Hello gorgeous it's lala kent welcome to untraditionally lala you want to intro us no okay hello my loves welcome back to another episode of an unlikely affair i am here with my heartbeat hello amber hello my love Are you sick of me yet? No. Because, you know, when you lived in Montana, there was the distance. But now it's like, I'm skipping a jump away. You're not kidding.

We're so close. I love it.

You do?

Yes. I'm so happy. We work out together. We podcast together. We midday matcha together. We do it all. Love a good midday match. People have been asking so many questions about our obsessions, whether it's TV shows, music, skin care. So I thought that that would be like a cute little episode for us to do today. What are we watching?

Can I tell you what I'm fascinated by right now? What? Is every time I talk to you, you've told me a new reality show that you've started. And I'm like, who is this person I'm talking to? I know. She's like talking about the appreciation for how different reality shows are shot, what storylines are captured. Yeah, it's true.

I'm really obsessed with watching reality. And it's, it takes a lot for me to find like a good scripted show and they're out there, but at the end of the day, and you probably got like, gave me that little hook because you know, when I was coming out here to LA, we was like either friends or Seinfeld at night.

Yeah. And so having that, like that noise in the background.

Is, kind of like it I know it is nice it is so nice but so yeah I think one of my obsessions right now is oh.

Fuck me I can't believe I'm even saying this is reality I know I know who am I who am I well I because obviously we we can't share what's to come but I told Amber because of what's to come you know you you need to you need to watch a little bit of reality tv just to you know see get the vibe get the vibe and also everyone's formula is so different like Hulu shows, reality shows, they're like newer to the reality game, but it's such a different vibe than like what Bravo makes. Um, so can you tell me what your favorite one is that you've watched or been watching?

Well, so I started with Love Thy Nader and then you're like, okay, I want you to watch something else.

And I was like, okay, I'm not ready to watch Housewives. And then can I ask you something? Yes. Why did you feel like you weren't ready for Housewives? It just felt like a little too... Toxic. Like dramatic. Like I'm not ready for that good... Although it's funny. I do love.

Like I'm really interested in watching Salt Lake City because I've heard it from you and I heard it from so many other people.

People are obsessed with... With Salt Lake City. I know. And I feel like it's not, it's weird.

I'm not from Salt Lake, but I feel like the whole growing up Mormon and that whole environment, I just feel like Salt Lake City is my kind of.

Real housewives in a way. Yeah.

And I also love Atlanta because the girls there are just, they're just so, I mean, it's reality.

Well, they're authentic. Yeah. It's, they're not performing.

And that's the kind of reality I want to watch. I want to watch the reality that it's not a performative reality show.

It's not like cameras are up. Okay. Let's be like over the top.

It's real life situations happening and they're just, there's almost in a way, no self-awareness that makes good television. Oh yeah.

It's brilliant. I will say for everyone raved about Salt Lake when it first came out. And I was like, I feel like it's, it's good, but like, they're obviously very aware that there are cameras around and have obviously seen housewives before. And maybe they're trying to just like implement things that they've seen on TV into their own show.

The past— I think they were on season seven. The past, like, three seasons, they've crushed. And I think it's because Jen Shaw left. And so— and she was a huge, like, piece of the drama. And you couldn't rely on that anymore. So it was like, we all have to be, you know, we have to be in it. And we have to share every thought and everything that's going on in our lives.

This last episode that they aired, which was the first episode of the new season— in my opinion, was the greatest first episode of reality TV, maybe even the greatest episode of reality TV, I think, ever made. Wow. Ever made. That's a huge statement coming from you. Yes. Because you watch a lot of fucking reality. The women crushed it.

The production team crushed it. It was a flawless episode. Okay. Okay.

So do you think that if I start watching, how many seasons deep is Salt Lake City?

I think seven. Oh my God. I got so much to catch up on. I know. I can't believe it's already been seven years. They announced it the very first BravoCon. And I remember Andy rolled up on me and he was like, big news is coming today. You're going to die. And I was like, you have to tell me. I can't wait. And he was like, the new season is going to be Salt Lake. And Katie and I, because Katie's, she's not from Salt Lake, but she's You know, from Utah.

And we just thought this was, like, the greatest thing ever. And how many episodes per season? I think the first— Is it, like, more than 15? I think the baseline for any Bravo show is around, like, 10 to 15 episodes. Okay. I think In the City got 10, right? Okay, so let's talk about In the City. Oh, In the City is great.

