GUYS we got our very first ITC EXCLUSIVE on the infamous dating app voice note... a man, his lunch and the most diabolical string of excuses you could imagine ("Farrrrk.... I slept all the way in", you know the one).We reached out to the creator Hannah and got EXCLUSIVE UPDATES on the situation, and my god. Maybe we'll become journalists or something.

The HBO Girls reboot is on its way, and the internet has been flooded with plot predictions. Where has everyone ended up? Is Adam alive? Is Shosh still in contact with any of the girls? Hannah Horvath is fine, probably. We're ranking our faves and talking about Adam Driver naturally.

Plus, our mate Gabbi Whipps offered to shout her removalist lunch as a thank you. He then ordered enough burgers to feed a small village and send her into debt. WHY DO MEN MAKE SUCH DIABOLICAL DECISIONS.

And a dilemma about a marketplace bargain. Whatever you assume it is, we promise it's better.

Strap in superstars, we’ll see you in the comments xx

Okay, I'll tell you how this flight ended.

It ended with this old man holding my hand, saying, I love you. You are now my daughter. I will pray for you and your family for the rest of my life.

What's up superstars we're back baby we're back i was actually gone yeah did you catch on yeah did you catch on.

I'm live and you're also live yeah and i have been in italy for a month yeah and i grow i grew growed i grew spiritually yeah emotionally physically oh you grew height Yeah, muscle and leg strength and mentally and just in every way possible. And I probably had the best time of my life ever.

You know what? As I'm looking at you now, you are like an ethereal goddess. You feel glowy. You feel enlightened.

I've done this joke a few times to everyone that will listen. But whatever Italy is doing over there, it's pretty good. And I love their work.

Whatever's in the water of Italy.

Yeah.

That's not a joke. Yeah, that's not a joke. It's not funny at all.

Well, she's kind of a.

Little bit of a funny ad lib.

No, I'm really, I'm not laughing.

Well, do you want to know a fact about the Dolomites?

Oh, here we go, yeah.

Used to be a coral reef.

Oh, wow. And then what, climate change or?

Welcome home.

For the listeners, Liv got back Friday midnight.

I love traveling. It's such a privilege. But these long haul flights, I liken them to something somewhat of childbirth where you do it and you forget it.

So you have to do it again.

They take it out of you.

And I had maybe one of the craziest flights back to Australia from Dubai. So the longer leg, I was sitting down and this older gentleman, he would have been around 80 years old.

Yeah, blossom.

I was in the aisle seat of the middle row, so the four, and then there's an aisle. And I had chosen that seat because I want an aisle seat.

Oh, I have to have an aisle seat because I have pee anxiety.

Yes, me too. He was in the seat next to me, and his wife was behind him. And he asked if I could swap with his wife. And there was a younger couple that were on the other side of him.

Yeah.

I love women. We're just so quick.

We're so quick.

And even when.

Another woman's not being quick, we'll step in. And the wife of the couple says to the older gentleman, she can't move.

She's got dietary requirements.

Wait, but how did she didn't know you?

No, no, no.

I didn't. She was just like, she just came in and saved the day for me. She goes, she's got dietary requirements. She can't move seats.

Wow.

In that moment, I was in love with that girl.

Did you like make eye contact?

I went like this.

Praise be.

Yeah.

And she went all good.

Yeah.

Anyway. It ended up that... Okay, I'll tell you how this flight ended. It ended with this old man holding my hand, saying, I love you. You are now my daughter. I will pray for you and your family for the rest of my life.

What?

What did you do?

Did you, like... Did you, did you do the mile hard club or whatever it's called?

I sat down and we're like, you know, getting everything ready. And I go, and you're good with old people as well.

Yeah.

I love old people. Like I love broing out with them. So I'm sitting down and then he turns to me and he goes, okay, so what time do we land? And I say around 10 30 PM.

Right.

And then he looks at my phone and on my phone, it said 9 AM and he goes, okay, so one hour.

Oh, that's something I would say.

And I look at my phone and then the girl was next to him as well and she looks at me and we go, no, no, no, more like 13. How old was this man and who let him on the plane?

He's 18.

He was like 80 years old. He goes, 13 hours?

Is he on the wrong flight?

No, and I look at him and I go, how did you get here? And he goes, I don't know.

My wife dragged me here.

Then old mate goes, where's my wife? And things start clicking for me. And I go, she's behind you. And he goes, are you sure?

And I go, yeah.

And then he stands up, stares at her, sits back down. And then I go. I go, yeah.

And then he goes, how long is this flight?

And I go, oh. Oh, here we go, buddy.

He raw dogged the whole fucking flight, guys. It was maybe one of the more distressing things I've ever seen. Like I would put on a movie for him. At one point I put a Superman documentary on. Yeah. And he just watched it with no sound.

How? Did you not offer headphones?

Oh, I did. And he goes, no. I don't want him.

I'm just a visual guy.

And then he'd go, those are yours. And I was like, okay. He was like, you are so sweet. You kept saying I was so sweet. I slept through breakfast. He had smuggled things and kept them. And when I woke up.

