that's because they are literally always losing.

And the Chiefs are favored by more than a touchdown at home coming off a bye. I think this is going to be a blowout, maybe a Kenneth Walker and eventually even Emmett Johnson game salting it away. I fear Mahomes will have his ceiling capped by that game script. I would rather stream Kirk Cousins. And then for the second week in a row, I am sitting Sam Darnold.

And this is going to be kind of the way that it works probably for a while now. He scored just eight points against the Niners. He still scored more than 14 just once all season. And that was against the Commanders. Sorry, Raza. And then now he's coming off back-to-back weeks with under 200 passing yards, five interceptions since he returned from that injury in week three. And now he gets the Broncos defense, who we know are excellent, even with four teams on by. Darnold is outside my top 20 at quarterback. I think he belongs closer to the waiver wire than to your starting lineup.

It's kind of wild, man.

I mean, Sam Darnold, you think about how epic that game was. That was pretty awesome. But these numbers, I mean, it kind of tells a story and it's not exactly positive for what it's worth on the commanders, by the way.

They didn't lose over the weekend.

Sorry.

Hey, true.

Running backs fan, who are we playing in this one? By the way, I'm a Giants fan. I probably should not be talking trash right now. But we are first place in the division. But who do you got for me in the backfield?

Hey, speaking of which, here's a Giant. I've got Cam Scadaboo. The breakout is here. It is coming. Has he been efficient this season? No. Has he been a top 15 running back even one single week?

No. But.

He faces the Saints in Week 6. They are the best matchup for running backs in fantasy. They've allowed a league-high 133 rushing yards per game, league-high 31 fantasy points per game to running backs. Five RBs have topped 17-plus fantasy points against this defense in five games. I know it hasn't been pretty or exciting for Skadaboo just yet, but he's going to make it a sixth. You can start him with confidence in Week 6. And then I've got Tony Pollard. We're getting a little deep here. There's four potential starters on by. I'm going to start Tony Pollard against the Colts. Look, last week he handled 14 of the 17 running back carries for Tennessee. I like that volunteerism. and he's actually second in the league in

his rate of rushes over expected behind only Jalen Warren who just torched this Colts defense for 36.8 fantasy points last week including 101 yards and a touchdown on just 15 carries Pollard may not have that upside in week six because he's not the receiver Warren is, but I do think that he is a decent RB2 in a shallow week, and I'd start him.

All right, what about the running back sits?

We're going to sit J.K. Dobbins against the Seahawks, and I worry some managers saw the 15 fantasy points from Dobbins last week, and they think they can trust him again this week. I would not. He is still averaging just 50 scrimmage yards a game, scored just one touchdown all year, But more importantly, this week, he is facing the Seahawks defense. They've allowed 3.6 yards per carry to running backs. They're fourth in rush EPA allowed to the position.

You can start like matchup proof plays like CMC against this defense. But Dobbins is miles from that tier. And I think he should hit the bench in week six. And then we are once again sitting Jeremiah Love. I wish we weren't. I love him. But he's actually the sit of the week in my article. He has scored fewer than eight fantasy points. In three of his last four games, Yammer is coming up just 2.2 points against the Lions. He's losing value as a receiver. He hasn't scored a rushing touchdown since week one. He's not the bell cow we really wanted him to be. And in week six, he has to deal with the Rams defense, who had not allowed a single touchdown or 14 fantasy points to a single running back before James Cook on

Monday night in that absolute thriller. So love is not Cook. Sit him on Sunday.

Yeah, I will say this, and I go back to some of the shows that we did in the preseason when we talked draft strategy. Trevor and I were going back and forth on this, and I think we were both in agreement. You've just got to be weary sometimes with some of these rookies. The sample size, college is different than what we're going to see on Sundays, and this is sort of a testament to that.

You also saw that with Gentee even last year.

For what it's worth, those guys are still going to be good players, but this is a different conversation overall.

On the fantasy side. Matt, more from you coming up in just a bit.

By the way, we've been given love to sell a couple of these Rams players, and it makes a whole lot of sense, but what does it mean in terms of daily fantasy? Chase Daskalos is going to help us chase the points, and he is going to build a perfect DFS lineup for us. Chase Daskalos is with us right now. It's one of my favorite segments. We do it every other week. It is Chase's time to not only chase the points, but build the picture-perfect DFS Game winning, game Sunday winning, and maybe even Monday. DFS Fantasy lineup.

Let's start with the quarterbacks, man. Where are we dishing out some of the cash?

Look, if you're paying up at quarterback and Josh Allen is in the player pool, there is no other option. He's averaging 28 points per game. That's five more than the next closest quarterback. He scored 72 fantasy points with his legs alone. That's 40 more than any other quarterback. He's playing in a dome in Las Vegas. Against a Raiders defense that has allowed the sixth most fantasy points to the position this season. If you want a salary saver, you're going to have to scroll down that page. But down there, you will find the QB6 over the last two weeks, Jameis Winston. When Jameis Winston is playing good football and is in good game environments, he scores fantasy points in bunches. He gets the Saints in week six.

They've allowed the second most points per game in the NFL this season. That game has all the makings to be a fantasy shootout.

