We all want more—more love, more fulfillment, more success, more peace, more of the life we imagine for ourselves. But what if creating a different reality isn’t simply about getting what we want? What if it requires us to become capable of holding what we’re asking for? This week, we explore the deeper connection between desire, personal growth, and our ability to sustain the blessings we invite into our lives.

True expansion asks us to look beyond the version of ourselves we already know. It invites us to notice the patterns that keep us small, interrupt our automatic reactions, and develop a greater capacity to give, receive, trust, and grow. Even the experiences we most want to escape can become opportunities to expand who we are and how much light we can experience. This conversation offers a powerful shift in perspective—and practical ways to begin creating that expansion now.

Good morning, everyone.

Good evening, good afternoon, wherever you are, and welcome to this week's Weekly Energy Boost. My name is Elisheva, and today Eitan and I are talking about what it takes to expand our capacity for blessings, goodness, fulfillment, and all of the things we truly desire, not in a temporary way, but in a way that results in lasting fulfillment and impact.

This is a week in which, on the coattails of last week, we're examining what it really means to be aligned with the desire of our soul, how to leave the old and expired versions of ourselves behind and live a life that not only is fulfilling, because I think that's general human nature, we're all looking for fulfillment, but that really surpasses what we believe fulfillment can be for us, blessings beyond belief, and to really break the old perceptions of what success and fulfillment can mean for us. Weekly Energy Boost is a seven-day spiritual weather forecast where we provide our listeners with the most practical and powerful tools to navigate.

The coming seven days.

We do that by gleaning through the teachings of Kabbalah and extracting the wisdom and tools that are not only going to support you this week in maximizing the opportunities and avoiding the pitfalls, but this is wisdom and tools that can serve you any week of the year, any year of your life. And so this conversation opens up a lot of questions, but also paves the way for a lot of answers and might require us to reframe how we look at our personality, our nature, who we've come to know ourselves as. But the questions that we're going to ask and the practices we're going to suggest, are things that the Kabbalists have been teaching for thousands of years.

And I think it's an important idea to bring up.

This is not something that we just thought about while, you know, in the shower or at breakfast this morning.

This is ancient wisdom.

And this has been a part of a practice of thousands of years of individuals who were connected to and taught leading with soul, living a more soulful life. So Eitan, what does that look like this week for us?

So first, Elisheva, when you are talking about expanding the capacity to receive light, blessing, growth in a lasting, fulfilling way, the Kabbalists call my capacity to receive, to handle light, because the light is endless. The energy of the Creator is endless. The reason I'm not experiencing all my potential and all the blessings and all what's available is because my vessel is limited. So the Kabbalah is saying that vessel consists of three elements. And in ancient, according to the Zohar, these three elements defined as energy of giving, energy of receiving, and energy of central column, which is the force that resists, that creates the balance. Right column energy, it's energy of giving. Left column energy is energy of receiving.

Central column energy is energy of pause. It's energy of resistance. It's energy that break away from any limited attachment. So when the Torah speaks about Abram, Isaac, and Jacob, the Zohar tells us This is codes for energy forces within ourselves. Abram, the energy of giving, right column energy. Isaac, the energy of receiving, left column energy. Jacob, the energy of resistance, the energy of pause, the energy of saying no to the reactive attachment, either to the left and to the right.

And the Kabbalists explain a balance vessel, that wants to truly connect and to increase my capacity to receive, my capacity to enjoy, needs to expand in these three elements. Energy of giving, energy of receiving, and energy of resisting. Now, what does it mean practically? What does it mean practically? So, let's speak about energy of Isaac. Energy of left column. Desire.

Desire to grow. Desire to improve. Desire for my next level. Desire to constantly grow internally, externally. Desire for transformation. Desire to become better. Desire to recognize what needs to be improved. Desire to experience the creator. Everything starts with left column. I want. A lot of people mistaken to think, no, no, no, desire is an issue. Only have right column, energy of giving. Indeed, every desire that we have need to be directed for the sake of sharing. But without desire, we don't have life force. What determines how much potential we draw into our life starts with desire. And that desire needs to constantly increase. Nevertheless, if I'm too attached to the outcome, if I'm too attached to desire just for myself alone,

then I'm not really expanding my vessel. I'm creating a short circuit. That's the reason desire by himself is not enough. Central column. The energy of pause, the energy of restriction represent the force to say pause when I'm too attached. For example, I want my way. I want something now. I want relief for my issues now. When I will be too attached, I will be reactive. When I will be too attached, I will lose the big picture. When I will be too attached, I will desire only temporary fulfillment.

