If I crack open this book and the first page is Nestus POV, I am I'm sad. If I open this book and the first page is an Azrael POV, great if. It's an Elaine POV. I'm also good if it's an heiress POV. My socks are fucking blown off and I would lose my mind. I will say, of all of the podcasts that I did expect her to go on to start this whole adventure, Call Her Daddy was not at the top of my list.
So for context, because we're just jumping right in here. And jumping in. You guys probably all know what we're talking about. There have been rumors this week that we are recording this. And to be clear, by the time this episode is released, we will probably know if these rumors are troubling. So this is totally a moot point.
There are rumors that Sarah J Mass is going on call her daddy, I think at the beginning of March. I think at the beginning of March, we also have one of our discorders who's super tech savvy has been looking at the source code for the Bloomsbury website. And it's like they've been making all these moves.
They're posting, but not they're, they're posting on their back end but not putting on their UI. All these reading guides for ACOTAR and Throne of Glass, which is very interesting that they're doing ACOTAR and Throne of Glass but not Crescent City. So basically moves seem to be happening. Things seem to be moving.
It seems like we're getting set up for Sarah J mass announcement and it seems like she is choosing to make that announcement perhaps on call her daddy, which a lot of people have very strong opinions about. I don't know how you feel. I mean. I don't know. I don't think I have that strong. Like of the podcasts that exist that are very, very popular that I expect the audience is primarily women.
I would put Caller Daddy and Good Hang Hang by Andy Poehler at the top of the list. And I would probably expect the audience of Caller Daddy to maybe be a little bit, I don't know, younger, more geared towards these books. So I'm not going to be mad at her. I'm not going to be mad at her. I know a lot of people have been like, why isn't she making this announcement on like a bookish podcast basically? And I'm like, because she wants new people to be reading this book, guys.
As a bookish. Party going to read it. I'm not that offended. I don't know. She's going for audience here. I get it. Yeah, yeah. No, I mean, I hope. Look again, obviously, I think by the time this is released, we'll know one way or another. I have not listened to much. Call her daddy. Yeah, but you know, she got where she is. For some reason.
I assume that she's a somewhat good interviewer and who knows? I'm, I'm looking forward to it. I'll definitely listen to it if it's real. I also feel like she's not, at least from what I've seen of her interview interviews. She's not a cloud chaser. Like, I have seen her interview with people. I have, I have no idea who they are. I'm like, she Alex Cooper.
No, she's Sarah J Masse. She she Sarah J Masse. Sarah J Masse is out there interviewing with people. I'm like, who is this? So I'm, I don't think that she's generally somebody who's like, I won't deign to interview with no, like these people, no. No, no, I don't think, I don't know she's strategically. Planning.
Hopefully. Knock on wood, a freaking book announcement. That's my thinking, right? You don't go on call her daddy for no reason. You go on call her daddy because you want to reach the maximum amount of people who you think would be interested in what you have to say. If this isn't a book announcement, if it's not a book, it's going to be.
I don't know what to do. It could be ATV show announcement that. 'D be cool too, but. If you think about like what we got with four swing, that was just kind of a press announcement, right? That wasn't a I'm going to go like it's more than Sarah J mass involved if it's ATV show, right. So it would feel a little weird for her to go her to go on a podcast for the TV show. But I could be wrong.
I don't know the inner workings of these things. Yeah. I don't know. I'm excited about it either way. I'm going to listen. I understand perspectives that might be upset or confused, but I'm personally not upset. I'm not upset or confused because this also means to me she has faith that whatever she's promoting is going to be extremely interesting, right?
That people outside of her regular fan base will care about it, right? If anything, I'm like fuck yeah, this means that something is about to be really, really good. This is a confident, absolutely. This is a this is a confident fucking move from her, and I'm here for it. Yeah. And I mean, not to say that Sarah J Maas is not on another level because she absolutely is, but Alex Cooper interviews, like very renowned people, like she's her podcast is a big fucking deal.
Like, yeah, she's probably about to dig into something pretty interesting. I'm. I'm excited about it. I'm excited about it, having listened to exactly 1 episode of Call Her Daddy. I will listen to this one. This will be my second one. Yeah, I mean, I'm not going to lie, but the podcast itself, I'm not I'm just not a big talk show podcast person.
And it's not about the podcast or the podcaster. Like I don't even really. And I love Amy Poehler. I don't really listen to Good Hang that much. Yeah, I don't either either. Just because I'm not I'm not listening to interview style podcasts on a regular basis. It's it's just not my not my bag. But I think, you know, the the podcast speaks for itself.
The popularity speaks for itself. I'm sure Alex and Amy and all of them do a great job. So I will be listening. I will be listening. I will be listening and I hope that. We get some. Good questions. I hope I will hypothetically be listening to this hypothetical podcast. Look, even if the biggest criticism I've seen is like no one's going to ask her the like hard hitting plot heavy questions, right?
Do you think she's going to give us answers to those questions even if we ask them and I'm sure. That was strategic. I'm sure that was strategic because I also from Sarah interviews get the sense that she is less into that than Rebecca Yaros is like Rebecca Yaros, I think use these interviews as kind of a game.
She's like, yeah, yeah, ask me the hard hitting questions like I'll give you cryptic answers. I'm going to invade as best as I can, yeah. Let's go. Sarah, I think will, like, laugh if she thinks that something is hilarious. Like, is there a debate about this? That's absurd. Yeah. Yeah. But she is generally not trying to put herself in situations where she has to answer plot points in an interview.
Like, she's just not that type of author. Yeah. Which I think is very normal. Usually, you want most authors, I would argue, want the books to answer most of the questions or leave questions unanswered that are supposed to be. So. Yeah. With that. Hi. I'm Ronnie, I'm Abby and this is Dragons in the Details, the podcast that helps you better understand your favorite fantasy books over the course of an undetermined number of episodes. We are currently covering, not for much longer, a court of Coins and roses, the series also known as a guitar by Sarah J Maas.
This is our last official episode of our a guitar season. Crazy guys, it's. Been a fucking ride. Been a ride. Never thought we'd be here. Never. I never thought when we started this season we'd end up where we're at. We're here. Right. And to be so clear, we're definitely not done talking about a guitar in general, but this is the end of our A guitar season. So disclaimer.
This episode contains spoilers for the entire Aqtar series. We announce any other masks for spoilers. So spoilers for Crescent City and throw it a glass ahead of time. We keep them to the second-half until we say so. Aqtar only spoilers. Another disclaimer, this podcast is raved at R, so do not listen to it with your children without an accompanying parent or guardian. Each week we dive into a specific topic and depth. This week is a little different since it's our Aqtar season wrap up.
We are doing book 6 predictions. Which might end up being so fucking timely, who knew? Yeah, so timely maybe I mean if this if this is somehow timed with the XR Book 6 announcement like? The gods are smiling. The gods are smiling on us. The Mother, the Cauldron, whoever, whatever, someone is smiling on us.
So yeah, everybody, just everybody say a little, say a little prayer to the Mother. We come with receipts. We have quotes to back up any theory so you can follow along if you were skeptical. This is mostly about predictions for Book 6, so we're going to going to talk about, you know, at the culmination of all of the theories that we have put forth over the last what, like 25 episodes or whatever it was, if this is somehow. Your first time joining us?
Please stop here. Yeah, please go back season. We do have people I have seen this in our comment section who are like this is my first episode I'm listening out of order, which is totally fine. We generally mention if we think you should listen to another episode before listening to what we're talking about South totally fine to join in whatever. But we are saying right now do not join in here. We don't think you should join in here. I.
Just don't think it. You'll know what's going on. Yeah, we. Probably jump in it like here Reece family maybe Reece family episode family deep dive probably I don't know just anywhere else, truly anywhere except. For the I would say the most, now that we are at the end, just to do a little retrospective, the most critical episodes of this season for me were Reese's family, Nesta, Azrael, probably Eris and High Lords I think would be my top five, but I don't know if you have a top five. We had a lot, yeah, I would say Reese family, Nesta agree. I actually think Elaine had low key kind of kind of. Elaine had interesting ideas.
Yeah, specifically as it relates to cache. Yeah. Agree on Azrael, both of parts of Reese. I think you need to listen to Heiress. I think the library and the prison too, honestly. OK, just listen to all of them. I think you need to listen to the library and the prison. Anyways, we come with receipts. We have posts to back things up.
This week is going to be mostly about predictions, announcements. Abby Deep dive music as always, brought to you by Schwidley, that is. SCHWOODLEY as Ronnie just said, this is our last official a Qatar episode for this stretch. By the way, guys, obviously when a Qatar 6 comes out, we're going to do a whole nother a Qatar season. Don't worry.
It's kind of like there's more acotar to be had. It's just for now, Season 3, our third season, is going to be on Crescent City. We recommend that you start either rereading or reading that now. If you have not yet read it, you've probably heard our spiel. Crescent City is very good. We know it's a little different than typical fantasy books. It's in a modern setting, It's a modern, it's in a modern setting.
It's an urban fantasy. It's very good. We both highly recommend it. We are going to take a little break. We don't know exactly how long that break is going to be, but Ronnie and I also have to reread Crescent City. So it will be a little while because these are long books, but not too long. We promise you won't be too long.
Also reminder, we're going to do a couple bonus episodes. So this is our last official episode of this season. We're going to do at least two bonus episodes. So next week we are going to do a bonus episode on Wuthering Heights, the movie that everyone has an opinion on. Don't worry, we've got opinions too.
We're going to we're going to do a bonus episode of Wuthering Heights. The week after that we are going to do a mass first only bonus episodes. You guys will hear more details about that in two weeks when that comes out. And let's just throw this out right now. If Sarah J Maas is on, Call Her Daddy, if it's a good interview, certainly we might do a reaction episode. Can't promise that.
I don't know what her plans are. She hasn't looped me in. But you know, if it happens, if it's anything like Rebecca Yaris's interview at Romanticybookcon, which I can't imagine it is. But if it's anything like that, we will be back. We will be back, don't you worry, and you'll be like, I thought these girls were taking a break. I hear them every week.
We'll be back before you know it. As per usual, if you like us, if you like what we do, if you think we're cute, please like, comment, subscribe, follow us on any platform, wherever you get. Your podcasts are on pretty much all of them, which is great. If you follow us on Apple Podcast, we've been getting some really awesome comments on Apple Podcast. So thank you so much to everyone who has done that. If you would like to leave us a comment, If we like them, if we think they're funny, sometimes we read them out loud. So that's just a motivation for you if you would like to do that.
Yeah, that's all I have for for announcements. Cool, good stuff. All right, Corrections, omissions and social media shout outs for Acatar only spoilers. Abby, do you have any? I do have fun and this is going all the way back to our very first Fury episode of the season about Tamlin. So this is from, I think her name is B, but it might be Baya. Sorry, it's Bea.
I'm not sure how you pronounce that. I apologize on Spotify. So this is a Spotify comment. So, you know, comment on Spotify if you like us. So way back in our Tamlin episode, I had a theory that Tamlin might be a secret de Modi or was originally written meant to read minds and then she changed her mind.
I don't know. We also had a theory when we were talking about Reese that being Damati is genetic and that Reese's father might have also been a Damati. We had So what B said her Bay, I said on Spotify was what if Tamlin's father was also a Damati, which I don't think I'd ever fully thought about. What if Tamlin's father was also a Damati and that's how he found out about the locations of Reese's mother and sister. And Reese doesn't know because he doesn't go into people's minds unless he's invited.
