Let's use the analogy. We celebrate rather than fear it. Right? If during Halloween you see a witch or a ghost or a skeleton, someone puts a skeleton sitting in their front porch, you'll go behind and think, oh, those are good Halloween decorations. That's good. But if you were to see that during March or April, you'd be like, what is wrong with them?
Or oh, whoa, what is that? Is that real? You get spooked by it. But then if you see it in October, you're like, ah, clever. That's good. Think about it. Or do people even trick-or-treat anymore? I don't I don't even know. Do you just like do it via your iPad and then someone delivers the can? I don't know.
But we won't go talk to our neighbors anymore to ask for a cup of sugar, unless, of course, you live in a neighborhood like that and you're very lucky. But we'll go ask, we'll go knock on strangers' doors for candy. All because of a make-believe holiday that we came up with. I know it's got historical origins and roots to it, but just think about how powerful it is.
And I want to use that analogy for this chaotic retrograde season. If anything comes up that scares you, stop. Don't run from it. Turn around and look at it and say, hi. On any other day, this wouldn't bother me. But now that I know what's going on, I'm gonna just analyze you. I'm gonna look you up and down.
I'm gonna walk behind you and look at you and go, wow, look at that. Be the observer of anything that comes up during this week, especially under the big full moon. Just be an observer, be a curious observer collecting data. That's all you have to do. And if you're anchored in that, you have nothing to be afraid of.
Because when we astrologers say, oh, by mid-November into December, you'll know your decision. That's kind of fearful, right? You could say, oh no, that looming decision I have to make, or that looming conversation. But here's how astrology works: it buffers and prepares you. Each transit, Saturn's somewhere in Aries in your chart, teaching you discipline that you'll need to get through something in the future.
Neptune is somewhere in your chart with Saturn, actually, giving you faith in that area of life. Jupiter is somewhere giving you a boost of good luck, saying, hey, yeah, whatever about those retrogrades. I'm squaring them anyway. It's like Jupiter is in Leo, somewhere in your chart, showing you where there's great rewards, but he's squaring these Scorpio retrogrades, giving you a little like, oh, I see what I'm capable of, I see what I can achieve, but there's just these emotions and feelings.
And if it's literal Scorpio things, it's a sexual connection or shared finances with someone or a fear of betrayal and intimacy, a fear of losing intimacy with someone or breaking up with someone, losing an income stream at a job you hate that's getting in the way of something you can smell. You smell it.
The fire has started in that Jupiter Leo house of yours, and you're like, all right, how do I hop over the fence? Don't hop the fence yet. You and I are just walking through the forest, checking out the trail. You and me, you got a Scorpio moon astrologer here on your side. We're gonna walk through while no one's looking and go, okay, we're planning our escape.
We're gonna get through this together, okay? Let's go walk through the woods. All right, let's leave a little marker there. Let's leave a piece of your shoe there. Let's leave something from my hat over there so we know when it's time to go, we're laughing. We're running away, we're scared, but we're laughing.
And we're jumping over the fence and we're going to what we know we deserve. Hi, everybody. Welcome to another episode of the Astrology Lounge. When I was doing my mic check, I said Light Workers Lounge. Old habits die hard, especially during retrogrades. What's up? How are you? How's your week going?
As you guys listen to this, it is Tuesday, the 20th of October, and today we're gonna talk about the sun and Libra opposite Chiron and Aries. Be sure to visit the website astrology-lounge.com to book a private reading with me or to have more ways to take your astrology education off of the airwaves. And because we have a full moon coming up, I'm constantly telling you guys time is flying.
And I'm like, is it just me? But I can't believe we have a full moon this weekend. What? I can't believe it's almost Halloween. Geez. But we have a free full moon playlist. I made it years and years ago, back in like 2019, 2020, when I lived in a treehouse on the Florida Keys. I would just watch the full moon rise over the beautiful Atlantic or the Gulf and think, oh man, what's a good song?
Music really makes or breaks a moment. Speaking of invisible energy, dictating reality like Halloween, have you ever watched a show or a movie and paid attention to the music playing in the background? So many times we've watched scenes in a show and said, if this music, this like high-pitched violin screech wasn't there, I wouldn't be feeling anxious or nervous at all.
Or if there's like a romance scene and the piano starts playing, you're like, wait, if you remove the music, this would be so awkward to watch. Like music makes and music is such an energetic vibe. It can totally change a mood. I think I speak from experience. My Scorpio moon, man. When I am upset, I want silence.
