Hey, this is Dakota.

And this is Riley, your favorite OK Storytime host. And we got some great stories coming up.

But before that, we have a quick two-minute break from the sponsors that keep this show alive. My husband is obsessed with his boss's daughter and she got him fired.

Did he make a wish for her?

Oh, because of the movie. One wish willow alert.

For some context, I, 29, and my husband, 34, work for a small garment firm here.

Garment? Garments.

We were both recommended through a relative of mine. I have been working here for about six years and my husband about seven.

He's warming it up, folks. Go ahead and give it to him, Riley. That's the one he gets every week.

That's his one wish willow.

That was so worth that. Oh, my God. So worth it.

During that time, our boss would occasionally bring his then teenage daughter to work around- Oh, no, no, no, no, no.

No, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. We have a chance.

18?

15-ish.

All bad.

It's still all bad.

That's not good.

No!

Yeah, don't be like, there's still a little bit of a chance. No.

Wait, wait, wait. We still got a chance. What state are they in?

What country are they in?

Well, this was when they first met. This was when they first met. When the boss first brought his daughter around, she was about 15.

Okay, okay.

And he was showing her what we were doing and how things work. Fast forward to January of this year. The boss brought her in officially, letting us know that she will be taking over a good deal of his work. We were initially hesitant, considering she was so young, having turned 20 this year. But ultimately, she wasn't taking over so much as learning to handle the business. It helped that she was very keen on cooperating. and taking advice, often holding meetings to discuss things and making sure she was the last to leave work almost every time. By the way, this comes from throwawayack1time, and if you want to submit your own stories, go to the r slash okstorydom subreddit.

I'm Dakota.

I'm Riley.

I'm Keon.

And we are going to read this story and have our thoughts and give our advice goofily, but we don't have all the answers.

We only know what we do, so let us know what you think in the comments.

It's the dark side of a Hallmark movie.

Oh, no.

Oh, no.

Yeah, this is the reject pile, the Hallmark corporate. The issue started a few months after she began. She would occasionally hold office events just to lighten the mood. And this earned her a lot of praise from all of us.

Hey, can't blame her.

Everyone likes a nice little uplifting, how we all doing?

We were all talking about her, so it didn't feel too weird at first when my husband joined in. How impressive it is that she's so young but so mature. How she's been a breath of fresh air in the office. With hindsight, it seems like that was just his in on talking about her with me in general. Every now and then, he'd start singing her praises at home. A huge talking point always being how she is so mature for her age.

Oh, wow.

Even pointing out how we weren't that mature at that age.

Guys, why are we reading a scary story in, uh, not in October right now? This is spooky.

She is 20 now, but he met her when she was 15. Don't care.

She's disgusting.

Don't care.

He's 26, right?

He's, like, 30.

I think OP was 29.

He's 30-something.

34.

34.

Oh.

34.

That is literally kindergarten to high school.

Yeah, you've got an entire scholastic career in between you guys. Two.

Two?

Because kindergarten through high school.

That's 12 years. 12 years in community college.

Oh.

Or, wait, kindergarten.

That's 13. Sorry, always get scholastic career. You got held back one grade.

As is custom and is tradition.

Yeah, everyone gets held back in the second grade, right?

I didn't take it.

No.

Preschool oh and preschool sorry we forgot about preschool just sorry getting the fundamentals down here preschool to senior year can we agree with that.

It's like uh twilight like uh he said he saw her when she was a baby and he's like.

One day that will be my wife.

I imprinted on her it's not it's not weird i just imprinted let me just get it she liked it what what jacob I didn't take it much to heart until one time I joked that it was fine if he was immature at times and that I would love him regardless.

And his response was, well, I mean, you were too, unlike her. And this slowly spiraled going from her maturity to her looks. Once out of insecurity, I asked if he thought she was prettier than me. And he gave me a, of course, you're attractive to me. But objectively, like not considering my attraction to you.

She's prettier.

Oh, this guy's a professional foot.

In his mouth kind of guy.

Two feet.

Oh. He went 10 toes all the way down in his mouth.

This is just the stuff you think and don't say ever.

Yeah.

That's the, of course you say, no, you're beautiful. I literally, every other woman on earth doesn't exist.

Even if you think it, you work on rewiring your brain so you don't think that way.

I guarantee you. You'd be like, babe, I'm being at least honest. Honesty is like the best policy.

No, not here.

We work in garments. You work in garments.

We ended up having a fight where I essentially banned him from bringing her up with me if it wasn't work related. He also started taking extra work and working overtime.

We need the money. No, we need the money.

So he can start talking about her more. Yeah, I know.

This dude goes up to her and is like, yeah, how's the weather?

These are all incredibly worrisome signs. While I initially just thought it was to earn extra money, I later found out it was simply because He knew she usually heads home late too after most, if not all, office employees left.

Fast forward to a few days back.

My husband was out with his friends and my laptop was at the repair shop, so I used his laptop without permission.

Here we go.

It's always the laptop. It's always the iPad.

Yup.

Yup. We are relatively free with each other's devices, so I didn't think much of it. I opened his PC folder, and on the left quick access bar, there was a folder with our boss's daughter's name. I had to click it, and when I did, I actively couldn't believe what I was seeing.

Oh, is it the equivalent of the homework folder?

Yeah, I think it is.

Yeah.

I think this is Pizza Hut, like saved on the phone, you know?

Oh, yeah.

