The first batch of Avatar: Seven Havens episode is complete and... we finally have opening credits! Katie accuses Jordan of watching them "at least five times" but who knows!
Jordan proposes the theory that the Seven Havens are based on the Seven Chakras and Katie is counters with a theory that they're actually based on the Seven Wonders of the World.
Katie says all Avatar Superfans need to own a kalimba like Pavi and Jordan struggles throughout the entire episode to play "Avatar's Love".
Jordan invites fellow official Nickelodeon-recognized Avatar Superfan Kendell Byrd to share her early thoughts on the show and Katie reminds Jordan of the time he ate/drank onion and banana juice before his time on the official "Braving the Elements" podcast.

Batch one of Avatar Seven Havens is complete. We've covered the first three episodes, and it's been fantastic. I'm so jazzed about this series, even though the cat monkey heads are too big.
Oh.
Way too big.
You just don't like their little cat sounds. Yeah.
On this episode of the podcast, we talk about Avatar Seven Havens, Book One Survival, Chapter 3, The Order. We have a very special guest on this episode, and I play the Kalimba. That's a not to be missed episode. So saddle up your cat monkey, and let's get right to it. Let's go to Alora.
unknown Alora.
Welcome to Yip Ya Parade, an Avatar Podcast. I'm your co-host, Jordan.
And I'm your other co-host, Katie.
Hi, other co-host. What are your credentials?
I'm just a fan of uh the avatar verse. They say I'm just a fan. I like married into this world and now I'm now I'm hooked. What's your deal?
My deal is I uh hid Avatar from you until we were married, but after we were locked down, we watched it all. And uh during the the depths of COVID, I was recognized as an official Nickelodeon-sponsored Avatar the Last Airbender super fan. Oh. Oh, but also I almost had it. You almost had it. That's good.
That's pretty good though. You gifted me a Kalimba a couple years ago.
Yes. Because as a super fan, you have to have one. Apparently, as we witnessed with this episode we just watched.
Uh, how surprised were you about how much we featured the Kalimba? I was very surprised.
That's definitely your next song to learn.
I know, I definitely have to learn that song that was featured. Anyway, so this series, we are talking about Avatar Seven Havens. This episode, we are breaking down the third episode and the last in batch one, the Order. I mean, we all knew what order was coming up, right? Yeah, order some fries.
Uh, it was good to see the White Lotus again, I guess all three of them. Now four.
But we're lacking water. There's no water representation. So I'm like, that had to be intentional. Or is there like a secret member, or like what's going on there?
Yeah.
Anyway, the episode starts, we get our flashback with the the haunting choral music, but then we finally get an opening theme. What'd you think?
I was like, okay, we got our like twin power, we're all doing like our moves together in sync, but I was like, okay, but Earth, where it's like a one-two. Yeah, because that rock was big. It was a big rock.
Also, during this scene, clearly Puffy is going to get a different type of prosthetic for her leg because during this one she had more of like a you know, kind of like in the the Paralympics when they have those like running blades. She had more of like a blade in the opening credits.
I think I noticed that, but I did not put that together that she would ever get an upgrade.
Okay, something to talk about with the opening scenes. When we're bending the elements, Nisha was always in the front.
Hmm. Well, okay, well, besides that, what did you think?
Okay, so I thought it's always kind of telling by who is narrating the opening credits, like the role that person might be playing in this world. We have Katara in the OG, we have Tenzin in the second one. So this one we have Jay. So what'd you think about that?
Love Jay.
Just like everyone else in town.
Yeah.
This is I don't know. I have a feeling Karthik's going down.
I know.
I think he's like, he's too strong, he's got too much going on. He's gonna I mean, he's getting imprisoned, he's getting assassinated. Yeah. Something's going down with that.
I think I think that gal's gonna take him, take him down.
Uh that gal has a name and it's Kayoko, and she is the chancellor of Alora. And maybe has gone way back with Yeah, I think I think they're lovers or something.
I think there's some history, and I think she's taking him down.
But you think you you looked over at me when she popped out and you said mom and dad.
Because I stand by that, that like Jay, these are Jay's parents.
And they love him so. Back to opening credits. So this is one of the I think it might be the first time in an animated animated an avatar series where we get a glimpse of like the world itself. Like it is in fact a globe and not a flat surface.
