I like to think Chris writes his own cold opens the way actors do their own stunts. It's like, do you hear Chris Crofton writes his own cold opens to shows?

I got a good one. I got a good one. I've got a whole file of cold opens. Cold opens. You know me. You know me. I'm not leaving anything to chance. I know that. It's a paper file.

Yeah.

It's physical. It's a Rolodex. It's right next to my birth certificate. And my next of kin documents. I run out of the house during like earthquakes holding my cold opens. Cold open birth certificate, social security card. Don't forget my cold opens.

People love them.

You can't go in there. It's a three alarm fire. My cold opens are in there. We got to get the cold opens. It's the only thing the oligarchs like. Why didn't you say something sooner? Get him in there. His cold opens are burning. We can trade these cold opens for food. Could have kept me warm at night. Oh, my God.

What would you grab from your house if it was other than your cold? So you have your cold opens. You left those in your car. What else would you grab from your house if it was burning down for us?

I wouldn't realize that I had my Instagram already on my phone. Get my Instagram. No, you don't understand my Instagram. My Instagram's in there. No, it's everywhere your phone goes. Oh, thank God. What about the one that's at home? Yeah, what about the one that's on the computer on the desk? You know what, man? Why don't you go ahead? Go run back in there, man. Exactly. See you later. Have fun looking for your Instagram. Jesus Christ. You come out somehow.

You've retrieved it. You're like, what the fuck? This guy kept yelling hashtag help. Hey, what's going on the internet?

Welcome to season 461, episode 2 of the Daily Zeitgeist.

A production of iHeartRadio.

This is the podcast where we take a deep dive into America's shared consciousness through the day's news.

Also, if you're new around here, welcome. Okay?

You have reached one of the best second-rate podcasts in existence on the Internet.

And if you don't, you know, maybe you said, I want something that's not news all the time.

We'll check Mondays. That's where we do the icon episodes. And right now, since we're in spooky October, we're doing all kinds of spooky shit. We've talked about Hannibal Lecter, Dracula, talking ghosts. this week with Jack Wagner from Otherworld Podcast. So please check that one out. That's every Monday morning.

You'll know it's a different episode because the logo's different and it says icons.

On the front. Anyway, where does that leave us? Yes, it's us.

October 20th, 2026. It's World Osteoporosis Day.

Oh, shit.

Okay, for those of us with.

Ailing, aging parents, please, please, Please encourage them to do some kind of resistance training so their bone density can be helped. It's also International Chef Day, National Day on Writing, National Youth Confidence Day, and shout out statistics and all the statisticians.

It's World Statistics Day.

For all the number crunchers that work on basketball teams, baseball teams, and things like that, hey, we love you statisticians.

We love you. do stuff too that's like is actually meaningful for.

Keeping the world going uh so anyway that's tuesday october 26 me i am still miles gray aka the shogun with no gun the lord of lancashire.

I'm stepping into the main post role because jack is on assignment uh so that means i am joined today by my guest co-host One of my fellow Philadelphians, as the algorithm has dubbed me, a Delco native.

The guy who gave us plumpers. The guy who gave us daddy long legs. The guy who's given us constant laughs. Please welcome one of my favorites.

And yours, Blake Wexler. Hey, this is Blake Wexler, a.k.a. Blakeula Hexler.

And thank you to Snarfula for that. So this is a new tick that I have. You could have been Blackula. But that's good. No, I couldn't have.

I don't know if that made it from the cold open where you may have been one of the clumps, but you weren't.

Now you have to find the picture of that costume where you wrapped yourself in bubble wrap and almost had like heat stroke. Because I need to see what it was all for. I would love to be able to find that.

Yeah. Anyway. That was before photography, I believe. But I think... A painting was made.

Yeah, you stood very still as the man did the sulfur flash or whatever they made that shit out of. Anyway, Blake, we're thrilled to be joined by another fucking legend of the show. What? One of our favorites. Look, you might know him from Advice King. You might know him from Cold Brew Got Me Like. You might know him as one of the greatest musicians to ever grace this show.

But to us, he's the man with esoteric interests who's putting us on to new YouTube videos constantly. And the man who has the caffeine jitters. Please welcome Chris Crofton.

Even Chris Crofton. Thoughts arrive like Chris Crofton's. Hell yeah. But he don't know. So he chases Chris Crofton away. Hell yeah. Ooh. I'm guessing you hated Pearl Jam, right? I fucking love Pearl Jam. Oh, you like Pearl Jam?

Wow.

It was one or the other. Okay. I mean, there's no opinion on Pearl Jam whatsoever. No, I loved them for a minute there, man. If you watch their 1993 Video Music Awards performance. Okay. When they perform with Neil Young. Oh, Keep On Rockin' in the Free World, right? And they smashed all their instruments, man. As much as I was a Jesus Lizard fan and a snob and everything, I'm all about somebody who gives a shit. And for that moment, even though Eddie unfortunately morphed into sort of what he raged against, uh, he was for a moment like really trying, you know, that was when they did keep on rocking in the free world. Yeah, he did. They did animal, which was the first song off of, uh, first single

off of versus, you know, and, uh, that was like a pretty raging song for Pearl jam. I mean, like they, that was like, uh, I thought Pearl jam was going to be like, um, you know, some kind of noise band or something. Like for a minute, I was like, oh my God, Pearl Jam's going my direction. They didn't go all the way. Yeah. But they did make a few great records. And I'm like, not, it's not popular among my music snob friends to say that you like Pearl Jam at all. Because there's a lot of people who are like, fuck Pearl Jam.

Yeah, I don't know. The yarling of Eddie Vedder, I think is just, we have to, we have to bow and be prostrate before that and say thank you.

I mean, he meant it. It was fun when he meant it. Like he was trying to be Fugazi, which I just thought was also kind of cute. You know, I also found Eddie kind of cute at that time. Yeah, yeah, yeah. He's a very little, little man. He's a little tiny man and he's extremely mad for a bunch of reasons I'm sure that we don't know about. Like just mostly just being really small.

Sure.

And he just decided to sing his little big, actually his big ass lungs out about it. And I enjoyed it for a little while. I like picturing his lungs too. Yeah, just getting huge. And his little body cavity. He's got like, he could be, If he was a different century, he would have been in a freak show for people with huge lungs. Watch me blow up this gigantic balloon with one breath. Yeah, exactly. Because that guy makes more noise than...

Eddie the Lone is the better. Yeah. People that small aren't designed to make that much noise, usually.

Yeah.

Well, Chris, good to see you. We're going to give a quick preview of some of the stories we're talking about today.

Elon Musk, kind of look.

Usually when he's unveiling some wacky new thing, it's because he's desperate. So he must be desperate because this dude just unveiled a fucking flying car. So we're at flying car level bad of distraction for Elon Musk. We'll also talk a little bit about a new convenient argument I've noticed that would justify censorship or voter suppression, which is like, just blame a computer glitch. Because this has happened twice now in the last week where I'm seeing something like this.

And I think it's probably going to be the new normal way that we will see rights rolled back or increased censorship.

Then we will check in Apu from The Simpsons made his first appearance since 2017 on The Simpsons on Sunday.

I just want to touch on that because that was like a story like was something we talked about the very early days of the show. And it's been that long and Apu has made an appearance recently. And then finally, we will check in with one of our favorite cryptids, because I know, Chris, you know, you know a little bit about the Bigfoot culture. And there's some news about the very famous, I believe, 1967 Robert Patterson film.

