Hello, ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to the 724th episode of.
The Geekverse podcast. I am Watch You While You Sleep, Travis Snell, and I'm joined by.
I'm the Return to Your Seat, Kirkland Patzer.
I'm the Dancing Man, Taylor Field.
Yes, here we are. Another Geekverse episode. Another Geekverse review. And another journey into the not-too-old DCU. Because, really, Creature Commandos, that started in 2025, right? So this universe is only... Last year?
Yeah.
In January, December? Or was it maybe... Did it bleed into January?
It has to be 2024.
Did it start in 2024 and go into... December 5th, 2024.
When was the finale?
Okay, so the finale was in 2025. So still, this.
This world is just barely two years old now, right?
Yeah, just.
Wait, is it? No, it's going to be two years in December now. So it's still only two years old.
It ended January 16th. It premiered December 5th.
Yeah, but of 2024, right? So I'm saying this December. So not even a two-year-old of the universe.
We reviewed everything from Peacemaker Season 2, Lanterns, me and Taylor just did.
We did Superman.
We did Supergirl.
And you guys did Creature Commando.
So if you want to know all our thoughts, obviously we'll probably allude to them a few times. throughout this cast, but we cover all the DCU, just like the MCU, uh, and here we are, Clayface, um, just, uh, we have some other plugs, uh, throughout the episode, but if you want to know our thoughts on Clayface, uh, my long-term thoughts, and some of these guys' first-time thoughts, we, a couple weeks ago, reviewed the Batman the Animated series, it was our first episode, it's going to be a monthly series for our patrons, but, uh, yeah, we reviewed A Feet of Clay, the two-parter, and, uh, On Leather Wings, so, uh, we'll probably talk about that as well, but if you're, if you like the DCU stuff, and you like the
Batman stuff, that was, uh, very, uh, I guess I can't say a very different review, but I, I imagine it's going to be very different review. So yeah, you can go check that out. We had lots of fun there and we're going to be doing that for the next, uh, year and a half. And so, or two years of reviewing Batman, the animated series every month.
So check out for that. Lots of great stuff on the feed.
We got our 24 hour charity stream come up November 7th, but we'll talk about that a little bit later. We're going to get right to the nitty gritty of it. And, um, I have no one else to throw it to because Nathan Filler is not going to give me anything. So Kirkland Pats are.
You have no one else to throw it to? I'm right here.
Well, I meant like, no, but usually it's like, oh, who am I going to go with? Oh, I see.
It's an easy option, right? And I don't like starting. A lot of the time I do, but I don't like starting because people are hearing me rambling the opening. So Kirkland, obviously a couple of weeks ago, we did predictions, talked about things, our excitement level. We're on you now.
Obviously, if people don't know, we review this in non-sports.
So it'll probably be about, you know, 10, 15 minutes of us just saying if we'd recommend it, our likes and dislikes, but not spoiling anything in the film, we'll take an ad break, and then you have a chance to bounce.
Or if you don't care, you can just listen on through.
But Kirkland, in your non-sport thoughts, where are you on 2026 Clayface?
I feel like it's been a long time coming from talking about that this was being made, talking about what it could look like, the concept, and just all that kits and caboodle, if that's even a saying. But I feel like the first teasers... I was just hooked. I'm like, man, this like, this could be like my Andor of like, you know, like maybe it's not going to do really well numbers wise, but it's just going to be like critically just an amazing movie and totally up my alley. Um, and then we got closer to, and like more longer trailers are coming out and I'm like kind of piecing together what this movie could be looking like. And I got a little bit scared because I really don't like the gross body horror stuff. And God damn, is there
some of that in here for sure? I was, definitely screaming and uh and and squirming in my seat multiple times there's like there was a couple that were like that were like kind of gross and then there was one it's not even a spoiler like it is in the trailer but like when he's on the plane and like he's he's doing his eye stuff man i like literally couldn't even look at the screen yeah.
But like extended sequence of that It felt so long.
It felt like a 10-minute sequence. So, yeah, I was uncomfortable watching that. There's just other stuff with needles that I just don't like watching that stuff.
Lots of eye torture in this movie, too.
Emily wasn't with me, but I said to her, I got.
Back, like, oh, you would hate this movie because she hates anything with the eyes. When he's digging.
Oh, man, that was just fast.
Yeah, and there's nothing you haven't seen. Like, literally all things, I'm going to name them in the trailer. A knife, a needle, and, like, that airplane sequence. But they're obviously way more... it's not the PG 13 trade. It's the movie. So it's much more gorier. So it's like, Oh God, it doesn't, it doesn't bug me. But if you don't like anything to the eye, not a movie for you, you know, lots.
Of eye torture born in here. Yeah.
I hate that stuff. Um, it's not that like I watched that and I'm like, brings down the quality of the movie. I mean, if that's the whole movie, then I guess I just wouldn't really jive with it whatsoever. But, uh, honestly, overall, I feel like I did really, really enjoy this. It was, it was fun watching it. Uh, Taylor was having some good reactions. I feel like we were reacting to different stuff.
I was really squeamish with the gross stuff. There was a particular scene that totally got Taylor. Totally got Taylor so good. I was laughing so hard next to him. A little jump scare moment. You got jump scared in this movie?
It got me so fucking good, man.
I just think there's nothing in this movie that jumps out.
I did not see it coming.
That's your little hint in that particular sequence.
That's crazy.
I thought you were talking about something else because there's other scenes in this movie that I thought immediately of Taylor right away.
So we'll get there. We'll get there.
But yeah, I think I'm a little bit conflicted because I feel like there is a lot of really good stuff in here, but it really was missing something that kind of, brought it all together to make it, like, a 10 or, like, a 9.5 plus in my mind.
Gee, I wonder who could have been added to this movie that would have helped it, you know?
I don't even think it's anything about that, about, like, another character that could have been in here. It was just, like, the execution of it.
Like, it.
Well, that... I don't want to say too much.
No, I'm talking about director of, like, they had Mike Flanagan write the script, and that's... Like, don't get me wrong.
I see. I guess we'll talk about it on spoilers and other stuff. Don't get me wrong.
Certain characters probably could have eased it, but it definitely could have used the Midas touch of a guy that's, like, known for outstanding horror series, like Midnight Mass or Doctor Sleep, you know? It's like, I very much, you know, would love to see the version that he would direct. It's great they wrote it, but it doesn't feel like.
Was there something that happened that he, like, wasn't directing?
I think it was just time-wise that they needed a project, and he wasn't ready to go. He was doing Carrie and a bunch of other stuff, so I think they just didn't want to wait, and alas, here we are, you know?
Alas.
Um, so yeah, there's definitely something that was missing that I thought would have made this just totally stellar. Uh, I don't know if it's necessarily like it could have been fixed if it was just longer. I think if they just focused their, their attention, what they were showing, like, like I think a lot of the stuff in the beginning, I didn't like not like it, but just looking back on it, I wish we maybe cut a lot of that out to kind of spend some time in other areas.
So I'll detail specifically what that is when we get into spoilers, but. Overall, I feel like it was definitely a fun ride. It was a fun experience. I don't think I'm really ever going to seek this one out again, personally. I might throw it, just because I hate those scenes so much. Same thing with The Substance. I could definitely appreciate that movie. It was a wild ride, but I never want to watch.
That movie again.
It was so gross. For a character origin, I feel like it was definitely a solid thumbs up, in my opinion. I thought they did a good job at kind of giving you like, like the, the insight into like, man, this guy got fucked over and like, you, you kind of feel bad for him, but then obviously like just kind of, just kind of escalates. And then he's starting to do some morally questionable things. And I, I feel like maybe by the end, it seemed like we were really jumping, like fast forwarding his progression of like going over to like the bad guys.
We missed a couple of cut scenes. Yeah.
Yeah, exactly.
Right.
But, uh, I don't know. I really like the main actor guy. I can't remember what his name is. I think it's Thomas Rhys Harris, I think. I thought he was awesome. I thought he was really charismatic. I feel like I do want to see him in more things.
Thomas Rhys Harris.
And I feel like he had just, like, a really good, like, face for this type of role. It's kind of a weird thing to say because it's, like, a lot of weird stuff going on with his face with, like, a drooping and old clay aspect. But, like, i don't know it just it just fit him really well and uh i thought he did a good job and yeah i want to see even more things um really didn't like the actor for like our main like kind of antagonist villain guy like the main head honcho guy he was literally reminding me of like the um the rebel moon guy uh at times not that he reminded me of him but just like that type of like this guy should be like a street goon but he's like the head honcho and it just i i was always taken
out of it every time he was on screen um do it but uh yeah but overall yeah good good enough time i i think by the end of it i was getting a little bit more okay with the uh the body torture stuff the the gross stuff that was going on but maybe it's just because like the worst of it was kind of in that middle portion of the movie there's definitely some gross things happen later on but it's it's nothing to like the level that that it was uh in those middle sections in my opinion but yeah uh i digress i'll pass the baton To one of you.
Taylor, you take that baton.
Yeah, Kirkland, sitting next to you, it was quite a show because I didn't know if you were going to make it through.
But you did good. I was a little uneasy. You were a little uneasy.
I was almost like the guy in front of us that just walked out.
Oh, yeah, walked out, came back after the plane scene. But, yeah, you're just going like this, covering your eyes.
And I had popcorn and a drink, too, which is probably not the best combo for a movie like this. But, like, scenes like that would happen. I'd be so grossed out. I just wouldn't be, like, touching my popcorn. As soon as it ends, I'm just, like, munching again because I'm just a popcorn fiend in the theaters there.
Popcorn no butter, though. So that's, yeah. as we talk about, if I speak, that's some questionable tactics.