Nothing on because my inner world is loud and deep. But I grew up with two Leo moons, all right? It was I was outnumbered. And so whenever there was something sad or heavy going on in the house, my mom, my Leo moon mom, her go-to song. I have to play it. I it's just it deserves more than me just singing it.
Just picture me, a Scorpio moon child, like my world is over. I'm not gonna eat for four days. I don't even know if I want to live anymore. And then here's my mom. I don't know if I can play that much. I'll get hit with a copyright. But she would just put that song on and start dancing. And I was like, just picture a gothic Scorpio moon just staring out the window with dark circles under my eyes as that song echoes throughout the house.
I'm like, thanks, Mom. But honestly, by about two minutes into the song, it does something to your energy, whether you like it or not. So shout out to Aquarius, Mom. She knows what she's doing. Okay, guys, let's talk about the energy of today. The sun opposing the wound, the identity, playing tug of war with the moon.
This is like a day. And of course, there's a sphere of influence. So you could feel this yesterday, the past weekend, all the way into this coming weekend, underneath of this full moon. So I'm putting out these series of episodes to understand what we're building up to. This huge lucky charms. If you don't know what I'm talking about, listen to the previous episode.
Lucky Charms release of the Taurus full moon on Sunday. This is a major lesson around am I being influenced to be someone I'm not? I think so many of us are because of social media and the internet. It's very easy for us to confuse who other people are. And it's also very easy for us to share what's happy, what lights us up, what's exciting, and like that's awesome.
But then sometimes we don't realize that we are a victim of group think because of how much we are influenced by what we take in on all social media platforms. Now that's the bigger collective picture, but individually, our closest relationships, of course, we behave like our the people that raised us, our parents, we behave like the person we're married to or in a long-term committed partnership.
Our friends, what do they say? You are a product of the five people you talk to every day. And so I feel like this sun opposite Chiron, this day, October 20th, Tuesday, is we can really start to see where we've maybe lost our sense of self, right? It's like Libra versus Aries. Sun's in Libra. Chiron is in Aries.
Pretend all you want, just to keep the peace, but you're just delaying the inevitable. You're not escaping it. You can say, sure, yes, absolutely, I got it. Don't worry about it. Until you're worrying about it and it's not okay. And people are double shocked by how much rage you have, or if you're sad, you know, how you suddenly just disappear and run away.
They're like, I never saw it coming. Right? Whenever people are shocked by like a couple announcing divorce or separation, I'm always like, Are you really though? Are you really though? Like it's always the ones who put on the biggest facade on social media, like they are just mint, doing so well that I'm like, oh boy.
Somebody needs to go do a house check on those people. But it's the sun opposite Chiron. It's time for all of us to realize where have we been pretending? Probably in the Libra House, being illuminated by the sun. But the truth where Chiron is in Aries, and Chiron entered Aries. We're gonna reflect on a few dates here.
Chiron entered Aries back in 2018. Now it was nowhere near this late degree. They'll both be at 28 degrees. However, that is when our lesson around the wound of individuality, Chiron and Aries, really began. So reflect back to 2018. What lesson around taking a risk, choosing yourself, and being independent is coming to a head, coming to a graduation of sorts?
And another date to reflect on is the middle of May 2026, this year, specifically that May 16th, Taurus New Moon. Was there something in your life that made you feel rejected, unappreciated, overlooked, like you really needed to fight for yourself? I'll share my story. That was the day that Mr. Virgo and I were running the Keys 100 race, one of the best times of my life.
Truly, just as an individual, being in the Keys and being his crew, and then as a couple with him, just banner, banner moment for us. However, that was the first time that I really looked around at all the very fit people around me, but also photos of myself and thought, whoa, I'm not overweight, so to speak, but I'm not in shape.
What happened? What happened? Because in 2018, I was in really good shape. I just, and now of course I have to take into account I am older. I'm almost a whole decade older. And in your 30s, that is when hormones start to take precedence. But it's like I ignored it or I didn't tend to it. And I know I'm not saying that I'm like severely looking at myself, but I think we all have these moments where we're like, wait, what happened?
Or whether it's just me accepting that this is my aging body and this is what it looked like. And back in 2018, I was 29 years old, 28, 29. And so, of course, I had a different body composition. I was in a different phase of life. Uh, Aries rules my 12th house. And so I was just isolated nearly most of the time for 36 hours, stayed up straight.
