9.30 again.

Hello, ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to the 723rd episode of the Geek Frist Podcast. I'm the zombie hunter, Travis Snell. I'm joined by.

I'm the final season, Kirkman Patzer.

I'm the Michael's Bay, Taylor Field. Yeah, I read your name as the final... Sizzling? No, the final sizzling.

That's cool i like yeah there's no l in there there's no l now i look at it yeah you know i feel like my mind would go sizzin like like least least on the mark i feel like sizzin what is it a football there's no l in there i think people use that term like season comeback season with like like sizzinin no season season can you vouch for that travis He's Googling right now. He's asking chat.

He's asking his AI companion.

Is it inconclusive? Inconclusive, the search. His name I just see like DAZN. That's what I see when I see something with the ZN at the end.

Streaming app that I'm forced to purchase every year.

It's that or Crave. But you know what? I've lightened up on DAZN. You know why, Kirkland? Because... In America, when I see everybody complaining, I'm like, you want to watch this game? You've got to have Prime Video. You want to watch this game? You've got to have this app. You know what? I take it all back because in Canada, for the Aussie NFL, it's split all over the place, and it's getting worse and worse every year because they know there's more money to be made. Canada, we've got DAZN.

App's not the greatest. It has a bad cancellation fee where it's like, oh, you cancel it? You've got to keep it to your subscription, and then the month after, it's terrible fucking gimmicky shit. Streaming quality, I think it's getting a little better. I'm saying the app's getting better. But all the games are on that app. Whenever, wherever.

So you know what?

I'll take it over what the Americans have to do with all these different to watch each game. So I'm pretty happy with that. Even though I think I'm not happy with the game tonight. Sam, my first in Sam, dropping a big 29 on me. Clean 29 to start the night. It's not looking good for me in the GB Fantasy League. I am Taylor, if you don't know this.

I kicked his ass last week. I got my first win off that guy.

Yeah, you did, but I'm missing Hubert, who's Hubert, Hubbard, however you say his name. Hubbard. He's been a huge MVP for me this season. He was a low, like a later draft pick. He's been great for me. He's delivering big time. But Taylor, last year, I only won one game in the Fantasy League. It was brutal. This year, I'm 4-0 right now. I'm top of the heat. No one's beat me. I've beaten everybody that I've went up against.

Yeah.

Yeah, that's going to be a mountain. Even when it started, it was like 35 to 65. But yeah, I'm missing some people. Or I'm missing just one guy. But yeah, Sam's got a powerhouse team, so you never know. Any given Sunday, we'll see.

But you know what?

I'm going to take it. I got my Lestat Mardi Gras King picture up there. So I'm celebrating the 4-0 and 1. You're watching Vampire, right, Kirkland?

I've seen a couple episodes. I wouldn't say I'm actively watching it, but I've seen a couple episodes.

You said you were waiting for Shay to get back. Is Shay still gone?

We'll talk about it when we get to what we've been watching.

Great. He got to one episode. No, that's it. Oh, and to clarify.

Don't like this.

Don't like this. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Not my type of show. Not my type of show. Where's Tom Cruise?

Where's Tom Cruise?

I did get more details from my mom. And luckily, not she swerved because she didn't know what I was saying, but I was like, oh, what about Vampire? It has nothing to do with Tom Cruise. She's like, yeah, I just don't like shows and movies like to take time in that, or take place in that time period. I was like, oh, okay, we're still in the clear, you know, because if people don't know, interview Vampire the Show, lots of man-loving going on, tons of man-loving, and I got my mom to try to watch it, because I try to get everybody to watch it, and she said, yeah, these shows aren't for me, just in a text. So I was like, oh, what does that mean? But then, luckily, when I saw her in person, it's like, oh, yeah,

I just don't like the old-timey stuff.

Does she have a boyfriend?

No, I don't know.

What happened to that guy that was chained in the basement?

Well, that's a sub. That's not a boyfriend. That's a whole different situation. No, I think she has this guy that she goes to America to fuck sometimes, but that's about it.

You'd say your mom is very promiscuous going and getting that. She's focused on the pool right now.

I think it's like a Michael Myers situation where every Halloween she goes out and strikes. I feel like she takes her one-trick. Every Halloween she takes her one-trick. Just the mask with no clothes on.

The Amazon driver comes to the house.

Yeah, he's an ex-victim.

I feel like then that's the kind of demographic of woman. The show is definitely up their alley. They see the male on male stuff and they're just melting for it.

She didn't love the first two episodes and then Travis's mom didn't like it, so maybe not.

She didn't love the first two. But wait a second though. No, no, hang on. Before we get to Madison, you said you were watching it and were hoping.

What?

What do you mean? Because Madison liked it.

Did you? Did you ask if Madison liked it?

What just happened?

I did not hear about Madison. Did you ask Taylor if Madison liked Vampire?

I was, and then you were jumping on me before the words fully exited my mouth.

He did say the word Madison, so I heard that. We'll circle back. Taylor, you didn't watch this with Madison, correct?

Here and there.

What was her thought?

Was she vibing with it?

Not my type of show. Did you like Interview with a Vampire from what you've seen?

Just because Taylor canceled right here.

She's going to be like, yeah.

I believe love should only be between a man and a woman, Taylor.

She said it was good.

Okay, good. So Kirkland's story.

Oh, she's still going.

Yeah, that's fine. You got to wait for her movie too.

Yeah.

You can still acknowledge her, Taylor. You're looking like you're trying to ignore her.

She's watching her freakier Friday now. I got her headphones, boys.

Oh, there we go.

You're not going to hear a peep tonight.

There's going to be a.

You put these on. You put these on.

Cast them. You don't say anything unless I motion to you. That's why my mom does that guy downstairs. Put these on.

You go downstairs.

That's him, and here's my mom. Oh, my God. Every Halloween.

Where would the line be crossed? If your mom's making these howls and you've got kids trying to sleep and she's howling way down.

There, you've got to go say something. The line would be crossed right away. I have no issue banging on that door.

Before you get to minute 20 in our pleasure track.

I would give it 12 minutes of this and then I would go in and say, hey, knock it off.

Just ignore it, kids. Just ignore it.

You've got to watch season three today. We're going to circle back to that. It's funny you brought that up. No, and that's why if I say, hey, we're going to be at the house, I'll give her a heads up. So just in case she wants to have Halloween on an extra night, then she can do whatever she wants.

That's good on you.

On your story originally, Kirk, when you told us this, you said you were watching the show. And then you said your plan was to watch more of it and get Shay to just kind of notice it on the side. But now you're saying Shay watched the first two episodes. So what is it? Your story's not straight. Have you even watched two episodes?

She was at home.

Yep.

We're both on the couch. She's on her Kindle, you know.

Headphones on.

I'll put on Vampire. No headphones.

You don't watch this. It's not your type of show.

Which, like, she probably catches, like, 60%, 60%, 70% of the show when she's doing it that method. If she's fully locked in on what she's reading, then no chance. Like, she, I feel like I can't really, like, If there's like a TV show going on, if I'm trying to, I'm not a reader, but let's just say I am for the sake of the argument. If I'm like trying to read, but there's a show on, I like cannot do that at all. Like I just get so distracted. I like can't.

Actually I can.

But Shay like fully locks in. Like there could be so many things going on and she's just totally dialed in on her book and I'll be like talking to her and she just doesn't even hear me at all until I like actually catch her focus. So big difference there, but. Yeah, I put it on when we're both in the area, even though it's like, okay, I'm watching it. It's the same thing with Dexter. Obviously, I was watching Dexter more on my own versus when she wasn't there. But for the most of the watching, she was in the room to her dismay. She's getting roped in for the... That's Dexter.

But I've only seen like two episodes of Vampire. So that's where I'm saying I've seen it. I'm not actively watching it.

Okay, but then what we've been watching, you're like, oh, wait till we get there. There's no waiting. You're still just at the two.

Well, because you said, are you watching that? And then I was going to be like, well, no, I've been watching X, but you put it in the notes. It shouldn't be on Twitter. That we're not talking about at the very end.

What?

I don't know what that means.

What?

It shouldn't be on Twitter.

Because you said you were watching X. Remember, that's what Twitter is called now. I just pictured Kirk. He's just scrolling all night. More of a threads guy.

Is thread still a thing? Do people still use that?

Still a thing i think.

Some people do yeah threads no i was too tired i was there was too many uh we're technically still kick but we we'd kick that for twitter x which we don't use right now because you know we use it in certain times because those subscriptions are a pain in the ass and you know that's what happens but uh This is going to be like Death Stranding all over again. You get to a certain point and then never return. You have to return back to it in the near future here.

What did I finally finish? I feel like Hannibal took a decade for me to finally finish. But I did, eventually. As long as I don't get killed off before my story is fully completed. That can always happen. I know, that's what I mean. As long as that doesn't happen, I'll finish it.

Life's short. That's why, my God, this is why apparently we need to have some GB therapy, which makes sense all these weeks ago. Kirk, where were you on Sunday night? Where were you around 9 p.m.? Was this about the shirts? Is it this?

No. Is it this? Can you give me the one? Hey, now I'm the one. Where were you? I'm pretty sure I was sleeping by 8.40 on Sunday.

Was Shay there?

It was amazing. Yes, she was.

Was she also sleeping though?

I think she stayed up till like 9.30. She was reading her book. But I crashed hard 8.40 Sunday evening.

Okay.

Which was amazing. I felt so good on Monday.

I'll have to message her and find out if that's true or not. Yeah, you should. Why are you asking? You should know why. I was in the hospital. Pencil attacked me again. for the 18th time in my life. I know it wasn't Taylor. Taylor was live on air with me. Dylan did say, I got to talk to Saris because Dylan did say he was, I asked him because he was in Kelowna this weekend. And he's like, oh, I got proof that I was back in Vancouver Sunday.

I'm like, okay, show me. He's like, yeah, look, I text Saris. And all he did was, it was just a text at 2 p.m. And I'm like, back in Vancouver. I'm like, you could be sitting outside my fucking house. You know, like, do I think it's Dylan? No, but, you know, the investigation continues. So I got some more people.

I just had to put Kirk on the spot there.

I will say though, Because I did, like I said, I crashed early. There is some time after I fall asleep that I know for a fact Shay was not asleep. So who knows? Maybe she snuck out of the house. You're saying Shay did it?

Maybe.

Maybe.

I don't know.

Shay and Ray get in one of these wrestling matches. I'll kick the shit out of her, you know?

Hey, I'm just saying. Maybe she's already been in one and we don't even know.

Shay just wakes up to a poster. What am I doing on Extra Life? Travis Shay.

Yeah, I got her schedule, guys. I know what she's not working. It's for the kids.

You got to do it. They said they'll pull our funding. Yeah, I suppose you're right, though. This James Gunn only threats user.

Yeah.

I have an account. I went on there a little bit because there's some people that left Twitter, but I just... I don't know. And people try to justify... Like, I get why people left Twitter. Absolutely, right? Because the whole Musk thing and a lot of things that changed there. And honestly... Honestly, the politics and personal stuff side, Twitter does suck now. The way it works, the algorithms, the trends.

It reminds me a lot of YouTube when we started. It was so much easier to spread a video. When we go live all the time, remember E3s and Comic Cons? There always would be new people in the chat, this and that, where now it just always recommends you a specific channel that pushes the bigger channels. It feels like with Twitter, it does that a lot, but we still fall in there. I still tweet the occasional... Most stuff I tweet that's not podcast is either like a wrestling tweet or if I just that's the only time I'm breaking my Twitter, like not bam, but usage like I got to tweet how the Packers suck as fuck. They suck.

I got to hope that someone in the NFL or the Packers organization sees this like, oh, we should get rid of Matt LaFleur. But no, but yeah, I went to threads for a little bit and then I said, I don't need another one. But I was saying that everyone uses excuse right of all. Well, I don't have to get away because Elon, but it's like threads is owned by Facebook, right? And it's like, this weekend, there's a fucking movie coming out called The Social Reckoning, all about Zuckerberg and the crazy stuff they do. So it's like, it's weird both ways. When people try to justify threads over that, or they try to justify the paramount over the Netflix thing, it's like, again, we've told this before.

All bad corporations. There's no way to win in this world. If you were to go cold turkey and not do anything that's owned by some probably rich asshole, I don't know what you'd be able to do you could definitely read some books. You couldn't own these, like these phones. Absolutely not like Apple phones and stuff like where they're made and everything. So not to lay this heavy stuff on us, but just saying, I don't know how we got here. Okay. I have a threads account, but I don't use it. And I will maybe use it one day of Twitter. Like I think there was a, there was a time though where Twitter was very buggy. So it looked like it was going to like crash for a while. So I think that's why I made it.

But honestly, like, I don't know. It sucks. Cause we still have the geek for stuff we need to promote. But like if Twitter ever like crash crashed, if I had no podcast, I think I would just call it there. I think I'd be like, okay, it's good. I don't need to do anything. And I barely do anything now, but, you know, we do lots here at Geekverse. We had a good full week this week. Me and Dylan did a weekly Geek this week, which was a fun time.

We talked about Tom Cruise, what we want to do next. We talked about the unfortunate Batman production shutdown. Me and Taylor did the Lanterns finale earlier this week. And then for the, I guess also last night we dropped the Batman animated series. If you want to know how that's going to work, listen to that episode. That episode's on the free feed, and then it's going to move to Patreon for a year. And then we did a very giggle-filled, very loopy Resident Evil rankings episode last night. We ranked the films, the characters, and some scenes. And it was a good time to finally say bid adieu to that franchise right there. You got a killer coming in your house there, Taylor. Look out. You got some squeaky doors there.

That's just Madison.

Should we just let one rip? No, no, no.

It's the doors.

Can you imagine, it's his podcast, she walks like right in the frame, but you can't, hey, damn it.

Gotcha.

Yeah.

Wet Willie. Fuck these headphones.

She's just like totally fucking with him.

Watch this. Woo, just. Please stop. What else we got going on? This weekend we'll probably have a little, I might be doing a Travis told you, tomorrow so look over that it's just been an odd week because the girls have half days and they're off tomorrow but I want to try I think I'm going to be doing my Top 10 Horror movies so look over that and then next week we're going to get back to the grind the next three days or so we got the Thanksgiving weekend here in Canada so we're taking a little time off but then next week we got SideQuest with Taylor and Dylan talking about pod racing Taylor a little preview you having a good time?

Yeah, there's a few things that they... I mean, it's ruthless. It really is ruthless. Like the slow-mo cam when you destroy someone. That's fucking annoying, but I am... Go ahead.

Oh, I was just going to say, I saw the animation when you lose some of those races, what they do to you. Every time. Check out the Batman Ant-Man series to understand that.

Oh, but no, it's, it's fucking difficult. It's, it's, it's grueling. And like when you do your tour, you can choose the path of how you want to go in your tour. So you can do like specific races where it's like experimental elimination or just like a standard, just 12 person, whatever.

And yeah, it's good. What are you eating there? This guy. Just mouthful. Not even doing the Taylor like.

Chili and a muffin? Is that what you got over there?

Such a difference between the two. Taylor will eat and then quietly pretend it.

I got nothing to say right now.

We talked about this. Why are you eating past 8?

That's fair.

I'm going to be up past... So the reason why you're supposed to stop eating at 8 is because you're supposed to stop eating like what? 2-3 hours before you go to bed? I'm going to be up for like fucking 4 hours. I got We're going to be podcasting for three hours.

Travis's body knows that it's 8 p.m. Pacific Standard Time, so he can't eat past 8 Pacific Standard Time.

Unless you're eating nutrients or healthy food, it's bad for heart disease.

There's some lettuce in there. I take my omega-3s. It's counteracting.

Are you insinuating that because you've got to do the cutout that it's going to be a long night?

For 18 minutes.

Three hours.

You think we're going to be here for one more hour? Three hours of it. At least two and a half.

At least two and a half. Kirk had said this before. I can't remember what we were talking about. Like, ah, there's not too many topics in a trade. I'm like, you know what it's like when there's a newscast, when it's the GV. Weekly Geek, I feel like, is always like an hour, 15, hour, 30. That's two of us, and we're on target.