Like, hello. You mean like my home movies? You know, the most famous Bigfoot clip.

Yes.

You were the first assistant director on that, right? I was. Yeah. In spirit.

He's unit production manager on that one. So we'll talk about that and a new revelation that you will not believe. Apparently it was fake, but now there's like real.

Oh man, I'm so mad about that. I know about it. Yeah, yeah, real nailed on shit. All of a sudden they found some footage of people putting on the suit or whatever. Get the fuck out of here. Disgusting. He's real. Fuck it. Get the fuck out of here.

Chris Croftone, what's something from your search history that's revealing about who you are, what you're into right now?

Okay, well there's two things. There's one thing that's serious and We'll take up too much time, but I'll bring it up anyway. But that'll be, I'll bring it up and we'll do a short, but that's depressing. I mean, not depressing. It's relatable, but it's pretty annoying. And that's about a new antidepressant I'm on. So if you go on a new antidepressant, then you have to Google that.

Like you have to go on Reddit and you read about it. And because the doctor will say, you know, this is good. You should try it. And then you're like, wait a minute. You go on Reddit. They're like, my eyeballs fell out. So, uh, so like I'm going through that, but I've been also just doing my podcast and, uh, cold brew got me like, and, um, when we have a break in the podcast, I usually put up a stick in a vintage coffee commercial and I've been using, um, that's awesome. Bionic Disco is the YouTube channel that just has collected vintage coffee commercials. I don't understand where they get them. I don't know if their uncle worked at the TV station. I don't know if people mail them 16mm reels. I just don't know where they get all

these commercials. Holy shit. Dude, this is like a goldmine. Yeah. I just want to know who's doing it. So this is how this play one that I just used. I usually use a coffee commercial. And it's also a lot, like, ties into Elon's flying car and stuff. Like, there's never been a time where people aren't like, the future is now because of some bullshit. And so, U-Band Coffee announced the future because they had freeze-dried coffee. And they basically had an ominous dystopian ad being like, coffee has changed forever and you have to accept it. You know, like, in an ominous, like, don't try and fight it. It's freeze-dried now. Wow. And it was like... Which one is it?

I'll play it. Well, that's U-Band. I don't know where that one is. That's U-Band. They have too many U-Band commercials, but this Coffee Rich commercial is pretty funny because it's a creamer, but it's just worth it. I'll play it real quick. Oh, here. I'll play it on the thing. Okay, Coffee Rich commercial with Ed McMahon. If you're old, you know, real old, Ed McMahon was... For the kids listening to the show. Holy shit. It's just. He's like doing a whole presenter spiel. Okay, so here, let's. Anyway, this product sounds amazing. It's still on the market, but no one markets it this way anymore than I know of. That's because Ed McMahon's dead. Craziest thing I've ever said. No one markets it this way as I know of. And

now Coffee Rich presents that master of magic and good taste, the great Gormando. Ladies and gentlemen, I've got something that'll do wonders.

So a guy just pulled up to a nice little magician's table and he's got a tap top hat and a magic wand.

It's for your taste buds. Tap the hat. Coffee Rich. Pour it in coffee to let more coffee flavor come through. Pour it on fruit, blueberries, strawberries. Pour it on fruit? Use it in muffin batter and watch those muffins disappear. Slight miscalculation, my dear. Oh, they both disappeared. Take it from Ed McMahon. When it comes to taste, Coffee Rich really pours it on.

Okay.

What the fuck? He said cream could make coffee taste more like coffee. Yeah, I was like, what the fuck? Which I like a lot. I like that claim. Yeah.

Can't be true sounds exactly what you want it's like well yeah i want my coffee to taste more like coffee and this milk does that yeah.

And then you can pour it on berries he doesn't claim that it makes berries taste more like berries.

But just like berries yeah it's funny too because like the 70s was like peak bullshit food too where it's like yeah man i have a bowl of berries and i just pour a whole thing of half and half on it it's my fucking breakfast every day um.

Right and they're like Berries taste better with half and half on them. And it's like, yeah, because you like the taste of half and half. You like fat. You like milk fat. Let me guess. You also like butter. Oh, I love this stuff. Yeah, yeah. I love this stuff. I love eating it. You know what really brings out the taste of broccoli? Huge amount of cream.

This channel is fucking amazing, Chris. It's got 36,000 subscribers, and they have so many fucking commercials from the 70s.

Yeah, I really don't understand where they get them because you can't get them out of thin air. I mean, if I had to go find a 1974 coffee-rich commercial, I wouldn't know where to look if it wasn't for Bionic Disco. This is impressive. So, yeah, you've been one. You can find it on my most recent podcast. It's just sort of funny because it's just this sort of like there's no turning back. Coffee's freeze-dried now.

There's a commercial it's your fault they say it in the commercial yeah.

Like don't fight now but think about how much better it was when we had you know like now it's the same message about ai like don't even bother it's a given ai is here yeah yeah that's the way they announced freeze-dried coffee but we didn't know and i'm sure there are people who are like freeze-dried coffee's a that's too far we've gone too.

Far yeah yeah yeah no this is i'm gonna burn the factory down if that's what we're doing with our technology except they weren't like Which.

Part is freeze-dried? Is it like the beans? Is it the liquid? What is being... The ground. Is it not clear? Yeah, like whatever you're... I still don't know what freeze-dried is. People don't know either. They're like, yeah, well, we dried out through the freezing process. Yeah, I guess. I don't know. Look, it's three idiots trying to fucking figure it out right now on this show.

We'll just say it's fucking tight and there's no use resisting it except it.

Chris, what's something you think is underrated? Underrated, I was going to say, well, I asked my roommate for fun. I was like, what's something underrated and overrated? For overrated, she said car wash is overrated. Or no, underrated, she said a car wash. Like a drive-thru one? And I said, why? Yeah, drive-thru one. And I said, why? And she said, because they're fun. That's true. It's like a ride, you know?

But you don't really get an experience like that.

That is good, though. That was all I got. I was like, I'm going on this podcast where they asked me what's underrated and overrated. She said, underrated, car washes because they're fun. Overrated tiki drinks. And she did not elaborate why, and then she left.

I agree.

I think it's true, too. Spot on. Tiki drinks are also, like, not... Is she running for office? I could really get behind someone with this kind of worldview. Yeah. So, but back to overrated, like, I guess I'll switch. Whatever it is now, underrated? Underrated? There's no way to know for sure. Underrated is, like...

Underrated is not being able to say the first thing you said... Because you forgot, you went on too long about bionic chicken or whatever that YouTube account is. Bionic disco. So, yeah, just back to the antidepressant thing, just in case.

Yeah.

Like, if you're on Vybrid, I'm trying Vybrid, V-I-I-B-R-Y-D, and it's got me awake. Like, I'm less likely to take a nap.

Oh, yeah, because sometimes they can make you sleepy. Or, you know, then depression makes other medication to like keep their energy up at the same time.

I've been sleeping my whole life. You know, just, I've always been like, I wish I could sneak away and take a nap. Now I'm woke, but you're nice. Hell yeah. Off-fibrid. But like, it does make me awake, but I can't figure out if I'm anxious a little bit from it and a little bit too, I don't know, a little edgy.