I mean, it's not even Pizza Hut because he just put boss's daughter's name in a folder.

Yeah, this guy was not very slick.

Oh, my God.

Come on. See, if I have you guys on my folder, it's going to be folder name Painkiller and then folder name.

Spam.

Filipinos.

Yeah.

Okay.

Yeah, that's y'all's names on there.

Yeah, my body's actually been getting a lot better. I haven't had a headache in a long time.

Oh, I just meant because of your last name.

Oh, I thought you meant because I'm always hurt.

Okay.

Maybe you should change your last name.

That could probably help.

Dakota, I'm in pain.

Anyway, OP finds this folder.

It's a folder of over a thousand pictures of Boss's daughter. Screenshots from Instagram and other apps. Any and every picture he could find of her. And an insane number of pictures just taken without her knowing.

Either with a.

hidden camera or his phone at the office. And then it got worse. What do you mean got worse?

Dude, dude. What? A thousand? A thousand.

I'm checking my phone right now. I'm going to see if I even have a thousand pictures of my girlfriend.

A thousand.

Over a thousand.

Okay.

All right.

All right. I'm going to my collections. I am looking up Angie.

I have 2,228 items on my phone of Angie on my phone. Oh, that's cute.

Yeah, thanks.

Aw.

That's diabolical.

You know what? For this guy, straight to jail.

Believe it or not.

Straight to jail.

Straight to jail.

I'm in a relationship. You probably, do you have the, and we've been together for two years.

I can check.

Let's do a check. Let's do a boyfriend check. Do you, you know how to look this up?

I don't really do photos, but yeah.

Oh, so go on your photos app.

Yeah.

Oh, I'm not, I am not a picture taker.

Oh, you're not?

I think my phone's over there anyway.

Okay, okay, okay.

But it's nowhere near. Over 1,000 is an absurd.

Because you got 2,000 pictures of your girlfriend of two years. This is his boss's daughter who just started working there like this year.

Okay, I have a terabyte.

On my phone full of my son and my dogs. I have 14,000 pictures of my boyfriends.

Still?

Yeah.

Stalker, yeah, please tell me they don't have kids. How does it get worse? I can tell you how it gets worse.

Yeah.

And you know how it gets worse, too.

I think.

I don't want to know.

There's really a handful of possibilities rattling around in my head.

Oh, I got just one.

How many do you have?

I have about, like, 300 photos of Carly.

Just press the more. I think make the worst. Because it just shows, like.

The one. Do, like, the more? Show more? Do I need to.

No, no, no, because I have it under her name.

No, no, no, it goes Angie.

And like here, if I do this, Keon, I go Angie, 500, and I go here to show all at the bottom.

Oh, yeah.

Maybe I don't have that because my phone's older.

Okay.

Yeah.

Okay, so around 300.

Around 300. Probably a little bit more.

What do you guys have? Let us know. Oh, no.

It gets worse, folks. It gets worse.

I used search to look up her name and found something that turned any form of sorrow I would have felt into pure disgust. He had a folder poorly hidden deep inside a number of folders full of photoshopped pictures of her.

Oh no!

Dude, this is bad.

This is straight to jail. Immediate jail. Jail, ocean jail.

Straight to jail.

Some solo, some with him, some with other members of the office, and some just absolutely vile. I deleted all traces of me having seen or searched for those, took a picture of some of what I found- and left the laptop.

The craziest thing is one so easy to access the fact that op was like oh folder is named her and then there's more folders in that folder like it wasn't hard to like unlock like the treasure chest was already.

Open kind of thing it's like a guy who doesn't even know how to use this search function he's just like if i put the folder in seven other folders it'll be too hard to find and it's like he named the folder her name it's crazy.

Who do you even talk to first?

The police?

I acted normal that night, and then the next day I called up my cousin, who was pregnant and whose husband was away, and asked if.

She needed help.

I used that as an excuse to move in for a bit. For the last four days, I've been living with her. I can't stay here forever, but I also don't think I can just go back home and pretend that none of this happened.

What should I do? And there's an update.

Oh, dude.

Dude, dude, dude, dude. First off, I got to know, are garments just like sheets? Like bed sheets and stuff.

I got you, OP.

It was like clothes. Oh, okay, okay.

OP, I got you. You know what you do? You get one of these bad boys. You light it up.

Yeah.

Have that guy deal with him.

Actually, no, get the two. Get two of them. He deserves two Batman rounding him up.

That's crazy.

Yeah, I would immediately look up if anything he did is like a felony and against the law.

Like, I don't know. I don't know where to go first. Like, the police? First, you say, I'm leaving.

Instinctually, the first thing is talking to the boss.

Talk to him? I don't know.

I don't know who that is.

Honestly, let's be honest.

Don't know who that is. Not living near him.

He's gone.

Police won't... What would the police do?

I don't know.

That's why he's saying find a loophole or something.

It depends on how vile the vileness was. But, like, yeah, I mean, definitely... Shouldn't be around her anymore, ever again, forever.

The Lawyer Princess, is this better or worse than A.I. Korn guy?

Probably no. Honestly, I would say no. A.I.

Korn guy was doing it with his family members.

Yeah, that was its whole own mess. But this is equally... It's disturbing because they met her when she was 15.

Yeah.

So he's been thinking about it.

It would already be gross if she was like just like the 20 year old daughter. No, I think it's extra gross because it's like you literally knew her when she was a.

This is worse.

A child.