And Tamlin is still keeping that a secret for some reason. So basically, instead of Tamlin betraying Reese's mother and sister, what happened is that Tamlin's father, if Tamlin is a day body and if this is genetic, what into Tamlin's mind and read his mind and got the location that way. And for whatever reason, Tamlin is still keeping this a secret from Reese. There could be a lot of reasons why he would do that. I really like that idea.
And we're going to talk about this later in the episode. This is one of our questions. We've been teased A Tamlin redemption arc, right? This is such an unforgivable thing for him to do that I think there has to be more to the story that we haven't gotten betraying Reese's family like that. If we're getting a redemption arc, there has to be there has to be some kind of explanation that like it was out of Tamlin's control.
So I like this theory. I think it could be this good. Looks Baya. I like it, yeah. And I think I'm latching more and more on to the idea that, like, even though we're told these powers are not genetics, they actually are. Everything we're seeing is passed down by bloodlines. Yeah, yeah, I like it.
Thanks, Bab. Thanks, Bab. You're going to laugh at this, but I've gotten 6. I counted comments asking me what the lip stain color is. That makes my color the same as your lip color. Yes, this is a stain. This is not the color of my lips. My lips are the same color as my skin. So this is me answering that comment. This is it.
It's Rare Beauty Lip stain in Delight and that's my car only social media. That's our cause, that's our cause. Lip stain in the color delight that makes my lips look like normal lips delight. Shout out to our banter topic. That was What's it like to have? Pig lips. OK, cool. All right, we do have a fun question.
Yes, so we got guys for the first time ever, but I actually love this idea. I don't know why we haven't done this before. We got a fun question from a listener. They DM Ed it to me. They didn't even mean for it to be a fun question. They just wanted my opinion on the matter. And I said, wait, this is such a good question.
I have to read this on the podcast. So that listener was Carolyn. They DM me on Facebook. So thank you, Carolyn. I've not prepped Ronnie for this question. I haven't really prepped for this question. It's going to be very off the cuff. The question is, they're playing an Acatar drinking game where you have to drink every time.
Sarah uses the same repetitive phrase in different scenarios. What phrase are you picking? I can go first if you want. Okay, okay. Mine is definitely in a voice, young and old, blah, blah, blah. The way she describes the voices where she always does like a triplicate of three and it's always like young and old, soft and hard, where it's like opposite things. And she does that all the fucking time. Because having gone through all these rabbit holes to be like, what is this voices mean?
I think it's just a turn of phrase. I think she just likes to say it. And it's kind of driving me crazy. But that's OK. I still love you, Sarah. I think mine would be. I totally agree with them. She does this a lot. Like, she. She totally. And like every author does. It's not. Yeah, it's fine.
Yeah, like the more, especially in fantasy, the more you read, the more you realize, like every author has their thing cough solar plexus, Cali Hart. Like every author has a phrase that they stick on. I think mine would definitely be her describing people, but especially Reese as positively feline. Like any descriptor of being like a cat. Typically the words feline.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. She does throughout feeling a lot. She also does the she'll always do in triplicates, like the where is she, where is she, where is she? Like where is he, where is he, where is he, which is, again, it's not bad, but like all the time, all the time that comes up. Yeah. So there's a lot.
I thought that was a good fun question. So if you guys have a fun question for us that you want us to answer, submit it. We'll read it out loud. These are hard to come up with, so we are happy to hear from. You these are hard to come up with. They are. It's it's not so much they're hard to come up with, it's hard for them to be genuinely fun and related to the content. Yeah.
As evidenced by our soup question for the. Soup got a lot of responses. Soup got. A lot of responses, Yeah. Wow, there's so many good ones for that question for Sarah to like male satisfaction is another like, yeah, big one. Yeah, yeah, it's a good one. It's a. Good one, because it's hard to separate out what she's intentionally doing and what is just like, she just like leads on this phrase a lot, you know?
Right, Yeah, yeah. Like the, the, the triplicates. I feel like you could argue that she leans on a lot like young and old. Yeah, I don't know. Are we supposed putting theories from that? I don't know. I don't know. Phantom Wind. Phantom. Oh, my God. That Phantom wins. The Phantom wins. The hair rising up on a phantom win. Yeah.
Rough, calloused hands, I think might have been one that Carolyn shouted out, but yeah, everyone's got these rough callus General. Shall we deep dive? We shall. OK, Abby. Who? Do you think will be the POV characters in book sex? I gotta get my head the game I had too much fun, but that fun question, I'm like thinking about these things. All right, so so far, just to sum up, you guys all know this, but just for shrink contacts we've had, I'm not counting Frost and Starlight.
Let's put Frost and Starlight over to the side for our main books for not our novellas. We have had one first person POV and that is Farah and occasionally Reese. So sorry. We've had two first person PO VS Farah and Reese. We have had two third person PO VS and that is Cassian and Nesta. And then in Frost and Starlight we also got more, but we didn't get as real, right? Unless I'm mistaken, I think we only got more. We didn't get as real, but are you? I think it's also worth calling out the bonus chapters. We have a bonus chapter.
I didn't go through all the bonus chapters, but I did go through as reels. We have a bonus chapter as reel POV, yes. All right, so just have I missed anyone or are those all the POV that we've got? No, I think it's all the POV. I think that's all the POV we've got. So on the one hand, this is interesting, right? Because if you're looking at Frost and Starlight as a template, the only POV character in that book that we haven't gotten a book yet about is more.
Things got to be a more POVI mean. I don't think so. I kind of hope not, but like we haven't gotten that yet and the seeds have been planted for that. Let's put that aside for now because I don't have that much interesting shit to say about that. If we are getting Elaine's story, all these books are romances at their at their base, right? If we are getting Elaine's story, I think we have to have our first truly multi POV book, by which I mean more than two people because we have a lot of options for who Elaine might end up with.
And if we only have two PO VS, it's going to make it like kind of pretty obvious from the get go. Like if this book is only written with Elaine and Azrael's POV, then I think it's going to be pretty obvious that they end up together. That's just my opinion. So I think if this is an Elaine book, I feel pretty confident that we would get PO VS from Elaine, Azrael and Lucian.
I feel I feel pretty confident that that is probably what would happen based on the current situation we have now where Lucian is her mates, Azrael seems interested in her, and we have a lane as our kind of like primary protagonist here. I think we might. This is Tier 2. So I have my tier one confident Tier 2 maybe.
I think we might get Gwynn as an additional POV character because of what happened in the Azrael bunch chapter, but like she's kind of involved in this romantic entanglement. And if you guys don't know what happened in the Azrael POV chapter, Azrael and Gwynn flirted pretty hard. She is potentially involved in this from a romantic entanglement. Also potentially Vasa, especially if we are having a Cochet story because Vasa and Lucian seem to have something going on here.
So I'm up to like 5 potential POV characters, which I do think is pretty, not necessarily a lot for Sarah J Mass, but definitely a lot for ACOTAR. Would be a big departure from what ACOTAR has been thus far. And then I have 3 tier 3 complete wild card options. But do you want to talk about anything I just talked about first?
Yeah, I, I struggle to see this being a hard pivot to Elaine's POV because we've got nothing like we, we've truly gotten nothing. We've never been in her head. So at least when we moved into Nesta and Cassian's point of view, we got like, we got a bonus chapter. We had like an inclination that this was going to like bleed into their story. And I suppose we've had some of that like from Azrael's perspective, but everyone thinks this is going to be an Elaine book.
And I hope that it is like I hope that we like Veer like just hard left into her story. But I, I think, I think this still might be a heavy Nesta book. Like I think also is out there and I think we can still learn more about Elaine. But I, I think this might be more of a Nesta and maybe like an Azrael book.
Yeah, potentially. And maybe maybe more as well. I don't know. I guess I have the same, like if it's an Elaine book, I totally agree with all the POV's that you listed, but I struggle with Elaine because we have nothing, like we don't know anything about what's going on in her head. And to open up the next book with, like, Elaine's mind feels very like on Sarah.
Yeah, like that's not really happened, I don't think, unless I'm thinking about this incorrectly. Well, I don't know what I want to say here because it hasn't happened in ACOTAR. I would argue it's happened in Toronto Glass. I don't, I don't know how much you want me to say, but like an air of fire, we get a completely new character who wasn't even mentioned on the page.
We get them as a POV character. Yeah, but. Yeah. So if it's an Elaine book, I completely agree with you. But I also could see a world in which this is a continuation of Nesta and we still are getting like bleed insurance basically from other characters. And I can see that to learn more about Elaine and Azrael and Lucian and like all of those characters through that lens because Nesta has basically been set up at this point to continue mastering the trove. Yeah, and I mean, well, there is another option where it is we have been saying it's Elaine's book because we are thinking this of this series as anchored by the Archeron sisters, but it's also anchored by Reese, Cassian and Azrael, right. So this could just be Azrael's
POV, like it could just be a continuation of the bonus chapter essentially. Oh no, I would love that. Terrible. That would be great. But if it is that, if it is that and it's a first person, I think that raises a lot of interesting questions. Maybe a first person. Yeah, OK. Well, Nesta wasn't a first person.
But NASA had Cassian, we had Nesta and Cassian switching off with Azrael. It's the same problem. We need to have other people. We need to have more than him switching off with Elaine because then yeah, yeah. So then we have to have we would have to have an Elaine POV if it's not a first person. Right.
Like, yeah, which yeah, fine. Maybe we go there through Azrael because we definitely have had enough of enough involvement from Azrael and and we get in the Reese and fair of bonus chapter Reese saying like, I think there's more to Elaine than you guys have ever let her be. So maybe we're maybe we're all fine.
Maybe I'm overthinking it into Elaine's story. And I do, but I do think you know, the only could be a more as real story because they're the only two we haven't they're the only two characters we've had PO VS from that we haven't gotten books from. I don't care for it. Let me put it, it'd be a hard. Thing as real and more.
Yeah, if they were our two POV characters because their story is divert right rather than converging in my opinion. I don't know. I've certainly been doing this. Yeah, I would be totally good with IF if I crack open this book and the first page is Nesta's POBI Am. I'm fine if there's a if there's a Nesta trilogy that follows the favorite trilogy, I'm good. I'm good.
Yeah, I'm so fine with that. If I open this book and the first page is an Azreal POV, great, I'm good. If it's an Elaine POV, to be clear, I'm also good. If it's a more POV, I'm like Sarah. What arena I mean. I would also be intrigued because I have a lot of questions. I have many many questions for sure that I would like some answers to for sure. For sure, and she always airs POV. My socks are fucking blown off and I would lose my mind. He's on my tier 3 for complete.
My complete wild card POV's are Tamlin, Heiress, and more. I'd love it if it was an heiress POV. I don't think we'll ever got an heiress POV because he knows too many things that we can't know. So I don't know. But she's written characters that way before, where they're just keeping secrets from us. I would argue that Reese could be that character as well and we get his POV.
You know what? We have not argued that. This is going to be a Reese POV book, but man, that would be I would be happy with that too. You know what I'm kind of terrified of? That this could be in a lame parallel POV of fucking silver flames. I don't know how I'd feel about that. I. Don't like it.
How I feel about it. Israel was up to something during Silver Flames, though, which we've never really talked about, I don't think. Like there's a lot of Reese and Cassian having conversations where Reese is like, I need you to do this for me because Azrael is busy and there's no explanation about what Azrael is busy doing.
And more, something more is gone to the continent. All right, we're crochet because we're going to talk. More About This. All right, all right, all right, all right. Do you? Have anything else on POV? Oh wait, what was your other one? OK so my tier ones were Elaine, Azrael, and Lucian. If we're getting Elaine's story, I think those are our three POV characters.