He handed me breakfast.

It was the cutest thing ever.

So how long did you sleep for, do you reckon?

I think I slept for six hours on and off. And when he gave me the breakfast, he goes, I got sweeties for my sweetie. And I was like, oh my God.

I got sweeties for my sweetie. I'm going to just say that to you.

I know.

It was the cutest thing ever. Every time I buy you coffee.

I know. And then I was obviously traveling with my best friend, Shell, and Shell came over halfway through the flight.

And I go, this is crazy.

And Shell goes, I'm i've got a crazy one too apparently shell was sitting next to a woman that when the person started reclining the seat which was like a 90 year old grandma started reclining.

The seat on this is a flight for old people.

I know on a 50 year old woman that shell was next to apparently the 50 year old but.

You can't do that on a long haul flight you have to let people she started punching the seat And I was like, what?

And then Shell goes, I go, well, Shell, this is my friend.

And he goes, hey.

And then they have a chat for a bit. Shell leaves.

He goes to me, nice to meet them, but not the first time I've met them.

And I go.

Oh, when did you meet? Did you meet before on the flight? And he goes, no, no, two days ago in the park. LAUGHTER And I was like, Oh my God, I didn't know that. That's crazy. That was crazy.

I didn't know that.

Yep.

Won't be the last time either.

And I go, Oh, okay. And then basically it all ends.

Up being like pretty special.

Like we, he, he would pray a lot throughout the flight and then he would, he would like translate the prayers for me. And then he gave me a little prayer card out of his wallet. He genuinely was like, you will be in my heart forever.

Do you think he'll remember though?

I don't know. And he was just so cute though.

That's so lovely.

He's so cute. He just, oh, I was obsessed. Like I couldn't get off the flight quicker, but I was like, that was.

A very sweet.

And wholesome interaction.

Yeah. You could be sat next to some really annoying people. Yeah. But he was quite lovely. And the fact that anyone that says, I'll pray for you. I'm like, either something's really wrong with me or we have a special connection.

It was so cute. And he made me, he made me list everyone that was close to me. I list all, like, he was like, who do you work with? Who are your best friends? And I had to list full names. At one point he really wanted my street address.

And I was like, nah.

So Liv's been gone for a month. Yes. Went to Italy. Yes.

Beautiful time.

Yes.

While you're away, last week, Lena Dunham announced that she will be doing a girls reboot. HBO will be supporting it. Judd Apatow will also still be on it. There's been so many predictions based on what's going to happen in these five episodes.

I haven't seen any.

And I'm going to let you rank them. And I've created a scale based on Hannah's worst or best decisions. So five out of five, leaving New York to raise Grover, her son.

So that's like, You think that was her best decision?

Well, she's prioritizing someone else for once in her life. Yeah. Yeah. Hard disagree. Okay. Well, guys, it's a scale that I've created. Okay. So that's the best decision, right? Five out of five for one of the predictions, right? Okay. Yep, yep, yep. Four out of five is taking the upstate teaching job. Okay.

Wow, you have a really interesting perspective on her life.

Okay, guys, trying to remember everything that she's done is kind of hard at like 9pm at night.

For context, Hannah, she is a writer.

Yes.

And she spends the whole season, all the seasons of Girls in New York City.

Making terrible decisions.

Making terrible decisions and trying to be like this next big thing.

Yes.

And then the whole thing ends with her leaving the city and choosing to.

Be a teacher.

Yeah. So having a baby and having a baby.

In this case, I'm just saying, you know, if it's a good prediction.

And you know what?

She seemed happy at the end.

Yeah. She seemed like she had a bit of closure. She seemed happy at the end.

What are you on, guys?

Oh, guys, let me get back to my scale. We don't have time for this. Three out of five.

Yep.

Breaks up with Fran at a rest stop, refuses his ride home, calls Ray to pick her up in his new coffee truck, gives him roadhead, causes him to crash, then abandons him to hitchhike with a stranger. She had just broken up with someone. Haven't we all had a rebound?

Her friend who dated her friend.

Yes.

Do you remember this?

Two of her fucking friends yes in a car in a truck in a truck yes and it was like the most uncomfortable thing honestly the show was so brilliant if you go back and watch that scene yeah it is the most fucked and real life representation of how that would go oh because you could both tell that they were like what am i doing yeah this is weird but i guess i'm doing it yeah it's one of those things where you're like well i'm here now i can't believe that's ranked three like yep three out of five best.

Thing she's ever done no I'm going from like good to bad yeah okay so that's like if the prediction you think is like an okay prediction it's like it's three out of five okay two out of five inviting Elijah in the theater gaze to the beach house. Do you remember that episode? That's like a, you know, and then, um, we've got one out of five sending Adam's girlfriend, a naked photo of herself.

You remember when Hannah did that? And Adam is her like situation.

And then zero out of five is the Q-tip incident. But I'm going to give you the predictions now. Okay. So prediction one. Marnie divorces Booth Jonathan, who, if you would remember, is from season one. He's that like weird artsy dude. Who's Booth?

