Good Morning Football is a production of the NFL in partnership with iHeartRadio.

That's right, this is our show.

It's called Good Morning Football, presented by Old Trapper Beef Turkey.

Week seven in the NFL season ends in the city of brotherly love.

And somebody that they hate ever so much is in town in the Dallas Cowboys, in Eagles Cowboys.

8 p.m.

Eastern to kick off a one-night football. But this is good morning football. And we're here.

Talking all things week seven, all things in the NFL. I really love to do the roll call. It's very important to all the energy.

That we have.

We got people from.

I said, Delco, Montgomery County, Bucks County, South Jersey. We got everybody represented. But at the breakfast table, Chester County, excuse.

Me, Jamie Erdahl, Manti Teo. Seth freaking Rollins.

I'm here.

Michael Irvin, the great 88.

And Tanner McKee.

Yeah, we've stumbled upon a funny thing where Tanner McKee, the starting quarterback for the Eagles, Michael Irvin calls him Tanner McGee.

He won't say McKee.

It's McGee.

He hasn't earned.

His K yet. He hasn't earned his K.

Right.

He's no key. He's a geek.

Okay.

Well, you know why we have him, though, is because they lost the keys to their quarterback room in Jalen Hurts earlier this season. So let's work it through how we got here. We dive into the quarterback situation. It's a trip down memory lane because you remember all too well. Back in 2019, you had Carson Wentz as your franchise quarterback.

He signs a four-year, $ 128 million extension to his rookie deal. He leads the Eagles to the playoffs that year. In his first and only playoff game, though, Wentz took a hit from Jadavion Clowney in the first quarter, gets knocked out. Josh McCown comes in. Philly loses 17-9 to the Seahawks. That spring, the Eagles shock everyone by drafting Alabama-Oklahoma quarterback Jalen Hurts in the second round with the 53rd overall pick.

Fast forward a year later, Wentz was traded to the Colts, and Jalen Hurts becomes the new face of the franchise.

And we find ourselves in 2026.

Of course, you know the devastating diagnosis that Jalen Hurts is now dealing with, with blood clots throughout his body. So Mike Garofalo, that is where this leads us on GMFB because the Eagles have a bunch of young stars on defense that they're going to need to pay soon. And now this becomes a numbers crunching issue with the quarterback who's still on his rookie contract. He gets a bigger deal eventually. And now you have an upcoming draft coming with a lot of quarterback prospects.

So where do the Eagles sit right now?

Heading into this situation they find themselves in with Jalen Hurts, and how.

Does he fit?

Jamie, in the immediate future, it's about Jalen Hurts and his health right now, following doctor's orders, resting. and taking the medication that he's going to have to take for a couple of months here to deal with the blood clots. That's right where their heads are at this point. They're also trying to manage the 2026 season at this point.

Now you get into 2027 and beyond. He's due $ 51 million next year, which right now you've already got quarterbacks into the 60s. We're going to get a Caleb Williams deal at some point, maybe CJ Stroud. That might look like a relative bargain at some point. Now of that $ 51 million, $ 22 million in 2027 is fully guaranteed. So you might say, oh, okay, they might be locked into that.

There's also a salary cap charge as well. All the numbers, you can twist them any way you want to twist them. I will say this. The Eagles believe that Jalen Hurts is a winning quarterback. He has gotten up to the Super Bowl a couple of times. He has won the Super Bowl. He's been a Super Bowl MVP. You know how hard it is to find a quarterback in this league?

Just look around and see what everybody else is dealing with at this point or what a lot of other teams are dealing with at this point. So right now, it's about getting Jalen Hurts healthy, and I fully believe that he'll be the starting quarterback for the Eagles in 27.

Now, you get into 28.

They're starting the stockpile draft capital in 2028. So I can't give you a long-term answer when it comes to Jalen Hurts. But for right now, he has a lot of believers still inside that building and really disappointed that they didn't get to see him fully with a full cast around him in Sean Mannion's offense this season.

Mike Garofalo, you said it really well.

You know how hard it is to have a quarterback and retain one and have them be healthy and successful. There's a person in the crowd here at Stateside Live that is losing sensation in their hands because they've held Josh Allen's face up now for two and a half hours. That's how much pride you take in having a quarterback for your franchise.

So Kyle, I ask you this. There is.

I mean, you do that for that man. He stands up for your city. You stand up for him and you hold his face up for an opponent.

He's not even in town.

Kyle.

Jalen Hurts, though, his future, his legacy. Where do you stand right now with the Eagles quarterback?

Well, things change fast, especially in this city. I got very nostalgic watching that video package. I've been in that parking lot at tailgates over there when Carson Wentz was showing up, and they were doing shots to Ginger Jesus, they were calling him.

You guys remember?

Yeah.