Because I went from Love Thy Nature to— then you said watch In the City.

And I— love, love. Like I'm like fangirling. It's so good. All that entire cast. Yeah. They're great. So good. Yeah. And the way, cause I think for, for you to like soft launch you in like love thy nadir, I did not watch. I think I watched like the first episode and I just think Bravo knows how to make reality TV shows better than anybody else on the planet.

They like are It's the original, right? Yeah. I think MTV like started those competition shows and the ones where they lived in the house together. What was it called again? Real World. And I watched it. Yes, Real World. But now they've brought Baskin on to Love Thy Neater, which I think is a great call. But I'm like, what will Amber enjoy where it's not super intense, but gives you a feel for like the shows that Bravo makes?

And when you called me and told me you were obsessed with In the City, it's so aesthetically pleasing. The storylines are relatable. I mean, Lindsay Hubs is just like an OG of making reality TV. She's so good. I fucking love that you like reality. It's my most favorite topic is talking about reality TV. Well, just wait.

I'm going to start Real Housewives and you're not going to be able to shut me up. I'm going to be calling you every two seconds going, oh my gosh.

Please watch the first episode of the new season of Salt Lake. Okay. I will. I'm going to do it today. Was that not like a fantastic episode? Like down to like the music that they chose and they capture, like they do this thing with the sky in every episode. And I really appreciate that because when you go to Salt Lake, there's something that you can feel where it's like, okay, this is like, God's town. You know, and then they show, like, the top of the temple with Moroni, like, doing his horn.

Look at you. I'm into, like, those little details of, like, things that make a city what they are. Yes. Scripted shows, you guys know that I've been re-watching Game of Thrones. I love that for you. Have you watched it? No. I just watched the one season three where he loses his hand.

Okay.

Jamie. I get so overwhelmed. They shove his hand off. His sword hand.

I get so overwhelmed when there's like a hundred seasons and I'm like, oh, I got to start from season one.

Like, and there's, and then I'm too far behind. That's so interesting because when I hear there's like seven seasons of something, I'm like, oh my gosh, I get to binge it. I don't have to wait. Like Shrinking, I always watch from the very beginning. Great pilot. Great pilot. Love that pilot. Love that pilot. So good. I was hooked from the very beginning. But then you got to wait for the next season. You got to wait for the next episode. Like, damn, I really should have started this later. Yeah. You know? I watched it when I was in Montana, was The Diplomat. Have you seen that? No, but you've been raving about this. I love it. It's so fucking— I don't know if you would like it. YNS people have been going crazy over it, too. Yes. That

one I should start. I still haven't seen Succession. I heard Succession's amazing. Succession's bomb. So good. Who has time to sit down and watch all of these shows? I watch them at night. I have to. I am so tired at night. It would actually put me to sleep. See, that's why I go to Friends, because I don't miss anything. Yeah, you know exactly what's happening. I know what's happening. Yes.

There's so many shows that I need to watch.

Also, any Taylor Sheridan show, really.

I'm like obsessed with. The Madison. The Madison? What is this?

Because Michelle Pfeiffer is just incredible. The Madison, the one that takes place in Montana. Well, he has tons of... So there's Dutton Ranch.

I haven't seen that one. I've heard that one's good, too. That's the break off of Yellowstone.

And then there's Marshalls is the new one, which I've been up for... Literally almost booked it three separate times while I was in Montana. So I definitely feel like I'm going to at some point either guest star or end up on one of his shows.

I feel like you would crush one of those shows. Thank you. Can you please like, yes. Taylor Sheridan, if you want to listen. Taylor Sheridan. Where you at, buddy? No, we need you. Book my friend. Yes.

No, I'm obsessed and I know I would crush it.

But the right role will come. You know what? The universe has a game plan for you. And if you did not book those roles, it's because they weren't supposed to be yours. No. And maybe we just tell ourselves that to make ourselves feel better, but I actually wholeheartedly believe that. Listen, I've been in this game for a long time.

I know there's always a plan, but literally every, the last year, three different times on two different shows, it's come down to me and another girl, or me and two other girls. And I'm really good friends with John Papsadera, the casting director, so it's not like, It's just finding the right role, right?