This is worse because he's taking pictures of her and videos of her and they weren't like. Yeah. He's obsessed with her.

Yeah. Everyone comment right now. What one way ticket are we taking this guy to?

Hadestown.

Well, we have an update. Oh, God. A lot happened in the course of a few hours.

I wanted to wait a few more days, but some of the comments had me worried that he might get an idea and delete everything. We ended up going over around 4 p.m., knowing we'd have a few hours before he gets back. I copied everything in the two folders to a flash drive and took a video of it being on his laptop, too. Then, as another comment suggested, we looked for my name, which came up with nothing but regular pictures.

How does that make you feel, Opie?

This is all bad.

Terrible spike of insecurity.

It's like, well, he didn't make disgusting, vile AI pictures of me. After that, my friend asked me to look up coworkers' names, and that hit some results.

Oh, no.

Four other coworkers, all women, but none to the same extent as the boss's daughter. All the folders were hidden the same way inside eight or nine layers of new folder.

We took those, too.

Then my friend pointed out that some of these Whoa, it's getting even deeper. So, yeah, not only is he obsessed with the 20-year-old boss's daughter he knew when she was 15, but he's been actively, like, flirting and messaging other women at the office?

No, no, no.

I think what he's doing is it's a ring. So if these WhatsApp messages are like coming in and like if you save something from like a platform, what it'll be labeled as like a bunch of numbers and then what platform it was saved from.

Oh.

So my theory is that there's other people at that job also creating these final photos and sending them amongst each other.

Because how do you get so many?

Yeah.

Oh, God.

Yeah.

Oh.

We got wood chippers, Dakota's option with the pigs and.

Tartarus.

Tartarus.

Yeah, I think, yeah, spaghettified by a black hole, eaten by the pigs and Tartarus, looked over by James Gandolfini's spirit.

Remember that?

Yeah, this is.

So I asked my friends if they would stay until my husband got back. They agreed, and I took that time to pack my bags. We waited until he came back. He was surprised to see us, but didn't seem to suspect anything. I think he noticed his laptop on the couch and asked, what was going on? I told him I saw some things related to boss's daughter and that I wanted an explanation. He tried to get angry at first, but quickly dropped that act. He said he was fine talking...

but only if my friends waited in another room. I told him, it's fine, and that if they heard any issues, send the drive link to the boss. This was a bluff, but I told him I saved everything on a Google Drive and wouldn't hesitate sending it if he tried anything. He kept asking me exactly what I wanted to know, and it was becoming obvious he was either stalling for an excuse or trying to see how much I knew.

I told him finally that I saw the pictures, the hidden camera pictures, and the edits. He pleaded with me not to get mad and to hear him out. He took a minute and told me that he had noticed he was growing more and more attracted to her and that he struggled with these emotions a lot, which is why he did that and why he wanted to release his tension without harming anyone.

No, dude.

No, dude.

No.

No.

No.

No.

No. Okay. Personal story. I remember in high school, I would go to this one gas station and there was a very pretty girl there and I had a girlfriend at the time. Guess what I did?

Go to that gas station every day?

I went to another gas station.

Smart. And that's the way you do it, folks.

I struggle with these emotions, so I needed to make a reality out of pictures.

Out of a thousand plus pictures, more than just that.

His argument is this was my healthy way of dealing with these emotions?

This is how I cope. Take it or leave it.

Oh, my God. What?

What?

I then asked to see his WhatsApp and the color on his face almost drained.

He told me I knew he didn't use WhatsApp.

I told him I checked his Google Play to see what apps he had installed, which was another lie, but I was sure he was using it. After a bit, he handed me the phone and told me not to overreact.

Wow.

I'm not sure there's a way to do that. That's like one of the top things to do when you're arguing with your partner. Don't overreact. Stay calm.

I searched around for a while. It wasn't even on the home screen, but in a folder on the third page. This guy and his folders, dude. He thought that was like the ultimate cyber security play.

Dude, I don't want to give this advice. A simple Google search on how to lock a folder would... I can't even give that advice, but that's... Face ID.

Thank God this man is too technologically illiterate to hide his disgusting behavior. I opened the app to find one group chat with three other colleagues from his team.

Riley was on the money. It was filled with pictures of this girl.

Creep shots taken from different areas from that area. Same day. Literally a few minutes before he handed me the phone. A lot of it was about wanting to sleep with her as a kind of revenge on the boss. And scrolling up, it kept getting worse. Yeah, I think at this point, maybe all of those guys need to go to jail. Yeah, I think, oh, I was just trying to do something so I wouldn't hurt anybody. Straight to jail.

Jail.

I believe it. I believe it with my whole heart. You know what you do?

Sorry, I didn't want to interrupt. Release the files.

Release the files.

Or just release who's looking at the files.

Yeah, you honestly need to. You need to.

You know who I feel the worst for, though? The boss. Really?

Really?

I was going to say the daughter.

Well, yeah, of course. I would feel.

No, no, no.

I mean, yes, the daughter is up there, but I feel bad for the boss because this is a guy that cares for his daughter because he was like, I'm going to take my daughter under my wing and show her the business. I want her to stay late. I want her to see what good hard working is. And then over that course of time, he's going to teach her Oh, I'm going to show you like how to manage a team, how to work with people, all these things.

And she's already taken initiative on this. I'm going to go in a little soapbox. I'm sorry. She's already taken initiative on this and done like fun parties to like keep the vibe alive, you know, interact with people being very nice and sweet. And then he allowed these three creeps to be around her and had no idea.

