Well, he can't because Victor knows. Knows, yeah. But he would go for Tamika. But we get to breakfast.

Well, can I talk about my theory on the turret? Yeah. I worked this in my brain like an AI doing multiple outcomes. The only kill.

Really?

Yes. I did like 1,000 outcomes.

Wow. How long did it take you?

It took me like five minutes.

Okay, that's pretty good. Hi. Hello. And welcome.

To.

Is this Patreon? No, it's not.

This is free.

It's free. That's what I got hung up on. I'm Dylan. That's Pat.

Nice to be here.

Hey, what's up?

What's up?

So we're here to cover Traders, New Blood. Patreon has all of our Love is Blind coverage. Love is Blind is firing. Maybe not on all cylinders.

I'm enjoying it.

We'll talk about it. There's a lot of stuff to enjoy.

There's two couples that I really feel are actually trying to.

I am literally tearing up at Michaela and Rob. I think they're... They're trying. I have never seen a couple that's actually this in love on Love is Blind before.

Or at least giving it a real shot. Wait a minute. What do you think about.

John and Sarah?

You don't think they're trying? No.

Well, I think they're trying. I just think that he's such a... All of our commentary will be at patreon.com slash another podcast network. And we're also covering Salt Lake City. The fallout of the glam kittens. The show never doesn't deliver.

All more importantly, all more importantly, is Mary Cosby has returned to the show. To sit at the head of a table to resolve some issues with the ladies about them trying to destroy each other. And she will sit at that table like she has lived a perfect life.

It's like a manager at P.F. Chang's telling you what to do with your life. He's been divorced twice. He has a serious drinking problem.

And he's asked all his employees to give him their credit cards. Right, right, right.

Quick question. Why are we listening to anything you're telling us to do right now?

Um.

You may or may not. We're not going to get into it.

You've got to listen to us behind the paywall. All right. So, traders. Also, then, after Love is Blind, we will make a triumphant return to another podcast show network. Yes, yes. Oh, my God. Do I have some fucking dirt. We have a couple with us that we're trying to separate from because I just got some dirt. One of them's a perpetual shoplifter. Yeah, yeah. Oh.

We'll get into it.

Kleptomania is a lot of fun. We've also got PMZ to get to. But today, we have to talk about episode whatever of Traders Normies. Now, if you don't mind, I would like to give brief shoulder taps and just say that every year, it seems like the two or the three of us, Ruby is off gallivanting. I think she's in Mallorca this weekend.

Mallorca.

I think she's in Mallorca this weekend.

Yeah. Huh.

So, or Pennsylvania or something. Every year, the three of us watch the show and we go, the faithfuls couldn't be worse. This is the worst group of faithfuls we've ever seen. It is confounding how dumb a group of people could possibly be. This season takes the cake. I have never seen a group of faithfuls be so bad at dumb clues, misdirection, not seeing what is plainly in front of your face, ostracizing the only person with any concrete evidence. We've got Morgan. We've got Abby. We've got Clyde.

We've got people making horrible decisions left and right. It is incredible TV. And at the end of this, we have the mysterious super secret superpower. I give this episode 70 shoulder taps.

I honestly think they just make this shit up as the show goes along. I really do.

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

All right. I'm going to jump off. How many shoulder taps?

70.

That's a pretty good thing. That's a pretty good score. Okay. I want to focus on one faithful in particular, and that is Astro Abby.

Ugh.

Because I mentioned this before, and one of our patrons glommed onto it because I had compared her to Dr.

Death.

Dr. Death was a back surgeon who fucked a bunch of people's backs up. And Dr.

John wasn't a doctor.

No, he pretended to be a doctor. Hence the confusion.

Got it.

No, Dr. Death actually got his license, but they gave it to him. They fast-tracked him because... a bunch of hospitals need back surgeons. They make a lot of money for the hospitals. Oh yeah. So rather than doing a thousand procedures to then get his license to do back surgeries.

Come paralyze some people for us.

He performed like 50 and they go, there you go, buddy. Right. And then he fucked a bunch of people's backs up and they did not take his license away. And he did not stop doing it because he had the mindset that he'll eventually figure it out. And he did it on the backs of, well, pun there, on the backs of backs. Well, Abby, obviously she's not killing anybody, but she's one of these people. Oh, she is. Oh, well, metaphorically.

Yeah.

