Hey, Fanaritos. Welcome back to How Rude, Tanaritos.
We are home from 90s Con in Hartford, Connecticut, and we're bringing you along for the recap. Between meeting you, Fanaritos, catching up with our cast, and a little backstage chaos, we have plenty to talk about.
So let's settle in and catch up. Woohoo! All right! We're fresh.
We've been home like three days, if even, not even that, like two and a half days.
Two and a half days. We survived.
I still have my little... I always get sick at these things. It's like the con crud. So I have residual con crud.
I am trying not to get sick.
Everyone in my house and the cons and things so far knocking on everything.
I've avoided it. I'm sorry you got the con crud. I get sick every time I travel. I swear. As soon as I get on the plane, my nose starts running.
I think I'm sensitive to dry air and all of the changes.
In the atmosphere. 90s con was. So much fun.
It was so good. It was I mean, this was a 90s con. It was their fifth year. So this was a big one for them.
And we had we had taken a couple of years off. So we hadn't been in, I want to say, the last couple of 90s. Yeah.
And I think I want to say the last 90s con. Was it you, me, Candace and Scott?
It wasn't the whole cast. No, it wasn't. It wasn't the whole cast.
But I think maybe it was the three of us and Scott and Dave, maybe. Or the three of us and Dave and not.
Yeah, it was. Or just the two of us and Dave.
Yeah. This was the biggest full house reunion for a convention because we had John and Lori joining us for the first time with Scott and Candace and like every like finally everybody was together.
Yeah.
We've all done some cons, like, you know, We finally Tetris-ed ourselves together.
Yes, exactly. Yeah, it's not exactly easy to get all of us aligned with scheduling and all that kind of stuff. But man, was it fun. And it was so good to see everybody.
It's my favorite. This is my favorite con. Of all the cons, we've branched out a little bit the last couple of years. This is my favorite one. It's so fun.
For sure. It's so well done.
They do such a great convention and they get so many great people. I mean, there were a ton of people here this year that have not been to cons in the past.
Yeah.
I saw a couple friends of mine from other shows, Larissa Olenek and Natanya Ross from Secret Life of Alex Mack.
I think this was Larissa's first con. It was her first 90s con for sure, but was it her first con?
It was her first con.
Ever? Yeah.
Wow. That's so cool. I wonder how she liked it.
It can be kind of overwhelming the first time you.
Do a convention, but she was so cute. She's the sweetest. Who else was... Bronson Pinchot and Mark Winbaker. Perfect Strangers was there.
I saw.
John and Dave were talking to them for quite a while. Oh, yeah. In the green room.
Because their stage was right across the alley from our stage. So that was a cute little reunion with them.
The Nanny, the cast of The Nanny was there. Nicole Tom, who is, you know, she dresses like Kimmy Gibbler. Nicole is Kimmy. She's so cute. She really is. In the best way. And she's amazing.
She has.
Oh, gosh, I wish I could remember the name of it.
But she has this really cool line of like lamps and home decor that she does that she creates out of like vintage pieces. Yeah, she's super talented artist, like super talented. Just one of those people. Again, she is Kimmy Gibbler.
And I love it. She was dressed so cute. Yeah, so fun. I love seeing her. Yeah.
Who else?
We had boy banders there. We had Nick Carter.
Yes.
Joey Fatone, who's always such a gem.
JC Chazet was there, also from NSYNC.
I think that he's a new one to 90s Con, too. So the fans were super excited to see him. Yeah.
And I know Nick did, he did his concert.
Yeah.
That guy has so much energy. But then he went home.
He did not, he was supposed to stay for Sunday, wound up not staying, I think. But he did do a big concert Saturday night.
Yeah.
That guy just has endless energy. I'm always tapped out by the time the con ends at the end of the day.
And people are like, are you going to the concert? I'm like, a concert?
No.
Yeah, no, I can't do that right now. Can't do that. And Selma Blair was there. Yep. You know, fresh off her, the things that are going on in her life. But she was lovely. Do you think she drove?
Yeah.
I'm going to say train or public transportation. Question.
Yeah.
Let's just ask her how her flight was, but I didn't want to bite off more than I could chew.
Oh, my God. I love you so much. Oh, my God. She looked great. She looked amazing. She was so nice. I just need everyone to know it wasn't me. Okay? I didn't say anything because I was going to be behaved.
But A.B.
Did.
And she's surprising me left and right, you guys. Let me tell you. On the pink carpet... Of 90s con. We're doing a an interview with AARP.