He had no idea. He had a cabal of creeps.

Yeah.

And he was trying to keep working at his garment industry.

Right.

Right.

And he was trying to keep a safe place for her?

It's those closest to you.

Oh, dude, I'd feel so, so incredibly mad if.

I was my dad. I think we have to tell the boss.

Oh, absolutely.

But we have to do it in a very delicate way, right? Like, there's no way, like, hey, here's what's going on kind of thing, and here are all the, yeah, like.

No, I think you do exactly that. I think you need to go to your boss and be like, you need to sit down, because what I'm about to tell you is going to really suck.

There should be a lot of changes going on And you're not going to, I don't know how you're going to feel, but it's really bad.

So prepare yourself.

20 exactly cowboys.

He kept apologizing and telling me he loved me and that this was all just to keep himself in control.

A thousand photos. This is control?

What's uncontrol?

And that it was ultimately just harmless fantasizing.

I only caught bits and pieces of what he was saying before turning on the screen recorder and scrolling. The conversation predated my husband joining, it seemed, but he was very actively taking part in it. I got a good chunk of it, but it didn't seem to end, so I went to the chat media and And even that was a huge scroll of pictures. I sent as much as I could to myself, making sure it's saved on my phone. All the while, he kept begging me to forgive him and not ruin his life and career.

Sorry, I quote. our lives and careers.

I told him I felt betrayed and that I was disgusted at the man he was.

He kept insisting it didn't really hurt anyone.

I told him it hurt me and that if she found out, it would hurt her too. And he pleaded with me not to tell her. After a while, I told him that I don't see myself staying with him and that I want a divorce. He pleaded with me not to. I then told him that I wanted to take the laptop and he froze. He begged me not to show this to the boss or the daughter. I told him I wasn't sure if I wanted to do that, which was a lie. I told him not to delete the WhatsApp conversations or tell the others, and that if he did, I would send everything to the boss.

Ultimately, I want to talk to the daughter.

First and then decide how to tell the father.

We left with his laptop.

I do hope he doesn't alert his friends, but even if he did, it wouldn't matter since the screen recording has their names and numbers. Since nothing physical happened, I know the police won't take it seriously most of the time unless the girl herself takes action. So I intend to give her all of what I have and let her proceed however she chooses. A few things I did want to specify. Some people thought she was a minor.

She isn't.

She's 20 as of this year. And as she's directly involved, I think it's only fair to tell her And I would let her decide who she wants to share these with.

Am I worried about my job?

Yeah, a bit. Because my husband and I were both recommended by my relative and because I will technically be the ex-wife of the guy who stalked her to her and her boss. But regardless, I think it's still the right decision to make. There's a second update.

Okay, so my personal belief, the way I was raised, this verse, that looking at someone with lustful intent means you have already committed adultery with them.

I mean, that's his whole deal is he was like, oh, my gosh, I'm looking at this this 20 year old girl and I'm.

Like, wow. Oh, wow.

And instead of being like, maybe I should work through that in like a healthy and productive way with my wife. He's like, let me actually become a cyber criminal, like a conspiracy.

He said this was to keep me in control. disgusting a thousand plus photos.

And more yeah i don't know i don't know in control how do you i don't even know how you could stay in the same room with that guy talk.

To him i couldn't that's not i don't know who that is straight to jail yeah oh my god where does he find the free time to do that i don't understand what upsets me because we've read some stories like this and it seems that it's just who we know it's just what comes to light we don't even know what's in the dark.

Yeah it's uh It's a freaky thing, the dark. We have a second update.

Six days later, I ended up going to the boss's daughter. I showed her everything I had and told her I had the laptop too if she needed it. I could tell it was a good bit for her to process initially, but she said she's used to stuff like this and composed herself.

Wait, what? Yeah, just as a young, hot individual. She's used to people being creepy.

I don't know about stuff like that extent, but I think she's also saying that just to, you know, not freak out, I guess.

Afterwards, she asked if I.

Would help her go through the screenshots, screen recordings, and pictures since she'd rather not check the details herself.

And I agreed.

We sat at a local food chain and wrote out a detailed HR report about that team. She assured me that I won't be facing any consequences and to leave talking to her father to her. She asked if I would be willing to go to the police station if called, and I said I would. She concluded that chances are this won't do much, maybe a few days worth of jail, but that she would still be going to the police so that if they ever considered doing something, this could be used against them. As for their job, she said she would keep them on for a few days while their reports worked their way up and then fire them on the spot with no reference or experience certificate. And should they try... Future hirers will be sent the HR

report we built. After that, I spoke to a lawyer and showed him everything. It's not like my husband and I have that much joint property, so there wouldn't be much of a dirty breakup financially. So far, at least, things seem to be going in my favor. My husband did call a few times and text to see if I would reconsider, but I blocked him. That's the most insane thing. part to me almost, that those kind of guys, when they get caught, instead of just like eating it and just being like, yeah.

No, you're right.

This is disgusting and you found it. There's nothing I can do or say. It's like there's a reason I kept it hidden. I'm the worst.

It's just like, well, don't overreact.

Are you sure you want to do this?

Maybe we can work it out.

Reconsider.

Unbelievable. Unbelievable.

Think of us. Think of us. Think of our future.

Think of the life we've built.

Yeah. Yeah.