You don't think they had that with like Korra though, where it was like you think like around the world, and like had like a well, you can't believe that.
It was in Sepia. And I don't think we talked about it much in Aang, besides from like going quote unquote to the other side of the world during the movie. Spoilers for the movie.
Yeah, yeah. It was all just map.
Okay, so we get the world, like the actual globe, and so that was just it was just strange to see it in that way. But then when we see the the seven havens, it was all like covered in like cloud. And so is the is the world covered in one of those like spirit storms that happened in like Korra? Like, is the world just like one big one?
But then we get a glimpse of the seven havens, and they're these like glowy jewel things amidst the the clouds. Right. Which leads me again, so yip yippers. I'm not reading many theories out there. I'm going in pretty cold. I know that people have been speculating since all of the all of the trailers have come out, and so there's a ton of discourse on Reddit and other places like that.
I'm going in pretty blind to the series. Mostly because I don't want things spoiled for me.
Well, I think that's nice. But like, yeah, what's happening?
Well, I believe Aang can save the world. I believe that the seven havens, based on what we got in the opening credits, are going to be based off of the seven chakras. Not seven wonders of the world? Absolutely not. If there were seven okay, let's do it right now. If there were seven wonders of the avatar world, what would they be?
Well, clearly Alora.
Okay, so we're going like currently with what we know, Alora is one of the seven wonders.
Uh, one of the Buddhist temples. Uh Buddhist temple? I don't know. Buddhist temple?
There's no Buddhism in the Avatar world. They're air nomad temples.
Oh, you're right. Oh my god.
Buddhist temples? You know what? Are you even a super fan's wife?
I'm not a super fan, but I well, I was gonna say I'm close, but No cigar.
Okay, well don't smoke kids unless Joe Campbell offers you one.
Okay, let's go back to the chakras. Chakras. Yeah, yeah. Remember when you were an Avatar super fan to get in the clone, Jordan tried to prepare, and he decided he was gonna prepare by making a sort of a you mean before I went on the official Nickelodeon Brave in the Elements podcast when they had me on as a contestant?
So yeah, yeah. Okay, so in preparation, because I love a bit. If Jordan is just one big bit, I'm such a I'm such a big bit, I'm a chunk.
Well, okay, all right, chunk. Yeah, he made banana and onion juice.
It's called onion and banana juice. Thank you. If a super fan would know that, I'm I'm just saying.
Maybe we need to get another super fan on here. Or I don't know.
Multiple, have a panel. Sure. Reunite the okay, let's go back. So wait, wait, we're talking about onion banana juice.
Yeah, you drank it and it fouls.
I made it in a mortar and pestle. Like I had I was like a witch. I had it out and I was grinding it up. I didn't know And then we never used it again. I didn't know the proportions of onion to banana. I don't know if there's a liquid involved, like water. You should have like studied the the scene. It's a pretty thick consistency.
It's also kind of porridgey yellow in that one. I wish that that whole episode, the guru, would have been animated by JM and not DR.
And wish they would have like posted the recipe.
So, um, Mike, Brian.
Recipe.
Recipe. The fans are clamoring for it.
I am clamoring for chakras.
I don't know much about chakras or that world. I thought maybe you might know a little bit more with your deep history of yoga.
Well, I mean, block chi and uh etc. etc. No, I do not know enough. You got nothing, you can't help having nothing to contribute except for what I learned watching Avatar.
Wait, wait, so most of your knowledge about chakras comes from Avatar.
Uh, visually, I know that you can open up your chakras, and I feel like, you know, meditative state, you know, there's lots of woo-woo things that you can do to open yourself up.
So I believe the chakras are going to factor in somehow because again, in in After Our Last Airbender, we do focus basically an entire episode on Aang and the chakras. So Okay.
That's a lovely theory. So glowing gems, were they different colors? I think that's a good thing.
They were all different colors. They were the rainbow chakra colors. They were the colors of the chakra rainbow.
Okay.
But wait, wait, which one's the sacrum?
unknown Wow.
Red. Okay, I wasn't, I wanted to like talk about the episode. Oh, okay. I just feel like we are just like hanging out hanging out in the before the episode. I'm ready. Are you ready? I was not expecting like the music with Pavy.
Like her ability with with music, just like I need to practice.
He needs a lesson.