That's all it is. And timing. Timing and finding the right role. Yes. Both of those things.

I'm obsessed with anything that Taylor Sheridan does. He's just really— and his story's incredible, too, by the way.

You get a chance to listen to, like, how he was— How he started? Yeah. It's insane. Insane. The next one is, we know you've been on your fitness grind. You too, bitch. Spill your favorite ways— To stay active besides working out with a trainer. Are you joking? Sex. If I don't have a trainer... Sex is an amazing... You know what?

Sex will teach you if you're working... What you're.

Doing in the gym is actually like helping in other areas of your life.

Really? Yes. Yes. Because if you're on top... Like, you either are going to get burned out. Oh, you mean like strength and stuff? Yes. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Yeah. It's great. Mm-hmm. Oh. Oh, I love it. It's so good. It's so good. I'm so. Oh, yes. I'm like, I can't even take it. I'm like, giddy. About it? Yes.

You know what? All the time? I heard. With the right person. No, with the right person. Okay. Okay.

I mean, it takes two to tango unless I'm taking care of myself.

Then that's a different story. Yeah, that doesn't teach much. Like that doesn't show. Yeah, you don't get much feedback. Jake, we're doing good. Well, Jake's not my boyfriend, but like Jake's my trainer. I fucking love Jake. Jake is so hot and Jake is so on his shit. I mean, when I hear this man say, let's go, you've got it.

I'm like, okay. Amber's stamina is crazy. Like, the way she goes from one exercise to the other without even taking a breath. I finish our round and I'm like, I'm going to die. I'm fucking going to die. My heart's going to explode. Well, that's because you vape. Yeah, as you take a puff. By the way, that's like a crazy looking vape, by the way. It's like a computer.

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

And it has this little jelly thing on it to help with my anxiety. It's like a Hello Kitty vape. I know, which is not a good thing.

I have to tell you something that I heard London and Riley on the phone last night talking. And I almost, I didn't interject because I love that they were connecting. I forget my babies are growing up. I know, but you guys, I try to think 12. I was in the sixth grade. Is Riley in seventh grade?

Seventh. Oh, yeah. Hormones are. I guess I did now. Hormones are raging. My friends were giving hand jobs in the seventh grade. Yes.

Yes.

And smoking weed and having like wine coolers.

Yes.

I didn't. No, me neither. I was like a wiener in my hand. That sounds intimidating. That's disgusting. I'm like, why? Yeah. I don't even think I had my first kiss until the eighth grade. Oh, I know my first kiss. It was on a rooftop and it was raining. Oh, cute. Lance. My first kiss was with a much older guy. Really? Yeah.

He should have been arrested, probably. Probably. i mean 18 picking up a 14 year old yeah not cool yeah yeah not cool oh my gosh don't you think that's a little fucking weird he went to the local high school and i i don't know maybe at a football game or something i don't know but not cool little creepy that was my first kiss Oh, I'm sorry. Don't be sorry. He was really high. Did he stick his tongue down your throat? I don't think we ever made out.

It was just a peck. Yeah, I think it was just a peck. Oh, my God. Where was my mom? Where's my mom? Right? Lisa, where were you? Eating almonds. That's what she was doing. Okay, I have a question for you.

So I'm going to totally go in a different direction.

Wait, hold on. We never answered the question, though. What do you enjoy? You go hiking and play golf and stuff.

Okay, so my obsession is matcha, golf, pickleball, hiking.

Riley right now is just— she is so delicious.

I love her so much, but you know, she's, it's, it's hard, but I'm seeing her grow up and like really change. So I'm obsessed with her obsessed with you, like.

You and you, you, you reality. Okay.

Um, my mattress on the floor still, I'm obsessed with that. I'm like being on the floor right now. I feel like I'm camping every night in my room.