That's why I'm eating.

That's why I'm eating. So I'm fucking, I'm ready to go. I'm powered up.

Guess what, everybody? You thought Extra Life was November 8th? No, it's tonight. Get those donations in now. But, yeah, next week we're going to have a Vision Quest. That's starting up, so look out for that. We've got some patron stuff. We've got Kirkland and Dylan doing Weekly Geek. Obviously, things can always change. And then, oh, fuck, I forgot. There's a lot of stuff happening next week. At some point, tentatively the Friday, me and the Gimmick Boys are going to be reviewing Street Fighter. So look out for that.

It's going to be a hybrid. Yeah.

Because there's wrestlers in it.

Because Roman Reigns is in there, and Cody's in there, and Goto's in there. There you go. We're going to review that and probably talk some wrestling stuff. We're going to do that. And then we don't know when, but Taylor and I are going to do a Friday the 13th binge. It drops on the Thursday, I think, Taylor.

Sorry, Friday the 13th binge? Oh, you mean Crystal Lake?

No, the whole franchise. You agreed to it.

The whole franchise?

You said you'd do it or your entire funds for next year would go to Extra Life. Your Geek Frist funds would all go towards Extra Life.

Oh, they paint me like a hero.

Taylor failed donation process. That would be, that'd be a really good series. So, uh, no, but yeah. Is that still happening? Are you watching all the first?

Crystal Lake? Yeah. Honestly, for some reason I thought it was already out and I saw like Crave.

It was there.

I was like, oh, I'll start watching it. I was like, oh no, it's just the trailer. I don't know what I was thinking. Yeah.

So we'll be doing that.

It's happening to all of us.

And lastly, but not least, also the most important thing, November 7th, Extra Life. I was looking to, I feel bad. I was looking to try and make an announcement tonight. I don't think I can confirm this person to come in on and make an appearance. So, TBD in that as far as it doesn't matter you'll have to find out next time and no it sucks too we'll have to see the announcements are going to be kind of all over because I don't think we have a four person cast until I guess maybe we have Vision Quest so maybe some announcement there but the rest of them are all like weekly geeks and we got Clayface which I'm trying to work on and make sure I'm there so yeah until Actual Life I don't think we have

a four man cast really so it's going to be interesting but yeah look out for that lots of announcements Extra Life, BC Children's Hospital. We're trying to raise $ 1, 000, as we do every year. All the funds goes towards family and kids in need. They're all tax-deductible. You can donate now all the way until November 8th, because that's when we stop the stream. There's going to be tons of fun benefits, tons of fun unlocks. You know what?

I'll announce this, Taylor. I'll announce this. I'm going to make it a stretch goal, because if people really want it, they have to fight for it. If we hit $ 1, 500, so that's $ 500 past our goal. If we hit $ 1, 500... I'm not saying we'll never do it, but I'll make it on the books a lot sooner that we'll do the Transformers retrospective. But we have to hit 1,500.

Is that before or after the Exorcist retrospective?

Well, you have to do that, but we'll figure that out later. Because I said if I did that. So it's maybe a two-in-one, really, if they hit that. But that's a lot to advertise. But I will put that on the line there because I know the fans would want that. But we've got to get past that goal. We got some other stuff. I'll announce that. That's a stretch goal. And we'll have other fun things, other things that are happening on the day or things we can unlock.

Yeah.

We got the Gauntlet Tournament, which is going to be a seven to eight round tournament. We should be having trivia. I'm going to start setting that up next week. I'm really behind on messaging people, but I'll go for that. And yeah, lots of other fun events that we would like to announce soon. Some patrons already know that. So let's get into the news. We had a whole kind of drop today because they had a Marvel New York Comic Con. Newark or New York? No, Newark.

New York.

And then there's Newark. There's that one. Hang on one second. Stall for a second.

Which one was it?

That actually is a place. That actually is a place.

Newark, New Jersey. Yeah. It fucked me up big time when I went to New York. It was a pain in the ass. And then I was trying to ask where Newark is, and they're like, I don't know where that is. And I was lost for days there. So what do you want to do?

She's offering me ice cream.

You want some? Get fucked up. But anyways, New York Comic Con was today. Chris Balgo was actually there. So, Chicken Marvel Alliance. David and Travis hosted in his place, but Chris was there. So, I'm sure he'll have some fun things to talk about next week. We have a bunch of stuff here. Where do we go? Yeah, let's...

I'm going to start with this one because we haven't got Taylor's thoughts on this. So, me and Kirkland and Dylan have all talked about this. Taylor hasn't, but we haven't talked about a few other things. But this is kind of like a softball.

Taylor?

Taylor? Today, Marvel confirmed to this panel that Daredevil Season 3 is the last season. But then they also confirmed that the Defenders and Elektra will be back for Daredevil Season 3. So what are your thoughts on the show ending? But then also what are your thoughts on, I guess, going all the bang with these returning characters? Maybe, maybe not.

I don't know.

I'm okay with the show ending. I mean, it's had a pretty good run. I just think at this point, I just want Daredevil to be on the big screen now. I've enjoyed the shows, but put him in there with Spider-Man in costume. I appreciate getting Matt Murdock. Captain Marvel?

Yeah, give him Cap 3.

Sorry, what? Captain Marvel?

What? I'm just joking, because you're like, get him in there with, and I said Captain Marvel, because clearly I know Taylor would not be wanting him in Captain Marvel 3.

Didn't you say Captain America 3?

No, I said Cap 3.

Oh, fuck. New York, New York. I'm fucking losing it. So, yeah, Cap 3. Yeah, where was I going with that?

You want him in the movies.

Yeah, I want him in the movies. I want him in the movies with Spider-Man. No, just simple Mac Murdock. popping in there like uh who simple matthew murdoch no.

Two two things he said simple he said simple.

And he did not call matt you call him.

Something else did i say simple you said you said.

Simple and you called him something else you didn't call matt Call them Mac Murdoch. You're bugging me.

I've not had a lot of my rum and coke.

Oh, great. It's going to get better. On a Thursday night, my boy's developing a drinking problem, you know?

It's basically Friday. Come on.

Yeah. You're bugging me about NARC and you're saying Mac Murdoch. That's his younger brother.

Mac Murdoch. Yeah, interesting. No, but I.

Derry Kirkland's going to be a four-hour cast.

I think that him being... Appearing in a movie would be the right path forward. He's had a pretty good run with the TV shows, and I like season one. I like season two, I think, a little bit less. I'd have to go back and revisit.

Born Again?

Yeah, I think so. But I can't exactly remember. Don't quote me on that. I can't exactly 100% remember. But that being said, it was a fun retro that you and me did Kirkland for all of that. What is this? Oh, NFL stuff.

31 Kirkland.

Final season.

Not good.

Keep going.

I'm just trying to show Kirkland that for.

That's good.

No, that's what Sam got.

Oh.

That's against me. I was trying.

John got fucking... Oh, that's terrible.

Yeah, what is that?

You see the percentage slider, though.

Yeah, that's not good.

He got like 17 and a half points off one player. Not looking good for me.

He got 31 off one player. Oh, wow.

That's like doubles. I thought he had multiple players.

I didn't mean to derail. I just showed it on visual so Kirk wouldn't see it. What's that? What's going on there?

I lost my train of thought. Someone take it.

You were pitching Mac Murdock in Captain Marvel 3. Yeah, that's right. In the movies. No, you said you'd have to go back to watch Daredevil, like, born again at some point, because you said two, and I said that was a hot take that you liked one.

Rewatch it? No, but just tune into the reviews and see what my rating was. That's where I'm going to go. I don't have the time. I'll watch it, but I don't have the time right now. That's the thing.

Yeah, I do not think you're going to, in honor of Daredevil born again ending, Taylor's going to go back and do a retroform again. No, I didn't think that. I just mean, like, I imagine at some point in your life, Did you like the show enough that you would watch all the show again? Or would you only watch the Netflix again or Born Again? Where are you with Daredevil now?

I would watch.

I don't think I would go to the original Netflix stuff. What the fuck? I'd do just the Born Again if I were to. I feel like there's a lot. Again, for me, what I like with superhero stuff for TV shows, yes, I like what Daredevil had. There's a lot of good stuff in there. But If I'm only going to pick a handful of superhero TV shows, I'm going to go back and watch Spider Noir. Absolutely. Wonder Man. I'd go back and watch Wonder Man over this. And like WandaVision, Loki.

So those are kind of like the callings that I have to... That's crazy.

You would take Disney Plus, Daredevil, or Netflix, Daredevil.

What about you, Kirkland? Would you do Disney Plus, Daredevil, Born Again over Netflix or vice versa?

Netflix.

Netflix.

I would take Netflix.

Yeah.

I see.

It's like a hydrogen bomb coughing baby scenario, you know? Like, Disney, Daredevil's good, but.

What does that mean?

What's that term?

You've never seen the memes? Like, hydrogen bomb, and it's, like, something really big and powerful, and then coughing baby's just like a little baby. So it's, like, super powerful versus super weak. And that's where I feel like... I like the Disney Plus Daredevil, but I just feel like the Netflix stuff just, like, whole different ballpark, in my opinion, you know? Whole different arena.

When I think of, like, Born Again... My mind, honestly, straight, woe way, goes to the bank robbery episode.

Oh, that episode.

Which I hate.

And Caxton, like, either.

It goes to the therapist that was, like, fucking mad and then, like, became a villain. And, like, that is where it goes. And, like, Muse. I feel like those three things is, like, where my mind goes. And I'm just like, I don't think that show is even good. No, I look back on hindsight.

You don't like her putting the mask on?

That's season two. That's season two. Yeah.

No, I didn't. But it's fun to laugh about and talk about. So the reviews are fun. It's going to be like new Dexter here. I'm sure the show is going to be ass. But man, those are going to be some fun nights.

I hope.

I very much hope.

And Taylor, Defenders, Electroback, how are you feeling?

Now this is the Kirkland Defenders retro. I'm going to go for it because I haven't seen it.

I honestly, I'd be down.

I'd be down. I think it's only six episodes. I don't have that in the calendar for next year, but I can add that. That's, again, that's what we end up doing, folks. Again, people, there's tons of podcasts, some patrons. You get your bang for your buck because we start the year off like, here's what you're giving you. And then by the end of the year, you got 10 to 15 more episodes on top of that. I didn't even have that pencil in. It would be, I think it's easy to watch, too.

Well, there's an Electra backstory involved with that, isn't there?

100%.

Yeah.

So, I mean, I could see the pull.

It's like, Isn't it, like, crucial to watch, like, at least some of the Defenders going into, like, what season of Daredevil? Like, there's, like, a cliffhanger after season three.

Season three was, yeah, because Matt just works up, like, dead in a church. And you're like, what happened in between seasons?

And I'm pretty sure you were like, yeah, make sure to watch, like, a recap so you kind of know.

And I'm like, yeah.

I don't need that i don't need we'll cover it in the show yeah i.

Think it's only eight episodes or something so you could there's the i like defenders i think defenders gets a lot of flack because they feel we're expecting to be as great as avengers i don't think i ever got to that level but i think it's a solid like step below it um but it's tons of fun the interactions are good Yeah, I think it'd be a worthy venture for you guys.

Maybe we make some time to make it happen.

Yeah, plan that. First two weeks of May.

Yeah, there's relevance for sure. And you've got SIGs in there too, right?

So that's pretty exciting.

I just planned a cast for Kirkland's time off. He didn't even blink. He didn't even register it at all.

He's okay with it. That's why he didn't react to it.

Yeah, Shay won't worry.

Don't worry, Shay.

I'll tell you later.

I'll tell you, like, two days before, like, oh, yeah, I can't do that.

Yeah.

Oh, I meant to put that on the schedule. Sorry, I'm gone for eight months, guys. Yeah, you watch on the flight, you know. Kirk, also, you and Dylan already talked about Dare, like I said, and I had to pre-see. What do you think about, well, I guess you don't, I don't know actually why I asked you guys, because you guys have no history of Defenders. Why the fuck did I even throw this to you guys?

I don't know. Good question.

Yeah. Do you have anything to say on that? I guess Elektra?

You knew that the retro was coming.

Yeah, Elektra? Any thoughts there?

I like Elektra. I like Elektra. I'm down. Yeah, why not? Thumbs up?

Yeah, I think, I guess I'm down to see them again, especially now that it's the third season, because it feels like we're, you know, you're potentially like, say goodbye to these characters once again. And it's just so funny where it was a big deal, like, oh, we got Jessica Jones back, and the finale, oh, there's Luke Cage. It's like, oh, we're really getting back the Marvel Netflix stuff, eh? And they're like, no, Daredevil season three, you're out of here.

You're gone. So it's kind of fitting that way. And of course, especially Elektra. I would love Elektra. She's coming back. I'm very happy with that. They also said in some of the footage they showed, Bullseye had his full comic book suit. So I'm going to be excited to see that. But yeah, with Elektra, I think there is some full circle stuff you'd be doing with her. I'm interested to see what she's been up to since Defenders because it ends in an interesting spot. Interested to see if it's a, A big character arc, or is she just kind of in there for a cup of coffee like Jessica Jones?

My only worry about this now, with it being the last season, is I hope that Matt doesn't get lost in his own show. I know people argue, well, you already got three seasons of Defenders. Yeah, I get it, but I feel like we even felt that sometimes in Born Again, where Matt would kind of be missing for a little while.

Wait, how many seasons of Defenders is there? You say three?

Yeah.

Yeah.

Three, eight episodes.

No, I'm joking.

It's just one. I said three like the Daredevil seasons on Netflix. He had three there. So again, we got lots. But The Born Again, I think we kind of talked about how Matt sometimes would just be gone or we'd be following characters where it's like, eh, we don't find them that interesting. Luckily now, if we're not following Matt and you got some of the Defenders, they are more interesting characters. And I think we talked about this last year.

It was kind of obvious where, okay, if Matt's going to be in prison, you're going to need some heroes to watch New York after him. Because Spider-Man's not doing that. Spider-Man's like, fuck, I don't look after the block guys. I got things going on. So these guys are going to look after whatever block. I guess Hell's Kitchen.

The block guys? What?

No, I said block. Block. Mac Murdock. Spider-Man has agreed, like, yeah, I'm not going near Hell's Kitchen. So I guess he needs some help. So, yeah, it's good it's out there. It's interesting they confirmed it because they were talking about it on stage. And they had the interview, like, set up Charlie. Like, what do you think about this last season being a set-off? And the entire crowd just, like, booed.

And it was like, I felt a little awkward because it was him, Finn Jones, who plays Iron Fist, and then Jessica Jones, or no, sorry, Kristen Ritter on stage. And man, like, obviously it was like a leak that got out there, but this is going to be kind of an awkward, I feel like, promotional tour. You're just talking about those things. And it's not, again, like, oh, we're announcing the end of the show. Like, we've decided to come to a conclusion. This is where Matt Murdock's going in his stories, all believing this. It's like, nah, Disney kind of want out of this, and, you know, they're changing up their TV formats with stuff, so. Kind of awkward that this is going on, but what are you going to do? I'll enjoy it. We'll get the

reviews and then we'll see from there. What else am I going to enjoy? These new stuff? I really don't know. I'll find out after this first ad break. Marvel Zodiac has been confirmed. This came out a couple weeks ago. That's why we cover them. C-tier people are saying, hey, Marvel's working on a spy detective show. And then two weeks later, It was like, oh, it's this show called Zodiac.

It's like an X-Files type of procedural show. It's going to feature C and D-list Marvel characters in the Marvel Universe, but not really interacting with Marvel A-tier characters. This show is coming out in 2027. It's supposed to be filming, I think they said, early next year or something. Casting will happen soon. I just, with the whole, like we're going to talk about, but all these announcements today, None of this did anything for me, you know, like even then, like I should be excited for defenders coming back, but that show's ending. So it's like, okay, we got that.

I should be excited for the zombie stuff. We'll get there. But like, I, I'm, I think there's an asterisk there. And with this too, like I have, I really have zero interest in this.

Right.