I'm with you, Kirkman. I don't do the butter either.
You guys are fucking crazy here.
Just the seasoning.
Just me. The seasoning is, like, salty butter.
I don't do anything.
But, yeah, this movie, I actually.
I really enjoyed it once we got into like the, the final act, like the back half of this movie.
Like I liked where we're.
Kind of starting off, you know, slow and, and you know, it was building up the density. But once we got to the end where like this guy really owned it and he was having fun with it, I thought I'm digging this. This is really, really like I'm jiving with this, the whole like C and sequence here. Like I am really like, I'm, I'm eating this up. This is great. And, um, it fooled me because at the very, very end I thought like.
Oh, are you fucking kidding me? They're really doing this.
But no, they, they, they, they trick you. And I'm, I'm glad that they, they do that. But, um, no, I think there's, there's the scene that Kirkland alluded to that, that totally got me. I jumped out of my fucking seat. It freaked me out.
I couldn't stop laughing.
There's nothing in this movie that I would think that would do that. Like there's some scenes where it's like, okay, the jump scare didn't get me, but there's no, I'm so curious when we get to spoilers.
There's nothing I can think of right now.
It got me good.
It got me good.
But then the other, the other thing too, is it's like the classic James Gunn thing here, you know, married or fiance. I'm not going to say, I'm not going to say, but just, you know, married or fiance, watch out.
Um, I'm not going to say anything.
I'm just going to say it's very specific plot point.
No one, no one knows. No one knows.
No one knows.
But, um, yeah, James Gunn, man.
He, uh, Yeah, it's funny because it's like the director's got their own kind of, you know, their own script or whatever.
I feel like James kind of reads it like, no, let's put this in here.
All right, stop, stop. We're going to get there in spoilers. Stop. My God. Jesus Christ. Thank God I did make it.
Yeah, I think all in all, though, this was.
This movie had a vibe to it that didn't, to me, feel like it was in the DCU.
This.
aesthetic and atmosphere this movie had it made me feel like it was in the reeves verse to be honest and i would totally be okay if this was a movie in that universe with with rob's batman and uh you know uh colin's penguin and everything i think that would actually it would fit and jive pretty well um but yeah it's uh it's it's fun just to kind of look up for the little easter eggs in here i mean there's a couple that i caught but i'm definitely not the most avid of of um batman and dc aficionados so i'm sure there's a plethora more in here and i you know i'd be tempted to look at what some of those are and then go back and re-watch this movie because i do feel like i want to watch this movie another couple times because it's
i think everyone i feel like everyone really came to bat and played a really good uh a good part in in this film and i i did quite enjoy it i'm more than the supergirl i know that for sure um But a theater wasn't exactly that full. I feel like the Supergirl theater was a lot more packed.
Yeah.
I only had like 15, 20 people in there.
That's more than what we had. I feel like we easily had like under 10. Just around like 10.
Okay. Kirkland, you're muted.
Damn it. You shouldn't have said anything.
I feel like it was a little bit over 10.
A little over 10.
We were the only two people in this theater.
Yeah.
Is there any thoughts? He points at me on a fucking audio podcast. My God. Yeah, there we go. Take my clay.
Yeah, you know, I usually give a rigmarole and all this and everything. I hate to be this way again. I don't think I'm failing this movie, but this keeps happening with the DC projects where I feel like we're going into it and we're like, oh, clearly Travis is more invested.
Or more interested. We had that with Superman.
We had that with Lanterns, and now I think we have that Clayface where I'm way more excited going in. And at the end, when I talk to you guys about it, I'm like, oh, I'm clearly lower than you guys. Like I said, I don't think this movie is a fail. I do think it's kind of what I theorize where it is a better version of the Sony Marvel movies.
This movie has a couple moments that are like head scratching.
Okay, why would we do that? That doesn't really work there.
But it doesn't have massive just Grand Canyon holes that Venom, Morbius, Madam Web did, right? So it is in a different class of its own there. I think this movie's just kind of... It's kind of a weird one. I think it just doesn't really know what it exactly wants to be. Other than, okay, it has the body horror part.
Oh, hang on, hang on. Oh, yeah, hang on. Oh, I just could not continue talking without those neck cracks there.
Sound like Clayface.
Yeah, it's just on my eyes before I got here. And my asshole is just sealing up, just.
I hate when that happens.
Yeah, no pair of scissors can stop it. So, yeah, I guess it's just strange because I remember when the marketing is happening where they go, well, this is what they could do, right? Instead of pitching it as like a superhero movie, they'll pitch it as like a horror movie and try and get that crowd.
At times, that movie, this movie feels like that. But other times, it just feels like another generic superhero movie. type of project.
And I, I think that's where we'll have to see, you know, opening weekend's always one thing, but weekend two, I do think it'll have a big drop off. And I actually don't think it's gonna have that great a word of mouth because I think it's gonna be looked at as like, okay, so it's a fine superhero thing and then it's semi of a horror movie. Um, I just don't think it's gonna go with that crowd. I think it's something you've seen before. Like I said, it's all those type of anti-hero movies. Like, there's nothing that this guy's doing that Frank Castle's not doing. I'm not talking about his powers, but just like who he's tracking down, right? So, I just think that they kind of were I think it's fine with.
The same way the MCU would do it.
Like, oh, this is an MCU movie, but it's a heist film.
This is an MCU film, but it's like a.
What's another one that they were riffing off of? Like space comedy. Now I'm completely blank. Oh, like political thriller, Winter Soldier. They'd always do that, right? So I'm fine with that with the DC Universe. I just thought they were maybe going to make this more horror-like. And I know what people are going to say. Like, oh, well, he's a monster and he's doing all this stuff.
And all the body horror. I get that.
I just feel like the actual plot structure feels very much exactly like a Morbius.
Where, Oh, someone's out there. Someone's dying. There's a vampire.
Like you have that same kind of white meat, no character detective that's trying to put things together. And there's no plot line there. Uh, there is, I'd say a romantic storyline here. I think the leads have chemistry, but the writing is not there. You just take big leaps and bounds. Like Kirkland was saying with the ending too, like there's just things we skipped to. And I felt the ending was, uh, Very cheap in two ways, which we'll have to wait until we get to spoilers to get there, but I just felt it was, oh, well, people are going to say we did this. I'm sure maybe it's that way in the script, but I really feel like they watch this movie and they're like, oh, people are going to ding us on this. Well, let's
just add this scene in here and that'll make it better. I think this movie was like, it was just fine.
It was fine. I don't know when I'll watch it again. I agree with what you guys said.
I think Thomas Reese Harry's, I think, hopefully that's how you say his name.
I think he was great. It almost made me sad that he's just Clayface. I would like him to maybe have a different role in the DCU, but I thought he did a great job here.
Naomi Aki's always great, and then everybody else is just kind of there. There's no one that stands out, and if anything, it's kind of the reverse of that. Like Kirkman said, I'll say all the villains, definitely the main crime boss, but all the villains, that's where that feels the most like the Sony Marvel of, oh, this is very paper-thin characters, and unfortunately... I'll say actors, but I think it's just what they're given. So yeah, I think for me, I see little bones in what I was alluding to. I see remnants, small DNA of Flanagan stuff.
I think the last scene in this movie, oh, that's a Flanagan thing, but this is definitely not a.
Flanagan movie or project. Not that it would be.
He didn't direct this. They had the script rewritten and everything, but it's not like, oh, okay, it's that vibe, but a little different. No, I very much wish we got to see that version, and I thought this was just kind of fine and I don't think I I won't say I'll never watch this again but I I can't see myself putting this on because as much as I liked Thomas in that role I don't it was like so incredible I gotta see it again but I think that's at least a good thing they're doing with the problems with Supergirl Millie was great with my problems with this he's great Superman even then I didn't love as much as other people he's great same thing with Lanterns however you feel some people don't but I feel the
majority still go like oh Kyle Chandler and uh Aaron Pierre fantastic casting so and that's why you do is you go get phenomenal talent, so then they kind of raise that up. And I think Thomas did do that with a lot of material that was kind of lesser than. So, yeah, there was a big thing that I laughed at for what Taylor's alluding to. But, yeah, the ending for me was, I don't know, not earned at all. So we'll get there in spoilers. I would.
If you're a big DC comic.
Like, I think if you're listening to this podcast and you're a big DC comics fan.
You're seeing this. If you're on the fence.
I think this is a fine one to watch the VOD just in a world where there's so many other shows and movies out there. And we're in video games. We're just like, just a plethora of content. I can't really recommend this. I'm not, like I said, I spoiled my score. I'm not going to fail this movie. I wouldn't say it's even a bad movie. I just think there's other things you could go see or do with your time that would feel more justified. I think it's going to be different mileage for everybody. Obviously these two guys like it a lot more than me but this is not one I would recommend running out and yeah my kind of streak with the DCU Lanterns got close but I still am just waiting to level out DCU Project and it's just not there and yeah I just
think there's once we talk about spoilers there's quite a few issues where I just go alright like I guess this movie's a thing and it's doing what it does but it doesn't It doesn't make me want to go out and recommend this product to a bunch of.
People, which I guess I already said. Anything else, Kirkland?
No.
Some comments.
Sean Jones says, it's hard to be both body horror but not be too scary for a comic fan.
And I agree.
I think that's where, if that's what you're saying, I think that's where they kind of fell, where they didn't really pick a lane. To me, it was very comic book-y, but then also they're trying to be the horror fan.
Aspect. Let's see. Would have loved it if they used a little more of the Hulk deep themes. Can't get there.
And then Pluto, saying hard disagree. Solid 8 out of 10 for you.