My tier twos were Gwynn and Vasa. I would be so interested to get a Vasa POVI, just think her story is so different from everyone else's. And then my tier three complete wild card Emelin because people like to throw them out as an option for Elaine. You guys know how I feel about that. Personally I don't see it but Tamlin, Eris and more as our complete wild cards. So I 12345678 characters here.
She has done this. She has done an 8 person VOV book before but it but it's a hard sell. It's a hard sell for sure. Yeah, yes. Oh, and then I wrote, if this is a continuation of Nesta's story, I forgot I had this note, we could get Cassie and Nesta again. I would personally be very interested if we got Cassie and Nesta recent favor.
So recent favor as third person POB's and with Cassie and Anesta, I think that would be very interesting. I don't know if we'll get it, but. Why do you think they would be third person POB's given we has Port of Frost and Starlight With first person? You're right. I don't know, just to put them all on an equal playing field, like when I think when you have two first person POV's, those become your protagonist and everyone else is a side character.
And I don't really want that to be the case with Cassie and Anesta. I would be really surprised if she flipped them to 1st from. First, I would be too. But I would like the idea of all four of them being in a book, like in the next book, because I do Silver Flames. We missed everything with recent era, like there's clearly a lot going on. Yeah, just had no visibility to.
Yeah, yeah, I agree. All right, next. Question who do we think is going to be the antagonist for book sex? Yeah, I mean we. Left off silver flames with Briellen dead and crochet still at large. I think crochet is going to be our primary antagonist. I think we don't really know anything about him or whether he's linked to some greater.
So like if Crochet, whether Crochet is like the end of the big bad or whether he's linked to a bigger bad, I think that remains to be seen. He's like, he seems to be our biggest bad that we have met so far in Prithean. Like he's vying for power once before. He's been like manipulating people like they're puppets.
So I think he's going to be our big bad for Actor 6. We probably also have a pretty pissed off Baron to deal with. Yeah. I assume we can. Still lump in with Cachet probably because he pledged forces to Brie Allen, but whether he really understood that he was working for Cachet kind of remains to be seen in my opinion. Like that's like your question for a question for another day, a question for actor 6 probably.
But Baron is another force that's actively within Prithian that I think we have to, we have to deal with. And I think we'll have to deal with him specifically because Tamlin is a fucking mess. And Tamlin is like a. Border between Baron and all of the rest of Parthian yeah and I agree with you but I I think what she might be doing, which I would be here for I totally agree with you it's crochet but I'm wondering if the if the way that 1-2 and three works the king of Highburn trilogy if 4 if well it's called 567 I guess if 567 are the crochet trilogy. So we are our big bad for This is still Crochet, but we don't actually defeat him until the next book. Until.
Seven. You mean until 7:00? Until 7:00. Yeah, and we're still I, I think we are getting a lot of rumblings about Baron. We're getting a lot of. We also have Kier and the Illyrians have also been set up as problems for the Night Court. The Illyrians are constantly about to rebel and Kier is doing God knows what with the huge city.
And we have the fae on the continent. We got a lot of chatter about the fae on the continent being upset about the outcome of the war with Highburn and Silver Flames. So I'm wondering if Book 6 is more of dealing with all of those lower stakes political ramifications and then Book 7 is truly facing off against Crochet. But it's interesting because it feels to me that we'll get, we'll kind of get into this in the next 1. Azrael and Lucian and Vasa and Elaine are all so linked to Cochet's story that like, if they're not if, if that's not the story we're getting in Books 6, I don't know what role those four kind of play in Book 6, You know what I mean? Yeah, yeah, we're not getting well. And this is kind of really into
the next question. But if if we're not like actively fighting against Cochet specifically in Book 6, then I think we are potentially looking at a more anchored book, honestly, like a necessary to yeah, Morgan, Morgan. Morgan. Yeah, Morgan. 'S been off on the. Continent, and maybe that's like it, maybe as real as the POV in there too, because he's been off doing shit, but Moore's been away.
She's got a secret estate asking her to do a. Bunch of stuff. On the continent, she's playing with lower level political ramifications. Yeah, dealing with them, yeah. I think it's I don't know the Shay like I don't know that we can delay dealing with crochet for another book. Like we've seen him, like we've met him. We have not.
I agree him in the flesh, but like we met him in dementor format. Yeah, Yep, I agree. So I think it'll. Be crochet all right and we should probably just go to the next question now that we all right, what do we think will be the. Major plot points all right, I have just written out. A Book 6 fan fiction outline, if you will allow me.
All right, I think the catalyst of this story, if crochet is our big bad, we'll start with Lucian and Vasa. I think that Vasa's freedom, Vasa's bargain with crochet will basically run out. But Lucian will not want to let her go basically. And Lucian will, I'm going to say it. Guys have fallen in love with her because I don't think Lucian is actually in love with Elaine and even if they're mates, right?
So I think Lucian will like fall in love with Vasa and be like, I have to have to rescue her. And Reese will say, OK, Azrael, you've seen crochet. You know where he is, You're going with him. Elaine, you seem to, like, have a lot of insight into crochet with your seer abilities. You're going with them, too. And then, yeah, Reese will send Azrael and Elaine because she's a seer, because she's made, blah, blah, blah. I don't know.
And then leading to an unbelievable amount of awkward romantic tension. But like, I don't know, I think that could be the way it plays out. And Reese has specifically said in that Azrael POV bonus chapter, again, Reese specifically cites how important Lucian is as an ally for both Night Court and Autumn Court and Night Court and Spring Court, which is funny because he's not actually tied to either of those like biologically.
But you know, in theory, Lucian is actually like a really important player. And then I said, and maybe we throw in Gwynn Emery and more for fun because the Swan Maidens might be Valkyries. So we're launching a rescue mission for the old Valkyries with the new Valkyries. If you don't know what we're talking about, listen to our crochet episode. And then or Elaine.
One, so that's kind of, I think that I think the broad plot points will be we are we are rescuing Vasa from crochet. We are mounting some kind of rescue mission. Whether that ends in crochet staff or whether that happens in Book 7, I don't know. But I think in that rescue mission, we're going to get a lot of romantic tensions and politics and a lot of secrets uncovered.
Like does errors come with them out of loyalty dilution or does errors code with them because Baron wants Baron knows about this and like wants a spy or something. Like, what are the. I don't know the exact machinations of it, but I think those are the broad strokes. I think we're definitely going to see Elaine more fully master her seer abilities the same way we saw Nesta more fully master her silver flame power. We have.
Let me see this. Hold on. Yeah. And I don't care about reading that quote either, actually. But yeah, I think I think Elaine or more fully master her seer abilities as real. I think we got a lot of mentions of the blood duel in that bonus POV chapter. I think if Azrael and Lucian are coming into contact with each other for whatever reason, whether it's a lane or whether it's not, I think it will.
I think Azrael will challenge Lucian to the OR Lucian will challenge Azrael to the blood duel. But what I did notice in the bonus chapter, what's really interesting is that Reese says Lucian, as Baron's son, has the right to demand it of you. Yeah. It being the blood duel, Lucian is not Baron's son.
Reese knows that Lucian is not buried son. So yeah, I don't know that I don't know. Yeah, it sounds so. Azrael says it's an Autumn Court tradition, and Reese says he's Baron's son. He can do that. So I don't know that Lucian actually can. So I don't know that the blood duel is going to be a thing between the two of them.
Like that's what I'm saying. Sounds like it might. Not actually be an. Option. But that doesn't mean it's not an option to take place. I just think it might need to be invoked by someone of the Autumn Court heiress. Yes, and for those. Of you who don't know what we're talking about, in the Azrael POV bonus chapter, Reese says that if Azrael sleeps with Elaine, Lucian, As for mate, has the right to invoke the blood duel, which is a fight to the death. And Azrael says but I'll beat him. And Reese says, yeah, that's the fucking problem, dude, you can't beat him.
He's too important. Yeah, and let me finish. That theory because it haunts me at night and I don't want it to happen if I say it out loud. Maybe it won't happen if they are saying that somebody from the Autumn Court can invoke the Blood Duel. And this is Sarah's way of telling us, hey, like you have a right to invoke the Blood Duel if you are of the Autumn Court and that means that you can take somebody's mate. Is Eris going to fucking do that about Nesta? I will lose my mind.
That's it. ASEAN would destroy. Eris maybe? I think you have a right to defend. Your mating bond, I think you ever like. I don't know, Yeah, maybe. But what's interesting is that Azrael says he almost invoked the blood right when he found more in the woods. And the only reason he didn't was because because it was Moore's to claim. So I don't, I'm not totally clear on the rules of the blood right.
We've gotten teased with the blood dual, blood right? No blood dual. Sorry. Blood, blood dual. Blood dual. Blood right is something else. Blood dual right is something else. Even teased with the blood dual. May or may not come to pass. Other things I think might happen. I think Bri access might come back into play. We've gotten 2 books where Bri access has been hinted at. Time.
Time for our boy to come home, I think are discorders throughout the idea of a Knicks kidnapping plot line. I did see that, Yeah. Which? I thought was intriguing. Yeah, we, we've gotten a lot of Reese saying it's dangerous to be with me. Whoever would be with me, my wife or my mate, my children always have a target on their backs.
They would never be safe. He said that we've seen no evidence for that, right? Like no one has tried to come after Farah Nix was only just born. So we really don't don't know. It would be interesting if that plot line played out somehow. But the fucking emotional devastation that recent Farah would go through is not something I want for them. And also, who would be stupid enough? Like, who would be stupid enough to do this right? Like, Reece will destroy you.
I don't know. Crochet. Crochet. Yeah. So that's the other option. It has nothing to do with Vasa. It's next. Being kidnapped. Yeah. Yeah. But. Here's the thing for me, much like what we went through with Silver Flames, if there is a plot line where Nix is kidnapped and we do not get recent Farrah's PO VS for that plot line, I'll be so pissed.
Like like, yeah, like we just need to be with them for that. I would. I would be pissed as well, but I would settle for Nesta and Cassian PO VS because I actually really enjoy. I learned this from a different bonus chapter, but I really enjoy hearing Nesta's and Cassian's both PO VS of Reese when he is like a force.
Like specifically when he's angry. And I think seeing that come through in a Nick's kidnapping would be basically equivalent to hearing it from Reese's of mind. But you're only seeing the ugly side of it. And, and I actually think it would probably be more pleasant to read as well because you wouldn't be feeling, you know, I don't need pleasant I. Don't know how they're feeling.
Yeah, I know. I agree. But like like what would like what would you even write? I don't know. I'm not a I'm. Not a writer, no. I know, I know, I know. But like. No, I know. But I know what you're. Saying like, how would you even do? How do you put into? Words, the feeling of of Reese specifically.
But yeah. Yeah, I know. But like with Farrah, we. Have experienced like we. We know what she's like when she's in, like, the depths of despair. Yeah. For Reese, Yeah. We haven't experienced that, so I don't know. Yeah. Yeah. OK, those. Are my thoughts. What are your Yeah, I mean, I I would. Love the idea of boss's time running out just to to react to yours.
I took I took a different path just because I, I think there's like different options for how Vossa could play a role, but I would really like if she were what kind of brought us back to, to crochet is like her time running out and we need to go rescue, rescue Basa. We, we are left with again, like what we are left with at the end of silver flames is Nix is alive. Thank God Reese is alive.
Thank God Pharaoh's alive. Thank God Brianna's dead. Great. Aaron's probably pissed. Nesta has the trove and has just realized that the harp can do some crazy shit. Cassie and Nesta are apparently going to have a mating ceremony and Nesta has like this troop of valkyries. Like that's where we end.