He's like, he's the rich guy.

The rich guy who had all the weird like houses and stuff. Marnie divorces Booth Jonathan and gets back into music, reuniting with Desi in a folk group that plays to a religious crowd until they turn on her after finding out she's a secret lesbian. Leading her to her first cancellation. And then I also think that Marnie could then enter a TikTok music career perhaps after. What would you rate that?

I'll give it a three.

Okay. In a truck.

Yeah.

I'd give it a three.

Not bad, not great. Yeah.

I'm not like moved by it. It's kind of like, yeah, that probably could happen.

Yeah. Now the second prediction, Jessa. She has a whirlwind love affair with a Danish prince. Right. And now collects a hefty child support check for their two year old son. She splits her time between an apartment in Greenpoint and a little cottage in Connecticut. She's a little maha, which is make America healthy again.

Yep.

And has a pet pig.

Five out of five.

You reckon? I love it. Okay. Now this one I actually think is very realistic. So I like the theory that Elijah is the only one still in contact with the four girls. And so episode one.

Yeah.

So they all, they all, you know how at the end though, besides Marnie and Hannah, everyone was sort of split, right? So I like the idea that episode one, Elijah organizes a brunch with everyone, but they don't know that they're all going to be there. And so they sit at this table and they're all like, what are you doing here?

And then it kind of sparks this like reunion because you have to think about like, how are they going to get these characters back into the same room?

True.

I like it.

But I don't believe, like, they're limbs of each other. They can't survive without one another.

But I do think that the show will start with them having, like, a break from each other and then coming back.

True.

What would you rate it?

Maybe, like, I give that a two.

Two, not a fan.

No, not a fan.

Do you know what I think?

I reckon Shosh has gone off. I don't think she has anything to do with them. But I do believe that, well, do you know what? I reckon Hannah and Marnie always are in contact.

But the others, I don't know.

Yeah, interesting. I do think that as well. And my other thing is I do think that Elijah will be like some Broadway producer or director.

Maybe he'll be the most successful.

He actually might. I do think Shosh will be the most successful. Yeah, true.

I reckon Shosh will be really rich.

Oh, yeah.

I reckon she'll have a lot of money. One of them has to have a lot of money.

Oh, yeah, for sure. Okay, nice. Shosha is a creative director for a cool millennial brand. She is a partner who she refuses to call her boyfriend, even though that's exactly what he is. Okay. She's frozen her eggs and is considering becoming a single mom. She also writes hugely successful fan fiction. under a pseudonym, and might even land a movie deal.

Well, do you know what's good about that?

Yeah. It sounds like she's living Hannah's dream life. Well, that's what I think. And Hannah would fucking hate that.

I think that's what will happen, though.

She would despise that. Do you know what? I like that. I'll give it five out of five for that exact fact. Do you think Hannah's parents are alive?

Mm-hmm. I think maybe the dad's really happy and he's gone. Like, you know how, obviously, he becomes gay. I reckon he's just living his, like, best gay life.

But I reckon one of them's died.

Oh!

Do you reckon the mum? No, I don't think they would have.

Now, Adam Driver was a huge character in the first series, but he had a lot of drama on set. He wasn't very nice and et cetera, et cetera.

But, guys. You want him back?

What if he just came back?

He won't. There's no way.

I know there's no way.

Can you imagine?

Imagine if they just went, all right, we've got to swallow all of this shit.

If they did like a.

Yeah and he swallowed he swallows it too and goes fine because you would have to be dumb not to say look adam driver is very much into the art of things now and like loves being like this big actor and blah blah blah blah.

He does a lot of franchises yeah he's not an artsy guy marriage story was his only artsy film and since then he has just gone like for scraps And people will be like, yeah, Ocasio's a villain. Because he was in the Star Wars, obviously played Darth Vader.

If he knew what was good for him.

He did not play Darth Vader. Dear God.

Who did he play?

I thought he played Darth Vader. He played a villain, but he didn't play Darth Vader. Are you sure? Someone look that up. I think it was Kylo Ren.

Oh, yeah.

That's still the same. That's like the same.

People will hate that.

I know, but sorry. But it's like the whole mask and your red little sword.

I'm going to look down the barrel of the camera.

She loves saying that.

She does.

Adam Driver. And Adam Driver's team.

Yes.

If you want him to have a long and lustrous career and you know what's good for him, women are the most powerful people in the world.

Yes.

And if you manage to get him back in this series of Girls, the reboot, it would do wonders for him.

Lena Dunham would not let him set foot on that set.

I know.

But.

True, and it would just be giving him.

Never do it like and also girls had a massive issue with this of having guys with massive egos because mani's first ever boyfriend yeah he like was very open about how he hated girls and shit and i'm like that meant charlie so he ended up quitting to go on a different thing thinking you'd become more successful and then that thing completely like plateaued.

The thing is though with adam driver is that like he said.

What did so what did um what happened with Yeah.

Oh my God.

How did you not know?