There you go. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I wish it was an 8 out of 10 for me. My score's not definitely that high. Ted, do you have anything else to say, non-spoiler, before we break the wall?
No. No, I do not.
Okay.
So if you've not seen the movie, now's your time to break away, if you have, or you don't care. We're going to take an ad break, and then we're going to break it down piece by piece.
We'll be right back. And we're back. All right, Taylor, let's start here and get this out of the way. Can you, for the jury, give.
Your defense of, or give your case, plead your case of the history of what Gunn likes to do and then what he does here?
Well, I feel like there's a notorious reoccurring theme here at James Gunn Projects where he likes to just, you know, a girl in a committed relationship just ends up having sex or does something frivolous with a man, and what happens here.
What are your examples, though? What are these examples?
Examples?
Yeah.
I said plead your case. I wanted you to lay out the history here.
Oh, it's been a good minute.
Okay, so in Peacemaker, I'll see John Cena that sleeps with hardcore.
Who's he?
Who's he?
I was just believing this because Taylor was like, oh, imagine this happens in Clayface. And I kind of thought it didn't. But I'll do some of this work for Taylor.
Peacemaker.
Peacemaker obviously has an affair with Jennifer Harcourt, right? Or not Jennifer.
I can't remember her. I'm missing out their names. But Harcourt. And then we get to Lanterns.
Sorry, Kirkland Myers-Boros. That happens with two different characters. Two different characters have affairs.
Oh, wow.
So you got that going on. What else do we have?
He really loves that theme, then.
Supergirl, we didn't have anything, right? And Superman, we didn't have anything?
Extended cut, I think.
Superman and Peacemaker, the thing is, Breach is like the fourth wall where James Gunn has his wife with John Cena in the shower, like, yeah, get in there.
And then Superman, he pitches.
You know, Lois Lane, the actress.
No, no. Look at this chemistry they have.
First of all, there's a real fear.
You were sending us those videos. You were sending us those videos.
I send the videos, but I'm not saying we're in them saying, look at this great chemistry. I talk more with Jimmy Olsen, the same thing. You know, he's trying to cuck Lex Luthor. So there's multiple.
And I can't remember Creature Commandos that happened. I'm sure it did. Every episode.
Every episode.
Well, even Frankenstein's monster, right? He had the queen or whatever sleeping with, what's his name? Senior or something.
Yeah, but was she single?
Barty Crouch.
Senior. Either way.
So this movie, I'll say, pretty much opens up with, there's a couple, which the title card was really weird.
Just as she like shot the street.
It felt like a totally different movie. It was so strange, the opening.
The Bride.
The Bride and Professor Frankenstein were fucking.
I said that.
The monster. You said that?
Yeah, I said Frankenstein's monster. Yeah, we covered that already. Um, so anyway, so yeah, it felt, it felt like they forgot a title sequence.
Like, Oh fuck.
Just like, can you put Clayface somewhere? And it was just like in a little corner. Like they didn't want us to know.
It's like, okay.
It just felt like a totally different, like, it was like a, like a weird song.
Like there she goes.
It wasn't that song, but it was that type of energy, which it was just so strange. It was like a two thousands rom-com.
Yeah. And I just thought that it was, I was hoping like, Oh, is this like a fake movie? Like they doing that? Cause he's an actor. We're starting with it. And it wasn't, he's just in the car reading lines. Okay. So anyways, you meet a little bit of Matt Hagen, his life, his friend. He's getting roles. He's up for an Oscar. Great.
He gets to a club and he sees this woman, which I got to admit, he looks over this woman's dancing address.
That's literally the first thing that I thought of when that nip slip just popped right out.
She was looking like a Primo GTA 6 character.
So shout out to that lady. She's a very attractive lady.
But anyway, so of course, he bumps into her, they're talking, they're both actors, and then somebody says, like, oh, she's some Lombozo's girlfriend, and he's like, oh, not tonight, she's not. So one, I love that not only, and we're going to get there, not only does he sleep with this woman that's in a relationship, Taylor, that is the inciting incident.
That is the reason he becomes Clayface, because he was cucking somebody. And then we're going to get thereafter, but then also Naomi Aki is also engaged in And he's striking up a relationship with her. So, Taylor, you're like, oh, it's going to be so funny what happens to Clayface. It happens twice in this fucking movie where a guy is going after someone in a relationship.
So, I don't know, man.
It is starting to be fucking weird that the DCU has, like, almost every project has this trope. Like, someone has, even if it's by mistake, someone has to point out, like, we got to stop having these guys fuck people's like wives and girlfriends and stuff. Like, I don't know what happened, but yeah, I guess to, to get the non-joking part. Oh, anyways, do you want to say anything to that? You happy about that? That, that streak's continuing?
Ah, that I'm happy the streak's continuing? No, I just, it's, it's, it's, it's a peculiar reoccurring theme.
Um, yeah, like there's, James, I don't know.
Like, is that the first thing if we ever got on the pod, is it the first thing you would ask him?
I would ask him, I'd say like, what kind of, what color is your chair? What kind of, you know, what kind of, is it made out of.
Like leather or, or, you know, suede?
But, no, I just think that it's such a weird thing. Yeah, because it's in every single project. So like, what the hell, man?
Like, I don't know.
We weren't getting that in the Snyderverse or, you know, before. So, I don't know.
He almost had Bruce Wayne pregnant at Lois Lane though. That's a conversation for, that was in one of the drafts originally. When Superman was dead, he had, uh, Clark and low Clark and Bruce get together.
Another cast, another cast.
We'll circle back. Holy shit.
So anyways, what happens is he hooks up with this girl, the club wakes up, she gets out. I don't need a robe.
Um, and again, this is not like a negative. I just was like, Oh, I guess that's the reason why his face get cut up. Cause he just like had an affair, which is like, all right. For me, it was like a little anticlimactic. I thought there'd be a bigger reason behind it, whether you have the money or screwed someone over. Like, I guess he did screw someone over in a sense, but I thought it was just kind of like a, Like, oh, all right. Which even then, it's like, technically, you should be more mad at her.
What does it matter with this guy? It's like, he's not a part of your relationship.
So, I don't know.
I was a little underwhelmed by, oh, he had an affair. That's why his whole life was ruined.
Okay.
Sure.
Were you all satisfied with that? Didn't care?
I thought it was fine.
I don't know.
He just gets caught in that situation. Like, he totally gets fucked over. Like, sure, his buddy... mentions that but like she already drugged him i don't know like.
How quickly that type of drug.
Like hits but like he seemed pretty much in euphoria uh and she obviously like just totally leaves him to the wolves like she just gets up out of there and then walks away um and yeah it just it definitely kind of reminds me.
But with a.
Blade he did that to himself in this movie though instead.
Yeah the reverse final finisher if that scene was literally like a mortal combat finisher it felt like when you just like like just all the detail of it at the end oh i.
Was talking about when he when he took all the purple juice or the pink juice when he when the first.
Yeah and he just like ejected them all but i see.
That scene was pretty funny i did chuckle though like this main villain guy was just so goofy his voice was just goofy to me he just he like i say he just seemed like a see villain like literally the characters that's like look it's the bat like like one of those like fucking goons that's like watching the door for whatever main villain and i just laughed every time he pulls out this fucking blade that's like two and a half inches long like it's just so tiny like his little carving knife and he pulls it out at the end and it just it just looks so goofy to me but uh yeah i thought the inciting incident was good.
Though dale you're fine this is what should happen this guy has a fair cut up his face Oh, I mean, you just.
Obviously we don't, we don't know what the, the level of, of crime bosses with this guy. Right. And I, with the guy, his buddy says the name and it's like, I don't even know like this name. I was expecting like a Falcone or Moroni or something name. Um, but no, this guy is in the movie industry. He's building casinos in Gotham. Like this guy, where's Batman? Batman's just letting this guy run the show.
I think this guy looked pretty minor to your film. I think Batman, they did say Batman is operating in this movie and he's dealing with other stuff. That's what they did say.
Well, now he's got a serious fucking problem. He's got to deal with Clayface.
Which it is funny, too.
You would think that if it happened in a day or two, it's like, oh, that's why Batman wasn't there because all the shit went down. But the Matt Hagen stuff's going on for weeks, it feels like. I don't know. Batman could be in space right now with the Justice League or something, right? Oh, it's cooking back there.
Yeah, that's the fridge beeping.
Uh, he could be, he could be in space, who knows, but, um, yeah, that's, uh, yeah, I would have loved to have had, again, just, the aura from this movie just made me think of Rob's Batman and it would have been nice just to think that this is in that same universe, but, you know, it's, it's not and this is where it is, so that's okay, uh, but him just, uh, being carved up because i mean they were talking about his dad right like yeah.
We knew your old man he was a piece of shit kept fighting our.
Guys until i fought back he's like what do you what is this guy talking about i don't even think uh um oh my god i can't remember the clay faces and matt matt hey i can't i don't even think matt knew what the fuck was going on um but yeah just brutal like just he had to cut up his face and everything like that just uh and like yeah it's just the the the girl was sleeping around, apparently, right?
But the guy was just kind of in denial. Like, this is like the Cleopatra thing we were talking about earlier.
Like, you sleep over there and then you get, you know, in trouble. I don't know what.
You're talking about. Or it's an ox on a moon, you know?
An ox on a moon, yeah.
With the paint, you know?
Oh, man.
Or another classic movie. Remember that fuck? We talk about it all the time, right? Remember that fucking terrible scene in Suicide Squad 2016 of, like, you want to fuck my girl?
You want no beef? Like, I don't, that's your girl, Joker. That's your girl. You want beef?
