Can i say this about stew does his cackles not sound like a four-year-old that's being tickled.

It's not a pleasant.

Like i want to i honestly want to stand over him and throw a rock on him how big is the rock enough to do damage.

Oh wow Hi, hello, and welcome to the Patreon exclusive recap of Netflix's Love is Blind.

We are in Boston.

I'm Dylan, that's Pat.

Great to be here.

Ruby? Hi, Dylan.

I assume our patrons, our little baddies, are probably listening to these episodes back to back.

So they're going to hear four and five right now.

Oh, yeah.

I don't think we need to do the typical pop and circumstance of the listen to this, listen to this, this is what's coming up.

Let's just fucking get into it.

We're in Boston.

Hmm. Can you do your bill? Do your bill.

Bill what?

Burr. Huh?

Who gives a shit? Who gives a shit?

Huh?

Who fucking gives? Who gives a shit?

Huh?

That's all I got. Very good, Pat.

Can you do one? Nope. All right, so I give this episode zero pots.

This one? Yeah, these two.

Zero pots.

I'll... I will co-sign on episode five because it was.

Nothing happened at the resorts. We didn't get any fun. Usually the resorts, they give you a little bit.

Of fighting and like that kind of bummed me out. But episode four, we had the epic ending to that, which is someone fucking ghosting someone.

That was pretty, pretty awesome.

No, it wasn't.

So Ruby, help me here. Tell your brother.

Oh, I'm going to get in there.

Okay.

Do you want to go, Dope? No, go. Okay. I do not think that the last episode was worthy of watching or making or living. I'm sorry they had to live that and film it. That being said, when she left at the end of four, I don't remember the last fucking time I was actually like, wow, that didn't. that surprised me in this show. It might've been season two and I don't remember what it was, but it was probably, it might've been fucka when we were throwing.

I'm not sure.

Right.

She left Dylan. It's, she wants this more than anything. I thought that she was like, my life is made. I'm already making my Pilates class reservations. Right. And then she left.

So here's the thing. Uh, the producer of this franchise is a guy named Chris colon. Um, who puts Matt Sharp to bed. Chris Colan is the most incompetent piece of shit in reality television. And while it was perhaps a two on the Richter to have Jax leave the show, we've seen it before. We've seen it three times this season alone. Now, I know that it was in kind of more extraordinary circumstances, but the problem here is that I don't want I don't want the hit, intravenous hit, and then have it fade away and leave me with the comedown of a bunch of boring, do-nothing dorks in Mexico pulling each other's arm hair out for 40 minutes, right?

What I want is for these people to identify, film, and force the most interesting people on this show to be on the show. What we had in the beginning, the early seasons of this show, was train wrecks occupying most of the equity on screen. And the boring people occupied the periphery. We would cut to them and joke about how they suck, but they're the anchor of the romance of this show.

May I add to your point?

Yes.

Okay. So if Irina... And Zach had had it their way.

Right.

Do you remember Irene?

Oh, I do.

Yeah. One of the best things we've seen, you know. She said he looked like a cartoon, like Bugs Bunny.

Yep.

She hated his guts from jump.

She probably, if the producers had prompted her, she probably would have said, I do not want to fucking go with that idiot to a hotel room. But somehow, or maybe she did say that, they got them in a hotel room together in which she pretended to not understand to pretend he existed and hit on every other guy in Mexico. And then they had that amazing interaction in the bathroom while they were brushing their teeth.

You're right, Dylan.

So the two big problems we have, and I know that sometimes this happens, but Maury departs. And we've spent so much time on this And it means nothing.

Dylan.

That can't happen.

Somehow they should have glued. Look, I hate producer intervention. I do not like Svengali puppet strings being pulled. But somehow we couldn't have found a way to get Maury and Benita together.

Right.

How crazy would that have been?

We needed, again, I am all for locking these fucking pod doors. Set a timer. Say every date has to be at least 40 minutes. And if you hate them, great. You have to sit there for 40 minutes. You can sit in silence, that's fine.