And that's where like, I've never gotten to that point where I haven't watched an MCU thing. I'm going to be that way with the DCU. Cause next year you couldn't be, I guess you could pay me. You'd have to pay me large sons to watch fucking Jimmy Olsen and, But I'm not going to right now. So unless, again, some Patreon producer wants to pony up even more, great.

But I'm not watching Jimmy Olsen. Zodiac might be the first MCU thing that I don't think I'm going to watch. I think the only two ways they could do this is they have to get an actor that I really like. Off-seat's not Mads Mikkelsen because he's Casillas or whatever. But something like that, right? Where if this detective pairs two actors that are just, oh, this is really fun, okay.

Get the stats.

Sam Reed. I'd watch it, but I'd be fucking pissed. That's what you get? He gets that? Unfortunately, he's too old. I wish he was a little younger. He'd be the perfect fucking Gambit man. He would kill it as Gambit, but I think he's nearing 40 and he's never ready yet at the age of early 20s. I don't think they're going to go that route. Fuck, who else could he play? Oh, the other one I've seen, it would never happen because me and Chris Evans have talked about this.

I'd fucking, he'd be a dangerous Magneto man. If he was Magneto, oh my God. Because they're going younger, right? Because obviously Christopher Abbott is like 40 or whatnot. So yeah, like Craig said, it would have to be like actors I really care about. Or it has to be like Wonder Man, where that was different too, because I really like Yaya, so that was already in. But it has to be like Wonder Man where the quality of the show has to be so good. And that's my only hope now, where clearly they're pulling back on big A-list characters.

They're pulling back... on big connected shows and universe-spawning shows. So now it just has to come down to the quality. And that's the tough thing where a lot of these Marvel shows, the quality has not been good. But it's like, oh, well, I like this actor or this character, so I'll stick around. Or, oh, this connects to this, like Secret Invasion. Oh, this connects to X, Y, and Z, so I'm going to stick around.

If you have a show that has no character actor I care about and a show that's been the quality of a lot of the other Marvel shows, There's going to be no reason to watch these. So I'm hoping they don't just think, oh, we'll just make it lower budget and keep doing the same thing. I hope they go, okay, we're going to do this, but we really need to make something really unique. And even something like Lanterns, right?

That's different because bigger actors and a big universe. But that's a detective tale that has a gripping story. So that's where it's like, this show has to be really good to justify its existence in the Marvel universe. So I will wait for further details. But as of right now, I really have no interest. People have the theory, because the O looks like the former S.H.I.E.L.D. logo, and some people think it's a continuation of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. If that gets confirmed, I'm easily fucking out. I'm happy people liked Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. back in the day. That just felt like discount. And Feige didn't even want that show to happen. That was different forces that made that show happen.

And that's why they didn't really acknowledge it. Other than Jarvis and stuff, sure. But really, they didn't acknowledge it that much. If it's something Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. related, I'm out fucking quicker... than anything. I'd probably rather watch Jimmy Olsen than some of the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

just felt like very cheap MCU knockoff. It felt worse than Netflix stuff of like, it's the cousin no one wants to talk to at the family reunion. Like, yeah, they're here. Oh, not even then. I'd take CW all day over Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., man. Like, fuck. You know, so... Superbad Mike says, not sure why they cancelled Wonder Man, yet greenlit this. I imagine Yaya's probably, like, we'll have to see what actors they get, Mike, but I imagine Yaya's probably more expensive, and Ben Kingsley's more expensive than whoever they get for this show, because I don't think they're going to get, like, big-time actors. So I bet that. Obviously, every time you come back for another season, people are more expensive. And probably just, like, numbers, too, right? Like,

I don't know how, like, I don't know. Other than this community, I've never met a single person in my life that's heard of fucking Wonder Man, you know? So that's another thing where, I really liked wonder man of the struggling actor and make his way out there, but I don't think it was like a huge show for people like, Oh, I got to watch this, especially being a Marvel show. I bet a lot of people watched it that were expecting like a Marvel superhero thing or like, what the fuck is this for the people that are just the GA. Right. But, uh, Taylor, how are you feeling on a Zodiac here? I got a detective show coming on next year. Going to be connected to the MCU, but characters we don't know, I guess they're just going

to be going around the Marvel universe, looking into, uh, mysteries or solving cases.

I did a quick little, uh, I look at the, uh, I look, I look, I look, um.

To interrupt my Mike says, wonder man got, uh, Emmy noms.

It did.

That's one. And two, uh, and or did a lot too, right? And, and or was planned for how many seasons Taylor five Kirkland got it. The taco man himself. How many scenes did we get take answer.

This well two but they made the first season one that was two seasons into one right.

Well I know but I'm just saying that it didn't matter how many Emmy nominations or praise and or got that didn't say that show right it was like yeah you get two seasons so it's the same thing like a war and people talk about this all the time I can't remember who talked about recently an actress who someone in the last like five years who won Academy. Oh, it's, I think it's Ariana DeBose who won an Oscar. Maybe I could be wrong. She was in Craven, but one of these actresses lately, like, Hey, I won this Oscar, expect my career to blow up all these opportunities. And it's like, it's not, or it's just like similar type of role. So that's what it's like. I hate to say this. Cause I love the award seasons. Awards have meant,

or awards mean the least they ever have in all of Hollywood. Now people can win an Oscar and it, it's great for that moment. Great for achievement for them. Not taking away from that. Absolutely. You know, hold up that trophy. But to get things done, Emmys, Oscars, Globes, they don't do anything now. Be like, okay, cool. It's this.

How much money did you make? Oh, well, you know, yeah, okay, thank you, bye. You know, that's what they care about, right? So, there, Zodiac.

Sorry, I just wanted to answer that question. Yeah, because I was looking around at some of the characters, and is that the team that's got Taurus and whatnot? Is that the... We don't know.

There is a Zodiac comic, but there's nothing... Right now, it's just a detective tale. And those comics, I didn't read any of those, so I would be a blind spot.

Okay. I mean, it's... I was typing a message out in the discord and then I erased it because I thought I'll just wait on it.

It's going to be the end of the, the end of the podcast. This is who I'm voting for. Um, I, I thought that was an inside job.

I think that when you look at where Marvel's come with the TV shows and they understand that there's a big disconnect between creating shows for these characters that, um, have storylines that kind of expand the movies. When you look at like WandaVision and Loki, I think, okay, people probably are not always watching these shows. And so Marvel has identified that as a culprit. So when they really went full send on it, you've got, uh, um, fucking wrapping paper in the background.

Oh, it was Emily. No, literally she, she's doing some of the ice and I looked at her like quite down and she just goes like, like just to open it louder. That's okay. I'm going to put her in place later.

Can you ask her a question for me?

I'm going to tell her to put on her fucking headphones.

Put your headphones on.

I'll tell you, I have a question for you, Emily, apparently.

Because I couldn't, I can't, I'm not sure if Satine was telling the truth. Is she doing the pigtails for my daughter?

Are you doing pigtails for Satine? I have not been there the last two days.

Emily's not been there the last two days.

Oh, okay.

Someone else is doing it. Satine's just... Fucking lied to me.

It's an other mommy situation. She's seeing a fake Madison.

I was like, did Miss Emily do the pigtails for you? And she's like, yeah.

No. Emily's been off work because the girls are half days and stuff. So yeah, Steve's just lying to you. Look out. Okay. Yeah. Before you know it, she's going to be sneaking out.

You know? Taking the headphones.

Give me this mom. They're mine now.

Yeah.

Um, fuck, what was I going to say? Oh, before you continue on to, do you guys see the other mommy thing? They didn't let, they didn't screen it for critics at all. That movie. That's wild.

The embargo was like day before kind of thing.

No, it was today. But the thing is the only way you could embargo is you as a critic would have to go see it in a public screening and then draw a review. They didn't even screen it. Cause they're like, Oh shit, this is going to be shit. But, um, you know, apparently it's not, well, apparently it's not reviewing well, but it's supposed to, it's going to be the biggest domestic horror opening since it. which is fucking crazy. It's because that marketing was really good, I think.

Trailers were good.

Yeah, so I'll watch it, but definitely happily VOD, you know? Yeah, yeah. But Zodiac, you... Yeah, Zodiac, Zodiac. 43 Minutes, topic number two.

Yeah, so just kind of circling back to.

I'm vibing, I'm vibing.

Circling back to the.

Circling back to Extra Life.

Yeah, let's go back there. The TV shows, I think Marvel just kind of, they were accelerating it too far by running with these shows for just people that are not the GA, like the people are tuning into this and losing track of, I don't know, just all the mixed storylines, right? With Captain Marvel and.

It's a lot of shows too, right?

It's a lot of shows.

They're putting out like four shows, four movies.

Yeah, and at that point now too, it's like, okay, well, I think a prime example is you have Doctor Strange Multiverse of Madness and it's like, okay, Wanda's a bad guy now and has kids, a lot of people that haven't watched WandaVision, it's like, this is a full fucking trip, okay? So that gets confusing. And I think, okay, they've absolutely kind of realized they've got to slow down. So I think Wonder Man is, as much as I would love a follow-up season because of how that ended, I really love that series. It was awesome, that first season. So I think it's a shame that they canceled it. But at the end of the day, too, I think that's where they can kind of exceed and excel is by choosing these characters that aren't super well-known, but just kind

of really focus on the writing and give them a really, really good arc and a story and it's not going to compromise the main narrative everything with wonder man and um i can't remember the guy's name slattery trevor yes everything with trevor and him it has no overall impact to like doomsday i mean not that i can tell at least at this point but if they come up and appear in doomsday sure then that's welcome as a cameo right.

Wonder man might be with the eternals unfortunately yeah eternals hercules starfox there's a lot of characters i just We're never ever going to, not ever see again, but these iterations.

Black Knight. Who?

Black Knight. Yeah, yeah, with Scar.

With Scar, yeah.

Yeah. I wonder if we ever see, like, I still think Scar, like, Doom could kill Scar. Darben, no. We're not getting Darben. Emperor Drog, he's still alive. We could go back there. He's still alive.

Doom would kill Scar. And what is the context? Like, what's the setup here?

Well, remember what we talked about in Doom?

Opening of the movie.

Yeah.

Before it even says Doomsday. It's going to just be an opening scene.

It's a.

Cold open.

You take that. No, remember we did theorize that he's after the hero's kids, right? Like the way he talked about them and those trailers were showing off.

So he abducts all the kids, but specifically kills Scar.

Oh yeah.

I think he could kill some of these kids, not just abduct them.

That's fucked up.

Yeah.

Especially if his wife and child died. So I think he could kill some of these kids.

So this isn't him? Is that what he's saying?

I like this kid.

No.

He's not going to like any of these kids.

That's banner before Doom just fucking decapitates him. They're going to be saying that. He's going to be having a nice father-son lunch.

If the movie starts with Scar just actually getting brutally murdered.

They look over and. There's Doctor Doom on Father's Day. He just fucked Scar shit up. And like, hey, you echo Infinity War with Hulk getting fucked up, but this time it's Scar. You know, they're just chilling, having a good time.

But like, Hulk lives this time around. Scar definitely does not live.

Yeah, he just looks over and he just sees Doom. But then that motivates Hulk, because then in Secret Wars he's.

Going to be... Don't help me.

Don't help me.

In Secret Wars, we get Banner like, I'm going to fucking kill you!

There you go. We just did the whole arc. We just handled it.

We did, we did. So, Scar's not going to be in the show. A Zodiac.

Okay. But I mean, aside from just the show in general, I'm going with an open mind. And again, I think that their strong point, their pillar is that they just don't lean into the main MCU. Just create something that compliments the franchise.

Which is crazy, eh? The strong point is you don't lead into the MCU, which is like, that was the strong point of the selling point of these shows on Disney +, right? It was like, they're going to connect to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. No, no, no, we're not doing that now.

That's where we were like, I mean, we were talking and having those conversations, like, okay, they're all going to tie together, you know, how's that going to work? Is it going to get kind of risky? And they assured us, like, it'll be fine. And, you know, it wasn't fine.

I think it's fine if you wash it all, right?

It's perfectly safe, is what they assured us.

And I guess I wonder, like... Because what was... Can someone look up what was year two of Disney Plus shows for the MCU? Because the first year was Falcon Winter Soldier, Loki, and WandaVision. And to me, I agree with you, Taylor. We're clear there's probably tons of people that didn't watch WandaVision, didn't know why Wanda was a bad guy, didn't know about the kids. But still, when that show came out, that was a huge hit, doing numbers, obviously COVID was happening. I also think a lot of it has to do with how many they did do at a time, but the quality of it. Because even Falcon Winter Soldier... I don't think it's on the level of Loki and Wanda, but in no way was it like, oh, fuck this. Like, what did they do here, right? I

wonder if it had more to do with year two when those shows came out and they were lots of mix. Kirk and Pat, so Geek Frist Podcast, trying to show your true quality.

I'm going to try. I'm going to rip them off here. So year two, we got Moon Knight.

Which I think was iffy. Lots of people love it, but I thought that was it. Too kiddy, I'll say, for GF. Yeah.

I was shocked when I saw that that was like highly rated.

People love that show.

I thought everybody saw it the way I did.

I think if you, in the majority, like if you look at hardcore MCU fans, I think the majority of them, if you have a show, like a movie and show list best of, Miss Marvel's in a lot of people's top tens. I think this podcast is very much in the minority. We love them on, but that show to me was like, all over the place, and Kitty, and oh fuck, remember those skeletons, right? Oh man, how can you forget them? But again, okay, so yeah, Moon Knight, which I think was iffy. We thought Ms. Marvel was iffy.

What else?

We got She-Hulk.

Which I love, but tons of people thought it was iffy. There's tons of people that hate that show and oh, she's twerking with Megan Thee Stallion and oh, they ruined Daredevil. Look, he's doing the fucking walk of shame. Yeah, so that's where we were the first where lots of people hate She-Hulk, so okay. Then what was next?

We got I'm Groot.

That's fine. That won't count bad. Yeah, that's for the kids.

Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special.

That's a good one.

Yeah, that's a good one. I'll count that as a fun put on. Yeah, that's like a movie. It's a short film. And that's where it's tough, right? Is it just that, okay, was it too much? Or was it that year two was very mixed results and people were like, I'm out of here. It's the same thing with the MCU. Eventually, these movies got to a point in Phase 2 to 3 where whatever you feel about them individually, they got to a quality where the GA... came, they bought their ticket, and they enjoyed themselves, right? And that's why once you get to phase four and five, we got a little more questionable. Oh, all of a sudden, their movies are like Eternals or fucking Ant-Man and Quantumania. All of a sudden,

these movies aren't as good, and the box office starts to go down. Gee, I wonder. It's the same thing with the TV shows, right? If every show was the quality of WandaVision and Loki, maybe we wouldn't be talking about them not being connected anymore, but obviously that was not the case after, I'd say, year two, right? Because I would not put Foul Winter Soldier... I put it above all those for the most part. I think I like She-Hulk more, but I just mean, like, as far as, like, the overall impact with Watchers, I'm sure they liked it.

It was just, like, a Captain America equivalent. And, you know, in retrospect, that probably should have just been the fucking Captain America movie, because look at what we did get with Brave New World. But, you know.

I was also looking at, like, just the movies that were out at that same time.

Oh, they sucked.

Well, like, Multiverse of Madness.

Okay, but I remember there's Black Widow. No, I love Multiverse of Madness, but there's Black Widow.

Thor, Love and Thunder.

Thor, Love and Thunder, Eternals.

Black Panther, Wakanda Forever.

Yeah, which is, I love, but it's a depressing movie. I just feel like, I remember when Disney Plus started, I feel like the first year and a half, it was like, oh, the shows was where it at, and the movies are really questionable right now. And then at one point, it just got to all of them being questionable. But, you know, I think we're, well, I don't know if we're back on the up. We'll have to see a Doomsday, which is crazy, boys.

We're back on the up. Brand new day. We're there. Biggest movie of all time.

Third biggest movie of all time. It was good. It was just good. I thought you loved Brand New Day. It was good.

It was good.