So you're in a dorm. Yes. Yes. Fun. Um, What else? Oh, pineapple. Obsessed with pineapple. Craving pineapple. I'm in my pineapple era. Can I please share a story? Can I share? Oh my God. Are you nervous? A little bit. So I, I have talked about this before where I taste myself before I have sex. Um, Honestly, I taste myself on a regular basis just to make sure everything's nice and right down there, right? So Amber, and I've also hooked up with women before. Amber has not hooked up with women, nor has she ever tasted herself. All good. Not a big deal. But we're driving and she says to me, That she tasted herself. Wait, this is post-gym workout, by the way. I'm a filthy motherfucker. But she's like, is

it supposed to taste it? I forgot how she explained it. But I was like, can't really remember. So I was like, permission to touch myself. She looks at me. She goes, do you mind? And I shove my hand down my pants and I taste it. And I was like, I don't really taste anything. And she was like, well, did you put it up there or just swirl? And I was like, I don't really feel comfortable fully figuring myself in front of you in the car. So no, I didn't shove it all the way in, but I'll do it when I get home and let you know. And it was such a bonding moment for us. So then I tell her, you know, pineapple is like the goat, especially for dudes. Like they got to eat some pineapple.

This bitch tells me, she's like, I did what you told me and went to Whole Foods, got an entire pineapple and finished it. She goes, I have acid reflux right now. My esophagus is burning. I was like, I don't think you need a whole pineapple in one sitting. Oh, yes, I did. Jesus Christ. It was amazing. My stomach would be on fire. I'd have cankers. Yes. Oh, that's funny.

My mouth kind of felt funny afterwards. Totally. It's so acidic. I can't give Sosa pineapple or her bum hole will burn. Oh. Yeah, she can only have like a couple pieces. Okay, well, now I'm addicted to pineapple. Well, by the way, I have jugs upon jugs of that celery pineapple juice. Oh. From Sosa's birthday party. That was so good. Well, my cookie's about to be tasting like fucking Fiji, motherfucker. Like, I'm ready to serve it to whoever wants a taste.

You know? Let's go. It was celery and pineapple, by the way. Yes, celery and pineapple. That was so good.

Yeah, it was so good. Well, thank you for sharing that very intimate story.

You're welcome. I love you. I probably should have saved it for the sex podcast, but whatever. It didn't get much juicier than that. Um, why did I share that? Because, because we were talking about pineapple. That's right. Thank you. Thank you. It felt a little, it felt a little random. Okay. Like, okay.

Start spitting out things you're obsessed with just off the top of your head. Um, friends, Seinfeld, this lip mask that I got, um, another lip mask by Laka. I'll share both of these. Um, I'm obsessed with retin-A right now. I'm obsessed with street tacos right now. I can't get enough. I'm obsessed with my children. Obviously, I'm obsessed with working out at HQ with Jake. And I'm obsessed with the fact that Bravo has finally, like... given us so many fucking shows. I don't even know what to do with myself.

All of those things I'm obsessed with. Great. Yeah. Okay, people say fall is here, which is so weird. No, it's not fall. It's too hot. Yeah, it's too hot.

But, like, if you go in the stores, there's, like, people are selling pumpkins and Halloween candy and whatever.

So, do you change.

Your wardrobe based on the season? Do you think, like, oh, my God, it's fall now, so now I'm going to go, like, buy some... Or do you just stick to what you have in your closet?

No, I feel like in Utah I would do that because... When it's fall, it feels like fall. I quite literally have to change my wardrobe. But like in LA, it's like Groundhog's Day. I know. And one day I could be sitting here in the 60s. Last week, I went to celebrate my birthday at this with Nick and Joe.

We go to this place called Castaway. It's in Burbank, up on a hill. It was so fucking hot all day long. You get up there, it's like 60 degrees. It was freezing. Oh. Freezing. Nick's over there in a tank top. He's like, Joe wanted me to wear a tank top. I'm like, did he tell you to bring a jacket? Like, you don't know. So I just keep all of my shit in the same closet and... I dress just according to the weather. Would I like to bring out my jackets? Yes. I would like to drink a hot coffee on a chilly day. I want to buy a giant scarf from Naked Wardrobe and just sit in a pile of fabric without sweating.

I want to sit in like a pile of leaves with some apple cider vinegar.

Wait, what is it called? Apple cider. My brain. I took two Advil PMs last night. You know where my mind went? Skin. I was like, yeah, me too. That's really great for the skin. I'm obsessed with skin right now. I can't get enough. Your skin looks fabulous. Well, it should because it is raw and itchy. It does look a little raw. No, I'm kidding. It's so raw. No, it does not. It's quite literal. It's like a raw piece of chicken right now. It hurts. Just, no, slather Aquaphor all over your face. That's what I've been doing, babe.