You guys are like, yeah, we were doing it.

I was doing it with you. He was the future.

He was the president. He was the MVP. He goes down in the L.A. Coliseum and in some ways never really got back up. Listen, we can all say here and we can say Jalen Hurts has been to the Super Bowl twice.

And it's true. There are people, and I don't think it's a straw man. I've seen them online. I've heard them on the radio.

There's a radical group of people out there saying that Jalen's played his.

Last game as an Eagle.

I'm telling you, whether or not you agree with that opinion, whether or not that's irresponsible, it is out there. I just try to remember like. what the Eagles have been through as an organization, as a fan base. There were a lot of years that were thin or just never really going to be there. You've got a guy who, on the biggest stage, has played his best football, and he's going through something right now. It's something really, really terrible, and we wish him the best. The idea that we're going to move on from Jalen because he's expensive, because he needs help. I think you rally around this guy.

I think you put every asset you have behind this guy. I think there are many teams in the league that would love to have this guy. Listen, if there's going to be a tectonic change with this organization- It will be the coach before the quarterback.

I will tell you that. And the coach also has the Super Bowl ring at home.

But all of this breakneck, move fast, get rid of Jalen stuff is radical, irresponsible, and in proper context, even idiotic.

And I absolutely agree. And I spoke on that earlier. When you're talking about Jalen Hurts, it's not just what he gives you on the football field in terms of throwing the ball, even though we talked about all the offensive coordinators and how difficult that is. It's about the leadership, I believe, that he gives you as that quarterback, the kind of guy that can lead you. You always know where Jalen Hurst stands. I find him to be a fascinating and an incredible young man, quite a leader. I'm praying for him all the way to get healthy and get back on the football field. I am shocked, as I said earlier, that he gets the treatment that he gets.

And not just in Philly. I'm talking about all over the National Football League. This man outplayed the best player in our league for a long time, which was Patrick Mahomes. And every time he lined up toe-to-toe, he outplayed Patrick Mahomes. You got to give him credit for that.

Yeah, when I think of Jalen Hurts, there's one word that comes to mind, and that's winner. Now, let me get some context as to why that word rings true for me with Jalen Hurts. There's a hypothetical question that is often asked to players. Would you rather win the MVP or be a Super Bowl champ? And Jalen Hurts, I know, will say, I'd rather be a Super Bowl champ ten.

Times out of ten.

He doesn't have to be the reason. He just wants to win. And that's so rare for a quarterback, especially a franchise quarterback, to be the guy that says, I'm okay with not throwing for 100 yards. I'm okay with not needing to rush for 100 yards. As long as we're winning at the end of this game. That's all that matters to me. I go back to last year when they're playing the Chiefs and there's an infamous interaction with him and Chris Jones. And Chris Jones says, you don't even have 100 yards. And Jalen Hurts responds to him, but we won the game. That's all that matters to Jalen.

And he's willing to be whatever and wherever to be the winning quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles.

Let me push back a little bit on that. We are in a world of fantasy football and all of these things. Where people really, the idea of you won. Yeah, you won Super Bowl, but you didn't do good for my fantasy team. Who gives a damn about your fantasy team? You know what I mean? But that's what he has to deal with. And I find it absolutely incredible the way he's been treated.

I feel like I'm in the unfortunate position as the last person to go on this panel.

Can you do it though, Seth?

Can I fight?

I mean, the only thing I say is to push back on it is we don't know.

Right?

There's the mystery of is Jalen Hurts going to be healthy and ready to contribute next season? So you have to start planning from a contingency standpoint. I think absolutely if you're the Eagles, you've got to put all the chips in on him, but you have to back out a little bit because you just don't know what's his health going to be long term. So I'm not saying like we need to have questions about him as the leader if he is healthy and ready to go. I'm saying we need to have a plan in place in case he is not And maybe he just makes the decision on his own. Maybe it's not a health issue.

Maybe he says, look, there are some things that are just bigger than football, and I'm not going to come back and put myself in a situation where something could go wrong. I don't want to take overseas flights. Look, we avoided disaster with this blood clot situation. So maybe he just doesn't want to put himself in that situation again and more respect to him if that's the case.

And if you're at Eagles franchise, you still got to start quarterback.

Next season.

So you've got to have some sort of contingency plan in place.

That's the only pushback I.

Got because I love the dude and I think he's a starting quarterback.

You just took it out of a football conversation and into a health one, which is very real.

And it's a tragic one at best. And again, there's so much speculation.

About this situation with his health and what he can and can't do in the future. But what has been put on tape is that, as we can all agree and attest to at this table, He is a champion.

He is a winner.

And he leads this franchise through and through. Now, Irv, you've been sitting here. This is our final 30 minutes with you here on GMFB. You have history with this city, with the team that's in town to play them. You yourself beat the Eagles twice.

