Huh?

It's the Hawks and Kansas City. But the problem is, right now, me and Detol in the fantasy, he's got 92 points. I got 91. He's got Mahomes playing and, of course, Jackson Smith-Najama, who's just like, I'm going to lose another game to my favorite player in the league. And I got the Seahawks defense and Cup, who's been very wishy-washy. No, don't get him. Don't let him do it.

He's been very wishy-washy. You have a game where he's great, and then a game where it's like, here's one point for you, you know? And Seahawks defense, you never know. I looked at all the Kansas City games, and they've all been winning by pretty good percentages, so kind of annoying that way. But, oh, there's Taylor asking the code on that, so I know. No payday for Taylor.

Sorry, Taylor.

If you're listening, you missed this one.

You're out.

You're right, Kirk, and you look tired over there.

Uh i was just checking the sleeper app i was uh i was feeling i was riding high today because earlier this morning uh vikings kept their win streak going.

They beat by the uh oh yeah it was super messy game like it has been all season but our defense got us the win before you continue i wonder if taylor went to the wrong email he does this all the time he asked for code he gets the wrong email so just we'll find out i'm gonna say he did but anyways you were saying.

Yeah okay Yeah, so I was feeling pretty hyped there. And then I'm also clashing off against Maddie this week in Fantasy. And I was, like, really looking good this morning. Jordan Love ended up getting some points in that game against Detroit.

Yeah, he did throw one pick. Yeah. At least got you a negative point, you know.

What really fucked me was the LA and Las Vegas game, actually, because I have the Rams defense, and they were, like, totally shutting down Vegas, and they made, like, a bit of a run at the end. So that's some crucial points I missed out on. So it's pretty much just one player tomorrow that I have who isn't even, like, a good player, but I still get, like, six points from him, and I'm totally fine. So we'll see. That'd be crazy, beating Maddie, both. vikings being the colts and then beating him in fantasy in the first week man yeah you know he's you know he's getting the fucking odyssey meme of the of athena getting her head decapitated on the.

Rematch for sure but this is after nine um glad to.

Join the casting couch on the casting uh bed.

Where's this location what do you mean is your in-laws bedrooms.

No, this is downstairs under the floors.

I decked it out.

No, you didn't. That's a lie.

It's beautiful down here.

That's a lie.

Just wait until you guys see it.

It's amazing.

So this is in your bedroom?

Yeah.

How come you've not casted from here before?

I have casted from here before.

When?

There was a cast with Dylan.

I think it was Summer Games Fest that did an episode in here. And there was another review I did in here as well. And one with Dylan as well.

Can you imagine if you're doing Midnight Reviews here? Taylor would be out before we're done the intro.

Check this out.

He's butt-ass naked.

Cozy fire.

Why did you not think to do... Why weren't you in here when we did Face Off?

Uh, cause I had... When it.

Was pandemonium in your house and for 45 minutes, it was just the Nathan Fielder.

Because Satine took the girl and I still had the boy.

Satine took the girl?

Or Madison took the girl and I still had the boy. So I had to be on boy duty.

Oh, I see.

I couldn't just sit in the bed and just.

That's good timing right there.

Just lock the door.

Yeah. But this is our monthly call-in show where we drop a link in about five minutes from now. We'll have Taylor tell a little story of some stress he went through yesterday, but we're going to talk about just random stuff. We're going to talk about Halloween coming up and movies. We'll see if anyone else has seen Clayface, talked about them. Probably do like a little bit of what we've been watching because I feel like we've not done that segment in a while, or at least I haven't because I have like a backlog of stuff like, oh, I'm going to be saving it, and then it just hasn't happened, but Yeah, lots of good stuff coming up this week on the podcast, all around the feeds. We've got Extra Life coming up, so the details are all

down below for that. But, yes, if you want to call in and join us and other listeners, we'll be chatting for about roughly two hours. We'll be ending. What the fuck is that, Taylor?

When I'm on the Mac, I love getting all this shit.

The rain clouds. Oh, the lasers. I've got to find that one. Yeah, so we're going to be talking for about two hours here. But, Taylor, I'll set this up for everybody. Last night, Usually every year we do a Halloween party, but we didn't this year. Shay was working. Kirkland and Kyle are out. The usual suspects, Kirkland, not Kirkland, Kyle and Sasha, were out of town. All the people, the usuals that we invite, right? So we're like, okay, not going to do anything this year. So we're like, oh, we'll do a pumpkin walk. So we did the pumpkin walk.

And if you don't know, it's our local, like, you know, park, Mission Creek Park. It's like you got a park, you got a walking pass, bridges, all that stuff, hikes and trails. So they deck it out. They do some stuff. And then at the end of that trail, there's a bunch of pumpkins that you get to go watch and look at and admire and go, oh, there's everything. So we're going there with Taylor Madison. We didn't invite Kirk. He didn't say anything. If it's in Kelowna and we're not filming, it's not happening. So we are planning this. We're going there and everything. And then, Taylor, I'll let you take over from this point. Because this is the point where we're just both going to the pumpkin patch.

Yeah, so, I mean, I don't do it all the time, but sometimes I will. I've been known to text. And my phone, for whatever reason.

I.

Don't think Taylor's ever texted me in my entire life, just so you know.

Let me get the... I'll find out. He texted me last night, and let's see.

He did text me last night, and the text before that was, it's Taylor. So the first time that we, like, exchanged numbers, that's probably what the chain would have gone through.

Yeah, last time he texted me was November 1st, 2024. He's been known to text, though. Known to text.

I've been known once in a while.

What's my timestamp?

So.

Yeah, I.

My concept was okay.

2019.

2019, August 13th.

Oh, 2019, he's been known to text.

Look at that. Look at that image in there, too.

Hey, not everyone knows Clayface spoilers, right? We haven't... So we haven't dropped in the main chat yet. You got two weeks to see Clayface. I never said it was Clayface.

That's just a random image.

No one would have made that connection until Travis spoiled it.

I just don't know, so....

But yeah, I thought, okay, well, like, I wanted, like, the... the phone to connect to like my car speaker or whatever.

So it's easier to talk.

I don't know if messenger speaker, whatever does that messenger voice, but, uh, I know phone calls.

It does.

So my, my touch screen or like, okay, hit call Travis.

So calls, of course, of course, doesn't pick up, you know, um, cause it went to Kirkland's fucking phone. And, uh, it was weird because when it, I said, okay, call Travis and the profile, like Travis's profile image, everything would name Travis. Now, But when I hit call, then it said dialing Kirkland.

I thought, well, that's weird. But then it didn't, it didn't pick, you didn't pick up. And all of a sudden I.

Got another text and it's this fucking guy. And I'm like, this is Kirkland.

For people that don't know, there is a meme from Clayface that will become very popular in the GV group eventually once we can share it. So, you know, listen to the review, listen to the review.

So that happens. And I thought, well, that means I don't have Travis's number.

Cause a while ago, my number's, For whatever reason, it just kind of wiped the slate clean after I did an iOS update, whatever. So I was just adding people's numbers back in and so forth. And I asked for Kirkland. Kirkland gave me his number because he's a decent, nice, reliable character there.

I'm not going to answer the phone, but I'll text you back.

Travis gave me a number.

And I just trusted it was his number because I'm on my lunch break. I'm just thinking, sure, I've got to get these numbers added in. And he gives me Kirkland's number.

Which I didn't know.

I didn't catch on. It's a bunch of digits. I didn't clue in. So this was months ago.

And finally, when it's go time, I'm trying to coordinate parking and whatnot.

And I'm trying to call.

And it goes to Kirkland again and again.

And I'm like, I don't have his number.

And then Kirkland, you give me Travis's contact information, which is amazing. And then I call Travis and relay this whole fucking debacle to him. And so while we're in line for a good half hour, I'm trying to get this fixed.

Massive line, by the way.

And I have to delete Kirkland as a contact. And I punch in Travis's number. But when I changed Travis's number from your number to his new number, it still was texting you. That's why when I took the screenshot of the conversation and texted it, it was still to you, Kirkland, even though I put.

His number in.

And then you responded with the John Travolta thing doing the.

Little side step.

And I thought, it's still not working. I'm like, what is going on? So it's still... It has two conversations.

Both conversations say Travis Snell, and one is to you, and one is to Travis. But same profile picture, same names.

And he can't change the number. He can't change the number at all.

That's so funny.

The number is changed, but it still sends to that other conversation.

Anytime he tries to text you, it comes up as Travis Snell. It is tough to change sometimes. I don't know if you remember this. Years ago when we did those Super Bowl spots, and we did the Where's JJ one. Do you remember that?

No.

It was like you were drowning me in the bathtub trying to find the trailer for Episode 9. And to get the phone call to, say, J.J. Abrams, I changed my Apple ID to J.J. And it still hasn't– like, when I– it's Travis Snell all over, but when me and Emily have shared documents, like our shared meal plans, it still comes up as J.J. And I have nowhere– it's been like that since 2018. I have nowhere– I have no idea how to change it. I've looked into it.

Everywhere else is Travis, but there, it's J.J., J.J. Abrams himself. yeah and i did that i like obviously i'm always scheming but i thought because the first time to ask for the number i gave him like a 250 69 69 so i thought i thought he knew i was memeing and he's saying like oh i didn't know it was in the same group like it was in the same he didn't ask us separately he asked us both at the same time so it was kirkland's number and then like it was a couple messages a couple no yeah it was a couple it was still in the same text thread and then it was Kirkland's number again and he just fell for it so and so that's why when he called I was surprised it happened because I thought oh I went months of hearing about it

like I guess he just knew right away oh that's a meme like whatever but no he didn't so but I picked up and you we use Facebook Messenger way more than anything else so you know.

Yeah, when you called me, I just assumed, like, I don't know, Cedric had your phone or something. It was just spamming, like, pocket dial numbers.

I saw that.

Very nice play.

So there's Kirkland Cedric's number.

No dashes in Zod. Just chill, man.

Okay.

And then I'm going to scroll down. Now look how far down it is. We're still going down. Still going down. And where is it?

There better not be any compromising stuff. I send you guys dick pics all the time.

And there it is, right there. Oh, there's Pearl.

And then what did you send me? Did you send me the being all thing? Yeah, I did. So I thought you knew I was memeing. I thought you were memeing like you were just giving up. But, you know, I apologize.

No, because you were like, what did you say?

I was like, just like, I haven't forgotten to get your number. Because you kept ghosting it.

Join link is now live, everybody. So if you want to call and join, now is the time now. So I apologize for that.

When you called me, I just assumed it was like a pocket dial. That's why I replied with that. And then you're like, wait, who is this?

Oh, yeah.

I'm not answering the phone ever.

You never answer the phone?

I mean, on work days, I do. But on the weekends, very rarely will I answer the phone. Even for family. Yeah, that's just something I do.

And I'm trying to call Travis and I'm like, I'm getting mugged or I'm in jail. My one phone call. And I think I'm getting him, but it's really going to you. And the, and I don't answer the police. Like what's this guy's photo here?

You know, just, yeah, I will. I, if I have a, like, if I have a phone, like the phone, I will pick up because I just assume that it's like emergency or something important. Cause I didn't know situations where it's like, okay, I have to phone get this. I will. The only times I, cause obviously I work at home. So when I get that, you can call me there. The worst times to call me is from, like, I'd say probably 4 to, like, 6 or 7. Go away, Kirkland. No, no, at night because I try to, when the girls are home, I put my, like, where my podcast situation is, I put my phone on the top rung so I try not to check it or, like, it won't alert me or anything like that. So if I'm obviously, like, talking to you guys, then I'll have it on me. But

if it's, like, okay, I have nothing going on, I'm not waiting for a response, I'll put it up there. So if you call me around, like, pre- during or after dinner time, it's over. You're not, you're not getting, you're dying there. So tell the kidnapper to be like, I'll, can I have my call in like a couple of hours from now? But any other time I'll pick up because you never know. I've been there.

Travis told you is around, is it 12 o'clock?

Every day. Every time I go live and trust, so you fucking text me and it's always, Hey, where's my pay stuff? Hey, do you know, do you know what we're doing for our taxes this year? It's like, I've no, like, it'll be anything. It'll be the biggest question. It's like the, that meme. What is the believer or not? When it's like, have you ever seen a seven foot tall man? And like, why do clowns ride bikes? Like that guy, you know, the meme I'm talking about.

Not a clue.

Oh, okay. Well, I'm going to bring a Maddie and I'm going to bring an April. They got to know what I'm talking about. Do you guys know what I'm talking about?

I don't think so.

I don't know. Oh, my God.

You know what? The show's ending. We're going to end it here. You've not seen this meme, like, portfolio? People use it, and then, like, okay. This is my last shot. uh so it's like a lot of people use it for a kid to be like oh you're five year old at like 3 a.m in the morning it's like have you ever seen a seven foot man do you know why clowns ride bikes and do you know mike do you know this mike you know i'm talking.

About mike to the rescue i i wasn't paying attention what you guys were saying for the past two minutes.

So we're starting the show over now okay you know what i'm gonna i'm i'm gonna find this uh april how's it going i'm good how are you Good. Well, currently, not good because I'm getting heat over here. Okay, here we go. So people use this meme format. This has to ring a bell. This has to ring a bell.

We created it.

Not this time.

No, not this time. I got the wrong one. I hit Taylor with this one all the time. Hang on, hang on. I'll do take two. But it's from that show, The Fact or Picture or whatever. I do one more chance. Oh, here you go.

April.

Jonathan asks you things.

Oh, nice.

You can imagine that, yeah. Okay, here we go. This is it.

Into a huge parking area and realize you'd forgotten where you parked your car.

Have you ever gone mountain biking?

What do you want to be when you grow up?

What's the right tip?

Have you called a plumber to your home lately?

How specific are you?

Anytime I go live? Okay, anytime I go live, these are the questions Taylor hits me with during church.

How much money would it take to make you spend a night in a cemetery?

Do you display this as a trophy?

Do you have a pet?

Do you have a sweet tooth?

Do you believe in the power of a curse?

Have you had your hearing tested there?

Planning a trip soon.

Can you remember the tallest man you've ever seen?

Do you love to go wandering beneath the clear blue sky?

Have you noticed what big stars real estate agents have become?

Have your computer ever seemed to have a mind of its own?

Have you ever visited a Chinatown section in a major city?

Have you ever visited a flea market?

Have you ever visited a truck stop?

Did you ever have a job as a waiter?

Have you noticed how many successful restaurants are theme-based these days?

Have you ever had the desire to write your initials in wet cement?

I think, like, another one is too, like, oh, when you bump into that employee you just don't like, and it's like, you know, you're like, well, I'm riding my own bikes and stuff. But that's Taylor. Anytime I go live here. And I know Taylor's not, like, watching Travis Told You. He probably hasn't listened to Travis Told You in, like, since the inception of the show. So I know it's not, like, a meme or anything, but he just knows I'm on air trying to focus.

I never know when we're live either. If I'm, like, I'm scrolling, I never notice the live. Except when it was the Weekly Geek. And I saw you were in there. I was like, well, I'm going to jump in there too.

You could feel it.

Yeah.

Because the boys are doing a cast.

On the end of the show, yeah.

He always calls you out, Taylor. He always shouts you out. You know, he's doing his TTY. He always gives you the shout out when you text him.

That's right.

I do.