But then, but then I can't also, I could be edgy just because I'm not used to being awake. Yeah. But I'm also crying at stuff that maybe I don't usually cry. I would cry. I was watching last night. I watched over and over David Bowie and Annie Lennox's performance of Under Pressure by Queen at the Live Aid.

And I just kept crying. So I think that's probably... I'm like, I don't know if that's like... Right, right, right. Right, but I'm not sure if Vibrant is making me care about that more than I should. Yeah, or maybe it's revealing.

something deep-seated that you really were moved by Annie Lennox's performance.

But no, I am. That felt like a nice cry, right? It was incredible. I recommend watching that. Annie Lennox steals the fucking show. I'm all about Annie Lennox lately. Annie Lennox, man, I'll tell you about her later. I got another thing later, a piece of media. Okay, yeah, fuck it. Thank you, Miles, for helping me with this format. I've only been on this show 70 times. 7,000 times. Still can't do it. Underrated.

I can't unpack this format. I don't understand it at all. Underrated. Annie Lennox. The song Why. Why. I sang that at my show the other night. And I felt better than I've ever felt in my whole life. Wow. Just from singing that song. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So, like... that's beautiful.

Yeah.

And Annie Lennox, like the story of Annie Lennox, which of course is the story of this performance on live aid is going around on Instagram, which is fucking so annoying. Sometimes you find out stuff. It's actually interesting on Instagram, which is just as humiliating as looking at someone in a bikini. It's all humiliating for some reason, like finding it out through Instagram just ruins it. Even if it's a good thing, like capitalism is bad. I found it out from Instagram. So I feel worse. Um, but anyway, on Instagram, there was this, like an interview they showed, I guess from recently with that channel two news guy who interviews the musicians and he's all dead serious. Like it's maybe like CBS this morning or something, you know,

and CBS of course is a fascist. It's been taken over, but there's music division is still like the same. It's like just some white guy being like, what was it like to work? Right. You know, just like fucking holding his face, like totally still after he said that for like 10 minutes. And, uh, As if that's the most important thing going right now is finding out what it's like to work with David Bowie.

What was it like working with this guy who died?

Well, that's all we have time for. All right. Well, more on that later, Andy. We're going to have to go to a break. So, Andy Lennox just told the story of doing that performance at Live Aid. And just it's a great story. So, look it up. I mean, the guy who interviews her is a fucking idiot.

I mean– Because he's not interested in the art of it? He's just kind of asking boilerplate questions? Or is it you're just like, I should have been asking it?

I should have looked this up. But he's the guy who does the interviews on, I think it's CBS this morning, where they have him ask people questions in a dead serious manner. And it's supposed to be a fancy academic. He's just an overly- Isn't that Bob Woodward? Bob Woodward? The guys who rolled the Watergate scandal? Better not be.

That'd be interesting. Oh, please don't say that. He'd be more aggressive. Hopefully. But anyway, it doesn't matter. Annie Lennox, yeah, she just got this dress because David Bowie was like, what are you going to wear? She's like, I hadn't thought about it. He told her to go to this expensive designer and she picked this expensive dress that she wouldn't have ever gotten. But she was like, David Bowie told me to. She was like in awe. She loved David Bowie. So she was just so thrilled to be doing this show. So David Bowie's like, go get this dress from this designer. She bought this $ 8, 000 dress. And then she gave herself backstage without telling David Bowie or anybody.

She gave herself the makeup from Blade Runner that Daryl Hannah's, you know. Oh, right. Yeah. So she gave herself the black eyes of, and she said it was modeled on Blade Runner, which was out around then. And she just came out and she just fucking killed it. Like in a way that's just like, just so beautiful. And she grabbed David Bowie and like, like embraced him and like put her lips up right against his face. And like, she, none of that was planned. And she was like, I was so nervous to do it, but she's like, this is a once in a lifetime thing. I'm just going to go after it. Like I, she's like, I didn't even really plan it. I just grabbed him and she was rubbing his shoulder and she had his face right

up against his face and saying under pressure. Cause that song's also just like such an incredible song. And she's saying under pressure and he's under pressure. Cause she's got her lips like right next to his lips and he's just standing there straight looking ahead. And then they part at the very end. And it's just like the crowd goes ape shit. for something you're supposed to go apeshit, not for some idiot politician saying transgender people shouldn't be in sports or whatever. I mean, it's just like seeing someone cheer for the right shit.

For like, yeah, a moment of genuine artistic expression enjoyed by thousands of people simultaneously in a moment of organic effervescence.

It's worth watching, and Annie Lennox is just a monster artist and... I just had never thought about her until recently. And I started doing the show and we were trying to figure out songs to play during the show. And we decided to do why. And, uh, it was my roommate plays keys. So he had it all dialed in.

So it sounded exactly like the keys on that song. And I was wearing white makeup. I'll get into it later. But like I sang that with like makeup on wearing like, in this crazy show I started and I got to sing that song dead seriously. And it was just like the most art man still will make you forget all about these flying cars, man. And it's like, it's true.

That's like the thing about music.

Like I also find myself, I was like moved watching a performance of just like these kids jamming together where like they, it was just like this moment where like they figured out they were making something like they had figured out something like together, like just jamming.

And there's like this spark you can see in their eyes.

And I was kind of like, damn, Bryce, I remember when I was doing that shit all like that was all I was playing music for was like to chase that feeling of like making something with other people and clicking. And be like, fuck, dude, we just fucking made magic because we're just out here expressing ourselves on instruments. Maybe we don't know how to express ourselves the best way in other ways. But like when we're in here, shit clicks.

And yeah, I totally get that.

I do wonder if that's going to be like a byproduct of like all the fucking shitification of society with like AI and like algorithms and all that shit is that. More often, you're just going to be walking out in public and stumble upon, like, a true human moment and then just burst into fucking tears, like, uncontrollably, you know?

Yeah.

Just whether it's like, like to your point, like whether it's kids doing something completely innocent and human or, you know, like whatever it is, I do wonder if that's something, because I even feel that every once in a while. I'm like, fuck, I'm getting like really choked up right now. Everything feels so synthetic too, you know, and like, it's a creation.

You gotta get on Reddit and find out if it's the Vybrid or the Annie Lennox thing.

Yeah it's a new subreddit that's a subreddit r vibrant or annie lennox you have to go i couldn't.

Sleep either from the vibrant at first like at all like i mean i didn't just have trouble sleeping i couldn't fuck yeah it's like so inappropriate Anyway, so I'm just trying. I don't think a pill will fix it. I'm not trying to look for, you know, because I know people are like, maybe you just need to. Yeah, it's a balance of things. But my family's full of people who have problems with their brains. It's a thing about genetics. Sometimes those things are passed down. And they're mostly like, they don't hurt people. The people from my tribe that have problems with their brains, they usually end up hurting themselves, you know. So I'm trying not to, I'm trying to like, you know, Make sure I take

care of myself because I want to be here to fight for this, for this, for Annie Lennox over Peter Thiel, you know.

Well, I was also reading, too, like there's a lot of people have been talking about, you know, what's happening with France and like the protests there. And a lot of times people are like, you know, like this older activist was talking about, it's like at a certain point, like you have to realize when like the energy is like with younger people and think about like, is it, is it as much as like what you're doing with your generation or how your generation sort of synergizes with what younger people are doing to find that thing to keep pushing? Because a lot of people will just be like, Oh man, like what do, what do I do or whatever?