And I had these moments to think, like, how do I get in shape like this? I that was the first time that I was like, wait, I want to be able to run with him. I want to do like a relay race with him, but right now I would hold him back so bad. And I used to just say, I'm a Taurus rising, uh, Jupiter in my first house, predisposed to this.
I'll be your snacks person, but now I'm like, well, wait, I have Mars and Aries in my 12th house. Why do I tell myself that story? Why do I laugh and brush it off like I am not athletic? What if I actually am? What if I sign up for the Keys 100 and I place? Like right now, from where I said, I'm like, yeah, freaking right.
But what I've I started to think about it and I was like, maybe I might want to try these things to work on my mental health, but as a result, my physical health to preserve my muscles and my youth and be just strong. So for me, I'm kind of connecting the dots and thinking that Taurus new moon, which is also when Chiron was at 28 degrees Aries, as it will be again uh today, as you listen to this, that brought it up for me.
And well, I just took a break from my strength training with my cool new adjustable weight. So this morning I said to Mr. Vergirl, I think I want to get a weighted vest to add to my workout. But the squishy kind, the soft sandbag kind, not the metal plates you have. So I think mine is Aries physical fitness, but as a result, my my mental health.
I really want to feel in control of my mental health. So that's mine. I just thought I would share that with you to see what comes up for you. Now again, Aries rules my 12th house. Libra is trans, or the Libra sun is transiting my sixth house of my daily routine. And so I'm a firm believer that, okay, well, if I don't like how I feel or how I look, I just gotta tweak my daily routine.
I've been a health coach prior to this. I know what to do. Why haven't I been doing it? That was always the question that rang so loud in my client sessions when I had my holistic health coach practice called evolve to health. I just wanted to help people evolve their mindset to understand that health isn't just eating granola and starving yourself and not having a good time.
It's a mindset. And so my Aries Chiron story is I want to feel good. I just want to go back to changing my daily routine to fit who I am now because in my 20s, I was miss strict black coffee, no dairy, no gluten. I was a total party killer when I would go out and make it gluten-free. Can't be there. Is that no, can't do that?
You know what's one thing? I have not drank alcohol. Holy moly. 2023, I had a drink at a wedding, but that was it. 2022, nah, 2021, nah, maybe champagne on New Year's Eve. Listen, your girl loves a good hurricane or a margarita down in the Florida keys. Let's just and mamosas are yamosas to a Taurus Rising.
But I just nope, I haven't drank alcohol probably since 2020, 2021. It's I don't even think about it. In fact, we at Pug Fest, um, they had alcohol, they had beer and wine, and I just looked at it like, oh, yuck. Your poor livers. Not to like judge anyone, but I was just thinking of myself of like, man, if I drank that right now, I'd be sick for the rest of the day.
So that's just my personal example of what I'll be reviewing, looking at my birth chart. I would love to know what you guys are thinking of, what's coming up for you this week. So to put the history, the historical times that Chiron was at 28 degrees Aries back in May, May may have shown us where it hurts.
October may finally show you why. I can hear Jeffrey. Hey, what are you doing? It's like he was sniffing for crumbs. He literally sounded like a robotic creature. Can you guys just imagine what 1,417 pugs sound like? It's really overstimulating at first, but then when it got normal, I was like, wow, this is incredible.
You know, with all these retrogrades, it's very easy to think that something in our physical reality is going to change, and that could scare us. But for a lot of us, these retrogrades do not mean that something external changes. It could simply mean that you finally recognize a pattern and decide to respond differently.
You finally recognize an imbalance and you decide to simply look at it or respond to it differently, to think about it, to twist the Rubik's Cube of that situation to a different color. It could be that subtle. So just want to throw that out there. So this is what we're dealing with Sun and Libra, opposite Chiron.
The sun is your identity, your sense of self. You know what I was thinking of? And again, I I have yet to read this in any astrological text or heared about any course I've taken. But the sun that the house sits in can be where someone loses themselves. That's the area of life that I'd say, oh, watch out, don't lose yourself here.
Because I started to just collect the data and analyze it and think, whoa, that's the area of life that is a theme for them where they can achieve lots of rewards and happiness and light, you know, sun. But it's also the area of life that you can lose your sense of self. Just an epiphany I had over the weekend, just thinking about data and transits and the people that I've met and their charts, and it totally tracks, right?
If you have your son in the first house, you can lose yourself or not even find yourself in the pursuit of so many different identities that you attach yourself to. Well, I am a boy mom. Well, I am a provider and I work here. This is my career. I am a sister, daughter, mother. It's like if your son's in the first house, don't lose yourself in the identity, the name of an identity.