But she's one of these people that you can tell her you've been wrong six times in a row, but that won't stop her. from being wrong one more time because she thinks she's smart. Like she fucking launched the fucking Mars Rover or something.

There is no second guessing. There is no lack of confidence. She's been wrong about every, it's kind of like, You want amnesia in like a golfer or a baseball player. Like, sure, you're in a slump. You haven't hit a fucking ball in a month, but we need you to get in that box and we need you to swing. That's exactly what Abby does. She's just wrong. I think it's Wyatt.

Based on what? When confronted with, how about you take a step back this time? She refuses. Yeah. And this is where I come in with people are good at math, science, whatever. I want to warn people because I've been on a jury before. People that are smart or experts in something like that, you'll go, well, she's smart. She knows something.

You may be book smart. You may have a fancy degree. That does not mean you are life smart. Sometimes it means the exact opposite. You're a fucking dumbass at life. She is a fucking dumbass. Do not listen to anything this person says. If anything I'm trying to do is people listening to little Patty right now or old Patty.

Do not. This is a lesson for you. People with degrees like this, don't listen to them about life. They're stupid.

Well, and you see the same thing with doctors where you go like, I know that you're brilliant. You went to school for eight years, 10 years, 50 years, however many. You've been in a classroom and in a book for the better part of a decade. You don't know what's going on out here, okay? We're fighting off concrete punchers and we're trying to extricate people from our social circles because they shoplift at Sephora too often. This is real life.

Life. Okay, yes. I want someone who's been around the block a few times on Traders. By the way, these people that are the horrible faithfuls signed up for this show. That would have me thinking they understand the game and they'd be better players.

One would hope.

Victor did exactly what every move he's making. He's at breakfast taunting Tamika. in front of her face, which I would do. He is at the round table saying, look, kill me next. If I'm wrong, kill me. He's daring them to kill him. And none of them will take the bait. None of them.

They have hopped on every dumb clue you could possibly jump on. And did I say dump? They have seized upon every dumb clue. This dumb clue, for some reason... Doesn't pass the test. We can't go off of this. Okay.

And by the way, when we get into the show, that turret and the decision that Katie, Joe, and Tamika make about who they will kill.

Right.

I'll get into it. And we should say- 40 shoulder taps.

Well, let's get into the turret because as bad as the faithful are, the- The traders are not great at this game either. No, they're horrible. Tamika does not know what the fuck is going on. And she got heat from Victor at the roundtable. So the question is, do we take Victor out tonight? There is nothing, nothing that Joe and Tamika can do to get away from their performance of the fruit thing. As we mentioned, when you try it once, cut bait, you don't get to kill anybody.

Do not keep going with this thing. There is nothing they can do to get out from under this.

Well, also worth mentioning, they are forever tied to one another. So once one of them goes down, the next domino falls. Katie is the one person that has no ties to this, except for the fact at the round table where fucking Tamika, for whatever reason.

Said Katie's name to Victor. We'll get there. I want to play this. out because when we saw the fruit thing go down, we were like, they're done. Because if you play this out, let's say they kill Victor in this turret tonight. We know they kill Mark, but let's say we're trying to mitigate this right now. We're going to kill Victor. Play the frame game, right? We say somebody's trying to frame us. The more faithfuls that get eliminated, the more heat goes on them. At some point, you got to go, we got to try them out. If they don't kill Victor, they convince people to kill him at the table, and he's revealed to be a faithful, you're in the same position. The heat is going to come to you eventually. They're dead to rights.

What you're describing here is inevitability. Tamika and Joe are done. They're just fighting off an inevitable end. They're not making it to the end.

And I think Katie can kind of see that. She sees it. Maybe it's just kind of brash vengeance at the round table because Tamika said her name. I hope that she's better than that. But we're between Mark Wyatt and Christy.

This is where, if I'm Joe, I would start immediately trying to separate myself from Tamika.

Yeah.

If you're trying to... See if you have a shot at making it really just try and separate yourself from her. Oh yeah.

If Joe was smart, he would align with Victor. Well, he can't cause Victor knows, but he would, he would go for Tamika, but we get to breakfast.

Can I, can I talk about my theory on the turret? I worked this in my brain, like an AI doing multiple outcomes. The, the only kill.

Really?

Yes. I did like a thousand outcomes. Wow.

And, uh, How long did it take you?

It took me like five minutes.

Okay, that's pretty good.