If you would have told me that Jameis Winston would be the subject of an ad in any segment after what we saw when he came in for Jackson Dart, I'd be like, yo, you're crazy.

But you're right. Dude has been balling right now. In terms of the running backs, who do you like?

So the Bills Raiders game is projected to be the highest scoring game on Sunday. So I have no problem spending salary on two Buffalo players. The other would be James Cook. He's been a top 12 running back in three to five weeks this season. He leads the NFL in rushes to gain 10 plus yards. And what defense is allowing those 10 plus rushes to happen at the third highest rate? That would be the Raiders. This doesn't look like a week where there are any standout, super cheap running backs. And Ramondre Stevenson is chilling in that middle tier as an incredibly strong play. Trayvon Henderson is going to miss multiple weeks with his ankle sprain. Just take the value when it's available. You're looking at 20

to 25 touches against a Jets defense that ranks bottom 10 in fantasy points allowed to running backs.

Definitely a party foul for Henderson owners.

Keep in mind, no surgery, at least right now, being required. He hasn't been placed on IR, so there's a chance he comes back within the next three weeks or so.

Pass catchers, man. I feel like there's a good plethora of options for fantasy owners.

Absolutely. And here, nearly the same thesis as Josh Allen. If you're paying up a wide receiver and Puka Nakua is in the player pool, there are no other options. He's averaging 15 targets, 10 receptions, and 112 yards per game this season. It doesn't even matter who he's playing, but to make it even sweeter, no defense has allowed more fantasy points per opportunity to wide receivers than the Cardinals have this year. The cheap option at wide receiver, standout Jeremy Bernard. First, Michael Pimdon went down. Now, Roman Wilson's out. And last week, Bernard took advantage of that opportunity, saw a career-high nine targets, caught six of those for 80 yards. He should be very involved again in week six.

And most importantly, sounds like Aaron Rodgers likes him.

You know if Rogers likes you, that's usually a good thing.

I'm wondering down the road if there's like a darkness retreat in both of their futures.

We'll find out. Chase, you're the best, man.

I appreciate always the insight when you're building out that daily fantasy lineup.

Always appreciate you stopping by with us, man.

And let's just jump right back into the start-sit train for week number six. Matt Akata is back with us. Got some wide receiver starts. We got some, just two players in particular, Matt. And by the way, the complete list, it's not just the two guys on the start-sit column on NFL.com.

There's a vast array of selections. So who are we highlighting here?

Let's start with Matthew Golden. He's actually my start of the week at wide receiver, and I think he's been a bit overshadowed by Christian Watson, but he's the wide receiver 11 on the season, Yammer. Nearly 16 fantasy points a game. He's one of just three wideouts with nine plus points in every game this year. The other two, Jackson Smith and Jigba and Amon Ross St.

Brown.

That's good company. Yes, it is.

Yeah, so... You heard me hype up Jordan Love earlier in this Prospective Fireworks show with Dallas. I like Golden as a weekly wide receiver, too, regardless. But he is a top-tier play in this game against this secondary. And then, look, I was very surprised last week to see that Mike Evans was started in fewer than half of ESPN leagues.

I don't know why. We've got to fix that moving forward. He just dropped 24 fantasy points. That was a season high against the Seahawks. He's the clear number one target for Brock Purdy. who is the most efficient passer in the league. We also talked about him earlier. He looks like prime Evans, despite being 33 years old, which I can say, cause I'm older than that. And he faces the commanders on Monday night who have allowed the fourth most fantasy points to wide receivers in 2026. This shouldn't even be a question. Start Mike Evans.

By the way, I was joking about this on game day preview.

I had forgotten that Brandon cooks was on the San Francisco 49ers.

He grabs that touchdown.

I looked it up first reception, first touchdown of the season for him, which is sort of wild. In terms of the wide receivers that you park on the bench, who do you got?

I'm starting with DK Metcalf. And there was, I believe it was week two, he was my sit of the week. He scored 6.7 points in that game against the Patriots. We're running it back in week six. He's coming off a 12-yard mega dud against the Colts. Still just has one touchdown all season. Still just has one game with more than 40 yards. And I don't really love the matchup with Tampa Bay. They blitz at a very high rate.

Aaron Rodgers has not been very good against the Blitz. He's looked great in general these past few games, but I think this defense could give him some trouble. So even with Roman Wilson inactive, I just do not trust Metcalf at all right now. I'd rather park him on the bench. And then let's go down to Romeo Dobbs.

There are four teams on by. Some managers might think they need to squeak Romeo Dobbs into their lineups. Do not do it. Yes, it looked like Dobbs was breaking out two weeks ago against Buffalo. But then he had one catch for 16 yards against the Raiders, and he was outproduced by six Patriots pass catchers in Week 5.

Drake May has this smorgasbord of interchangeable pass catchers. Any one of them is prone to disappearing any week. Plus, the Jets have been good against outside wideouts. So I'm not playing Dobbs. I'd rather play waiver-wire pickup Jeremy Bernard than Dobbs this week. Sit him.

Shaking my head, man.