In the 90s in 1992 on your way.

To a divisional game. You had six catches, 88 yards. It's a perfect round number. When you look at this rivalry and you know how much emotion comes into it, and it goes even farther back beyond the 90s, What does this matchup really mean to you, and why does it hit so different?

Well, honestly, it was the Eagles that we felt when we were coming up that we had to somehow. get to a place where we can overcome. The Eagles scared the hell out of us when they had our men, Reggie White, Jerome Brown, Clyde Simmons. That was a defensive line straight from hell. I saw offensive linemen say, I am hurt today. Like, where are you hurt? Somewhere in here.

I'm just not playing. You know what I mean? And getting over the hump of saying, When we finally said we can beat the Eagles, that's when we finally got the confidence that we can go win a Super Bowl. There's no rivalry bigger. There's no rivalry with more hatred on that football field than the Dallas Cowboys and the Philadelphia Eagles. And I'll be looking forward to seeing that tonight.

Somehow he was able to be respectful and despise them all at once.

I love it.

TV pro.

It is true.

We've had Jeremiah Trotter come on the show.

We're waiting for Brandon Graham to come on.

Oh, look at that.

We have the Philly Fanatic here.

There he is.

The Fanatic has showed up.

Hey, you know what I love about that Philly Fanatic?

What?

I want you to look. Hey, bring him on in here.

Oh, no.

Come here, Fanatic. Bring that Philly fanatic in here. Let me show y'all something. They tried to tell me something one day. I was like, oh my God. I stood up under that Philly sign.

This way, this way.

The best thing, the best thing about this Philly fanatic, let me show y'all, look closely. Them two cowboy stars right there.

That's it, baby.

That's it. Those two cowboy stars.

Even he's wearing those cowboy stars.

I can't believe you wear that.

Philly Fanatic, don't turn around and show them what's on the back either.

Y'all see them two stars. Y'all see them two stars.

Game ball goes to the Fanatic who came on GMFB early in the morning while the World Series is still going on this week.

Look, he's going to take Irv's chair. All right, we got game balls next on GMFB.

Wow.

The Fanatic has shown up.

What are you?

We got food at the end.

Of this hour.

We got Brandon Graham still coming on the show.

We got one hour left here. GMFB at State 5-5. He's choking out the Fanatic.

Good morning football.

We're back on GMFB at Stateside Live. I know that's Delaware River, but I also just want to say the word Schuylkill because I love the Schuylkill River. Just don't swim in it. What's happening, everybody?

We're going to, well, I can't give it to you because we have to do, I know, maybe eventually.

We'll make a deal, okay? We're going to do game balls on GMFB, all right?

The Philly fanatic already gets one because he's still breathing after Michael Irvin had him in a headlock before we went to commercial break.

Thank you to the fanatic for being here. Guys, game ball. Who wants to go up first?

Here we go.

Red basket.

Here we go.

All right, game ball.

Former teammate of mine at Notre Dame, the greatest university, Irv, in the history.

Of the world.

Yesterday, Minnesota Vikings Harrison Smith got a game-sealing pick to seal the deal.

That was his 40th interception of his career.

He joins very, very small list of defenders that have 40 interception, 20 sacks. That list is Charles Woodson, Hall of Famer, Rondé Barber, Hall of Famer. If you watch Harrison Smith on this interception, intercepts the ball, and he plants the ball.

On the 40-yard line.

How fitting that was for Harrison, the hitman Smith, game ball to my former teammate, one of the greats.

Very excellent.

Is it true that Rondé and Harrison were hanging out in the offseason and Rondé was the one that told them to.

Go back to play?

Yeah, most likely.

This is how much Philadelphia dislikes the Cowboys.

Somebody in this.

Crowd wants me to stomp Michael Irvin.

And you know what? This is my first time working with Mike. I ain't gonna do it, man. I ain't gonna do it. I love Irv, man. I love him. I love him. I love what's not to love about this man. I get it. You know, he's a Dallas guy, but come on now. Come on. I love you too. All love here too.

All love here.

My game ball though. I'm staying on defense. It's none of these teams. I'm going to the dark side. D Seattle last night. Again, everybody writing these guys off. Say they lost a step. They're not the same team.

That won the Superbowl the last year. Not in their house.

Kenneth Walker III came in, said he was going to get all of his yards. He didn't get nothing. He got shut down. This defense looked like it's back on track. Seattle looks like a favorite in the NFC.

One more time.

What a game.

It's a good pick. It's a good pick.

That person spent a lot of time on that poster, and you just shredded their hopes and dreams.

It's all right. It's all right. There's still a lot of love here. A lot of love here. I had to. I had to.

I had to.