The only best shot they had was to kill him. And you actually said it in your first thoughts here, which was you kill him and you can just play the blame game. Look, someone killed him because they were trying to blame us or me, Tamika, right?

That lasts maybe, maybe two episodes.

Okay. Well, you just hope the fuck it works and then something else stupid happens and they move on, which it's your best shot. Yeah. That's it.

This house, this castle is filled with a bunch of fucking ducks eating bread right now. Okay. Just so disappointing. We get to breakfast and Morgan, Morgan, we talk about Astro Girl, who is without a doubt the worst player in this game.

Worst player.

But Morgan is... I don't want to say close, but she's climbing the ladder to be one of the worst people.

Her head shakes when he talks. Anybody brings up the idea of like, she has like, it's not passionate, but it's just like dismissive.

No. And this is what makes the dismissiveness towards Victor so just befuddling. She sees him at breakfast once again pitching the fruit thing.

Oh, that fruit thing again?

She's dismissive about it. And she says, I think it might be Victor. Now, both of those things are outrageously stupid just on their face. But then you think about Morgan had an apple thrown to her.

Isn't that ridiculous?

Joe, who does not, we don't see everything, but Joe and Morgan do not seem to be that tight. Throwing an apple to Morgan does not seem like it's within the context of the relationships of this castle, yet she is so stone-brained that she's going to go, I think it's Victor. What is going on.

In this castle? Once again, oh, and another warning to human beings listening to this podcast. Well, I think some monkeys listen too. That's why I wanted to differentiate. Yeah. Don't ever get accused of something and have a jury. These people will be weighing whether or not you're guilty.

I mean, imagine Astro Girl. So she says the people that are going to die are the people that... It's amazing how much confidence she has in this game. She sits down at breakfast and starts going, Guys, I think the people that they're going to kill are not anybody that we'd suspect. Okay, Abby. Have a hard-boiled egg, okay?

Joe heads in with Christy, Mark, and American Psycho Wyatt. And Mark, the bodybuilder, is gone. They've killed the golden doodle of the castle. And then we get to Shane. Shane is the iron worker.

That's right.

Who I thought was one of the better players. And with this.

I don't know. Well, he's quiet. He, he does one of my rules, which is be a fly on the wall. He's checked the.

First box, but he's struggling with the rest of the game. But this, I feel like this is where you start. If you've been the fly on the wall, episode five, six, that's when you come, you come off the wallpaper and you start getting into the mix. And I feel like he's doing that. This is, he's starting to kind of have some opinions on things and, you know, dare I say, get on the show. And Ben, I think he still, though, has his sights on Victor.

No, Ben has his sights on Katie.

Ben does, but Shane, I think, has his sights on Victor for some reason.

Yeah, although I don't think he votes for him at the roundtable. I'll have to look at where I wrote down his votes.

But yes, Ben, aka Cowgirl, is on Katie.

Yeah, I forgot what he noticed about her. I think it was just how she's been behaving when people walk through the door.

It's a dumb clue. She doesn't care that people are dead.

That's right. Now- There's something to be said, and again, I'll have to work this through on Patty's rules of the game, but there's something to be said about a player who essentially just puts themself out there and says, I don't care if you kill me at this point. I'm so fucking over this. It's Tamika. Kill me now.

Kill me. I don't care. He basically just puts himself out there like a naked man that's ready to be shot. Like, guys, please, if it's not Tamika... like kill me, banish me tomorrow. And I think there's something to be said about that.

Victor's only, this is very, very difficult because we've seen this in the past where the Pete Webber's and the vote whippers, they never, they never make it out because they're just too loud. So if he's right about Tamika, he'll probably get killed at some point by the traders because they, you know, they can't have him. He can't get a shield every episode.

I mean, how, Aren't we at this point reading body language? I mean, I thought, again, sorry to be skipping ahead. When Tamika at that round table, if you're anybody that can pick up on some body language and see how obvious.

She was on a high wire with no support. She was panicked, completely panicked.

I'm like, is anybody picking up on this? It's fucking crazy.

Now, the best gift the traders could possibly get is Astro Girl. And I don't even think that they really recognize how valuable she is. We break off into different pods, and we start talking about who they think could be the traders. And she, of course, pitches Wyatt based on absolutely nothing. Now, what's interesting about Astro Girl, and it's very, very rare to be She has elevated herself because she is so bad at this game. She has transcended her role as a faithful and has become a bad clue herself.