And it's like, you might, you might have to be out there like helping these kids or talking to these kids or just understanding what their whole perspective is on what they're going after. And like figuring out how to sort of support that without sort of like the sort of framework you might've had from your generation on how change is supposed to come. But it's very interesting time right now.

Right. And also like getting to the, getting, finding out or figuring out or thinking about maybe that version of things, even it seems frightening, but maybe being out in the street with a bunch of people, half your age, will feel better than being in your room scrolling through instagram you know so you always feel like whatever is different is gonna be bad one just while you mentioned france this guy named the other darius put on threads someone wrote why the fuck can't why the fuck can't america have balls and be like france and he wrote they will dead ass blow us the fuck.

Up yeah well and i think also like there's this like a lot of the times i find myself doing it too like we fetishize.

We're like damn bro, the fucking French man, they fucking get out there.

But also we have to realize too, like when, again, there's, there's, there are certain sparks that occur over people's outrage over how they're oppressed and like knowing when those moments come and how to support that I think is also the name of the game too.

Cause it's, The French were always rioting. They rioted about freeze-dried coffee. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Once they heard about that, it makes the fucking coffee taste more like coffee.

They know what's up. They're like, what, you ban? Get Ed McMahon's ass fucking now. Freeze-dried coffee's the future? I don't fucking think so. There goes another Belfry. All right, let's take a quick break.

When we come back, flying cars that are totally not a distraction from one's own personal failures as an oligarch.

Right after this. And we're back.

Elon Musk, you know, he's always in the news, whether it's giving untold hundreds of millions, basically, to try and keep the Senate in the hands of the GOP. Or maybe recently he was talking about slowing down Starlink in Ukraine. There's all kinds of things going on. He blamed the White House. He also has a documentary that's coming out that many people are wondering. First, will David Ellison, the leader of Paramount, Skydance, HBO, Warner, whatever discovery this new fucking conglomerate is, will he actually play Alex Gibney's Musk documentary on HBO because it is an HBO documentary? Or will he just back up the oligarch homie in Elon Musk.

And then we found out his dad, his dad owns TikTok, Larry Ellison, permanently suspended the Musk account on TikTok. So that was, yeah, just some oligarch news. And I believe that it was restored after a few people were like, what the fuck are you doing? Again, I think we're going to see more things like this happen and people give bullshit excuses like, oh, that was actually like a mistake or something. Just had to reinstate that.

Yeah, a lot's happening. But with Elon Musk specifically.

He's looking for something to get the Tesla stock going, to get people to believe that he's not just a total liar who has an affinity for doing Heil Hitler salutes in the middle of America. So now he's given us the new Tesla Roadster, which apparently has SpaceX jets installed. built into them he did like a whole fucking demonstration where a car basically went up like a fucking half pipe and then um used like air jets to completely land itself so for this one was it's it's driving up a verdict like vertically on a wall then it's inverted driving up it's like a half loop and then the car it it's i don't know it's it's stupid to describe this like this is the music playing It's just going up a wall, like stuck to a wall.

And you're like, oh shit, the future is now. The thing was able to stick to a wall. And here comes the coup de grace.

It goes up the wall. How do you get invited to this?

It goes up the ramp, turns around, and then lands with a bunch of air brakes.

So that is distracting. I will give them that. That did distract the shit out of me. I don't know what's going on in the world after seeing that.

This was at a Tesla at their test facility. in Texas.

It's the new Roadster 8. It's a two-person sports car that not only can go from zero to 60 in less than a second, so beyond record time, but he said it used suction underneath the car to climb up the steep ramp, hang upside down before spinning, flipping, And using air jets to land was sort of like the technical description from the Tesla people.

It is weird that they made it a two-seater because anyone who would drive something like this has no friends. There's no reason for that extra seat. Or you just, yeah, that's the only thing. Your entire personality is like, hey, get in my Tesla Roadster.

You want to drive up a wall and flip?

Yeah. Even before you finish that sentence, no one's going to get in because they know you're like a creep. When you said get in my Tesla. Yeah, get in my Tesla. That's the end of that conversation. No, thank you.

Are we about to go do some dirt?

I have no fucking clue. Get in my Tesla and allow me to mansplain everything. So this is actually air suction tanks from Elon Musk's SpaceX. You're not going to fucking believe this. The airbags are filled with cocaine. It's going to take me a long time to tell you how this works. Yeah. You don't got anything to do after this, right? Yeah, you just drink that White Claw.

All right, good. All right, so here, let me pull up a video really quick. This is from Jordan Peterson. You're going to fuck this. Hey, come back. I haven't played the video. Come back. It hasn't even flipped yet. And then he presses the button and the whole fucking roof rips off and they end up in a mud puddle.

He says... I meant swamp. Mud puddle. I like mud puddle. You're not wrong. You know what I mean? The way he makes these cars, when he presses the flip button, God knows what's going to happen to the people in that car. Oh, yeah. I'm surprised that it didn't explode.

Again, it's using ultra high pressure air tanks, according to him, to move through the air and land on the ground. He says production, it's going to go into production in 2028, which we all know is a fucking lie because everything Elon Musk talks about, it doesn't come to fruition 99.9% of the time.

Roadsters in the mail.

At the end of the fucking demo, someone in the audience was like, hey, man, so, like, is this car, like, street legal?

Like, is this some shit I'll be able to?

And Elon Musk's response was, yeah, yeah, this quote, depends on your street, but it'll be a viable car. And he just, like, muttered on, like, just kind of under his breath about, yeah, it'll be viable.

A viable car. I better hope so. It's so vague. It will be seaworthy.

What?

It's a boat?

Yes.

Viable car the the roaster product page for like tesla's own product page it contains a disclaimer specifying that the vehicle quote is not approved for public road use and that the quote rocket model which is presumably what we saw on the on the display during the event is invite only describing it as quote air ready with seating for one so blake actually to your point oh my god it's seating for one yeah and the reason is uh, the air tanks that the rocket fucking version used to do like the kick flip over the other cars were occupying the passenger seat space. So it's like, it doesn't even, it's gonna, it's only going to be one person. If you need it to do, I want to just have a terrible accident in front of a group of onlooking

teenagers at a fucking Walmart parking lot.

Um, that's, you know, they name cars, you know, like, like, you know, whatever they are, the Nissan Armada or whatever, like there's always more and more dystopian, you know, like, uh, the, the, Toyota Destroyer or whatever you're next to it in traffic and it's like a 700 foot tall pickup truck and you're driving a Honda Fit and you're.

Like yeah I'm in my Honda Fit oh well I'm in a fucking Mazda fucking.

What's the name of the Tesla Roadsters the name of the Tesla Roadsters gonna be the male loneliness epidemic.

True I mean it's definitely the rocket version only has one seat that's so funny 600 liter pressure capacity, like the little tanks they use, 600 liter capacity, a total of 250 kilos of air.

That's why there's no passenger seat.

Again, the company doesn't care if this is realistic or even going to work or even legal because they've already begun courting down payments for a massive quarter million dollars for a reservation deposit. Or you can make a $ 50, 000 down payment. That's $ 5, 000 up front and then $ 45, 000 due within 10 days of.

The first payment.