I had it, and I now it's out of my brain.
I'm gonna say, like, yeah, her playing the music, but also like the singing. I was very surprised that we were getting not just one song, but like singing multiple times and that was just from Pavi. Yeah.
Well, the voice actress of Pavi, um, she was in the national Broadway tour as young Anna in Frozen. So I think she has singing chops. She might she might even want to build Snowman.
Clearly. Yeah. I wasn't expecting it, but I enjoyed it. I was happy about it.
Did you think it was going to have greater significance to the story?
I mean, I was always hoping.
Well, yeah, like the story, the episode starts, and we're already talking about this like secret song that's been stuck in our head. So I was trying to think of the lyrics and like how is this going to play? Because I to start an episode with that probably implies that it's going to be pretty important later on.
Yeah.
But I'm happy we kind of like resolved it a little bit. But we got a flashback of their mom. So that was like that was like the emotional high of the episode. And I was surprised by it because we have this like raging camadillo freaking out and Pavise like calming in, which I thought was really nice.
Yeah, and it was nice that they're like both having these flashbacks and kind of regaining any sort of memory. I think it's yeah, it was lovely.
But are they the real memories? Or are they like Whoa? I don't know. Are they like some corrupted like spirit memory?
That's true.
This whole series is a mystery box so far.
Okay, also, I don't know about you, but were you getting that there was kind of like a like an Aang and Korra vibe?
I was also picking up but just like their their temperaments.
Uh-huh.
There's a there's two archetypes of an avatar. You're a pacifist or you're aggressive. Well, then I was like, well, I mean, yeah, I guess so. Maybe that is it. So what about them was bringing up those correlations? Correlations. Correlations.
I just think when they were having their little like sister Tiff, which I don't have a sister, and you don't have a sister.
Yeah, but you're kind of like my sister. Wow.
There are apparently just like sister dynamics that we do not understand.
That's true. We cannot empathize with the central conflict of this episode.
Yeah. And I just think, I mean, I've heard this from multiple people with sisters, where it's like, it's like it's a sister thing.
And just freak out on each other.
Mm-hmm. I hate you! Yeah, yeah. And then you like resolve it. Well, yeah, you've seen. Well, I don't need to say who you've seen.
I don't even know what you're talking about. This is so awkward. So they have an issue and it gets resolved because Pave is clearly a goober. She's a pacifist. And I'm appreciating that. I'm appreciating that we're like really showing off the different personalities of the twins.
Yeah, she's like gentle, tenderhearted, and it's nice. And kind of a weirdo. Yeah.
And that the weirdo part is really what's speaking to me. The fact she has like a bunch of rock friends and the faces are adorable.
And I feel like she's like unapologetically herself in this moment, and I'm I'm into it.
Well, it's Puppy's so interesting because we talked about that three-year thing that was revealed in the last episode, and clearly she's just been kind of like a street rat for the past three years, just uh developing all these strange, strange habits and friends.
And when you don't have much, right?
Just working with what you got. So the fact that she has all these inanimate objects that she has given personalities to, like, I think the the subtitle said Luster and Mika, but I thought Lester was the name, and I was like, I'm I'm way into Lester. Do you remember me telling you about my little inanimate friend in high school?
Which one?
Which one? Which one? My multiple, uh, my tuba? My tuba doesn't count. My tuba didn't even have a name. It was a Yamaha. Okay, what? Freshman year of high school. You were what, graduated already? Yeah, probably. Wow. I was in physical science and there's a little scrap of cardboard, and I drew a little like anime face on it.
Oh yes, yes.
And then I showed it to my friend because he has a permanent smile on his face, my cardboard, much like my friend who has a permanent smile on his face because of his cheekbones. That or he's happy, I'm not sure. Could be both. So we named him after his nickname, Smiley, Smiley Jr., and that piece of cardboard lived in my pocket every day, freshman year until I graduated, until our wedding day, until our wedding night.
Where is it now?
unknown I don't know.
No, it's in a box.
Sounds like it's close. Found it recently. It's gone through the wash multiple times, and it's definitely in like three pieces. Like it's like the corrugated cardboard, so it's multiple layers, but on one of the layers, I drew a little heart and said Smiley Jr.'s heart. Anyway, I totally get having inanimate object friends when you're lonely.