So I think Crochet will continue to antagonize the inner circle. We never really found out definitively, right? But like we think he was trying to access the trove to free himself. We're told everything he was trying to do was with the goal of freeing himself. So I think he will be continuing to do that, whether it's through Aaron, whether it's through other means.
Like I think that's going to continue to be kind of one of the core plot lines. And given the Crochet is still physically on the continent and Reece has been sending more to the continent, I think Moore's visits to the continent might come in to play here. And that's why I think that Moore's POV might might matter. She might not know or end up having connections that they need.
And I also think that might bring more and Nesta closer together if Nesta does and if this does end up being a Nesta book and maybe also potentially aid this more in Emory romance that we think might eventually take hold. We're predicting. And if you don't know what we're talking about, go listen to I don't know what episode.
I don't know, listen to our whole season. Listen, the whole season, but like. Emory at one point basically says that like, more is stunning and she's obsessed with her. And Emory has had no male love interest that we're aware of. And we know that Moore doesn't prefer them, doesn't prefer males.
So I think crochet will continue to be the, like thread, like crochet trying to get access to the trove. And if that's the case, like that's kind of why I think, like Nesta's story probably can't be done. But I also think Elaine will play more of a role because we also think that she can wield it too.
Like she just hasn't because Nesta's been incredibly overprotective. I think that Crochet J might end up specifically invoking links to certain people or things to aid him in this miss antagonizing the inner circle. And I think he might exercise some control over potentially Vasa, potentially pulling on his curse with Vasa.
I don't know that he's going to call her back and say like, hey, your exception has run out. Because I'm no longer entirely convinced that him letting her go wasn't intentional. Like we have toiled over what Pharah's father could have possibly had as a bargaining chip to get Vasa free in the 1st place. And I'm thinking like more and more that Crochet might have just let her go knowing that there would be a purpose, something that she's there.
And so I wonder whether he's going to use his links to her in this book as like some some device to fuck with the inner circle. Like she's close to Lucian. She's close to Jury and she can be close to the Night Court if she needs to be. So is is he going to use Vasa somehow? Is he going to maybe use Elaine somehow? Like, is Elaine going to be somebody that we need to like save in this story potentially?
I don't know if Elaine needs saving. Yeah, we know who's going after. I would like it if it was. Elaine doing the saving instead of Elaine being saved. Yeah, I'll be much more. Pro that and I think we also, and I'm not giving a lot of like definitive like plotline answers here, but these are things that I expect to happen.
I think we also will probably learn more about what what Cochet actually is like. I think we'll learn about he's more than just like a death God. And I think if we encounter him, we might also learn more about Prithean's past, about how he was captured, actually a link to like King Theon. And given he was like he was around since before there were courts, he's been trapped for a really long time.
So I think we also might get a lot more Prithean lore in Actor 6 then we've gotten in previous in previous books. I certainly hope so. So I think either way, I think we've both mentioned this but kind of skirted over it. I think the majority of book sex happens on the continent. Yeah, I think we're going to the continent.
It's time. I'm ready. Give me a fucking map. Which like who's staying with? Nicks. I guess it's probably Farrah, which sucks because like, I'd be down to see Farrah fighting a little bit more, yeah, but I think it's got to be her sidelined by a childcare. Once again, no. I mean, we don't know how much time.
Yeah, I don't know. I don't have the answer. But yeah, I mean, I don't think, I still don't think as much as I would love it. I don't think we're going back to Fayrah and Reese before we get Elaine and Azrael story, whether that is the same story or different stories. It feels like if we ever go back to Fayrah and Reese, that will be like a a conclusion, a pinnacle, so to speak, which I'm here for. But yeah.
Yeah, I like your ideas. We. Are we are really overdue for Prithian lore like we have? We know some things, they're conflicting. There's a lot of like mystery about it and I think we are. We are overdue for it for sure. Yeah. Boss is going to be a bigger. Character I think we both agree on I think I think you're rescuing her or whether she's.
Unfortunately being used. He is another queen if it's a Cochet. Story. I have a hard time seeing how it is not a Vasa, Azrael, Lucian, Elaine story. Like it just feels like those are the four that are critical for that story with others sprinkled into. But we have Vasa's obvious connection to Cochet, We have Azrael shadows, we have Cochet appearing as shadows, we have Lucian who looked towards the continent when the thought of Vasa being in danger as if he could see Cochet's lake. Like that feels pretty critical.
And then Elaine has so many any visions about crochet, right? Like she like all of her. Not all of them, but a lot of her seer abilities point towards crochet. Yep, and I think we will. Get more heiress as well since he oh God I hope so I we again and silver flames with him having been abducted and just like chilling in the night court yeah the last. The last scene of Silver flames is Cassian and Nurse. Yeah.
She said and Sarah said she. Thought it would be obvious what the next book was about. It's just a Cassian and Eris buddy romp. That's what the next book is going to be. Which I would read. Yeah. Cool. All right. Anything else on that one? Nope. All right, Ronnie, Sarah has teased A Tamlin redemption arc. How do we think that will play out? Yes.
So. I think we've got a couple options here. 1 I think is likely, but I would be disappointed in two I think would be super, super interesting, but I think a lot of people be pretty mad about. All right, so Tamlin in Silver Flames is at his lowest low, right? We see him last in the Spring Court in his beast form. It seems like he has not spoken or behaved like a human in a really long time, right?
Like he he speaks it. It sounds like he hasn't spoken in ages. He's like roaming the lands. He doesn't like the. The court is hardly a court anymore. Yeah, he's just like defending his lands as if he's a guardian animal. It's really interesting. I. This thought just popped into my brain, but basically Acatar 1 was pitched as Beauty and the Beast, but this is Silver Flames is where Tamlin is truly like the beast that we see at the beginning of Beauty and the Beast, right?
Yeah, yeah. Hope Elaine's. Not the beauty, Yes, and we have. Gotten kind of like suicidal notes from him before where he's just like seems like he's ready for all of it to end. So I think there's totally a possibility where he kind of comes back in the way that he has been coming back, which is like he keeps basically giving back in response to what has happened in the past. I could see him basically giving his life for somebody else and that being kind of the way that he is redeemed. I think if anyone, it's going to be for Lucian. And I think that Lucian is going to play a pretty big role in the plot events to come.
Like Lucian has been there for him unfailingly when nobody else has, right? Like he's always been like visiting him in the Supreme Court even when nobody else would, right? Lucian knows when things are bad, he's still going back there. Like even when Tamlin is in this horrible form, like he's still going back there throughout Silver Flames, throughout Court of Frost and Starlight when everything is terrible.
So I could see him frankly just like giving up his his life for Lucian and that being kind of the extent of his redemption. However, I also think that there is the possibility that we're going to get a lot more. And the reason that I think that is because Nesta compares herself to him multiple times.
Twice actually. In Silver Flame specifically, she says Nesta blocked out the memory of Tamlin and his beast form, how she had wanted to RIP him limb from limb. She was no better than him in the end. Farrah doesn't love me. She didn't deserve. She didn't deserve Farrah's love, just as Tamlin didn't.
And then later too, she was no better than a rabbit dog. She had been a rabbit dog with Ameren and Farrah, a beast exactly like Tamlin. She hadn't even cared that she'd made it down the stairs at last. Did it count when it was driven by Fury? So honestly, I could see us getting Tamlin's story not go forward.
But like all of it, what happened with Reese's sister and feeling like we are totally turned on our heads in terms of how we think about the two of them and how things went down with Farrah. Like I could see to your point on his father, right? Like I could see us understanding his childhood, understanding how he was raised, understanding how he was treated, understanding his friendship with Reese. Like, I could see a novella legitimately, Tamlin and his life.
And then once we have the context for like how everything went down with Reese's sister's death, with his mother's death, all of that, how it happened leading up to the events of basically like Pharaoh's entry into his life. Then I could see Sarah doing something with him and a love interest, whether it's Elaine or someone else.
Yeah, I love the. Idea of him totally I I think I think we have to be be getting back story for Tamlin eventually we talked about this quote but I think in our Tamlin episode or maybe in a later episode we have all this from ACOTAR chapter 32. Tamlin and Amarantha knew each other before his family had long been tied to Hyburn during the war of the Supreme Court allied itself allied with Hyburn to keep the humans enslaved.
So his father, His father who was a fickle and vicious Lord was very close with the king of Hyburn to Amarantha. Tamlin as a child often accompanied him on trips to Hyburn and he met Amarantha is the process Tamlin had once said to me that he would fight to protect someone's freedom that he would never allow slavery had it been solely because of shame for his own legacy or because he come to somehow know what it was to be enslaved. That's not a line you just drop with no follow up, right? At some point we are getting that story and the fact that like.
Nesta paralleled herself to him. Like Nesta was the most misunderstood character for the original trilogy of the series. I'm going to call that parallel. Five books in like I think we're getting, Tamlin was a majorly misunderstood character. I really love the idea. Of, yes, Tamlin being a majorly misunderstood character, but instead of it being romantic, it being a Lucian tied to Lucian. I think that works really well that like friendship is what kind of brings him back rather than romance. We've already had Tamlin as a as a love interest, right? We've already gotten the romantic Tamlin. He can't.
There needs to be growing of his character before I'm willing to forgive him and allow him to be a love interest for anyone again, for me personally. But if he repairs that relationship with Lucian, if he like, shows growth that way, you know, if instead of it being romantic focus, it's friendship focus. I think that's a really nice character arc and that kind of brings it all home for me personally. Yeah, yeah.
I like I think those. I think the Tamlin, the Tamlin love story is going to be with Lucian. Like that's not actually a love story, but like, yeah, I think Tamlin and Lucian is the story. I think there could also be something really complex in the back story between Tamlin and Reece like we've talked about, because again, like the cross court friendships that they're said to not run deep without some sort of complexity. They're like, you need to get permission to be in other courts.
And it's not like High Lord's sons are just like being best buddies. Typically, Yeah. So I definitely. And that. Is. A is a much more interesting. Story from my point of view, because we haven't really gotten, we have it with Azrael and Reese and Cassian, right? But we haven't gotten that formation of that, right, the relationship building of that. Like Azrael, Reese and Cassian came fully formed. Their friendship lasted centuries. They are brothers, right?
But I don't think Sarah has really sunk her teeth into in this series, male friendships and how and how that works and how to form them and how to repair them. And I think that would be really interesting. Yeah, yeah, I think it would be good. Yes, Yeah, I'm. I'm here for it. I like that. Yeah, I actually have in my notes, I could see Tamlin and Reese reforging their friendship and then Tamlin revealing things about his childhood that Reese doesn't know. And then if Tamlin, if Tamlin does ally with Reese and then like fight with him against Baron, that could that could go towards the making things up with Lucian. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I. Think if anything in the like plot lines that we have talked about is going to pull Tamlin into a redemption arc. I think it's going to be the Baron conflict. I agree. And or. Any publicizing of Lucian's real parentage that requires Tamlin to come to his aid. Aid somehow. But I don't. Know I would want and this is this is more just like what I would want than what I actually expect to happen.
I would want like a novella style or at least like a Xbox dump of actual back story before I would want like just a resolution of who he is. Like of, you know, everything's better with Tamlin now, it would be very hard. For her to pull this off without making him POV character, without being in his head, without understanding the emotions that he's going through, right.
It would be really, really hard to see this redemption arc through Nesta's eyes, through Reese's eyes, through Lucian's eyes. Like, I think I really like the idea of a novella. I think that would be a really cool idea. I hope that's not what book 6 is going to be. That would piss me off if there were book 6. We've been waiting six years for. A fucking tablin novella.