And that's what central column, pause, restriction. Wait. Are you coming from place of sharing? And that's what right column energy. Increasing desire to share. Desire to love. Desire for empathy. Desire for true care. Increasing true energy of giving. Actions of giving. Actions of kindness. Beyond the comfort zone. That's right column energy. Now, if you're just in right column energy. Giving, giving, giving, giving, giving.

and you don't question what's happening for you, what you actually desire to achieve. Are you trying to grow as a human being? A person who doesn't try to grow as a human being, to become better, more elevated, more connected human being, is giving eventually will somehow, will be caught up with ego, because there's no such a thing.

We always want something. So as to be balanced between I desire to receive growth, but the only way I will really grow, only for the sake of sharing. Only if it's non-reactive. So this is just a general outlook and now we'll get a little bit to the details and examples. What does it mean to practice left column?

What does it mean to practice central column? What does it mean to practice right column? But all of us needs to expand those energies within us in order to allow greater light in our life. So if you want to start with some practical examples and let's support each other how to invite our viewers to really feel what does it mean for me?

For sure.

I think that in this conversation, whenever we talk about bringing the, being more right column or more left column, and it comes up in different teachings and the Zohar at different moments, it starts with us as an individual figuring out where do I lean?

What's dominant in me?

Where is my nature more automatically connected?

So for someone that, and maybe we can.

Personally, when I heard this teaching, I thought to myself, it's not an issue for me to overcome my desire. It's not an issue for me to restrain myself because by nature... when I started studying Kabbalah, I was very passive, very.

Nothing is a big deal to me. I don't care. It's up to you. What do you want?

Which I later came to understand was not necessarily the healthiest way to navigate life. Although I prided myself on being a person that was easygoing and Nothing bothered me. And even when I heard the concept of being of reactive consciousness, I thought it's not my issue. I never react because my perception was reactive meant external. I was reacting internally, but not externally. So for someone whose natural inclination is to be passive, which underneath those behaviors, there is obviously, maybe it's not obvious, but there is an inherent selfishness. It's the desire to be liked, the desire to be relevant, the desire to.

Be included.

There's so many different selfish motives that lie beneath being the nice guy, being the good guy, being the person that everybody loves or can count on. There's a lot of selfishness underneath that. It's just the costume is giving and sharing and kindness. It's important to understand in the context of this conversation that that knowing yourself is what is the first step in understanding my, I'm this person, not because that's my brand and that's who I came here to be, but because I, I meant to overcome or transcend that. So being, if you're, if you lean more right column, left column, a lot of the left column has to do with saying no. not only expressing boundaries, but holding them. A lot of people that I've done

this work with, they say, you know, you can't talk to me like that. But then two days later, someone's talking to them that way and they're not doing anything about it, even though they made the effort to express the boundary. I won't be treated that way, yet the treatment is perpetuated in other areas of life. It's saying no, it's holding boundaries. It's pausing before answering, right? The natural response is often, of course, And then you think later, do I really want to do this? Saying yes before weighing, does this feel right for me?

Am I aligned with it? Do I have the bandwidth, right? That automatic being a yes man is.

The, and by the way, automatically saying no also requires interrupting the pattern and looking at where is it coming from.

But I think.

In looking at the spectrum of, human nature and knowing there's extreme right and extreme left, it's not about becoming completely left column. It's not about becoming completely a no person or, uh, you know, having, being cold, being harsh, being, it's not about that. It's about every day when you pause moving more toward that middle, as you called it, Eitan central column, finding the middle ground, not going, I mean, many times it does require a little bit of going to extremes just because that pattern needs to be interrupted.

But the real power is in interrupting the pattern, using the pause to interrupt the pattern and making a conscious choice to move toward the center. So for me, I mean, the nature of the work of the soul is it's a lifetime of work. So even though you can choose a certain pattern, a certain behavior, a certain relationship, which you notice that you lean to right column, you can practice on it. But if that's your nature, it's going to be a theme that comes in ways and shapes throughout life. So I think what's exciting about the conversation we're having now is that it's a, we can start to interrupt those patterns this week. And if we're already in the habit of interrupting those patterns to deepen our awareness,

because that's the energy that's available to us, right? This whole idea is, is is coming to the forefront because the energy to go against our nature is more readily available this week than many other weeks in the year.

What's next?