They had a very like tumultuous relationship, like lots of like fights. And then I think they had some weird thing where he bought his wife. Adam Driver. Has this long-term girlfriend, right?

They've been dating since 2012, maybe earlier, 2008 or something. Lena writes about in Famesick, the night before he proposes to that girl, he shows up at Lena's apartment.

Lena doesn't let him in.

But he's yelling, being like, like, Like I think that she kind of alluded to the fact that maybe something romantic was like would have happened if she let him up, but she didn't.

So the very last time that they talked to each other was.

The last scene that they filmed for Girls and then they never spoke again.

Is he with that girl still?

Yeah.

And then in an interview when Famesick came out, the like interviewers goes like, oh, Famesick, any comments about it? And he goes, you'll hear my comment in my own memoir.

Wow.

So it's like really interesting because we don't, he hasn't spoken about it at all. And we're going off her word purely, which obviously, you know, I believe, but yeah. Okay. So this is my last one. You can rate it out of five. Hannah is now a trauma-informed creativity coach running workshops out of a rented studio space in Brooklyn.

She charges $ 300 a session called Writing Your Inner Child's Memoir. She's a substack with 11 subscribers, a boyfriend named Wolf who makes fermented hot sauce. She insists she has done the work, though she still refers to Grover, her son, as her creative collaborator and has somehow made his third great art project about her. There's a lot to... What are we rating that one?

I hate it. I initially was like, that's impossible. I was going to give it zero because she's so selfish. She does not give a flying fuck about anyone else. But then she was charging $ 300. So I was like, that is selfish. And then number two, I think that she would have more followers on Substack. I actually genuinely believe that she would be at least somewhat internet famous. Yeah.

I also think, because Lena said in an interview that like Hannah... would likely be a lesbian. So I don't think she would be dating a man. I actually think that maybe like Marnie and her even got together. That's like my, or they at least had a little like, like fling.

That's not that crazy.

No, it's not.

Their relationship is so fucking weird and how Marnie rocks up at the house going, I want.

To raise this child with you. Yeah, I genuinely think they at least made out once or twice.

Yeah, I actually clock it.

For sure. Clock it, bro. Thanks.

Do you know what I think Hannah's doing? She's writing kids' books.

Yeah, I think, no, I genuinely think she's a successful ghostwriter because she could never make it as her own.

Speaking of diabolical behavior.

Yes. Just segueing into the next segment.

Smoothly and professionally.

Yeah. I want to talk about something that I absolutely did consume while I was away.

Yes.

And that is a voicemail or a voice message that went viral on social media.

Yeah.

It is from a girl called Harmony.

She recounted her journey of going on a date and having the guy not show up. She was talking to a guy and they had decided to go to coffee the next morning.

He then kind of, you know, evaporates.

Yeah. Like they do at times. A temporary ghost, some might say. Yeah, a temporary ghost. But they had agreed where to go and what time. Yes. And then she messages and goes, all good for coffee.

Yeah.

He never replies, but she decides still to go at the time. And a lot of people have been coming at her for that, which I believe is so fucked. I'm like, why not?

Just go and have the coffee.

Although I will be devil's advocate here. Love her. But why are you making a coffee date the day of your flight?

What do you mean?

I wouldn't do that. She's FIFO.

She flies in and out.

That's her job. it's her life okay do you know what I mean yeah it's just like her flight still though I don't know but that's just life that would give me anxiety if I'm like oh I'm loving this date but I've got to be somewhere I'm doing that.

All right.

True.

You are.

And she, so she basically was like, I'm still going to go. She goes to the coffee. She makes a video about how he never turns up. And then people are kind of like, they're supporting her and et cetera, et cetera. But then she's also getting a bit of backlash and I'm like, go get a life guys. Um, and then basically she makes another video saying I've just received a, like a 37 second voice message from him.

And I'm going to play it to your cue voice message. We should just play it.

Hey, superstars. Legally, we can't show you this voice memo, but alas, I will be doing a dramatic retelling with props. So feel free to watch.

Fuck.

I'm so sorry. I slept all the way in.

Didn't even check my phone because I had a 10 o'clock appointment with Jujutsu. I said I was going to be there to help a competitor train. So I was there from 10 o'clock to 11.30, but I slept in until about 9.30 to do it. So very rushed and silly morning for myself, really. Poorly organized. I'm jealous because I wanted to go to gather grounds before you flew out.

And what are you in Darwin for? When do you come back to the big smoke? Excuse me, I'm having lunch.

I had a few thoughts. I actually, like, wrote down some of my thoughts.

Please tell me.

I was like, there is so much sniffing. Yeah. Because people are talking about the food tap. I'm like, stuff the food. Why are you sniffing so much? Yeah, and everything. And then also, since when was Adelaide considered the big smoke? That got me. That got me so bad.

Oh, it's so funny. But go back. But he, so he obviously... Everything about this voice message is fucked. Saying that he was jealous that she ought to go to coffee when he was invited.

Saying that he slept in.

Because he did have time. Sorry, the excuse backfired.

Yeah, exactly.