And since I'm... Hanging out with these guys over here in this dirty corner. Dirty corner. With these dirty birds. With these dirty birds. But let me tell you. Who I'm giving it. You guys talk defense. I'm going to stay on that side of the ball, man. And I'm going to give this football to Brian Flores.

Nice.

D.C.

For the Minnesota Vikings. The last remaining undefeated team. And this defense right now has been incredible. I look at it like the 85 bears of defense that set the tone. And now what you're watching is all other teams around the league trying to steal this great defense that the Minnesota Vikings are putting on the NFL right now. Brian Flores, I don't know if they'll give you a chance at another head coach, but you certainly have earned it, my brother.

You are my game ball.

I like it, Mike.

Kb you're up i'll get it next yeah you.

Want to know what's kind of cool and kind of crazy the browns keep winning the cleveland browns are in first place guys and it is not early we're almost damn till november and we have always loved one of their rookies one of their rookie wide.

Receiver casey concepcion.

My guy went off yesterday all right eight catches for 125 yards in the first half.

The last rookie receiver who did that, Odell Beckham Jr. You guys know him.

Odell Beckham Jr. on the Giants as a rookie was incredible. This guy's been a real lovable figure, KC. He's starting to play ball slowly and steadily. Explosive as hell. I've always loved him on our show. We had him on coming out of the combine. He was super cool. Cleveland Browns decided to take him. I don't know what we expected the Browns to do squat this season.

Including me.

They are a first-place team looking down on the Steelers, looking down on the Ravens and the Bengals, and that rookie wide receiver is a big part of it.

KC!

Concepcion, fun name to say, fun guy to watch play.

That's my game ball, Jamie Rudolph.

Thank you very much, Kyle.

You know, Kyle, you know, one of the hardest segments in television is trying to make good television with a mascot.

Mascots that don't make noise.

It's a very tricky deal. The Fanatic has a, this is perfect. What's this little doodad you got going on here? Your tongue that pops out like a party favor?

Come on, let's go. Let's see it, Fanatic. Come on.

Come on, show it.

That's not what.

I was asking for. I was going to do.

A whole segment about if you think the Eagles are going to win, stick your tongue out.

And I'm not appreciating the fact.

That you're so forward. What have you done?

You're not even in the playoffs anymore. You did that impressive.

Come on. It's true. We got a bunch of heels.

Kyle's about to come up here and defend my honor.

I was, I was.

We're going to call HR.

Come here. So Michael Irvin pointed out that there's- $ 2 cowboy stars. Well, that's because there's always cowboy stars around a couple of L's.

That's how it works.

Ah!

He gone!

He gone!

Thank you for coming!

Oh, no.

That's all he's got.

Thank you, Fanatic.

Thanks for being here. Hey, it's time for whose score is presented by DraftKings.

Let's look at some anytime touchdown odds for tonight's Cowboys-Eagles game.

Javante Williams has eight touchdowns so far this season. Will he do it again?

Well, he's at minus 160 to score this one. CeeDee Lamb is at plus 120, while his fellow wide receiver, George Pickens, who has a lot of responsibility on.

The field, is at plus 165.

And Eagles wide receiver Darius Cooper sits at plus 245 to find the end zone.

New Sportsbook customers bet $ 5.

They get $ 200 in bonus bets. Just download the app and use the promo code GMFB when you sign up. We're live here on GMFB at Stateside Live ahead of Cowboys Eagles. Mike Garofalo, what do we need to know about the Eagles side of things injury-wise.

Before tonight's game?

Saquon Barkley looking like he is going to make his return to the Eagles backfield after missing a couple of games with that hamstring injury.

Yes, why not cheer about that?

Here's the bad news. Devontae Smith not going to play. He was ruled out. It's been a little bit of an in-and-out game with both of these guys. They both haven't been on the field together since week three, the Chicago Bears.

Monday night game.

But Saquon Barkley, as long as everything goes right today, will be back in the backfield for the Eagles tonight. He and Tanner McKee are really close, which is not to say that he's not close with Jalen Hurts, but he and Tanner McKee are really close. He wants to be out there to help McKee as much as he possibly can.

They'll see about Smith here. They're going to have.

To manage this hamstring maybe for the short term. The hope is that at some point he puts it behind him, but not there.

Just yet.

And with that, Jamie, we're going to close the second floor news bureau here.

I am coming down there.

I feel like I'm a little bit overdressed.

So maybe I'll just smear some whiz and fried onions on me and maybe some water ice as well.

And then come down there and join you guys.

Mike G. We can't wait for you to join us.

Thank you for representing up in the news bureau and all of the various schools that you graduated from and from in the Philly, South Jersey area. Mike Garofalo, thank you very much. We're going to play a little game here on GMFB. I have a stack of stickers. I have four characters here on GMFB today. And we're looking at tonight's matchup, okay? They're both two and four teams, but let's ignore the numbers. And we're going to vote, and I will put these stickers on. And wherever your vote lies, we're going to tally them up.