Aquaphor and Tubby Todd. Tubby Todd is for diaper rash, which is literally raw skin. I'm like, this is going to be great for my raw skin. Apple cider vinegar mixed with the Aztec mask. You should do that and sit in a pile of leaves. Sounds lit. Do you decorate your homes for the season? How do you make your space feel extra cozy for the fall? Just a nice candle. Just give me a good... That's it? That's it.

That's it. Happy Halloween. Apple spice candle. Merry Christmas pine needle candle. Whatever the fuck it is. Cinnamon candle. No, I'm not like a big... You know, when the kids were little, I used to decorate like crazy. But now that they're older, I'm not great. You know who's great is my mom. My mom.

decorates for every freaking month of the year. And like does like a whole thing in her house in Montana.

It is so... Or Nebraska. It's so cute. That's like such a mom thing. I feel like my mom, every single holiday, it felt like the holiday threw up in my house. Yes. That's how my mom is. I know. I'm like, can you get it together and do it here? Yeah. Like, where's my table, entry table full of Santa Claus? Here's the thing. I will.

I like decorating, but when it's over and putting it away, it also just reminds me that time is passing.

Amber, don't do that to me. Don't do that to me. Get time out of the equation. I will be on the floor sobbing. I know, but it's true. It's like I am anticipating.

So from October to December, the months obviously go by so fast. I'm thinking like, I just want to be in the present moment. I just need to live. I need to put my phone down and I need to be here.

That's it. That's my goal for the next, the last quarter of 2026. I feel the same way. But can I tell you, I want to do it for my kids. Like I want to make sure that during Halloween, it's like, oh my gosh, there's ghosts and goblins all over this house. Like I want Ocean to come home and be like her mind blown. See, here's the thing. Halloween's not— I don't love Halloween.

Like, I love Christmas. I'll decorate for Christmas. Not a huge Thanksgiving fan.

I'm not a Grinch. But I love Christmas and New Year's. What about Thanksgiving do you not like? It's like the Christmas Eve of the holiday season. That is true. I'll have to tell you.

I think what it is for me is everyone else has their families. And the idea of having a mom and a dad and cousins over, I don't have that.

I get that.

And it just makes me really sad. It's like I'm reminded of what I wanted and what I don't have right now.

Doesn't mean I'm not going to have it in the future, right? Right.

But it just makes me feel a little sad. And I think people who are single moms or live really far from their family or whatever their case is, there's just something that is it's just saddening to me yeah and also I love Mexican food I don't love Thanksgiving food like I don't love turkey I don't love like I don't love that stuff.

I do understand because I think when you think about these families who are they they just decided to grow up stay where they you know, lived and grew up in. And then it's easy to get together with your family because you, you do, it's like copy and paste. Right. Every generation. Exactly. You and I decided at a very young age, you very, very young to move and chase a dream. So we were always going to be far away from our families. And then you add into the mix, you know, the cookie cutter life that you thought you would have in LA with a husband and your children under one roof. And like, maybe all of you travel to where you're Parents are, it just, it shattered. And I understand that. I'm grateful that I have my mom

and my brother, but I hope you know that like, I know we're not your blood family, but for Thanksgiving, I already told you, like, let's make the plan. Let's, let's jump in the car. Let's go celebrate in Palm Springs. You have a place to stay. You have a bed, you have a bathroom. You've got, you know, us to, to love on you. If you can't make it back to your family. I do understand like nothing's going to make that better. No, no, no. You watch those movies and I crave that where I'm like all the cousins and.

Oh my God, like Home.

Alone when they're rushing out on Christmas Eve to go on the trip. I was like, yes, that is the chaos that I've always wanted.

I want to be so chaotic that I forget a child at home. What the fuck? That's all I want. You're like, oh shit, Ocean, where is she? You know, Ocean would be like, mom. She would be calling herself an Uber. LAX. She's not missing that vacation. Are we spending Thanksgiving together? Yeah, I think we are. Yeah. I think we are. I will confirm this week. But yes, I will bring some sort of Mexican dish that kind of has turkey and gravy in it. A turkey taco.

Turkey tacos. I love that. I love it too.

Last time I made a turkey, by the way, I accidentally left all the intestines inside in the bag and cooked it. So I don't think I should be on turkey duty. Unless I try to.

Wait, you have to remove it on your own? Yes. You have to go in there and get like. Even in a butterball turkey? I don't even know what that is. Like the mass turkey company, I think. Yeah, I think you have to remove the bag of... The gizzard.