Like, yeah, that was pre-James Gunn, obviously, but, yeah, again, yeah, it's like, why, it should be the other way around of, if you have such a problem, why, because that's who I am. It's like, anybody that shoots, like, I would, unless it's something you personally know, why do you care who the other person is? You should care like what your partner is doing. That's the person that fucking hurt you.
This is some random at Oscar guy who's high on fucking drugs right now.
And it's like, okay. And again, this is not a big problem. It's just like, okay, sure. So this happens.
He's all cut up and kind of, and I guess that's one thing too, is Kirkland, you open up with the eye thing in the airplane. I guess that's something I was disappointed with where I feel like, everything that was the big sequence or gross out scene we had seen in the trailer, we just got more of it.
Right.
So I was kind of hoping there was like another scene or two, cause we got him in the doctors, him like his face falling part of the doctors. We got that him hugging someone and choking them.
We got the eye thing. We got him cutting up his face.
So I just kind of felt like they'd shown all that good stuff, which I get you have to sell a movie and people that don't follow the stuff are probably better off. But, um, yeah, from this point they just, uh, he's fucked up lots of stuff's going on his manager leaves him his agent leaves him his friend dips because which he had a good reason he's like hey they're threatening my family everything obviously we do learn later that that friend's not being completely truthful but still at this point it's like okay that makes sense you know you don't want to because when matt is like i'm gonna make him pay it's like what the fuck are you gonna do this current state is before his clay face right it's like What are you going to do, man?
You're nobody. You just got defeated easily.
And the money guy, like, stole his money. He's like, oh, yeah, I invested your money for you.
Bad investments.
Didn't work. Didn't work, yeah. So good luck with your life. Like, he totally gets fucked by everyone.
Oh, yeah.
And then he's living in this apartment with big cockroaches and everything.
Cockroaches.
They were so fucking big.
He was massive.
At first, I actually thought how big it was.
I actually thought his face, like, came apart, like some of his stitches at first. But then when he turned, I was like, oh, I guess it is a cockroach.
And then at this point, he's mad.
He's looking through magazines and he sees Naomi Aki. I can't remember her character's name. And she's talking about this fucking trial.
Caitlin? Okay, there you go.
And then it's the classic scenes where it's okay. He's going to do internet searches, watch her on talk shows. And, oh, you're a crazy scientist. I don't think this is ever going to work.
Like, oh, it'll work one day. And all that type of fucking Oscorp shit where you're like, okay, we've been here before. He goes there. She's not doing human trials anymore.
And then it just proceeds to get montages of them continually working on the face, getting closer, she asks him about his movies.
Taylor, obviously this was cuck relationship number two.
One, did you think it was going the way of love? And then two, did you buy their chemistry? Did you think there wasn't enough?
How were you on the mat and Caitlin?
I bought i bought the chemistry the moment that um they were standing outside and she kind of like touches the side of his head and like looks at him and then he says he says a line and then she's like i'm i'm right over i'm that way and i'm like okay i feel there's.
Some genuine chemistry here yeah.
No one in relationships touching a face like that to another person like no okay she's dealing with faces it's like no no you're not caressing someone's cheek like that.
Shoutouts to her fiancé, though, because he is one of the main guys in The Handmaid's Tale. That's the only thing I have actually seen him in.
No, that's a lie.
No? What else was he in?
It's something we reviewed.
I'll let you try and think about it while Kirkland goes.
How the fuck am I going to remember what it is?
It was in the last five years. I'll give you that.
Oh, fuck.
Now, Jesus.
Two kids later.
2021.
I'll narrow it down for you. You know? Are you serious?
Well, I'm looking at it right now.
Oh, you do know. That's funny. Okay.
I've seen him in other things.
Yeah, he's in a.
He was also in the Social Network.
Yeah, I think.
I haven't seen the Social Network.
I think he was... Really?
Wow.
I hope we do that retro one day.
The Ides of March.
Yeah, I was going to say, I feel like he was a child actor, too. I feel like I saw him in a bunch of kids' stuff back.
In the day. He reminds me of Alex Wolfe or Nat Wolfe or whatever the fuck those brothers were called.
He looks like he should be a wolf. He should be, what's his first name, this guy? Max. He should be Max Wolfe. We're going to call him Max Wolfe from now on. That's a cool name, actually. Yeah, that is. That's a detective name. But yeah, Taylor, he's in Jigsaw, pretty much, or he's in Spiral.
Spiral.
Playing a very.
Similar character, I swear, like, It's the rock thing where it looks like he can just walk from one set to another.
Like, he has, like, the tucked in pants and everything. But, yeah. So, okay.
So, you were buying that. Kirkland, how are you on the relationship here? And I guess you can speak about Matt Wolfe. Do you have anything to add on him?
Matt Wolfe. I thought he was fine. I think I was expecting him to be, like, more, like, you fucking my wife, like, early on and, like, getting in his face. So, I kind of appreciated that that wasn't, like, the archetype of the character. Like, he just was, like, like what like a clean cop i thought there'd be more conflict with him like kind of battling like the corruption but.
Yeah they didn't want to do that they're just like they didn't want to do that they look like they teased it yeah yeah and they look like they tease like not give him the file and they're just uh he's a shady guy and say okay.
Yeah i guess so so they like had like a little free sample of that but they didn't actually dive into the the actual that type of story I don't know if I would have wanted that, honestly. I still feel like we wasted some time in, like, the earlier portions ramping up. Like, I wanted more of, like, a longer transition from him becoming, like, kind of schizo and, like, really fucked in the head. It just seems so rushed.
And then, yeah, when he's just in love with Caitlyn, like, that was just, like, a snap, in my opinion.
When he said, I love you, I was like, whoa. Okay, now.
And that's where I'm like, oh, he's actually just, like, fucked in the head at this point. But I'm like, I don't think that's actually the angle that they're going for. I think they're actually trying to make it seem like he is genuinely in love with this person. And then there's just, like, the weird psyche stuff that's going on to the side. Like, when he's staring at himself in the mirror and he's having, like, a Gollum-Smeagol conversation with, like, the fucking radio host guy. That was so weird and so random.
Yeah.
Again, that's where I feel like with the execution, that could be better. That could play better.
That's what I mean. I feel like there's a certain special ingredient that was missing in this overall project that would have made it like a 9.5 plus. Like I think there actually could have happened in this movie.
Cause that scene in the mirror comes out of nowhere. He just like turns into a talk show host. And then he's like talking, like you said, like go home, like it's another person. And when he slips out of it, it's like, no, it feels like he's still cognizant of like he's Matt Hagan and everything.
Right.
So it just, that, that, that's where my biggest issue with like the comic book and horror. So it feels like they just couldn't, they didn't pick around. That's where it's like, I think there's a movie where, and obviously this is me rewriting the movie, but I kind of wish the movie happened where the first act, like the first time he like kills people and becomes Clayface, like I wish he actually just wiped out like the nightclub scene, which I actually think is a fun scene.
That fight scene of him flipping back and forth. Other than that, we're awesome.
It was other than the moment where he switches back to the girl, but before he does, he's just in the dress still.
And I was like, Why? Why did that happen?
Why?
There's some random goofy stuff in this movie.
We're not watching Jim Carrey's The Mask right now. It was so fucking odd. I was like, in this moment, why is he doing that? I think they wanted it to be a laugh, and I just looked at it and was like, okay. But the actual scene itself, it's great. He's going in between bansters, switching between people. He's doing different cool moves.
His face is getting punched.
The dance number at the start, too. That's where I was like, man, what are.
We doing here?
I didn't understand that, though. Why did that happen?
Psychological warfare he's fucking with.
Them no but i mean no that's fine that's fine he's he's because i was looking at this i'm like oh i do think this guy's a star i want to see him in a bunch of stuff that's great why did everyone else.
Continue to do this the people that were like with him yeah why i don't know and i'm like why would the mob guys be like okay cut off the music like like like stop the party like everything's just.
Going on yeah.
Like i'll say they don't know he's gonna just insert the bolts right but before this it's like It felt very odd. It just reminded me of Joker when he's dancing on the stairs and then they cut it to the cops and they watch him and they're like, what the.
Fuck is he doing?
But that was me in this movie watching Clayface do this and then everyone else was dancing. Because then at first I was like, oh, is he like, are a bunch of these people not here and he's controlling them with like i thought oh there's something going on here and no they just dance and even then i i wish they would have made some big deal like a bunch of people like we're like oh it's fucking matt hagan oh i love matt hagan and then i could believe them like oh we're gonna dance with a star but like they just looked at like some random dude who was just like fist pumping away i was.
Like yeah that was funny i don't know again.
It's just maybe there's a version of that where it works but it isn't here so anyways what I was saying though is the whole club scene other than a few moments of like what we just said goofy it works overall it's like a fun action set piece I wish the movie was that happens the first time he becomes like Clayface stuff And you think, okay, I'm good.
I killed all these people that fucked me over, and I'm going to try and live my life. And that's where you start to have the movie more and more him getting on.
That evil side. Because, man, to me, it just felt like a spin the faces. I remember what happened.
Was a couple weeks ago, people were seeing this movie, and they were saying, oh, it's kind of like an anti-hero thing. And then the official Twitter of Clayface was like, oh, we don't deal with anti-heroes here. So I was like, okay, that's just someone's take. Literally, everything he does. Now, granted, of course, you don't want to kill people, right?
That's not right.
But what he does before or until after the club scene, he is Jon Bartholomew's the Punisher. These are people, all bad people. Like, his friends sold him out.
We didn't talk about that. But his friend, like, secretly gave him a bunch of information about his life and screwed him over. You got that.
You got Titty Poppin' Girl who screwed him over. You got the mob who cut up his face and everything.
You got his agent. So, like, again, his agent's screwing him over for money. Maybe he's not going to be murdered.