I'm gonna say, as we've already established, Jordan loves a bit. And so this was clearly a bit of a chill like it went too far.
I had friends who hated Smiley Jr., and I was like, this is a weird thing to really despise. I don't know about these friends.
They're not you need to go back to the little inanimate.
They can't hurt me. Oh god. Okay, back to Jay, who we all love. What do we think about Jay and Datu?
I think I it felt kind of forced. I think to me, like I didn't believe it like I wanted to.
You know, it's so hard when you're trying to show the significance of a relationship with somebody, and because it was two male characters, it probably felt like they needed to push any sort of like romantic motions, maybe a little more, versus had it just been just been, had it been a male and a female, you could be like, oh, I bet they're together.
So I don't know. Like, I appreciate that we have come so far where at the end of Korra, we were only allowed to see like Korra and Asami like barely touching hands because who knows? Like, also Brian and Mike, like, what were they gonna do to them? They'd already stripped their budget, stripped everything, and they were like, they should just be like, we're just gonna do whatever we want.
But the fact that we've come so far in specifically like Western animation that we can show right a male character kissing another on a cheek and having it be romantic implications, and having Karthik also reinforce it throughout the episode, like you've got someone you love, you have a good life. So that implies that these two have like been together and there is history there.
Yeah, I think I you wish Datu had come up maybe earlier.
I think so. And I think again in a more authentic way, I don't know what it was, it was it just didn't hit for me. I don't know. And and I think maybe something that came up as I thought, yeah, we were like writing the coattails of like Korra being like like all the positive uh reactions to the end of Korra with like Koran Asami, and so maybe they're like, oh yeah, we should like shoehorn shoehorn this in.
And so I don't know, but I think I might feel differently as it as you get to know Datu and Jay theoretically. Right. There's just been so much, and we haven't seen Steven Universe much. I've seen some episodes, but just the ability to have queer representation, especially in this time in our the political climate, is is really important.
So I'm really happy that we've done this and we're not we're not lingering on it. Normalizing it. It's not like it's not a big deal. Right. People weren't like, oh my god. So I was I was really happy with it. And it doesn't, you know, and if nothing else, it just shows me that Jay is is a big-hearted boy.
Well, I'll also say it's not like any of the other side characters are I'm not really excited about the other Bender group either.
So I mean I'm The Bender group that I am excited about is the White Lotus because those two are also weirdos, and I love both of them, especially Angry Fireboy. When he's like, Well, burn out the memories or whatever he said.
Yeah, yeah. That was good. The gal, why she kind of like Julie?
Yeah, maybe it's Julie's daughter. I don't know.
You don't know 250 years later, it's Julie's daughter. Okay. But I do appreciate that Jay's like trying to keep a secret, but like can't. Like I feel like I can really relate to that. I'm just like, I'm a bad liar and it's very stressful. And yeah, it's like Jay is like conflicted, doesn't know what to do because he wants to be honest, but he wants to help these girls.
So what do you think's gonna what's what's Jay gonna do? You we we speculated he was the weak link earlier.
I think Jay is he's gonna go all the way. I think he's gonna help these girls out to the best of his abilities, and I think maybe it's gonna test his relationship, but I think you know he was like, I felt like you before too.
I did love that he uh used Karthic's line on the girls at the end. I feel like you got emotional at that one. You're like, oh jay.
I know. I was into it.
Well, it is that time again, Katie. We're not gonna make a phone call. We got a special, we got a special call-in that I called in a favor for, and I'm very excited about this person that we're gonna have on. So, like we talked about multiple times in this episode.
Maybe too many times.
Maybe too many times. I'm an Avatar Super fan. Nickelodeon recognized me. It was like a process where I had to audition. I sent in a tape.
I You had to like prove, like, I don't know. You you found a lot of um memorabilia.
Oh, to to to pose with.
You had to be like, I am Okay, the memorabilia was like DVDs. I think there was like a blanket.
There was a there's no blanket. My brother got me the blanket, like recently. Oh anyway. But yeah, I had to like battle it out against like other people, and I never saw them again, so I don't know if they were plants or if I defeated them in this like forum kind of thing. Anyway, so they hired me. I was very surprised.