That would be tough. Yeah. Yeah. All right. All right. I don't have anything else. No. All right. What do we want to happen? Guilty. Guilty pleasure style. I put a clean thing. And I put a dirty thing. OK, I have. All right, dirty things. My clean thing. I would really like if we don't get Cassie and Ernesta as POV characters, I would like some scenes of domestic bliss between them that we get like we get with recent favorite.
Like I just want to see them happy at home, at peace with each other. Like they just both deserve a little like love and downtime. And I would just like to see that the way the way we've seen it. I think we already got it a little bit in the Azrael bonus chapter where he was like Cassie and Anessa are so happy, but I want to see more of that. That's what I I think they both deserve that piece. Dirty wise.
We've been teased about a threesome twice. We have a love triangle. I want my fucking threesome, Sarah. I want it. That's what I want. I don't know how it would happen. I don't know how it would happen, but that's what I think. Azrael, Lucian. Whoever she wants. But that's who I. Would set this up for yes? Do you think Lucian?
Could handle that? I don't know. You think Azrael could handle that? I do think Azrael could handle. It and I do think Elaine could handle it. I definitely think Elaine could handle it. Yeah, Lucian's the wild. Card Lucian's the wild. I don't know. Yeah. Would Lucian be like, OK, yeah, I'm fine with this. I don't know.
Yeah, maybe if Elaine was like, this is the only way, I'll sleep with you. But that seems very manipulative on her part. That would be a side of Elaine. That I would be down to see. Frankly, I think she has it. She definitely, I think she has it. Yeah, I'm here for it. I'm here for the Elaine empowerment era. Like, yeah, that's what I hope we get out of this book, genuinely.
Yeah, we've gotten look, we got teased with Reese and Ferrer. We got teased with Cassie and Anesta. Like just we got teased with Reese and Ferrer incessantly. We to this day could get teased with Reese and Ferrer. I'm like, pull Azrael. In, tap him. In he would do it. Why aren't we doing? Why aren't we doing this? And maybe that's what happens, I don't know. Tap him in.
He would, yeah. Anyway, that's mine. That's yours. Azrael. Spicy scene. Obviously you said this before. I'm playing it again. Like, I don't care. I don't care who him that's one also, I don't know who this would be with, but heiress I also wanted Harris spicy scene. I don't know. I don't know who would be with.
I don't know how we would get that. Not sure how it would come about but I want I would like. An LGBTQ sex scene as well. Like I don't think we've ever gotten 1. I think it's time. Like I don't think we have. Yeah, yeah, more in Emory. Get cracking, start spending more time together. Eris. I I mean I know Eris isn't gay.
Canonically, but like in my head he's gay. I feel like he would. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I don't know even if he's not. Only interested in males. I feel like he definitely like, yeah, would totally play both. Sides. Yeah, and he. Very well could could be only. Interested in males. I just have no, yeah, I have no idea.
I have no idea. I also like, this is probably obvious, but like, I just want. I want the answer. I want the answer about Azrael, Elaine, Lucian, and Gwen. I want the answer. I want the answer. I don't care who it is. I just want a good story and I want the answer and I want everyone to be happy.
That's what I want. Those are my criteria. That doesn't piss anyone off, no. So someone's going to. Everyone's I don't care but I will not be OK probably unless she does something terrible. But I reread the Azrael and Elaine bonus chapter before this episode just to like just to level set with where I felt about things. And like the Azrael and Elaine part I was like they're fucking mates.
They're absolutely mates. And then I read the Azrael and Gwen part and I was like what the fuck? What's? Going on so I just. Need Sarah. I need an answer. That's it for me. The Azrael and Elaine part. I reread it too. Crackling. So good. Yeah, So fucking good. I loved it. Yeah. And honestly, I read that was probably the fourth time I've reread that bonus chapter. And I was like, actually, Reese is the asshole here, not Azrael. Like, I like Azrael was just kind of like trying to listen to Reese's wishes.
Like I I saw it more from Azrael's POV than I ever had before. Reese is definitely an asshole there. Like I still hate that Azrael said the thing about the brothers and the sisters. I was like fuck you for that Azrael I get. That, but I also think that was Sarah being like, what? You really think this is what's going to happen?
Like, I feel like that was Sarah saying it to the readers rather than Azrael saying it to Reese. But yes, I I do not like that. I also thought it was slightly Reese misinterpreting what Azrael was saying. But yeah, I'm. I'm with you. That wasn't great. But yeah, yeah, two things. Like the fact that he said that and then the fact that he just like, gave a necklace that was going regifted the necklace. Yeah.
To Quinn, like I yeah, has some growing up to do, but fine doesn't mean I don't want to read about. Him having sex? Absolutely not. Absolutely. It's not. So I need the answer on that. That's one. And then two, I do want to see some of the peacemaking that we saw at the end of 1/4 of silver flames between Reese and Nesta like come more into fruition. I would love to see them just, like, settle into that a little bit more just because it makes me really sad to think that, like, Nesta and are still kind of repairing their relationship. And Farrah's husband and Nesta have this relationship that's so, like, wrought with strife.
Like, I just want them to, like, get along a little bit better. And it seems like obviously he's willing to turn over that page. And she is too, at the end of Silver Flames after she saved their lives. But I know that like, just based on their personality types, they will continue to butt heads. And so I'd love to see them. I'd love to just see a little bit more dialogue that that shows us.
Yeah, they're getting along better now. You know, her husband, her future husband's brother. So I just need everyone to gel a little bit better, please. Yeah, I would also. Like, and I do think this will happen, but I'd like for everyone to start treating Nesta as an equal rather than they were kind of treating her like a child, not undeservedly, but they were kind of treating her like a child in silver flames. And I think she's more than deserves their respect. And I and I do think we will, but I think I'm looking forward to seeing that.
Yeah, I agree. I hope. That people do the same for Elaine as well. I kind of think that Pharaoh's, the fact that Pharaoh had to care for them when they were children has perpetuated in their time in the Night Court. And now they're all, like, equally capable adults. And I feel like that has stunted Elaine, and it's pissed off Nesta.
Yeah, I mean neither. One of us really said this, but maybe we did. I would really like to see Elaine grow into her power. Yeah. Yeah. Enough, enough of this. Oh, Elaine can't do it, you know, and like, no bullshit. Enough of that. I'm over that. And I think that will happen. But yeah. Cool. Cool.
OK. All right, any other guilty pleasure wishes just this one, did you? So I don't know whether this is another thing that social media has completely fabricated, akin to a quote that we will not name, but apparently there was a deleted scene. I've heard this Eiffel Tower scene. Have you heard? I want it.
I want it. Give it to me, I want it. I'm mad if that was taken. Out Why? What are you? What are you thinking here, Sarah? Yeah, yeah. I have no idea if it's real. I have no idea if it's real. Yeah, I have no idea if it's real. Either I'm more just making the point like maybe that's for the for the El real fans, a glimmer of hope that maybe we just don't want to see out there of someone fucking someone's sister that they eventually end up with. Well, right.
Oh. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, right. No, that's the problem. Sorry. Allow me to give the context. Hypothetically speaking on social media, there has been talk, but there was originally a threesome Eiffel Tower scene of Nesta, Cassian and Azrael that Sarah James chose to remove. I have no idea whether this is real. I have no idea.
Absolutely no fucking clue. OK, so do not hold me to this, but if it was removed, it'll be interesting to think about why it might have been removed. Because you don't want Elaine. You don't want Azrael fucking Elaine's sister, correct? Correct. Right. Yeah, I agree. I want two brothers fucking the same woman. I don't.
Know like there's a lot of. There's there's a lot of reasons for that to not be the. Case there's a line that they all used to have. Sex in the same room, That's true. That's Canon all. Right. Anyway, can't wait for this book. So excited for this book. It's funny I've been reading I I just heard a different series.
I don't want to go into it too bad too much, but the sex scenes are nowhere near as good and it made me appreciate what a well written sex scene actually. Actually, it actually is such a skill. You have to do it the right way. Sarah. Like Sarah? Rebecca Yeah, yeah, I'm reading on Yeah, a series where the author definitely echoes Sarah's scenes specifically.
And I'm like, like Sarah is the blueprint for Yeah. Yeah, face X, basically. Yeah, all right. Cool. Anything else? All right well that wraps our AC guitar only section. So if you have not read all of Crescent City and all of throne of glass, this is where we suggest that you leave us if you don't want to be spoiled if you are OK being spoiled, then you are welcome to stay. You are a human being with free will. But if you are leaving us, just know we are on social media, TikTok, Instagram and YouTube as Dragons in the details pod. We have a website dragonsinthedetails.com and we have a discord server.
It's called Dragons in the details. It is a wild time, it's very fun and it would mean a lot if you could like this video, this podcast episode, wherever you're listening to it and subscribe to us on whatever channel you listen on would mean the world to us because we're trying to do more of this. All right, we are going to start talking about mass versus spoilers in 321.
All right, Abby, mass versus cosms. Do you have any Cosm per SE, but something did. Just pop into my mind. I saw a comment on I think our YouTube from a listener. Hello YouTube listeners that they hate Bryce and so they will not be joining us for our Crescent City season. Babes, I hear you, but. We're not, we're not like it's a podcast.
Like you don't need to read the book if you've already read the book. You don't need to reread the book. We're just going to be talking about theories. It's not like, like, you know what I'm saying? Like you don't need to read about Bryce. If anything, it's even better because we're not making you read the books.
Like you can just listen and get the theories without having to go through Bryce. The things about Bryce that you don't want. I feel like I'm not saying this well, but you know what I mean? I think they were saying. They DNF Crescent City because they didn't like Bryce. But yeah I mean I get why people don't like Bryce.
I won't lie, she's not personally my favorite female main character either, but like, I don't see that as a reason not to not to read. And we're going to be talking about the theories. And the lore and how it ties into the mass first. Like that's what we do. I hear you like this is not my favorite either but wanted to punch Violet Sorengil. In the face from time to time, absolutely. I have.
No, I generally like Violet, but yeah. Yeah, my response to that is 1. I think Bryce gets better with time. And two, I don't think that you know, an agitating female main character is in these series in these books. In my opinion, a reason not to read the series personally. But even if you don't want to read the. Series.
We're not reading this like we are. We are the theories. We are the Lord, OK? All right. Do you have any cosms? I do, I've got a couple. The first one is a comment on our one of our episodes actually. So this commenter was BNA Blue and basically commented that the this was the comment. The horn is part of the trove.
Wouldn't that mean dissension and can hide like the trove did? If so, is it manipulating Bryce? It already brought her to Prythian when she clearly wanted to go to hell. Why did it bring her straight to Reese? It stayed until Bryce was in danger. Is it like a symbiotic bond with her? It could desire to return to Prythian.
The horn might dislike Bryce. It was destroyed and then forcefully placed on Bryce where it was forgotten and is now used whenever Bryce wants. I think this is such an interesting point. We have talked about the trove being sentient and we haven't really talked much about like the sentience of the horn and how it now interacts with Bryce.
And we also, this is not our Crescent City season so like we will talk about it. But if what? Like, yeah, what if Bryce went to at the end because the horn wanted to return to Prithian and it didn't really have much to do with the sword or truth teller or Azrael or any of those things? I think this is actually likely, and I think it's such a good call.