Beautiful. So I want to give something practical. A person wants to expand their business. That's called left column. Desire. It's important. Motivation. Desire. Pumped up. Meditating with the help of the light of the creator. I want to go to the next level for $ 5 million company to $ 50 million company. I've learned Kabbalah. I want to do it for the sake of sharing, not for the sake of the ego. Desire. Light. Flow. I'm not sure exactly how, but with the help of the creator, I feel. That's beautiful.

Investing desire. Create space. That's left column. Now, the rule is, if you want that desire to be sustained, it has to include right column and central column. What does it mean practically? You're going to have opportunities because you set greater desire and you're inviting greater energy that's already available, but you begin to activate it. You'll have opportunity to apply kindness, giving when it's uncomfortable. It's very simple. You want really to expand your vessel to allow lasting success and circuitry. Not just desire, it's important. Also giving is important.

So you'll have opportunity for kindness when you don't have the time, when you're under pressure. And you'll have many opportunity for restrict your reactive nature. It's very simple. You want more? You need to restrict reactivity more, to pause reactivity more. That's part of expanding the vessel. Actually, the only way I can sustain success can be love. It can be financial success. It can be work to help other people. If I'm constantly expanding my capacity central column to pause my reactive nature. I'm doing something big. Why I'm bothered with little challenges? Who do you think send the challenges to you? The creator. Because he wants you to sustain blessings. And blessing is not just I want

and I get. I want. but are willing to restrict reactive nature, which is basically trusting the creator and letting go of attachments. Pause. What a pleasure. Pause. I'm trusting. I'm expanding my vessel. Pause. Why things don't go my way? I don't have time. I don't have tolerance for the heaviness or people are not aligned with me. or the impatience that things are not fast enough, or to challenges in the way, the challenges in the way exactly there to help me to expand my vessel. As Elisheva said, each one of us, restricting means going against my reactive nature.

So that's central column. And expand giving. If I'm just expanding, I want billions. I want achievement. I'm already seeing the energy. I'm already seeing the abundance. I'm already seeing the health. But I'm not growing my capacity to care for people, which is right column. I'm not growing my capacity to handle challenges in a peaceful way. I'm not going to be able to sustain blessings. I'm not. So we want to expand everything. I want more for the sake of sharing.

I'm ready for the challenge because wanting more, it says that Abraham went through 10 tests. The word test in Hebrew, nisayon, the first two letters is nes, miracle. Test is not a test. Will you pass it or not? Very simple. It's a challenge. The testing and I'm able to embrace it as part of expanding my vessel and getting closer to the light. At the moment, it doesn't feel like growing.

It feels like going down. Ten tests because the Creator wanted to give it endless love. Each one of them brought him closer to ability to experience endless love and to give endless love. You want to expand your vessel is not just motivations, which is left column. It's also sometime giving is giving to your own body. Sometime giving is pay attention. In the same way you care, someone doesn't feel well. They're anxious. Be sensitive with them. Pay attention.

What's going on with you? Why are you awake in the middle of the night? Be sensitive. Where do you need a little bit more nurturing? Where do I need to be more in the details instead of just attached to a big picture? Am I too attached to future accomplishment becoming my source of fulfillment? Or I'm able to actually pay attention to the present moment? So that balance between, of course, I want to grow desire, left column. But what is the challenges coming my way? And it's precise.

And you build a building, let's say a five-story building, and you say, I want to expand this building I have air rights. I need to build another 10 floors on top of it. You need to have a greater foundation. What is the greater foundation? These three elements of alignment with our soul, more sustainable, pure desire to receive but for the sake of sharing, More energy of kindness and giving in you. Money, heart, actions, care, compassion, patience, sensitivity, praying for other people, wishing well. Right, Column Energy? And more capacity to resist reactive nature. Capacity to go against my attachment. And each one of us, as Elisheva said, is different. That's the foundation. I need to increase that

in order to increase. If I want more, I need to change something internally. If I'm staying the same human being, I just know I'm thinking big, but I'm staying the same human being. Nothing's fundamentally changing inside. And I want different reality, I will not have the vessel to sustain that. And those are the three elements that needs to improve kabbalistically.

All issues that need to improve falling under these three categories.

How do we take what you're saying and look at those situations in which a person's goal is not to have more, it's to have less.

For example, in a.

a situation where a person isn't feeling well, right? They're looking for the solution to not feel bad, to, to be able to be active like they used to be. Or I, I, I'm in touch with so many people that are not, not that they're facing a specific disease or a certain, a pain in a particular area, but you know, every, every third person has an autoimmune issue and it's, it's, it's, it's, Those kind of things, children with learning challenges, it's things that are kind of situations that people, I mean, doctors will tell them you just have to get.

Used to it.