But, like, again, Frank Castle kills these people all the time. You guys think he kills fucking sneaker stealers.
So like Pokemon traders. So he's doing this right. And I'm looking at the run time.
I'm like, I thought people were saying that he's not like they're trying to promote like he's on antihero. So I'm like, OK, what's going to happen here? And then he just kills the fucking like fiancee.
Just out of nowhere.
One, I hate the scene when she walks in the next room and she screams in horror. Because I like the scene where, before it's the cop. Hey, I just want to talk to you, Hagen.
Where are you up to?
He's feeling well, right? And he's sussing him out. And then the next scene is the cop talking with his fiance. And then she goes in the room and she sees the fiance dead. They reveal, okay, that's Matt Hagen pretending to be the fiance.
But she opens the door and she screams. He's on the floor and he goes, oh, I didn't really want you to see that. He was laying in the fucking middle. There's no way you could miss him. It's like my four-year-old at Fire Roads wants to hide.
And I can clearly just see their whole body under the table.
It's like, all right, I'm going to pretend, but he's like, oh, I didn't want you to see that. What else do you think she was going to see?
So for me, that's my probably biggest problem in this movie that took off several points is the whole movie he is an anti-hero until literally the last seven to ten minutes where they're like, oh, well, let's make him randomly kill the cops. And he's going to try and pressure her into this relationship. And even then, at the end, he's like, kill.
Someone dropped the fucking audio clip. When she's like, should I do it? He's like, kill me, do it, do it. Kill me!
Yeah.
So it's not even like at the end when he's becoming Clayface. He's like, fuck you. Like, I am Clayface. He's like, just do it. Put me out of my misery.
It's like, just literally 30 seconds ago, you're talking about we're in love. We could be like, let's get out of here. Let's be together.
So I.
Again, my biggest hang-up with this is I don't want Clayface to be an anti-hero. And now James Gunn could sit me down and James Watkins be like, yeah, we didn't.
He killed an innocent cop. He's not a hero. It's like, yeah, okay, sure.
You did the thing, but it's not complete. It's like somebody that made you a pizza, but everything's burnt. And I'm like, well, it's a fucking pizza, but I can't eat this because it's fucking rock hard. So that was my biggest, probably my biggest issue with this movie that I just felt like they saw the movie like, fuck.
And I don't think they did, but I just felt like, oh, man. we said he's going to be a villain. Well, let's just have him kill that cop, right? Like he's a good guy and let's have him be creepy at the end. And again, that's where I wish the whole movie was building to that where it's like, Oh, he's definitely going to switch where it's not. It's just like a, that feels like a side quest or like a DLC or like the opening of part two.
So really bug the shit out of me.
Yeah, no, I completely agree with that. Uh, I kind of skittered away from what you asked me about the, the Caitlin, um, max wolf dynamic all that stuff i yeah i feel like i did like the two of them like initially because they don't have that like weird love dynamic uh at all like it's not hinted at at anywhere and that's why like when it happens it's just so out of left field and like from her side like there is a couple scenes where she's like yeah like holding his face looking into his eyes and i'm like oh my god like we're really doing this right like it's not just from um Matt Hagen to be fair but like by the point that he's just like obsessed with her at the end it's just it's just such a reach and I really didn't vibe with
it and but you know for her in particular like I did like kind of the origin set up like her motivation her wanting to like do this to help him out like did seem genuine like she just seemed like a genuine nice person and she's ready.
To cheat on her husband though you know she's getting close her fiance yeah Yeah.
Okay. She does, right? She kisses Matt Hagen.
She didn't, she didn't go in for it. He did.
She responded though.
Yeah, she responded.
I still wouldn't take that as like a cheat though. I'm not putting kiss in the cheat. That's just a one kiss.
It's less than, less than one minute. Then it's, it's fair.
One minute.
If it were past 30 seconds, then yeah, maybe there's more of a conversation, but I think the kids they had, it's like, okay, you know, mistakes happen.
Let's talk it out, figure it out.
But you know, I don't know what trajectory they were going because, uh, We don't know because we didn't get a scene after that because her husband or her fiance got killed with a very weird scene with him and Matt Hagan when he's just, he's trying to like, I don't know, like.
Suss him out.
Yeah, bad cop him. But then he's like, oh, thanks, man. He like hits him on the phone. It's like, what the fuck? Like, why?
This guy might be fucking your wife and you're like patting him on the back. And it didn't even feel like a sarcastic like, all right, man.
And like hit you. It's like literally like a, yeah, take care. It's like, no, man. Like he's trying to DP your wife. Like, don't do that. But, you know.
I thought it was going to be like he was going to ask something that he knew about, like totally just mind game him. Didn't even do that.
He knew nothing.
He just totally beta mailed him.
Where were you last night? I was here.
I was fucking your wife is where I was.
He even sent doctor's orders. Like he's, he's literally just to learn it. Like, yeah, you know, that couch, I just fucking ate her out with my clay face.
Like he's trying, he's like, even too, when she, when they talk about.
The crime stuff and he's like, Oh, what about, uh, you and Caitlin? And he's like, well, I'll meet me and Caitlin. There's just more going on there. Like some scenes off. And he, cause he's like, Oh, well, you know, whatever happens to Caitlin, like I'm always going to be there. Like I love her. And then he just looks them down the face like, well, sometimes people want more.
He's like, yeah, we've been engaged a long time. And Max Wolf is the guy that fucking implements that. He's the one that starts that conversation. Matt didn't even ask him about that. It's like, well, sometimes people want more.
And then he had nothing. He got cucked in this movie. He got bitched at.
Okay, man, see you later.
Fuck, he is a cool guy. Thanks for talking to me.
Can I get your autograph?
And then he gets killed in his own home.
You know?
What a terrible, and that definitely, and not that I need that in this movie, but that's where people go like, oh, how could Clayface be the villain of the Batman movie?
If you take out the subplot of him.
Being her husband, you just change a bunch of that detective stuff to make it good and make that Batman, you could do that. And that's where that, especially with the third act, that's where it's so odd where too, it's like, okay, he's an antihero. He kills the cop. Let's be together. Caitlin somehow hits him out of a window.
Oh, right.
She tasers him out of a window.
And we just jumped to like the climactic battle so quick. But they did the classic like every other fucking comic book thing where it's like, oh, we're going to wait to show you their final form, their final.
Costume in the last two minutes here.
And I thought we'd get a little bit more. But no, it starts to rain. Of course, he starts to turn the mud monster. She has her phone up or tablet like and he's doing the kill me.
And she does that. And that's all that happens. He just like falls down a well. And it's just like that. Same thing for the ending of the movie. That's where it's like we talked about like feet of.
Clay when it's building up and you have Batman in that room with the tapes and all that's going there. It's like that is sometimes the problem with these movies, with the villain movies. It's like you either need them to fight another villain like they did with them and Morbius and all that stuff or you need someone to take them down and I'm fine if you do away like Invisible Man sort of way where Naomi Ackie has to do that but it just rushes to nothing.
There's no struggle. She just tasers him, has a tablet. That's it. There's no like That's so goofy too.
And she has the fucking tablet and she like walks out and.
Stares at him.
Why are you walking out? It's like, are you sure you want to activate?
Yeah.
Activate.
Finally.
Do you really want to?
It has to load like a hundred percent. And then after it does that, it's like abort. abort or execute it's like are you fucking kidding me right now.
It's like nowadays when you try to cancel a subscription but to trick you they like highlight no I won't cancel so a.
Couple times you have to go to the app that you subscribed on to cancel actually.
You have to phone us in between one to two on a Tuesday and you have to have your remote with you you're gonna you won't be able to cancel unless you have all these things so yeah I'd Again, my biggest problem was the third actor's, the.
Ending of this movie, that stuff.
But how do you feel about all this stuff, about cop getting killed, the tablets, you know, crazy Matt Hagen saying that he wants to be with her, you know, the whole ending sequence here?
I mean, yeah, the cop dying, I don't know what you expect in that sequence, where she's like, yeah, let me just show you my laptop. But I knew the moment she walked in there, you know, you can read it, like, that's not him.
That's going to be... matt hagan like without a doubt.
Um and i mean it just makes sense story-wise like he's gonna go there and try and see if he can like hustle the truth out of her see if she's gonna like confess or what she's gonna do after being approached by the cop right so um yeah it's just it's it sucks Cause he was genuinely like one of the only non corrupt cops in, in Gotham.
It's like, it gets killed.
After being bitched out too.
It's like, yeah.
Yeah.
So that's, that's shitty.
But, uh, when they had that moment there and she strikes him down with the, the, um, taser.
And then, yeah, nukes his, his robots. Which would the taser work?
Is it because the nanites are in there?
It's the nanites in him. Yeah.
Yeah.
So just kind of like, there's like a charge that activates them, I think.
Okay.
So that's the tasers too.
Yeah. So I, I really did think that, okay, like this is all fitting.
It makes sense.
She's distraught because this guy killed your fucking fiance. But then, I mean, at the end when she was in the sewer with him and I was starting to, I started to fucking smack my hands cause I was getting pissed off.
I'm like, James Gunn, you son of a bitch. Hidalgo also. Both of you were like, are you fucking kidding me?
He was getting uneasy in his chair.
I knew he was falling for it.
What, that he was going to die-die?
No, that Clayface was in the sewer.
Taylor and Hidalgo thought that Caitlin was actually in the sewer.
She had the newspaper in her hand.
I knew you wouldn't stay away that easy.
I just thought, this is James Gunn living out this fucking fantasy shit again or something.
In the sewer.
I was trying to catch up with it because when I saw that her feet were clay, I thought, did she fucking turn herself into a clay monster too?