So, Matty, I'm going to throw to you because obviously, you know, we were talking on the Discord. You're having a tough go, but maybe Monday, you know, you still got a chance to win your fantasy game, you know?

Kirkland, Athena's coming for you.

Hey buddy he's coming.

I already took you out this morning i already took out your colts this morning now i gotta finish the job tomorrow i only need what six points that one player it's gonna.

Be a very dirty ending yeah the fact that it's coming down to this guy it's uh.

I thought i had you i thought i had you uh earlier this morning and then you you came back you clawed your way back throughout the day.

Let's go and then mike how's it going I see you're not going to be celebrating a second wing this week, but it was looking good at one point.

This afternoon's game was a rollercoaster ride of emotions. It was up, it was down, that goddamn sleeper percentage going to 55 to 60 to 70, down to 51. Then I had 51.

Look, if.

C.D.

Lamb plays the best game of his career tomorrow, I might have a chance, but it's not looking good currently with Emmanuel Wilson on Seattle, so... I'm doomed to walk in your footsteps from last year, Travis.

Yeah, somebody always has to, right? That happened to Matty the first year, and then me the second year, and then you. I think Matty still has more wins than us. Matty, you were last place the first time he played, right?

Yeah, and last year you avoided it. It was actually Dalton, right?

Yes, but I was last place until the second last week.

Because you won the tournament.

Yeah yeah so it was very close so uh but um terry or hander right you're doing are you trying to get attention or i say.

Travis you and me both forgot to submit the last round of music league did.

We yeah yeah oh my god i i'm so rusty i'm still i'll still go vote are we allowed to vote if we didn't know we.

Can't because you can't vote so we punch that oh.

My god.

Who's winning so far?

Mike, you're in first. I'm in third.

Sort of. I have two honorary points, so technically I'm in first place.

I screwed up. I meant to, because Taylor did a round where he said, don't pick, I can't remember, but it's something from the 80s, but don't pick any songs from Stranger Things. And he put in Thriller, which is not in Stranger Things, but they heavily used it for the season two promotion. So I was like, ah, like, you know, and Thriller gets played a lot. Thriller is one of those songs, if you put in the music league, it always just eats up points. I'm like, I'm not going to give him any points. other than these other ones, but I screwed up and gave him two points, and I forgot to give April points. So I completely screwed her over. So I'm hoping that she has a... Luckily, I feel like this is right, Taylor. Are you missing out?

I feel like that's justice for me, isn't it?

I'm pretty sure I gave April five points in this current round, so... Did you?

I haven't voted yet.

So, there you go.

Well, never mind, I guess. Well, nobody else is on here, that's enough. Is that the John Carpenter song? That was me.

Yeah, that's right.

Okay.

The other one was... Not the greatest.

Yeah.

John, John, we got to talk to you, John. You get some interesting Halloween tastes. I'll let you, I'll say that, but no, I feel like I was like a couple months ago when they did that fight on Netflix with Ron Rousey and, uh, Gina Carano and Gina Carano just got destroyed in six seconds. That was me in music league this time. I was like half paying attention. And you know what screwed me up? I think it was Taylor at the beginning. He screwed up the rounds from the first start where he said we had four days.

And then all of a sudden the round went through on fast. It was over. No one voted. And I think I had a good song.

Four days to do it.

And John gave me good points on the fucking interview, the vampire song. I was like, oh, well, and I can't play that again because everyone's just going to know it's me. So I had one shot at it.

And that's pretty sure everyone knew it was you in before that.

Does April seen the show? And I don't know.

That's true.

Taylor's seen the show. Three people.

And you know what? I really thought it was Travis putting goosebumps and it was Taylor. So that threw me for a loop.

I thought it was Mike because he's Canadian. So I thought, well, who else is watching Goosebumps? But obviously, before, you know, a horse should have been. But then we ended up being Taylor.

So, yeah.

And that's and that's why I hate that's why I hated when Espos would play because anytime you put in wrestler music, everyone would think it was me. And other than one time that John Cena got lots of votes every other time, I feel like it was like. oh, you know, we're not going to vote for that because it's not trash. It's not me. Don't vote for it.

It has nothing to do with it. But I was rusty, but I was having fun. There's some good songs that go around and stuff. So thanks, Taylor, for setting up.

You like the Has Been Hotel song I sent in.

That was good, yeah. It's not pushing me to watch the show anymore, but it was good. There's just too much to watch.

You should watch the show.

It's good.

There's too much to watch. It's just like I was talking to Emily because I haven't seen it. Has anyone seen the You Can See Everything dog yet?

No.

Okay, I'm trying to see it at some point this week, one of the days I don't cast. It's just a thing like, man, three hours in the theater is a lot of time. But what do you think, April? What do you think of it? Do you enjoy Nathan Fielder's stuff? Or is it like a first time experience for you?

This is the first time I've seen any of his stuff. I keep meaning to go back and watch stuff now, but it is wild. Whatever you expect to happen, it's ten times weirder than that.

That's what I keep hearing. I've not fully been spoiled. I've been minorly spoiled of just one aspect, but I don't even know how it plays out. So I just want to see it before I get any more spoiled.

Yeah.

You definitely should see it without knowing anything.

Yeah.

So that's where, and I haven't even seen, had you even seen the deciphered show before?

No, I hadn't seen the dropout. I knew, I mean, like I knew who she was in general terms, but no, I hadn't seen the dropout either.

So yeah, I hadn't seen that either. So it's like, I really had no, like I, the only way I learned about this was like a year ago when it was reported that he was visiting her in prison. And that's how I learned who Elizabeth Holmes was. Cause like Dylan got me onto Nathan's stuff. And if you like the dog, I think, I think the other stuff is a lot more comedic from what I've heard. I'm sure there's some comedy in the documentary, but the other stuff, if you like his stuff, Just watch that knowing there's a bit more like a comedy slant. But I want to see that. And that's where there's just there's so much stuff out right now, as we always talk about.

You know, I want to do that. I got like a couple of days left of my AMC subscription. So I'm trying to watch a bunch of stuff on there. I still watch the news, VHS and everything. I watch the cycle, which.

You can skip that.

That's what I hear, but I want to try and see them all, but April, I told, had you seen any previews or anything with the cycle before you'd seen it?

No, I just saw it on a list of stuff that was coming out on Shudder, so I didn't know anything about it before I watched it.

I told Taylor the same thing, not to watch anything.

Oh, yeah.

No, Taylor, he was like it.

Yeah.

It's like custom-made for you guys. It's like The Barbarian and other stuff going on in there that you're just going to– and you've got to sit with it because you're like, oh, why are they getting this movie? It's Karen from Daredevil. Okay, but there's like a half– no, it's like 40 minutes in, some stuff goes down, and it's just like, whoa. It was– that's like my– like sleeper gym like last year with vhs halloween that's what the cycle is for me this year it's just like man it is fucking so good and all those like practical effects and i feel like kirkland did you and dylan talk about it on a cast once or something i know i put the trail on a weekly gig at some point yeah i won't i won't ask you

on what'd you say.

I was just pulling it up to remind myself i've never seen uh deborah ann hall is that.

Her name well Wool, yeah.

Wool, wool.

There you go.

I remember seeing the trailer with her in there.

What does it rank on your letterboxd list, Travis and April? Is it high up?

Oh, crazy.

I'd say it's probably in the top 15 or 20. I haven't actually put it in order, but I gave it four and a half stars. I don't think Travis had logged it yet.

I gave it, yeah, I gave it four and a half. I think it's in my top 10. I think it's actually going to bump, yeah, I think it's going to bump Onslaught down because I had Onslaught on the 10 there. And then, yeah, I think I think it's up because I actually don't feel like I have a lot of five star movies this year. I feel like there's some years I just spam them. And then there's some years like this where I feel like I'm a bit more conflicted.

But I'm seeing right now. Yeah. Clay. He gave it a three point five.

That's great.

He was just talking about how much he liked it. I know that's good for Clay, but Jesus.

That's huge. I was surprised when you dropped that note, because especially all the stuff he watches, I would not have thought he was going to be watching the cycle. Like, I just didn't feel like Clay, I know, watches a bunch of stuff. I just like all this other stuff on his list before he gets this kind of like.

independent movie and everything but uh yeah i highly recommend it and if you haven't seen a trailer or anything don't watch it'll do you no fair i didn't know i only watched it because i'd seen good reviews and i like deborah ann.

Is it more horror comedy or straight up horror.

No it's not comedy straight horror yeah straight straight uh lots of good vibes going on too so it's like it's a lot of stuff.

So i'll put it on my list my me and my friend we always have a halloween horror night so i'll put down a list for us to watch uh that night we're running out of ideas so.

I think it's a good movie it's not like anything where it's like oh someone i'm like oh i love the lighthouse and okay i can't give that to you this is like a like a great like general horror like it's a great like halloween watch where i think there's something for Everybody, so definitely check it out. Yeah, because I pulled up Letterboxd. Mike, I just saw your Camp Masala score. That's not good. Didn't you enjoy your time there?

I liked it a lot more than I saw the TV glow, so that's an improvement for me.

Mike, what did you get there?

The ending of the director's movies, they just kind of lose me. They go off in this really heady direction. It's the whole thing of like, well, it's not real, but it's a metaphor. But I like the vibe of it, the visuals, the soundtrack, the acting. It was all good. It's just the story and characters, I feel like I liked it a little bit more. Just a little bit more.

But I still liked it. I liked it.

That's fair. I've never seen I Saw a Teen Glow. i i because i think i heard the way people described it as like i don't know if that's what i'm looking for right now but then i did really like this one so i gotta go uh i gotta check it out at some point so um yeah we're all.

Going to the world's fair.

No i just i've seen that poster a bunch it looks i.

Love that one that's my favorite of the three.

Does it have an ending like i just described.

It's been a little while since I watched it, but I think it's got more of an ending than the other two.

Okay.

Okay.

That wasn't a denial, Mike.

That's true. This poster is.

I'm not saying you'll hate it or won't hate it. I'm just saying artistically, it's worth a watch.

I wrote this in my review for Kat Miasma. I respect those movies a hell of a lot more than I actually enjoy watching them.

That's fair. Yeah, I think we all have those. This poster is looking like... I don't know.

I really enjoyed Kat Miasma, though. It's about the internet.

It's Kirkland watching the Batman reaction.

Give her some glasses.

That's what happens, you know. What is the plot? There's something I shouldn't know about.

Yeah, that picture keeps me up to date.

In her attic bedroom, teenager Casey becomes immersed in online role-playing horror games where she begins to document the changes that may or may not be happening. Oh, okay. Okay.

I don't know if I'm ready for this.

No, you're not ready for it, man. What do you got left, Matty, on the– you got any Halloween watches coming up this week? Obviously, Halloween's next six days away.

Yeah, I'm still making my way through Crystal Lake. It's been pretty good so far.

I'm enjoying it.

Yeah, I've just been ripping movies, man, ripping a bunch of movies. I'm probably going to do a Freddie versus Jason at some point.

Halloween staple for me. So I got to pop that in sometime this week for sure.

No, that's a, I'll defend Freddie versus Jason all the time. It's like, uh, even when they talk about the documentary, like, Oh yeah, we did what we could. And it is what it is. Like, no, that's a, that's, that's one of the best that I'll say it's probably the best versus movie. You know, like I'm sure there's like Batman versus man that has like better cinematography and acting, but no man, they just captured everything so well. You said Crystal Lake. My mom this week, she's watching. She's like, oh, you know, that's the person who played Velma in Scooby-Doo?

I was like, yeah, she's been around for... She almost spoke like she had never acted since then and then came back to do this role.

She was so happy to bring it up to you and you gave her no reaction?

No, not at all. Sometimes I think she's watching. What about you, Mike? You said you're going to add that to the list. Is there anything else that's left on the list for this week?

I'm going to see Clayface either Thursday or Friday. Still got to hammer down the date with my friend on that one. Finish off my Evil Dead rewatch, which is just fantastic. I love every single one of those movies. They just put a smile on my face. And just seeing Bruce Campbell again, I know there's the sad news that apparently he's not got much time left to live.

And when that day comes, I know it's just going to hit me like a bag of bricks.

Yeah.

Are you going to be watching even the one from this year?

Yeah, that's going to be the grand finale. My fact is every year on Halloween night, me and my family, we hang out at my sister's house, pass out candy, then I select a horror movie for us to watch, and this year my selection is Evil Dead Birds.

How did that weight fall on you?

Is your family going to be into that?

Well, they say, hey, look, my mom and my sister don't like horror movies anyway. So they just say, look, we're not going to like whatever you pick. So we're just going to trust your opinion, choose whatever you want. So I'm like, okay.

Oh, they're not going to like that. That is a rough movie.

Well, last year we watched Nosferatu. They liked that enough. And the year before, I made the unfortunate decision of choosing something I hadn't seen yet, which was The Strangers Chapter One. So ever since that year, I rewatch everything to make sure we're not watching something crappy.

Yeah. That's a bad one.

Oh, I mean, at least it was one. Cause they only get worse.

It's like, yeah, I have not gone back to them since. Don't do it.

They do get worse.

So that's literally, you read my mind. That's the question I was going to ask you. Like, what was your biggest flub and pick in a movie? But that's a, that makes sense.

Yeah.

Between that or Halloween kills.

Isn't Howling Kills still fun enough, though?

I like Howling Kills.

Or was it just not a good experience for you?

Evil Dies Tonight, that ending.

Yes.

A lot of cringe.

I think it's fun.

Yeah, I like the Michael stuff. I like all that when it's just like we're just going to have them roaming around causing havoc, hurting people. But yeah, the Evil Dies stuff is.

The first five minutes of that movie is top-notch.

Oh, with the firefighters and everything?

Yeah.

No that's the or wait no sorry i'm thinking oh.

Right yeah wait no you're right you're right i.

Was thinking events or are you right yeah with the kid yeah with the kid oh yeah yeah kills kills is the uh the fire yeah kills you're right kills is i was mixing up my.

Movie which one technically no kills technically starts with the the 80s flashback right or the 70s flashback yeah it does yeah yeah yeah that i love like i love that opening and i really hope they uh I'm very curious what they do with the next Halloween movie. I really don't know what route they can go because you can't obviously do Jimmy Lee again. I just feel like modern day is kind of taking it out. And I just don't know, do you literally start over and start anew and you're going to remake it? Or do you just be like, okay, it's going to take place after Halloween 2 but not focus on Laurie? I really don't know what you do with those movies.

Remake Season of the Witch.

I don't want that.

I gotta give it another go. I think I remember seeing it younger and being like, where's Michael? I was in that crowd of people.

Happy, happy Halloween, Silver Shamrock.

I'm curious what they're going to do with that. What about you, April? I know you're always watching stuff. What's on the agenda for this week?

I've still got.

Rocky Horror and It for my Tim Curry watches. I left the two big ones for last. Liam actually hasn't seen any of the It movies, so that's what we're doing on Halloween is we're going to watch all three of them, I guess. Sort of four, whatever. We'll watch the 90s and the 2017, 2020, whatever. Not a big fan of the second one, but we might also, not on Halloween, but we might watch that after.

Okay.

So.