OK, first of all, my new favorite, her.
New favorite, because one, all of the stars are now qualifying for AARP or coming up on it.
Yep.
Welcome to the club. But but yeah, they were interviewing her about something. I don't know. Oh, what's your favorite part of aging?
And you just said, I, Manny, you're going to have to bleep this out. You just said, I don't think, I don't, I give zero anymore. And I was like, and you never curse on the red carpet, really.
No, never. And you were like, I give zero. And I was like, apparently. Oh, yes. Oh, we're doing it. I hugged you. I said, I'm so proud of you. You were so proud of me. I was so proud of you. And then that was also the Mr. Teabag comment. They said, what was your favorite? Catchphrase.
Yeah.
And I said, hey, teabag. And you didn't realize that that was what I called Mr. Tanner.
I did not know that we got away with that on Full House. And I thought there's no way in hell you could have possibly said that to Bob's face and had him remain in a scene. so I thought you were joking and I was like even better even more unhinged let's go for it let's go but turns out that was a line in the show so yeah if you have a problem with it that was in.
The very next episode that we watched and we watched.
The episode earlier today while we're doing our recordings right back from 90s Gone and that was the first thing she says when she walks in was hey Mr. Teabag and I was like oh my god.
Yeah it was yeah I don't lie that is a great that's one of my favorite catchphrases true It's true.
It's a great line. Hey, T-Bag. I'm just going to start saying that to everyone I see. Hey, T-Bag. I think you should. I don't. Just no context. Yeah. Yeah. I'm 50. This is me. I can kick. Yeah.
What else?
So what else? Oh, my gosh. It was such a blur. Like, it was so much fun, but it was such a blur. So fun.
We have to talk about the photo op because I lost it. I completely lost day two of our professional photo ops. Yeah, it was the last day because I was tired.
I was slap happy. It was the afternoon. You're my best audience. I love it. It's so great.
Well, so the setup was there's so many cast members that for our professional photo op, we had to have four of us sitting in chairs.
Right.
And then the rest of the cast was standing behind the seaters. Might we add a poster, one of those like little rollout posters, like a life size of Bob.
In the back of the photo. That was so sweet. So we did get Bob in the full house group photo. That was John. That was John's idea.
Yes.
He thought of it very last minute. Yeah, the last minute. He was like, you know what we need? Like Thursday. Yeah, we need it in two hours. Right. So he texts his handler. He's like, can you get this done before they're gone? And he's like, sure.
Overnight?
Okay, sure. And he was there.
I didn't know how that would land, but I thought it was great.
I didn't either. It ended up being so sweet.
It was either going to be really weirdly morbid. That's what I was afraid of.
Or it was going to be like, aww. You know what I mean? And luckily it was the latter. It was. The fans were so.
surprised and it was so heartwarming and a lot of the fans didn't even know that the the bob was in the back until they got their photo developed yeah.
It was.
The ghost of bob saget um that was so sweet it was just a great way to include bob yeah yeah it really was so i yeah and.
Then you so just.
For those of you who made it through any of our photo op lines, as you have probably witnessed, we are constantly screwing around.
As a cast, just constantly.
And I think really the Wranglers were having a harder time keeping our group focused than they were getting people in and out of.
The photo ops. For sure.
Like wrangling cats it really it really is um but yeah i just uh that that is where this story begins.
So so jody i gotta give props to jody like she's the vip of this because she's the greeter so she's the one you see first when you come in as a fan to your photo op and it's great because you need someone like that in the group you need someone to be like hey welcome come here you stand here i just don't know what to do.
It's overwhelming.
There's like seven of us there, which would be an overwhelming thing to walk in on anyway.
Just seven people staring at you like, hi. But let alone your childhood.
So, yeah, I just kind of gently grab people like, hey, why don't you stand right here in between?
And then, yeah.
And it's helpful to the photographer too, because you can kind of get them lined up exactly the way you need. So they're not blocking bobs. You can see them, you know, in the camera frame.
And I can usually just push through with energy and then collapse at the end of it all.
Yeah, it's impressive. It's impressive the amount of energy that takes. And then you just do it.
You did it for every single photo op.
And I was just like, Bless Jodi. Thank you so much for taking that role because I was like comatose. For a moment I was like, am I taking control? Am I doing too much? And then I looked at everyone else in the cast who was just like, eh. And I was like, no, I think I'm doing just the right amount.
So depending on the number of fans that come through, because it could either be one person, two people, up to four people. And so you want to, like, place them accordingly. Either they want to stand by their favorite cast member or whatever. So Jodi's, like, jangling people into their spots.