You know, just like, we get it. You're going to have to move your... You're going to have to liquidate your retirement to buy this fucking thing.

Someone do a documentary where they interview every single person who pre-orders those and it'll be a great documentary. Oh my God, yeah.

Like, I need Nathan Fielder to do that. Like, the fucking... The pre-sale Tesla people.

That's a great idea. Well... You know the story. You're probably still going on the thing. But you know about the, you know, that it wasn't. I'm still going on. You're right, Chris.

No, no, no.

I mean, you're still telling the story. So go ahead. No, no, no. I mean, there's really nothing else really to say. Just that it was hollowed out. And what I really liked about the story was as a fan of car jumps and a fan of the devil at your heels and Ken Carter and all that stuff, like carnies came out and were like, yeah, we've been doing this trick since the 70s. Like, this pressurized gas, the whole thing. Oh, interesting.

This is a fucking middle-of-the-high-school-football-game-stunt-show trick.

Wait, so what do the carnies do? They use that to get it more of, like, velocity and distance, basically?

It's the same thing. They're like, this is the old car flip gag, where you use pressurized gas. I mean, it's like a fucking thing that's been done for, like, decades by... As part of a... Just tricksters, yeah.

Elon Musk opens up a fire wallet next, and it's like, for 80 grand, you two can have fires shoot out of your wallet.

Yeah, you're not going to believe this. You can buy a human cannonball kit. A Tesla human cannonball. All you need is a net, a helmet, a complete lack of judgment. You have to be really lonely. You're just like the kind of people who want the... Right.

It's definitely like mechanic, like the mechanical Turk in the same way that that's been around for centuries. We're still doing things where we're saying robots are doing stuff only to find out it's a call center with human beings doing the fucking quote unquote AI work.

Yeah.

But you hear these people who I guess are on like whatever, just like some probably drugs like if you go to that demonstration you know what i mean you probably take mushrooms or something i mean the kind of people who would go to a tesla like invite only like we're going to show you our new roadster every kind of bro who goes to that is going to be like let's fucking take um you know let's roll we're gonna be rolling when we see that that's gonna be awesome let's take ecstasy let's take whatever so yeah you see like a stunt like a car stunt on ecstasy your judgment about it is like it's magic Right, right, right. Yeah, yeah, sure, sure.

Because you're going to be like, no, I was there, man. And it was way fucking cooler.

Also, again, tell me how a car that does a fucking hard flip off a fucking vert ramp is in any way helping society in any measurable way outside of just, again, dumb fucking parlor trick for rich people to be like, again, I just think this is probably just going to lead to some Darwin effect where people are going to be like, yeah, like the first three people to try and flip their cars, they fucking died terribly.

Yes. On their like tennis court outside. Yeah. And on their tennis court, they're like, listen, let's go out to my tennis court and I'm going to show you this fucking Tesla flip. And then you see like four charred, bodies right right right yeah yeah next to a car that's still sitting the car's still sitting the car's fine and still sitting still in a normal position the car's laughing it's like sentiently laughing we don't even understand how they got burned up i mean you're fucking idiot what did you fucking think what happened um car looks young Oh, yeah.

The car just licked its lips. What is that? Spider caught a fly.

What?

What's that car?

Nothing.

What was that? I mean, beep, beep. I mean, now we're getting somewhere. All right. Let's also keep talking about. There's a cold open.

Yeah.

File that. Write that one down. Put it in the Rolodex.

I also just want to talk about the, again, convenient arguments I think we're going to be seeing to justify censorship and voter suppression. Last week, we talked about a story how the state of Texas failed to send out around 600,000 ballots to voters. Obviously, this is in the midst of early voting beginning and Texas being one of the, it is based on spend, the most consequential Senate race happening in the U.S.

Right now.

The millions are being poured into the Senate race between Ken Paxton and James Tallarico. And so having 600,000 people not being able to vote probably helps when we're talking about margins in the maybe tens of thousands, potentially, maybe a who knows how close it's going to be. But again, their explanation was, oh, it's a glitch in the voter registration portal. That's crazy because we're not trying to fucking obviously suppress votes. This damn glitch in the portal is to blame.

So we're getting on it. We're fixing it. And again, they just claimed, oopsie. Yeah, the glitch in Ukraine. Same thing. They're like, oh, yeah, we don't know why Starlink went down. It's going crazy.

It's got glitches all over, it seems. A similar incident happened over the weekend with the No Kings Rally Instagram account. So there's No Kings protests happening across the country this weekend. And it was shut down on Saturday, again, in the midst of this nationwide action happening. And the administrators of the No Kings Coalition said, They couldn't access the account for hours. This is what Meta had to say was their explanation. Quote, this is, again, very techno babble bullshit, but it'll make sense on the other side. Quote, our engineering team discovered that the spike that triggered the incorrect enforcement was primarily in the account's reading behavior, specifically our network security system. detected the use of a cloud tool, AI,

reading profiles, posts, and hashtags, the rate of which sharply increased in intense bursts. These abrupt high volume sequential requests in a short period resembled automated bot traffic rather than an ordinary human. This activity caused our automated protections to incorrectly take the NoKing's Instagram account offline. An automated re-review of the removal action an hour later recognized that shouldn't have happened and restored the account. It unfortunately took an additional time for us to straighten out the situation with admin access to the IG account, and we want to reiterate our sincere apology for the error.

We'll just do a new rally then. We'll just.

reorganize that humongously impressive coordinated rally now that the accounts are back online.

Sure, sure.

I mean, again, for them, they're just like, whoops, dang computer glitch. It definitely wasn't us, the company that is in bed with the administration, who is the aforementioned king that we are saying no to.

It couldn't be that.

It's just a fucking glitch and that's what's happening. We're not trying to roll back people's rights or censor them. The reasons Meta gave, though, for the shutdown don't make much sense to the No Kings people. They said, quote, in the 24 hours before our account was shut down, we posted only a handful of times and live streamed to thousands. Meta's, quote, high frequency excuse doesn't add up.

Beyond shutting down our Instagram, we've received reports that hashtag No Kings and early voting content was inaccessible. Restricted or seems suppressed Across meta platforms So yeah this is So.

Many things in there that are That could be discussed Before we leave that I just want to mention Because you said James Talarico I just want to tell you Like does anyone else not think That James Talarico Who thinks there's Six genders makes him sound Like the most badass candidate of all time.

Yeah everything they've that's back everything's backfired when they're like i'm like holy shit sign me up for the fucking i mean it's also just funny to see them just flailing to be like i don't know man let's let's try and up the attacks that we used in 2024 about like transphobia and be like.

Nobody thinks six gender nobody thinks six gender sounds bad that sounds fucking cool I'm like, and people are like, you know, I'm actually, I'm open to hearing more. Even the Tesla motherfuckers are probably like, listen, I'm ready for fucking six genders, flipping cars. We got a car that goes upside down. We got six genders. 2026 genders, bro.

Let's fucking go, James Talafrico. But the thing about that excuse that Meta used, it's so funny because they basically admit that if their excuse was true, which it's not, um, it would still be like an argument against AI. Because they're like, yeah, AI made it impossible, it broke it, and then it made it hard for us to fix it, which is everyone's experience with AI. Anyway, it's just part of this inevitability argument where they're just like, yeah, well, we can't get rid of AI, even though it's like the whole reason this happened allegedly. I mean, it's just so complicated.