I still, I think we're on, sure, we're on the up, Taylor, but I can't, I can't drop, what? You gave that, you gave that fucking move too?

Sorry, I was trying to drop the Michael interview.

Goodbye.

Did I smell nice? Smell good? Yeah, I think, I can't drop Taylor here, put the word you know, we're back up Giff until Doomsday. Because I do think Doomsday is a whole.

Who's that from, by the way? Is that from Water?

Yeah, yeah.

Fucking incredible show. I think Doomsday is the biggest domino. Because Spider-Man, as he just proved, right now, him, Tom Holland, Zendaya, they don't need no fucking Avengers. If Avengers plummets, guess what? They're fine doing their own shit over there. Like, that has other than an end credit scene that sucks. It has nothing to do with Avengers, right? There's nothing going on.

It's doing its own thing. It has more so to do with fucking x-men and avengers so that's where it's like they've proven if avengers falters spider-man and sony they're fine with the rest of marvel i do think of doomsday sucks and a lot of those dominoes fall luckily they do got x-men and stuff but uh that's why i don't think they get their back back doomsday really has to hit and i don't know it's crazy we're like um we're a month and like eight days or something yeah we're a month and actually we're a month and seven days or two months and seven days isn't that nuts it's two months away are you serious Yeah, December 16th. We're October 8th. It does not feel like that.

That doesn't feel real.

That doesn't feel real.

I remember the old days where it's like, oh, Man Avengers is coming.

Dune is still coming out too, right?

Yeah, we're fucking doing it.

It's going to pick itself, right?

Not for Dune, no. And of course, we didn't get the earlier screening for Dune, so we're just fucked. We're going to figure that out. Oh, sorry, before we move on. Taylor, obviously you have to see more, but are you going to be watching or viewing the show? Because I'm an iffy on that.

Um, I don't think I'm going to be watching and reviewing it.

Oh, you made sound like you're watching. Well, no, I'll be, I'll be, I'll be, I'll.

Be review, I'll be watching it, but I won't be reviewing it.

I won't be watching it, I'll be reviewing it.

Here you go, Kirkland.

Taylor, Taylor's going to blind review it. He's going to be like, I think this is what happened, but, oh, so you're going to, what if it's fantastic, like Wonder Man?

Well I mean by that point I won't have time to review it I'll be after the fact right because I'm going to slowly watch through it is it a week to week thing or is it a binge drop.

No idea yet I don't think they know yet either.

Let's see what people are saying here don't tell me about the Zodiac project they just oh in the chat why are you reading the doomsday chat I don't know it's just it's there.

Kirkland also you and Dylan talked about this a couple weeks ago when it was just rumor now it's fact now it's fact how you feel about this.

Yeah, it's funny, Taylor. What did you say? You're going to try and go into this with an open mind. I love that. I don't think I'm going to go into this at all, to be honest. I didn't really get the pitch when you gave us the rumor about it when Dylan and I covered it on Weekly Geek. Travis, directing it to you. I don't know. It just seems like a weird thing to do at this point in time.

um it seems like a hard pitch having like no name not even just no name like like actors but like no name uh characters is a weird combo but like i guess what they've been doing lately of like trying to link stuff hasn't really been working so this is like a shift there but yeah this just has like that agents of shield stuff riddled all over it and i feel like the peak of the mcu is like Avengers time. We still have like our OG Mount Rushmore characters, like very much like still in the prime of whatever phase that was. Like there was things like agents of shield out and there was like Colson in there, like a character that I at least know, but like I never watched it and I still don't have any

desire to watch it. So like something brand new that has new characters that are like, like randoms from the comics, let alone like randoms from the MCU. Like that's just a weird pitch to me. I think this is going to take a really big sell on me of people saying, this is like Andor level, but MCU. I fucking love Andor, so maybe that would pull me in. But what are you showing me here?

I love that Tia asked me. Tia asked me, oh, is it this? I'm like, well, I don't know. They said two characters. It's probably not that. And then he has to bring this up just big. Well, is it this?

It's the only reference we have, right? The Zodiac cartel, right?

You got Red Bull wearing gloves. I like the Red Bull that's wearing gloves, too.

Don't you ever wear skin colored gloves?

I don't.

I don't have skin colored gloves. Um, so yeah, weird, weird show.

Your hands are freezing.

Of course I have gloves.

It's the Rockies. Yeah.

I'm going to kill you Lloyd.

What? I'm going to kill you. Well, there you go. Unless there's a big sell, and who knows? Maybe if it comes at a time like, which right now, there's not much to say. There's a cool poster I guess I'll bring up in a second here. Like your friendly neighborhood Spiderman season two. What are you laughing at?

A poster for Zodiac?

No, for, yeah, that one you just brought up. That's the poster, right? They didn't make a poster. I just got a panel for the comics. I'll just throw a logo.

Just red gloves.

For Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, I'll show you the poster. Oh, yeah. Fucking, oh, my goodness. Talk about chills and juice and everything like that. Look at this poster right here. Look at that.

Oh, man.

Now, my point to this is, though, that this is coming out January 13th. For the podcast, it's perfect because January is a fucking dumb ground that has nothing. So maybe, and that's what they should do. If Zodiac comes out in a time where we have nothing going on, then yeah, sure, maybe we'll review and like, okay, some content we talk about and everything. But if it's like dropping those summer seasons or those fall seasons, that is DOA. So you know what? What they're doing with Spider-Man, uh, uh, uh, Friendly Neighborhood, they should do that with Zodiac. They should drop it in time. Even that's when they dropped, uh, Wonder Man. Wonder Man was like the end of January, like the start of February, somewhere there. So, but they

should do that again. But, uh, yeah, great, uh, great poster. That's coming January 13th. So that's a show we will be reviewing. So look out for that. Um... What else do we have here? We got Deadpool. He's going to be appearing for the first time ever in X-Men 97. That's fun. I think they said they tried for X-Men 97 Season 1, and they weren't allowed at that time, but I guess they're allowed to now. So, you know, good for them.

What's the hang-up?

I think it's probably just at that time, like, Reynolds was doing stuff that they didn't want, like a crossover of, like, ah, they're doing the movie, they don't want Deadpool in here. So just, like.

That's a good thing, though, because then people... I just feel like that's cross-promotion and just. Props up your big head honcho project, right? Whereas Ryan Reynolds is just like, no, I'm the only Deadpool.

I guess. I don't really feel like it makes a difference whatsoever. I just feel like if Deadpool was in X-Men 97 Season 1, I don't think it would have changed the Deadpool Wolverine box office at all.

Do you think he's as vulgar and whatnot? Because he's not swearing or anything in there.

I don't think he will be. I guess it's on Disney +, so they could make it a little more mature, but I don't think so. He'd be there to do jokes and everything and.

Did they defeat Apocalypse at the end? He got like, his consciousness went away. I can't remember what happened in season two.

I'd say no.

No.

Okay. So Deadpool could face off against him.

No, he was kind of, I forgot. He was kind of contained.

I forgot.

Kirkland hasn't watched 97 season two yet, have you?

He's going to finish it after he finished his vampire. Yeah.

Fucking crazy.

I haven't seen Wonder Man yet.

You don't have to worry about Wonder Man. That's got canceled, so that can go lower on the list.

Well, Iron's good.

Well, Stott is still coming. Season four coming in a year or two.

I forgot about Iron Man.

Yeah, you got to do Iron Man first. Yeah, no, I think Apocalypse is contained right now.

Okay, good.

Yeah, good. He was worried.

Threat to humanity.

What else we have here? We got Sam Jackson. In an interview, he confirmed he's going to be bad at these things. He said he's back for Avengers. He's doing everything. Oh, the next one? And he's like, no, no, the one after. He said, I'm not in Doomsday.

He just confers.

That's cool. My question was, I knew we kind of figured he would pop up on these movies. Is this it for him? Is this where they finally give him the heave-ho? Or because we're getting to a semi-reboot that they take it like, well, we need a Nick Fury around again.

Sun's getting real low. Big guy is my outlook on it.

I think....

There's only so much juice left in that lemonade or that lemon. So let's make like a really good batch of lemonade on this last one. Let's not try and stretch this out, you know, just dilute it so we can have like a hundred new glasses of lemonade. Let's make one really good glass. That's just fucking yummy. We can say goodbye, move on. He can retire. Maybe just go into the animated sphere, do some voices. Oh yeah.

But yeah, I think I'm ready. I think I'm ready to go. close the door on Mr. Samuel Jackson's career in the MCU?

If they're going to the year 2042, they've got to keep this fucker around, right? Unless they recast and change him around. I feel like we're going to have many more Avengers films after Doomsday and Secret Wars. I feel like Nick Fury is a part of the Avengers, right? So far up to this point, we've only had him shapeshifting with Gaia, the Beard, trolling around on Earth and then playing, relaxing, whatever, in space. I just feel like we haven't gotten a proper version of him. But they've kept him around and they've put him in all these different instances just to kind of dangle him around until, I guess, they need him for something. And he's been in every single Avengers film, I guess. Then Iron Man

2 and.

Yeah, he has small roles.

Small roles, of course, yeah. But he always pops in and kind of like... is that character that kind of like helps rally or does something. I don't think he didn't help really rally in, in end game. He was at the funeral.

Well, he was snapped. He couldn't rally anything, right?

He was snapped. Yeah, that's true.

He just got, he just got snapped back. Well, where did they like, well, cause technically, you know, I've never thought about this, right? When they, when Sam's back, he's on your left. How did they all get there?

Portals, right?

So that means everybody, like, Doctor Strange went to Wakanda to get Sam, and then he went to Titan to get Spider-Man. No, no, no.

No, he didn't go there. Because he was still on Titan. Doctor Strange shifted on Titan, right? Like, phased out.

Okay, so he's with them. How did he know where to go?

What do you mean?

So the battle in Endgame is on, like, where it's Avengers compound.

Yeah, yeah.

So when he, whatever, they showed in Spider-Man Far From Home, when you snap back, you snap exactly where you were.

Yeah, so how do you know where to go?

Yeah, so when they just show up on Titan, they know.

He lived out all the alternatives, and he knew there was one path forward, so he knew, okay, the battle's happening here.

He's fine. What about the people from Wakanda?

What do you mean?

They were somewhere else. So people like Bucky and Sam, they were at Wakanda when they got snapped, right? So how did they make it to Endgame Battle?

For them, they were so ready to go. When they snapped back in, it was during that battle, right? For the first battle in Wakanda.

Sure, at Wakanda.

And all of a sudden the portals open and they look through the portal and they see more of those fucking aliens through the portals.

But who got them?

You see a portal, you go in there. Well, Doctor Strange.

He got all these fuckers?

He created portals all simultaneously at the same time. And then you had Wong. Wong was creating portals too.

Well, those portals opened up.

The fucking Wakanda.

Yeah!

They were ready. They were ready for round two.

Oh, yeah, man. Okay, so here's my question, Taylor. Where was Nick Fury?

Oh, he was in there.

He was next to Howard the Duck.

You haven't seen the encore Infinity War?

That's right.

I guess not, yeah. It's just so funny that every single hero's back.

His portal opened up and he's like, I'm not going in there.

Thought that. I need a drink. He didn't get a portal and none of the Netflix characters got a portal either.

He disappeared in the middle of the street, right? Yeah. Comes back in a car, hits him.

It's like the theory I love that after brand new day, when everyone like gets sent back, like Defoe gets sent back right to where the glider hits him. And he's like a good guy. It's like, that's Nick Fury.

He goes.

Yeah. Imagine he comes back. Where am I? No, don't hit that button. But yeah, Nick Fury just comes back. It's smoked. But, uh, um, yeah, who knows, um, yeah, I think it's time, I, I said this before, I think they should have killed him off in Endgame, obviously, if Secret Invasion ended up being a great show, we went, oh, it's great, he was around, but his uses post-Endgame in Far From Home, and there was something really good, that storyline that's set up, I love the idea in Far From Home, where, obviously, that was Talos betraying, which, I didn't like that either now, in retrospect, where he's a Skrull, I'm not a fan of that, um, you had that, but then you also had Nick Fury being, like, question

because he was gone for five years and he knew all this shit and was the guy to go to. And what is the guy when the guy that knows everything about everybody has been gone for five years and doesn't know shit? I thought that was a really interesting story you could play with Secret Invasion and Nick Fury.

They didn't do any of that. So that interesting storyline's gone. And I just don't even know, like, did he go to space with his wife? His wife's a fucking scrawl, remember? Remember that? Oh, yeah. Did he go to space with his wife or something?

Right?

That's where they went.

Something like that. Yeah.

Like, I just don't even know what he's been doing. And here's the bad thing. I don't even care. And I love Sam Jackson and Nick Fury. They made me that I don't give a shit. They've put him in that category, just like Don Chills' Rhodey, that if I never saw them again, I'd be like, that's okay. That should not be the case with Samuel L. fucking Jackson, Mace Windu, Jules. Like, that should not be the case.

So my hope is Secret Wars goes out like a hero. And then we get white Nick Fury and the whole internet freaks out because there's going to be a bunch of people that do not know what Nick Fury is white. And I can't wait to see that go down. But what were you going to say, Tim?

Well, I mean, I only knew Nick Fury was white based on Ultimate Alliance. But the thing I wanted to allude to, how do you kill him off in Endgame? Does he, like, jump in front of Thanos and Thanos just fucking shanks him?

Thanos? Yeah, like, how does he die? He loses the thing. Oh, right. How do you die in Endgame, hey? I think... I'm trying to think what would be better. Is it better for him to die after portals or is it better for him to, I think there's a good full circle moment. If he also doesn't get snapped and he's with the original ventures, like with the ones that were left, like, like cap and Steven, everything like that, you could have snapped his wife. So maybe he's a little distraught too.

Cause I think it's odd. Cause did anyone, no one came back from portals. No one came back from portals and died. Right. And, and it was widow. It was Tony. And then Cap, like, didn't die, but he went away. So no one came back directly and died. So I don't think you could have that. I don't think you could have Nick Fury walk through the portal and then him get fucking killed. So I'd say he's around the whole movie. Maybe he's not going to travel through time, but he's just the guy that presses the fucking button.

You know? And then, yeah. I guess Thanos, right? Thanos, and maybe he, like... Who would he sacrifice himself for? Because it's not Captain Marvel, because that would kind of be... Actually, yeah. You know what you do? You have Thanos kill Nick Fury right in front of Captain Marvel. And that would have made so much sense thematically. You had Captain Marvel right before Endgame.

He just decapitates his fucking head.

Well, that's what they were going to do. Have you ever heard of that? Watch what I do to your mentor. You know that's what they were going to do originally with Captain America and Thanos, right? That Thanos was going to show Captain America's decapitated head from a different multiverse. Like the one Endgame Thanos, the universe he was from, while Steve was standing there getting ready to fight, he was going to be holding a decapitated Captain America hat.

That would have been sweet.

Yeah, they took it out. So yeah, that's my pitch. Think about that. You get Captain Marvel, that movie sets up the Nick Fury-Captain Marvel relationship, and then the next movie, that's where it's like, hey, here's your fucking mentor. Because people could say, oh, Nick Fury was in Captain Marvel 2. It's like, so? All his appearances post-Endgame are like, so?

What did it achieve? It went nowhere. So yeah, Thanos kills him. makes Thanos even more of an asshole. He kills the guy who put the Avengers together. I think there's a fun synchronicity there. So maybe if Doom do that, I just feel like it means less now. You know, like, unfortunately, if he dies, it's like, yeah, that makes sense. It just, him dying is going to feel like Hemdall dying in Infinity War, which fucking sucks, but that's where we're at, you know?

Yeah, that's fair.

