You're having a couple fucking cocktails. And Wilney brings up her issue with Wilson in front of Aneha and Cam. And it gets really uncomfortable because it's about that pod thing and him not getting rid of.

Scotty?

Get out of there, Wilson. Go back to that basement.

Hi, hello, and welcome to the Patreon exclusive recap of Netflix's... Love is blind.

Love is blind. Great tone.

Thank you.

I want to start off this episode by thanking all the patrons, the patrons that have supported us throughout the years, and all the newbies that have come through.

Hey, what's up?

We appreciate you. Hey, what's going on? We love what we do, and we love all the comments, and so thank you for joining us.

Hell yeah. Today we are breaking down episodes six and seven.

And then the next episode to drop the next day will be And I cannot wait.

And it might not drop the next day.

Oh, maybe in a couple days or something.

We don't know.

But that's what's great about us. You get excited to wait. The waiting is the foreplay.

We have 8% binary. So we want to get into. Our blindfolds?

We can get into our blindfolds.

Yeah, our blindfolds.

And I think we should be able to speak openly about the three episodes.

Yes, I think so too. So I want you to go first because I have a little bit of a preamble. You know that I get negative about the show. I think we should start off as positive.

Sure. This is my first season of being positive about a season of Love is Blind in quite some time. The last great season was season four, of course, with Zach and Bliss. And I forget the cast members, but that was a wonderful season. And this one I'm liking, and I cannot tell if it's just because of my connection to Massachusetts and kind of relating to these people.

But there are two couples, one of them being Rob and Michaela, that I actually believe they are actually trying to fall in love with one another and give it a shot. We'll see when he meets Diana. And the other couple is Sarah and John, where I believe her heart is into it, and I believe he is at least trying to think he wants to be into it.

And the rest of them are just a goddamn mess.

Rob, do not fuck this up.

Um, so, but it is fun watching it. I, uh, the first episode six is just the resorts. The episode seven is a mixture of seeing everybody's apartments and meeting some friends. Episode eight was a hodgepodge of, uh, meeting families and just some little tiff tit fights. Um, but, uh, I guess we'll get there. I enjoyed it. I am absolutely confused of what the fuck is going on with Morris and Wilney. And, um, we learned that Joe has, uh, Morris.

I'm sorry. Did I say Morris?

Yeah.

Wilson. Sorry. Yeah. Um, but, uh, I'm enjoying it. I'm enjoying it. I'm going to give it a 30 blindfolds.

I'm going to go negative, negative, positive. Okay. So I have two criticisms and then I'm going to say something nice about this television show. Um, this show is 55 minutes to an hour every single time. And when you're watching it, especially through our lens, I think, get in the comments, let us know. We're very acutely aware of the fact. There are so many moments in these episodes that do not need to be on television. There are so many transitionary scenes where we throw a chyron up, If you've been watching reality television enough, you see a chyron, you're conditioned to go, okay, here we've got a scene with people. Not on this show. They'll throw chyrons up for contestants. They'll walk up a stairwell, hug each other,

look at the sunshine, and then we'll move right on. Those do not need to be aired. We get that they're on vacation and they're doing their thing. Go ahead and we can do the thing where when they get to the resorts, we can roll a package on Them ATVing and them going slacklining, whatever the fuck. But there's so many wasted moments. Make it 42 minutes. Stop showing us those fucking scenes.

Well, Dylan, we could probably have a technology using AI to basically help our viewing as podcasters who have to take rigorous notes on these episodes. We should not put this on the viewers.

No, but I was thinking about the viewers, and this is why I want you guys to get in the comments and let us know, because I was thinking about it. It's not entertaining. It's not as bad to viewers as it is to us. But I do think that it puts people on a malaise. I don't think anybody's enjoying it.

But think about this, Dylan. They're watching it in their beds at night with a glass of wine, probably eating ice cream. And the malaise, sure. But also, they don't pause it. They go up and get some chips. And then they come back and whatever scene is on screen. it's on unless something really dramatic. Yeah.

Dare to dream Netflix, maybe watch, uh, make your television show, uh, something that people are captivated by. Um, I'm going to be, okay. Then we've got dead horse. We talked about this last week. There are, there are too many, like, okay. Michaela and Rob, I don't think that we've seen a couple that have as good of a chance at like really being in love with each other since maybe Lauren and the robot. Um, I really do. I don't count Zach and bliss. I don't know what they have. The way that armadillos mate is the way they may. I don't know what they are, but armadillos are less annoying. Armadillos are amazing. Okay? Zack and Bliss suck.

Armadillos don't make this noise.

Armadillos don't pretend to be on their phone talking to their agent at the reunion, okay? With long tube socks going up to just beneath the knees.

We were there.

Wearing a suit.

We were there.

But what I mentioned last week was we used to have the majority of the cast be train wrecks.

Now.

Netflix's Love is Blind is cast... The cast is only train wrecks. But in the seasons of your... We've had overt train wrecks. And it's a little bit more interesting than something like Cam and Ania, which is never going to work. It is a train wreck, but it's a very slow-moving train wreck. Kind of like the steamroller that ran over that guy in Austin Powers. That's kind of what this is. And I just.

We had a season where every time a guy walked up to an ATM machine, the ATM machine told him to fuck off.

Right, right, right. And John's got a little bit of that. We'll get to that later. Is it paid or not?

Who? Joe. Oh, yeah, John.

Yeah. Who is ever confused about that? But anyways, the positive is really Michaela and Rob are doing it for me. They're the emotional through line. Yes. And- They are... God, I can't remember. The emotional through line of last season was that couple that didn't even go to Mexico, but they were still filmed, the black guy and the white girl.

Huh.

That were devoutly religious, and they.

Weren't... Oh, right.

He had dreads.

Oh, my God, yeah.

Yeah, they were barely on the show.

I wonder if they're still together.

Me too, but who cares? Michaela and Rob are so lovely, and we'll get to it when she is... She's just a fucking real one. When she's talking about Christmas Eve at their house, I was just... We've had the Benitas and the Jaxes and the people talking about materialism. The night that she paints, while it is trash and it's Bostonian, I want nothing.

To do with it.

It was such a real thing to want and aspire to. She just seems like such a real human being, and I love her.

I think in my notes, I. I looked at that scene as actually a movie, a scene from a movie.

Yeah, it was beautiful. So anyways, I give it five blindfolds.

Fine.

You'd think that people would have had enough of silly love songs But I look around me and I see it isn't so Some people want to fill the world With silly love songs And what's wrong with that I'd like to know And here I go