But no, then I realized, oh, it's him.
That's what she took away from this whole thing. I gotta be clay too.
That guy's got super masturbation powers because he can just fucking form a whole other person and then just do the deed right then and there.
I also wonder if he can't really feel it that much. I don't think the movie was clear.
The masturbation?
Well, yeah, I just don't think the movie was clear.
Well, if you do it too often, yeah.
He was feeling it. He was feeling it.
I mean, this is kind of in lieu of the scene we were talking about earlier, Kirkland, but when he's sleeping, hence your nickname, watch while you sleep, and he turns into Caitlyn. And then she's just watching herself and she starts rubbing herself.
His hand was going down south for a second.
It was down south.
I was like, is she just going to watch this guy fucking masturbate to her? That is just the weirdest fucking scene. That's a very James Gunn riddled scene.
Can you imagine that? DC Studios, Clayface.
First Batman project in DC and it's just Clayface fucking like as.
A girl just masturbating. I literally thought it was happening. Taylor next to me was getting like, are you fucking kidding me? They're actually doing like, he couldn't believe that it was happening and I was right there with you. And then he turns over and he's just fucking like rubbing himself too. And it seemed like his hands were like his actual hands. So it looked like they were just fucking right then and there with himself. That was a very strange scene. And then he turns over to just the old.
I mean I kind of.
Jumped through that's the jump it happened so quick because I just was zoned in like okay Clayface is just rubbing one out and it turned over and of all the fucking people it.
Was the fucking.
It was the fucking money bags guy the guy who does the he.
Was like naked too and he had this smile yeah.
It scared the fucking shit out of me, man. Holy crap. I was vocal.
Yeah.
You were like, oh, fuck.
It broke me, though.
I couldn't stop laughing after that.
And the camera, too. Like, it made him look more pointed. He looked like one of those fucking spy kid creatures that had the pointed face.
So he was just like. Oh, that was so fucking funny.
I was laughing so hard after that.
Yeah, like, I actually liked the scene. I actually liked, like. Again, because the gun stuff, we just laugh. In the scene by itself, I like that being fucking, that is fucking weird that he turns into her, but I like fucking weird stuff, so I like that. I did like the shot of his arms around her, but yeah, just because of how we meet, I was just laughing. Like I said, when he, he went to flip over the blanket, but yeah, he like reached down as her, and I was like, yeah, what the fuck is about to happen here? Like, you tell me Clayface from Creature Commandos was masturbating as a sign to himself at one point?
Like, And I was.
Watching him like it's like with a camera, too. There was just so many weird factors. Oh, I know.
Just imagine she brings this to a bunch of scientists and they're watching the footage.
She's just fast forward through this stuff. Just it's just just any. They're trying to.
Why did he turn to the banker at the end? That's what they asked to.
Who's that guy? What guy?
This guy.
Right when he's about to come, he turns into this fucking old man.
It was right when she starts stroking, like, right above his ass, right? Yeah.
They just pulled the Matt Hagen file, and it's just this. This goes on for three hours. Why didn't she stop him?
I don't know.
She just wanted for some....
That's what he would have sounded like, too.
We got to get that money face guy as a meme. That face, that fucking... There's just something about it.
Fucking nightmare.
This is the way it was angled on the side. Christ, okay. Let's take our second half break and we'll be right back. Okay, we're back.
I'll tell you, you didn't talk about how... I'll start over at the end there with Naomi Aki. How did you feel, and I guess Kirk, you can answer this too. How did you feel about his actual final form there, his clay face, that we only got to saw for a total of 15 seconds?
I like the half that was more monsterific. The other half that was still like his baby face look, I was like, that... No, just commit to the whole thing. Commit to the whole thing. Because the one side, he had the big, deformed, smirked grin and the monster eye. But yeah, the other side was like human looking side is like, I don't need to see that. Like, give me the full monster clay face form here.
I really want to see that. Also talking about monster.
When Caitlyn goes into his apartment and he's just fucking, uh, fucking monster face. Just, yeah.
He doesn't say anything.
He just creeps around the corner and he turns and glides away.
Not like, Hey, I might fucking be like, just stay like, yeah, that's it. Stay back. I'm a fucking monster. No, he's just looking like to jump scare or whatever. Hey, have a bad day, you know? Oh my God. That was great. Um, what do you feel was fun for him there, uh, Kirkman?
I liked it. It seemed comic accurate from what I remember. I don't know.
Big beastly form.
His mouth.
He had the yellow eyes, though. He had the regular eyes, which is kind of a bit of a throw off, right? In my opinion.
Yeah. I like the mouth.
I don't know.
It was a good shot.
Yeah.
I'm like, I need to see it more in action. I felt like when they were doing the effects, they were hiding a lot.
Yeah, no, I agree. It could look worse.
The thing I really didn't like at the end was the growl where he, it was half his voice and half of it, but he, you do that.
You do that. Yeah. Like it was that at the same time. Cause it was his voice. And then it was the other, it was like, I get it. The duality going on, but it just was like, it just like tears. It just, just commit. Like we don't need this fully, but I think it's just because, Hey, if.
We want to use them, we're going to use this guy's face and his likeness and stuff. And again, it didn't feel like he, He was that homeless guy, and then he was him. When he was looking in that mirror, I was like, please don't fucking talk to yourself again. I was fucking really worried that we were going to get another scene. But I guess actually he fucking was.
He was talking to himself because he turned into Naomi Aki. But then Naomi Aki's there. So clearly he can still control it enough. That's when we told Batman animated series, Clayface gets to a point where that monster form is like, that's his form now. He's kind of fucked, right? But he was walking around, no problems. What's he doing down there?
What was he doing down there?
Do you have any answers?
I mean, he's just fucking rubbing one out, you know?
He's got Caitlyn down there.
I mean, what else do you need?
Do you think he's ever doing, like, threesome situations where he turns himself into Caitlyn, the cop, and himself, you know?
He did that earlier. It'll be Caitlyn, the moneybags guy, and himself. That's his go-to. He's already did that the one time, so he's doing that again.
Christ. But, uh, yeah, so I, I liked the look.
I think like what Kirk said, it could have been worse, but it could have been, uh, obviously better. So, you know, we'll see if we, we see him again. I guess that's one thing like, I'll say that actually more for the end. Um, where do we, uh, where do we want to go next here?
Um, thought I had some.
I'll shout out just every time he changed or like he murdered someone and took over their persona. He did a fucking awesome job. Oh, my God.
Jesus Christ.
Like, why is he so smiley?
This guy was sleeping. Why was he doing this? Matt Hagen was sleeping. Why is his eyes are only smiling? because he's getting tickled.
You're getting tickled above his asshole.
Why are you tickling me?
I guess I've actually never had anyone tickle me above the assholes.
Well, this is the face you'll make next time Emily does it.
Emily? Emily, what are you doing? What are you doing, Uncle Ray Ray? But hey, it hasn't been since Captain.
Marvel since we had to go on the Ethernet and find some low-screen gaffer.
As to what's going on. That is a good image, though.
Oh, that's staying in there. Poor Dylan, he's going to see it one time and be like, what the fuck is... He's like, who is this guy? there's just something on his face like if you were to tell me this.
Guy's playing live action waluigi i'd be like yeah i could i could buy it he has the type those features yeah it's a camera that's doing it but.
I digress but um anyways continue on continue on.
Taylor um yeah every time he had to switch characters like i loved it when he just like he completely like takes over um he did a great job with uh with money bags in the office but then he excelled. And this is just where it bleeds into that whole sequence where I just love that club scene with just doing the group dancing and him just changing and walking around.
And just when he was playing as Sal, I was just, I was loving that so much. Like tell him about the first time, first time we met. And he says, he sits there blank. He's like the worst day of my fucking life.
I'm like, okay, good answer. And then, yeah. And then he starts eating the peanuts. Like, Hey Sal, you're fucking peanut out.
He's like, yeah.
The improv is so good. I was eating that up. And Patches. Patches, when he's in there.
The goofiness was Zobo, whatever his name was, because he's like, there are two.
Of you, Patches.
Well, there's two patches. He's just fucking out of his mind.
Shoot him, boss. Shoot him, boss.
Yeah.
What at first I thought was going to happen, because I just heard it and I saw the guy, I'm like, clearly that's not going to be Bruce Wayne.
We're going to get there. I think it happens in the.
Comics as well, but in the animated show, Bruce Wayne, when he goes underground, underworld, like in Con Edo, his name, he wears a bunch of stuff, his patch is Malone.
That's who he becomes.
So when they said Patches, I was like, fuck, are they going to say like, oh, I guess you could say, at first I thought they were going to like, he'd have this elaborate, like look like, oh, like a prestige situation where you like see the guy, but you don't really see him.
So it's like, oh, in the future he said it's Bruce, but no, then he got fucking killed and everything. So it wasn't him.
But yeah, so I was disappointed by the Patches thing. Did you guys catch Aaron Paul's cameo in this?
Yeah, I thought that was Aaron Paul. It was like his dad, right?
I thought he turned into like another actor.
Which guy was this?
No, because he says... In the club. I thought he was talking about... Because when they, like, confront him, and they're talking about, like, where he's from or whatnot, and then they say, like, oh, yeah, you're so-and-so's son. I thought that's who that was supposed to be, because I swear he used the same name when Aaron Paul just appeared there, but maybe I'm totally mistaken.
I took it as, like, he was just, like, another actor or something, and then I also take it as I wonder if Aaron Paul was supposed to have more scenes in there, or this was just, like, a fun... weird cameo and be like, what the fuck is Aaron Paul here?
And I'm like, was that Aaron Paul?
Because you guys didn't hear about that before, right?