Yeah, I think the second one, I love the scope of it, right? That's how big I like it. But yeah, the miniseries, it's funny you bring that up. I actually had a nightmare last night about Tim Curry's It to the point where I don't think I've ever had this in my life. In the dream, I swiped something away, and I did that in real life, and I hit Valerie in the head. She didn't wake up, luckily. But I've never had that violent of a dream. It was like I went to someone's house, and they're having a clown over for their birthday, and he's doing stuff, and it was maybe not Tim Curry's clown, but someone looking very similar. And he's doing a bunch of spooky, crazy stuff.

I'm like, oh, this isn't real. This isn't real. And then he doesn't let us leave. There's like hyenas in the yard. I couldn't escape because there's hyenas in the yard. And what would happen is every time you go into a room, you'd leave it. You'd go back. The room would be gone. So the house kept like closing in.

It was nightmare fuel. And it's one of those where I woke up and then fell back asleep and somehow went back in that dream. It never happens with like a good dream. It's always like Tim Grace. And I haven't watched. Like, whatsoever, anything. So it was fucking terrifying. I haven't had a good nightmare in a while, so... Goddamn, so...

What about you, Taylor? What do you got cooking on there? Do you have family stuff? And then do you have, like... Because obviously it's a teen, and Cedric is a bit younger, so do you have, like, family Halloween watches? Or is it just you and Madison watches?

Um.

A lot of me and Madison watches because we did Annabelle Creation. It's the best of the trilogy.

Right, you're a big defender of that.

That's up there.

For me, it's below Conjuring, but it just kind of touches upon that kind of Conjuring stuff.

It's such a good freaking movie. What else did we do?

There's a lot of firsts for Halloween movies for Satine this year, so it's a lot of fun. So we did Nightmare Before Christmas, but then we realized, oh, she picked up some bad lingo because she's looking at Madison. She's like, Mommy, you're awful. And she smiles like... That's probably not great.

We've just been listening to the music a lot. What else?

You recommended a couple years ago that Toy Story Terror one, so she likes that. We watched that one a couple times.

That's a good one.

We did Casper. She liked Casper.

You love Casper.

I love Casper.

Specifically, Taylor kept spamming me and Kirkland with the one guy. Oh, man. I'll bring him up.

Piece of cake.

He's like, this is so funny. He's like, I just laughed my ass off and everything like that.

That guy kills me.

And you get the Ghostbusters crossover in there, too.

The movie's just fantastic. It's so good.

I just watched that the other day, too.

It is a good movie.

That priest guy.

I've seen people do it. I'm very confident I can do it. That's so good.

That was a pretty good impression.

It was not bad, actually. I guess he watched it like 50 times. Maybe because we weren't giving him any laugh emojis, I don't know, but he was just like, this is the... And he watched Casper all the time, so I don't know why this year was such a big deal, but yeah.

Well, I haven't watched it in a few years.

You have experience.

I have quite a bit of experience.

Not exactly doing it, but I've studied it, and I've talked to people who have done it, I've seen the video and I feel very confident with my knowledge I could do it, no problem.

Who is this guy? It's no problem.

It's like no problem whatsoever.

Piece of cake, piece of crumb cake.

So tell me. I think it's somebody. It's not Harold.

It's like a mixture of Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger.

That, and then, like, it's not him?

Sounds like the demo guy from Atlantis, if anybody knows that movie.

Oh, yeah.

Yeah, it does. I don't think it is because they have, like, Dan Aykroyd after, but it looks like Harold Ramis in makeup, like, not Harold Ramis, but I don't know. I'll find it out. But, yeah, today it was just, like, him and his family were watching Casper, and he was just saying this and, like, memes over and over again of this guy, but... He's a comb, Craig.

What else, though, have we had on the docket?

Don Novello. There you go. Don't know who that is. He's in The Godfather Part 3.

The Batman. I saw him.

It just kind of put me in that mood, and The Batman is a Halloween movie. Then Capturing Bigfoot.

Did that.

When's Cryptid Coups dropping?

So we put one out last night for just the previewing. Or no, sorry, the night before for the pre, like before we watched it. And then we're going to record another one tomorrow because we watched it together, me and Ruben.

Nice.

So we broke it down. We're going to dive into it some more.

Kirkland, was that character you're talking about named Vinny in Atlantis, The Lost Empire?

Yeah.

Yeah, that sounds right.

That's who he voices.

Hey!

I've seen that movie a lot.

I recognize those voices.

That's crazy.

There you go. That's actually his top movie on IMDb. It's that and Casper, Godfather Part 3, who I don't remember who he is, and then Saturday Night Live. I guess he was on 39 episodes. So there you go. Shut it down, Don Novell. And I think he's still alive. So Taylor, one day we can cast him in a GVS project and Make your wish come true. We'll give you a scene with them. I'd love that.

I did a bunch of the Friday Night Part 13. And then Haunted Mansion, that Eddie Murphy one. That one, I love that one. That's just got a sweet spot. I remember my parents rented it from the video store back in the day. And I just love the humor. I love just the vibe of the mansion in there.

I saw. It's so good. I can't remember if it was a Discord, the G3. I think it was a Discord. Yeah, when I hit ship, I'm like, Haunted Mansion, five stars, question mark? He's like, no, no, no. The old one with Eddie Murphy. Yeah, that's what.

I'm asking about.

We've all got those.

Yeah.

Oh, yeah. That's with me and Jingle All the Way with Arnold. I know that movie's probably on a quality scale, probably failed, but that's a five-star for me right there. That's a perfect 10 out of 10 movie.

Did Underworld.

That's a great one. It's been a while since I watched that Underworld one. And then we did Adam's Family. I watched that one with Satine. And Adam's Family, that one just... Man, that just has something in it that's just hilarious.

I'm glad it has a sequel.

Like the live-action or anime?

The Christopher Lloyd one. The live-action one.

Okay, yeah, yeah.

So there's just.

Like the Gomez, the Morticia. I just feel like they're bringing it, and I just.

They are, yeah.

It's just so freaking good.

Which one do you like better? Because it's always a big debate. Do you like the first one, or do you like Family Values?

I like the first one.

I like Fester just trying to remember everything and whatnot, and just... The way Gomez is just... He's acting in there.

Yeah, it's just... There's something about it.

I'll give the classic answer. Of course, I'm Family Values. I'm on the other side of it. I love, man, Joan Cusack in that movie. She's so good trying to kill Fester the whole time and the back and forth. And I love Wednesday at the camp, like the summer camp the whole time. All that stuff is fantastic. And isn't that like... Is her boyfriend like David Krumholtz younger?

Like Bernard? Or am I wrong on that?

I'm not sure.

Okay. I have to look that up. But I want to circle back. You said you're watching some Friday 13th. Which ones did you specifically did you just like randomize it or is there what are the go to ones for you?

I did two and then I did three.

I didn't want to do number one because I want to watch Camp Crystal Lake and just kind of like go through it. I will probably go back and watch number one maybe before Halloween, but I got to do. the final chapter and then yeah i gotta see i gotta see what else i'm feeling after.

That jason x that's the best one I don't.

Normally go to Jason X. I might own it.

You think it's the best one, April?

Oh yeah, by far.

Is the bar that high that any of them could really be the best one?

Final Chapter is probably the best one I imagine. I do think Friday the 13th has a lot of very meh ones. So that is true because we were talking about that on the Crystal Lake review where it's like Nightmare on Elm Street U3 where it's like, oh this is like fantastic you got the first one dream warriors and then new nightmare where it's like all that you could easily make an argument halloween's all what people never.

Argue i always gotta defend you you and clay.

Some people are arguing too but i'm just saying like no people are the vast majority are never arguing two is the best halloween's always just okay it's the first time but.

It belongs to the conversation.

I'd have, you might be, you probably are right. Cause after that you have Freddy's dead, which is off. Yeah. You got Freddy's dead, which is awful. You have the remake, which is not great. You have part five, which is meh. I like, uh, I like part four, but, um, and then like Halloween's also, okay. Yeah. The first Halloween, but yeah, Friday 13th, that first movie is very fine. And then after that, it's just like a mix of, weird results.

So it probably is Final Chat. Or I think I agree with some people's hot take that the remake might actually be the best one somehow.

That is 100% my take. I think the remake is the best in the franchise.

Yeah, and people don't want to... I feel like people hate saying that. I don't want to say that because it's a remake and you just don't say that. Like, oh, it's the original, it's a classic. But No, I think they cut everything.

It distills everything that's Friday the 13th into one nice package. You watch it, you get Jason killing a bunch of people, and you even get Jared Petalecki, which is a nice little bonus.

Yeah, you get that. You get cheesy comedy moments. You get actual serious dramatic stuff. I liked Jason running around actually this time. I think I'm on that way. I've always been waiting for us to do a retro at some point to officially declare that, but I think that's the answer.

The intro is great. The first ten minutes of that movie is great.

Oh, my God. I remember seeing it in the theaters, and at that point, I'm not, like, dissecting trailers and stuff like that, so I'm just saying, oh, this is the movie. And when everybody's getting killed off, like, you get this whole short film before the movie starts. Man, I was taken for a fucking ride as a young and seeing that. That was, like, one of the best openings ever. Like, that was... Kudos to whoever had that idea, so...

And it's crazy. Like, what did that movie make? Like, we never got a follow-up whatsoever. Like, it was.

Well, the rights to all that stuff is a giant mess, and it has been for a long time.

Yeah, what's the deal with that? Do you guys know what the deal is?

Well, someone owns Jason.

Somebody owns Jason, and somebody owns Friday the 13th, and they're not the same person.

Like the brand. So that's why you got, like, Jason X, and Jason Goes to Hell, and Freddy vs. Jason, because you could do those without doing, like, student the rights thing but for the remake they had to figure out some point right because friday 13th was after freddie versus jason all this lawsuit stuff is going on so i'm not sure if they.

Figured out how they get all of those remakes.

Oh oh yeah they did that the two chainsaws and then freddie yeah budget 19 million made 92 it's pretty good you know so but.

Um movie it's like rent free in my head when the guy's running up from the little uh garage shed and jason grabs that axe yeah both hands oh yeah head oh my god and.

He's like using him as bait and everything you know or the.

Girl under the dock you know and he puts the thing and she they just you know they didn't need to do it but they just they flash you you know you're a young.

Oh yeah they pull her up and she's naked and blood's going down i think she was fine she did a whole skidoo scene like completely in the nude i think she was completely okay with it and then And then they have the scene with the guy from Transformers, which is, like, a 15-minute sex scene and everything. But it's all, like, cheesy and comedic. You had Crazy Ralph in there, like, a little cameo, him seeing Trent get killed. So, yeah.

Even that poster is great. They definitely should do more. I know they're doing another one. And it's either that or it is probably Crystal Lake. Crystal Lake, quality-wise, is probably, like, the best thing about the Friday the 13th thing, you know?

So.

They killed that.

Girl because you think she's going to make it, but she was in Sky High. She played the girl with the plant powers.

Daniel Bearbaker, whatever it is.

Yeah, because she was getting through the hole.

Yeah, it was actually unexpected stuff, you know, I felt. But, you know, we'll see.

But isn't that a pretty easy fix?

You make a movie at the camp with a guy in a mask killing people, and I guess you just have to avoid name-dropping Jason Voorhees.

But that's kind of, like, the whole.

Yeah, but they own, like, the mask.

Yeah. Yeah.

Well, that's kind of what Crystal Lake is. Well, actually, I don't know. Because, yeah, Crystal Lake has Jason in there. The only thing that's not.

In Crystal Lake is the hockey mask.

Spoiler, I guess. Yeah. That doesn't make sense, actually. Crystal Lake is there. Because they did, back in the day, they did a Friday the 13th TV show. I don't know if anyone watched this. I used to watch this because it was on the Screen Network here in Canada. And it was like a Tales of The Crypt, but it was just Friday the 13th. Like, no Jason. It was just, like, spooky stories. Like, you know, Friday the Dark Goosebumps and stuff. And there's no Jason there. But, yeah, Crystal Lake does have Jason and Pamela. So, I don't know.

Who knows?

Maybe it writes.

I think they figured it out for that.

I think they did. Yeah, I think you're right. I think that's what's happening. They figured it out. So, I think they're all good now. We'll get a movie. And I'm with everybody. They should set it at Christmas. I'm, like, I'm waiting for... Well, I'm not waiting for Scream. I'm good on Scream. Like, if we start with Scream, I'm actually...

I think we can wait for another sold 15 to 20 years before we do Scream again. So that's what I'd like Friday the 13th to do. I'd like to do a winter cabin one.

Have you guys at all watched the YouTube short Friday the 13th one?

I saw it when it came out.

Have you seen it, Mike?

No, I don't think so.

I'd recommend it. It was actually pretty good.

Who did that? I was just looking up their filmography the other day.

Yeah. Yeah, because that's the guy doing the next Saw movie. Is that what it is? Yeah, because he did that.

I think you're right.

He did that remake of Deadly Night, and then he did, Taylor, your wrong turn that you didn't enjoy. How long ago was this? Maybe two years ago?

Yeah, a year or two.

Not that long ago.

Yeah, I still need to. Maybe I'll watch it before I know it. We've got a newscast this week. Taylor, have you watched the full Chandler Riggs Resident.

Evil 7 one?

Oh, yeah.

Frick.

I loved it, man.

It was so good.

Yeah, okay. I still got to check that out.

Wait, wait, wait.

Chandler Riggs. Are we talking about Coral from The Walking Dead?

Oh, Coral.

Yeah. He produced and directed Resident Evil 7. It's pretty much– because have you played the game, Mike?

I've played most of them.

Yeah, so it's– he pretty much is adapting the part where you're at the table with the family and they're eating and being gross, like very Texas Chainsaw stuff. And then him getting out of there. But, yeah, I don't know. How long is it, Taylor? Yeah, I think maybe The Garage.

Like 19 minutes, 18 minutes.

Yeah.

So I want to watch it. I forgot that it dropped. So I got to watch it because that will help me on my Resident Evil, you know, what happened with that movie. But, April, did you ever play any games? Because you said after the movie.

I have not played any of the games yet. Well, I would except the movie came out and I'm still playing Control Resident.

Oh, that's fair. Yeah, I hear nothing but great stuff about Control Resident.

Yeah.

Yeah.

No, that's good.

Too many games, too many shows, too many movies.

Oh, I know the games. I was like, I fully was planning to beat Alan Wake 2 before GTA, but then when they dropped Star Fox Adventures, which me and Dylan were talking about this week, I was like, okay, I gotta play that, so yeah, Alan Wake 2's gonna, I say it's gonna wait, I still don't want to squeeze it in, just because I don't know when, after GTA, when I'm gonna be not playing GTA, so I just don't know how long the game's gonna be and how much it's gonna take, so I don't know, I would like to get that in there, but there.

We go i do not care about gta so i will continue playing control resident probably until babel comes out so.

What about you kirkland you watch anything uh spooky this week because i know shay is a bit more picky on the spooky stuff so do you do separately or do you do you do you guys have any like spooky movies that you watch together that she like would maybe actually.

Enjoy uh.

You know it's kids spooky like halloween town i feel like we should watch that every year that that comes on yeah she always watches twilight around this time uh that's kind of spooky for me so that's hard to watch and i mean it's batman.

Not really like i feel like this season i really haven't seen anything halloweeny um Yeah, no, it's been just basically what we've been watching, like Clayface, I guess. That's kind of spooky in some aspects. I watched, what is it, Batman Forever, the one with the Riddler. I feel like that's a little Halloween-y.