If your son is in the fourth house, don't lose yourself in your family. Don't lose yourself to the family dynamic. If your son's in the seventh house, don't lose yourself in partnership. Oh, it's almost like a lot of us have that lesson to learn. Don't lose yourself in the other. Son in the tenth house, don't lose yourself in your career because you just might achieve massive success, but be really lonely at the top.
I don't know. Let me let me know what you guys think, but that's what I've kind of noticed. But that's the son, right? This is who I am. Now, Chiron, the wounded healer, stop thinking about him in a negative light, would you? Chiron is shaped like a key for a reason because it represents where we hold the key to unlock ourselves from a self-imposed prison in our chart.
Wherever Chiron sits is where me personally, when I'm dissecting a chart to help someone figure out what their purpose is, I say, Well, tell me what hurt you. Tell me where it hurts, tell me where it's sensitive. Hurt has a negative connotation. Tell me what area of life is really sensitive for you. Because that just might be the area of life you hold the key to, realizing how to heal on your own.
And as a result, there you go. That's a part of your purpose. Chiron is the wisdom you develop by confronting what hurts you. It's the wound you didn't choose or ask for when you were born with, but the wisdom you get to develop because of it. Okay. So the sun is in Libra. Our relationship with others.
How do I share my life with the other? How do I keep the peace while maintaining my individuality and making sure everyone here feels considered? And Aries is the sign that Chiron is in. Aries is the opposite. So it's individuality, independence, courage. It's self-preservation, the ability to stand up for yourself, even if it means rocking the boat and pissing people off.
So you have Libra, son, we, Aries, Chiron, but me. You see how a game of tug of war can be pulled between those? I mean, think about any fight you have with a friend, family member, or lover. It's typically me versus we. You don't hear me. Well, you don't understand me. Will you never take my thoughts into consideration?
Will you never take my needs into consideration? It's just a consistent battle of me versus we. That is kind of the sky under today's influence and leading up to this full moon. So an opposition is illuminating the wounds we've been carrying around our right to be independent within our relationships.
This may manifest in the real world as you realizing under these skies this week that you've been saying yes when you really want to say no. Or you've been so concerned about someone else's happiness that you've forgotten what makes you happy. Or the opposite could be true. Under this influence, you can realize where you've become so fiercely independent because of past hurt that you've stopped allowing relationships and friendships, lovers, romantic connections, business connections.
Have you become so Chiron and Aries? I have the wound of don't touch me, don't come near me, you don't get me, I'm not even going. I think a lot of people might resonate with the opposite where we've pushed love away. We've pushed community away because we want to maintain our individuality. Right? Now, here's the important part of this transit the person or situation triggering this wound is not necessarily the person who created it.
Think about all the times you have lost yourself or felt that your identity was under attack since 2018. I giggle because I just think of 2020 and how much that really just kicked off every sense of the political spectrum, the social beliefs. I mean, even today it's still kind of leaking into from what I've heard.
Based off of where someone stands with a Cornell 7 case, people are like losing family and friends over it. And it's like, wait, we're still doing this? Hold on, wait. So to make this practical and useful every day, think about these questions. Pause it and answer out loud if you need to. Ask a friend, send an audio message to someone you love.
Number one, where have you abandoned yourself to keep somebody else comfortable? Where have you abandoned what you wanted so that somebody else felt good? Number two, are you reacting to what's actually happening today or this week? Anything that comes up that triggers you, are you reacting to that? Or does something that hurt you you Years ago.
You guys know my favorite question. Does my reaction match the crime? Number three, how can you honor your own needs without disregarding somebody else's? How can you let people in while maintaining your boundaries and your sense of self? So if I could wrap up, because this is happening during Venus retrograde, and Venus rules the sun in Libra, so it's a very much a correlation, a big symphony that is being orchestrated in the sky to deliver us to something totally brand new.
Um, I would say starting next April to June, because we'll get to why later. But you should never have to abandon yourself to be loved by somebody else. You should never have to abandon how you look, how you feel to be loved or admired by somebody else, whether it's a stranger on the internet, whether it's followers on the internet, likes, subscribes, views, maybe a business partner, a lover, a friend.
You should never have to completely abandon your values in order to get that love and that connection. One question I think is so important to chew on during this week is we seek it's just a natural human thing, right? We we want some people, some groups to accept us because belonging is a natural human need.