So Christie picks up on this. Sandoval has done this in the past. It's very, very rare to be this dumb and this bad at this game because Christie picks up on she can't be this stupid. She has to be a traitor because you can't be this confident about being this dumb. And we know that Astro Girl's not dumb.

She's just left-brained. She's just one of these– she's a wonk. I'm sure she could figure an equation out a lot faster than me and Pat. But me and Pat would mop the floor with her in this game. Let me tell you that.

A zombie apocalypse. Dylan and I would live. She would not.

Thank you. And that's really all that matters at the end of the day anyways, right, is the zombie apocalypse. So Christy goes, she's got to be a traitor. She's too good at sending faithfuls home. And that's when we get to Clyde, who is also an idiot. And sorry to be too harsh, but... These faithfuls are very frustrating to watch.

Is he an idiot or does he fall in the trap of Patty's rule number two, which is personal relationships? He has formed a bond with Tamika. He's fallen in the trap of number two of Tamika. She formed a real bond with him. Victor's fatal mistake in this game is no real bonds.

No, he was too preoccupied with banging the girl that got sent home initially.

And also stealing that first whatever. Shield. And so everyone hated him from jump, therefore made no friends. Everyone thought he was weird. And so no one wants to listen to him. Tamika has made friends, Clyde being one. He will not vote against her.

Well, what I thought you were going to say is, is Clyde Machiavellian here and playing 3D chess or 5D chess? I don't think he is. I think he is betraying your number three rule or whatever it is. There is no loyalty. Clyde is one of the most frustrating people. to watch this episode because he will not vote for Tamika.

He will not take Tamika down in any way, shape, or form because he's friends with her. He just goes out and says it. I'll never take... Like, bro, where are you? Look around. Take the beanie off if that helps.

Fuck.

Wyatt, thank God.

This is in the pool room?

Yeah, it says, I think Victor's right. What else do we have to go on? I think Victor might be right.

Is this where Joe is trying to feel out, see where the wind's blowing, and he chats with the boys, and I think he's feeling out like, hey, you guys want to get rid of that Victor character?

And Wyatt says something, a great defense of Victor's, and it's all Monday morning quarterbacking, and we can, you know, this can go one way or the other, but Wyatt goes, I think he's a faithful because he's playing. He's trying to do something. So, you know, traitors can do that too, but that clues Wyatt into the fact that he's probably one of them. Now, we get to the game. It's sift through scarecrows for a special power, a super secret special power, and also a super secret black heart.

No, well, it's black hearts to win some money, and also... Bags.

To win money, black hearts to eliminate people. There are four black hearts, and then whoever gets the most money, you won't know who it is, but you'll have a super secret special mystery power.

Do you ever feel that... they do have a couple scenarios where, because this is a point where producers can sway the game where they may think it might make better television because they never say what the secret power is and they do have time. They have three different powers they can introduce as they're watching the round table play out.

I think the producers of this show are very, very good at At producing the game. So I would imagine that they probably do have a couple of records.

Because why not tell us what it might be? Have Alan go, what they don't know.

Is the secret power is they get to whatever.

Kill. Yes.

Now Shane goes after Victor.

Well, yeah. Shane goes after Victor, which was weird.

Weird.

Bad play.

So disappointing. I was really excited for Shane.

Morgan kills Clyde.

Morgan is.

All over the place.

All over the place.

I was happy to see Wyatt kill Astro.

Did he kill Astro? I thought Wyatt got killed.

Oh, do I have that reversed?

Yeah, I think Astro girl killed Wyatt, which makes all the sense in the world because that's what this game is. This season. So it's, again, it's angering to see. We'll get to the roundtable in a second. And this game going into the initial conversations before roundtable, you know, without a shadow of a doubt, this is going to be another just. cut a chicken's head off, and whoever's got the most blood on them is going to go. It's like fucking insane.

It made no sense.

So we've got somebody who has won the superpower. We will not know until later. And at the round table... Well, we're back at the castle. Yes, we're back at the castle. At the round table, we'll find out who gets it. Now, Victor... Tamika and Shane.

Well, Tamika chats with Christy and Ben and floats Victor as a traitor. At this point, it's over for Tamika and banish Victor. Tamika is next. The best she can do at this point is to glom onto Astro Girl's stupid theory and ride the wave and banish Wyatt.

Well, I love this scene when Victor... Tamika just like confronts Victor. I think Tamika was the one that initiated it.

Oh, this was amazing. Okay, so... This is them talking with each other? Okay.