Because he genuinely did have time.

Jiu-jitsu.

By the way, I'm eating lunch.

Oh, we fucking know. A lot of people.

This went so viral.

People started recreating it using the voice message and mouthing to it.

A lot of people.

were giving her hate for still going and then sending the message to him saying coffee was good, by the way. What I think, yes, a lot of people are like, whoa, did you do that? I know, that's great. I think it's so good that she held. You're up, you're up. Exactly. And I think it's incredible that she held him accountable.

Oh, yeah.

Because she could have just ghosted him, but she then went back and said coffee was great, by the way, and then he sent that voice message back. Yeah.

And he had to explain his behavior.

Yeah.

And I thought that that was an incredible move by her.

Oh, definitely.

And anyone that's saying otherwise, go get a life.

Yeah.

Do you know what?

Yeah. You have to be.

humbled in a way in your.

Life like this because it opens your brain in many ways. It reminds me of the worst date I've ever been on. Do you know what I'm going to talk about? Was this the one where he left? Yeah. I do remember this.

But then it turned out kind of good with the bartender. Is this that story?

I got ghosted in the middle of a date. It was an hour and a half in. He goes to me, where's the bathroom? And I go, it's just downstairs. Never comes back. Never comes back. He leaves me the.

Hundred dollar bill.

Dine and dash.

Dined and dashed.

And this guy was like, he was 28. I was 24. He just bought an apartment. He was like, you know, on paper, he seemed like he was very good looking. Like he looked like all nice and stuff. But he had literally ghosted me in the middle of the fucking date. The bartender watched it happen and said, don't worry about the bill. And here's a free shot. And then I went to my best friend's house and I cried for the rest of the night.

And were you really enjoying the date?

No, no, no.

He was like, it was like fucked, but it was an hour and a half in.

He could have easily come up and been like, Hey, I've got to go home now.

Cause that's like an acceptable amount of time to be like, Hey, yeah, I think we should just part ways.

Yeah.

But he was such a coward.

And I like people that are giving harmony, any kind of critical, like criticism.

I've never been ghosted.

They've never, they've never been put in a position like that. And the behavior of men is, They need to be held accountable because that guy left, unmatched me on Hinge instantly. I was sitting there for 20 minutes, guys. And at the 20 minute mark, I was like, oh. And it is like your gut, you're like, you feel so vulnerable.

So I really applaud her for being like, I'm going to make him explain himself.

Yeah, yeah.

I also, another thought that I had is like when you can't, like you know how people get worried about sending a text message with tone?

Yeah.

So then you send a voice memo when you know you've done something bad because you're like, Oh, this might help convey a bit of like sincerity, but then you just sound like you don't give a fuck. Like he sounds like he couldn't care less. He probably was really nervous sending that as well. I genuinely think he was a bit nervous.

Well, we've actually gone to the source. I messaged Harmony and I, because a lot of people have a lot of questions in the comments. One of them being, has he seen the voice message? Another one being, is it a famous influencer? Because a lot of like guys that are micro influencers on TikTok, this is the funniest part of this, I think. A lot of guys are having to do videos saying, guys, please stop saying that I'm jujitsu guy. I promise you I'm not. And they're having to say sentences of the voice message to prove that it's not him.

And everyone's like, is it another influencer?

Because she's got quite a big following. So maybe she's connected with someone that also does. And I was like, well, you know what? Why don't we just ask her? And she was great. She came back and she's answered all the questions, guys.

So we've got some.

This is girlhood.

We've got exclusive tea from Harmony herself.

Yeah.

So basically, I wanted to know if she replied to the voice message. And she said she never replied to the voice note, but he unmatched her after he sent it.

Oh!

Wow so he knew so they never heard like she's never heard from him again but she's unsure if he unmatched her because she didn't reply or if he saw her video with the voice message i reckon i would unmatch because then i'm like i need to make sure she doesn't have any of my photos yeah true true and then i asked because everyone's wondering if he's an influencer And there's lots of influencers that are having to do the piece to camera saying it's not me.

I asked if there's any merit to that.

You know why? Everyone is so scared since the Oliver Mills situation. They're like, I need to clear my name.

Yes, exactly. He's not an influencer.

And out of all the guesses and DMs that she's gotten, not a single person has guessed it right. interesting so no one has actually named him he's a nobody yeah well i guess it'd also be people going hey is it this guy like yeah or like i because to be fair are your friends going to dub you in like hey i know this voice yeah exactly um so no not an influencer or if you've guessed you haven't gotten it right yeah and this i wanted to know if they had been sending voice messages or if this was the first voice message good idea He had never sent, nor had she ever sent a voice message. This is the first time he had ever sent a voice message.

I think you were right. He was trying to get the tone across, but then he just sounded like a dick.

And you know why? Because I have done that before in a different scenario, not to do with dating, but I'm like, oh, I really need to convey my tone here. And it literally backfires. I was like, oh, that sounds like I don't care.