So after I blocked him, that's where the crap storm started. Calls and messages from relatives all letting me know that these things happen and that I shouldn't hold it against him.

I would love to know what he told them.

What's the real story here? What did you say to them?

I talked to my mother.

And found out that what he told her and a few other relatives was that I got jealous because he accidentally showed interest in the boss's daughter but never planned to act on it.

This guy just loves to dig a hole.

He just can't stop lying. What does he think is going to happen?

What you're doing is you're giving people paper cuts and she's about to put a.

Nuke on you. Yeah.

Coughing baby.

Coughing baby versus nuclear bomb. Yeah. This caused almost everyone to side with him.

Yeah.

Wait until you show them the evidence.

Yeah.

I ended up telling my mother and his parents the truth. My mother told me it's not like he acted on it and that this is nothing to ruin a marriage over.

I think we need to sit her down and show her some of the pictures then.

She brought up family reputation and the embarrassment of me being a divorcee in my 30s.

Mom's out of touch. That's super in vogue right now.

We ended the call on pretty bad terms and the family is more or less on the same stance.

That's crazy.

That's absurd. That's absurd.

Usually with news, whoever says it first or whoever gets delivered it first, that's what you go with. That's the narrative you take.

Yeah, but this is like OP's own family doing this. This is OP's family.

Well, the husband's a part of her family, though, too, at this point.

The pleasant surprise came from telling his parents who took my side. His mother apologized to me, telling me she was ashamed of what her son did, while his father told me he will make sure my husband won't be causing any issues for me in the divorce or in general.

And we are coming up on the end of this story.

Yeah, Calbot is God. Show them the truth. Leverence is with this man. Opie's mom is a pygmy.

Yeah, I don't know.

If your mom really reacted like that, I would be like, okay, what happened in your marriage that you've put up with? Because if you're saying that this is nothing to ruin a marriage over, like, where are the bodies buried?

Like, what are you doing?

Yeah, the fact that she's like, it's embarrassing to be a divorcee in your 30s.

It's like, I think it's more embarrassing to be married to the guy who takes a thousand secret pictures of a 20-year-old woman he works with.

That's the most embarrassing, actually.

Shoot, man.

This is wild. Oh, God.

I'm just thinking of the jobs this guy will be working at. And it's probably going to be any job that has no women in it. So he can maybe go work at a rig.

Ditch digger.

Ditch digger. Trash.

I mean, this guy is great at digging holes. So maybe that's his real calling.

He should just be the movie holes.

Yeah. I don't know how much money you make in the garments industry, but it's definitely going to be significantly more or less now.

This man deserves nothing ever again. This is insane.

Yesterday, the team were called into the boss's office along with some police. I don't know what was said, but they were in there for a long time. And by the time they left, they just looked defeated, especially my husband. It seems she did exactly what she said she'd do and fired them.

Your husband's like, you betrayed me. You said you wouldn't do it.

As for me, it's been rough. I get to keep my job, which is huge.

I guess the garments do make a lot of money.

The garments must go round.

The whole thing with family isn't getting much better and it got a bit worse after the firing. I have moved in with a friend while I look for a smaller apartment. As for my husband, I assume he'll be moving in with his parents. The apartment we stayed in was something we both contributed to. So without income, I can't see him maintaining it at all. Honestly, it's probably it.

And that is, that's the end of that story.

I can check.

Yes, please, please.

Honestly, if I did this and I went back to my parents, they would not let me live there.

I think they'd like, yeah, you'd be in jail. They'd like lock you in the basement. Say, go, you got a tent.

Here's a tent.

Yeah.

Yeah. They'd set you up with the. urban explorer setup. Yeah. I don't know, man.

Crazy.

Yeah. This is, oh, Jen Thompson's bringing up the definition of limerence. Limerence is an involuntary, obsessive state of romantic infatuation with another person.

Oh.

Gotta say, given the things that were being said in the chat and stuff about, like, it's like payback on the boss, I don't think it was a romantic infatuation. I think it was a disgusting physical obsession with this woman who was young and hot.

And, yeah, all of those people.

All those people involved in that should just be sent somewhere.

I don't even know, man. Not even, like, put them on the island.

Special place in.

Yeah, the one island?

Yeah, there's one island I know is not currently being used. Send him to that one.

The Three Mile Island? The one with the nuclear explosion?

Yeah, you know what? Send him there. Send him there. Give him some good radiation.

No update, unfortunately.

My wife doesn't want me involved in our kids' lives, and I don't know what to do.

Take the children. No, don't do that. Don't do that.

So, for some context, my wife and I, both 29 years old, are fairly religious Christians. But, She and her family take it more seriously than I do. Put your guesses on what denomination they are now. Before we married, we discussed that she wants a traditional marriage where she is a stay-at-home mom. I would be fine with her working, but I do believe a man should be a provider, so this is fine with me to do. And that's what we've done. She said she didn't like modern men who do things like wear a baby sling or push a stroller. And I said I was fine with that.

I don't like modern men who take care of their children when they're babies.

Dude.

What is pushing the stroller?

My dad was so upset whenever Ryder was too big to fit in the sling that he carries around because it felt like a big giant with a little baby.

He's like, oh, I was.

So upset when he couldn't fit.

That's a cool aesthetic. Hey, it's Dakota, your favorite good time boy host here.

We're going to get back to the stories, but here's three minutes of ads from our sponsors.