Then I think of some little turkey that was roaming around, like, just living its best life on the land, and then someone killed it and then plucked the... I just don't... I'll eat it, but I don't want to do the preparation from, like, raw.

You should not be the spokesperson for Thanksgiving. That is for sure. I'm impulsed. Would you do it? No, I've never done that before. Yeah, it's disgusting. That's why I'm like, are you sure? That's it. Let's just go to Taco Bell for Thanksgiving. Taco Bell it is. Much better. Yeah. What song do you have on repeat right now? Oh, jeez. Oh. Oh.

I mean, I know what you have. Hey, Janice, shut the fuck up. Yep, Drake. That's what I have on repeat. A little Drake. You know what I love? You and Riley are really bonding over Drake right now. Riley and I are bonding over quite a lot these days. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. You guys, Riley and I were talking, and I showed her a picture of this man who is going to be my husband one day. And she goes, oh, damn.

And Ocean peeks over, and she goes, Oh, wow, mom. Oh, wow, mom. That's what Osher says to me. Yeah. We had just picked him up from the bus stop. It is unbelievable. I was like, wow, all right. I really think Riley is your child, and so says mine. Oh, my little Spanish-speaking baby. Yeah. You guys at the birthday party, everyone was telling me that when Cynthia, the angel who who takes care of Sosa when I am working, they have a play date with Cynthia's sister and the little boy she nannies. And the little boy came to the birthday with his parents. And his parents said that Sosa and their son sit there and speak to each other in Spanish at the play date. Yeah. How cute is that?

Is that not the cutest thing ever? See, that makes me want to have another baby. It's really, really cute. And then... One of the party planners came up to me and was like, I just want to say, I am so excited to be doing this birthday party because my family lives in Mexico. And they obviously watch Miss Issa.

And she was like, I called them telling them that I'm doing a Miss Issa birthday party here. My daughter is obsessed. And for those of you who don't know who Miss Issa is, she is... Like Miss Rachel, but Spanish speaking. Okay, we love Miss Issa. She is our go-to. She goes, hola, baby. And Sosa goes, Issa! Mama! Oh, and every time she sees flags, I was wearing a sweatshirt the other day that has all of the flags.

It's like from some old school Olympic games, right? The Mexican flag is right here. So somebody comes to me and goes, Mexico, mama, Mexico, Mexico, mama, Mexico. I'm like, what the fuck? I can't wait to take her to Mexico. Oh, I can't either. I want to go to, please don't, I want to be there. She is going to thrive.

She is going to thrive. She is going to be a little. My little, I'm obsessed. Yeah, she's so cute. It's so good, you guys. We had to take her to Mexico City. Oh, yeah. You should have seen her with Cynthia and the family yesterday because Cynthia's family came. They were dancing with Sosa and Sosa was Knowing all the words to a Spanish-speaking song. I'm like, I got to step my game up. I need to be able to talk to this person that is my child. This little human that I created. That is actually really funny.

That is hysterical. Aw, she's so cute. Have you seen that Kevin Hart bit where he's talking about his daughter when she's super young? He's like, I know what she's saying. you stupid bitch like and I feel like Sosa's looking at me being like you dumb hoe mass milk.

Bitch oh wait what is that little character um the the little baby that talks like that it's a cartoon.

The little baby Stewie Stewie fucking Stewie family guy yes thank you wow Stewie yes that reminds me he's like walking up and he's like The fat man. And he's like talking about his dad. Yeah. Fat man's so fucking stupid. By the way, I could watch that and fall asleep. Oh. Actually, I think I'm going to start that too. It's a damn shame that you don't get high anymore. Neither do I.

But Family Guy, stoned out of your mind, is the greatest experience ever. On like weed or mushrooms? Weed. Oh. No mushrooms, you got to be outside on the land. Yeah, I know. By feeling the earth breathe into you. See, that's my vibe. That is so my vibe. Yeah, where you're like holding the dirt and it's like pulsating and you're like, oh my God. No, it takes you to another dimension. But it's still, you're still in control. What is the point of this episode? I love it. I love it. It's a, yeah, smorgasbord. We call this, that should be the name of it. What's one little luxury or indulgence you're obsessed with lately? Something totally unnecessary that makes you happy. Something unnecessary that makes me happy? I

feel like everything is necessary. Everything is necessary. But I have to tell you guys, there's this perfume that I've become obsessed with. completely obsessed with when i was dealing with this perfume i know i gotta look it up real quick x nihilo i think is what it's called it is the greatest thing you'll ever smell in your fucking life i think this is the one i have.