I think it allows for the actions of these people like Mark Zuckerberg, So they don't have to be completely painted with the... I mean, obviously, it's clear to us, but outwardly, if they go, oh, it was a computer glitch, then it doesn't have to be. Mark Zuckerberg helps Donald Trump by suppressing No King's Rally account on the day of the No King's Rally because Trump is the king and doesn't want that kind of information to be spread on the internet that he's basically bought with access to the White House. So then it's easy to be like, it's a techno glitch. It's some technical stuff.

We obviously... It's not us, it's the technology. And to your point, Chris, that means, well, then it sounds like this shit sucks. Yeah.

It fucking sucks. And this is the issue with like depending, because it's not just like a shitty company that is like, there aren't impacts that doesn't have impact on people. Like when you have an algorithm that's run by AI and businesses, like you see like a business account or like a personal account that like people depend on for income get locked out of meta.

You know?

Because an AI bot accident, say it even was a mistake, which this clearly fucking wasn't. So say even when they're operating at their best, when they're not being devious little fucks and the algorithm just blows and it isn't good, then a business's account can be shut down. They can't get income from it. And by a business, I mean like a mom and pop. By a business, I mean like Nabisco. No, like a mom and pop business. By Procter & Gamble, yeah.

Yes, or Procter &.

P & G.

Nabisco, yeah.

It is disgusting where it's like, so you have a bad company. They don't treat it with the gravity that it deserves. I think is what makes me so fucking mad about it. Where it's like, You built this monster that people fucking depend on. And now you got all the human beings cut out of it who can actually resolve an issue right away. Why did it take you an hour to get the account back online? It's a bajillion dollar fucking company. Just flip a switch.

Put it back online. Why did it take an hour? I think that's where we have to kind of like... We know why it took an hour.

Yeah, well, I mean, I think that's where we're fully in this era now where it's like these people aren't... They don't give a fuck. They're saying everything's become... Well, I've created this kingdom where I control social media and I can now, I can, I have more access to power because I can tell the powers that be. I can fucking flip the switch and get this account gone because I can, I control that part of people's reality right now.

I can freeze your bank accounts. Yeah, exactly.

It's not, it's not really about like, are we making the best product? It's how much control can I exert with my business and how do I leverage that for my own profit, access to power, et cetera. And I think it's, it, It's really hard to look at these people in any other light than that.

Yeah.

And there's no fucking help either. It's not like, oh, I'm going to call customers. There's no customer service anymore.

No, no, no. It's all shit chat bots.

Yeah.

It's like, hey, just.

Hopefully you'll quit before what you sue us. And then we'll, you know, it'll cost you all this money and legal fee. Like, it's just a fucking total nightmare.

Sorry.

It's a nightmare.

Yeah.

Oh, no, no. It's I mean, I just can't believe like we're seeing this. I never understand like what the joy is for these people. I mean, I know, I guess like just the joy of control, but, and the, like the joy of control, the joy of power, you know, that's all. But, but I mean like, Oh, I mean, do you mean the fans of these people? The fans of these people are just desperately like, that's basically a bread line. to people who just want to be close to these people because they just want to be perceived as on their side. So when they're passing out the food rations, they get some too. I mean, I think, you know, I mean, I don't think they see it that way. They see it themselves as fans, but it's

much different. It's much more a dystopian than that. This is, we're not seeing fandom of these people because these people are objectively stealing everyone's livelihood. And if you're a fan of them, you know, you're not thinking straight, but you think you are. You're like, oh yeah, like I'm down with this. I mean, it's just being down with, You're a presser because you just are hoping you'll be the exception.

Your name will be on the protective scrolls. They won't freeze your bank account. Your name won't... Yeah. Because it's really like now they can show a picture to a drone and that drone can... you know, decide whether it wants to fucking shoot you or turn off your bank account. Obviously a drone wouldn't have to be involved in turning off your bank account. No, no, they have those drones now.

Or give you tickets to the next Metallica concert. A drone did it. We were in here and we had our drone that turns off and on the No Kings account and it was flying around and we had it set on just fly around, but it went on its own and it shut it off. And then by the time we got it untangled from the ceiling fan, it just took us a while. So we did get it back on.

Yeah.

Holy shit. Um, All right. Nice fucking life. You guys have created for us. Yeah. Yeah. We're living in your. Thank you. And for yourselves. Like, I mean, that's really what's the joy in it for anybody. I mean, Elon Musk, he's obviously miserable. I mean, on the top, you pick a lineup of people who's happy and who's miserable. Elon Musk is not happy. Number one at the top. All right.

Let's take a break. When we come back. Let's catch up with some pop culture things because a few things happened. We'll be right back. And we're back.

A quick thing I just wanted to point out. Apu from The Simpsons. made his first appearance on the show after almost a decade. That was also, like, so 2017 was around the time Azaria, like, people were like.

Why the fuck is Hank Azaria doing Apu's.

Voice in that documentary from Hari Kondo Balu really, like, opened the conversation up to be like, uh, what's up, bro? And Azaria since then is like, yeah, I should not be doing this voice at all, you know, because I'm He said he apologizes constantly to South Asian people, Indian Americans he sees, because he's like, I'm sorry that I created a stereotype that is going to echo into eternity.

I should not be doing the role anymore.

So after nearly a decade, he's returned, being voiced by a voice actor, Sunil Malhotra. And he said, this is what he said to like about getting the roles. Quote, when my agent called me about a Simpsons audition, I knew exactly what role it was for. And the idea actually made my stomach sink. But admittedly, part of me was also curious. It had been eight, nine years since Apu had spoken on the show. And it got me thinking, did the writer's room look different now? Could they bring him back in a way that acknowledged and apologized for past mistakes? Could I make the character my own and reclaim him in some way? And could they achieve all of that in an unmistakably Simpsons way that didn't disappoint fans?

He said he didn't want to be the butt of the joke and only would consider the role if he met some of the showrunners and said, quote, it was the beginning of a deeply collaborative experience that I hope it was equally satisfying for longtime fans of the Simpsons and for other South Asian kids who like me stopped watching at some point along the way. I saw like a little bit of the episode and and seeing Apu speak again my first reaction was it sounded like right like accurate it wasn't like this version of Apu I was like it kind of was like oh yeah it sounded like Apu got his groove back or something like it wasn't the kind of thing where I feel like a lot of the sort of dim-witted fans are just like.

It's not gonna be the same without the white guy doing the voice that wasn't, that's.

What I liked about it.

Yeah.

That's the one thing I only reason I watched the Simpsons is to know that Hank's area is offending people. That's the whole engine that drives the Simpsons as a creative property. But yeah, it was like, it was, it was interesting. And like the whole, the way the episode unplayed, it was like, he basically, Apu comes back. He's like, he becomes a serial killer because he was banished to the island of forgotten garbage, which has like other Simpsons cast offs, like Dr. Nick and also had Leon, uh, The character that Michael Jackson voiced in that one episode where he's.

Singing the song. Oh, my God. Like, just kind of, like, lurking in the background. And you're like, oh. That's so funny. Shit.

So, it was, you know, I think an interesting moment where they kind of acknowledge it. But, yeah, Apu is back. I still haven't watched the show with any regularity since maybe season 13 or 14.

But I'm glad.