Our first child was born a bit over four years ago, and then a second a little under two years later. When our kids were young, I admittedly did not help much with them very much of the time. She had a lot of help from both her mom and mine, and I was also working long hours in those days.

And let's not forget, she told you she doesn't like that, I guess.

Yeah, at the top, yeah. So I never changed a diaper and maybe fed them a couple of times. If I tried to step in, she would generally wave me off and say I shouldn't worry about it. So I didn't. Her mom actually lived with us until my youngest was about six months old and still visits fairly often. Her sister sometimes comes over to help too. So she definitely has her village, so to speak of. But now that the kids are getting older and I'm working less, making more money, and I want to be involved more. But it's like she doesn't want me to do anything for them ever.

What religion do you... Like, yeah, I know they said Christian, but like what religion is just like fathers don't do a thing with the kids.

I don't know. Don't even talk to them. Don't even look at them. That's like lion religion.

Well, I can say she's taking her job seriously. I guess, but. No, with Christians, what happens is you have what the Bible says and then what the people that go to church say. And most of the time people listen to this rather than what the Bible says.

A good church is a good book club.

Well, the Bible does say some interesting things about the thing I always get is the thread mixing. It's like you can't wear clothes that have like a mixture of different like.

Is that in the Old Testament?

I'm not sure.

But it's like, yeah, it's like if you if you wear something with like cotton and like hemp, it's like sin.

You're on the team of the devil.

Oh, I would.

Sometimes like also in the Bible and the old Testament is like, you have to wash your hands before you eat. It's just like smart.

Yeah. But like, it was like sort of like smart sense. And they were like, don't eat pork.

It was cause like, Oh, you don't have the equipment to cook pork to the correct temperature. Thus it's going to be dirty and you could get sick. That's sort of like what the old Testament was. So I'd be curious to know if that's a new Testament.

I just, I'm wondering what she's hung up on.

I don't know.

It gives her this idea that it's like, You're a man. You shouldn't love your children or want to help take care of them.

I see you. Do we think that's because she pointing like their reasoning to religion or her childhood? Like her dad was never there.

I just got a crazy idea.

Oh yeah.

What if it's because they're not his kids and he doesn't want him to like notice.

Do you have a crazy couple and the kids have been mixed this whole time?

He's under the blanket.

He's napping.

Don't look at him!

Keon, I do believe that, though. The love that you see from your parents is the love that you'll have in your relationship. Also, real quick, Amelia, this is a perfect example. This is how I grew up, Amelia says. I am a stay-at-home mom, and from time to time, I ask my husband to help, even after working a long workday. I'm Lutheran, so is my husband. He's actually non-denominational in faith, but otherwise, he's a Christian. That's usually how it works out.

That's how it should, yeah. I mean, I went to Catholic school all my life, and then Everyone seemed okay. Yeah, for the most part.

She always brushes me off and says that's a woman's job and I shouldn't be doing that. And even say that our kids shouldn't see a man picking up dirty laundry or making them snacks.

What year are we in? What year is this?

Any other man this woman was married to? See, no problem here.

No, I don't. I reject that take.

No, no, no. Some of the scumbag dudes that we read about.

Oh, yes. That's what I meant.

Yes.

Some of the guys we've read about, I thought you were being like, yeah, any other guy would be like, sick.

I'm like, dude, what?

Yeah, because 50% of men are scumbags.

No, but yeah, like literally.

Statistically, one of us might be.

I'll take it. We're the cream of the top.

No, don't take it.

I'll take it.

Don't take it.

For the team.

You're putting poison on us. And yourself.

To the team.

No, no, no, no. No, you're not.

You're not.

We understand women's emotions and we help. We're helping women right now.

We're women doctors.

Entertainment.

Any woman doctor can make a woman doctor.

That's right. My parents have a traditional marriage, but my dad still did stuff from that time to time and I turned out fine. If she sees me playing with him, she usually doesn't look happy and tries to distract them from it after a little while. By the way, this comes from John316. And if you want to speak on your own stories, go to the r slash OKStories on subreddit.

I'm Riley.

I'm Dakota.

I'm Keon.

And we're here to read this goofily. And if you have any kind of religious background or don't or have problems with the story, please let us know in the comments. We would love to read them.

My favorite memory of church was when I was like 13 and everyone in the church.

Class had a Bible fight. Yeah, we were all idiots.

Oh my gosh. Sounds like Methodist.

Yeah, it's like we were just chill. We weren't taking it that seriously.

It all came to a final straw the other day when I had a day off of work. I secretly turned off her alarm in the night so she could sleep in that morning. I woke up early, bought her some flowers, and made the kids breakfast. And there was some for her too when she woke up.

Oh man.

Is she going to be pissed?

She's going to be like, I told you I hate my steak when it's too juicy.

I'm not going to lie. We haven't had spicy sleep in a while either. And that's part of my thinking here. But I thought it would be a nice thing to do for her in a nice morning we spend with the kids. And it was. I thought maybe... We could all go to the park later since it was just a nice day. My wife ended up waking up around 7 a.m., normally 5.30 or 6 for her, and came down to see what was going on. I could see that she was hiding her anger for the kids. She smiled, said that, isn't that a nice thing daddy did? But the look she gave me was gnarly.

Oh, you got to say that in like a very snarky, sarcastic tone.

But the look she gave me was glaring. Then she said to my four-year-old son, Why don't you take your sister to watch TV? When they went to the next room, she started whisperingly angry at me. What the heck were you thinking? Why would you do something like that? Why would you let me sleep in? Do you think I'm a bad mother?