I got Travion Henderson and I have Dobbs and I got some dudes right now that are sitting on by. So you are not painting a pretty picture for me or a whole lot of other fantasy owners out there. I will make sure NFL.com slash start sits. Get a little bit more help from you, Matt. Once again, for a complete collection of all the names that we don't even get an opportunity to get to. Matt has you covered there. More from you, Matt, in just a moment.

Time for Sick Flexes. So, Trevor Sycamore back with us, man.

Who are we kind of leaning in on that you think could potentially ball out here?

I like Luther Burden this week, and it looks like we're getting Caleb Williams back, fed quarterback for the Chicago Bears, which is obviously a big deal. Now, Burden's production didn't take a massive hit or anything when Williams was out there, but I actually think that's more of a positive than a negative here for this because it means that, to me, he's a mainstay in what Ben Johnson wants to do, and the offense only gets more explosive with Caleb Williams now a quarterback. So, to me, I think that Burden is a consistent emphasis in this offense, and I think with Williams returning, the explosiveness in the passing game could absolutely take a tick up. And I think that he could be the benefactor of it. So I think that

he is a sick flex this week here against the Atlanta Falcons.

I like it. By the way, I was just kind of looking ahead here.

I just heard Matakata tell me that DK Metcalf needs to be on the bench. The next segment is Suplexes, and you're sitting here going like, yo, let's roll with this dude. So at some point when you guys are in person, we're going to do like an arm wrestling thing here, but make the case for DK.

This might be just the pessimistic Bucs fan in me talking here, but outside of Jacob Parrish, I really haven't loved how this secondary has been covering guys and limiting yards after catch stuff. And I know that the Buccaneers do blitz a good amount like Matt was talking about, and Aaron Rodgers is going to have to get the ball out of his hands quickly. But again, unless they're really putting Jacob Parrish on DK Metcalf for the majority of this game... I think there's going to be opportunities for Metcalf to be able to get those yards after catch. Again, it might just be me being more of a pessimistic Bucs fan, but I can see a world where he breaks a tackle or two and all of a sudden it's a massive chunk play, even from something that might

be a short pass his way.

Okay.

Mossy, who's our producer, we're going to do a segment. We just got to highlight the DK thing here next week on the show. We'll find out exactly who's right and if it's going to be Matt or if it's going to be Trevor. One says start, the other says sit here. D'Ontavio and Wicks, by the way, I like this call.

Yeah, so D'Ontavio and Wicks, the Eagles are going up against the Carolina Panthers. And not only do the Carolina Panthers traditionally play a little bit softer of cushion and coverage with the Giro Evero as their defense coordinator over the last couple of years, Both of their starting cornerbacks are out. They're not out there right now. And I think the script is going to force the Eagles to pass a lot in this game. Carolina is in a lot of categories, top five, if not right around the top five in terms of scoring and passing output and everything.

So Carolina can move the ball and they can score. It's going to force the Eagles to have to do the same. And they're going to want to do that through the outside, the numbers passing game. That's where Dontavion Wicks comes into play. So I think it could be a big game for him.

All right, we'll keep the fingers crossed on that one. It's time for Hot Takes. All right, Matt, your opportunity to go bold. Go spicy.

What do you got for me?

I'm going Denzel Boston. And I'm going he catches a 50-plus yard touchdown and finishes as a top 10 wide receiver against the Ravens. This might be surprising. He's a wide receiver 18 in fantasy through five games. And get this, Yammer. First rookie with 15-plus catches and 20-plus yards per catch through Week 5.

Wow.

Since some kid in 1998 named Randy Moss, Boston is a beast downfield. And this Ravens defense is particularly susceptible downfield on deep balls, on downfield throws. So I like Boston to catch a big one, top 100 yards, top 10 wide receiver on the week.

Book it.

Boston baked tight touchdown, by the way.

I like that. That's well done.

And that's the graphic at the bottom of the screen for this. So let's see if Mossy can top this up. He comes up with some of these.

Trevor, what do you got?

Yeah, the hot take for that one was just comparing anybody to Randy Moss. He didn't even have to name the statistic there for Denzel Boston. Look, I talked about Tyler Warren and how much I like him in this matchup here. We're going one receiving touchdown, one rushing touchdown. And if you want to pour the whole bottle of Frank's Red Hot on this bad boy. Give me a passing touchdown as well. So depending on how spicy you like your food there, I think that Tyler Warren could just do everything for them this weekend.

Look, I like it.

I typically don't eat spicy food for obvious reasons. But for me, I don't even know if this is like a super spicy take. But Bryce Young finishing as QB1 on the week. I know it might be the best matchup because it's a road game against the Eagles. But let's keep in mind here, Philly's coming off of a loss, a tough one where Nick Sirianni took the blame for– Bryce right now is sitting in the top five in terms of quarterbacks. He continues to rack up ridiculously fantasy numbers.

And if it comes down to it, I kind of trust Bryce right now. And I don't know if I would have said that, I don't know.

Even last season.

So he's surging right now. I think Bryce has got a chance to absolutely ball out.

Trevor, you rock. Matt, you as well. We'll see you next week. We'll see you next week.