When did you watch that?

The costumes and whatnot. Saturday, I had it on when I was cleaning the house.

How'd that hold up for you?

It was really fun. It's, uh, I feel like there, there's memorable scenes in there. I absolutely love the Riddler. Like that is just, it brings joy to my, to my, my existence. So that, that was great to see.

Um, those rose tinted glasses on when it comes to the Jim Carrey and the Riddler.

Yeah, absolutely. I haven't lost that yet. I mean, like Paul Dano Riddler, it's like, okay, yeah, now this is, this is like a nice serious take with the character, but I'll, I'll always love the Jim Carrey version. That's, that was my first, uh, my first exposure to that character. So that's a special place in my heart. And yeah, I think there's definitely like, you can critique that movie in many ways. I think, I think it's fair to say, but overall I, it's mostly just a nostalgic thing. Like I just remember throwing on those vhs's and uh loving loving that movie along with the other like um the other ones around that time batman robin stuff like that but yeah that now yeah i i don't know why

i like decided to put that on i just randomly saw it i'm like fuck yeah i'm just feeling this movie the weather this weekend too was kind of feeling like gotham and in some aspects i'm really digging I went for a walk this morning. I'm like, man, I just love this fall weather. This is just so amazing.

It's still 80 degrees here.

Oh, I'm so sorry.

I was in a haunted house in full wedding dress and wig, and I was sweating my ass off today. I was like, it is the end of October. This is bullshit.

Oh, no.

It was glorious here today.

Yeah, it's good weather. It's just that even last night we were talking about that because of the pumpkin walk, it started to rain, but it's the thing of you're in the big jackets, everything. So you're like getting hot, a little sweaty, but then the rain comes. So it's like perfect where it's not too cold. Just like, all right.

You got the fog around, got the, got the least turn colors. So yeah. Do you have anything that you will watch Kirkland?

I want to watch, uh, some I haven't seen in a while is trick or treat actually. I don't want to put that on.

Um, there's a new short I haven't seen yet. Animated. Oh, official oh that's.

Cool um yeah i might have checked that out too but beyond that i don't know i feel like i don't normally have like a traditional halloween something that i watch beyond like like i said already had already mentioned like halloween town i feel like i thought it was easier to pull up but it was oh nice i was wondering what you're digging for.

Nice yeah no because we have that's our our last two we got the shining which has been tonight will be our third time trying to watch it because the first night was them is like i'm kind of tired but she's like, Oh, we'd try. No, actually the first time we'll just watch it. And then I think she kind of forgot the first like half of that movie is just Jack walking through the hotel, like getting the tour.

And it's all like very quiet and soft and docile. And then she's falling asleep with him last night. She's like, okay, I'm tired, but let's try and watch some more of this. And we got about 15 minutes and we got, where did we get to? We got to, uh, Oh, I don't even... Oh, we got to when Danny's just, like, right before he's about to get to 237. Like, we're getting to him, like, strolling around. And it's, like, just before he's about to get to the really good stuff, she's, like, passing out and stuff. So tonight we're going to try again, which it is a long movie and it is slower.

But those are always, like, the must-watches. So we're going to watch that and then we'll watch Trick or Treat. We try to watch either the night before or the night of. Obviously, it's always risky because if we run out of time. But, you know, just... I'm with you, Kirkland. That's a good one. That's an old-timer. I hope we review that one day.

I watched Smile 2 yesterday night, and I'm curious because I know the first movie is kind of a sore subject amongst some people here. Of the people who've seen both of them, who here prefers the sequel to the original?

Oh, yeah. I hated the first one.

You can't get over what Naomi Scott is doing in that movie. That's like my favorite part of this.

Okay.

I agree that her performance is good. Her character annoyed the shit out of me so much that I much prefer the first movie to the second one.

Whoa, much prefer?

Yeah, I feel like the character of the first movie, you feel sympathetic for her. The jump scares are used to really get into her psyche, and you feel her stress and her anxiety, and I love that about it. And this one, I just felt like all the pop star stuff and the craziness of everything going on with her, it was just too much and just too much dream sequences.

The ending, when I saw what that was, it kind of pissed me off. I'm not going to lie. I was like, yeah, you went too far.

Yeah, a lot of people didn't like the ending, but that, I remember calling that for an entire year. The second they announced it's a pop star, I'm like, well, this is how they're going to end the movie.

Oh, no, I don't mean like the last three minutes.

I mean like what happens before that yeah basically.

Gets invalidated that pissed me.

Off yeah yeah i i was gonna say do you feel at least if you don't like her do you feel like it's better directed than the first one oh.

Yes yeah yeah i was gonna say yeah the the camera work the the drone stuff the one take out all that is good it really just is and it was a little bit too long for for what we.

Got yeah it's funny because that's how i feel um i don't know minor spoilers the the commentary tracks up early for patrons it'll drop on halloween I don't think Kirkland's going to be checking out Terrifier 3. But that's how I feel about Terrifier 3. And watching it for Christmas. Yeah, we'll do a Christmas. We'll put that on the extra life unlocked here. But that's how I feel about Terrifier 3.

Because I know why people like Terrifier 1 and 2. I get it. I can see the audience. And I can appreciate the spirit of it. But I never really enjoyed those movies. Other than like, okay, this is like, Art's a very fun character. But 3 was like, oh, he's like... Damon and Leon's really evolved and stepped up, and it feels like this is way better. Obviously, they had a better budget, but just little choices and camera movements and stuff, it felt better, and that's why I feel a smile on one and a smile on two.

Smile on one, it's funny. I remember because me and Taylor, I think Taylor liked it a little bit more, but when we saw it in the theaters, I hated that movie. When I re-watched it, I didn't hate it, so I don't know if it's just being in the theater, and there's so many jumpscares and smiles, and not in the good way. It's just like the music, the audio is just turn to the max every time it happens and in the theaters it was a terrible experience so at home wasn't as bad but um i don't think you're necessarily wrong mike about her being a terrible character but um.

Great suzy bacon's pretty good in the first one too you know she gives a yeah she.

Is yeah i really like.

Naomi scott i never understood where it's like okay like aladdin wasn't the greatest movie but if like everyone left that movie like oh this person's playing jasmine she's really good And I guess Charlie's Angels happened, but nothing, like, yeah, like, she went away for a little bit, and then Smile 2.

I remember it was small, but people were like, oh, like, could we push Dominic for an Oscar? Like, she's such a great performance. And then again, like, there's nothing massively booked. Like, I feel like it's, rarely does that happen twice.

It's the Jane Levy effect.

Yeah, Jane Levy. Like, it's not like, um, with, um, how the fuck do you, it's Dacre, Dackery Montgomery, the guy from Jackery. Is it?

It's Dacre.

It's Dacre. That's what it is. Yeah.

I watched a video of him pronouncing it. It's Dacre. That's how he pronounces it.

Yeah.

I trust you. I just feel like I said it so many different ways.

No, she's right.

Because Emily corrects me all the time. But you get times like that where, okay, after Stranger Things, he's blowing up and then nothing happens.

That I get.

But with Naomi Scott, it's like twice where that's happened, where it's like two big moments where it's like, okay, after Smile 2, clearly... someone's going to go out of their way and, like, give her some stuff. And I don't know if she's still acting, but, I mean, like, it just hasn't.

Clearly it was that Power Rangers movie that they were both in.

Well, yeah, that was Connecting Force. Yeah, maybe that could have been it, and that wasn't it either. But, like, why has she got booked up right now? Taylor, is she still on your superhero list, or did you finally drop her? I can't remember.

Oh, maybe I didn't.

I feel like you always think you're going to, and then when it comes to crunch time, you're like, ah, well, because after Smile 2, you're like, ah, I'm back. She's not doing anything.

Are they making Smile 3? Is that guy doing another one?

He's making another movie called Possess, Possession?

I think Possessor.

Is he doing the remake?

He's doing the remake, yeah. No, it's Possession.

Possessor is a great, great, great movie.

Right, that's a great movie, yeah. That's the one back in the day, I can't remember the actress' name, but with Sam Neill. I'd love to watch that with Taylor, because he's a Sam Neill guy. The original's a fucked up movie. That's a gross fucking... It's a weird-ass movie. Mark Wally's gonna fucking kill it in that movie. That's fantastic casting. Cal Turner's Cal Turner. Again, I always say about him, clearly, because who he's married to, he's a very charismatic guy, he just doesn't bring it on camera.

He uses all the charisma off-camera, and then on-camera, it's just not around. The movie will.

Still probably be good, because she's the important one.

Yeah, and it's Passon's production company producing, because I remember I think there was kind of a rumor if Batman didn't get going, he was going to play the Sam Neill role, which don't get me wrong, I want Batman 2.

Wow, that would have been fucking wild.

Him and Cole in that movie together, that would have been fucking wild, but obviously Batman 2 takes precedence, but yeah, he's producing that.

What a fucking drop-off from him to Callum Turner.

Yeah, it's... Again, I'm waiting. I know he has that movie. There's a show coming out on Apple. Does anyone know the name of it? It's a sci-fi show. He's not fully Blade Runner, but Blade Runner-esque.

Is it The Neuromancer?

Yes, he's starring in that.

Oh, The Neuromancer, yeah.

Yeah, is it a book or what is it based on?

Oh, yeah, it's a very beloved sci-fi book.

It's like a bunch of cyberpunks.

Okay, so yeah, you talked to me about books that you're at the wrong.

It is the cyberpunk novel. It invented everything you've seen and everything else.

So that's what, like, when does that come out? January, I think. Oh, really?

January?

Because that's my hope, is that he just, like, kills it in this fucking show.

Apple TV has a pretty damn good quality of the show, so I think you can guess that.

So I'm just hoping, because, like, I was that, there's a couple people, like, I was that way with Sebastian Stan. Like, to me, until some, like, or until, like, Falconware Soldier, I think Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes was just, like, fine. I don't think he brought anything into that role. He was just kind of there, and then finally in the show he had, like, some, like, obviously because it was his show along with Sam's, but finally, like, okay, same thing, like, Manny, I know he's your boy, but Josh Hartnett, I don't like his younger stuff. I don't like him really at all, but Ben in this era, like, the last five years, I think he's fantastic. It's just so, that's where I'm not opposed to Calum Turner, like, turning the corner. I

just haven't, like, they keep putting him in stuff, and every time I see it, it's just like, there's something missing there. I don't know what it is, but.

After, we just talked about it, after Pattinson went from Edward Cullen in Twilight to now being the Batman, that, you cannot get a bigger career shift than that, in my opinion.

Yeah, at least for me.

But he felt bad in Twilight.

Oh i don't know about that he's not bad i probably have to rewatch them to do that and i don't want to i don't know if anyone's good in twilight like they're they're all they they all are it all seems like it's like they give them one take and that's no one seems like that's the rehearsal and like yeah we'll just keep that that's a good enough take and let's just go plus isn't.

Like no one hates twilight more than robert pattinson.

Yeah, he does.

And Kristen Stewart, I think.

Yeah, somehow. But I passed him just because I had seen him in good times before, or good time. I was on board for Batman, so I had seen some stuff, but.

Yeah, he worked his way to earning that spot.

Oh, 100%.

Yeah, Neuromaster doesn't have too many other known people. You have Pierce Skarsgård, Hector Hammond, and then Calin Turner, and then just like a bunch more new actors. So I'm hoping that shows great, but yeah, before we move on, Maddie, I gotta ask you, what are your What are your thoughts on these bond lists going on, these final three?

We've got a mystery person, so it could be anybody, right? Apparently it's not Jacob Lurie and Jack O'Connell, unless someone's pulling some Tom Fuller. But what do you feel? I'll pull up the list, because I was going to talk to Kirkland about this, too, at some point. But I'm going to bring it up now. But what do you think, Maddie?

I was about to bring it up because we were just talking about Callum Turner, and I don't see it, man. I guess it's possible, but I'm confident that it's.

Not going to be him. I don't know.

He looks the most like Bond, I think.

Right, but that's why I feel like it's just a very easy, trendy pick.

You also got to act, though, too.

It's tough to pick between those three. I don't know if I prefer him over Jack Loudon, to be honest.

Do you watch Soul Houses?

I just binged all the seasons.

Of it, yeah. Okay, so that's it.

Well, how is it?

I think you're the only person I know that's watched it, and you're like, yeah, it shouldn't be Jack. I thought it would be the opposite, where it would be like, oh, he's great, but you're like, no, it shouldn't be Jack. I was like, oh, okay.

It's because the character he plays in that show, part of that show is it's a show about a bunch of James Bond-type spies who fucked up in some way, and so that's why they're all, and they know too much to be fired. So they all put him in like the reject spy department. And so part of the whole gimmick of the show is that he thinks that he's like the suave, cool James Bond type, but he's really just a fuck up. And so seeing him in that show, it's kind of maybe he could completely change like his whole way of being for actual Bond. But seeing him in the slow horses mode, it's like it's going to be hard to see him actually do James Bond seriously after that.

Yeah.

It's almost like someone doing a parody of that role. And then not like Mike Myers would ever play James Bond. And I know it's not that at level, but like you rarely get that, right? You usually feel like someone's playing the comedic version of something or the serious version of it. Like, I guess the only, not the only time I'm sure it's happened, but the first one that comes to mind, I don't know why, but it's Tom Cruise doing night and day when he, cause that's kind of like a spoo, like not a spoof, but it's him playing off of Ethan Hunt. And it's like, he's a spy and it's like, but it's very comedic and he's, like it's very tongue-in-cheek so that's the only one i can think of i'm sure there's more out there but.

Man give me josh o'connor man give it i know you i know you guys said you i'm so fucking down let's go interesting um.

No so i i've said this like i will try like No matter what, it's Denis Villeneuve.

You like Josh. Come on, man.

Yeah, sure.

I like Josh. I don't like him as Bond. I like myself. I don't like myself as Bond. I'm British. I have every right. I could audition for Bond if I want. I just gotta work my accent, but I'm I don't know what percentage British. It's like over 40 or something like that. I don't know.

But how often do we see like, and you actually see it that they should start by just getting an awesome actor and you're questioning Callum for that, for that same reason.

Yes.

A hundred percent. But that's the thing. If that's where it's like, if it's just these three, then yes, of course. I'm saying like, this is the three we got. Jack, I can't say anything about because this is in the discord. I've never seen him act. For me, it's just the surprising of like, like I said, by the time this movie comes out, he's gonna be like 40. And I just feel like the point of getting a new bond is to try and get a guy that's going to be around for the next 12 to 15 years. And maybe he could be, but like, that was the thing with Craig. It felt like, Oh, cause he was getting near like close to 50. We got to replace him.

And maybe that's, I guess it depends how quickly they make these movies. I don't know. I really don't.

Right.

It's going to be like, they'll make this. And then every two years they'll start making a ball on movie. Then it's not as bad, but the Craig movie had some like long breaks between them.

Right.

So I don't know how it's going to work with Amazon, but yeah. So like, don't get me wrong, man on this list. count terms like easily like the he's he's the bottom like no no matter i i'm taking josh every day of the week i'm sure even the mystery person i would take over that and again yeah it's coming the acting but yeah i think i just go jack is the look but yeah i don't know i can't i just i would trust the knee because i think he's doing something different then but i just no negative 100 for bond aura when i look at josh o'connor i just don't.