They hired other people to also be a part of this Four Nations forum that they did on YouTube. One of them, her name is Kendall Bird, and I got to meet Kendall in our like breakout green room for like 40 seconds before they threw. I mean, there was like zero preparation. I had been given a different set of topics that we were going to be discussing, and then again in the green room with Kendall, who I'm meeting this like very nice young person in this moment, I get this like all this information.
I'm like, oh, everything that I've prepared for is now bunk. Like, I can't use any of it. And so I'm like freaking out.
But what's weird is I feel like the person that you were working with was like different than the person that like everybody else was working with. So I don't know what happened with you.
Maybe I shouldn't have even been on it. Am I not actually a super fan? You know what? Is that supposed to be on something else? Like Drake and Josh? Oh my god. All right. Fairly odd parents? Okay, so you get the list. Bunge, bombs, square pants. The adventures of Pete and Pete, Ren and Stimpy, Rugrats, hey Arnold.
What's Pete and Pete? Don't worry about it. Clearly, you don't know. Clarissa explains it all.
How far can we go? He's like a broken record. So Okay, so you go in there.
So this pr yeah, so we go in there, meet this person, we have the we have our Four Nations forum. It's done. Anyway, it's been really fun to watch uh Kendall's progression from Avatar Superfan to now. Like full-on voiceover artist. She's been in a bunch of things. Most recently, I think she has a voice in Fire Emblem Fortunes Weave on the Switch 2.
I mean, she's just done a bunch. So Kendall getting out there. So we requested a voice note from Kendall. So Kendall, take it away.
Hey, hey! Kendall Bird here. Um, and oh my gosh, I loved, love, love, love, love the first three episodes of Seven Havens. Okay, first of all, loved episode one and the introduction of Pavi um and Geet and just like Jay and his whole brigade and crew, and then loved the surprise, of course, at the end of Nisha and also Nisha also being an avatar.
Like that's so cool. We have twin avatars. And I loved it because, like, in the promo, you know, they just built uh Nisha up being um only an Earth vendor and she could do it all. Um Karthic, though, is giving me like totally uh Tarlock vibes from season one of Legend of Korra. So we'll see what his grandstand is in the future.
But also, it's like super surprising that we see, I think in episode two or later on, that he's part of the White Lotus and the White Lotus lives. Um, so that's crazy. Because we have two avatars, of course, there's already theories floating around of like, oh my gosh, it's one Rava, it's one Vatu. Um, and that's kind of my leading theory.
Or maybe like the cataclysm was Korra, like merging Rava and Vatu, and both of them have uh a mix of Rava and Vatu in them. Because I know the show's creator talked about how this series is not gonna have like a villain, but there'll be antagonists and protagonists. So maybe the whole, you know, like theming of the season is gonna be there's light and darkness in everyone, and like where do you use that light and darkness?
Anyway, it's already been a minute. Um it's been a great series. Also, Love J and his boo Datu, I think. Um the weird energy thing from episode two, um, absolutely crazy. I feel like that's like a I thought at first it was like a Vatu thing, but it might just be like a spirit world chakra energy thing from the cataclysm.
I don't know, we'll have to see. Um, but yeah, it's gonna be super cool, and I already love seeing the differences between Pavi and Nisha um and just where their paths may lay. We have like Pavi being more Aang, Nisha being more Korra. Um, and I'm just so excited to see their journey and where it leads.
And I love that this like little team avatar is them and Jay right now, and we have like siblings. Um, and hopefully maybe they make more friends along the way and form a bigger team avatar. I don't know, it's been two minutes now, but it's been a great three episodes, and I cannot wait to see what's next.
Woo!
Aw, well, thank you, Kendall. God, what a delight.
That was lovely. Man, what a great voice. I know, great voice, great energy.
Great energy. That's what we like about Kendall. So, yeah, she talks about some really great things. She mentioned chakras. Chakras! Because she knows about chakras.
Chakras, so that was good.
But also, Kendall makes a really good point about, you know, the team avatar that we are assuming right now is just Jay Nishit and Puffy. And we all know Team Avatar needs at least four, preferably five.
Oh.
Maybe six if we talk about Suki.
So I mean, I just feel like, you know, show's young. I'm really excited for whatever's coming up.
But if we like, because Kendall, Kendall mentioned something because I am trying to go in fairly dark and haven't really been reading interviews, but the fact that maybe it is leaning more towards protagonists, antagonists, and not necessarily overarching villains, I think is more interesting because I got kind of tired of like villain of the season that we had in Korra.