Like I am interested in we'll talk more about this next season, like how the horn feels about effectively having its life bound to Bryce and like what how it might be manipulating its own use given that. Yeah, I think it's such a great point. And also, I mean, is it like the ring? Like is it slowly corrupting Bryce and is that why she becomes? Kind of terrible, let's be honest. Like, is that is that why she's so fucking annoying? Yeah, I don't know.
But I do like Bryce. But but to people's valid complaints about her character like. She's kind of corrupting her, yeah. She's literally got just in a stare. Like think about how Nesta is when she wears the mask right? Like Bryce just has that in her back all the time. That's kind of wild. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
That is a great point. I think we should definitely talk about it more in Crescent City 100%. OK, and then I have one more and that's going to be topical on one of our Tik Toks, a commenter named Sarita EDA books. That's the handle commented. I need someone to talk about the dance when Reese says to Eris anything I want be at the autumn court armies be at your first born.
Would you give it to me in exchange for Nesta as your wife? All things Reese and dies of a first born. So basically this comment is saying that Eris says he will give anything except for his first born in exchange for Nestas hand in marriage right? And and basically asking like does anyone find this comment super strange and tagged us in the comments on one of our posts?
I think this is such an interesting point. Yes absolutely 100% I think this conversation is strange. I have plans to talk about it a little bit more in this section, but I think this is absolutely evidence, and we have talked about this before, that Eris either definitively knows or sense sent ACENTS something about the Archeron bloodline that is valuable enough that he is 1.
Willing to give up anything to Nesta 2 except for a bloodline that he creates with her. And I think, I hope that we will. We readers who have read everything will learn more about what Eris knows, but probably only hints in Mack Guitar 6. I cannot. Remember the exact quotes of the? I know in general what conversation you're talking about, but I can't. Remember the exact quotes, but I love any theory that involves Eris knowing way more than what he's claimed. So the quote is re said anything I want, whether it be armies from the Autumn Court or your first born. You would grant me an exchange for Nesta Archeron as your wife? Cassian girl?
Low in his throat, his brother was letting this carry on too far. Eris glared. Not as far as the first born, but yes, Reese. And you want armies against Brielle and my father, You'll have them. His lips curved upward. I couldn't very well let my wife's sister go into battle unaided, could I? So he's like, yeah, I will do literally whatever you want. If I could marry.
Nesta, but you cannot have the child that I create with her. I think that's really interesting. I think the idea of these armies are very interesting. What armies does Eris command? Currently doesn't have any. He doesn't have any armies. Well he does technically command barons armies but OK. Well then forget.
That and I can't let my wifes sister go into battle. Could be about Elaine too. Yeah, yeah. I think that's really interesting. I mean, I think he knows that NASA has steri power, right? Like, I think that's what I think. I think that's how I'm interpreting that. But it could be a witch thing too.
Yeah. I mean, whether he, again, like Thanatos, is able to smell Bryce's, Bryce's starborne power on. Yeah, right. So it could be as simple as that. It could be something related to her bloodline, I don't know. But absolutely, I think, Oh my God. Conversation. My God, all of the Archron babies are going to be made. We're remaking a stairs, correct? We're making starboard fae.
Yeah, well, it's not a breeding like it's not being controlled by, but Nesta through the cauldron, Elaine through the Cauldron, and Faera through Reese, and they all seem to be. Mating with, well, TBD, but they all seem to be mating with people with hell about them. Yeah, the light and the shadows.
Interesting. Interesting. Interesting, interesting, interesting. Thank. You thank you for the EDA books. That was good. That was fun. Gears turning. That was a fun one. All right, I will ask. Myself so I will will we get any mass verse character crossover? If so, who? So my opinion is I don't think that this book will give us like the Azrael POV of Bryce showing up in Prythean for example.
I actually think that this book will run between the end of silver flames and that time. And during this time, I think they will learn more about Prythean's pass through crochet. Like if they encounter crochet, they'll maybe learn about how he was locked up. Maybe learn about the courts prior to like how the reports were formed, the fact that he was locked up before they were created.
Maybe realizing that multiple worlds are in fact a thing. Because Nesta has this harp that now answers to her. She says in the House of Flame and Shadow bonus chapter that the Trove answers to her. And that makes Bryce's arrival a little bit less surprising. That being said, so we so we just ended Silver Flames learning that the 26th string is time. Nesta clearly deepens her connection with the Trove based on House of Flame and Shadows after where she and Reese like go after each other and she says the trove answers to me. I had the right to give Bryce the mask and he's like fuck you, you just put our entire world in danger. So she's clearly like deepened her relationship with the strove.
I wonder whether Nesta might, if this is a Nesta book, which is a big if, I know, like we're expecting to get Elaine's story. But if this is a Nesta book, whether she might travel time or worlds or both specifically maybe time. If she did just travel time, like could she have met somebody else on Perthian? Like could she have met?
Celine or Helena? Or yeah, or a fion somebody else from that time we would or would not know of she. I went back and read the portions of House of Layman Shadow where Celine shows up and Nest is pretty stoic. Like she doesn't, she doesn't say anything really like express surprise, but she also wouldn't like even if she didn't know who they were, she would not express any surprise.
So maybe somebody from Prythian. If we're dealing with anyone off world that we recognize, my bet is that we would be dealing with a Prince of Hell. That's my bet. Yeah. I'm fanatosis in the Kansas. City fanatosis in the Kansas City. There's hell markings all over Prythian. I don't think we're being set up for Irelia crossover at this stage between Irelia and Prythian.
I think we'd likely get that through Midgard probably. So my guess is if we're going to have mass verse character crossover, it's either going to be traveling through time using the harp and meeting characters of Prythians past that come up in other books like they is family basically or Prince of Hell. Yeah, I mean, we do not.
Have on Prytheon right now a way to get off of Prytheon so right because the horn is the horn is actually the only way to cross between worlds. So I don't think if we know if the harp at this point opens doors between worlds, although maybe Meryl says it can. Celine does use. The harp and gets there, the horn just like does something else takes her down. OK, so we don't know.
We don't know. I would say we don't know. It's not definitive about the heart. Yeah, so, but we do have word marks that exist, we just don't really know. Whether they know how to use that. So we have two options here. There's two books, at least two books. This could be right. It could be Elaine and Asriel crochet Lucian Fasa going off having a nice fun time, or we have Nesta, we have the Star Sword, we have Cassian, we have the Esteri, we have Unfucking the Cauldron, we have Ramiel, we have Fanatos, we have all that. I think this isn't either or.
I don't really think these two stories are the same because they both feel really big. And if this story is not the continuation of Nesta's story, I don't know what story is right because it's not going to be a Crescent City. Are we really going to wait till ACOTAR 7 to pick up on Bryce giving Nesta the star sword? I don't know I I just don't know. She she left, she ended hofast with such a strong statement giving Nessa the sword, how could it not play into Akutar 6? You know like how could it not be part of it? But she's also not saying that you have to request the city to read Guitar 6 unless.
She does on. Call her daddy. I don't know, like she has said that, yeah, unless she does that would be. Crazy if this episode comes out and then we find out that just in time for our Crescent. Cities required reading, No. Yeah. So I I don't know which story this is going to be. I really don't. I don't think it's obvious.
I know, she said. Isn't it obvious? But I don't think it's obvious what we're getting, which makes me really excited. But yeah, I think it is exciting. I would find it surprising again, unless she does come out and say you know, you have to read rest in city. I would find it surprising if she picks up the Bryce handing nest of the star sword as a guitar 6 because she has so far made these series pretty pretty optional as to whether you read them as crossover or not.
But she's like so. But then it's so obvious now that I'm like, how do you right? That was pre ho fest. We're in a post ho fest world right? So like if she doesn't tell that story in a guitar 6, when is she telling it? Because it's not a Crescent City story, right? I don't think it's a Prithian story. So so I don't know.
So what if Okay, we're going I'm. Going off the cuff, I'm going rogue. I have none of this. Let's go. But what if we find out? What if Actor 6 is the the Cochet defeat story and we figure out somehow through defeating Cochet that the Daglin are still a problem. And we are like now faced with OK, we are aware on Prythian that the Daglin are still a problem.
And then then we are set up for like we need a solution and then Bryce drops into the world as a solution and then Akatar 7 is acting on that solution. Like what if Akatar 6 ends with With I think I think. She could do that, but the annoying part is that for the Crescent City readers, then Acatar 6 ends basically where how fast ended right and we're we basically have not moved the story forward.
For your most loyal and dedicated fans? In my opinion yes, but I also think the most loyal. And dedicated fans are going to be looking for puzzle pieces to put together. And I still think she can give us a lot with just like continued world building and like dock connections. And if we get, and I think we will get like Thanatos telling us stuff here, Thanatos maybe a Napoleon appearance, finding out that I just had the thought of this. Book ending somehow with Hello Nesta Archer on My name is Alan Galifi.
I mean, that would be wild, but that. Wouldn't happen. So I have we got, we got. A link. Tree message, which I didn't know you could do. I wouldn't encourage it guys just but we got a link dream message. I only say I wouldn't encourage it because we don't check it that frequently. That basically called out the potential connection, asked about a potential connection between the creature that lives under the mountain that's bound to a lake in Air of Fire that Alan gets Goldrin from versus Cochet. And while I don't think that that direct link, I think the direct link could be interesting because like, what if it's the same person who bound them?
I think what is really interesting is the fact that in the passage in Air of Fire where that comes up, it's said that there are underground cave waterways, basically. And so I've had this like curiosity in back my mind that like, what if, what if we don't know the name of the world that Prytheans on and we don't know the name of the continent that Prythean is across from? What if Irelia is the continent?
Yeah, I mean. Yeah, it could be. I I don't have any reason for it not to be, except for that in Crescent City, they say another portal opened to a different from a different, maybe they say from a different world, but maybe it's just from a different time. I mean, Reese does say that the Fey used to be more primal, so to speak, right? The beasts we once.
Were in which case of Nesta's only traveling time using this harp and like places within the world like could she need Alan? I don't know maybe. All right. We're getting way too much into I. I haven't done, I have not done this homework. I like this idea. Back to my original point, we are owed a story about Nesta and the Star Sword, and we are owed a story about Reese finding out everything that Azrael and Nesta found out. And we are owed a story about what's under Romiel. And we are owed a story about, I'm saying owed. She owes us nothing.
This is what I think is open at this point. You're set up for it. We are set. Up for a story? About Theasteri and Prithea, that has kind of been the whole thesis of this season, and I don't know when she tells that story. I don't know if she tells it in Actor 6. I don't know if she tells it in Actor 7.
I don't know if she tells it in Crescent City 4. I don't know if she tells it in hypothetical Twilight of the Gods. I don't know when we get it. But back to the actual question here, I agree. If we're getting a mass verse character crossover, Thanatos seems like the obvious answer here. He's already gotten name drops. Princess of Hell have their fingerprints all over the place. We've already gotten kind of the Esteri POV of Prithean's history.
We think that Hell was involved in it. There's a lot of clues that Hell was actually involved in it. And I think we are owed that. I'm saying owed again. I think we are getting set up for that story. The other thing I had is I wonder if I wonder what happens if you put a lane in any of these thin places, the way that Bryce and Hunt were able to mind speak with Hell in the thin place under the caves, under a ball.
And if you put a lane with her seer abilities in one of these thin places, would she be able to kind of communicate mind to mind? I don't know. That's kind of a shot in the dark. Yeah, that's kind of those are kind of my thoughts. But I definitely think it's time for a Prince of hell heavy story. I think it's AI think it's a Prince. Of Hell crossover, I think, yeah. And I think if we do get more Eris time, we are due to learn about what this alliance between Heiress and Kir really is. And Kir we'll talk more about in places. But Kir, Kir and his Dark Bringers and the Human city in general have got a lot of hell going for them. And he's got a Lord named Thanatos, who is also a principal.