Making sure everyone's faces are seen and, you know, nobody's being blocked by someone's head.
And so I notice at one point Jodi's, like, kind of leaning over so her face can be in the camera frame.
Yeah. And I've noticed that she's resting her boob on my shoulder. I think I said it, too. I was like, don't worry, I'm just going to put this right here on your shoulder. Hoisted?
Yeah, yeah.
And I.
So I was like, oh yeah, it's like Elf on a Shelf. And then we were trying to riff off of Elf.
On a Shelf.
We were trying to think of something that rhymed. You know what I mean? And I'm like, is it like a... a tit on a lit or a boob on a boob on a noob.
Yeah.
No, it wasn't. We couldn't quite find it.
And so I, as we're smiling and taking photographs with people and running through my Rolodex of, uh, names for boobs that have, uh, uh, that.
Rhyme with shoulder. And, uh, Boulder.
Done.
And so while we're taking the picture, Andrea's smiling and I just lean and whisper in her ear and I go, it's a boulder on a shoulder. and she was done and she dies it was done like legit we had to stop and i could not keep it together i couldn't compose i couldn't i couldn't pull it together then i had so much fun just constantly oh yeah yeah just i was.
Crying oh fanaritos if i look like i'm crying in your photo i apologize but i was like i had tears.
Like legit we had to go i couldn't pull it together it was i'm so proud it was great.
Boulders on shoulders. Yeah. Boulders on shoulders.
And then just everything.
Then you start moving furniture. Oh, and then I was samming it up with a chair. And that was the other thing that made you die. Because I'll start... my dad's name is Sam. Okay.
And my dad will fix just about anything. Like he's one of those people that walks into a place and starts like looking at, you know, how well it's constructed. And so I had a moment where I was samming it up, as A.B.
Calls it, because I.
Started looking under the chair to see if there was a way to lock it in place so it would quit.
Spinning or whatever. And I was like, I'm sorry, I'm samming it up. I'll stop. Yeah. And she just thought it was hilarious. Because I was already hysterical. That's right.
Yeah, it was right post boulder on shoulder moment. And then we went right into samming it up.
We gotta make merch! boulders on shoulders it could be like the little abu that sits on scott's shoulder we can do.
Oh no i broke andrea again oh no how could you i mean abu you know i'm.
Crying again oh this.
Is so good You guys, it's silent laugh, like crying, silent laughter right now.
It's amazing. It's so good. It's, it's like, this, this, this, I will remember for the rest of my life. Like this is going to be a running gag forever. Like it's so. Carpet, let's move. Takes on a different tone though. Boulder on a shoulder. Um, yeah, I was, I was done. I was done. I couldn't compose myself. And, um, It was great. That's just Jodi. That's the Jodi I love.
You're the greeter. You're the boulder on her shoulder.
You're Sam.
It was just a silent, like, sort of whisper while we were doing something. Yeah.
Like when we used to.
Screw around in a scene and I'd be there in the background just saying ridiculous things and you're dying.
And this is the Bob Saget in you. Because once I start laughing, then you're like, oh, I have an audience. And so then you just keep going and going. I'm like, oh, you're in? I got it. It just motivates you to be funnier. And I was just, like right now, I was gone. A goner. So, yeah, that was... highlight highlight for me. Yep. Was that, um, what else we did this, the Tik TOK dance. John was like, we got to do this Tik TOK dance.
Right. He decides that we have to do a Tik TOK dance as we are all arriving for group photos on Saturday, our busiest day.
And it's, We.
Have like sold out photo ops and we've also still got to do trios and this and that.
And towards the end of the day. And we're already late. We're already running late. The schedule's already behind. We're already screwed.
And John goes, well, we need to do a video. And it was and we did part of it and then it didn't happen. And then I was like, OK. And then we tried to do it. Then we got it done.
Finally, we got finally got it done.
Again, was like, this is a this is a really poorly planned timing to try and do this.
While people are waiting. God bless editing because like they put it all. I think it was.
No, no, no.
Because remember, we did the beginning part of it.
Once John came backstage into the green room, we got the beginning part and we just did it all in the same location. I was like, I said, just reshoot the top of it because then we're.
Yeah, we're all in the same.
It turned out great. It turned out what I thought was gonna be a hot mess. And it turned out so great.
I loved it.
As a cast, we're just really good at like nailing ridiculous dancing.