Quarterback, run game, pass catchers, defense. You got it. All the way down to intangibles and define that as you wish.

Do it with your brain, not your heart. Okay.

I'm all heart.

Do it with your brain, not your heart. And with the game tape, okay? And if we let the fanatic maybe play at the end, too. All right, Manti, go ahead.

Quarterback, what's your vote?

Well, obviously, with Tanner McKee being in there, you got to go with Dak Prescott for this.

All right.

That would be a whole different conversation, but Dak Prescott's got my vote.

Jamie, I just want Michael Irvin to say the name of the starting quarterback.

We cannot go with McGee here.

Oh, man.

He is not the key. Hey, but what if— With the brain, with the brain, with the brain.

I'm just saying, what if we get a Case Keenum situation?

You know what I mean?

What if we get a case?

We don't got Ben Johnson, buddy. No, get him. Come on, put him over there. Come on. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Kyle.

Eagles fans.

You're wearing a McKee jersey and you go with that?

I mean, yeah. I got.

We'll get some of the other categories. Okay, here we go. Yes, yes, yes.

Run game, run game.

I mean, Dak lost to Jalen Daniels a couple weeks ago, so I don't know.

Now, this is where it gets good.

Now, the running backs, we're not talking about what you hoped him to be, what you want him to be, or what he was a year ago or two years ago. We're talking about right now.

Got it.

Right now. And yours just got, he hadn't even been playing. So I know you can't say right now. Right now, Javante gets this. Right now.

He hadn't even been playing.

Got it.

That's true.

It is true.

Saquon hadn't even been playing. Irv, it's true.

I mean, Saquon has had a whole bunch of injuries, and it hasn't been consistent there. The hamstring, the neck thing. But he jumps over people backwards, Irv. I got to go with Saquon, man. You got to go. It'll be a nightmare if he gets back to his old self, Irv.

You know that.

I have enough. I got enough. We'll make it work.

I'll get a strap out here if I have to.

Philly, Philly, what do you think? Is it Saquon? It's got to be Saquon, right? Except no, I'm going with arm. Show me what you got right now. Show me what you got.

He's coming off an injury. Show me what you got right now.

Now.

That's it. That's what we got right now. Come on now. KB.

Any chance Kelsey and Lane Johnson play tonight?

No, probably not. I got to go with Javante too.

That's right.

Saquon has not looked great this year, guys. I'm sorry. We're trying to keep it professional.

When he was playing, you're right.

Go ahead, Irv. All right, pass catchers now.

Pass catchers, the pass catcher.

We don't even need to spend much time on this. We can just do this and move on. I know A.J. Brown is in New England.

Yes, he is.

So you got no shot today. You know the pass catchers. It goes to 88 and George Pickett.

Jamie, even the Eagles fans are nodding.

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

I think you can put us all over here.

Wait, any way we get the Makai Lemon breakout game, are we going to get- Maybe.

Yeah, there we go. No city, no witch.

When life hands you.

Lemons, you Makai Lemonade.

I like that sign. That's a good sign.

I'll take pass catchers, too.

That is a cool sign, though.

That is a cool sign.

That is a good sign.

All right, fine. That's the only thing.

Pass catcher.

All right, defense.

That sign's better than the whole receiving corps.

Now, this is easy. This is easy.

This is in my defense.

Oh, yeah.

Defense.

Super Bowl winning defense. Vic Fangio. You got that defensive line. You got Zach Bond. You got all... Come on now.

It's Eagles.

Defense wins championships, Eagles. Even Mike knows. Even Mike knows.

Jalen Carter. I got to give it to you.

Jalen Carter. You got to.

That boy is.

Quinnion Mitchell.

This one is so bad.

This, like, outweighs all of these. You can put those over there.

Stack them. I love them, guys. Stack them, Jamie. It's not even close.

Okay, now this becomes really, really interesting.

Does it, Jamie?

Coaching? Oh, come on now.

I want to see. Now, y'all know y'all hate Nick Sherry. You know you hate coach. You hate your coach. I saw when you were camping out at his house.

Yeah.

I saw it all. I saw it all. Saying, get him out of here. And now you're going to stand up for him?

Go ahead. What do you think, Murph?

What do you think? What do you think?

Come on, Irv. I got to give it to Coach.

I feel like I should write Irv on this sticker.

Irv.

That's amazing.

Irv is honest.

Irv is honest. I'm going to go with Nick Sirianni as well. I mean, Super Bowl winning coach.

Yes.

There's a lot of things that Shawty said in the press conferences about I do this.

I haven't heard that from Nick Ciarani.