Yeah, I mean when Bryce sees. The caves drawing she sees the depiction of the human city and she says that's hell right? Like that is like exactly what happened so and she also says. That the caves under the human city are identical to the caves under a ball in which we know have been used as a telephone line to hell directly. So we are due.
We are due some conversations with hell. We are due. I agree. Yeah, totally agree. All right. Anything else on that one? OK, will we get more Mass First secrets revealed? If so, which? OK, I'm basically just going to read. That list I just read you. I don't really have any additional things to say. I think we find out what happened with the cauldron on top of Romeo, especially who the two cloaked figures were and the creation of the Star sword.
I think Reese finds out about his connection to Vesperus. I think Reese finds out about Vesperus in general and about the Asterian General. There's no reason for Reese to not know that story during a Guitar 6. This is what I mean. This is what I mean. If a Qatar 6 takes place after Ho Fast, you can't just ignore everything that happened in Ho Fast.
So much happened, Reese has to find out about it. Yeah. I guess the question is, does it take? Place after ho fast or before ho fast. Yeah, like because. There's only. 7 There's only seven months, right, But I don't think it's. Exactly specified, but it's I've seen ten months, I've seen 7. I feel like we can get this unless. It's in a fucking bonus chapter.
OK, yeah, here we go. So Nesta, when she's saying she slayed Lanthus, I have to assume she said I slew one of their contemporaries about seven months ago, which was too Bryce in the caves. I can't remember when. When? Lanthus was in relation to the ending, but yeah, so six or seven months after Nick has been born, right. So unless the book.
And like we have had books to be clear in ACOTAR that have taken place over a few months. So it would not be that crazy if it took place before ho fast. But yeah, like that's the the big question in the room is, is this book going to happen before or after Bryce's and Bryan, right? Because if it happens after you. Can't just ignore it.
Yeah, you can't. And you can't just write it off like, oh, when we got that weird visitor who looked like she was from the Autumn Court, like that's not going to work. Too much happened. So I think Reese will find out what happened with Vesperus. I think we find out why phanatosis on Prithean. And I think we're going to find out more about Amarin's connection to the Osteria.
I think that will very much play a role in this book, if this book is depending on which book we're getting. Yeah, Yeah. What about you? I agree with all of those. I think, given I still think that our big bad is going to be Cochet, I think we will learn the story of his capture and I basically ain't your favorite warrior. Yeah, I think we're going to get answers to. Master's questions that have originated from ACOTAR so I think we're going to learn more about the long ago Faye warrior. We might not get like an explicit in your face like this is who it was, but I think we're going to get answers enough that like mass first readers can deduce who it is. But for an.
ACOTAR only reader. Would just be like a fun detail. I also think that because of that, we might learn more about either the Archerons lineage or braces lineage depending on like who it actually is and what we learned. Since those are really the only two pure human bloodlines that result in massive unexplained power that we deal with here.
I think we will potentially learn about that exclusively through crochets capture or we might just learn more like way more about Eris and what he's been up to. Like with this Prince of hell connection. We might, I think, might learn more about how Eris knows all of the things that he knows again, through hints.
Like I don't think, at least I don't I don't see Sarah throwing like and maybe she did. Maybe she will. She said hello, my name is Reese. And so maybe she will do this, But I don't know that we're going to get like hell thrown into our faces like HEL. But I could totally see us getting like Eris has been conversing with other worlds or like, knows how to open, you know, portals or like, you know, spry or something, something about him that gives us more information as to how he knows the things that he knows too. Yeah, I agree.
And. I agree on the on the Ameren. Point I think that's how we also start to piece together Perthian past like Crochet. That's how we've done everything, right? Like we'll learn a piece of information from these deaf gods and Reece will be like Ameren, what does this mean? So I think she will be put put more on the spot and I think we will learn more about about her past and how she was involved with the Asteri potentially.
Like wouldn't it be wild if Crochet just fucking outs her? That would be crazy. I would love that that especially to Azriel because. Azriel never trusted her and. Crochet I think is one of the. Only beings remaining that could that would have known what she is. Yeah, I agree. Yep. Can't wait, Can't wait. Good stuff, all right.
Guys, I thought it would. Be fun. If we did a end of season and a season review, here we are at the end of all things. What do we feel? What? Which of our theories do we feel good about? Which of our theories do we feel less good about? Etcetera. And as always, reserve the right to change our minds about any of this. But at this point today, what do we feel good about that we have sent?
Yeah. So I, as a disclaimer, did not go through every single theory that we have, the ones that I tend. To anchor on, to build other theories which are like, obviously the ones that I feel best about. Say it as a child of Vesperus and like *1 power beyond a stereo power. I think we're agreed on that one.
Yeah, like 90% plus I'd put it at 99. The more I read, the more I'm like, yeah, yeah, great. To Celine and Helena somehow having hell in their bloodline or genetic material woven into their being because they have shadows. So like, yeah, you can call that the. Theory or you? Can call the theory having shadows indicates some hell power about you. I would give that 85 plus percent. Yeah for me.
Cool. This wasn't a major theory but like I just can't see any other way at this point. Alan ripped open that portal to hell. I'm giving that 90%. Phanitos imbued his genetic. Material into Eris and all of the bloodhounds, I'm giving that 90%. OK, I like that. That wasn't on my list, but I like it.
I'm giving a 90%. There is a core of First Light power under Ramiel 100. Percent 90 plus percent 90 plus percent. I didn't go over 90% because the High Lords magic is derived from a staring magic. I surprised myself. Here. I put this at 85%. Plus like Tamlin has a tithe. Yeah, I drank from the lands. Magic and the.
Lands magic drink from me like I only hesitation with that. One is we haven't seen in a steri who's like I am spring, you know like we just haven't I totally with the solar course yes yeah the seasonal ones I I'm not as positive on, but yeah yeah. Lucian is Gwen's. Relative of some sort, yeah, 85% plus and then the Cauldron having the ability to serve as a portal in some way.
I'm not going to call it a word gate definitively, but a portal in some way. Yeah, like. Amron came out of it. After dying, she was over there. I bet she was here. As Ron would say. You were over there and now you're over there. So I'm giving that 80. 585 plus yeah, that was my. What's your list? I had everything.
So I'll just go through real quick why I'm the reason I'm so confident on you said Thea is Vas versus daughter. That's that is the origin of the theory. But the downstream effect of that is that Reese and Bryce are both descended from Vesperous. And the reason I feel so confident on that is like the genetic clues basically, right?
Like the Raven hair, the eyes, the skin, it's all brought up so much, especially with Nyx too, now that we've gotten to Nyx. Like there's just so many genetic similarities between Reese and Vesperous that it seems it would be wild to me if Reese is not descended from Vesperus. I know we have these with me too.
I haven't figured that out yet, guys. I'm not saying that's not part of this. I'm just saying this. I have figured out this, this. We have a clear genetic line from Vesperus to Reese, and therefore also from Vespers to Bryce. So I'm like 99% on that one. You didn't mention this one. It's OK that you didn't mention it.
Maybe you don't agree with me. I am confident that Nesta has Deanna's powers from the cauldron. I am not confident on how those powers ended up in the cauldron, but I am confident that Nesta's silver flames are Deanna's silver flames. I. Will modify. Slightly. I am confident that Nesta and Deanna have the same power.
Yeah. That's fine too. That's fine too. Yeah, how that all? Works out I've gone. Back and forth on it. I don't know. I still like the idea of the Throne of Glass Gods being Asteri, but it might not work. It definitely might not work. Yeah, again, that's. One that for me I fell below 85% so it does not work the only other. Thing I have Gwen and Lucian.
I have Helena and Celine. I said I feel pretty good. We mentioned Azrael about what? We mentioned the shadows having a connection to hell. We don't talk about this one as much anymore, but I still feel pretty good about Cassian also having a connection to Hell even though he doesn't have any shadow powers because of the strong similarities we have between Hunt and Cassian. And the more we talk about Cassian, the more we are getting on to these theories that he was made for NASA. Basically if the mother is his mother, etcetera, like. I I am more and more.
I wouldn't put myself 100% confident, but I am more and more of the idea that Cassian is also not in the same way as Asriel, but maybe more in the same way as Hunt, a creature of hell especially. With the demons. The demon hunting down too, right, like that's that's textbook hunt totally. And I think that.
This not to get all math proof about it, but I think like shadows are in my opinion a pretty good link to hell, but that does not mean that you can't have a link to hell if you don't have shadows like we have yeah, definitive example of a son of hell in hunt who has no shadows like but appalling's power of lightning. We also have the Thunderbirds who were also created by hell who have no shadows.
So I think there's definitely room for Cassian to still have like material hell influence and other people to have hell influence even if they do not have shadows. I just. Think that shadows. Is like a smoking gun if you will. Like totally agree you're you're hell. Looking at you. Yeah. So that I feel. Good about.
I didn't put this in the theories. I feel less good about Tamela being a Damati. I'm no longer as confident on that one, but I think it'd be fun if he were. It'd be fun. Yeah, that. Was a way back. When theory, I would say I'm less confident on Elaine becoming a cereal too, but I think that would be fun.
I think it'd be fun. I can be. Reply Yeah, I didn't make a list of theories that I'm less confident of because there are just so many if. They're not on this list. Assume we're not. Assume that I'm less than 80%. Yeah, there's too much fun stuff out there that we've talked about that would be just just fun. I mean, 100% worms carved all those caves, didn't put that on here, but feel pretty good about it. I feel pretty good about that, yeah. I would say the major theory we had that we haven't talked about is the idea of Celine lying somehow. And I, I would say I'm at like 75% Celine was lying about something.
Yeah. I'm definitely, I think 75% is a good. It's a good remember, I I feel pretty good about that whole thing, having something off about it, because in Throne of Glass we had Elena and Gavin and people talking to us and we had engagement and Celine just left everything. So we didn't have like, no, but I'm sorry we didn't have the opportunity to question.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. So I'm like, is this even real? Like is this what do you mean you had the light? And the shadows, Celine back up. Tell me more about that. Yeah, yeah, right. One that we. Didn't say that I didn't put on this list because I'm honestly probably at like 80% and I keep getting fucked up with the with the creatures right now. But the Vogue and Hell and having the same home world, I didn't put that on here because.
It technically has nothing to do with Perthian, so yeah, I am willing to revisit that theory and go back. I would also put it at 80% without a doubt. Without a doubt. Sarah wrote the line. We call them demons. You might have another name for them, right? Without a doubt, she wrote that line, which means to me that the demons and she's talking about the demons from how have another name that we know.
She also wrote that line about error on and there hasn't been any payoff yet. Right. So I don't know where this is going, but I trust her. Cool. Should we do Precock? All right. Precog corner, This is the corner for our wildest theories. That might be nothing, but also might be something. Abby, what is your precog corner theory this week? OK.
I want to follow up on our conversation that we had at the end of our Elyrians episode that got us both so jazzed. And that's where you landed with this. 1. Why can we both immediately read after the end of that episode? All right, so. For context, if you haven't listened to our Illyrians deep dive, which hasn't hasn't come out yet but I think might be our favorite episode of the season.
I loved that episode. Recommend it to a friend. When Bryce is in the caves beneath Prythian, she sees a carving on the wall and she says scenes of a blessed land, a thriving civilization. One relief had been so similar to the freeze of the fame male forging the sword at the Crescent City Ballet that Bryce had nearly gasped.