Oh you know what while you're looking at that yeah my new eyebrow pencil i would say i'm oh that's a great one the one that i showed you this morning that's not.

Really breaking the bank though is it No. Oh, it's supposed to be breaking the bank? I don't think it has to. I mean, I just, I don't feel like there's unnecessary things that I spend money on. Like the other day I spent 400 on a facial. Yeah. I don't feel like that's unnecessary though. And I haven't had a facial in like a couple years. Well, if you break that down per month, that actually makes sense. That's what I do now. If I'm buying something that's really big, I'm like, okay, over the next 12 months, this is what it would be. This is what it would cost me each month. Well, then I start having a panic attack. Oh, really?

Like when it starts being a monthly thing. Yeah, I feel like $ 400 every month on a facial is unnecessary.

I just went to Target yesterday and I spent $ 375 and I'm like, I don't even know what I bought.

I don't even know what I bought. Target's crazy. The Ex Nihilo. The greatest perfume ever. Really? And it's around $ 500, but it is... I went in there during like massive heartbreak. You know who I'm talking about. And I was like, this, the smell in here is incredible. And the woman sprayed it on me and she said, I was like, I love it. I want it. And she goes, this is what I think you should do. And it's not like I was sitting here like back and forth. I just said, I love it. I want it because I was like just sad and I needed to fill the hole, which is, you know, buying something. Um, She was like, wear it for the day. If you can't stop thinking about it, that's when you know that it's a perfume you have

to have. Oh, I love that trick. Yes. And I was like, this woman's like the greatest salesman ever. And in that moment, I was like connected to her. I felt like she saw me being heartbroken and didn't want me to be impulsive. Because do you ever buy a perfume and you love it in the moment? And then after a while, you're like, I fucking hate this smell.

And I'm just wearing it to get rid of it. Oh, see, I don't do, I'm not a big perfume. I don't buy a lot of perfume. I love a good perfume. There are two scents that I'm obsessed with. This is one of them. And then Purette, which is an oil that is to die for. But in that moment, too, I told her, I'm like, there's a really hot guy that works here. Here's my phone number. Have him text me or call me. And here's my Instagram so we can, like, make sure he's not— And now, that is Mallman. I love Mallman. And we went to the mall, and we were stalking him the other day. I'm kidding. Remember, we're sitting out eating Wetzel pretzel on the couch? Yes! Yes!

I do. You're like, look to see if he's working. Because I wanted to see what mall man looked like. Mall man is fucking hot. Okay. I mean, he is a real snack. A what? A real snack. He's a whole snack. Oh, a snack. A snack. Anyway, there's my unnecessary obsession. $ 500 perfume. But it lasts forever. And with the $ 500 bottle, you also get... Oh, a travel size thing.

A travel size. That's right. And by the way, I love that.

I only have one perfume that I wear, and I usually only wear it when I'm like going on date night or something.

I'm not a huge perfume fan. They say it's not good to put on your skin. Oh, God. Well, it's true. That's why you don't wear it all the time. That's why I don't like deodorant. Like, my hand is fucking hot. Wait, let me see. I don't know about that. He's, he's, he's. He is so cute. We'll ask Riley. Riley's going to be obsessed with them. I'll tell you that much. Don't you come from all man, bitch. Is there something TikTok or Instagram influenced you to buy that surprisingly lived up to the hype?

Oh, I got this new golf outfit and tennis outfit from a TikTok shop.

And you love it?

Speaker 1:

.

Yes, I actually love it and the quality is great and it's good for tennis or pickleball or golf.

Is it like a skirt? Yes, it's the blue. Oh, that's cute. It's blue. Oh, you wore it and posted. Yes. You should have done a link. I'm obsessed. I'll do a link. Do a link. I'm obsessed and they have really, really cute colors. So. These are the ones that I... So the Laka, L-A-K-A, it's a soothing prep lip mask.