So Mike says, what do you guys think about the rumors of Secret Wars getting delayed? So technically, obviously, I don't think, I could be wrong, Mike. I don't think there is rumors. I think there's speculation because the shooting for the movie has been canceled. from November to January and obviously it's a little cautious because January and then the movie comes out that December so you got 11 months from what I've heard and what I've seen other people report is the reason they feel confident on that is because they've been doing a lot of the pre FX before or VFX VFXX oh fuck VFX, there we go, before, so everything that's, you know, big powers, big battles, that's all done, and the word is, like, I don't know

what I want to say here. It's an easier shoot than Doomsday, that's all I'll say, and that's why I think people are, I think that Marvel right now is less worried. I hope it doesn't get delayed, because then if it gets delayed, you get that whole domino of, well, if X-Men's coming out May of that year, then that gets booed back, and then Ghost Warrior gets booed back, and then Black Panther, so I think they'll hit it, and I hope that they are working on the effects well, and it's not going to look log-trucky. I don't think it's going to get delayed. I don't think they want to lose that December spot. They'll do what they do.

They'll put the movie out, and they'll do the DLC later. Even Avengers Encore has different color grading. That's what they'll do. They'll just get it out there, make that money, and fix it after. We'll fix it in post. Post, post. Finally, Marvel Zombies has their follow-ups starting 2027. It's going to be an annual Halloween tradition, like my mom heading out there.

You're going to get Marvel Zombies, Winter Soldier, 2027. You're going to get Marvel Zombies, The Fist of Khonshu in 2028. And then 2029, you're going to get The Last Guardian, which had Guardians Galaxy Colors, Marvel Zombies. So 2027, 2028, 2029. Kirk and Bats are hot. And these aren't seasons. I put that in the show notes. I was wrong. They're not seasons. They're just specials. So I don't know if that's a special presentation or one long movie. I don't know, but they're just one-offs. So they're not seasons. I think they're going to be only 40 to 50 minutes, if that.

But how do you feel about this? Obviously, we had the What If episode, we had the season, and now we're going to have these specials. How do you feel about this? Are you down for this? Are you kind of over it? Where are you?

I think this is awesome. I like the evolution, I think, of the Marvel Zombies. They were introduced, What If, and then, of course, we had the season of the show. And I think a special is... Really cool. Because it's, what, like 40 minutes around that range?

Probably will be, yeah.

Like themes, like you mentioned, like the Guardians font style. Like, I like that. Like, you just have a specific, I don't know, collection of something from the MCU. Like, going through, like, the Marvel, sorry, the Zombies. ordeal for lack of a better term and i i think that's i think it's fun i i think it's maybe we'll be better like pitching to new people also it's like well i don't really want to watch a whole show of something that i may or may not like uh but just like you know 40 minutes especially that's pretty easy to consume that's basically the length of a lot of tv show you know like the like the the What am I looking for? An HBO-type show or a Crave show or something like that. Taylor Sheridan project, probably length of an episode,

but just in a short. I think that's really cool.

Do you like the ones they pick?

I was thrown off by that giant fucking.

What the fuck is going on here? I just credited him for.

He gave me shit for eating like an hour ago, and I'm done for the night.

Taylor's always late on here. He's going to be dead by heart disease by 43. What's going on? Usually you try to sneak the food. He just took a full fucking bite of whatever.

Mask was covered over there.

No one would have known.

The video listeners would have fucking saw.

Watching right now, it's all good.

Oh no, it happened. What was your question?

How do you feel about the selections? Oh, what I.

Was going to say before I answer that was I imagine they'll have different creatives running I don't think so. Maybe like different directors. Would it be directed the same?

I think it's going to be the same, uh, crew. Cause I just saw some lady being like, I'm so excited to work on these series. I think it's just like, I.

Think I'm indifferent on that. I think if it hits, that's fucking awesome. Then obviously I want more, but if it's like mid, like maybe you'd been more fun to like give someone else a swing at that. But, uh, I digress. And yeah, the, the ones that were pitched guardians, what were the other ones?

The fisticon shoe.

I think that's cool. That's, you know, Moon Knight, a show that I haven't revisited. I think there's some cool stuff that was introduced in that show. Khonshu seems pretty. That sounds like an interesting combo with zombies.

There was rumors going around from C-tier people, but there was rumors that, I don't know if it's a whole special, that Spider-Man was going to get the fist of Khonshu in this. So I don't know if it's Moon Knight and then to him, or if it's the fist of Khonshu, but it's actually Spider-Man. Which is like... I'm down to see, but you also already got... So it leaves Blade? I would assume so, yeah.

Or he dies, I guess.

Yeah.

But I guess I'm just kind of confused if that does go that way, because we already got Friendly Neighborhood. I love Spider-Man, but I'd rather the Blade one.

He doesn't take away from that.

No, but it's like I'd rather other stuff.

For Spider-Man, at least.

Yeah.

Yeah.

Fair enough.

They saw Brand New Day was the biggest movie of all time. They're like, okay, we got to fucking put Spider-Man in absolutely everything.

They're re-drawing over Blade right now as we speak. Yeah, I don't know.

What was the other one?

Was there one more?

Winter Soldier.

The White Wolf, Shoveling Logs.

The White Wolf, Shoveling Logs. And one of those zombies that fucked him up. Yeah, no, I just. I don't know.

I think overall I'm pretty thumbs up on the Marvel Zombies news.

Yeah.

I'm in the middle.

Marvel Zombies has been a mixed bag. That What If episode was great. That season was a mixed bag. And I just feel like it's almost... I don't want to say they gave up. I know it sounds harsh, but they left that season on a cliffhanger and there was rumors about season two. And it just feels like they're like, well, yeah, we don't really want to give you season two, but we'll throw you these three specials just because we need something for Halloween. And it's like, Alright, again, just with Zodiac and this, I'm, I'm, I really am not caring about the, like, Marvel slate right now. These are easy enough to watch, but I think we'd probably just, like, watch them, record some news along with them or something,

so it's not that. It's just, I don't know. There's some fun concepts, like the Conchu one, anything with Moon Knight I have to see, but honestly, the Spider-Man thing does get me a little less excited, but I have to see it. Um, and I get why they're spamming on TV, too, because they can do that. They don't need to ask Sony and beg for fucking, you know, the rights to them. They have the TV rights, so I get that.

Um.

The Last Guardian could be fun. I think there's a really good story there to tell of the Guardians landing on Earth and everything being fucked up. I wonder who the Last Guardian would be out of the bunch. Who would be left?

Groot, because he probably couldn't get infected by a zombie bite.

That would be fun. Yeah, I like that theory of Groot. Even though if they find a way to make zombie Groot happen, then that'd be crazy. But maybe he has to fight Rocket Zombie, right? So I like that one. But yeah, I think there's just a good idea of, okay, they land and what's going on. Almost similar to what if Winter Soldier, zero interest. I'll have to see what they do, but zero interest in like Marvel Zombie. Like, okay, cool.

Like there's not any characters you can pull from. Like the Winter Soldier, this one will shovel logs, you know, but. Taylor, where are you? You're the Marvel Zombies guy.

I mean, I think that I wasn't super hyped on the Marvel Zombies one compared to the What If version. I think the What If version definitely had me a lot more stoked. But when I look at the three different options here, I didn't know that they were special projects or presentations like you had highlighted. So that definitely deters me a little bit. I would have preferred it to be three different seasons. That would have been awesome.

A hundred percent.

Yeah.

Yeah. I like winter soldier. I'm sure they're going to have some cameos or something cool in there. I'm definitely down to see Bucky fight the zombies. I think that's kind of got a cool, cool rhythm to it. And I can't remember what happened to his character in the what if version of it. Cause I remember he fought cap and cap didn't die. Cause cap came back and fought. Um, uh, he.

Was dead in season one. Wasn't he?

He got decapitated as a zombie. He got cut in half as a zombie form against Winter Soldier, Bucky. And then he went... The cut-in-half Cap went to fight... What was his name in the zombie show? Red Guardian.

Remember?

He was just half of himself when he fought Red Guardian. Red Guardian was kind of peeved. He's like, I'm going to have a battle with Captain America, but he's only half. Oh, no. Because he's crawling through the vents. Yeah.

So.

I, yeah, I think there's a lot of fun with the Winter Soldier here. I just can't remember if he died in the What If version or if he's still alive. But anyways, I think there's some ground there. The Khonshu stuff, him latching on the Spider-Man, let's do it. Let's just fucking go there. I'm so ready for that. I love that kind of stuff. I love that they can mix the powers around, you know, and share the gene pool a little bit. I think that's super fun.

Uh, and there's more to this cause there's like an image going around of him latching onto him. Have you seen that yet?

Taylor? No.

I fucking knew it. I knew it.

It was his fault. He said latching and that clip just popped to my head. Uh, I'm down for more Spider-Man. I don't think they can do. I don't think they can do too much. They just keep banking on him. He's great.

Of course, yeah. Yeah.

He's Spider-Man.

He's fucking Spider-Man.

And the last one was... The Last Guardian. Last Guardian. Yeah, that could be fun. I don't know how the Guardians would get to Earth with the Nova Corps. It's just like, hey, this is a red zone. No one's flying here. Because we know that the Nova Corps basically has a blockade around the planet, right?

Sure, we know that.

Yeah, from Marvel Zombies?

As I just said, I need to rewatch that season. I don't remember it at all.

Because, yeah, they get to space thinking the Nova Corps can cure the zombie thing. And they get up there and it's the Nova Corps. It's like, no, our cure is no cure. We're just keeping your planet blockaded.

I remember the Hulk. They used him as like some gamma thing to like do a bunch of experiments on. He's like holding it all down. I remember Scarlet Witch, Zombie Queen with the zombies eating things and the whatever. I remember the ending where it looks like, oh, the world's back.

And then it's not.

We lose a lot of people. Kate Bishop. So I remember some things, but not the Nova Corps.

So you got me. Yeah, yeah, fucking Nova Corps. But, I mean, I'm curious to see what that could entail, you know, the Guardians showing up. And I guess this is all continuing the continuity of everything here. Yeah, so, again, I'm down. I think Marvel Zombies definitely has a place in my heart. And there's still a lot of characters that they haven't dabbled into yet, right? I mean, we got Ghost Rider in here. You could throw in... It's always the Ryder.

It's always a rioter.

We could put Wonder Man in here. Yeah, yeah.

You want to come back? Yeah, yeah. He's just on set trying to do his business and somewhere he can invite you up here and say, hey, you want to come back and voice Wonder Man in Marvel Zombies Season 8? I mean, fuck.

Easy paycheck. Yeah.

Some people still don't do it though, right?

Well, there's your team. Get Kit Harington back as Black Knight. Get Wonder Man, Doctor Doom, and Ghost Rider. There's your team.

Harry Styles.

Harry Styles, yeah. Thanos' brother.

Harry Styles.

He'll be on the show for two minutes.

All right, let's take an ad break, and we'll be right back.

Is Harry Styles the one that spat at, what was the other guy?

Chris Pine, unconfirmed.

Unconfirmed, yeah.

Oh, no, we've done this before.

Let's see it.

Let's see it, Kirk.

We've done this in the last, like, three months or something.

If I speak.

Circle back to it.

Yeah, and S-Bub shared us the fucking goat version, too, and there's the dinosaur version. We've done this already.

Dinosaur version.

Where he throws a raptor on him. Have you seen that?

No.

Oh, no.

He throws a raptor on him. Boys, boys. We got through the first topic, and it's an hour 20. We're killing it.

We're killing it.

Kirk's vibing.

Yeah. He's calling in sick tomorrow. He decided an hour in. Fuck, I got to do the cutouts. Boss, I'm too sick. Kirkland, you don't sound too good on the phone. Kirkland, on the phone.

Harry Styles, eh? What's he doing lately?

He's engaged.

He's engaged? Wasn't he already engaged?

Not that I know of, but he's engaged to Zoe Kravitz, so he's doing that. Oh, Zoe Kravitz? Check out, yeah, TeePublic. The link is on Discord, social media. If you don't know where it is, hit us up. We'll let you know. We got our Extra Life shirts. We got a very spiffy-looking Resident Evil and GTA one this year. Those are our two themes because we're covering the Resident Evil retrospective and then also GTA coming out. It just looks great.

They did a great job with the logos. But in honor, this is our 10th Extra Life, everybody. 10 years we've been doing this. We've put every shirt, even the Lord of the Rings shirt, It let me activate it again. So I don't know if the thing ran out. So that shirt, if you like the shirt here, the Lord of the Rings Middle-Earth one, you should get that because the first run, it was taken down for a little bit because of copyright stuff. So all the shirts, you never know. Again, if you buy those, the proceeds we get go towards BC Children's Hospital. They are smaller because Tee Public does take a pretty big cut. So we'd appreciate if you still throw a little donation somewhere else.

But Yeah, lots of great shirts there. You got Barbie, GV theme. They're all GV theme. You got Barbie. You got X-Men 97. You got Jurassic Park. You got this. You got Fantastic Four. You got Superman. I don't know if I'm missing anything. I got just the Extra Life one that's a really fun blue variant. So lots of good stuff on there. Would appreciate if you do that.

What do you think Harry Styles and Lenny Kravitz talk about?

One second. Is X-Men 97 Season 4 already in production and animation? I don't know if it's in animation, but if not, then it's in pre-production. That's what they say. So I think they've said like that and then five and everything like that. So what does he talk to Lenny Kravitz? Well, he's our Patreon producer, so we should thank him. Thank you to our Patreon producers, April Darkness, Jack Grant, Superbad, Mike, Carlos69, a.k.a. NormanusFetus, Hidalgo, yeah, Cocktail Clay, John Noage, Lenny Kravitz, Sam Green, John M., Matthew Fletcher, and Summer Hansi. So I should message him. I don't want to talk to him about his personal life. But what do you mean, what do they talk about? They're both musicians, so they could talk about that.

I just feel like my headcanon goes where they arrive. He's always like, here, come on, let's go to my parents' house for dinner. And then Harry's like, okay. And then they go there and. I feel like Lenny just pulls Harry aside and just like, hey, check this out.

He's just constantly playing that song.

Check this out.

Hey, my dad just said. He's going so.

Hard, man.

So are you going to bring Harry over tonight?

Yeah.

Why?

What do you want to do? Oh, dope. dealt with i don't know what they talk about man i don't fucking music hopefully harry's a cool guy like letty and they taught like he's taking care of his daughter the total regular stuff i don't fucking know what these people talk.

About it's the father-daughter conversations that i that i often wonder if they ever talk like like so you dated my daughter He's engaged.

He's engaged to his daughter. I would hope they did.

Do you think Harry Styles asked Lenny for permission to marry? You want to get away?

Dad, should I marry this guy?

He's not even listening to her.

He's just singing.

Just bouncing around.

Hey, I want to play something. Have you heard this one before? He just sold the fuck out.

Dad, I'm trying to talk to you.

Listen, please. I don't know if I should do this.

Oh, really, babe?

His band's just there, too.

Yeah. He never lets us leave. The only time we get a break is when he records the line for the James Bond game. But other than that... Here we are. No, I don't think many people ask for people's blessing anymore. It's a shame.

I respect that.

Is it a shame?

Yeah, I did it, and I love that I did it.

Oh, you respect that. I respect it, yeah.

Yeah?

Did you ask your brothers as well?

It's just a father. He did not get his brother's permission. I've seen the receipts. I've seen the receipts. That's where she goes.

The father. Kevin McCallister. The father.

You should get approval on that person who's just going off on something else.

They are going out of their way to fuck me. Kirkland, where's that video?

I couldn't find it. I couldn't find the dino one specifically. I could find the original one. Give me the original one. Oh my god.

We were killing time so you could find some.

I couldn't find it.

I couldn't find it.

I gave up.

I couldn't find it.

Play the clip again. fine I'll fucking play it for.

You hold on Lenny's a fucking god people listen to this podcast unsubscribe.

Oh yeah look at the mouth passion.

I my theory was that he still like spit out gum and it accidentally hit him that was my theory.

Oh no he was right over him like.

Why would he spit on that what happened.

He's an asshole.

Maybe Chris Pine was going to ask Zoe Kravitz to get engaged and Harry Styles beat him to it.

He was dating Olivia Wilde at that point. I don't know. Just because you're an asshole, I don't think you're always going around spitting on people.

Maybe he said something bad about Lenny Kravitz and Harry Styles got pissed off.