I actually have a voice. fucking crazy story about a voice message once there was this guy that i was like really trying to quite impress yeah and we were sending voice message well he sent me a voice message first and then i was like i need to seem really like casual and cool yeah so i went and fake took my bins out voice message while i was taking my bins out and you can hear the bins fucking throwing it i'm throwing the bins.

Around and it was all fake That's like guys who lay down in bed just to get a sleepy voice. Yeah. It's like the equivalent. Yeah. That's so true.

That's so true.

And then I wanted to know some of the funny interactions that she had had since going viral. She said that she was shopping in Adelaide or the Big Smoke, as he called it. And she was walking past a cafe and a guy that was literally serving customers just stopped serving them and went, fuck, like that, like the voice message.

That's so funny. Yeah. Like recognized her.

Yeah, recognized her and went, fuck, I slept.

All the way in.

How funny is that?

And then she was in Bali and a guy came up to her and said, oh my God, you're the jujitsu girl.

Wow. And she doesn't even do jujitsu.

No, exactly.

And then he did a few jujitsu moves.

Oh, dude, that's like my love story.

I know.

How fucking funny is that? It's a great story to tell your next date. It is such a good story. Also, maybe it just makes other men afraid.

I hope so.

Like it just, do you know what?

It's just like, gosh, if this.

Can be anything, may it be a learning experience.

Please.

I slept all the way in is not actually a sentence and it doesn't make a lot of sense.

No.

Um, and don't eat while recording a voice message.

Yeah. And I also think before and matching, because obviously, you know, you've done something bad. Yeah. Maybe just apologize. Yeah.

I think if he wanted to really approach this properly, I think that he should have, even if he did see the voice message going viral, he would have, he should have sent a message being like, hey, I'm actually really sorry. Like seeing this has made me realize that it probably wasn't the right thing to do. um and yeah in this case i think ghosting would have been better yeah but do you know what would have been really funny because i actually think he could have crawled his way back from this i.

Don't I think he could have.

I think if he came back with a really beautiful message and said, look, I would actually really love to take you out on a date. And then had been like, please tell me when you're back. I'll take you out for dinner, et cetera, et cetera. It would have been such a beautiful start. So we don't know if he's seen the voice message or not.

Probably for her own good. He's unmatched.

But thank you, Harmony.

You're a legend.

We love you. And you did the exact right thing. You played it so well. A friend of ours and I don't know, I'll say friend of the pod. I don't know, Gabby, if you've listened, but we'll just assume.

Yeah.

Hey, Gabby. She's so cutie.

Friend of Mamma Mia.

Yeah.

Gabby Whips has gone viral over the last few days because she's moving house.

And that's a very stressful time in anyone's life.

Yeah.

Moving house is really hard.

I've done it like 10 times in the last two years.

It is so stressful.

So bad, yeah.

And if you can find help in any way, you will take it.

Yeah.

So she's gotten removalists to help her move. i actually cannot believe this story so she's gotten help removalists and they've come in and they're helping pack up her house and they're being really helpful they've worked all day right and she does the thing like i've been taught to do this as well where if you're getting help from someone like a removalist or if you have a plumber or if you have like a builder over you offer to buy them lunch or you offer to buy them dinner or a coffee yeah i've done it yeah yeah It's just like a thanks for helping me out. Exactly.

Yeah.

And she does that.

It's kind of like tipping.

Yes.

Yeah.

Let me get you a sausage roll. You know?

We had like builders in our house growing up.

Yeah.

And you know when you're like in your dressing gown and you come out and they've got like your mug because your mum's like made them a cup of tea or something. Anyway, go on. And you're like, who is this man?

I can't say I've ever lived that experience.

Okay.

Do you know what one time I did walk out? I walked out and I did the most diabolical burp.

Oh, no.

And then I turned the corner and there was the hottest man I think I'd ever seen at that point in my life.

Were you 12 years old?

No, I was like probably 16, so it was even more embarrassing.

Oh, okay, so you were in like purging stage.

Yeah, and I remember turning the corner and my mum wasn't there. It was just the hottest guy I'd ever seen in my life. And I was like, yep, I could die now. I did think about that. Anyway, so Gabby offered to buy these guys dinner as a thank you for, you know, all the hard work and helping her out. This led her to being the victim of a literal etiquette crime, I would say.

I want you to hear what he ordered. This is for one person.

Two fried chicken burgers, two chicken royales, eight nuggets, four medium chips and four raspberry Fanta's for one man. Yes. This cost her $ 138. 89. The funniest part was when Gabby was reading it out.

Yeah.

The bacon deluxe minus bacon. Yeah. Was crazy to me.

So he did bacon deluxe minus bacon, but then he would do bacon deluxe with bacon.

Yeah.

It was so.

It was definitely for his kids.

No, no, no, no.

But she's been.

Okay.

So this is interesting, right?

She's been in the comments answering a lot of questions because a lot of people have been saying that you've just fed his family for a week.

Either meal prepping or that's your family's food.

Exactly. But she confirmed that he didn't have a family that big. That it doesn't make sense.

She alluded to the fact that she knows how.

Many children he has and that this amount of food still does not make any sense.