Yeah.
And having this could be interesting ways to explore things. Because something that I really love about Miyazaki films is that generally they don't have someone who's like an overarching villain. You just have two differing points of view and different viewpoints and ideals kind of clashing. And that's always kind of more interesting from a story perspective.
So, okay. What do we think? Like possessed animals?
Okay, the red eyes. Well, okay, because then there was like a correlation between the freaky like red cubes that emerged out of the ground from they kept saying like the zapping energy thing that zapped us. Mm-hmm. And so, right, clearly it is Vatu coded, but Kendall was saying that maybe it's just something from the spirit world, which might be what what's going on here.
Some sort of like imbalance erupting.
Yeah. But the possessed animal, possessed city.
Possessed uh Commander Bhutan. Poor guy. But yeah, the animals freaking out. So when Puppy came up to sing her song, we never actually saw that it healed the the camadillo. It was still just kind of hanging out there with its glowing red eyes. So what happened?
Right. Well, it wasn't about that. It was about we had our flashback.
I know, but then we did we leave it? Like, there's that this is the the hanging th the hanging Chad that I'm curious about.
I'm not into hanging chad.
No one wants to talk about Gore v. Bush 2000. No. Uh yeah. So what's going on with the Campodill? Did we build it like a little cage?
Right.
Okay, so what do you think's going on with these possessed animals?
I mean, I was just feeling like negative energy, right? And they're like being affected. But yeah, maybe it's just like in an imbalance with the spirit world. I don't know.
unknown I don't know.
So imbalance with the spirit world stuff like has the spirit world been destroyed? Well, clearly.
It's chakras. Something there's energy.
We gotta open them up. We gotta open it up. The airbender's love for you has not left this earth. It has been reborn into new love.
Also, uh, I feel like Jay, you know, or like his advice with airbending. Yeah, and Nisha was like, I got it, I know how to breathe.
How many children have we interacted with that has that attitude?
Too many.
Shut up, stupid. I know what I'm doing. Okay, so with the we're clearly emphasizing a lot on our air friends, the doomed Karthik, and getting Tarlock vibes, that broke my heart. I don't know. I hope I hope Karthik's not a double agent or like have something secret. But yeah, I agree with Kendall. Karthik, there's something, there's some vibe there that just doesn't feel right.
And I hope it's wrong, and I hope Karthik stays with us.
Well, you know, it's always a red flag when it's like, do you trust me, Jay?
I know. There's been a lot of that in every episode, and you're like, well, the fact that you're saying it so much is making me question it.
I know.
And the fact that Jay narrated the opening credits makes me think Karthik maybe is on agenda. Something's happened. Anyway, so we're with the airbenders. Hundreds of years have passed, a cataclysm has happened. It's been kind of hard for me to see all these airbenders with full heads of hair. It's been kind of sad to see that you know, we focus so much on the first two series on the decimation of this culture and it kind of coming back.
And then it is kind of hard to see like a part of it has survived, but we've kind of stripped away the meaning that was imposed on it for centuries.
Well, it's in this people's debate with like tradition and all this stuff.
Oh, that's true.
Yeah, it's tough. It's tough out there.
I mean, and do we have air masters anymore? Is that even a thing? Are we gonna we gotta see an arrow at some point in the series, right?
I just feel like the only way to know is to continue on, which we will this Friday night.
Friday night, not Thursday night at like 1210 that happened last time. That was a little much. Other things from this episode, once we find out we're hanging out with the white lotus, we got the pie show board, we got white lotus tiles being thrown about.
With the with the three or four members, yeah, our three members, and we've just eliminated water.
Water is not invited to the table.
They have Well, and clearly, wait, wait, excuse me.
The You're excused.
The whatever, the lady who's in charge. Lady. Julie's daughter, Julie Jr. No, no, no. I said in charge. Oh, Kayoko, the Chancellor. Yes, the Chancellor. The Chancellor. She mannequin. I mean, she clearly, it was like, oh, we need to like reach out for help. And it was like, uh-uh, we're strong, blah, blah, blah.
Like, we don't want to appear weak.
Right. So do you think we're gonna have some sort of, I don't know, domineering haven that's maybe.
And then right, and clearly we have like Alora's the best, blah, blah, blah.