But these three are similar ages. None of these three guys. I feel like they're all, what, mid to late 30s?

I think Callum is, like, earlier 30s.

Yeah, I think he's the youngest. Well, he's 36, so.

Actually he's really young.

Jack Lowe's actually 36.

Josh is probably the same exact thing.

And he's 36. Oh, my God. They're all 36. And it's almost like you had the hot 20-year-old right there in Jacob Elordi. who just would have been perfect, perfect age, everything like that. He's too tall. Doesn't matter. Conor is Scottish. You know, he was.

Scottish is closer than Australian.

I guess I don't understand when people bring up, why does it matter if he's tall? Like, why does the height matter?

I don't know.

I just saw that argued online. It made me laugh a lot.

Tom Cruise is short.

Tom Cruise is short.

I also don't care about Bond, but.

Yeah, of course. Yeah, it's just like... I just couldn't see the 6'5 guy. It's just like... I don't know, like... it's the same thing. Yeah, I guess. But that's the thing. It's like, they always cast guys that stand out. I know they talk about it. It's like Daniel Craig and Pierce Bronson walk in a room with some good looking guys.

And I guess that's the point. If you're going to the books and maybe that's where Josh O'Connor fits. I just would, I don't know. I'll, I'll trust the knee that they, um, that's what they wanted you. I know there was a report put out by a, I'll say like a B tier scooper that one of the hangups was that Amazon actually won a Lordy, but Denise didn't.

And they were kind of like weighing back and forth about like, well, you know, he's directing, but he's going to be gone after this. It's our franchise. But then I think they still like went with what Denis wanted. But yeah, so I yeah, that's why I'm going to trust in Denis or whoever this fourth person is. It could be. And I don't know who that is.

And I'm with you. I'm still kind of down for a no name also. I'm totally down for that.

I'm kind of surprised it is like, even like, again, Craig had some stuff going on, but I'm surprised it's not no name. It's always been that. But I guess, again, that shows the maybe Amazon footprint, right. Of, Hey, we want, we want somewhat of a name, you know, and if you're going by name power, I'd say Joshua Connors, easily the biggest name out of these two challengers and knives out and just disclosure day.

Like, yeah.

Did anybody see mastermind? Probably not.

I don't know. What is that?

He plays like the world's worst art thief. It's pretty good.

Josh O'Connor?

Yeah. Oh. He's good now. I've liked him in everything I've seen him in.

Is it like comedic?

A little bit, but like a soft, dry.

Okay. Yeah.

Dark and dry. You're definitely laughing at him, not with him.

Thank God.

He thinks he's great.

I pull up this poster and I was like, what are they talking about here? But it is for a movie poster called Mastermind, so it's not the same movie. Hang on, let me pull this up here.

Bank robbery movie, I think, right?

I don't know.

This is with Zach Albinac. Oh, yeah. At first, I'm like, what do you mean this is what he's in? You can't even tell me this is what he's great in here. What about you, Kirkland? You love some James Bond. How do you feel about those three that we're talking about?

Uh.

None are like really, I don't know, my S tier, like what I would have imagined. Not that I really had anyone in mind. So I think I would side. Yeah, I mean, come on. He's the hot name. Out of those three, I'd probably go Josh, honestly. I just feel like, I mean, I don't have much experience with the other ones.

But out of him, like he's at least fun to watch. So like, and pairing with Denis, like maybe... Travis, you're saying maybe, like, he doesn't have that James Bond aura. Trust in Denis, maybe he gives him that aura, you know?

Yeah.

Maybe after that role, he'll come out and just, you'll be looking at him differently. But I think out of all those options, I'd probably just hope that there maybe is a no-name that I haven't heard of that's just, like, even better of a casting if I have that option. But if I'm forced to pick one of those three, I'd definitely side with Josh.

Mm-hmm.

I was going to say that, but he's gone.

Oh, there he is.

Oh, he's back. I thought you said the room was safer, Taylor. You've been gone twice now.

It's still before kids' bedtime. I still got to go.

You got to put more logs on the fire.

Yeah. What's Madison doing down there?

Well, now she's chilling because the kids are down.

She's got her headphones on.

She's been chilling the whole time. Taylor, take care of the kids. Taylor, you were with me. You weren't feeling the Josh O'Connor Bond vibes.

Uh, Josh O'Connor, no, no, he looked just too young, too, like, yeah, college, college graduate looking for his first job, like, at a desk job kind of thing.

What if this is supposed to be very young Bond?

Could be an origin.

But he's, did you hear he's 36 years old?

He's 36?

What the fuck?

Good age, or good genes.

Good genes, um, hmm.

Yeah, I'm not really feeling it, like, to have Bond super, super young. I like an old Bond that's just suave and just charismatic, you know?

I think he could be that. I think you guys are underestimating him.

Taylor wants more of a Henry Cavill type of guy right now.

I think Cavill's a little too old.

Henry Cavill, I wouldn't say he's too old, but he's just like.

Is he that much older than 36?

36? I think he's close to 50.

The Man from U.N.C.L.E., he was fantastic in that. Actually, I really liked him in that movie.

That was a long time ago. He's 43, actually, so.

Guy Ritchie movie he just did. Ungentlemanly Warfare. A League of Ungentlemanly.

What was that movie?

The Nazi one.

I like that one. Richeson, and they're all fighting and everything.

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

That one's fun.

There's a time. We messed up on Henry Cavill. I think if Craig... Didn't take so long. I think they would have– because Craig was the runner-up. It was– because I can't remember who the three were. It was him, Daniel Craig, and somebody else that were the final three for Bond back then. I'll look it up in a second. But, yeah, Henry Cavill was really– because there's screen tests out there and everything. Even Anthony Starr, he screen tested for it.

He never screen tested for it, but they did ask Hugh Jackman, and he turned them down. They asked Hugh Jackman at the same time he was doing Wolverine. And at the same time, Marvel Studios actually asked him to do Iron Man as well. So he could have been super greedy and just accepted all those. They didn't care that he was already Wolverine. Like, yeah, we'll just make you Iron Man as well. He could have been Wolverine, Iron Man, and fucking James Bond all at the same time.

He would have been, like, just rolling in it.

Now he'd be doomed, so.

Oh, my God. He'd be Wolverine and doomed at the same time.

And Iron Man. He got all three of them. Yeah.

Okay.

So a quick question about Josh and Bond. What if, let's say the Craig movies, I don't know what you guys would rate them in terms of like seriousness and comedy, maybe like, well.

Like 80, 20, 90 to 10. I'd say 70, 30.

I think there's some stretches like when he's in Q Branch, that's just all comedy, right? And some of the stuff with the ladies.

So with Josh, let's say they go, they lean more that route of like, they go 60, 40 with it and make it more, just a slightly less serious as the Craig ones and a little more, not lighthearted, but, you know, I don't know, just less dour and a little more comedy.

And you think Denise is going to do that?

No, I'm just asking, like, let's say they chose to do that.

As long as they don't go full Roger Moore, that's the limit for me.

Yeah, once you go.

Roger Moore, you never go back. Yeah, I think you got to find, like, I would like a, like, It's kind of like what I said about the Joker. I would like a balance of getting some of the lightheartedness and the gadgets back. Because, again, I grew with the Pierce era. So I really love those movies. Obviously, they get to a point where Die Another Day is... Roger Moore but like with a bigger budget so it's like that's that's not good but um.

The script is written by uh Stephen Knight and he's pretty uh serious too.

So yeah but if you have logged the mastermind I said I watched it I said oh okay.

Josh is my guy that's right Josh is his guy it's like a Sam Reed was up for fucking bond right now but yeah he's the guy he's for sure the guy.

We all have those ones, but... Yeah, he's Australian, so no, I'm still hoping James Gunn just randomly sees a fucking episode of Nightmare or Interview the Vampire, because they said... This week, Batman's supposed to be early 40s. Sam Reed's fucking like 41, 42. This guy's fucking chiseled out of stone.

He can do anything. I've pitched he could play Batman and Joker at the same time. Get an actor two for one. Just easy. Kirk, are you watching more Interview with the Empire yet? No.

I haven't seen any of that.

You and Chris Baga are frozen. At least Chris got to season two. He's been frozen there for a while. It's slow.

It's slow watches.

I keep going.

It just gets better.

It's late at night, and then I'm getting droopy-eyed, and then I'm like, I can't focus on this right now. So I do want to get through it.

I'm not in a rush. You've got to be in a rush. Taylor, when are you watching Lestat?

Well, I've done the first episode, but I'm just saving that AMC subscription, right? Because I get all of them for the binge watch. So I put it off because it's Halloween month, and I've just been watching Halloween stuff. I know it's vampires, but I just feel like I want to just... I got seven free days, you know, that trial, and I got to indulge in it when...

When I don't have anything else kind of happening. So I'm going to do that once Halloween's over. And so, okay, Christmas movies aren't starting yet. I just got this grace period here.

So let's just do it.

Do it before the 22nd because in Canada, AMC Plus is no longer going to have Shudder and Sundance. So if you get AMC Plus. Yeah, we got that email.

That sucks.

Yeah, and I was like, why else would I subscribe to AMC when Vampire's not on? But Taylor, the cycle is on Shudder, and that's where you can watch it. I'm saying in that seven days, you've got to watch it there. So do it before November 22nd, because Shudder's going away. Vampire will still be there, but... Okay. Yeah, so...

The other third one.

I think that'll be a tonight thing.

But then you have to do the subscription that you said you were saying after Halloween.

Can you still get Shudder? You just have to get it separately?

Yeah, you have to pay a set. But right now, the seven-day trial he would get, you get AMC Plus and Shudder for free for a whole week.

I might have a separate free trial for Shudder, though.

I'll take a look.

They used to spam those.

Yeah, you used to be able to get them constantly.

He did the email thing for me.

A lot of horror podcasts get codes for them.

Yes.

Yeah.

No, I just kept AMC Plus this whole month because they had so many. We were watching through all the Halloweens, and I don't own them all. Like, I'm not going to own, like, Halloween. I'm not owning the Carissa Michael Myers. But I didn't mind watching it again. So that's where I was like, okay, we'll watch all these. And there's tons of stuff. And Shudder's always popping off. April, have you not watched Howl Warrior yet?

I have not. I hadn't heard of it until you brought it up the other day.

What's your elevator pitch for that?

It's Halloween Home Alone rated R.

Okay.

And it's on Shudder?

I think it's on Shudder. I think it's a Shudder movie. It's a girl from Hereditary. It's just that she says it all in the first five minutes. It's a post-apocalyptic world. This is her fourth Halloween alone and every year she leaves out candy just hoping someone's going to come out. Just that there's anyone alive out there that's going to take it. And then of course someone that takes candy.

Are they trustworthy? I don't know. 89% Rotten Tomatoes.

I don't know how I missed that.

Just me? No, I'm kidding. I think it's Shudder. It's Shudder.

It is.

I don't know how I missed it, but I'll watch it tomorrow.

Let's see. 19 reviews only, Mike. It was an average of 6.10, but I will admit, that's where I'd say, like, for me, the cycle is that movie where I'm going to go around telling everyone, like, oh, you gotta watch it. How Warrior, I'm not telling everyone, I think April really enjoyed it. I think mileage may vary for some people, but for me, it was great Howling vibes, like the color grading, like like what kirk was just talking about the fall colors that's what how warrior like hits perfectly and it's like it's like a lower budget so their post-apocalyptic stuff is not like outrageous but i also appreciate that there's not a moment where she looks over there's just like a bad cgi field it's like clearly they've

like found like a house in a yard and they're like okay we'll add like a broken car there and we'll do that there and it's just uh yeah it's it's fun they capture the halloween vibes even though there's not a single soul like alive in the city so it's a It's a fun watch. It's a good one.

While I've got you both, Travis, April, how far are you in American Horror Story 13? I think.

I'm caught up. Pretty sure I'm caught up.

What do you think?

Every time I ask myself why I'm still watching. I'm like, what am I doing to myself?

I clocked out at the episode where they brought Kathy Bates back. And again, when they burnt her and she ate herself. and she said it's finger-lickin' good, I can't do it.

The dialogue is like, who the hell wrote this down and thought this was a good idea?

And I checked.

Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk only wrote the first episode. The rest of the season is written by these two random guys I never heard of before, and they do not know how to capture that voice.

I hate when they do. I don't like... And that's why I hate to say that. I'm not going to say it forever, but I do really feel like I am done with Ryan Murphy for a while because I feel like they do that as a way to get you in because, oh, yeah, Ryan's back. He's directing the season. And then the show, and you can tell, this series, it feels like a parody of, if they were to say, it's like that Sons of Anarchy show they're making where it's going to be there at a Comic-Con signing stuff, and then all goes to shit. They have to kind of play their Sons of Anarchy characters, but they're like Charlie Hunnam and Ron Perlman. That's cool. If they're doing that with American Horror Story, then I guess like, oh,

they went to some convention. They're playing their characters and all the shit. But it's like, no, they're trying to get serious.

And I finish every episode of them. I'm like, what did we accomplish here? It's like simultaneously. We didn't accomplish anything, but I feel like so much random shit happened that. it's hard to keep track. It's just all over the place.

And there was some dumbass reveal this week, and I'm like, first of all, it's the stupidest thing, the twins thing. And secondly, I want to go back and watch the old shows now to see if the math even works on that.

No, it doesn't.

Because I feel like it doesn't.

Because I watch Covenant, and even then, they're like, yeah, Jessica Lange, what's her... What's a witch from her name? What's her name again?

Fiona?

Fiona, yeah. They're like, oh, yeah, she's never coming back. She's in hell. She's stuck there forever.

Everybody comes back.

You just got to call Papa or whatever, and then they're all back. You don't even know.

Recently, they just found a way to just spam, like, anyone in hell, just come on back in. Don't worry. It's an open door.

Oh, good.

Yeah.

I don't think it would be this, so I'm not that worried. But when I watch the show, I go, man– This is what gives me nightmares, like what Doomsday could be. You know, like when they bring back all these characters, and it's super messy.

I don't think it's going to be that.

I don't think it's going to be that, but that season just feels like everyone, like, they got a paycheck, and they just got there on the day.

I think Peter's just been in like three episodes only. Oh, is he done now?

After they killed off the Vincent Price knockoff guy?

Well, I haven't watched the most, the last one I saw was the Madison one, so I haven't watched.

The one after that. He's an HH Holmes knockoff, to start with.

Yeah yeah yeah oh i i love that character that character is the best it was the best thing that's vincent price as well then.

You know it's a voice and everything but yeah that was my accountant man yeah exactly.

He built a hotel to kill me like he's an hh.

Home saga but i feel like a lot of the characterization is vincent price like the way he like He makes his faces and everything.

The transatlantic accent, yeah.

Yeah, yeah, it feels like it's a combo of those two.

And you had him, it was a whole episode, all he's doing is just playing piano. Like, you got Evan Peters, there's that character. Use him, make him do something fun, come on.

Walking around in a gimp suit for no reason for the whole first episode, like, so I guess you know who he is.