Yes.

I thought maybe the craziest part.

Oh, no.

I also, I just can't believe this.

Yeah.

Because everyone knows if you're getting offered food or if someone else is paying. Oh, my God.

Okay, I had a good thing about this.

Yes, tell me.

No, no, no, you go, you go.

Well, you always just go for the cheaper option.

Okay.

Or you always go cheaper than them.

You've segwayed beautifully.

Okay.

My uncle took my boyfriend at the time and I out for dinner. And it was sort of our first family dinner. And I'm quite close with my uncle.

Okay.

So we went to a pub and my partner at the time ordered fish and chips, which is obviously a lovely meal. But I knew that he probably would be more of a steak guy. I ordered a steak and it was delicious. And everyone ordered these like big Sunday roast meals. They all came out. And I knew my boyfriend was a bit like... and so afterwards I pull him aside I'm like why don't you like I can tell like why don't you just order what you wanted and he goes well the fish and chips was the cheapest thing and I didn't want to disrespect your family yeah I was like okay for some reason I told my uncle.

This I was like wait at the dinner.

No no no not in front of everyone like this was like when we got home and my uncle was really mad he was like does he not think that I can like you know, pay for him to have a nice time and a good meal. On one side, my partner was trying to do like the right thing or like social etiquette.

Yeah.

Whereas my uncle was like, no, that's rude. I think that's really rude.

Oh.

How strange is that? That is interesting.

I think that's like a male ego thing. Do you think? Maybe.

Because I think like I would probably order more of the cheaper thing. But then I also get that if you're taking someone out and you offer it, that maybe there is the side where it's like you can expect that someone might just, you know.

Do you know what I try and do?

I try and make sure that I know what the person is ordering that is paying so they can order first and then.

I'll be like, oh, what are you getting?

What are you going to get? Yeah, true, yeah.

And then I always just try and make sure.

That you match it.

That I match it or if it's lower than this. Yes, yes. Do you know what I mean?

Yeah, no, I agree.

But I do believe, like, I think that your partner was just doing what is socially acceptable.

I know.

I don't think he was in the– to be fair, I don't think necessarily anyone was in the wrong.

Yeah, it is interesting. I just can't believe that this guy did this. I think what he saw was like, oh, this is a young girl because Gabby said to him you can get whatever you want. Yeah.

He took that liberally.

He really took it and he ran with it. She's answered a lot of the questions in the comments. Number one was the fact that the company actually has compensated for her paying for the meal because they rang her up the next day and they said, How was everything? And she was like, it was really good and everything.

And then she was like, and I just told them. And then they said, we're going to pay you back, which I think is incredible of the company. And I think she absolutely did the right thing telling them. Because I do think this guy just saw a young girl being in a vulnerable position. You're in one of the most vulnerable, stressful times of your life moving house. And he was like, I'm going to take her for a ride.

And then also.

And I don't think he would have done that if it was like a guy. No, he wouldn't have.

Done that if it was anyone else. She's the sweetest, kindest, most like gentle person you will ever meet in your fucking life. Yeah. If I find this fucking guy on the street. Yeah. Seriously, she is so nice. And everyone's coming at her because they're like, well, you ended up buying it. you're a woman you're in your own home with two massive what I assume like big men that are moving your whole fucking house what are you about to be like no I'm not doing that like you're in a vulnerable position of course she's gonna just pay for it yeah unless you're gonna square up like yeah unless you're built like that I think like I was trying to think what I would do.

I think I probably would swing a hit.

Like if a guy turned back to me and said, yeah, he's $ 130. I would be like, you're fucking kidding.

I think I would have probably been more like, you would have paid.

Yeah.

I do think I would have, but then I would have.

Done what she did.

Cause it's like, I'm alone in this new house. I've been through so much stress. I just wanted to order myself food and I offered it thinking I'd do $ 30, 000, 000 max. Yeah, true.

And I started thinking about that too.

Like I'm relatively, like I like to think that I would be a bit more, I don't know, like when I'm presented with situations like that, I always think, oh, you couldn't get that with me.

But in that position, if you're.

Alone in a house with two men, there was two of them there, I probably would have fucking done it too.

Okay, but can we play a little game?

Yeah.

Your phone is handed back to you.

Yeah.

You know, role play, what would you do? What would you say?

I would have thought it was a joke.

Yeah, yeah. How would you get out of it though?

I would have initially been like, you're kidding.

You know what I would have done?

Yeah.

I would have just like not put the order through and then it's time for them to go and I'd be like, oh, damn, sorry, phone glitch.

See ya.

That's true.

That's a good one.

I would have just like fucking left.

Yeah, true.

I guess, but I just would have felt, I honestly probably would have ended up fucking doing it too. And I would have rang my mum immediately and cried.

Do you think he knew that she was like an influencer?

I reckon she.

And thought she had a lot of money.

Well, I just think he would have thought, oh, here's a young girl.

Yeah.

Maybe with a, like, you know, like she's moving into her own apartment, like blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.