Very Colton versus Lisa Rinna kind of energy. But, you know, Victor has her dead to rights. And she goes, what are you doing? Why do you have so much heat on me? And he goes, well, let me ask you something. Who else is a traitor? And she's so not prepared for, like, in this game, you have to have You have to have your narratives ready. You have to have your sack of information. And you have to know, if you're suspicious about somebody, just like the producers, you've got to have redirects.

You've got to be fucking prepared to sit down and get grilled by people. Otherwise, you're going to get sent home. And she completely panics and says Katie's fucking name.

Okay. This is why she must be sent home. Not a good trainer.

I don't want to give her the credit of 5D fuckery here. Because I think she just panicked.

She panicked.

There could be some strategy.

I do not think that for one second.

Me neither.

Because when she panics at the round table and says, no, I said Christy. And then his reaction is so... real. When he's like, what? That's where I'm saying, if you're walking around looking for real reactions of human beings, it's clear that she lied to him. He's like, are you insane?

He's not that good of an actor.

He's not that good of an actor.

The kind of guy he is, you have to know that he's being honest. So Tamika says, my days are numbered if he stays in this house. Tamika, Your days are numbered. End of sentence. Okay. So, um, Christie says she'd put her money on Abby L and everyone's got different names and we know this is going to be a shit show. And the shit show starts with Christie and Abby L and Christie says, you are playing such a good game. You have to be a traitor. And immediately we're off in La La Land.

La La Land. It's all over the place. And I was like, is Victor even going to get a chance? Yeah.

Here is a group of faithfuls that knows Victor has been on something. If you're uncertain about it, at least give him room to expand and expound upon what his thing is. But we don't get that. We have Christie going after Abby.

We have Abby going after Wyatt over a dumb clue.

Abby moves on to Wyatt and says, you couldn't really look at me the other day when we were talking about this. Abby, you have to shut the fuck up for a while, okay?

So then Victor finally speaks and he points out, hey, you guys haven't fucking listened to me or even given my theory a chance, right? And then Jay Astro, Abby, Joe Tamika do a pretty good job of just shutting him the fuck up.

Jay, who is on the podium for, for worst player as well.

Yes.

Says you cannot make this shit up. Jay says you get anxious and manic and you're a distraction. Okay. I have no words now. We then get to Tamika versus Victor, and at the round table, he asks her, why did you tell me Katie's name? And Tamika is caught in front of everyone, most importantly Katie.

Who has her hand over her face.

Saying, I didn't say Katie, I said Christy. And Katie can see. She definitely said her name. And here's the thing about Victor. Victor has no help. If he had two people, just two people, and I don't think that it's Victor's fault. I think the faithful are that bad. I think that while the relationship game is very, very important, and you're right, he did kind of cut himself off of a lot of meaningful connections early on, this is a good enough clue to at least have some support.

He has half of Wyatt and no one else, and that's why the votes start flying in 50 different directions. It's like a Tarantino scene at the end of a movie.

I believe it went four different directions. The one that was odd, who did Joe vote for? Do you have a note on that? No.

He voted for Victor because it came down to him.

He should have voted for Tamika if he was smart.

It would have split the vote. It came down four to three. So Victor had four, Tamika had three. There were 50 votes for other people. Ben votes for Katie. Abby votes for Wyatt. Christy votes for Abby. It's just like, do you understand that it means nothing? We're trying to get people out here, okay? So the last vote is Joe, who says, Victor, I got to go with you. And he stands up to say goodbye, and that's when Alan steps in and says, you're eliminated from the game, but you are not eliminated just... yet. One player won the power of the pardon. And we end the episode with, I think the first good cliffhanger of the season.

Here's the problem. Everyone hates him. Who's going to pardon him.

It's gotta be Yeah, it's got to be either Wyatt, who couldn't get it because I think he got kicked out. I think Victor's probably gone. I don't think anybody's going to save him.

He is, but this is what's going to be interesting, and that's why this show is wonderful, because it just keeps moving and evolving. I think Katie has now probably realized the writing on the wall. She is on her own journey. Done.

Yeah. Done. Done. Done. Done. Get in the comments. Let us know what you thought about the episode. We love you very much. Join us at patreon.com slash another podcast network for Salt Lake City. And love is blind. We'll see you next week. I'm Dylan saying goodbye. Pat, say goodbye.

Bye, guys.

Thank you.