That it continues because it was a show that brought me a lot of joy, at the very least, as a kid.

Oh, man.

Yeah.

It is interesting when these comedies show, because obviously comedy can age.

Very, very, very, very, very poorly.

And I think I remember, I haven't seen the episode in forever, but with South Park, they had the character Token, you know?

Mm-hmm.

And I think they updated it to be like, no, it's token, like, you know, J-R-R token. Like, we wouldn't have it be a play on the token. Like, we wouldn't have that.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. The way they handled it was like, all right, we admitted that we were wrong. We folded it in.

You know, like, this is a little bit different, but Always Sunny, I remember Always Sunny. And Miles is obviously from the area in Philadelphia.

Yeah, yeah, totally, totally. Where they.

When I went back to watch old episodes, like some things were bleeped, but it wasn't like they would say, so they used year, maybe like 20 years ago, like the homophobic slur, the F word there. And there was a sentence where they, so they bleep that, but they didn't bleep fuck. And it's like, okay, at least they are showing, it was just an, I'm not saying that's a good thing or a bad thing. I'm saying it's interesting how.

There's some acknowledgement that you don't want to, that's not how.

This is the bad word. The bad word is the homophobic term. The bad word's not fuck, you know?

Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's, yeah, it's slurs. There's a difference. Yeah, it's interesting seeing how like shows handle that right around the corner.

And finally, before we go, I just want to touch, because in March when this story came out, I was not talking about it on the show, but I always, I like to know about cryptids, okay? Those mythical creatures. that are out there creating an entire industry of content creators.

Oh my God, dude, you got to cover yourself in Yeti piss and get out there. You might be able to catch a fucking glimpse of this fucker. That's correct. That is correct. In March, the word came out about this new documentary called Capturing Bigfoot and how they did find this moment of the famous Robert Patterson film from the late 60s, which is the most iconic depiction, supposed capturing moment or on film moment of Bigfoot just truly like walking like fucking John Travolta in Saturday Night Fever.

Like he's just like, it doesn't seem like how a cryptid cruises. It looks like he's just like, yeah, bro, what's up, man? I'm kicking it by my creek bed.

So now that the documentary is out, people have seen some of the, you know, the main thing that kind of debunks the whole sort of myth around this specific piece of footage. And apparently the year before this clip came out, There is some film that is in the documentary that shows kind of a rehearsal where there's a friend of Robert Patterson's who walks pretty much exactly like the dopey Bigfoot in that video. Not that I think people needed to know this to know that the video was bullshit. But I think now, I'm sure there are many people out there who are the Robert Patterson truthers of that video probably disappointed today. That is not actually the real thing. So just rest in peace. I want

to put my thoughts and prayers to the Squatch community.

Chris, your official thoughts. Come on now. Wait, I was busy looking up proof of Sasquatch while you were saying all that. So I didn't really hear what you said. And you're like, case closed. Like, that was not long enough. Whatever you just said, Miles, which I was like looking up something. I don't know what it was, but it was not long enough to debunk one of the greatest.

One of my real dad is Sasquatch. Yeah. So you're not going to say whatever these three paragraphs you said while I was Googling one thing, whatever that was, was not enough to just prove that my real dad exists. So what did you say? They caught somebody trying on an outfit, right? That's what they say?

Your daddy loves you and your daddy's real. And not a man in a suit at all.

I've heard about this. There's some, but why they say they caught, they got, somehow they've been sitting on this footage of someone trying on the suit. That's what it is, right? Yeah, yeah, yeah. And doing like a dry run for that moment. Oh, and just now. what just now where is it anyway that's what i got to say about that just now all of a sudden they found the biggest smoking gun since.

I mean what do you think that does for the sasquatch community like how many of those guys do a lot of those do a lot of those guys chris like look at like point to that film or a lot of those guys even out on that they're like no that ain't the real thing like i'm looking for the real and.

Chris feel free to say we when you answer this question No, I just know Chris is up on a lot of stuff like that. We're at the center. Of course, I'm talking to you from the mountains of Montana at my center. Oh, my God. There's so many centers for Bigfoot research, which are just like a trailer with some nut job in it. But I mean, like, I'm fully backing that. Like, get off the grid, you know, and go fucking live your best life dreaming of your hairy daddy.

Star to center. But no, I think, I think like a lot of people think that that, that video is fake. Um, and I think it's really funny how many scientists have weighed in and said it's real and how many say it's not real. And of course my favorite is the episode of trailer park boys where they have the Sam squanch and like, and like they've got, um, what's his name?

You know, um, not, is it Ricky? Anyway, he's just like, explaining why the Sam squints is real. Cause he's like, no, there's no way anyone's ever walked. You can't walk that way. You can tell no one has ever walked that way. And I just love that. It's so good. And it's such a brief takedown to the entire, just like fucking Ricky from trailer. He just takes away the whole, it makes the entire thing seem absurd. But like, I think there's a lot of evidence that they're, are Sasquatches. I mean, whatever they are, aside from that film. And I think there is a chance that film's a fake. I mean, it seems like there's a very good chance it's fake.

But for some reason, Bob Gimlin, one of the two dudes who lived a long time and gave a lot of interviews, refused to back off this thing to a point where You just were like, why are you still doing this? Like the other guy's dead. You're not making any money. So that was what made it believable is this guy, Bob Gimlin refused to take it back. And he was like a pretty believable guy. He was like, he was the more believable guy because the guy who actually, the Patterson, the name Patterson, that guy seemed like a scam artist. So I mean, like when there's a scam artist- Well, you made a lot of money off of it. When there's a scam artist even close to something like that, you gotta figure it's a scam. But then Bob Gimlin

screwed that up because Bob Gimlin was like, I was there, I'm a guide. I'm not a fucking Hollywood guy. It was real, you know? I'd be open to seeing an outfit fit being put on, but I also am like, you know, the, the, the, the impetus or what do you say? The, uh, this is what it's, I think this vibrant is taking away my words and that's all I have. Your words, your impetus, but like the, the incentive, that's the word I was looking for. The incentive to come up with some lost footage at this moment is like, and the ease of which you could fucking just make lost footage with AI or whatever it is, but whatever I, I like, Bigfoot, I'm a fan. I think... I think...

I just... He's a fan too. It gives me hope that... Not even hope. It gives me... It gives me realistic... A realistic reminder that even in... Like some part of Canada or like just the whole of Canada, there's like... I don't know what it is. You know, 250 million acres or something that they've never explored.

Right.

So it's like... I just think it's a nice antidote or... It's just something that feels good. It's a good stand-in for the mystery. Where you're just dealing with these other guys fucking saying, life is about achievement and productivity, and we're about to shift our bodies into robots, and I'm sorry.

Check out the flip this car does. Yeah, humans are just bootloaders for AI, and the planet's cooked and all this shit, and it's like, fuck you, motherfucker.

There's something sincere about that, because it's still like, even with the cryptid stuff, it's sort of like, at its base, it's talking about our inability to truly understand the natural world. And there's something about that versus like these guys, like Tesla was like.

We figured everything out. This car does a flip. And I think that part is like, yeah, there's two big foot kicking fucking Elon Musk through the fucking uprights. God, God willing.

But that's the thing too, is that it doesn't mall anybody, you know, like, like I want to live in a world where there is a Sasquatch and, That isn't just ripping everybody's head off.