You know, that's a good transition before we get to the other stuff. We took the ad break, right? Oh, yeah. Mike asked if we could sit down with any celebrity, who would it be? And what's the one question you would ask that they'd have to give you the truth? Someone sit down with one of these two boys and ask them, Hey, what happened? What happened there? You know? Okay.

Nope.

There's going to be make-believe. It has to be a real fictional person.

Let me read the full content. Okay. A real fictional person? Fictional person. Non-fiction.

Non-fiction.

Non-fiction, that's right. Yeah, Terez, can it be a make-believe person or a real fictional person?

He wants to talk to Kouros.

I finished my Roman Kouros.

This is what he said. If you guys could conduct an interview with any living person for Geekverse, who would it be? And what is one question you would ask them if they were guaranteed 100% to ask a truthful question? And I think that's very different, right? Because that's like he said, I think he said, yeah, well, I guess for Geekverse... Because I think who we'd interview one-on-one versus who we'd interview as a group is very different. Yeah, he did say living. If it wasn't living, I would have picked Michael Jackson, and you all know I would have asked.

It's literally the one I had in my head, because I'm like, it's got to be Michael Jackson, right? Like, why'd you do that? Why'd you do that stuff?

Well, no.

No, I know what you're going to ask. You're going to ask, did it.

Smell good in there? It's all right. I got so many questions for Michael. At the end of the cast, he's going to be like.

One at a time, please!

One at a time. Catch up on that show, Kirkland. Catch up on the show. Living person. I guess we should all put out who we would pick separately, and then we should try and think of a good group one. I never had a good... Because I don't think I have anything... I think there's certain... wrestling thing. So it's not as fun for you, Mike, but like, whether it be someone from the elite or CM Punk, just talk about that fight. I'd love to talk about that. I've always, and this is probably the one I'd go with. This is nerdy stuff. So if you're like, really, that's what you'd ask. But I would want to interview Nolan, 100%.

And I would love to ask him, and I know this is maybe morbid, but if Heath Ledger didn't pass away, what did that Batman three look like? Cause he never talks about that stuff. They don't, they've never even showed, like they've showed, I think like, five less than percent of behind-the-scenes stuff of Ledger, and I think that's on purpose.

I think Nolan and company are really, like, trying to keep that mystique and that legend about that last performance and everything, but I just want to know, like, what would have been that concept? Because I always wonder, like, what did Batman 3 look like in his mind before that happened? Now, granted, he used to work on Dark Knight Rises, so maybe it wasn't even going to happen, right?

Maybe that's the answer. Because if it's 100% truthful, if there's some drug, then okay, he's telling the truth, but that's all, and even then, I'd say, okay, if that was the truth, like, Would you have used him yet? What would you have done? That's always been a thing that was one of my biggest what-ifs for fandom and comic book stuff is, man, what if Ledger was still around? One, I just would want Ledger to be around regardless because he's just a fucking phenomenal actor. The guy passed away when he was 27, 28, and look at his career he already had at that point. Imagine another 20 or so years. That guy would be considered one of the great...

Some people still do, but I mean, I feel like by the time Ledger, if he's still alive now, he'd have one of those resumes where it would be undeniable that he'd be on that oh, one of the greatest actors of this generation. So that's why. And I'm a big fan of Ledger's. I think that's what I do. Every now and then, because I have so many questions about a bunch of stuff. But that's definitely one question I would ask, because I feel like he'll never talk about that. So that'd be my single one.

Maybe Ledger would have fallen off. Maybe it would have just been horrible after that. Who knows?

No, he would have been... Man, the paychecks, that guy would have been cash. And after Dark Knight, man, after that Joker performance, whoosh.

Man, and that one movie that he did that was at the... Where, like, five actors came in to, like, finish it for him.

The Wonders of Morgul. Yeah, Imaginary Pantorium or whatever. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Not that movie.

All right.

Yeah, I definitely thought this was just any person, so my bad.

You had Michael as well?

Like, literally, yes. Kevin Feige will be my selection.

Oh, that would be a good one, yeah.

And I'm going straight to the Jonathan Major stuff. I want to know exactly... What they were actually planned to do with Kang. Because that was their doomsday stuff, right? If that doesn't happen, what actually.

Is the start? This movie is called Kang Dynasty, remember?

Yeah, what is the start to finish for this? The projects leading up where he is included more versus the actual main Avengers thing. Is he killing people in the first movie? Obviously, you wouldn't have the whole script fucking done and ready to go, but I'm sure they had a pretty good roadmap of what they were going to be doing with that character. Yeah. even like after Kang Dynasty, like I, especially just like the quality of what the actor was at that time. Like, like when Kang was in Loki and stuff like.

That was just juicy, juicy stuff. So we missed out on some good stuff.

In another world. Yeah, exactly. If none of that happened, we're, you know, doing violent, terrible things off, off of, off of the screen. Be straight with me, Feige. You can't fucking lie. Also, I want to know all the juice. So I think that's the one I would, and, For the geek first, you know, that would be pushing some good numbers. We're the only ones that have the straight Kevin Feige, Jonathan Majors, breaking interview.

Why did you just call Feige a straight king? Why did you call him a straight king? What? You heard that right, Taylor, right?

I didn't hear straight king.

What did you say?

The straight king.

That's not in Kirkland's vocabulary, I'd say.

You said like the Kevin Feige straight. You said something like that.

I probably said Kang.

Oh, Kang.

Maybe.

I don't know.

The straight Kang story.

I don't even know what I said now.

That makes sense.

Maybe I did say the straight King Kevin Feige.

The interview opens up. We're here with Kevin Feige. We're here with the straight King.

The straight King.

Yeah. And he's just.

None of that homoerotic bullshit that I keep saying these days.

He can't leave.

Yeah.

He's like, that's why there's no gay characters in the MCU, right, Feige? And he's just, this whole crew's over after Geek First.

You can't leave. You can't leave.

You gotta answer this question.

Yeah.

What about you, Taylor? Who's your single one? And then we'll come up with a group one.

I got a single one. It was tough because I got two. One's an honorable mention. I feel like the honorable mention is the Jim Carrey hand signal. Do you remember that?

What?

You aware of this?

No. I know where Jim Carrey is. I know where the hand signal is.

Okay, I'm going to play it for you so you can actually see it because it's kind of crazy.

Is this a real clip or am I going to get hit?

It's a real clip. So he's on a Tonight Show. So he comes out.

It's not the Tonight Show, by the way. It's the Jimmy Kimmel Show.

So he starts doing this. And it's like, what the hell is he doing this for? He just keeps doing it. And you can tell Jimmy Kimmel doesn't know. I feel like he doesn't know how to react because he's looking at him like, this is odd.

That's what I do when I enter the bedroom before.

Jimmy Kimmel's just looking at him like fucking every drug.

That's the last thing Emily sees before the lights turn out.

I feel like I'd want to talk to him.

We should make that the geek first hand gesture.

He's still going for it.

It's like the face waterfall thing.

It is, yeah.

Yeah, so Kimmel's like, is that a gang sign or whatever? Jim Carrey just calls.

Him up for the Illuminati.

This is our new Extra Life t-shirt.

The hottest podcast in the world.

Oh, he just gets his mouth.

Yeah.

Just the mouth.

Yeah, Jim Carrey in this later just got some interesting things going on, you know? I hope it's okay.

Yeah, Symbol of the Illuminati. That's what he's going for.

So that's the one I'd love to actually talk to him about.

That's what he said it was? Yes, right there. Symbol of the Illuminati. He started the whole thing. He's just breaking into the Illuminati and whatnot.

What are you listening? I need to get that. Where's Cinematic Focus? I got to add that to the playlist.

The Pirates?

That looks good right there, yeah.

Man, it's fucking beautiful.

It's fantastic. That Bruce Wayne one I've listened to. Is it a loud one?

I don't think it's that loud. I mean, it's got some action in there, but it's got some calm beats.

Play it for us. I want to get some audio.

Oh, Jesus Christ.

That doesn't sound right.

Is that your ad? Someone's fucking around.

This is the music I need to listen to to fall asleep to. It's just heavy orgasms. Yeah, I record this from my mother's room and I play it every night. It reminds me of being home. Yeah, I'm still awake. Why'd you fall away? What's going on?

Well, because I got to defer to the actual person I want to interview.

Kirkland literally asked you to play the video, though.

I don't know how to make the audio work. I try to do it and it always says it can't play audio, so it never fucking works for me.

I was trying to bait him with the sex sounds.

But anyways, my point was with that, though, there's some of them that say, like, oh, ambience, but then when you listen to them, it's like, There's a couple of Batman ones that are good. And there's some like the, the Batman's like, like rhythm. I said, no, I don't need that. When I'm like 2am.

You're fucking in Gotham.

Yeah. And there is ones like, I want the quiet tone. So I'll have to check on the sailing.

So I, you know, the two individuals that were here that got the footage of, of Bigfoot, you know, uh, Mr. Patterson is no longer with us, but Mr. Bob Gimlin is still kicking around. And I would love to interview him and just be like, Hey, this recent video is coming out this year. It's mostly debunking your thing.

People say the doc's crazy that people are seeing the doc now. The reviews are coming out. People say it's nuts.

Yeah.

I think this is getting debunked.

I don't know. I don't know. Like it's, it's, I got to see it and I got to gauge it. Cause when I watched the trailer, it's just, I don't know. I got to see the evidence.

The people that are talking about this are not the usual, like in your category, they're film like critics and stuff like that. So that's why for me, man, if this image gets just fully debunked, what a fucking just kick in the nuts.

It is, and that's where I'm very curious to see how they debunk it. Because when you look at.

They have Gimli on video. Yeah, it was fake.

At the time, with this suit, right? Like, it's just, if this is a suit... The best technology they had at the time was Planet of the Apes and those costumes, right? And they're looking at, like, how can you make a suit that actually moves... the the muscles too it's stabilized that's why it looks kind of so weird but you can see the fucking muscles moving the legs there's a pair of fucking hooters tits on this fucking thing too um they're all see if i get the tit shot right.

There now we're dealing with time.

Yeah big foot um so i think i would want to sit bob gimlin down and uh just be like hey Just fucking level with me, man. Like, what happened when you were out there with Patterson? Yes, 100% truth. Yeah, like, was this... What was this? Because when you read the actual... Like, some of the notes, if I remember correctly, like, they went back and they followed the tracks the next day, and this thing went up on the ridge. It sat, apparently, and it watched them where they followed the tracks and watched them for a few hours.

Okay.

For audio listeners that don't know, I did the Jim Carrey.

What's that song it's making? You beat me. You beat me. You're the better joke. When I was going to do it, it was like, oh, they saw it on the ledge. I was going to do it. That's how Sasquatch dies. Just kills himself.

That's why the name kills itself.

Just chill.

Have you ever seen.

If you've ever seen a Sasquatch put its hands together up to itself and it sticks to its tongue, it is about to kill itself. Stop it. I won't forget.

You, buddy. I forgot we have memories. I love that.

It's so good. That was great. There you go. Who would be... I asked Dylan his single. He said Michael Jackson as well. So there you go. And then he said Ando Armas. But who would be a good group one? Let's try not to pick the ones we pick. Because we could ask, who's another one that would be like...

Someone that's relevant.

A Nick Cage out there.

But the problem is, what would be the question, right? Because I think there's people, Nick Cage, Mads Mikkelsen... You know, there's people like that that we, like, love.

How many different drugs have you done?

Don't answer that. That's, like, too many to count. He'd have, like, some fun answer. I'm trying to think of, like, who's somebody that we all, we've talked about a few times, like, oh, man, who would we, what would be the question? I honestly feel like what would make the best podcast and what would solve a lot of issues, specifically for me and Taylor, but I think all around would be a good one, if we get Dave Filoni in the hot seat. And whether we ask them, some of Star Wars, do you actually hate the old The Republic? Something like that. If we had that exclusive, and we had the quote of that, and he has to tell the truth, I feel like that'd be, because that's someone we don't, I won't say

not love, I don't dislike the guy, but I was trying to think that would be a good interview. I would never want to ask this, oh, so what's great about Maul? But that's the only one that jumped to mind right away, is that.

You could go further up and just be like George Lucas, even.

What would you ask him, though?

I'd say, like, what were your sequel trilogy plans?

They're out there. Remember Maul's the villain? Rey was already in those. Everyone gets fucking mad at J.J. and Day or Rian Johnson. In Lucas's fucking scripts, Luke was a hermit. He was doing the thing. So everyone gets mad at those two. George was going to do the same fucking thing with Luke, that he was going to be a Yoda-type character that said, fuck it, I'm out of here. Like, they had Rey, they had Luke, they had a different version of Kylo, they had different names.

Funneling down that, what about Harrison Ford? Talk about his roles. If you have one big question.

I would just love to interview him in general. I don't even need to ask the 100% truthful question because he looks like a gas. He looks like a great fucking time. I'd love to interview him. I'd love to interview Arnold. I'd love to interview Jack Nicholson.

Sasha Baron Cohen. And you could pick one of his personas.

Oh, who would I interview? Yeah, those three.

I feel like you go. Bruno. I feel like part of you would go Bruno.

I'd probably go with Bruno. I do love Bruno. But I have no question I have to ask. That's the problem. I don't know, like... I don't have, like, too many gotcha questions, right? And I'm sure there's probably been times we've talked about these podcasts where we have them, but then, like, you know, we've forgotten about them, right? Yeah. I don't know if it would be something with, like, DC, and it would be, like, talking to Henry Cavill, find out what actually happened, you know, in between that stuff. Oh, no, actually...

if I speak crowd, actually the white whale is the fucking rock. Dwayne Johnson, and I don't know.

Oh man, actually, yes.

And that's what I would have... I don't know what I'd ask him. I would have to ask him something to do with the Papa 2 and stuff like, do you hate when you have to do these ads?

Let's talk about these products that you're pushing. Yeah.

Do you actually use or like any of these? Me and Kirk won't have to sit for hours and construct the perfect question, but actually Dwayne Johnson, because We get hit on so much. The movies, the memes, the wrestling stuff. I'd have the gimmick boys on deck too. Dwayne Johnson would be fantastic. And I actually still think Dwayne Johnson, the guy, I bet he's a fucking awesome, fun guy to hang out with. I think just when he's in Hollywood mode, he's a different guy. Kirkland, you don't think so?

What?

Oh, you just did a head nod. I just feel like.

I was just vibing with your cadence.

I just bet... if you're in the backyard at his place and there's a barbecue, no cameras, he has no ads to do that day.

I think very down to earth.

His real booze is there, not his fucking, whatever he's selling, the stuff he is actually drinking. Yeah, that'd be good.

Try some of my Papatouille I got here.

Yeah, you can name it. Um, Cruz, Cruz is another one.

I would love, I was thinking about Cruz, but like, I feel like it would just turn into the Seth Rogen.

Interview when he was... Oh, I don't care.

He tried to turn him to the Scientology side.

I've said to Emily, if I ever have the privilege of meeting Tom Cruise, because if people don't know this, I don't think you listen to If I Speak. You should. It's a great show. And then, Kirk, we should watch an interview of Vampire. We talked about Tom Cruise and Seth Rogen. He said at one time when they were... Like, Cruise wanted to do a comedy. They were hot off, knocked up, so they had a meeting with... It was Rogen, Apatow, and Cruise... And they're going back and forth, blah, blah, blah.

And then just randomly in the middle, he goes to Seth and he's like, man, if I told you what the real deal about Scientology is, it would blow your mind. It would blow your fucking mind. And Seth's like a new guy in Hollywood, like new worry. He's just like, oh, really? Yeah, and he didn't know what was going to happen. And Cruise keeps talking and talking. And Seth's like, fuck, I think he's about to pitch me Scientology. And Cruise is like, if you just give me five minutes. And then Judd, the guy cutting, he's like, no, no, no, we're just here to talk about the movies. We don't need to do any of that. And Brogan's like, oh, thank God he did because I thought he was going to convert me.

I've said to Emily... I would a thousand percent hear Cruz's pitch. Cause he's not going to convert me. I'm like a very asinostic person.

You say that now.

You say that now. He's going to open up with one of these.

Yeah.

And then you're just going to be in a trance.