It's amazing. You put it on, leave it there for a minute, and then you just roll it off. And then I pair it with... Tocobo. T-O-C-O-B-O. Is this Korean skincare? Absolutely. No, this is the lip one you bought the other day when we were at the mall. Oh, my God. You're still obsessed with it? Oh, my God. I can't get enough. Okay.

I had to buy it. I'm on my second jar. Really? Yes. It's like between that and my Retin-A, it's a real problem. Yeah. I told myself I'm going to do one more round of Retin-A, which means just like one night before— We start something. Three nights later, I've done it. And I'm like, I'm going to be a peely mess by the time we start. You're obsessed. Does it look okay, though? My skin feels really nice. It looks fabulous. Okay, good. Your skin looks great. You know what I love that you introduced me to is that lampshade. skin. Face polish. The face polish. That is amazing.

So I just started out on Amazon. I found like the three little tubes. I didn't buy the big tube.

And it's good for traveling. As well. I'm obsessed with that. When it comes with the face wash, the scrub. Yes, and the face oil. Oh. So when I use it, I, and.

I don't love harsh things on my skin because it will, you know, my skin's so fair, but it.

Makes my skin feel good. I can't even tell you. It's amazing. I'm addicted to that. I would, I would do it.

I'm like, you have to slow down cause you're going to make your face raw, but it's dude on my hands.

Cause it's just.

Coarse enough where like you actually feel like it's working. I don't like those face scrubs that are like, there's nothing in there.

Nothing there. It's like basically an oil with little tiny beads. I'm like, this is not exfoliating. That Lancer brand is fantastic. Did you use St. Ives apricot scrub when you were younger? Yes. But when I was younger, I stopped using it maybe like five years ago. You stopped using it the moment you found Lancer? Yes. But I'm telling you, that shit, I loved that stuff. Yes. Yes. But the Lancer is like very fine. So it doesn't, I felt like St. Ives, even though it was amazing, it was like before its time, right? Yeah.

Where I think the things were a little rigid. Yeah. A little too, like, razor sharp. A little bit. Like, little razors. Slices. Does my face look good as you have, like, cat marks all over your face? Yes. Lancer is, like, actual, like, very tiny. It feels like a polish. Yeah. It's like grains, but with polish in it. That's why it's called a skin polish. Ah, bingo. There we go. Oh, we know you're both obsessed with each other. What's your favorite thing about one another? This is a cute one to end it on. Did I make sense just now?

Yes.

This is a cute one to end it on. Yeah, that makes sense.

Your English is muy bueno. This hit me yesterday in the kitchen. I don't know what I said, but it was something to do.

Oh, when I was talking about the.

It wasn't an issue, just something that had been brought up with someone that I'm dating. And you were like, yes, I get it. And sometimes I have these moments with you where no one else understands our emotions. But when I see you and I clock you, it's like you're in my body and you know that exact same experience.

Right. It's very odd. And I've never really found.

a girlfriend or a friendship or anyone that has that like interconnectedness.

Before, if that makes sense. It makes total sense because I feel that exact same way where like, I feel like you know me better than anybody, which is very strange because I have friendships that I've had since the time I was like a tiny little tot, right? But just the life experiences and what we both came to LA to do and the situations we found ourselves in, And the largest part of, you know, having babies and trying to figure out who we are after something goes south. Like, we're just in sync on a cosmic level. Yeah, I feel like we're fraternal twins or something. Yeah. Fraternal? Identical. Oh, we're identical. Yeah. I'm like, I feel more in sync with you than fraternal. Identical twins. We're identical twins. And

I love you so much. Can I tell you what I appreciate so much about you is I can be... I can be exactly who I am without buffering anything. Tell you exactly how I'm feeling. I can, when you're talking, say, this is how I feel about what you're saying. And you do not get offended. And I don't know if that's because... You know my intentions with you are like always very pure. Or if you're just a tough bitch.

But I just feel like we can totally call each other out on things and nothing goes unsaid. And we're... Not we. I can taste myself in front of you in the car and feel no judgment and have you laugh about it. Like, do you really? I would never do that in front of anybody. Really? No! I adore everything about you. Thank you. I feel the same way.

Everything about you is my most favorite thing. Aw, I love you. That's so sweet. You're so welcome. I love you. You guys, thank you for listening to a very chaotic, random, and super fun episode of An Unlikely Affair. We're going to catch you guys next week. Love you. Bye. Bye. Bye. Thank you.