He just would have maybe stereotyped her.

Yeah, for sure.

No matter what, he used his power as a man to take like advantage of her.

Rude. He also, in the comments, someone asked, did he say anything when it arrived? Did he even say thank you? Her reply to that, crickets from him. And then guys, which I think is the craziest part. He ordered so much raspberry Fanta, so much, that he went to his car and he got one, two, three, four, five empty bottles of water. She had bought them water.

And like Gatorade.

He poured the water out and filled up these bottles with the fucking raspberry Fanta and literally dirtied her kitchen counter.

Yeah.

Which looked beautiful and got raspberry Fanta all over it and left the mess for her to clean up.

And he said... said it dripped on her new carpet. Yeah.

And dripped on her new carpet.

Seriously, this guy.

This guy is worse than Jujitsu Man.

I agree. Yeah.

Seriously.

This guy is far worse than Jujitsu Man.

Oh, yeah. You know what's tricky? She said that, like, there were two guys moving the furniture.

Yeah.

And she said one of them was so kind and one of them said, no, don't worry, don't get me anything. And then this other guy just fully took advantage. So there are still good men out there, guys.

But I'm like, but then I was also like, this good man should have been like, mate, come on.

Yeah. Do you reckon though? I reckon the whole company probably has beef with him and he's fired.

I hope so.

At least Gabby's okay now and she has her money back.

We love you, Gabby.

And I'm glad that you went viral from it.

So now it's time for our In The Field segment. We've got a special guest. It's Jess, who's our social producer. Jess, please take it away. Hello guys.

Hi Jess.

Okay.

So I'm actually seeking a bit of advice from you both. Over the weekend I was on Marketplace. I need some new outdoor furniture.

So I was looking at a lot of the couches.

Yeah, I recently moved. And I found a pretty good one.

It was like a hundred dollars around the corner.

It's like a three piece set.

It's really good.

So I went with my mum to go pick it up and we got there.

It's like an old lady.

She's got like little dogs barking at the door but i think she lived alone i'm not too sure anyway me and mom we carried it to the ute took it home and i'm setting it up on our patio and i'm like just giving it a clean because it's outdoors and when i lift it up i see taped to the bottom heaps of 100 notes um we counted it it's a thousand dollars so i'm now like do i.

Message her back And let her know? Or do I keep it? You know, I just moved. I'm not on money.

You've got to give it back to her.

Keep it.

What?

Maybe she, like, kind of knew. I don't know.

She, like, seemed well off and fine.

Like, she lived in a good house.

Nah, you've got to go give her the money back. You've got to give her the money back. Coco's saying no. Liv's saying no. Are you serious?

Fine, just keep it. You lose, you lose. No, okay.

Oh, my God.

No, let's think about it. Maybe it's not.

Even her money.

You sadly ought like people that would order $ 138 worth of Uber Eats.

Okay, I'm playing devil's advocate. What if it's not her money? What if that table has had that money on there for ages? Did it look weathered, Jess? Like did it look newly, was it stuck with sticky tape?

It was like torn up dirty like duct tape.

Wait, so like under the duct tape? Like you couldn't tell that it was money and then it was.

No, it was just a strap so you could see the two ends of. the money hundred dollar notes as well.

This feels like bro have you like i would cut the couch open damn it do you know what if you didn't find the money and then found it in like six months i would say keep it but because you found it instantly i do believe that you should go to a house and say look i've found this money yeah and.

I wouldn't be surprised if she would tell you that you can keep it.

No, I just had a similar dilemma where I dined and dashed by accident. Like, I promise you it was by accident because I had to do a raging poo. So I went to the bathroom and then I go, all right, all done. And I walk out of the cafe and then I'm like halfway to my house because I walked like it was like a 40 minute walk and it was a lovely day.

Yeah.

And then I realized that I didn't pay. And I was like, oh, like, doesn't matter. Like, it's done now. But then I just thought karma. And karma made me go back.

I do believe.

And what were they like when you went back?

They were like, oh, my God. Like, I didn't expect, like, anyone else would have probably just kept on going. And I'm like, yeah.

I do think you've got to go back. You've got to go, look, I found this money. She could probably be like, wow, you can have it. But another thing that you could do, you go to the cops. Because I'm pretty sure.

What? I do think it feels some like. It feels illegal.

But I'm pretty sure if you find money, they keep it for a certain amount of time and then it becomes yours. What? Can someone look that up?

No, but they would just give it back to the woman if they're like, so how did you get it? And you're like, well, I found it under this thing. They're like, why? Guys, we're trying to find murderers.

Imagine that.

Well, where did it come from?

This lady's house.

Go give it to her.

I reckon, Jess, that.

You know, she'll give you a hunder.

Yeah.

We hope.

You know.

But to be fair, finders keepers. No, bro. It's illegal.

Fucking hell. All right, guys, that's it. I'm back. I'm back in business.

She's back, but then she's also now going to outro.

Oh, yeah.

So goodbye.

Oh, specific goodbye is hyper specific.

I can come up with them on the spot.

Yeah.