You've never seen something like this before. Yeah. But no, because I, I think I'm pretty impressed with that stuff, but that's where he says it would blow your fucking mind. I would love, I would love to see Cruz and full Scientology pitch mode. And I have no problem. If he pitched me, go, you know, no, that didn't sound like for me, but thanks for the pitch. Cause I do it all the time. If you'll knock on the door, You know, I usually kindly say, eh, not for me.

Thanks for stopping by, but yeah, Cruise, I would love to... And I don't know what the question would be, though. What it would be. It would also have to be something to do with the Scientology stuff. I guess I would ask a very mean one. Not meaning to be mean, but I would ask a mean one. Just because of, like, personal stuff, too. I'm not going to say it on air.

I'm not going to say it on air.

About his kids? Is that what it is? Whatever you're talking about.

Something like that. Yeah, just like, there's just... I don't know. Okay, here's the thing. I'll preface this asterisk. I'll make a note. I do have a document of podcasts to pull down if we ever get famous. So I'll make a note on this one. I get the movies blow up. All we've heard or what we can speculate. So I'm talking as a simpleton that knows nothing. Now we're in if I speak territory. I know nothing, so maybe it's not that.

But seemingly from all we see on the outside and all we've heard about is that he doesn't really have much relationship at all with that kid he has with Katie Holmes. That's just for me as a parent. I could never understand that. I could, I'm not saying people, when they get older and people argue about this and money and blah.

Blah, blah.

I'm talking about when they're a fucking like four to five year old. And because your wife, your ex-wife doesn't want to go to Scientology and she has rights for the kid. And because it's the same way. If you look in this, his kids that he had with Nicole Kim and once they adopted, they kind of disowned her because they were Scientologists and she wasn't. And that's the idea in Scientology. When like in the close family stuff is if you're not in the, within the circle, you're, You're not in at all in our orbit. So that's where, and if that was true, that's why I'd love that clear up. But any kind of parent that does that, like, and I have someone in a family, a family relatively has the same situation that their dad fucking just bounced

when they were like three, four months old. Never saw him. Had no care to ever check up on them again.

Nothing.

I could never understand that. I could, I, that, and that's something for me. That's where, when people talk about like, oh, like he's misunderstood this, that, that right there as a down to human anatomy, just biological stuff. That for me is always a sign that I don't know if something's right there. That, that's just like a, to me, like, anything like that, if there's a fucking group of people that are telling me, like, oh, you can't see your kid because it's X, Y, and Z, that's fucking weird, and I'm sure, maybe, don't get me wrong, I'm sure, very financially supported kid, and I'm sure the mom loves it, and that's what I mean, maybe there's a situation where that's all secret, all behind closed doors, but just what.

We've heard, and that's for.

Anybody, if you got a kid out there, and you're not seeing them, that's fucking weird, that to me is like, I don't think I could actually be friends with anybody like that, like, good friends, I just think it's It's super odd. Even if it's long-term, that's fine. You see them every once in a while, but the people that don't see kids for years, so that's the uncomfortable question I'd ask on the podcast, and we'd get, oh, Taylor's that person. No, that's the question I would ask, and it would get super uncomfortable, but that's the only thing I ever thought, because that's my only time where I'm like, I don't even care about Scientology stuff. That's more the red flag for me of Cruise. It's like, how can

you not see when you're a kid? That's fucked up, you know?

You know what he's going to say, though?

Just having fun, man.

Making movies.

Big adventures. I'm having a great time.

Remember, the context of that answer is, what are you doing on Father's Day? And that's what he means.

You already know what he's going to say, man.

There is a reason why Christian Bale said he based his American Psycho performance on Tom Cruise. I think there's a lot of Tom Cruise-isms that, oh, Mr. Movies and this and that. I think there is a very big, even more so than Dwayne Johnson, I think there's a very big mask that guy has. And like I said, episode seven....

I was curious what he would have said. And of course, this is explicitly hypothetical. So I asked ShachiBT, I put in the same parameters that you said, Travis, the comedy movie. Right there. Oh, there you go.

Kirk is confused. That's our safety net, Kirk. When our films blow up, I log on to podcast feeds that night and get rid of these fucking episodes of stat.

Yes, I put the parameters in of what Tom Cruise would pitch to Seth Rogen, right? For Scientology pitch with Apatow there and whatnot. Because this is Judd Apatow, right?

Yeah.

Yeah, okay. So here we go. Here we go. I'm going to read it. Okay, Seth, Judd, listen. I love comedy. I love what you guys do. You make people laugh, right? Wait, did you chat GP do this?

Yeah, this is hypothetical.

I asked chat GP to take the parameters and just give me what Tom Cruise would pitch. Okay.

Jesus Christ.

I love what you guys do. You make people laugh, right? That's important. But what if I told you that you can make people laugh and help them achieve their full spiritual potential? Seth, you're a very talented guy. You have a gift. But what if there's a level beyond that? What if you could access parts of your mind that you don't even know exist? That's what Scientology is about.

It's about understanding the mind, understanding the spirit, and becoming more capable as a human being. And I'm sitting here thinking, we're talking about a comedy movie, which is great. But what if we could change the world? What if we could make a comedy movie that actually makes people better? I mean, think about it. That's incredible. And Seth, I'm telling you, you need to come in. Just come in for a few hours. We'll do some auditing. We'll talk about your goals. We'll get you to a place where you're really operating at your full potential. And I know you're thinking, Tom, I'm high a lot and I make dick jokes for a living. Okay, great. That's where you are right now. But imagine where you could be. Imagine

writing a screenplay for a total spiritual clarity. No writer's block, no distractions, just you, a keyboard, and the realization that you're an immortal soul Or sorry, an immortal spiritual being. Judd, you could produce the most spiritually advanced comedy in Hollywood.

A lot of spiritual in there. That must be a word in Scientology.

I think so. Seth, you could become the most enlightened stoner in human history. I'm serious. I'm absolutely serious. And listen, I don't want you to take my word for it. I want you to experience it. Because once you understand what Scientology can do for you, you're going to look at comedy, filmmaking, and life itself completely differently. So Seth, are you ready to take the next step? Because I am ready. I'm ready right now.

He would be that intense to me. All his interviews are just, he's an intense guy, you know? But I would love to talk to that guy and see what's going on, you know? What's up?

Do the episode in The Rock's backyard.

Oh, man.

It seems like a peaceful place.

Let's get The Rock and Tom Cruise together, you know? Let's see what that happens. The best buds are just ultra, just male dominance, like face, just like peacocking each other, just trying.

To be like Vin Diesel in The Rock.

Yeah.

This is Brazil. All right.

I'm asking us another specific question here, not to like a whole reason, but I was like... Five hours long.

Oh, shit.

Wow.

Well, I was just asking like if.

Tom Cruise's entertainment screen.

Yeah. He's here.

He's here to promote Digger.

I was just thinking like, oh, okay, like, you know, Travis from Geekverse podcast, what are the odds of like Tom Cruise being able to recruit him in Scientology? It just gave me Travis's pitch. It didn't tell me. You want to hear your pitch, Travis?

That he would pitch me? Yeah.

Okay, sure.

Let's see. I'll envision it. Tom's right there.

Travis, listen to me. I've been looking at what you're doing with Geekverse and I love it.

Thanks, Tom. It's awesome. I'd love to hear that. I respect you a lot on the business front. Yeah.

Movies, superheroes, Star Wars, Marvel, DC. You're talking about fictional universes every single day. But have you ever stopped and asked yourself, Travis, what if you're living in the wrong universe?

No, I haven't. I haven't yet, Tom. That is interesting.

I'm serious because Scientology is about understanding who you really are. And I look at you and I see potential. I see a guy who could be talking about the spiritual liberation of mankind instead of spending 45 minutes arguing about whether Marvel Phase 4 was good.

Wow, Tom, I liked you in this podcast. You just said it was great. Now you're shitting on my podcast right in.

Front of me?

He already lost me. He already lost me. Instead of 45 minutes of this. I like talking about Marvel stuff.

No, I'm not saying stop the podcast. Absolutely not. I want you to keep doing the podcast. But imagine Travis told you after you've unlocked your spiritual potential.

Oh, no.

Oh, man.

That would be a wild day. Imagine that. Travis goes on a meeting. Movie blows up. Has a meeting with Tom Cruise. Next, Travis told you. I'm just a completely different person.

You're just staring right at the camera the entire episode.

Yeah. I never mention my kids ever again.

No more rumors. No more leaks. Just you. Operating at a level of awareness that the entertainment industry has never seen before. You'd walk into a Marvel premiere and know things about yourself that Kevin Feige doesn't even know about the multiverse. And Travis, here's what I want you to do. I want you to come in. I want you to learn the technology. And I want you to understand what we're doing here. Because right now, you're reviewing movies about people who can fly, travel through time, literally come back from the dead. And I'm sitting here thinking, Travis, you're an immortal spiritual being yourself. Do you understand what I'm saying?

I know that.

You're already interested in extraordinary things. I'm just asking you to take that curiosity and apply it to your own existence.

I would probably, I'd take a little gander. I'd go in with him. I'd go in.

You'd keep going? Okay.

I would, I would like, because he said. That's your initiation, bud. Get in there. No, but yeah, because those places are hard. They have them locked down. If I speak, they had people that were like running through them and they were getting arrested. But because you're not supposed to go, you can only. You have to be escorted in there by people.

I know you're going to ask me if there's a Marvel connection. There isn't. There doesn't need to be. This is real life, Travis. And when you finally understand what I'm telling you, I want you to come back on Geekverse and tell Taylor, Dylan, and Kirk that Tom Cruise personally helped you achieve spiritual enlightenment. Imagine the episode title.

Tom Cruise Unlocked My Soul, 10 out of 10, no notes. That's true.

That would be the title.

I think me and Kirkland are going to call the If I Speak Tom Cruise episode that, and people are going to see that on their Nova K-Strike. Holy shit.

Unlocked My Soul.

If you did see that, I bet that would get a lot of clicks, you know?

Oh, yeah. But there you go. And you're going in. You're going into that room.

I'm ready, Tom. I'm ready to have a full conversation. I'm ready to hear all sides. Again, I know nothing. I'm a peasant. We just hear stuff because you're a celebrity. Rumors, stuff. Maybe all that stuff's complete bullshit. About kids, everything. I would love to have a conversation. I'd love to talk to almost anybody. Almost anybody.

All right.

Let's take an ad break and we'll be right back. All right, Kirkland. We're in the general news section.

There we go.

That's not that we don't love doing this podcast. It's just that Kirkland was like, yeah, this is going to be probably not a long one. And here we are. That was completely a lie.

I knew it was going to be long.

That's why I said that.

We'll cut what we've been watching. We can come back to that another time because that might take us for a little bit. We'll end on the general here. Oh, fuck. Oh, my God.

Breaking news.

No.

We've got ten trailers to watch, boys.

We didn't do Vision Quest predictions.

We gotta circle back.

Fucking Christ. Oh no.

Fucking Harry Styles, Chris Pine. videos we got to pull up. It's fucking Taylor doing an impromptu chat GPT link up.

And now the cutouts I've written down for Kirkland, they're so fucked up now because I don't know where with this fucking Chris thing. I got to edit Marvel Alliance after this fucking hell. Okay. Hell man.

If people haven't picked up on, it's Kirkland's night to do the newscast. Cutouts is the longest edit to do. But Taylor did last week, and I did Monday, so it is Kirkland's turn for cutouts.

Oh, God. When's the next newscast? Let me just see here.

We got... When's Vision come out? Is it next week?

Yeah, it's next week.

What kind of predictions would there even be? Like, quick fire, like, we can do 30 seconds. Who dies?

No one's dying. I guess I just feel bad because the episode last when me and Dylan had this, and Dylan's like, yeah, I haven't seen anything. Like, I don't know what to, like, it would just be me listening to you. So I'm like, oh, I'll kick it on Thursday because, like, the boys will be talking about it, and now we've gone on these rants and stuff. Yeah, sure.

A quick Okay, we'll rapid fire this. I guess, Taylor, quickly. We're one week away. Just an easy one. You excited for this?

Yes.

Okay. Kirkland, you excited?

Yeah.

I'm getting more excited. The wheels are starting to roll. It's starting to happen. Where is Vision going to be? Taylor, what are you actually most looking forward to in this series? Tommy?

Tommy? Is that his name?

Yeah, the other son.

Yeah, the other son. I'm excited for the other son. I was watching a clip that was showing the end of Agatha, which I downloaded a few of the Agatha soundtrack tunes because it's great Halloween music. It's pretty awesome, like Witch's Road and stuff like that. But anyways, you get the parallels. So you have the parallel of Wiccan with Agatha, and then you have him going through and seeing what's happening with his brother. And then it's paralleling to...

the scene with Tommy, just kind of like, I'm feeling someone else's fucking life in me, you know, shit like that.

Yeah.

I heard something.

I heard, but that's what you're looking most forward to is Tommy. Yeah. Yeah.

Cool costume.

I would say, yeah, you'll probably get the classic finale costume gimmick. I'm excited for that. I am legitimately excited because I think we all said at the end of WandaVision with, you know, SnowVision that, this guy has all these thoughts, but he didn't go through them. What is that going to do to him? And I'm very curious where he's been, what he's been doing, how he took that in. And I am also very excited to get Ultron back. Yes, it's going to be mostly James Spader and human-wise, but I'm excited to see what we could do there and have it in a longer form. Because I liked, got James Spader's quote about that this week where he said, you know, last time I played Ultron, that was a service to the Avengers story, where this

is an Ultron story along with Vision, right? So I'm like, okay, I like that as a pitch. And this is kind of like the closing out of this trilogy of, WandaVision and Agatha on this. I think I'm actually more excited than I originally, even just a couple minutes ago, thought, just because there is, yeah, Tommy, and there's Ultra, and then, yeah, how is Vision dealing with everything going on, and why is he not being super or doing anything?

Why do they say trilogy when this is the fourth project?

In what?

In the Wanda trilogy.

Well, you have WandaVision, Agatha, and Vision, the trilogy of TV shows.

Multiverse of Madness, though.

I don't think they're counting that, though.

No?

Really? Because it's not the same creative team. That's why.

Oh, okay.

And if you remember, there was a lot of... Elizabeth Wilson supposedly... I don't know. I can't say she wasn't happy, but it sounded like... I know Sam didn't watch it, and it sounded like the writers didn't watch WandaVision either before they wrote that movie.

Oh, really? Yeah. Well, that's just poor fucking planning.

Yeah, you would think so, right? That's coming from someone that likes Multiverse of Madness, but you would think that you would have, that would be like a must. But that's the way the MCU works, right? You have to shoot, you're on schedules, there's budget, so you don't have time, right? And that's why, even then too, I remember that story where Hemsworth was explaining to the Russos what they were doing on Ragnarok. When they were talking about Thor, he was like, oh, on Ragnarok, we're doing this type of hero, Thor, and we're doing this, and we're having a lot of fun there. So they had no clue. They were like, oh, cool.

I guess we'll incorporate some of that.

Good for you.

Yeah. It's our fucking movie, though. Kirk, what are you most excited for for Vision?

I really like the last trailer. I feel like my hype on the show was pretty lukewarm, but the last trailer definitely boiled it up a little bit to a rolling boil. I think I'm just reminded about how interesting the character of Vision is, James Spader. I hated him as Ultron just because it was just James Spader's voice as Ultron.

He sounded like a robot.

Him, like, in the human form, I'm like, this is awesome. I like it. It's going to be weird. It's going to be heady. He's totally going to be fucking with the psyche of Vision. I know it's not going to be the same, but I'm hoping for a little bit of, like, the mental mind trippery that... Fuck, I'm making up words now.

It's getting late. That WandaVision had, of course, where there's just some weird stuff going on. I imagine this show will have at least sprinkles of that. Um, I'm hoping I really like the character of Tommy. I really like Billy. So, um, yeah, I, I, I think, I think this will be a fun time. I'm going to be pretty disappointed if, if it's, if that's not the case, if it is just very bland.