Because we're 90s robots. We just make it work. We make it funny. Well, they're like, hey, be idiots in rhythm. And you're like, done. Like we were on a 90s sitcom. Of course we're going to be idiots. Yeah, exactly. Have you seen us Bollywood dance? Please. It's in our blood. You know, we can't not be idiots. And the best.
Part is we always do it in a place where all of the other casts are sitting around tables, like in the green room.
Just looking at us like, What is wrong with the Full House cast? Do you think they're always like this? Like, you can see people are talking like, man, sometimes they're sitting down.
Like, being normal people, and we're like, hey, let's dance in the background, you know, and with idiots. And I would, I'd only want to be in one place, and that is dancing with the idiots.
So, we had so much fun.
You even interrupted your massage to come finish that. They had a lovely masseuse there who you sit in a chair and she does like your neck and your shoulders.
Yeah, when you're like in between signings and whatever in pictures.
Let me tell you, it really, really does help because it really does.
Yeah, it's it's again, great thing about 90s con that they provide this lovely woman. Oh.
So you had just started? I had just started my little chair massage.
And those of you that know me know I love a massage more than any, like constant. And my neck is always a mess and everything. So I was really enjoying my little massage moment. I was like maybe two minutes in. And I hear we had been waiting for John to come back to the green room to do a particular part of the video.
And I hear him come in. Because I can hear, where's Jodi?
Where's Jodi? And that's the impression we do of John, where he's scratching his head and messing with his hair.
So I heard him say, where's Jodi? And I was like, ah, shit.
So I literally said to her, I was like, I never do this.
Can you hold on a moment while I go shoot a TikTok? And she was like, okay, yeah.
Um luckily she's there every year so she's wasn't like this person's crazy but we did it and then the best part was i'll be right back and then i.
Just sat down and completely forgot and she came over and she was like we don't have to finish i was like oh my god i totally forgot yeah.
So yeah adhd uh i don't even remember things i enjoy.
It was chaotic there was a lot happening so but the tiktok was great uh tiktok was great it was so fun um And we went to dinner as a cast on the Saturday night.
We did.
Jeff flew in. In a people aquarium. In a private room. It was a private room. Yeah, private room, but three sides of it were glass.
And so we said we felt like a human aquarium.
We were. Yeah. But it was lovely. It was a great, great dinner. Jeff flew in because we're rarely all together in the same place at the same time. On the East Coast. So he, yeah. Yeah.
So he was already in New York for some reason. And so he just hopped on a little flight.
No, he came from Miami. No, he was in New York for some reason. And then he went back to New York. OK, got it. And then he got sick. And that was a whole thing.
But yes, we had dinner and we are discussing what to do for the 40th anniversary of Full House next year.
And as usual, it's really easy to get a group consensus. Right.
We have a lot more arguing to do, a lot more discussions to have. Nothing is finalized.
We got to hash some things out between the family to figure out what the hell we're going to do.
But we are going to do something. We're going to do something. We just don't know what yet.
We're going to do something to celebrate the 40th anniversary year of Full House, which is next year, 2027.
I know. September 2027. Amazing.
Yeah.
I can't believe it's in 40 years. That's because, you know, we're still in our 20s. So I don't know how that math works. That sitcom math is. It's weird that I was not even born yet and on TV. So strange. Yeah. you had a fan, a, a, a, a shout out, a fat, a fat out. I had a fat, a fat out, a shout out to a fan or Rito.
There we go.
Shout out to a fan or Rito, uh, Jerrica Ralston, uh, who feels like she offended Jodi when she met her, and.
It's keeping her up at night. What did you do, Jerika?
Nothing that I remember, so obviously you didn't offend me. And also, my darling, darling Jerika, when I tell you that it is.
Nigh impossible to offend me, Truly. It's very hard.
I want you to let that go, please. I'm not thinking about it. I don't remember it. And I'm sure whatever it was, if you thought it was offensive, I probably thought it was hilarious.
So that's her love language.
My love language is is saying something wildly inappropriate.
So you fit right in, Jerrica. Jerrica, you fit in. It was so normal. I don't even remember it. So, yeah. So don't worry, honey. You're good. No anxiety necessary. No anxiety.
We had the greatest fanaritos coming through our line. We had a sweet girl from Iceland who came to visit us with the most beautiful blonde hair, blonde curly hair.
Like looking like a Norse, like just like a like something in a book. Right. Yeah.
Lilia, I believe is her name. L-I-L-Y-A, which she said was Lily in, you know.
English. She was so poised and so grown up and so sweet.
Right?
We had some German fans come through. We had German fans come through. Peruvian fans. Yeah. Puerto Rican fans.