Most of the time that's not actually him because they're, they accidentally, yeah, they deleted it. But one of the photo bursts when they were promoting the show, they put out that elevator shot of all them together. And it was a guy in the gym suit. It wasn't Evan Peters. They delete the photo, but it was like, whoever was playing the gym suit guy, which also makes sense. Cause the gym suit guy has to have like the body of like a 17 year old. And Peters is not 17 anymore, you know, close to that. But yeah. Talk about another guy whose career is like, just been mismanaged for day for years. For his entire career, you know, like it's the same thing. Quicksilver, that big scene. Oh, that's going to be it. No. American Horror Story is Tate. Oh,

that's that's going to be it.

No.

Mayor of Easttown. He wins an Emmy. Oh, that's this is going to be it. No. Dahmer. No, there's a guy. He there's a he's got four times where he could have broke out and he's just.

Why would you when you're getting paid by Ryan Murphy?

Yeah, he's in Tron Ares or whatever, you know?

Oh, he was in that, wasn't he? Yeah, he was at Dakota. And what's her name? Madeline Pesh from Riverdale? She was on five fucking seconds of the show for some reason.

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

And she got so mistreated in the Strangers movies, too.

Yeah, like, fire your agent, girl.

She's just doing someone a favor at this point with the Ryan Murphy stuff.

She was legitimately great in Riverdale.

I was like, certainly she's going to come back. No, she didn't.

There's still time. There's still time. I know.

I don't think so.

I don't think she will.

Yeah. So, no, I felt disappointed because I watched, you know, I watched one and then season three and I got a little caught up. But yeah, I don't know if I'm going to finish.

It also just feels cheap. Like, correct me if I'm wrong, but I feel like they've only filmed in like three or four locations the whole season.

Yeah.

And these episodes are like, some of them are like MCU style, like 24 minutes. And it's like, I don't know. And they got renewed. Yeah, it's like... Yeah, I think in the era that they've been doing the American Horror Stories of like the... Because where does it even show now?

On Disney +.

Because it used to be on FX, right?

Yeah, in Canada it's Disney +.

It's FX on Hulu.

Is FX still like a channel in the US?

Yeah.

I don't think it just airs on it though. It just airs on Hulu, I think.

But is Hulu a channel?

Now Hulu is a streaming service?

Well, because I thought that it was on a channel and then on the streaming service the next day.

I think it does still play on FX.

Does it?

I think it's still on FX, yeah. I'm not sure.

Some of the excess stuff does, and some of it's just on Hulu.

In the era that they've been doing the American Horror Story, like dropping online, this was like the biggest numbers they've had, according to them. So it's like, which it makes sense.

Well, I mean, they got Jessica Lange and Angela Bassett back, like... I get it, but.

Yeah, and even Paulson, she took a break for a while.

I'm pretty sure it's like a tax scam at this point. They're just.

A hundred percent. Yeah, I think so.

They're all just taking big... It's an Adam Sandler movie at this point. They're laundering all his friends.

Yeah. Before I close this tab, Maddie, I found out the other third person that was up for Bond in the Craig era was Sam Worthington. That was the other runner-up.

Oh, no.

So it was Cavill, Craig, and Worthington. Those were the three. And then other people that were talked about was Rupert Friend, Anthony Starr, Clive Owen, David Tannehill, Jackman, Michael Fassbender, who that's another guy I really wish played Bond because he's– I get to scratch and itch a little bit in the agency, which has the agency been renewed for season three yet? I need to know because it's a good spy show, but I don't think anyone watches it because I said the agency and no one knows what I'm talking about.

I know what it is.

I haven't seen it.

Yeah.

Not been renewed. That's not great. It premiered in June season two. So it's not looking good for me. It's him. It's Jeffrey, right? It's there's somebody else that's of note. Um, crap. I don't know who it is, but, uh, it's a, it's a good little show. It's a good, like it's, it's much more like Tinker Taylor soldier spy type of spy stuff. Not like him, like running across buildings, but, uh.

It's okay.

You know what?

You'll have Dexter next weekend.

Oh, fuck.

Yeah.

That's next weekend. How we need. Yeah. Well, yeah. Like we said, we're, we're going to stick with it as much as we can, but we'll see.

Cause like, Oh, you've got to make reviews for that. Those reviews are so funny.

The only problem though, is with them is there's the, the, they have a, cause we looked at this one of the episode drops or was that at a different time?

I thought it was like the Christmas one.

Yeah.

Or maybe, maybe they changed the day.

I know it goes all the way into the finale is January 4th or something like that.

Okay. They might've changed the day then. Cause at one point, Oh no, no, they didn't. Yeah. That's the problem. It's yeah. Cause the problem is one of these episodes comes out on Christmas and then the other episode comes out on new years. And that's where for us, it's like, and that's like a, yeah, I don't know. Cause it's, so it's eight January 4th. So yeah, then I don't know.

I'm hoping they do some double drops. Cause yeah, I know what the fuck they think they're doing dropping an episode of Dexter on Christmas when Harry Potter is going to be out. That's what people are going to be watching. I like Dexter and all, but no one's watching, hey, family, let's gather around and watch Dexter Resurrection Season 2. I'm going to make my family do that. We're watching the low point of Dexter years and we're cashing.

In on it. Just kidding.

They don't let me have the remote.

Even if we don't review it like we're going to start reviewing it weekly but if we drop off at some point we'll do like a binge review yeah because you know we have to.

We'll see how they assassinate the character of Quinn this time.

Oh yeah you got that you got is anyone watching Blade Runner in November? binge drop?

It's going to be a no for me you can.

Watch it but I don't know when no.

Blade Runner guy Matty?

I actually love the original. I'm not high on it, honestly. I've seen it, but it doesn't do much for me. But I love 2049. But I don't know. I don't watch many shows. I'll make some exceptions for some miniseries here and there.

But I don't know.

The trailers didn't really do much for me.

I feel like you've been watching more shows lately. Look at Crystal Lake. You watched Lanterns, which I feel like I never heard your final take on that, Matty. Do you finish Lanterns or did you fall off?

Yeah, yeah. It was a solid 8 out of 10.

98 on 10. I didn't like love, love, love it. But I mean, I love the, you know, the, the actors in the roles.

I thought they were great. Even the other minor characters, but it was, it was solid. I enjoyed it.

Yeah.

Down for more. Jon Stewart's my guy, man. And Pierre.

Actually, shout out to Clay, because he's been calling him as Bond for a while, and I would fucking love that. I was always on the Elordi train, but man, I would settle for... pierre any day of the week especially over even over josh over those other three guys i would take that all day yeah he's.

Kind of my man crush now they're in pierre not gonna lie.

Yeah man great he'd use that accent too like oh yeah it would have been yeah i i agree pair would have been fantastic but that means.

He would have been john stewart uh james bond and mufasa that's like a great trio.

Of characters yeah does he sing that song too.

Hell yeah he does nice.

What's predictions for who he's gonna play in star wars.

What do you guys what kind of character is he does he have makeup.

Is it just him like what are you guys what are you guys uh envisioning.

He's gonna what is he in starfighter.

Yeah yeah he's kind of like simon peg's war who's that what's his name taylor what's his name ankar ankar plot yeah yeah you're very quiet. Are you, like, whispering in the bedroom? Is there another person in the room?

No, no.

This is my normal voice.

Okay, I'm turning you up. You're very quiet there. Cool portions. Yeah, because I don't think we ever talked about it on a cast. I mean, just, like, time passed. But I think the room... I think Miyagoff's supposed to be a potential... sith that she's a baddie yeah she's bad right i think she's like this which i think is great we never got like a female live action so i think there's some cool stuff there i don't know because i think who was there's someone else in there who's like an older cast member not pierre oh it's smith he's supposed to be playing some like warlord or something like that and mia goth is like his darth maul like i don't think he's a jedi like he has no force powers whatsoever but she's gonna be like his hired

gun but has the fours So I don't know where Pierre fits in there. My, like, fingers crossed would be, like, I would love it if he's just, like, a Jedi at, like, the Rey camp. So, like, he could, like, continue on in the future. Because, you know, we never got, like, a big Jack Jedi. So let's see that. But that's kind of my hope. But my worry is he's going to have, like, some fucking super smart role where Ryan Gossam just bitches him out and then, like, has a.

comedic one-liner and they move on to the next thing.

I could see him being like Ryan Gosling's old starfighter friend who he has to go to to get a ship or something like that.

That's what I was feeling.

Not a Jedi, but a guy they run into and have to collaborate with and he helps them out or something.

Something like that.

Am I wrong in that report was saying that she fights another Jedi, right? Because of the Tom Cruise thing? I think that's what the working theory is that If Gosling has this kid and he's trying to get him to somewhere, which I guess we would probably assume is Rey, that there's the Mia Goth character trying to intercept them.

And then there's also like a Jedi that is with the Rey camp trying to intercept them. So that's why I think some people jump to that. Who else on this cast could be a... like a Jedi, like one that's fighting Mia Goth, which, hey.

I'm fucking down. I'm down, though. That's cool.

Mia Goth, Sith user, and then, like, you know, Darkseid user, then Aaron Pierre, Lightseid user, Lightseid about. That sounds great, because I just don't know if there's anybody else on the cast that could be another Lightseid user.

That'd be cool. I'm so down.

Unless it's Amy Adams.

Hmm.

Not as hyped, but, yeah, that'd be.

Like in a sense of like she like fights them off to like so Ryan Goss get out of there because I think there's rumors she has the force I think there's some scuttlebutt around that too so so Tom.

Cruise filmed Aaron Pierre with a fucking lightsaber let's go.

Oh let's get Aaron Pierre and Top Gun 3 you know that's what we need oh hell yeah let's see there's what.

About you though Taylor what's your you liked Aaron Pierre and Lanterns what's your and you're a big Star Wars guy so what's your What's.

Your prediction on who you see, who he is, or what kind of character?

Oh, I feel like they could slop him into an alien costume for sure. I feel like Aaron's probably just like, yeah, man, put me in that suit, and they're just going to do him.

He's top build and mine to be. Look, he's over Goss. Can you imagine Goss actually dies act one and it's secretly a Pierre with the kid movie?

I'm so done. I'm actually done. Yeah, that'd be great.

That would be very funny.

Can you imagine that?

People's heads exploding online.

Oh, I know.

I'd be like, I wish I took that pizza bet with Maddie, you know? If Gosselin dies for a sack, that's definitely making the rounds.

It's still on the board, man. It's still on the board.

He's busy with ghost writers, so they gotta knock him off.

Yeah.

Brian Cranston in that fucking Godzilla movie.

Let's revisit it, Travis. What are you thinking?

You had the bet at 500, right? Live on air.

Live on air.

Yeah, you had it at 500, though? 500 mil, yeah.

It's going to do 500 mil.

You think it's going to do 500, Taylor?

I think it will. This doesn't have the Mando Grogu vibe to me. I know I was wrong with my bet without thinking of billions.

I actually shouldn't listen to you.

This just feels different. It has different energy.

It feels like nothing. We've seen nothing. We've seen a photo of Gosselin. And a kid behind him.

And we got the teaser. The leaked teaser.

We don't have the teaser.

That trailer better be good.

We don't have it.

I feel like I need to see a trailer before I make any decisions like that. I'm already regretting my Narnia bet. God damn.

Oh, you're cooked on that, yeah. Yeah, you're cooked on Narnia.

2034.

That trailer came out, and then, like, the week after, it was like, yeah, all the... Greta and Netflix execs aren't getting along because of Narnia. She won't even speak to Dan Lin anymore. It was like, oh, yeah, I got this in the bag. Like, she... This movie... I think it's just a question of not if. It's when does she make the Barbie deal? And I bet that she– I think she's probably trying to hope to make it before because if it's after, they're definitely going to be like, yeah, we're going to pay you a little less.

We saw it happen. I don't think that trailer left a good first impression for people that aren't already hooked into this. February– Can be good, but it can be bad.

I don't know.

That's, um, like I'll be there. I'm taking the kids and they'll be, and they'll be a good bro. I'm going to see like, okay, what do you, I'm not even going to show them the other movies too. I'm going to like going with an open page. Okay. This is, you know, someone like, you know, Harry Potter, magical. Let's see what they think. But, uh, and just wait, you know, this is.

Lord of the Rings for kids.

And they'll be like, what? oh we're talking about this today and for some reason logan just like i think it's because maybe she's like a little scared of the rings we saw in theater but we're talking about what we're gonna watch so harry parr soon lower the rings it's weird i go what do you mean weird she's like that's just weird and you're like you watch harry parr like a lot of people like that yeah i know it's just weird and like okay she would not give she would not give me any examples she's just like going on that and then emily butted in she's like well some people can think it's weird and stuff so tell.

You to appreciate this.

We watched the first Hobbit, and I think they did enjoy that. And then they kind of trailed off on the sequel for the Hobbit, and we never went back. So they definitely were not as invested.

Watch the animated one.

I don't want to watch the animated one. Wait. That one's actually good. It's the fucking Last.

Of the Rings movie. Yeah, you don't want to watch it. Yeah. Oh, the animated Hobbit from the 80s.

Return of the King, Travis.

Yeah, Return of the King sucks big time.

When there's a whip, there's a way.

When there's a whip, there's a way, yeah. But no, that Hobbit, I think they have watched it. But yeah, watched First Hobbit. I think they kind of liked it, and then they just weren't as invested. So yeah, I'll take them to Narnia and see. But that's another one, too. Like, is Narnia, is it going to be like two and a half hours? I bet, right?

For sure, yeah.

Three and a half, at least.

That book is pretty short.

That's true.

Yeah.

Yeah.

It's at least two hours.

I just, it's definitely two. I just look at it. I look at Greta and I was like, Oh, she's going to make this two and a half hours. They just know it already.

And a nice two 20, you know, not two 30, but.

Yeah, I see that.

None for making particularly long movies though.

But I just feel like it's going to be like, but it's Narnia, and I've got to make it epic. And they spent so much money. $ 250? $ 250 on Narnia? That's crazy. No wonder why they fired Dan Lin.

I thought it was $ 280.

What are they doing over there? Is it $ 280?

Close to that.

Yeah. Narnia, Netflix. Closer to $ 3.

But did she sign to do more than one?

Originally, it was reported as a trilogy. And then after Barbie, it was reported as just one. I agree with people that I feel like after Barbie, if she had her way, she wouldn't have been doing Arya because she could have wrote her own ticket to do like anything original. But I think she was already locked in with the Netflix stuff.

She had to. But yeah, Taylor's right.

280. 280.

And you know it's more than that then. Which is just a little bit more than Starfighter. Starfighter, I think it was like 260 or something around there. So they're not super far apart.

No, it's 255. Yeah.

Yeah.

But at least with like, I understand a bit more Star Wars, right? But yeah. And we know it's more than that then. That's what they're like. It's like Clayface, right? It's like, oh, well, yeah, it was only 30 now. It's like, oh, well, it was actually 45.

Big Dan's just shoveling money into that fucking movie.

Well, you heard he got fired, right, Taylor?

Oh, I know.

He's canned, yeah.

Yeah, he's gone. Big Dan's out of here.

Hey, if he didn't want all that money to be put in it, they should have found him.

Yeah, I just don't know. I don't know. We'll see what happens. What is it? February 12th, so we're not too far along. What's going on?

Not a great release date either.

No.

February 12th?

No.

And that's why, I don't know.

That's the Batman, too, also, no?