Oh my gosh. What?

There's a lot going on under the surface here, isn't there?

I reiterated, do you think I'm a bad father? Why do you never want me to do anything with the kids? She flat out denied it and said that's not true. She just doesn't want me overstepping on taking women's work.

This dude, dude, she, this woman's brain needs to be changed. You, you making breakfast for everyone all breakfast. Heck breaks loose.

It's like, what are you going to do? Make me go on a crusade? Like, do I have to fight the neighbor with a sword? Like, what do you want? What is the men's job here?

Just make the money?

Never look at the kids. Go off to war. Yeah, men used to go to war.

Used to go to war. You should be in the Air Force right now or the Army. Women's work.

It's like, you're not getting paid for this. This isn't the 70%, you know, percent gap, okay?

Dude. This is being a parent.

I would, I blame her parents, Awesome Ashley says. That's absolutely what I was about to say.

I'm thinking this is what she did when she was raised.

Something clearly was going on in her childhood to make her think no man should have anything to do with any children.

Yeah.

Little house on the prairie type vibes what's happening.

Here no even then little house on the prairie type vibes at least like the men would be allowed to do stuff too this is some crazy stuff do Guys, do you think she'd be like, women voting? Bad.

Yeah, she's probably like, I would accept having the right to vote taken away.

I do have a family member that says she wishes women didn't have rights because she said, because I have to work. And if we didn't have rides, we wouldn't have to work. And I would be at home all day and I wouldn't have to work.

Galaxy brain to take. I was like, I see your point.

She's like, we had it made back in the day. We could just hang around at home and do nothing because we weren't allowed to do anything.

That was honestly a wild take because she's like a– I have amazing women in my life that are like very strong women that do awesome things. She was one of them. And I was like, what? What am I listening to right now?

She's like, yeah, I wish I didn't have to do anything cool.

Anyways, it's setting a bad example and I'm acting woke. All these liberal– Fathers taking care of their kids.

Cooking them breakfast.

Letting them sleep in.

Liberal fathers making them kids matchas and making them eat tofu. Sons of bitches, I can't stand them.

Computer, is loving your children part of the woke agenda? And all these other things.

She keeps getting, whoa, whoa, dude.

She's next door, down the street from me. Holy cow.

So I asked her, what did she think it's okay for me to do? and to do with the kids. She kind of stopped for a second, like she didn't really have an answer. Then she said, it's a father's job to be a provider and a disciplinarian. I was like, that's it? You think I'm here to make a paycheck and yell at them if they do something bad? And she got upset and said, no, it's just not my job to take over a mother's role. And it makes me less of a man and her less of a woman.

Okay, so then it's equal.

If I'm less of a man, you're less of a woman, then we can both be like genderless blobs together and raise our children.

Ooh, Dakota, that wasn't the right answer. She doesn't like that.

Dude, I don't know. With people like this, bro, they're on one of the pendulum. If you let that pendulum swing, bro, he's getting pegged the next day.

And that's part of the woke agenda. She's fighting the urge to peg her husband.

That's what everyone thinks is this pendulum has so much potential energy that once you make it kinetic, they're just going to go on the other side.

I mean, like... We're going to be.

One of us is going to transition. We're both going to be dads taking care of these kids. And then we're going to have to send them off and make them learn all these other languages.

It's opening Pandora's box, yeah.

Yeah.

Yeah.

My question is, did this just get worse?

Did you not recognize that your wife was this level of polarized?

It's like she wants to be a servant. Am I wrong to say that her mindset is like, I have to serve. I have to be a servant.

No, I feel like it goes more to she thinks that her husband is weak for wanting to parent his children.

Yeah, I do think so too. But honestly, I wouldn't go into soapbox. But honestly, what I would do is be like, okay, well, Jesus, the guy that we both are big fans.

Of, he taught the children.

He sat with the children and played with them and taught them lessons.

She'll be like, Jesus had long hair, so it doesn't count.

Jesus washed people's feets. Can't do that these days.

Jesus was a carpenter, so he had a man's job, and that makes up for his womanly attitudes.

At this point, we were both starting to raise our voices and I looked up to the next room and said, can we please try to calm down? We don't need to scare the kids. Can you honestly explain to me why that's a problem for a father to make his kids breakfast and buy his wife flowers? But she just got more upset and said, if I didn't understand that I'm not the man she married, I'm not godly. I gave up and went out for the rest of the day, walking around the mall and doing some errands. I came home and the kids were in bed and she didn't speak to me. I slept in the guest bedroom. It's been a couple of days now and we haven't talked.

Am I overreacting to this? Should I try to find some compromise with her or what?

Good luck. That's all I got to say.

Here's what you do. You become a caveman.

Ooga booga.

Ooga booga. I need to go hunt today.

I can't see kids. Stop showering.

Wear a loincloth. Let your primal self shine through.

Eat raw meat.

Raw, raw meat.

That's the that's what they don't want you to know is that the raw meat is what makes you a man.

Yeah. Eating as much raw meat as you can.

My honest take here outside of just clearly immediately like this is a divorce situation because she's like, you're not allowed to take care and love your own children, which is like I'd rather have split custody and be able to be a dad than stay here.

And I think.

If you did a, you know, church sponsored therapy.

Yeah, there we go.

And then you got the leader of the church being like, yeah, no, he's allowed to be a dad.