No.
Okay, this has been out there for a few months because when they test screened it, it came out like, oh, he's in Clayface.
And everyone's like, oh, who's he playing? And he's just there.
It's like the fucking Brad Pitt, like Invisible Man thing.
It is.
Yeah, it very much is. Yeah, it's that type of cameo, right? What else? Anything else we haven't hit on? Big points we haven't touched on?
I hated the fucking cheese grater on the arms. It seemed to be happening too much. And then when he like slices his palm.
The hand.
Yeah, that was bad.
Fuck.
I couldn't watch that at all. The popcorn was down. I was looking down.
The popcorn was down.
Yeah.
Yeah. I don't think anything bugged me.
I think the one shot of him in the airplane when he like put the.
When he's digging, man. Yeah, when he's digging. It didn't like get me. I was like, oh, but I was like, okay, that is a.
It's a turbulence. I thought he was going to fucking, like, go right into his fucking eye.
Which wouldn't matter, though, right? Because he's, like, just healing.
Wouldn't matter, but still watching it's going to suck.
No, I know that. I don't think at that point he was.
Healing, like, really fast. I think it would have done damage, probably.
Yeah, they're a little loosey-goose.
It was just like he'd be fine for, and then he'd get sick, be fine, get sick.
Also, like, three quarters of the way of the movie, he just, like, it seems like he just maxed levels. Like, he just finished, like, distributing all of his points in his skill tree because he was, like, so good at just, like, cleanly switching between.
He's a Captain America in there in the club.
Yeah, like, initially, it's just when he's, like, emotionally compromised. That's when it would change. That's when he couldn't really control it. And then he's switching in and out. He's switching back to himself but keeping the clothes of the other chick, like you pointed out. Like, it was just so rapid. And that's another thing that I, you know, it just felt like a really really quick, quick jump.
When he was on the plane and, you know, he sees the news report and then he looks at the guy on his right really quick, his eyes fucking sagging, and then he looks at that lady across the aisle and his whole.
Fucking face is just... Yeah. She was not... She was freaking out.
They should have the Joe Biden shirt guy in there for a cameo scene.
Oh, God.
He can't see shit. Yeah, he can't see shit. He's head nodding and the guy's like, yeah, yeah, yeah. Time for a change. That's right.
That's my president, yeah.
Oh, fuck.
Vote for Lex Luthor or whatever.
I'll have to ask AI to add that guy to that scene now.
Yeah.
You know, I don't know if there's anything... I got one question before the score.
Yeah, there's... Another scene I'll shout out is when he. Oh what's this guy doing now but I I did like when he initially gets his like face back it's like holy fuck this moment's amazing we're gonna go to the red carpet it's like no you can't go to the red carpet right now like this is a terrible idea you're not ready man and then the next scene it's like live for the red.
Carpet it's like okay of course he's fucking going he was looking good he owned it I like the musical number yeah you come in there with just the fucking aura everybody's just mad egg and oh my god like his old age sees him and then instantly she's like trying to take him back I love that scene.
And then his eye just starts drooping. And then she's like, are you all right?
And it goes to him.
And it looks like his fucking eye is going to pop out of his head. If I see that, if I'm talking to Travis, it looks way worse than Viserys. Yeah. And your eyes like droop in. That's also, like, I feel like a very easy, like, indicator for someone's having a stroke when the whole left side of their face is grouping down. I feel like you're calling the 911s in that moment. But I just laughed because it's like, are you okay? And then it shoots to him and his face just looks like it's totally hanging off.
Yeah.
I'll pop this up.
The fact that this is the same Clayface just blows my mind. It's actually been two years since I've seen this scene when I think about it. It's hard to believe it's the same one.
It is. They confirmed it. He didn't have the yellow eyes.
His sound effects are just really funny too. Yeah. And he's got a fucking beer gut, too. Look at that.
You made him sound cool. That's what you were making him sound like.
Yeah.
Not a fan of that choice, but you know what it is? That's the DCU. That's what they're doing. So who knows how he gets here. And that's what I was going to ask.
That plug.
Get this out of here. Yeah, yeah.
That's what I was going to ask.
Like, the way this movie ends, obviously, it's just like, I guess, a villain origin, right?
Like, could you see. Could you see him being.
I can't focus if this guy's staring.
It's so funny. It's like, are you all right?
What's going on?
All right, man?
Why are you tickling me?
Why are you tickling me?
That's what he looks like when I play Nightcrawlers. That's the face I'm giving you.
Just the lights go out and you just look over.
There's something wrong with your mic. It's not working. We heard you say the lights go out and then it stopped working.
Maybe you unplugged it. Oh, he's totally unplugged.
Plugs the headphones into his microphone.
Matt Hagen stole them.
Headphones into my microphone? What the fuck?
Did you plug the headphones into the microphone?
It looked like you did.
It was just a cord. Okay. Guys, I can't hear you.
His mic's not even attached to the computer. It's just attached to his headphones so he can hear himself talk.
Guys, I can't hear you. I can't hear you. It's not working.
What I was going to ask is, honestly, we'll talk about this for the next few weeks when we get box office and success, all that type of stuff, right?
So we don't know what's going to happen.
Where do you guys, after seeing this movie, want Clayface to go? Is it back in Creature Commandos where it's like some ensemble and it's like another Sinister Six or Secret Six?
Is it a Clayface 2 or continuation? Or is it like... If they were to say, hey, we're doing Brain in the Bowl and Clayface is the villain, does that excite you, not excite you? Where are you with this character?
It's interesting because he is just fully... like, the monster now. Like, I think the intriguing stuff about the character is, like, the character side of it, but we've just, like, breezed through that now in this film, and what is it? It's, like, an hour 40. So I feel like that's my peak interest levels for the character itself, whereas now I just picture it being, like, the blob or, you know, something like just this muck man now where he just has, like, the big bad movesets versus, like, uh i don't know the psychological angle unless i guess you could play into that like if he's just switching and like actually just talking to himself all the time uh makes him a little bit more of a layered villain but i i
don't know like it's hard for me to just not picture him being just Oh, he's just going to club smash you now with his big arms, you know, with how it ends. I don't know. I don't know where I see him. I mean, clearly he ends up on Creature Commando, so it's not like he just gets bopped in the next thing that we see him in. He lives on to at least be playing Xbox.
At some point.
Yeah.
Yeah, I don't know.
It's tough. Yeah.
I don't see him being, like, any more than a B villain, honestly.
No, me either.
Yeah.
Yeah, and, like, even what's he doing? Like, just trying to get Naomi Aki, he's kidnapping her, blah, blah, Batman, she loves me. I have to do this. I don't know. I guess maybe when a cop gets killed, that's when Batman starts to pay attention. Taylor, what about you? Where's Clayface going in the future?
I don't think he needs another standalone movie. I think, you know, one and done is fine. I think at this point, because he is the big bad monster, put him in like Hulk. You know, Hulk had that incredible Hulk movie, and after that, he was just appearing in other collaborations, right? Like with other main characters and whatnot.
I think that's what you do with Clayface at this.
Point when.
He could just come in and, and serve a part in a movie, like in the third act or like in the middle of the movie. I, I don't, I don't know, but something like that just kind of further the story along where, Hey, this character just, it, it fits, you know, Clayface could actually, he could work here. He's, he's cameo or camoing as another person or something. I don't know, but there's just, there's not much from what I know of this character that could really fill another hour and a half, two hour long theatrical flick.
So yeah. Yeah.
And even then like watching this movie to me and also I'm coming from a standpoint that I didn't enjoy as much as you guys. There's part of me that just wishes they had like a villain, not Gorilla Grodd where it's like, Oh, they think every season we're going to focus on new character in a courtroom thing.
No, not that. And not Poison Ivy, which is going to be a whole show about Poison Ivy.
I wish they had a black mirror or anthology show on HBO where it's like, hey, we're doing six to eight episodes. Each episode is about a different villain. You get to get their origin, and it's like a full hour, and that's it. Because that's what this felt like to me where it's about hour 50. So I'm sure you cut 50 minutes out. You'd have to obviously change a lot of stuff, right? But without there being Batman or this bigger picture and the bigger goal for the DC, it's like, okay. when it's for me not a great movie okay what's what's the point right and obviously their point was to make a great movie and just to get some content out there so i know what their point was um i think they failed for the great
movie for me as far as the profit we'll see the next couple weeks but that's one thing that this movie goes like i wish that's what they did on hbo's yeah we're gonna this week it's about clay face this week it's about somebody else from superman's rogue ad this is about flash and that's what it's just hey here's a mini origin and you could set them up to go fight their hero where this didn't feel like the the setup.
I just feel like it's a tragic.
Monster movie, and I guess you could, but I just view him as like a B-villain thing, right?
And that's what I've said all the time.
That's why I hate projects with villains, because I just don't now see, like, oh, now Clayface is going to be the main villain of a Batman movie. It's like, no, I still, again, would have rather just done Brain in the Bowl than use these Clayface elements and made him the villain of this. And instead of when Naomi Ackie's getting attacked and she has to use the tablet, Batman crashes through the fucking window and he's here to kick ass, you know? Like, obviously I'm saying have him throughout the whole movie, not just at the very end, like, save her, but Yeah, I just, I don't know. And again, I talked about something I told you. This doesn't get me excited for the Poison Ivy show. I'm not, or the
Bane and Deathstroke movie. I'm not digging these, still not digging these, even though this is a better executed version of it, just these hero or these villain-led projects.
So I guess he'll be Batman. I would love it. I hope maybe he's just like a big final fight thing.
But again, how I'd want him in Batman as well also is like the Clayface form, right?