I'm gonna go Nick.

That bothers you.

Yeah, that bothers me.

I like it.

Yeah, I mean, there's no question.

I mean, if we could put, instead of a check mark, we put a Lombardi trophy on it.

Hey!

It's right there.

Hey!

Show me something, Shawty. You gotta show me something.

All right?

Kyle, are you gonna stand up for Shawty? I'm good, I'm good. All right, here we go.

I tried, I tried.

Intangibles, define it and stamp it. Go ahead, gentlemen. Merv, you're up first. What does an intangible mean to you, to the great Michael Irvin?

It's the things you cannot see, the things that is very difficult to explain, but they are there. And I don't know that I can get with any one of these teams on intangible.

Uh-huh, I hear you.

I don't know that any one of them has any kind of intangibles going right now, to be honest with you.

I would abstain. He's going to abstain.

Wow. Wow.

That's his right.

You have the intangibles.

But it is, it's hard to say who has the intangibles right now between these two teams. I'll go, I'll go.

So intangibles to me is synonymous with instinct. And in order to have instinct, you need to have experience. And when I look at the Philadelphia Eagles, They have the most experience in the biggest games throughout history.

They've competed and they've.

Performed the best.

So I'm going to go with intangibles because they've been there, done that, and they won that. I'm going to go with Philadelphia Eagles.

That's good.

I like that too.

I mean, I did that. I understand that.

But I mean, the Dallas Cowboys have got the more talented team on offense by a landslide. It's not even close. Guys, Philly, I love y'all. I've had your back for years, but you got to understand it's not even close. CeeDee Lamb is better than your whole offense put together.

It's not even close. It's not even close.

Guys, I'm a Cowboys fan.

The Bible says the truth shall set thy free.

Absolutely.

Be free, die. I am free.

I am free to vote for the intangibles of the Philadelphia Eagles.

I say Eagles.

It's not the Cowboys, because the Eagles have a winning culture. They know what it's like. Back against the wall, they understand. We got to win now, and they got the personnel to get it done in the front office, on defense, Philadelphia.

They got the intangibles, baby.

Bring us home, KB. Bring us home. I got one word, and then I got one letter.

One word, home.

One letter, E.

F-G-M-E-S-E-O.

All day.

You know what I see on this board? I see a split decision.

We'll find out who we pick on this game at the end of GMFB. Until then, as we wait on Baited Breath, Michael Irvin, thank you for the dedication.

The best. The GOAT. Number 88.

Go see him on first take.

The best in the house.

Brandon Graham is coming on next.

Michael Irvin out.

BG in. Did you take.

Any BS from Stephen A today?

You tell him what's up.

Nothing from him.

Nothing from him, baby.

Hell yeah. Good morning, football.

We've got fans here at Stateside Live that have been fans of the Eagles and the Cowboys since those clips were taken. And then we have beautiful little babies who are here.

That already hate the Cowboys.

Oh, no.

I just got onto.

This planet and I'm already in tears.

That's a sweet baby. Get her off the camera. We don't she doesn't need that.

Look at that sweet bow, though. Listen, our next guest. on GMFB is an absolute Eagles legend. He's a two-time Super Bowl champion.

Hell yeah.

And he is the creator of one of the greatest plays in NFL history.

You guys, the man who stripped Tom Brady in.

A straight show.

Let's go, y'all.

It's Brandon Green.

Yay.

Yeah.

What's up? Good to see you, brother.

Let's go, BG.

Hell yeah.

Let's go.

Great to see you, BG.

My man. My man over there.

They have to hug it out.

You got to hug it out because- Oh, Jam, he's so powerful.

Oh, my God. He's so strong. So good to see you, brother. Good to see you, too.

Brandon, you're family to us here. We had you on Fridays last year on GMFB.

You were bringing it. Then you come off the couch. You un-retire.

You play.

And now you're back here talking ball with us.

Yes.

This rivalry in particular, why does this have so much juice to you in your playing career?

Well, you can already tell just by this juice right here.

Yeah.

And I mean, if you don't get up for this game and you play these guys twice a year, their place in our place and we're trying to we're trying to make.

Sure that we protect this house this week.

And so for me, if these guys would all that they do and this season has gone, it's been up and down because of the injuries and all these different things. But you can definitely catapult your season by getting a win against the Cowboys. And what a better time than this week, Monday night. Man, can't wait because it's going to be electric tonight.

Yeah, BG, you mentioned, man, the ups and downs. And when it's been down, it's been really down for the Philadelphia Eagles with Jalen Hurts and that terrible situation with the blood clots. I mean, he's out for the season. I know you're very close to him. Have you had the chance to talk to him, and how is he doing?

He's doing great.

Of course, he's sick about it, but at the same time, we always talk about how do you handle your heart?