But even at interviews, like job interviews or inner our dating, we want to win, we want to be chosen, we want to get the job, we want the person to call us back. But how often do you actually stop and say, wait, let me interview this employer back and see if I actually value their culture, their ethics, their work-life balance.
Let me let me like I looked online and they look pretty cool, but hold on. Let me do a two-way conversation here. Or if you're dating someone, you're like, I really hope they like me. I really hope I look my best. I really, but what are your standards? What are your values? Do they fit them? Even if they're funny and intelligent, do they fit your standards and values?
Now it's time for you to take that power back and simultaneously ask yourself have I built a fortress, a tower of standards and values that are absolutely humanly impossible to meet out of a sense of preserving my identity because I'm reacting from so many times that people have just squashed and attacked and stolen my identity and snuffed it out.
And so, mm-mm, I am not gonna let anybody come for my sense of self and autonomy, my body, my myself. No more. I'm not losing myself in marriage, I'm not losing myself in parenthood, I'm not losing myself in caregiving for people who wouldn't answer the call if I needed help. That's the overarching theme is hey, I love my people.
I love my people hard, and I would like to invite more cool people and lovers into my life, but I'm gonna start taking myself into more consideration. Or I'm gonna gently let down my guard because I know I'm safe. No matter what happens, if I let down my guard and someone comes in and they try and poison my drink yet again, I have no problem now saying, hey, thanks, but no thanks.
Get out. So you're all it's a win-win. What are you worried about? Now, because I love historical data to really understand transits, I want to wrap this up by giving you key dates to reflect on. October 17th, 2025, almost exactly one year ago, this was the last time that the sun was opposing Chiron.
Now it was at 24 degrees, Libra, and 24 degrees Aries, so not the same critical degree, but it was the last time we felt this energy. So what were you learning about independence, about rejection and compromise around this time last year? May 10th to May 28th was Chiron. This year, 2026, was Chiron's first pass through the 28th degree of Aries.
So especially that May 16th new moon, that was important. Mars was conjunct um Chiron at that time, right? It was Mars conjunct Chiron. Let me verify. Yep, Mars was conjunct Chiron at 28 degrees Aries on May 16th. So definitely during that period, something may have come up that revolved around insecurities or questions about your independence within a connection.
So reflect on that date as well. Um and here, September 17th, 2026. Do you remember what happened that day? I do, because I've got it clustered on my wall. This is when Chiron went back into Aries. So if you remember, Chiron actually left the Aries arena this summer, from June to September. He dipped his toes into Taurus, and we will be talking about that quite a bit when we discuss the astrology of 2027.
But we got a preview, we got a taste of Taurus, and we got to let go of the Aries wound for the summer. Well, winter for my Southern Hemisphere listeners. But from June to September 17th, 2026, Chiron was in Taurus, but mid-September he went back into Aries. So, mid to late September is another good checkpoint.
Was there an unresolved issue around your identity, your personal freedom? What was coming up with relationships, boundaries? Hmm. Now the last thing I'll say is on October 28th, and I don't think I'll make an episode out of this one, so just write this one down and remember. October 28th, we are looking about one week from now.
Venus, still retrograde, will oppose Chiron. So right now we have the sun identity opposing Chiron, but Miss Venus herself will oppose Chiron at the 28th degree. So this something about what's coming up now may be revisited that same axis next week. I thought that was really interesting. So it's like the series of events this year.
May 16th, Mars is on the wound, the wound gets activated. September 17th, the wound is reinitiated. Um, October 21st, the sun, it really makes the wound visible. It's a light shining on it. And then October 28th, we're initiating a review of what came to light this week. Mmm, okay. I think that's good for now.
I hope you guys enjoy this episode. I hope it made sense. Remember, you are just observing. You are just stepping out and looking down and observing with your clipboard or your notebook and you're taking notes. You're in class, you're in the class of life. Relax. Don't worry about this stuff too much.
Just literally grab a notebook. Whenever you feel something or a conversation or something triggers you, I want you to literally grab your retrograde notebook and write it down. What did you observe? What did you feel? Don't make any decisions, just close it. All right, tomorrow, back in class, I'll take more notes on the game of life that is happening before my eyes.
We got this, guys. Okay, I will be back. What are we talking about next? I will be back to talk.
unknown Woohoo!
Our next episode will be Scorpio season. Libris, I hope you had a very lovely birthday. Solar return, Scorpios. Come on. You're up next. Your birthdays are upon us. I'll see you guys in the next episode. Sending love from Twin Moon Ranch outside of beautiful Austin, Texas. Bye.