Alors's the best, but we're significantly weakened and we hang out in the desert, and it's seems kind of awful. I don't know. Okay, underneath in our little white lotus temple, uh, Karthik is apparently a collector. He's got imagery of Roku and Kiyoshi and Aang, and he had a big post- Okay, the poster, I got a little emotional seeing it, but I was also like, who took the time to make posters of Iroh and Zhang Zhang and P and Dao and Paku?
And who was the fifth? I didn't have enough, we didn't back it up or anything. But there was a woman on the far left. Was it Kaya?
I don't know.
There was a fifth position. In my mind, it was like Kiyoshi, but I don't think Boomy was there. Yeah, I don't know. Was there Boomy Erasure? Am I wrong? Yip, yippers. Am I wrong? Who are the five? Who are the five members of the White Lemon?
We might need to back this up. I don't know.
We should go watch that show again.
Um, thing speaking of backing it up. Back it up, backing up. You backed it up so many times to watch the opener. We watched the like We watched it three times. You wish we only watched it three times. We backed it up five times. Three.
Five times? You guys. That sounds like I have an issue. Five times burgers and fries. It's too late to be recording.
Okay, I think we need to wrap this up.
It's even later than the midnight.
Do you have any closing statements?
Yeah, I got closing statements. There's something else that we hung out when in this episode. The little training area looks like the crystal catacombs from Bossing say. I don't know if that's just an Earth Kingdom attribute or what's happening there. But I was getting, you know, at the Downstairs. The c don't say downstairs.
At the Crossroads of Destiny episode. You know what I'm talking about. The Crossroads of Destiny. I don't know what you're talking about. Chapter 20, Book 2 Earth. What? When we're fighting and they're like hanging out in the catacombs, and Zuko's like, I have changed. Oh yeah, yeah. Didn't that look like that scene?
Yes. But it looked a little different. I don't know. It seemed like, are we embossed? Is Laura bossing say?
Maybe. I don't know.
But we're clearly maybe in the Earth Kingdom.
Well, that's that's our time. We got our nighttime song. Awww. He's doing it! I did it! I figured it out! I'm the Avatar!
I think that song's called Avatar's Love, by the way.
Avatar's Love?
Avatar's Love. Okay, we get a good burn on Jay when they call him Win Boy. That was a great one. I appreciated that. We get a closing scene. I'm gonna call you Win Boy. I can be Win Boy. We get a closing scene. Not to shave my head. Like that girl who shaved her head in college next to me after Halloween.
I didn't talk to her about it, but she took clearly Crayola marker and markered up uh an arrow on her head through her hair stubble. Never asked her about it. Sat right next to me.
Wow, but she knew you were an avatar super fan in the making. She was clearly picking up on vibes. She was like, I'm gonna shave my head tonight.
I'm gonna show you. Never asked her about it. I should have. That would have been a great conversation. Talk about a misconnection. Maybe this would never have happened.
Maybe we should do like a, you know, throw it out like on Rena. Yippers. Okay.
If you were at Oregon State University in 2010 and there was a girl who had a full head of hair one day around October, the next day, all gone, washed out Crayola blue marker in the shape of an airbending master's arrow on her forehead, like Jenora. Reach out. Let's talk. I want to talk to her.
I feel like I mean, good for her. Just going for it. You know what's just hair? It's fine.
Okay, other things. I'm gonna close with saying, Avatar fans, we be eating good. You know, Nickelodeon, they've starved us, they've struck us, they've tried to strangle us and silence us. They couldn't. They wouldn't. You know, we started this all telling people to go to the library and watch Avatar again and look at us now.
We have so many projects, I can't even keep them straight. We have a Kurik show that's been announced for the Avatar, who the only thing we really knew about from the show was Co the Face Stealer stole his his girl's face and maybe his face.
Wait, whoa, what are we talking about?
There's an Avatar Kurik show that's gonna come out.
Who's Kurik?
Katie Kurik? Show's been weird. Okay. Avatar Kurik was the Avatar before Kyoshi.
Uh-huh.
Just blank face. No, no. So Avatar Kurik was from the water tribe. He lived in a time of peace, and so there just wasn't, I think, anything for him to do. So he was kind of a vagabond.
Sweet.