And so for us, your heart is.

Spending time with your family, making sure that you're surrounded by the love right now.

And that's exactly what he's doing.

Trying to make sure he's trying to hold himself back from, you know, doing extra things that he can't do right now that you planned all offseason to do and really just watching him and supporting your team.

And I know for him, if you don't know where.

His heart is based off how he's already carried himself, I mean, he's still out here trying to figure it out to try to throw some stuff out there to help 16 and all the.

Guys on the team.

And that's when you got a great leader. And so for him, he's trying to protect himself from himself. And trying to make sure that he goes about this the right way.

You're the best to talk to Brandon because you've been there for everything, man. I mean, you were there in the LA Coliseum when Carson Wentz got down, blew out his knee.

You were on that plane for the flight home.

Yes.

The season could have been over, could have ended. And yet you had this big backup come off the bench and we know what happened next.

Tanner McKee, is he Nick Foles? We're not talking about that.

I'm just saying the Eagles now have to do what they've done before and rally around a guy off the bench.

What's the challenge and what's the payoff if you can do it?

Well, the challenge is you got to make sure you play to his strengths. Tanner is definitely not Jalen Hurts, but he is Tanner McKee. So Tanner has to go out and play his type of ball. And I know that we got the coaches and everybody in there to be able to do those things and Like I said, with Nick Foles, I thought we adjusted the playbook based off what he was strong at and what he liked.

And hopefully it does the same thing with us. And we can't look like how we did against the Panthers the first game. We got to come out and we got to keep it manageable and keep them ahead of the sticks. I think that some guys come back today, and hopefully Saquon can get that better taste in his mouth because the season hasn't gone like he wanted to.

And you got to just.

Rally around those young guys that want that opportunity, and now they finally got it. And that's where you try to support them and make sure that you, like we supported Nick Foles when he came in because everybody thought the season was over. I mean, the season is wide open. We the NFC North for this year. So I think that it's going to be fun, man. This one right here, because we got three in a row.

Talk about it.

It's going to be physical.

And hopefully we keep everybody healthy in this one because it's going to be a lot of back and forth. And I need JC and JD and all the guys in the middle to be able to impact those games. Mauro, all the guys on defense, we got to put our offense in better spots. And the special teams got to come up big for us today, too.

You know what's cool?

If you'd showed up just based on this crowd, you would think the Eagles are 7-0.

You know what I'm saying? These people. This has been a challenging season.

Yes, it has.

Losing, winning.

Lane retires. Jalen's hurt. Saquon's hurt. So, Brandon, listen, you've been through it all. Tom Brady's thrown for 500 yards in the Super Bowl. There's no way you guys could stop him. And then 55 comes out and gets that fumble, and it's a Super Bowl championship. Give the people a little reason that they should believe that this Eagles season can turn around.

Talk to the people.

Hey, it can turn around, and you've got to continue to keep believing like we do.

We come out, we believe every week.

Every week because all it takes is a situation where somebody comes in, make a play, now we back believing. We should always believe because we worked so hard during the offseason.

And why?

Just because we got a little adversity, why y'all going to turn y'all back on the team?

You know what I'm saying?

I think that we are still in position, and it's more about how you handle the hard right now. The hard of, hey, I'm up. And now I've been asking for this moment.

It's here.

So what I'm going to do with it, because you don't know what next year is going to be because we got to make sure we take care of it early and early.

We got people that have been hurt and injured.

And so I know for me, if I'm on that team as a leader, I'm in there.

Excited because nobody giving us a chance. And now we can really go out there and play.

Yeah.

Well said.

I kind of want you coaching me. I'm about to be an Eagles fan here. But it hasn't just been injuries. It's been adversity. Wayne Johnson retires this year.

You know, he's done.

You're done.

Kelsey's done. Fletcher's done.

All four only played for the Eagles. I mean, that is rare in this. Not just the NFL, but.

In all sports.

So what does that say?

What does it mean to you to be a lifer for this squad here in this city?

Man, that couldn't have happened to a better organization.

I couldn't have come to a better organization that really knew how to handle this type of personality. There were so many different ones because Fletch was different.

Kelsey was different. I mean, Lane was different.

We all brought different things, but our common goal was to go out and try to win one. And we want to together, you know, and so I think that the Eagles organization does a great job of character guys, people that comes in.

It's about ball.

Do they really love it? Because they always talk about that.

Do you really love it?

Or are you just want to benefit from what comes with playing football? And I think they get a lot of guys that love it. And of course, it ain't perfect. But majority of the guys bring those guys along that that always ain't here for that. You know, they here for a legacy.

Everybody motivation is differently.

Uh-oh.

We got good characters that meet people where they are and try to.

Bring that out of them.

Hey, if you're here for money, hey, man, that ain't gonna get you no extra money if you playing like that.