That is ho fast. Chapter 13. So I went back and I was like, OK, what is this freeze as this Crescent City Ballet? We read some of this last episode. We're going to read all of it here. Amber turned outraged dark eyes on Bryce's stepfather, her only father, as far as Bryce was concerned, but Randall pointed casually to a broad freeze behind them. That one reminds me of Athalar.
Bryce arched A brow, grateful for the change of subject, and twisted towards where he pointed it. Sorry. Twisted toward where he pointed on it. A powerful female stood poised above an anvil hammer race skyward in one fist, lightning cracking from the skies, filling the hammer and flowing down toward the object of the hammer's intended blow.
A sword. It's labeled read simply unknown Sculptor Palmyra, circa 125 VE. Bryce checked the silver of writing in the lower right hand corner. It just says the making of the sword. Her mother peered at the right corner. Her mother peered at half faded etching in what language by? Bryce tried to keep her posture relaxed.
The old language of the fae. So that is guy in breath, Chapter one. We have this in Prithean. We have it on Midgard. It is. Written in the old language of the fact, I think this has to be the making of the Star Sword. There's another option, it could be Narbon, but let's assume, given everything we've been told so far, that this is the actual forging of the Star Sword, which I think is really interesting. I also think it's interesting that this is called the making of the sword, not the forging of the sword when made has such a steri connotations here.
We know that the Star Sword was dipped in the cauldron. This is not depicting that. This seems to be depicting its actual creation, right? We saw Fionn dip it in the cauldron, but this seems to be its actual hammering creation, etcetera, right? So we postulated last week that this might be Fionn. I'm not sure that this is Fionn because Bryce got a good look at the carving in the ballet and she saw Fionn in Celine's video and she did not say the carving on the ballet was Fionn. So I'm not sure that this was Fionn. This is a female, right?
He doesn't have wings. I don't think it's Analius. I don't think it's a delirium. We know it's a female. That being said, we obviously have heavy lightning imagery here, right? And we know Hunt, as we just mentioned Hunt has lightning because of of Polygon, right? So the quote we have for that is just as he gave over some of his essence for the Cristalos. Thanatos says.
So he gave something to me for you, his Hellfire. Hellfire. Bryce demanded. The lightning. Thanatos said, waving an irritated hand capable of killing almost anything, even and mystery. I do not know who this is. I'm telling you right now, I don't know who this is, but I do think this is hardcore theory mongering that a Prince of Hell was involved in making the Star Sword.
If this is the Star sword, it could be Narben. The reason I'm saying it could be a death sword, right? Or something. Yes, yeah. The reason I'm saying it. Could be Narben is because we have a quote about Narben's origins. While the Star Sword had like light angelic origins, its power was light. Narben's power had darker origins and its power was darker.
So if this is a Prince of hell, this could be Narben. But why would there be a picture of Narben in Midgard when the Star Sword is is the start? Gwidian is the start that came over to Midgard, right? So I definitely think this is the forging of Gwidian. We know that Narbon stayed on Prithean because Amaranth ended up with it, couldn't use it, threw it into the ocean. By the way, I definitely think we're getting Narbon back. I'll add that as a plot point for for Agatar 6IN Irelia. So in the ocean world, I don't know. I don't know who this is.
Could be a Polygon. I'm going to throw out some crazy things now we have Sir we we talked about Sir last week briefly. Sir was was a forgotten minor deity in Midgard. We have a quote. I've got a 9000 year old Rodinian bust of Thur here. This is from Bryce, basically a broody male who was supposed to pass for the nearly forgotten minor storm deity.
All that remained of him in their culture was the behemoth of a planet named after him. And Thursday's apparently right. So even though there's nothing directly connecting this freeze, this carving to Thur, it's such strong Sir Thor imagery with the hammer and the lightning could be Sir. But the question is, of course, who was Sir actually like, who was he? The only character I think we have that could even possibly fit is Rowan.
But I have no idea how that would fit in the story. But he is a female. We know this is a female, and he has lightning power. He has storm and lightning power. I don't know that it is Rowan. I'm throwing that out there as a crazy thing, but I think he's the only one that fits. If it's not a Polygon, but it's probably a Polygon, probably a. Polygon.
Yeah, because why would Rowan be on Prithee? And forging a star sword and then become a minor storm deity on Midgard, right? Doesn't quite fit. I need to think more about the. Storm Powers where is Vaughn? It's vibe. We don't know anything about him. That's not true. We know his. Beast form is an osprey.
Sure not. Helpful. Yeah. So in conclusion, I don't. Know who this is? But I'm positive it's health related. I'm positive this is Star Sword. Yeah, certainly hell related, I mean. I I think. When? I yeah, there's definitely the possibility that is just a full on Prince of Hell. There's also the possibility that it's the Sun of Hell that we have not met, which would also be fine. Or does the sun of Hell that we, yeah have met? That we have met, Yeah.
I don't know. I don't know. We don't know this guy's hair color. We don't know anything about him because it's a statue. We've always got a hammer and lightning and a sword and we're enlightening and. Chiseled ABS has some. Blacksmith. Abilities. Yeah, yeah. Sauron. No. Yeah. Cool. Yeah. I really wanted to say it was. Fionn.
But there's not enough evidence that is Fionn. I mean the only evidence. That we have that would be Fionn is like Fionn is said to have made Gwinnian right, but we have no. Evidence that that but made as in made as in dipped in the cauldron and made with a starry power. I I don't know. I mean, he's a servant of. Vespers so to have him creating a sword for her is not that crazy to think about.
But I just want I don't want anything on Theon. Like what were his powers? Anything I posted I think you. Posted this too a video about Theon this weekend. Everyone was like who the fuck is Theon? Yeah, I was like, I'm like. I understand why you think. That I think he's really important yeah he's mentioned twice so I. Get it?
Totally get it. Yeah, man. All right, what's yours? OK, so my pre cog corner theory is inspired by a social media shout out. So I'm going to do the shout out first because that theory is not mine. And then I'm going to do the follow on theory. So this theory is full credit to just Nina. That's her stage name and her TikTok handle is at Miss under score Nina Marie, IE she posted a video on February 19th and I'm saying the date because I really think that you should go watch it.
She tagged us. It is a fabulous video. I'm giving you the Cliff notes, but like seriously, go follow and watch this video because it is really good. Her theory is that when Reece is having that terrible dream in Akamaf and Pharaoh wakes him up and he's like freezing and cloaked in darkness. We've talked about this on the pod before. He is being visited by a Prince of hell. Yeah, 100.
Percent. Yes, Yes, yeah. So she references. Some really good parallels of the mirror scene in the House of Sky and Breath chapter 21, where Hunt is being visited by Napoleon. We don't have an external perspective of Hunt being visited. He doesn't seem to have necessarily like the same power and function because Bryce is just sleeping next to him. But we get like the the dream that he has seems like it could be similar to the dream that Reese is having. And we don't have Reese's internal perspective, right. So I think that in and of itself. Fabulous fucking theory.
Amazing work. I love it. I love it, you know? Incredible. Work. I have some follow on thoughts because I obviously fucking spiraled. If this is true, what's happening in House of Sky and breath at that point, right is Apollyon's like, hey, I'm checking in. You're supposed to be honing your powers and helping Bryce and like we have puzzle pieces that need to fall into place that we have been setting you up for like get after. It basically is what Apollyon is there to tell to tell Honey and Hunt's kind of like fuck off.
Like I don't plan on being led by led by you. And my follow on theory is very much built off of Nina's theory. But you know Reese is being visited by Prince of Hell and that's why it's precog. But this dream and fair of pulling Reese out of it occurs right after the King of Highburn has reunited the feet of the cauldron with the cauldron.
If the cauldron is a word gate or can be used for traveling where the Princess of hell coming to Reese pretty concerned or unhappy or again like trying to have puzzle pieces fall into place, concerned about who might be readying to use it. Remember Reese Nina pointed this out was super against the the wall coming down and she said she wasn't sure like how it fit together. Crochet seemed to breach Prythian through Ray Allen, a human queen.
Could the Princess of hell been telling Reese like hey, if the wall comes down, if the cauldron is back in play, if it can, if it can bring down the wall, if it can give hybrid the power to do these things to travel worlds, you are in for some bad shit happening in Prythian. We are invested in Prythian for all of the reasons that we have talked about on this podcast that well would be invested in Prythian.
We are telling you, Reese, what you need to do to prevent it, and we are invested in you. Does Reese have secrets? We think that Reese has secrets. I think that Reese has secrets and his secrets are that the Princess of hell have been telling him, hey, these are the things that you need to be doing. And that's why he is so fucking calculated and what he was doing, what he's been doing really the whole time, like his court is always like, yeah, Reese is always cooking up a plan.
They're always giving me fucking heart attacks. Yeah. Like, that's my theory basically, is that I love it. Reese's, I love it. Told by the Princess of hell. You need to, you need to watch out because basically because the Daglin are still in play is my theory. But she has set up. Well, both the Princess of Hell and Vesperous, right?
Although Vesperous is gone, but presumably the Esteri can do this. If Vesperous can do this right, she has set up the ability for Dreamwatch. Talking again, for lack of a better word. I've only seen it in Crescent City, but there's no reason to not see it in Prithea now, right? I really like it, Yeah, because the.
Princess of Hell. Are visiting Bryce and Hunt from hell. They're not. They're not on Midgard. They're on another planet. Right. Yeah. And when this happens to Reese, he is freezing. Freezing cold. The same. Yeah. Which is. Well, but this is also what happens to Bryce and Hunt in the case in the case when they go or time Walker, they are freezing cold. Yeah.
Oh, my God. I love it so much. Yeah. Good job. No God. Good job, Nina. But I think it makes everything makes. So much more sense. Like, why is Reese so invested? No offense. Like, yeah, he loves Farrah, but like, why is he so invested in making sure the wall doesn't come down? Like he seems to have foresight into something bigger coming for them.
We have talked about Adas's potential care for this land because he obviously loves Thea and his mate. So yeah, Hell is still watching over Prytheon, and I think that's very cute. Epic romances of the fae Faeonatus. Faeonatus. Not Helena and Pellius. Not Helena and Pellius. Yeah, maybe I. Don't know.
I I really, really, really like that idea. I think that's awesome. Yeah, Yeah. So that would be crazy and. Also that could be how we get our Prince of hell reveal. I don't know how much Reese POV we're going to get in a Guitar 6, but if like if Reese is putting up barriers around the prison, is he being told to, you know? Well, yeah, I mean, I just.
Had the thought that Pharah can now Pharah can walk into Reese's dreams. In theory certain the way that Reese was walking into her dreams. So if we get more favorite POV or something, I don't know. We should know. We should know. Yeah. I love it. I love it. Cool. All right, All right. Remember when we thought this would be a shorter. Yeah.
Fingers crossed the next one will be shorter. All right, well that is all we have for you this week. Thank you for listening. We are on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube at Dragons in the details pod. We have a website dragonsinthedetails.com. We have a contact form there. You are more than welcome to reach out to us there with any theories that you have.
As you have realized, we sometimes shout them out if we think they are awesome. We have a discord server. It's LinkedIn. The show notes Dragons in the details is the Discord name. They are, they have their own book club, Lettuce Baby Book Club that is a very light Crescent City spoiler if you look up what it means, but they are doing a full mass verse reread and publication order which is super fun. You get lots of little cross world links that way. If you want to participate.
I'm sure they would be thrilled to have you. They do like some meetups in the discord voice channel every once in a while. It's a fun time and that's all I got for you this week. Love you, bye. Love you, bye.