And if they bang the doors and scream and say, I can't get out of here.

Nothing.

Cut it. You have that footage, just don't show it because that's a little too much and maybe people will raise alarms.

But cut it.

Do you guys remember when you didn't feed them? Let's do that again.

Right, they didn't feed them.

So Jax and Stu, when she says, I am leaving this show, What we do as producers is say, oh, unfortunately not. How difficult is that to do?

We don't have a plane for you. Well, I live down the street, actually. We're filming in LA. Oh, right. I'm sorry.

And then you get hit over the head with something.

And then you wake up in a dark room.

But no, but at the very least, they should be able to, and I don't know if I sound really radical when I say this, but they should be able to sue the contestants for bailing on the show like this.

Well, that's what they used to do. I just saw a doc on The Swan. They did that to them.

Find a way to legally bind them to be on the fucking show because they've had so many of these people just go, yeah, you know what?

What are we talking about?

This costs money.

We're trying to film something.

And we have a subscription that we paid to watch these people. So I think, and I want to just really quickly- The people.

Versus the contestants of Love is- Thank you. I'll start that lawsuit.

And where the lawyers are going to come in, if we could get them to also slip the legalese into the housewives contracts. You have to be at that reunion. And if not, that's fine. We are suing your family.

At the very least, the meager salary you received for being on here, it doesn't happen anymore. We have that money.

Okay.

So you just wasted a month of your life. You quit your job and now go find a new one starting from zero. Let's prevent Or provide some incentive to stay on the fucking show. Jack should be at the resort with Stewie. Benita should be at the resort with someone. The most interesting people you have have to film. They have to make it late into the seasons. Otherwise, we have Wilson and Wilney. Now, when we see her refrigerator and it looks like something from Saw... You know, I'll take that. I'm not saying that it's just going to be bad, but we have to keep our best players on the field. They do not do that time and time again. They should be tried. Zero pots. Wow.

That's passionate, man.

Go for it, Pat.

All right. Yeah, this was episode four was good, I think.

I'm going to give it 14 pots. Let's go. I think we wasted enough time here.

Do you think it was a waste?

You think it was a waste?

This is an important thing that needs to be said. This show needs to be put on fucking airs.

Two of the people have since died. We say, who cares? That's why AI exists.

Yeah, get a wig on somebody.

Right?

Yeah.

Let's make this happen. This is for viewers, man.

I'm going to say one last thing. I'm going to make it quick. The thing that kind of keeps people at bay is the promise and, dare I say, the edited tease of the barbecue people returning. I will no longer hear your excuses of why you were out until three in the morning. I will no longer tolerate you not having your cell phone. You have done this year after year after year. You've said, oh, these people are going to come back and it's going to be this.

It always amounts to fucking nothing. So I'm not hopeful that Benita is going to come back and Blake's going to bail and we're going to have a switch up. It just never really happens. It's always a bit of a whimper. But I remain hopeful. I still do think this season can be good.

Stay positive.

Okay.

All right.

Rob and Diane have just talked, and she's basically given him an ultimatum. Like, I'm losing my goddamn mind here. You need to pick me, or you need to pick Michaela.

I can't handle this. I'm losing my mind. And I think this.

Has the exact opposite effect, because I think Rob has had plenty of young girlfriends that have basically, even ultimatums, been in his ear. And that's where, when he has his date with Michaela, she's like, oh, hey, Rob.

How's it going? He's like, oh, I just had a rough date. I know you're friends with Diane. And she's like, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey. Don't worry about me. Don't worry about me. She says, sit back. You got some weed there? Smoke some weed. It's cool, man. It's chill, chill, chill. Whatever you decide, whether it's her or me, I'm good with it. Don't even worry about it.

Don't even fucking worry about it, man. You got to be chill.

And he's like, hey, can I.

I think this was trying to sabotage her to see if she's really cool. He's like, can I read what I first wrote about you in my diary the first day we talked?

Who is ever going to validate that that's truthful?

I said, what a fucking boring dud you are.

He was honest about that.

It isn't so