Yeah, I feel good about Batman, though. Brand New Day made me feel better about Batman. I know it's not the same, but I just say, okay, we can take a long break and people will be ready for it. Kirkland, where do you keep going? I keep seeing you disappear.

Don't worry about it. I'm playing real life Overcooked right now. I've got to keep running to the kitchen and make sure everything's going well.

Well, talk about cooked. I just looked at my sleeper. I'm fucking cooked. You know, nothing worse than having your favorite player, JSN. My favorite player in the league just cooked me and beat me in the league. Like, what is he at now? Just like an easy, oh, just 28. Just whatever. Oh, my God. Yeah. And me and Detol are one point away. Now it's 930 to me and then 112 for him. So it's over for me. So two losing streak in a week. There we go. John, enjoy being number one in the fantasy league.

Fuck.

Do you guys believe?

I got a quick interjection here. Tulsa King.

Bigfoot? No, Bigfoot's not real, Taylor. The documentary... I saw your score on that documentary thing. Did you see my comment?

He said cope, question mark. Would I misspell something? What does that mean?

You gotta learn some of this young guy lingo, Taylor. You got two kids coming up. Have you not heard the term cope?

No. I'm not hanging out with young young.

Next generation like that's not that young no i.

Don't like i feel like it's like a little like it's not like super young but it's like i don't know um it just means like you're coping like you're not taking it well that this isn't real.

Oh i know dead ass no cap i know that one that's the The latest one.

Those are old by this point.

Really? No, no.

My 19-year-old niece and 21-year-old nephew, those are relevant right now.

Those are terms.

They're lying to you.

No cap, Taylor. No cap. If I were to walk up to you and say, dab me, what would you do?

Dab me?

Yeah.

I'd drop you a dab.

What's that? What do you do?

No is that not it oh no oh i'm out put me out of my misery guys oh.

It was like a last year or something it was like at one of the dances and there was a younger guy and like we were talking and then like i dabbed him at the end And then, and I'm like, what do you do? I'm like, I dabbed. I'm like, what do you mean dab? I'm like, you know what a dab is? So she's the same thing as you, Terry. No, no idea.

Isn't it dab?

Isn't it dab with a P?

Dab, dab, whatever. They know what I'm talking about.

Okay.

Sorry, you do it with your hands again?

No, you got to see it once. That's it. No, it's like you bring it in.

You do that.

Like, okay, hang on. So you go up to someone and you do this.

No, no, no, no.

Like shaking hands it's like shaking hands but it's like you bring it in it's this you catch each other and then you go yeah some people do a snap but I'm white so I'm not snapping after the fact yeah we're not doing the Jim Carrey Illuminati thing No, you guys should. Before you get back to your Tales of Kings story, we were filming something the other night, and you should. Anytime he's telling a meme, Kirkland pulls up with his friend Tyler. Any chance Taylor is getting, he's like, you know that Bigfoot doc? There's a lot of things that aren't adding up to me. And then he's like, in the chat, he's like, you know, these Bigfoot communities. This dog came out. They're sharing all this stuff about it. Why weren't they sharing this stuff before?

It just feels not for me to believe you. No, they were. No, you're like, it's going crazy. We've never seen. Why wouldn't they share that before? It's very convenient now.

You're skewing what I said.

All this stuff already exists out there, but it's when this documentary presents this new footage that we haven't seen before. And then it's just, okay, you look at this new footage and And then the documentary pulls in people's perspectives or people saying things, but they leave a lot out. You know, the guy saying he wore the suit, they brought a lot of that in. But then they left so much stuff out where he's– you can look at all the interviews he's had.

We're like, oh, yeah, there were no slippers in the suit.

Oh, you know what?

Actually– Two years later, oh, there were slippers in the suit. Oh, no, they had to put multiple pieces on me a year later. No, it was just one suit, and they pulled a zipper up.

He's coping, guys.

He's coping.

Here was the quote. Fuck me. Both Ruben and I have seen some things, lol. All the Bigfoot groups.

Documentary stuff, yeah.

Also, all the Bigfoot groups are ablaze. Lots of additional info coming out, making the doc look a bit unreliable. and more controversial too. Also, he had said this before he had seen the doc. Multiple times, you're like, I don't know about this doc. So just, and like, why is the additional info coming out now? Like all this, I don't know, you know. I'm going to check out your episode.

Taylor, I'm curious though. I have to listen to the episodes as well.

But what percentage would you say this doc like swayed you, if at all? Or like in terms of going to the other viewpoint, or did it not at all?

Without seeing it, and the day that like they were just saying like this, patterson gimlin footage has proven a hoax everyone was saying i was like well all right that's that's it and it felt shitty you know like it you know they're saying it's proven a hoax but then when i me and ruben our plan was to avoid watching or looking at the footage and then everything until we could sit down watch the doc together and then do the podcast but like i said the groups everywhere online like just dropping pictures of just this new footage it was.

Really you don't gotta look at them.

I'm not muting all like 10,000 fucking Bigfoot groups. I don't even know how many I'm in, but they're all over the place.

Is there just a notification on your Facebook and you just don't go to that page?

No, no, it's not a notification. I just scroll down my feed and I'm just instantly there.

The second someone posts it, it just takes Taylor right there.

Yeah, yeah.

It's my eyes.

But no, it's looking at the. The footage, like, the stuff just, as I said, it appears. So me and Ruben, even Ruben was like, yeah, you know, Taylor, this is really hard to avoid seeing, like, the pictures of this new footage.

Like, yeah, I know. I saw some stuff, too.

So we talked about that a little bit in the cryptic clues before we actually watched the documentary. And Ruben just, like, he came to play. He brought a lot of interesting little things, too.

And he's worried his whole life is going to be over if this was real.

Yeah, and I think, like, he definitely.

He highlights some inconsistencies, and then he mentions a few things which are really interesting. And, yeah, there's certain things that you're just trying to wrap your head around and kind of, like, connect the dots with. But, like, at the end of the day, if this has proven a hoax, I can live with that because this is just one thing.

It does not discount Bigfoot being around for hundreds.

It's a crown jewel, though.

It's what made it.

Like, I don't want to say Hollywoodized it, but it's what put it on, like, mainstream media was the Patterson-Gimlin footage.

Like, that's the main thing, right?

Classic, classic Taylor, man. Just like on the pod, you just went for, like, 10 minutes. You didn't answer my questions.

Sorry, what was your question?

I got sidetracked.

If it changed my, if I believe it.

Yeah, like, what percentage would you say it swayed you, if at all, to be on, like, to see the other stuff?

I'd say, I'm leaning, like, I'm still probably, like, 60 to 65% believe that it's real after watching the documentary. But there's still, like, that 40 to 45% that I could accept that it's a hoax.

But I need to see more in disbelief.

No, sorry.

That was unrelated.

Okay.

But what were you prior to, were you 65 prior to all this as well?

Growing up as a kid and like seeing that footage, I was easily a hundred percent. Like you see the muscles moving and like the, the, all the different stuff and like the skin and everything of the Patty walking in that, in that footage.

Yeah.

Um, and I, yeah, so I, I was pretty high, uh, and then.

As of last week prior to the doc.

As of last week when they announced the doc and they said like okay like we've got new footage my percentage probably went down to like 80 because i was just apprehensive but i'm willing to accept like if you can debunk it sure like that that helps clear the air right like it sucks but yeah.

Tulsa King.

Yeah, Tulsa King.

Yeah, new season. Oh, man, October 16th.

I didn't realize this, so I'm obviously behind by a couple episodes.

But, oh, man, that's sly. Holy shit.

You sound like Eddie Murphy in Delirious.

I play Rocky coming down next month. Going to be great.

Taylor didn't like that concept, remember? Did you hear that weekly geek where he.

Oh, yeah.

He had some weird hang-up about them making this movie about.

No movies without movies.

Yeah. About making a movie about Sylvester Stallone. Every time I think I've heard all the strangest takes from Taylor, another one comes up and it's like, I just don't know if we should be doing this. It's like, I don't know, it's a story to be told. But no, Taylor's not... You've not seen I Am Rocky, eh?

Oh, I mean.

Or I Play Rocky. I play Rocky. Ah, I don't know. What day is that? That's next week?

It's November 6th.

Yeah, the review on the books.

No, because that week we've got Godzilla, and then my buddy asked me on a movie date to go and see... What is that Sam Rockwell, Malkovich movie again?

Yeah, they got into Seven Psychopaths.

Yeah, so I got to watch Seven Psychopaths because.

I haven't seen that.

November's going to be big for some really good movies. Hunger Games coming out November 20th.

I thought you said big movies, Mike.

Hell yeah, Hunger Games.

No, you're right. It'll do well. I'll happily.

I'd say at least 400.

At least 400?

What did the last one do?

Yeah, the last one did like 300.

It was 356, but you have to take into account that.

That this is, like, you're getting back Lawrence and Hutcherson. You're getting Haymitch, which is a more recognizable name. The cast is bigger. Yeah, I think this is going to be, I would say, probably closer to 500.

I hope.

So, for my draft.

I'm finding, like, the 425. I think that's where I'm sitting at, Nestle. Like, obviously, you've got to see if it's a good movie, too, first, because that will, like, could hurt it.

And.

Yeah, I'll catch up on VOD. I'm with other people. I still don't buy this guy as young Woody Harrelson. It's just not... I just feel like it's very similar to Alden as Han Solo, where they're trying to sell me something, and it's like, no, this isn't the same guy.

With Woody Harrelson, I feel like it's tough to not go too much into parody mode with Woody Harrelson.

100%. Yeah, I 100% get it, but then I 100% am not too invested, but yeah, I'll see it at some point, because... yeah godzilla minus zero though oh two weeks away that is two weeks nice just yeah just sneaking up like i oh man it's like halloween's this week and then the next week minus zero like that is oh that's like.

Anything else doing.

I don't know what did that first one do this one's also 500 at least 500 taylor make 500 i mean it's not in english.

It's people are dumb i don't know how to read yeah.

Like the first one made 116 so taylor you're telling me we need it back you're telling me it's gonna make almost 400 million more i don't think i think i'm more comfortable in like the 300 million baby aspect because it's definitely more hype you know oscar winner And I feel like I know more people now that have seen it that maybe miss in theaters. Like, oh, I love this. Like, it is the, you know, the good Godzilla franchise. But I'm not going to go half a.

Is it getting a wide release or just like a.

It's getting an IMAX, isn't it? Yeah, it is.

Yeah, I think it will.

There's a few people that they come to me and they're like, hey, you see that trailer for that new Godzilla movie?

I'm like, yeah, I can't wait.

It's a sequel, like sequel.

But yeah, I watched minus one.

Like, no. Like, well, okay. Go check yourself.

Or go check it out. That'd be a wild movie to not see the first. Go check yourself. That'd be a wild movie not to see the first one because I feel like they're going to go over a lot of stuff.

Yeah, it picks up right after it pretty much.

Yeah. Because, yeah, November, I don't think we're getting this. We have the V for Vendetta re-release, which I'd like to see because I actually didn't get to see it in theaters back.

In the day.

I saw it in theaters.

I did it a couple years ago. It's so good in theaters.

Yeah, I would love to see that. And then, yeah, the week after, Godzilla Minus One and Cat in the Hat. So you got that going on. I'm happy you never see a fucking trailer for Cat in the Hat ever again.

You know what I love to retro with you guys is the Myers Cat in the Hat.

That movie is just fucking weird. It's so... It is weird.

Because that's the movie. I don't know also what happened was people died, right? But you know what happened after that movie with the estate, right?

I don't know anything like this, no.

So they made Grinch obviously a big hit. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And then like, well, we got to do Cat in the Hat. So they do Cat in the Hat. And then Dr. Seuss's wife was still alive and she saw that movie and then she said she did not allow another live action Dr. Seuss movie ever again. That's why after those other Dr. Seuss movies are all animated ones like the lorax and they did the other grinch everything i think just because she's passed now and it's like token right before nothing was going on and now peter jackson's like oh yeah this estate's much better we're gonna let him do fucking tom bombalin and like the golem stuff like it's all these kids they're like yeah i'll cash in on the like which.

Is like mike myers didn't want to do cat in the hat he got tricked into it yeah.

The career of actors though. Like, what am I doing? Can that now? Okay. But yeah. So when they did can the hat, his wife was like, no more, you can't do any more live action.

Uh, Dr.

Grinch too.

Yeah.

But that's why she's dead now.

Right.

So new estates, Paul, like, yeah, you can make, you can make Grinch too. But yeah, when they, even like when Mike Myers, I get it says humor, but when it's something like he steps on a hoe and he's like, how did that? Like he says that he says the word hoe in camera hat. I couldn't even believe that.

That's a movie that murder a kid too.

And that, cause the kid, they're like, He was, like, a piñata, and they were whacking him, and then, like, he drops, and the big kid's, like, eating the candy, and he gets the baseball bat, and he's ready to just, like, smash the kid's head in.

Who directed that?

Let's take a look. I remember, as I've always said, my movie Awakening was in 2006, but I remember in 2003 watching that movie and being like, I'd very much like to leave. Like, I'd know, because I saw it in the theaters, and I remembered the magic of the Grinch. We all were there for the magic of the Grinch. Oh, yeah.

live-action Christmas, like, when I came out, it was snowing. It was directed by Bo Welch. Catherine O'Hara's husband, actually.

Exactly.

What? But, no, I think he has some bangers, though. Man, hang on. Let me go into his earlier career. Oh, wait. Maybe I'm wrong.

Oh, yeah.

He didn't have bangers.

Sorry.

He has bangers in producing. He produced, like, a lot of, like, oh, wait. Oh, that's what he is. He used to be a production designer. Because he designed the production for Lost Boys, Beetlejuice, and Batman Returns. So he gets a lot of points for me because I fucking love Batman Returns. But it just sounded like he wanted to make the jump and it didn't quite happen. So there you go.

Even though I was a kid and I saw the Cat in the Hat trailer, even I thought that's just too dumb for me.

Yeah.

So you got that coming out. And I don't like those trailers for the Cat in the Hat animated movie. That's not doing anything for me. So I hopefully will not see that. Then 13th is stacked. You got Victorian Psycho, which I can't wait. We're not going to get that here, but I'm very excited. Yeah, I Play Rocky. That's coming out.

Paper Tiger, which I'm excited for. That's the new Miles Teller, Adam Driver, and ScarJo one. It's like the mob crime one. You got How to Rob a Bank, which I'm curious about.

I keep seeing that trailer in every movie I go see. It's in front of it.

Oh, yeah. They're pimming out a lot. Yeah, so we'll see. And then Ebenezer, A Christmas Carol, November 13th.

Absolutely fucking not.

Are you getting a review?

I'll be very glad that I never have to see the trailer again.

That's your thing, though. You're a Christmas Carol guy. Come on.

Yeah, and then look at that. Have you seen the trailer, Matty? Have you seen the trailer for it?

Dude, I'm so... Actually, I have to shout out.

You guys, I watched the trailer randomly in my personal time, and then you guys ended up bringing it up on one of the casts, and it was fucking hilarious because you even.

Brought up the clips. That Johnny Depp.

The Day Drinker or whatever?

Yeah, that dude. That was so funny. Those lines he's dropping in there. We got to watch that movie one night together.

April, have you seen, because I know you're a boy, have you seen the trailer for The Day Drinker?

I don't think so.

We're bringing this up again. Was it me and Kirkland?