So I think people didn't, I don't know, I think they misremember like Kurik. They're like, ah, he sucked. I don't know. So it's about him being young, and he's, I guess, kind of a wild child, and maybe a goes off and bees a pirate at some point. So we got a Kurik comedy show coming in the near future.
Brian Kanitsko, one of the co-creators, is gonna be the showrunner, and I think that's gonna be pretty good. Good. The other thing that was announced, books three and four of Avatar Seven Havens. I know. They're really like, were you surprised? I was very surprised. I'm surprised they haven't slashed the budget and given us a recap show by now.
Just again, it's because you were like traumatized.
I was traumatized. Do you know how hard it was to be uh knee deep into book three fire in the original run and then just have silence for six months? It traumatized me. I mean, that would be pretty rough. Yeah. I was like, I'm gonna graduate, I I'm gonna go off and live my life, and I'm never gonna know how this ends.
I thought they just canceled it. And what they did to Cora, never forgive. Never forget.
But see, and then despite all this, you were like, Yeah, Nickelodeon, I will work for you.
Yeah, they paid me. They need to owe they owed me. I just I just want what's coming to me.
Wow. You just want your fair share?
I want my fair share. I forgot the line.
Uh, that is from uh Charlie Brown.
Christmas? Charlie Brown Christmas. It's Sally Brown. Okay. So we got books three and four. There's belief that maybe there could be a bit of a time skip between books one and two and three and four, which could be interesting. I don't know. What do you think? We we already we know that there's gonna be four seasons of this show.
I mean, that could be good. Yeah, it's skip ahead.
Four seasons total landscaping.
Oh my god. Uh yeah. I don't know. I think we just gotta see what they have.
I don't know. I think for me, it's so weird to be three episodes into this thing and speculating what we're gonna get four seasons out of. Like, we have no idea what they're planning for this this series. Like, so many havens, so many spirit world humble jumbles, so many avatars we haven't met, so much Korra mystery.
What's up with Bolin? Was he successful? I imagine.
Is Jay Bolin's son?
Oh, well, I guess if he got with Opal, could have happened. There's no way. Ain't no way. And the final thing I will say is congratulations, everyone. We've made it through the first week, the opening weekend of Avatar Seven Havens. October 9th, when the first three dropped, was originally supposed to be when Avatar or Aang, the last airbender, was supposed to come out in theaters.
What did you just say?
So the day that Avatar Seven Havens premiered was originally supposed to be the premiere date for Avatar Aang, the last Airbender movie. Ah, okay. Yeah, we could have been watching it at the movie theaters this weekend. Well, you know. How sad. I had to watch it at my mom's house. You got to. Because we weren't gonna pay for Paramount Plus.
But you know, we got it. We watched it, and I'm happy that this is out. And I've really been enjoying Seven Havens.
And I've been enjoying watching it with you slowly, methodically, and making you watch the opening credits five times. Allegedly, who knows? There's no cameras in this house. Five times at least. Five times. Burgers and fries. The last thing I'm gonna leave you with is the last thing. Avatar, I can't be responsible for the things that happen on this podcast.
Avatar Seven Havens, as of this recording, on Rotten Tomatoes, has a 100%.
Wow.
Even with that at times shoddy animation.
That that seems pretty high.
Is it too high?
I'm gonna say it's too high. Dang.
I think it deserves it. But that's I mean, I'm happy about it. I'm happy about it too. So, congratulations, everyone. I hope 100%. 100%. Alright, we made it. Who knows what's gonna happen on the future? We got three masked baddies. I think, based on the trailer, they're gonna fight.
I think something's gonna go down.
Something's gonna go down. Maybe we'll learn more about chakras. Who knows? Maybe they'll have banana and onion juice. That sounds so yummy right now. Especially if we had caramelized onions and bananas foster blended up in a blender.
You guys, I hope you're having a great week.
And if you have a blocked chakra, go to the Eastern Air Temple and find Guru Patik and he can help you out. Great advice. Yep, yep. Yep, yep.
Are you even a super fan if you don't have a Kalimba?
I don't even have headphones. They're not even attached, they're not plugged in.
They're not even around.
No, they're they're just gone. They've been vanished into the spirit world. Hi, hey, how do I sound? Because I don't know how I sound.
Loud and proud.
Cool!
Beautiful, baby. Beautiful.