So, you know, you gotta have those good leaders.

Oh, man, look at this.

Look at this.

Hey, and this is why I'm happy.

This is why I'm happy.

You get to stop playing, and you can just have cheat days 365 now, right?

Like, you just get to eat this food. I mean, you're game, right?

Hey, I'm leaning to me right now.

Yes, you are.

But it's definitely a cheat day for me because I knew y'all was going to have something good for me.

Yes, sir.

Yes, sir.

God.

There's a cheesesteak there. We got pretzels coming on. Chicky and Pete's fries.

Yep.

Legend.

How is it, Kyle?

They doing it up right there.

Not big enough.

Do you guys want to hear a classic?

A classic GMFB inside joke before we go to our last commercial break. Someone had the audacity in a meeting room earlier to tell Kyle that he's not supposed.

To eat until he's done making his game pick.

And let's just say, you really handled direction well.

I'm going to date her even harder now.

All right.

I heard the words go, Kyle.

I don't know what I'm going to, but I'm going to 1992.

I don't even need it, Jamie.

Randall Cunningham on the turf.

Heads are soft.

Walker.

Last Monday night, home win versus Dallas. It was 31-7 in the year of our Lord, 1992, a year in which the Cowboys went on to win the Super Bowl, but that's immaterial to this clip. Look at Herschel and the Kelly Green. Spike it again on him, Herschel.

God, no.

Absolutely incredible. Who doesn't love some Randall Cunningham highlights? Even the Cowboys fans love this one. a go angry run upside the ear hole 31 to 7 an absolute destruction on the astro turf that's another angry run we should send them some scepters anyway beautiful day for the eagles and we're going to do some game picks right now folks let's do it.

Shout out for a couple of food items we've already consumed and they're gone the crab fries and chickies and pizza a 10 the pizza was from lorenzo's a 10 the cheesesteaks were from geno's naturally And would you look at what Philly Pretzel.

Factory did for us, you guys.

It's pretzels in likeness of the cast on GMFB. The poppy seeds create a beautiful facial hair feature for Manti Teo.

The poppy seeds are used for the bun.

Oh, the bun, beautiful.

Irv, we get to, I'm going to throw, I'm going to frisbee Irv's pretzel into the crowd here.

You got a BG pretzel.

Amazing.

Philly Pretzel Factory.

I'm up first. Okay.

I know you all know where I'm from, but my mom went to Archbishop Wood. My uncle coaches at Lansdale Catholic. My dad went to Drexel. Medical School, and I got uncles who went to Penn State. The Eagles are going to win tonight over the Cowboys.

Wow.

Got the Eagles, Jamie?

It's going to be a tough one.

It's going to be a tough one.

The Cowboys offense, I know they haven't been clicking the past couple games, but they got the opportunity to put like 50 points on the board.

However....

Defense wins championships and the Eagles defense has won a championship.

For them two years ago. Vic Fangio and them boys will be ready to play.

And something about adversity is it brings people together.

I got the Eagles.

Yes.

Hey, if we keep it manageable, We're going to win because at the same time, we've been in every game that we've played.

People counted us out.

But, man, if you can't get up for this one, man, you're in the wrong sport.

This is the one right here. This is the one that I want.

I love it.

We got to make him sad today.

We got to make him cry. We got to cry today.

I'm going with the birds.

That is not very brotherly.

I just want both teams to have fun and be safe today.

I will say this, though.

Jeffrey Lurie, the Eagles owner, going into the Hall of Fame, and he sent a message out to Eagles fans earlier today.

Listen, let's hear it for your.

Owner, because.

You can look around the league.

Not a lot of organizations are run the way that the Eagles are run, so Jeffrey Lurie's done a great job of putting this team in a position to be successful. I also am anointing myself a member of my Hall of Fame in my house.

I love it.

There it goes.

That's freaking Rollins.

Guys.

I love the city of Philadelphia.

I main evented WrestleMania against Dwayne The Rock Johnson right over there at the link where the Eagles are going to take on the Cowboys tonight, Monday Night Football.

I love it. I can't wait for it. And Philly, let me tell you this.

Oh, no.

The Dallas Cowboys are.

Going to dominate the Philadelphia Eagles tonight.

Oh, no. City land.

Y'all got me sitting next to you.

It's going to happen.

A breakout knife Dak Prescott gonna throw for 14 E's Philly is done they are done bottom of the barrel.

In the NFC here's my response to Seth Rollins I'm gonna quote the words of a famous Philadelphian if you can change and I can change.

Everybody can change.

Philadelphia gets the win tonight.

Let's go. Everybody can change.

Where's my briefcase?

Everybody can change.

Stateside Live, thank you for having us.

It's good to see you.

Oh, I'm ready.