How do we apply this concept of restriction, of building a stronger foundation, of expanding our capacity for greater blessings when we're not trying to receive more?

We're trying to receive.

When you say trying to receive more, what do you mean trying to receive more?

Meaning you're talking about building a business, a relationship, meaning the target looks like growth. I feel like the people who are struggling with not feeling well, it's like they're trying to have less of what they're experiencing, not more of it.

Yes, so each one of us, we can break it down to us. Every time we go into an acute, long-term, chronic challenge, at least relatively chronic in our life, it can be around health, it can be around relationship, it can be around children. The natural tendency of all of us is just to get rid of the pain. That's what you're saying, wanting less. I just want to clarify.

Our natural tendency, I just want to be the same way I was two days ago, the same way I was a month ago, the same way when I had a good mood when we were on the vacations and the relationship was amazing and my child was amazing. We're all thinking, if I'll just get rid of that problem, I'll be so happy. And that's Kabbalistically small desire. And here is a test. You face a challenge, you get what you want. If in the midst of the challenge you just want relief, you might get relief and might get a moment of temporary relief. But imagine the challenge presented by the light of the Creator. There's only one intention for the light of the Creator for all of us.

To expand Our ability to enjoy, to experience light, and to give light. That's it. That's the agenda. So how come I'm going to challenge? Because the challenge, helping me to strengthen my capacity to, for example, trust more. It says about Abram, so interesting. He was helping people all day long. He was helping people to help them to understand what's the purpose of life, how to grow, how to connect with the Creator, how to let go of idol worshipping, of ego. He was helping. And people tried to kill him. So the Zohar is asking the question, why people tried to kill him? Guess what? It says, the Creator himself sent people to try to kill him.

And of course, send him also the strength to be recovered and be protected, but he sent it only that Abram will grow in his capacity to trust the Creator in the time of dangers. And by him expanding his level to trust, he expanded his vessel. A challenge is not in my life just for the sake of learning how to get rid of the challenge. The challenge in my life is now to grow my capacity for more light.

I don't want to be how I was before the challenge. I want to go to my next level, the better version of myself. In the midst of the challenge, we don't see it. But in the midst of the challenge, Kabbalistically, there's a gateway for miracles beyond. Imagine when you're feeling the pain or the fear or the situation that there's no solution for or worry about your child. Feel it.

We're not saying escape it. But in the midst of feeling it, what do you want? The gate is open. What do you ask for the creator? Growth or relief? Growth will include relief. Just relief will not include growth. I want real growth. What is the first growth? Growing. Restrict your reactivity. Restrict your judgment. Restrict deciding what you're going through is bad for you. Shift the consciousness. I want expansion. I want growth in areas I'm blind to see.

I want growth in opening my heart, growth in trusting the Creator, growth in trusting the process, growth in the person that's going through the challenge. So that's an essential one, what you're saying, Elisheva. When we're going through something, I just want to get rid of that. No.

No.

Everything that I'm going through in my life, everything is amazing in my life, that's also something people say, I just wanted to say the same. When the other shoe will drop, just keep it the same, God, please just keep it. It's a mistake. We're here always to expand our vessel to the next level. When things are challenging, I don't have time to expand. Just let me, I'm in acute pain right now. Let me get rid of the pain. You're right. You also want to get rid of the pain. That's a survival desire that we all have.

But connect to your soul desire. Please, the Creator, give me the strength through this process to expand my capacity to feel the light, to trust the light, to become like the light, to be more of a giver, to let go of my reactive nature. Because if you truly reflect in past challenges that you have and you don't have them anymore, major challenges, at least some of them, you realize, wow, I'm a different person. I'm growing. Some challenges, you don't perceive it this way and we call it trauma.

Any challenge from the past that somehow we didn't manage to leverage to be a growing experience, we call it trauma. But potentially, every challenge in our life meant to expand our vessel, not to shrink our vessel. Not just to suppress the issue, to get rid of the issue, to have the miracle, I don't have this problem anymore. That's not good enough.

So powerful.

I am so excited for everyone to hear this new perspective, because it's very... against what society tells us we should do, we should think, we should feel. And as we go through the rest of the week, and hopefully we'll take this idea not only through the week, but throughout the rest of our lives, looking at how our nature keeps us small and how finding that central column for each one of us makes, that's the formula, that's the Kabbalistic recipe.

for expansion and consistent expansion, not a little burst of growth. And then, like you said, how can I just keep things the way they are? Because that's also a recipe, an invitation for another challenge to come to create the expansion.

Beautiful.