As much as I liked Thomas Reese Harry's, I don't want him fighting Batman.
Like if we get a Batman fighting Clayface and it's like what they were doing in the club where he just like kept turning back to himself.
He's like smiling, doing all this stuff.
It's like, Oh, that's not really what I want from a Batman Clayface, you know, situation here, but that's what.
We might get.
So, uh, anything else, anything else to, uh, hit on before we get a score here?
Once going twice. Alright, I'll go first because I'll probably be the lowest. I'll give this.
I'm stuck between a 6 and a 6.5, so I'll just do the classic, a 6.25. People go, why do you get those beat scores?
That's why.
Because I'd say I'd have to watch it again. I don't think I have any plans to. So yeah, I enjoyed it enough. I know I sound pretty down on this.
It was.
Again, it was good, but it wasn't anything earth-shattering. It's a movie that, like, in six months from now, you're going to remind me that Clayface came out. I'm like, oh, right, yeah, that happened. And even Superman, again, that I was disappointed in, I didn't love as much as I wanted to, had some very big high highs, where this was just like, okay, this is, again, I've seen much, much.
Worse comic movies. This was just kind of there.
So, yeah, I'll go with 6.25, so a nice C. And that's what I kind of look at it as, like a C. So, yeah, that's me on Clayface.
Kirk and Patzer. What did you give him, Clayface?
Yeah.
Where to lay with this one? I think overall I did have a fun time with this movie. I mean, there's some memes that came out of it. Just look at our background there. That's amazing. That's going to be living on me.
I sent it in our Facebook chat, too, so we can have that saved at any point.
That's going right on my phone. I can't wait to be dropping that on people.
Yeah.
Probably not a lot of people are going to be watching this movie, so they have no idea who the fuck.
This guy is. What is the context of this face?
I'll find one.
We're going to find one.
I'll never know until it happens. This is the best reaction.
Oh, man. He's sleeping.
This man's asleep.
Why are you waking me up? He got tickled above his asshole. Is that why he's smiling?
Oh, that's why he's smiling.
Oh, probably, yeah.
He's into that? He's like, oh, hell yeah. Which, that's all great, but it's just like... Getting up in the middle of the night, like, oh, are we doing this?
And just think, too, like, for me, because I was already laughing at this, the double layers, this is what jumpscared Taylor.
This face.
It happens quick, and you're not expecting it.
You're not.
How are you ever anticipating this fucking face rolling over after getting the Q-tip tickle?
I'll say I wasn't expecting that face, but I knew he was turning around when she was doing the Q-tip thing, because it's a classic thing.
You knew I didn't fucking know. That's a classic thing. She was rubbing, Clayface was rubbing himself.
No, no, that's a classic, oh, I'm going to grab the door handle, I'm going to grab this, then boom, something gets you. The second she's just like, we had all the tension, and then she's like, oh, I'm just going to take the sample.
There wasn't even tension, though. It was just like I was. I was just invested. There was no tension.
She was just watching Clayface and Clayface was, yeah, it was on the verge of, you know, just like fucking himself as, as her. And it was just like, I was, I was just like watching this, like what the fuck? And then, yeah, just, it happened so quick.
I wonder if she would be into that, you know?
Turning herself, and then, hey, can we do this?
I mean, she wasn't stopping it.
No, she didn't, but I'll say I personally knew that.
She got in there with the Q-tip. She's like, yeah, I'll get in some foreplay here.
Tickle, tickle. What if I do this?
But I knew that was coming. Kroon, did you know that was coming? He's going to turn around, and I thought his face.
Would be fucked up.
I thought he was going to turn around, but.
I didn't think that fucking face. I thought it was going to be like his face would be back to drooping or something like that. Or she would see her face.
This is so much scarier than any type of face he could have put.
The fucking banker guy.
God damn.
You looking for your money?
What direction did they give him to get this reaction?
It's like they just tickled them in real life and they just just did the natural reaction it's.
Like they shot the scene and this is like in between they're laughing like setting up and like fuck we didn't hit record on the actual scene like what shots do we got of john well we got him doing we don't do this like all right use it but i thought was gonna happen it'd be him looking fucked up or was gonna be he turned around with her face and her face would be all fucked up and that would make her feel a little like oh fuck i'm seeing myself what could happen but no randomly which again it's because he's thinking about him right i know we're memeing it is because like he's thinking about this guy he wants to go kill him which he does or he wants to just get his money back so i get why in that get the context but it
just didn't fit the uh the rest of the scene but um yeah what are you getting the score.
Kirkland yeah uh man i think i'm gonna go fairly high i think i'll go seven and three quarters on this one um I feel pretty good with it. I feel like... Really big shout-out to... Fuck, I just said his name, too. What's his name?
Tom.
Thomas Rhys Harries.
It's Rhys.
Is it Rhys or Rhys?
It's Rhys.
Tom Rhys Harries. Yeah, I think he's fantastic. I definitely hope I start seeing him in some more things. I thought he was fantastic. I guess he's just Clayface now, so... Probably not in the DCU. I'll be seeing him anywhere, but.
Elsewhere.
Hopefully he pops up. Um... The body horror stuff was definitely gross. I don't think I will re-watch this movie. If I do, it'll be a very long time. I'll probably just fast-forward those scenes, honestly, because it's pretty rough, and I know where they are now. But maybe I'll just fast-forward to this scene. This guy that's staring at us right now, because this is amazing.
He should be the DC watcher. He should be photoshopped in the back. He's making that face.
While things are going on.
But he's just in bed.
Yeah.
He's always in bed, looking out on the universe.
Look how my universe is doing.
I'm so proud.
Like, why?
Why is he at that face? And why is he awake?
That would be my question to James Gunn if we got along.
Yeah. He just comes on stream. It's like this.
We have this.
No, we do this first. We do this. We didn't see. He's like, oh, hey, John. James. Yeah, we love to see you. We just have one question. Can you tell us what? What is this shot?
And we keep doing that and we keep switching that like into the next one. It's like a thing of like Kurt Taylor and all the examples of the cocking and everything like that. We keep, we keep like surprising him with the background.
Oh, fuck.
All right. Seven, three quarters. There you go.
Yeah.
Seven points.
Seven points. Seven, five.
Seven, five. Yeah.
That sounds high.
I don't know.
I was surprised. Well, actually I was surprised because you said you were going to go like very, you said very high or relatively high.
And when you said that, I was expecting you were going past eight, which I know Taylor definitely is going past eight.
Oh, fuck it, yeah.
He's giving me this face right now.
Seven and three quarters.
I'm actually just going to do a solid eight out of ten.
Oh, okay.
I think that.
I said it, and he had to prove me wrong.
There was a lot in here that.
I really did enjoy, and I think the actor playing Matt Hagen, he was just running with it.
And, man, the whole.
taken down the club sequence really really just prop this this up for me yes things are rushed and that's unfortunate but i am glad we got him having fun with it because it was just music was playing him doing the dancing oh yeah this guy yeah this is easily a whole point that whole scene of you know clayface just turned into the girl and and just going down like to like touch himself while the girl he likes is just watching him you know it's a whole new level of He starts.
Eating off the banker.
I know.
That literally popped in my head. I'm like, what if he just, like, actually just started jerking his meat right now, right in this bed?
Should we turn into the other girl, the dance club? Oh, my God.
Yeah.
This guy looks like he should be in Smile 3, you know?
That should be the poster. So you're going.
With an 8. Going with an 8, yeah. And I will re-watch this.
I'm glad I didn't bring Madison, because I don't think it was definitely her kind of movie.
Because, yeah, it's gory. It's, like, Some things, the palm slicing and all that shit, it's just brutal.
When they open up his nose and you see.
Underneath, reconstructing, just brutal, brutal shit.
I wish that this movie was in Matt Reeves' Batman universe. I really do, because I feel like this fits that tone.
I'll be curious to know.
No.
No.
I'll be curious to know where Batman is legitimately at this point in time. You know, cops are getting murdered, good cops, and mob bosses are dying, and this guy turns into a fucking monster.
That's Matt Reeves' Batman. That's where he's doing that. Jeez Louise.
Yeah, I guess we'll Well, I actually don't know if we'll find out. Maybe we'll find out about the DC Batman and where he is.
You be there or you just be.
Just having fun, man. Making movies. Big adventure. Having a great time.
And we had a great time on this review. Let us know. We should probably... Maybe one of us will remember.
Taylor's usually the best at it. Maybe we should probably make a Clayface spoilers chat just in case. Plus.
I want to be able to... We got to get.
This meme going in the GV Discord so people know.
What it is, right?
We can make some Clayface shirts for Extra Life, I think.
With this guy's face.
It's got to be this guy's face.
With the watermark and everything on there, too.
Yeah, and just Extra Life GV, boom. But yeah, so we'll make a channel.
Oh, we already got it. It's already there.
Perfect. Good on Tish. So let us know if you... Fuckin' Christ. It's just so bad this year.
I did promote a little bit. Extra Life 24-hour charity stream. We're staying up for 24 hours straight doing a bunch of events.
We got guests. We got trivia.
We got our esports league with Gauntlet. We have a bunch of things we're going to be announcing in the next two and a half weeks here. So stay with me. Twins are feeling better. I'm going to get that all going soon. So please do that.
Whether you donate or buy shirts, all the proceeds go to a good cause. So go on to there. And then also in those links there, you can see our Discord where you can... join.
And we got a bunch of channels where we talk about general geek news, Marvel stuff, DC stuff, wrestling, football.
And there is a Clayface spoilers chat. So now we'll be talking about that.
And yeah, I'm going to christen that tonight by dropping this image, but thank you everyone that listened.
And I hope when you hear from us next, it'll not be boring. Bye.