He's just hanging out, dude. He's just hanging out. He's hairy as hell.

He's like us where we're like, dude, I'm not trying to be fucking bothered by you fucking people, dude. I'm just trying to do my own fucking thing and chill, fucking eat my acorns and shit, eat a couple squirrels, whatever.

Look at my gait. Look at how I stroll, dude. I got back issues, dude. Do you think I walk this slow because I'm chilling, bro? It's fucking painful, man. Oh, hello, Linda. Are you having fun eating your gorp, Linda? Hello. Can I have some? You selfish fuck. No one's going to believe this, Linda. Have a nice day. Bye. And sometimes they talk, too. I mean, people say all kinds of stuff.

I don't believe they talk. I have rules about Bigfoot. Yeah, yeah, no, they can't talk. That's a fair rule. But there's this thing called the Sierra Sounds, if anyone wants to look into it. It's probably the most believable thing. recording of Big Feet ever playing fast and loose with the plural there.

But it's a pretty interesting recording of what they say was Big Feet across the river from these guys camping and it's called the Sierra Sounds. And it was recorded by this guy named Ron Moorhead. So listen to that shit. And you'll be able to find, if you go on YouTube and look up Sierra sounds with Ron Moorhead or whatever, not with Ron Moorhead, but he became like a celebrity, you know, because I love that. Like Bob Gimlin, you know, just getting interviewed over and over again by people who are just like, just desperate for meaning. Did that come out around the time Pet Sounds came out? He's like, Pet Sounds, dude? Check out Sierra Sounds. In my world, Ron Moore, Pet Sierra Sounds is more important than Pet Sounds. Oh, shit.

Real quick, the Bigfoot Sierra Sounds finally translated by a Navy linguist is a YouTube video. Hell yeah.

Okay, we're doing that. Well, Chris, thanks so much for joining us on the Daily Zeitgeist. Where do the people find you, follow you, and what's the work in media you've been enjoying?

Currently, they can find me up in my bedroom sweating. And that's why I keep toweling my head off. But in general, I have a show now in Nashville that's live every Monday. And you guys got to come. And I would not normally say that my shows are worth traveling for. I'd say so. But not at least long distances.

I'd say I'd drive 45 minutes for a show by me. But I'm not usually recommending. I think people should be flying in for this shit. In a flipping car. Yes. That's right. So every Monday night at this bar in Nashville called Strago, which is owned by a friend of mine named Matt Bell. And it's a great bar. And he's like, made it like inclusive and fun and not like, just, I don't know, like good people, jazz and poetry. And like, they have like a courtyard. It's just like sort of a laid back. It's like LGBTQ friendly in a big way. And, uh, it's just a cool place. And he, and he has this upstairs, um, like room that's kind of vibey I think you're supposed to go up there and make out or whatever talk about sure sure sure they gotta make

out you're supposed to yeah well it's like set up for like kissing I think but it's.

Instead what do you mean it's like a bunch of little seats facing each other instead of it's like.

A couch and shit just go up there and you'd be like listen do you like this or whatever I like that or whatever do you know about are you paying attention to all the news shut the fuck up don't say the news but it's called the belfry because it's upstairs nice So I like I'm booking people that people are like, you know, lucky to get to see them in a small, tiny place, you know, and they're basically doing it because it's a favor to me to do it. But it's like anyway, it's special. It's every Monday at seven o'clock at this at this bar called Strega.

And then besides that, just go listen to cold brew. Got me like, oh, my podcast. Blake, what about you? Where do people find you? Follow you? What's working media? Enjoy.

Good God, the people who can find me are all of you and where they can find me is what I meant to say is I'm doing a little bit of standup coming up November 21st. I'm going to be in Cape Charles, Virginia. November 27th, I'm going to be at Claude's Comedy Club in Philadelphia. Those tickets are on sale.

January 15th, I'm going to be in Empire Comedy Club in Portland, Maine. I don't know what the fuck I have to do to get those tickets online, but that has not yet happened. Put it in your calendar, and then I'll let you know when the tickets are out, for the love of fucking God. And then January 16th, The Hideout in Boston.

I'm going to be there.

A piece of media that I've been enjoying. Um, the info wars shit that the onion is doing is, is, is, has, is just consuming my life. It's been making me laugh so hard.

Yeah.

And there's this one video where they have a guy who I just wasn't familiar with him before. He looks like Steve band and like, it's a video where he's doing it. It's like, you know, a like far right conservative style video. I just dropped the link into the, uh, into the chat and.

It is like, what is a woman?

Yeah.

Yeah.

When he's asking a little.

Boy woman oh he's smoking in front of a boy it's yeah yeah fuck.

See it's not that hard people oh you know the more i talk to you the more i'd vote for you he's good looking he's charismatic he loves guns he's a triple.

Threat there's like even a new show with uh There's so many, like, new shows that, like, are really funny.

Like, there's, what's the other one? I think Patty Henderson, I think, also has a show. Uh-huh, uh-huh, uh-huh. They've nailed it. It's really impressive. Like, tonally, they've nailed it. Like, satirically. Patty, sorry, Patty. I said Henderson. Patty Harrison is on. Mm-hmm. Like one of the newer ones, too, that's like a tech show that's super funny and absurd. That's just.

Yeah, they've nailed the vibe of giving you that InfoWars show. And the one with Tim Heidecker, too, that feels very Rogan-esque, where, like, just stupid people agreeing about the dumbest fucking fake science shit is.

It's uncensored. Any Joe Rogan parody, it's like so easy to fucking make him look stupid. Yeah, you should check it out. It's super funny. Dude, you'd love it. Yeah. You can find me everywhere at Miles of Grey.

I'm talking about 90 Day Fiancé on 4, 20 Day Fiancé, talking about footy, soccer, on Ain't It Footy with Jamel Johnson.

What else? What else are you going to find me? You said Miles of Grey. Oh, okay, look.

You want to know what working media like I encourage everyone to see. You can see everything. The Nathan Fielder documentary. It's really a fucking it's a ride. An amazing one, too.

I want to see it. I'm going to see it as soon as possible. Check it out. Sold out like crazy in Nashville here.

Yeah.

Even like in L.A., like it was pretty much sold out. Nearly every show is trying to get into. Yeah, so check that out. That is definitely my piece of media. You can find us on Twitter and Blue Sky at Daily Zeitgeist. We're at The Daily Zeitgeist on Instagram. Go to the description of the episode, wherever you're listening to.

There at the bottom, you'll find the footnotes. Thank you, Blink. We link off to the information we talked about in the episode, as well as a song I think you might enjoy. Today's song, because.

We got warm weather. I wanted it to be cooler.

But it feels like just pool weather. So that's why we're going to go out on that band Poolside, which feels like very 80s, like cocaine pool music.

The track's called Kiss You Forever. So, yeah, just get jittery to this one. Real quick, go to see Ken Russell's The Devils, which is a 1971 film about a true story. But he directed Tommy by The Who, and it's out now. It's a director's cut and it's the most deranged movie and beautiful movie you'll ever see. It's just, I saw it the other night. It's just, anyway, I just had to throw it in because it's out right now.

It's called The Devils. It's from 1971. It's remastered and it's fucking, it'll knock you on your ass in a million different ways. It'll make you laugh because it's so over the top. Okay, shit. We'll check that out, too.