I've never heard of this.

No, it was you and me.

We're breaking down the lines of him like, I'm not Dup.

Don't spoil it. She doesn't like the Ebenezer trailer where they're very much just like, we really want to get the point that Johnny's back and he's playing like a bad guy. They do this trailer where it feels like it's breaking the fourth wall. There's three times in this trailer where he alludes to like either being back or being a bad guy like yeah like being like and like being okay with it like we want the full thing but like hang on mike have.

You seen this oh yeah.

I saw it okay yeah here we go.

Don't you sometimes want to misbehave like.

Why are you he's doing the fucking gila point voice too.

And where's the other one coming up here? I'll find it.

Oh, yeah.

Here's the third one. Belong here. I don't belong anywhere. Yeah, okay.

We get it.

You got us out of Hollywood. And then this is the ultimate one here. I'm done. When I say I'm done. It's just so, like, and is that going to be every Johnny Depp movie from now on? Like, it's so in your face, like, oh, I was doing some questionable stuff, but you can't fucking.

Hold me down. Oh, yeah.

He's got.

Too many people that won't watch him now, so he's got to appeal to that other audience.

Yeah, he's going to be doing a Daily Wire movie soon with John the Major. I can just see him dang trail. But no, I bet it. The Christmas Carol, I think, is a great story of all time. That trailer completely unsold me. I was not seeing it for Johnny. I was seeing it for Ty West. But no, I'm not going to.

What is he doing?

I don't know. I need a wellness check.

Okay.

Does he need a paycheck that badly?

Did he trade this for something?

I guarantee you probably in real life that Johnny and Ty West were friends. And I think it's a situation of like, hey, I think you're wrong. Yada, yada, yada. I got some clout after the Pearl Trilogy. People get behind. Like I can get a studio to do that. I can't remember who's putting it out there. I'll find out.

But yeah, I think.

Daily Wire.

Yeah.

They got a Rob Lowe movie coming out soon. It's actually written by Ben Shapiro.

Yeah, they do. James Franco's in it and everything.

That's true, James Franco.

They're just collecting shitty men like Infinity Stones over there.

Yeah.

What did they call Depp in the trailer? The Master of Mischief, or was it something like that?

Yeah, the Master of Mischief.

Yeah, yeah. I don't know.

You know, he's just a trickster.

He's just a funny guy.

Yeah, of course. Distributed by Paramount Pictures. Jesus fucking Christ. Yeah, that's right. Of course it's Paramount Pictures after all this. So, yeah, no, I will see. Well, actually, if it gets terribly reviewed, I probably won't actually see it because I've watched so many Christmas carols during Christmas. I like to rewatch. And there's still ones I've never seen. There's one I heard on Netflix. They happened on FX like a decade ago with Guy Pearce. Sorry, Kirkland. Yeah, you've got to watch that one.

Written by Stephen Knight.

I've heard it's phenomenal. Yeah, I've heard it's phenomenal. So I'm like, okay, I've got to do that. And there's another one, too, back in the 90s with Patrick Stewart. as Scrooge, and I've never seen that one. So every year I learn about a new one, and sometimes they're hard to find, so if this gets terribly reviewed, I will not probably watch it all. If it gets fine reviewed, I'll probably watch a bit at home. I didn't like the whole, how goofy it was and everything, especially with Ty West. I thought, okay, we're going to get something really cool and stylized. It just looks like he's just making another Christmas Carol with Johnny Depp.

It looks like it should have been one of those Tim Burton movies he used to do back in the day.

What was it, Dark.

Shadow dark shadow that yeah like yeah that i would believe the head said oh yeah tim burton directed this christmas carol okay but ty west like oh like like when i hear like eggers and he says he wants to make christmas carol i know that's gonna look like that's gonna be something different and i expect that with ty west and no it's just that it's just it just that's why i think he just directed like a favor i think he just like i'm gonna do my friend a solid.

Somebody's got some blackmail on him like a.

Hundred percent yeah i don't know what he's doing november 20th the hunger games and then yeah i play rocking paper tire expand is there anything come on netflix Oh, Josephine's coming on theaters as well. I'm not going to watch that movie because I know it's like an Oscar movie, but I just heard what the plot is, and I just feel like it's just too depressing. I don't know if I want to go through that.

You've got that movie Hexed coming out that week, too. I think I want to take my kid to see that because it looks really fun.

I'm hyped for that one.

There is a Lilo and Stitch, or maybe just Stitch short playing before that one. I just saw it.

Animated or like a live action one?

Animated.

An animated stitch short is playing in front of hex i saw the poster for it at the movie theater.

Okay cool when i was there last so yeah no yeah they're really.

Trying to get people in there 100 well their past original movies have not fared well there so it's it's i hope it does.

Well yeah yeah what was the last one was it that that's wish.

Alien hoppers oh no wish this hoppers picture.

Yeah hoppers was pixar yeah it was elio i guess was pixar as well right.

Yeah i loved elio which was weird because like yeah i liked elio as well the wish thing i think not only like i know people didn't like the animation i think the other thing that they just botched on was like i felt like the original pitch that movie was there like because they're pitching like from the point of view or something like the wishing stars was like oh it's gonna be like and disney 100 it felt like the original pitch was oh it's gonna be like a bunch of disney lore and it's like No, that wasn't what that was.

The songs were really mediocre, too. They wasted Ariana DeBose, who's fantastic.

Yeah.

But everything is wasting her, so. That's another one. Add her to the list of actors who aren't getting much to do.

Yeah, but she got an Oscar, at least, you know? She's set. She got that, you know? And then Kirkland, I know you're looking forward to this, Fawker and Law, November 25th. Anytime we're in a theater and we get a Fawker and Law trailer, I just hear, like, Kirkland dies a little inside each time.

You were saying you can't wait to never see Ebenezer or Cat in the Hat trailer ever again. I can't wait to never see that trailer again. And hopefully that franchise just fucking dies here.

I feel like I haven't seen that trailer a ton at all.

I wonder how that's going to do.

I've seen it one too many times.

And the weird thing is.

I don't think they have they done a second trailer? I don't think so. I think it's always a fucking first trailer. Ben still on the bike and always ends with the dog attacking him.

Right.

And like, oh, you're a little mind fucker or whatever. And he opens the car and then it's a CGI dog that gets him. And just but I see.

TV spots for it. So it's like a little cut up versions of it. But yeah, most of the same gags.

Yeah, I think unfortunately, I don't think I've actually seen that that trailer in the theater. No?

Oh, yeah, we get it spammed. I don't think so. We got it for Odyssey, and we were like, why the fuck? Yeah, me and Kirkland were like, we're about to watch Odyssey, and why are they playing fucker? And we're like, this is not the same audience. But, you know, Kirkland, like you said, your mom was laughing, so it's like, okay, maybe it is the same audience.

Yeah, my mom was hyped.

They have to hit the, like, 50 to 60 plus demo that are seeing the Odyssey as well, because that is, like, that movie I really don't know. I think that could be one that comes out. And it is like, yeah, this franchise is done. Or it could also just make a good bunch of money. And they'll be like, oh, we can make three more of these things, right? Yeah.

Because now if Ariana and Jimmy Olsen's like the new couple, you're going to bend still in the De Niro role. And you can just always just fucking keep that going. And De Niro's still around. So you get to do that. I think they're doing the classic, like, unless I'm speaking in a turn, I don't know if the actress that played his wife has passed away.

Has she? No.

I think they're doing the classic where like, oh, he's, you know, he's a widowed De Niro now and he has nothing else going on.

I think he'll have about the same effect as Scary Movie 6 did.

Well, that did well then. So, you know, beat Scream. So then it's Kirkland. You're getting Faulkner Law too soon. You're going to be in next Nolan movie. You're getting more trailers for the next Faulkner Law.

They're going to time it with the next Nolan movie.

Yeah. And then you have finally the end of November, the further misadventures of Cliff Booth. I don't know about that. I'm getting ready to.

Be.

Actually, I won't be let down because I always thought it was going to be an odd fit. And I don't know. It just feels like it's going to be. They're not talking about this enough, you know.

Yeah.

The hype is like non-existent.

Yeah.

And Fincher's leaving Netflix. It's like, you know, that to me is not like a great telling song.

I don't even know who else is in it except for Brad Pitt. Are there any other big name people? Yaya.

Yaya's in it.

Okay.

Elizabeth DeBecky's in it.

Okay.

I feel like there's one more. Let me click on the poster now. Oh, Peter Weller's in it. Fuck yeah.

I don't know what to expect for that one.

I feel like, like you said, the hype is pretty low for me too, but there's a chance that I could end up really liking it too just because of like the.

the Hollywood setting and things like that.

I feel like it could be a fun dialogue.

Yeah.

Scott cons in it. You got that. And then the, the woman that I can never pronounce her name, uh, Carla, uh, Gino or whoever. Could you know? Yeah. You know, Flanagan and spy kids, that type of stuff. Yeah. Watchman.

Yeah.

She's in there. So there's some, there's some good people in there. So I'll definitely be seeing it. I don't know if we're going to get it. It says IMAX only. So I'm sure close.

It's getting fucked up on Netflix. Close to Christmas.

I think.

Yeah.

Yeah it is so yeah anything else before we close this any pressing issues anything any maddie anything you need to answer to not answer.

That's the time maddie i've been.

Waiting you only dodged it like four or five times so there we.

Go perfect so well there we go that's the f9 in the bag what is it we're in october oh yes we still got two more we go do one november do one in uh december and then uh yeah we'll see what happens and then yeah I guess after oh I guess quickly I guess I wanted to hear Maddie and April your guys' thoughts on Clayface I totally forgot at one point we were talking about Batman I wanted to ask you guys but then I forgot to so what do you think April of Clayface I liked it.

A lot yeah it was very in my bag.

Yeah that's good okay Maddie I saw you had a four yeah I enjoyed it honestly I didn't like I don't think it's great but I didn't have a ton of glaring issues yeah I'll just say there's a certain dance number that actually really worked for me.

Hell yeah. I really loved that.

That moment won me over, and there was a couple gruesome moments. I don't want to spoil too much, too, but, you know, yeah, a couple gruesome things that I approved of.

I liked where they went with it.

Yeah however i will say that i went home and watched creature commandos after that and that is not the same same guy.

No i was like it can't be as bad as i remember and i was like oh it's worse.

Sometimes saying nothing's better sometimes saying nothing at all is better and just be like oh we'll see because like the weird thing is in dc comics there's multiple clay faces So you could easily just not even do that. You could just say, ah, you got to watch to find out. Well, that's not the future. But just be like, no.

Get on those fucking threads and write us 10 paragraphs. No, it is the same Clayface because we want this pure imagery and singular image for the DCU. All right, James.

It's absolutely not the same character.

I will not believe that at all.

Real quick before we go. Travis, I didn't hear your thoughts. You watched Below?

Oh, did you watch Below?

Yeah.

Oh, I thought you said below, like the Johnny Depp movie. I'm like, why are you so wanting all my thoughts on Blow from 2001?

I had the same thing.

Yeah, it's a good movie. Yeah, I liked it. I really did not like when Josh Harnett got to that island. That's all the same. And the score, I could just feel it dipping. It was going below her and below her and below her.

I thought it was going to be a lot more Lovecraft-y than it ultimately ended up being.

Yeah.

It felt like it was a mix of a bunch of stuff. It felt like not just because Keaton was there, but it felt like it was a little bit Stranger Things. And then it was Lovecrafty. And then it felt like it was kind of like an everyday environmentalist sort of deal. And there's another vibe to... Like, yeah, once they introduced that girl, I was like, okay, we're going to get some weird stuff there. And we never... We never really did.

That whole scene in the room with the dream, it's just like, what was that? They never really explained it.

Yeah, like, Tanner Kirkland, we're never going to watch this. The second he had sex with this, like, water girl, I'm like, okay, we're getting some good, like, something crazy is going to happen. No, no, no, it won't happen. She's just, and even then, too, when they escape, and they all clear, she's got to come back, right? Like, it's going to happen. No, it's just like, she just watched them, and she's, it was, it was, it just, it was, it felt like they had, it was, because I think it was six episodes, it felt like they had, like, the first three.

Yeah, and they were all, like, under 40 minutes.

Yeah, it felt like they had the first three solid, and then the last three were like, we're kind of running out of ideas here. But I liked the cast. It was a good time, but I just.

I love Josh Hartnett's accent.

Oh, they would harm the Newfie accent. I brought Emily in my room. I know Newfoundland people do have a big accent here in Canada, but I was like, even Mackenzie Davis has a Newfoundland accent. Oh my god, this is... It's just weird when that happens and we're in Canada and you see that. Yeah, it was good, but I don't think I would Probably ever watch it again, you know? Like, that's the thing. So what about you, Matt? You're a big hardneck guy.

So.

And the show you watched this season.

Yeah, actually, I did watch a bit of it.

But it's fine so far.

It's really... It's actually been like a while I work show.

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Kind of just on... in the background, and it's been fine, honestly.

It's nothing too crazy.

I don't know.

It's a nice, maybe like six on ten-ish, three out of five level right now.

It kind of stays there. Yeah.

Yeah.

Well, there you go. We'll be back and we'll talk about maybe someone we'll have seen Ebenezer. Taya will go to Ebenezer's. Taya, you're liking those trailers, right?

I'm liking those trailers, yeah.

I was eating them.

Getting eaten in the bed and all that.

Yeah, we'll talk about.

Future watch-along.

Yes.

I don't know about that.

I don't know.

Day drinker, maybe. I'm done when I say I'm done.

If you lose an NFL league, that's going to be your punishment movie one of these years.

Oh, no. I watched a movie. There was another movie.

Fuck.

What was there? A movie recently I watched I thought would be a good punishment movie.

You got to write it down, man. I wrote down The Giver when we spoke about it last time.

The Giver was good.

Yeah.

The Speedfighter? Yeah.

Sorry?

I don't know if Street Fighter was that bad. Let me quickly look at my letterbox.

Street Fighter was fun.

It was fun.

You guys are sadists if what you're considering is fun.

No, the movie was fun.

Do not see that movie. Everybody, I'm telling you. And people did not see it. 75% drop. Be like, I'm not seeing that.

How do you compare it to Mortal Kombat? Like, cheesiness. Like, it looks about the same....

I think combat has a better grip of the tone than Street Fighter. And I think the thing with Street Fighter is it's more cheesy, but it's just not fun. For me, it was not funny. That's what it was. The jokes felt very middle school-ish. Yeah, is there like a one-star? No, I don't know what it was. There was some movie. And I watched, maybe it was Street Fighter, but I don't think so. I thought it was something else, but I'll have to look back on it. Maybe it was...

I know it was the covenant, but I know people like that. I had to watch it with Emily this season. That was her Halloween pick.

And I never seen that. The, the, the, the wizards, right? The spells.

Fuck the covenant. I can't.

My dad showed me that when I was a kid. He's like, Taylor, check this out. And I was like, this movie is fucking awesome.

This is you. You're a, you're a, you're a witch, Taylor. Uh, there you go. So, all right, that's it for after nine. I hope everybody had a good time. We will catch you guys in the discord and then the, um, next time. And yeah, thanks for always for coming over here and talking and, uh, Yeah, have a good rest of your Sunday and good week, and we'll talk to you later.

Take care, guys. See you, guys.