Yeah, we had some amazing, amazing fans and a ton of fan-aritos that listened to the show.
So thank you guys so much.
Yeah.
I have some amazing, amazing gifts.
Oh, One that I definitely want to hold up is my version of what you have behind you, which is a young lady did an incredible job drawing our names with very iconic moments of our characters.
There's the car through the kitchen.
And there is a drawing, which is excellent, of me in the vat of tomato soup after the skunking holding a baby. And I'm going to take a picture of it because I need you to look at my face.
That's... It's so good.
That's accurate. That's how you looked during the taping?
Yes.
And then, oh, and an incredible Jess Mueller....
Created these really beautiful, like beaded.
Collages for us.
And I just wanted to give her a huge shout out because I know that that must have taken a very long time and probably an amount of patience I do not have.
But yeah.
So sweet.
So many sweet gifts. I met a lot of ARMY, BTS ARMY people. I got a Muppet Christmas Carol salt and pepper shaker. Look at that. That's so perfect. It matches the sweater I got.
Just saying.
I love it. Yeah. I saw a lot of ARMY. Lots of ARMY. And I got a lot of little freebies, little gym and gym and freebies. And it was very sweet. I love ARMY. They're just so. So wonderful. And I got a note I want to read from an.
ARMY who is just, she really captures the spirit of everything we've been talking about. She says, Andrea, thank you for the art you've shared with so many of us over the years. Art has this beautiful way of crossing time, distance, language, and generations, bringing people together in places we never could have predicted. Finding out that your ARMY made me feel wonderfully full circle. Someone whose art has brought me so much joy, finding joy in the art of BTS. Maybe that's what art does best. It keeps traveling, keeps connecting us, and keeps carrying a little more light into.
The sun, which is a song, a BTS song. Okay, got it. Thanks for explaining it. I hope this little Jimin gift makes you smile. Love, Sarah.
She's a J-Hope bias with a Jimin bias wrecker.
But OT7. Which is all like BTS.
I was going to say that feels like some sort of astrological sign. It's like a full chart reading, like stations of the sun and you're rising and you're Neptune.
And you're all of that. Exactly. But what a great sentiment, you know, just about the importance of art. Seriously, that's beautifully written too, by the way. Sarah, you're a great writer. She's a great writer. I just thought it captured perfectly. I hope it wasn't AI. No, I'm just kidding. No, you were. I don't think so.
No, I don't.
Not not Army.
No, no, no.
I tease. I tease.
But yes, it's just thought, you know, art is so important. We've been talking about it a lot with the Coney at Detroit and just like how the arts are being cut. And it's so important to make us feel connected as humans.
Yes.
As humans, we need art. Art made by humans for humans. Yeah.
Sentences I never thought I'd have to utter in my lifetime. But yeah, but this was such a great con. I absolutely loved spending time with everybody. I mean, even our trips, our flights back and forth. Me, John, Lori and Scott flew out there together.
And then you and me and Scott flew back.
Yeah.
And it was fun. Hilarity on on both sides. It was great. I just, I love, I love all of us so much. I love the cast so much. I really do. And I love our fans. And it just felt like one big family reunion at 90s Con. Yeah. It was the best time.
And I think the fun thing is, is this coming year, we're going to get to see a lot of each other celebrating the 40th anniversary.
Yeah.
Woohoo.
Love it. All right, everybody.
So excited. That is our sort of long minisode, but there was so much to cover for 90s Con. And we had so much fun that we wanted to make sure to try and get it all in. Uh, so thank you so much for listening. If we got to meet you this weekend in Hartford, giant hugs to you. Thank you so much, um, for, for being a fan of Rito and for being a fan of the show, both full house and this one. Uh, yeah, y'all are amazing.
So if you want to find us on Instagram, check out at how rude podcast, or you can find us, uh, by sending us an email at how rude Tanner Rito's at gmail.com, uh, like, and subscribe to the podcast, all that fun stuff. Again, thank you for the lovely gifts and, and little bracelets and homemade things just they mean the world.
To us um so no the notes yes several of you wrote us letters and it's so sweet we love them.
Uh so remember everybody the world is small but the house is full of fan love.
Oh yeah just full of it warm fuzzy complete with cute little.
Beaded things and drawings and hugs and and uh outfits the whole thing.
There's a lot of love in this room Yeah.
Just full of it.
Thanks, Vanneritos.
Thanks, guys.
We love you guys.
Bye.
Bye.
Bye.
Bye.