I forget about it like right away. The run, I don't think there's a runtime under 46 minutes. So I don't think we're going to have the classic where it's like 22, like 21 minutes on the credits. So, and I guess we forgot to talk about, they've revealed that the first three weeks is going to be double batches.

And then episode seven and eight will be, single so the penultimate and the finale but uh so we will be reviewing those obviously in the the batches so uh and i thank them for as i joked in the discord for getting that out before gta because there's a couple weeks that we're gonna have and i was really worried too the weeks that they overlap with rings it's just one episode of vision when that was i'm like fuck is there gonna be an or uh one episode of vision and rings i was like fuck there's gonna be a week where we or night we're gonna watch like three lord of the rings and two visions and one night i'm like God damn, what's going to happen there?

But crisis averted. So we....

That was me on my second episode of Rings.

Ladies and gentlemen, when you get the bloopers in like two or three years for our third film, there's a good time with Kirkland and that clip there.

My eyes still hurt thinking about that.

My God, yeah, some good stuff. Um, what is the fate of Ultron when the series ends? Is he out back in the wild, ready to be a villain in a movie, a series, or is this like the, you know, um, programmed elite finally for Ultron?

I hope he lives. I think that'd be fucking dope. I think he's a sweet character. I mean, my, my lowest point on Ultron was the age of Ultron. I, I think I.

You won't get to What If Ultron. That's what you want.

Yeah, like, I didn't like the James Spader casting for it. I think the movie overall is just weaker amongst, like, that, especially that era of the MCU. Like, that was, like, peak.

You see the weakest Avengers movie, too.

Oh, yeah, for sure.

Maybe until December. We'll see. We'll see.

What If was really crazy and exciting, and especially, like, I just thought that character was just totally gone. That was, like, a whole next level of the character. Obviously, he's Infinity, Ultron, which is just an insane pairing. I don't think we're going to be getting that in the live action, but I think there's a lot of, like, a lot of juice that you can use with this super powerful character, and he doesn't necessarily... especially the other villains that we've had since him. He's not even the strongest by any means, but I think he would be a fun one to bring back because he's a familiar face, familiar character. So, yeah, I hope he lives on. Do I think that's happening?

I'm like 50-50 split. I would love to be surprised, but I feel like part of me is like, I don't know, they're just going to do this, he's going to be deleted, and then that's just going to be that. It'll be like the final closing of the chapter of Vision's history of like yeah Ultron now like he's this new version he's gonna be moving forward it's.

Also tough in a post Secret Wars Doomsday world right because if there is like a mini reboot like is it is there's two ways you'd be like hey in this new rebooted universe we'd like Ultron to stick around and we could have some fun there or it's like let's leave that in the past because we kind of want to like where they're gonna be some carryover obviously right but it's like yeah Ultron was kind of like a you know pre X-Men Fantastic Four universe thing it's like and it's where I'm I think I'm exactly with you where I'm A 50-50. I feel like in this show, they're going to do the snap and get rid of him for now, but it's comics. You always bring it back.

Or same thing, if you reboot it, if the universe gets semi-rebooted, could not another scientist be working on an Ultron? Remember in the comic books, it was Hank Pym that created him. What if when we get to the rebooted universe, we get a new actor playing Hank Pym and he's younger and he's like, oh, I got this fucking idea for this robot. And what if they don't have the memories of Ultron? I don't know. It's a tricky situation, so.

But yeah, I think he's also toast. I think that's going to be Vision's big moment of like, I've fucking achieved spiritual... I can touch you now. Yeah. What about you, Taylor? Is he altering in the big sleep or is he back?

I mean, when you look at the manifestation, the kids were able to come out of there because Wanda used her magic and so... Ultron just can be non-existing in the real world, I don't think. I think he's just going to be present in the mind of... Vision this whole time like the devil on his shoulder kind of a thing but.

About the twins though right they weren't real until they are now right.

They are now but that was with the help of Wanda so I don't see there being a time where Wanda helped like Wanda isn't around now so how can Wanda manifest Ultron out of nothing right.

One, we don't know if she's not around, so you got that. Two, you got her son, Wiccan. You never know what he's been up to.

Do you think Wiccan's going to be in here?

I guess it's two different questions. Do I actually think he's going to get something to do with Ultron?

No.

Do I think Wiccan's in here? Yes.

I hope he is. I want Wiccan to get a little bit more attention.

Yeah.

But is Ultron going to actually die, though?

Yeah, systemically.

I think this will seal the deal and he'll die, but what I want is for him to stick around. I'd love there to be a version of him that he gets all the Infinity Stones and he's looking like the what-if version. He's just souped up, right?

Yeah. Maybe when we get to phase 22 and we're six years old.

Talking about this. Like he listened to Tom. He went for that pitch.

He's risen. Yeah. Okay, so you talked about Wiccan. Is there any other characters from the MCU that you think could be in this Taylor Field?

Agatha.

Agatha.

Like Agatha?

Yeah. Ghost form, specifically.

She's just back alive.

They don't even mention it. Force ghosts.

Aubrey Plaza.

I like Plaza. Who would death be to have him do a vision here?

Well, the kids, right?

Wiccan? Well, yeah, but like, I don't know. I don't think here. I think we're getting more. I think Wiccan's going to tie into things, but I don't think we're getting too magical here. I think we're getting more. tech-based, and I think if you bring Aubrey Plaza's death, that's a whole other coat of paint, you know?

Yeah, that's true. Well, hmm.

Downey, you know, he created him, Jarvis.

That would be pretty wild to put Downey in there, but maybe Ironheart, you never know.

What would she be doing in the 60s?

Get out of here. Get out of here with that.

I got nothing.

Jesus.

I got nothing.

Okay.

Gargum? Wanda.

Really? I think Wanda's going to be in this.

I think it's going to happen. I think for sure. I think Vision's going to see her or something or have a vision of her. No pun intended. but um no yeah i i think that would be a uh a big moment obviously it'd be pretty wild to have that in the show not in the big movie but he's so tied to her i don't know i'm at pizza bay on that i'm not like a super high percentage but like i'm upwards of 50 i would say like like over 50 chance of it happening.

Sounds like pizza bet material.

I kind of want to take it because I feel like it would be like a spicy holy shit moment and then obviously it would just be compounded on the fact that I won a pizza off you.

Yeah, that'd be a pretty good moment.

I'm going to say no.

I just feel like the reason I don't think that's happening, I think they want to save that big return for the movies, whether it's Doomsday or Secret Wars.

What movie?

What? Doomsday or Secret Wars.

There's too much stuff in there. No one's going to care about Wanda.

That's a lie. First of all, people are going to care about Wanda.

No one's going to even know who that is.

And how do we start talking? One of our first rants tonight was about the Endgame portals. You talk about too much going on. These movies are the definition of too much going on. They can get fucking Wanda to fly back in. I wouldn't pizza bet you on which one, because also she could be one of those witches, right?

We've talked about that. And she could pop up there. So I wouldn't pizza bet you on which one, but I just think they want to save that for the movie of she's back and she also died in a movie right like multiverse of madness like that's where she went out was not the show so i i almost have it in my mind that maybe she is revealed to be one of the witches in doomsday and then in secret wars you got vision billy and wick and i guess maybe agatha but she's not as important those three kind of snap her out of what's going on like if she sees her family she no longer will be like the right hand woman to doom and she's like a you know possessed witch or whatever she's doing.

Who knows?

Maybe she's not possessed. Maybe she's doing it by herself. But I think that's what's going to happen is Doomsday kind of sets up like, oh, Wan is still doing mischievous evil shit. And then Secret Wars is like, we got to get our, we got to get mommy back, you know? We got to do that. So that's what I'm thinking.

Got to get mommy back. Yeah.

Other than that, I think Agatha, I'm 50, I'm 50, I'll say I'm 51 against. I feel like it's just going to be focused on Wiccan because I feel like if Agatha pops up as Vision, we're like, who the fuck is this? It's a ghost. Like, I think there's too much you got to get into. I think they just want the scene of Vision seeing his other son and they want to just do that. And they want the scene of Wiccan with Billy and their adults finding each other. I don't think they want to bring in the ghost aspect yet because I just think that gets, it might take away from it, right? I could be, that's what I'm saying, 51 to 49. She could easily be floating around there. And as far as the MCU, there's always other, we always know there's going to be

someone like a Jimmy Woo, right? I'm not saying Jimmy Woo, but there's always somebody like that where it's like, all right, of course they're in this. We didn't think about that or they hit it. I don't know. So I'll say it's going to be one of those type of characters that we would have never thought of. And then when it happens, like, oh, yeah, makes complete sense. So that's what I'm thinking. But I, yeah, there's no one else specifically I can get to. Taylor Field, what is the end credit of, is there an end credit? And if there is, what is the end credit?

I'm going to say no. No end credit.

Oh, okay.

And if there is, maybe it's Wong or something.

What's Wong doing? That's what I'm doing.

He is doing something.

I won't play it. I'll hold off.

Hold off on what?

That's a little build up. They're saying we still got a whole other segment left.

Why do we ever get rid of that?

I don't think we had it. I think you're right that it was probably just super fucking loud at one point, and that's why. But I don't remember it ever being here. I remember us using the phone, and I remember using it when we were filming. I was playing that, and it kept making me laugh. Okay, so no end credit. Kirkland, get an end credit here?

Man.

I don't think we're getting a season two of Vision Quest.

No.

So does that... add or take away from the chances of there being an end credit i'll say yes there is an end credit hinting at where vision's going next or just a character that's tying the events to this to you know the avengers stuff that's going to be uh coming up so yeah i will say yes but not like a super strong.

Yes yeah again i'm 50 50 in this because a lot of shows haven't had that and for me Like, if Wiccan's in the show, which I think he is, Billy, is that, like, how you end the show, or is that the end credit? Is Vision and Tommy and their adventure, it's like, oh, what a crazy time, and all emotionally satisfying, and then it's like, oh, here's the end credit, or do you want that to end the show? I'm going to lean to ends the show, and I think I'll be agreeing with Taylor that I don't think no end credit, unless there's something they can tie to Doomsday, but I doubt that, so I'll say no, but I'm very unsure.

It's very... It's very iffy. Could go either way to me, you know?

You know what's weird is that Billy and Tommy are not biologically related to their mom.

What the fuck do you mean?

Well, no, because they're just memories and like a soul that came into the body, right? So they're not biologically related to Wanda. Because she gave birth to them in the town, but then their spirits went out and left their bodies that were biologically related to Wanda and then jumped into these other bodies.

I just wanted to, like, why I just wanted them. They're big rams.

You ever fucked your mom?

Vision doesn't count because he's the robot.

Okay, I guess. That's true. You just sing all her out. But, yeah, no, it's true. They're just souls. What's wrong? What's wrong? Something happen?

No.

Just souls in a vessel. That's what they are. That's it? Was there a reason you pointed out why they're not biological? No, no, no.

I was just thinking like, oh shit, they're not related to Wanda.

Yeah. I'm just surprised this didn't come up on the Agatha reviews.

It probably should have, yeah.

It's two years too late. Anything else?

We'll edit those episodes.

Yeah, let's go tonight. Can we re-record the one episode we talked about that and we'll put it back in there? Anything else on Vision Quest?

No? Let's skedaddle.

We still got one more topic, Kirkland.

I know.

Let's skedaddle on the next one.

Because I looked at next week. I'm not throwing these at Dylan because Dylan's going to be like, Sonic, Transformers, what the fuck are you doing to me? He's going to look at the news. He's going to see the topics next week. He cannot speak to these. He cannot speak to these. Sorry, Taylor. Okay. Here's our last three.

And we'll do this. We'll throw them out there. Live action, Cyberpunk 2077. I'm going to be in the works at Paramount. So, you know, making moves. They're going to be making a new live action Ghostbusters. We're going to be called Nightmare on 34th Street in the work from the Sonic writer of Sonic 2 and 3. And then, Taylor, you can start us off. You're going to talk about them all, but you can start with this. There's been talks about it.

Steve Spielberg is moving into the primary producer role for the next Transformers pick with Michael Bay in early talks to direct. Both these things have been rumored before. They also announced that the G.I. Joe Transformers film is cut. That's done. That's over. But obviously Transformers had a heyday with those two, if you don't remember, Spielberg produced those other ones and Bay directed them. So how are you feeling?

Are you ready? Do you think they can recapture that magic in your soul or do you think... think it's over you think it's be washed.

So you think they can't get back there i i think transformers had a a brief period there in the in the 2000s era where that it hit and it hit it hit good because again you're dealing with cgi kind of taken off and all these different different ways of just oh yeah different ways of really popping off on the big screen right so When you look at what Transformers did, I remember watching some interviews with Michael Bay when they were saying, okay, if we're going to do the Transformers movie, we've got to make sure that they have to look good. That's the biggest part. Because if they don't look good, people are not going to turn up and it's just going to be absolute shit.

And their team fucking did it. The CGI is phenomenal in those movies. But I don't know if we're just in that era anymore where A new one will kind of take off. Now, what I personally want, and just the fact that Michael Bay is back blows my mind, but what I want is for Michael Bay to come back and do his true Transformers 6 movie. I want him to get full reigns back on that, but I know that's not the case because he was handed a script and whatnot. Do you know this?

Were you talking to Cruise about this?

No, but I know that there was a script that was provided for Michael Bay and he looked at it or whatnot. Because I was reading into the odds of them pursuing that actual sixth movie. And I don't feel like that's necessarily what Michael Bay is going to do. Although they haven't confirmed it or not.

Yeah, I don't know. I think that's some speculation on your part. I know the video you're talking about, but he's looking at a bunch of scripts. That doesn't mean.

A bunch of scripts?

Well, I thought so. And plus, did he write those other Transformers movies? Yes.

That I do not recall.

I'll look while you're talking.

Cause I just, I just felt like that was his kind of his MO. I mean, you know, being in the earth that just feels like a Michael Bay kind of thing.

Cause it just, and the dialogue just feels a lot like Michael Bay. It does. Yeah.

Especially when you look at Ninja Turtles, again, Michael Bay, it's just the two.

He just produced that.

I don't think he just produced it. I thought he directed it. So technically he brought Fox back.

Technically he did not. He's only written one thing. It was a Colin James music video. Oh wait, no, I was wrong. Thank God. That was, wait, no, Oh, no, producer. Yeah, he's only written one thing, something for a music video. So he only has one writer credit. He is his producer and director. So technically he did not write any of those Turtles or Transformers movies.

Hmm, okay.

So obviously still, he's a director. He has his input, right? He says, oh, let's do this, let's do that. But he didn't technically write the screenplays for any of those.

Okay, well, that's good.

So someone could have handed that script and he's like, yeah, here we go. Because I... I don't know why you don't make it the sixth one. Like, to me, if you're bringing Michael Bay back, I feel like you're clearly trying to go for an audience. You should try and go for that audience. Now, to me, is that audience still there? I don't know. But, like, if you're going to reboot it, to me, if you reboot it, then you go for a different vision. You're just going to reboot with the same guy. And they did, right? They did do the reboot.

But, yeah, that's the weird thing. Like, you're going to have him reboot this franchise, and he's already done the five movies. Like, it's just as weird to make an ask of that sense. Like, I hope. Again, without the legendary voice of Optimus Prime kicking around RIP, it's unfortunate. But I think they use all the lines that they have because, I mean, Optimus Prime, he doesn't have to say a lot.

He says the same shit again.

Well, I mean, he doesn't have to say a lot, but it's not like they don't have a lot of dialogue, like lines, right? How many animated projects and all the live-action movies? There's so many lines that they can pull from where they can just clip it together and do different line work. And again, it's not like his physical...

appearance you know uh in in the film right it's optimus prime cgi so there's a little bit of leeway but what do you got.

I don't know for sure too but i think i think he might have allowed ai to take his voice because i just seen something here pure because hasbro is developing authorized artificial intelligent version of optimus prime and other core characters through six wall studio collaboration with 11 labs Peter Cullen's involvement. Peter Cullen, the iconic voice actor, who passed away in August of 2026, collaborated with Hasbro on the initiative while he was alive, using a system built from authorized recordings and new material, rather than an unauthorized clone.