There we go. That's my thoughts exactly.

But here's the problem, though.

Here's the problem with that, though. Some churches reinforce what she's thinking.

Yeah, what church are we at?

Because here's the problem. It needs to be a church she's on board with. And if she's not on board with it, she ain't going to listen to it. And then she's going to be like, you're just getting more woke and da-da-da-da. Some people that have these mindsets are so dangerous that it's incomprehensible. And they'll just keep doubling down because they think that that's the right thing. And if they deny... what they're thinking, they're denying Jesus. And then like, they're going to go to the bad place.

Isn't that crazy?

Then they can't critically think and actually read. I go all day about this.

Yeah.

I think it's leaning towards a divorce situation.

Yeah.

I mean, if you can't, I mean, if this is a thing that's been the same this whole time and now it's just manifested in the context of your kids, like, I don't know if there's any fixing it, but if it's a thing where it's like, it just got like way more extreme recently.

I don't know. Yeah. Try to get, try to get it here from someone who will listen.

Well, here's someone from Reddit. Hey, this is Riley, your favorite Southern belle. We're going to get back to these stories, but here's three minutes worth of ads from our sponsors.

Both Feet Off.

The Ground says, This is the strangest thing I've heard. Not to me. You sound like a dream husband. I wish I could have a day to sleep in. Moms are humans and deserve time off and personal time, and kids need to see men doing chores.

Oh, why do you think about that?

Think about these kids not seeing a man do a chore, and then they get married.

Yeah. And then they become little taskmasters.

Hopey says, I hope I didn't make myself come off as a saint, because I'm definitely not. But I wanted to do something nice for my wife and kids, which I rarely have time to do. And to be cut back like this over it was very hurtful. JuliaX1984 says, Just tell her that trying to tell her husband what to do isn't godly.

Yeah!

Quote Paul's verses about how women should be quiet and never talk back to men. If she objects, she's not godly. Oh God. And Obie says, to be exact, those verses didn't say a woman shouldn't be able to preach in church. She seems to think the woman is queen.

Of the house.

My words, not hers. Crackpot Pory says, y'all needs couples therapy at a minimum, but I'm guessing she won't think that's very godly. Obie says, I'm definitely going to try and get her to see our pastor for counseling. Okay, good step, good step. I don't think there's any way she can disagree to that and claim to not be a hypocrite. I would never tell my wife to shut her mouth and do as I say. I'm the leader of the house, but that does not make her my slave.

Kami Blue says, make an appointment with your pastor and see what the religion you follow says about all of this nonsense. She has some issues and trust issues for sure. Was she ever mistreated by a man? Obie says, I think her father was a bit of an a-hole, but he passed away 15 years or so ago, so I don't know firsthand. I would definitely be making an appointment.

Their pastor.

Thank you.

Update.

Okay.

It seems like he trusts the pastor.

I think, again, what my first ICU is, because Opie said a bit of an a-hole, probably more than that.

Oh, yeah.

From what he can see?

Yeah.

Yeah.

Yeah.

I would love to just be a fly on the wall when you quote the Paul verses back to her about how she has to.

Listen to her husband. I would love to just witness that. Ooh. Bring that up in the counseling session.

Be like, yeah, it really, I'm worried my wife is unfamiliar with the Book of Paul.

Paul Atreides?

Paul Atreides.

Yeah, Dune. The Dune.

Lisan Al-Gaib.

Lisan Al-Gaib.

Lisan Al-Gaib. Yep.

Book of Lisan Al-Gaib.

Dude, this is crazy. Hopefully, I just want to know what she says.

Oh, he says, unfortunately, things have taken a turn for the worst.

Color all of us shocked.

What?

A lot of things have happened since my last post. I told my wife I wanted to go to counseling with our pastor. She immediately agreed, and I could tell she thought he would agree with her on this issue.

That's why you'll do it.

That's why she agreed.

It's like, yes, we have to cure you.

Dude, no one wants to go to.

A counseling session and get told what they're doing is wrong.

They're wrong, yeah.

She really thought that they were going to go to this counseling session, and the pastor was going to put a helmet on him, give him some armor- and be like, you need to go take back Jerusalem. You're on a crusade now. Your time has come, yeah. It's a crusade now. It's crusade time.

Your time has come.

Oh, that would be hilarious. The counseling appointment did not go as she expected. When we got there, he let us both say our piece at first. She said in sum that I was trying to usurp our godly roles as a man and wife. She did not get into the detailed specifics about the kids. I say I was trying to be a better father. and husband and that my wife seemed to have a problem with me interacting with my children he asked me some pretty pointed questions about myself as a husband am i working hard and providing yes am i cheating drinking gambling no do i yell scream swear break things do i hit her or the kids no.

In fact it's like She kind of wants me to do more of that. She wants more yelling and screaming and discipline from me.

Do I stay out all night? Do I run away on fishing trips? None of that. At this point, he's looking at my wife and asked her if she has anything to add. She says, not really. I put in that I think I'm upholding my marital covenants as a man and a provider. The pastor didn't say anything about that, but kept talking to my wife. He started to get some real concrete details out of her. She reaffirmed. This is not a situation of mistreatment or cheating. She said it was effeminate for me to do women's chores and pick up after our kids, make the meals, and so on.

Not biblical. Dude, if this was my wife, I would be pulling so many verses to show her how backwards this is.

Yeah, I feel like she's an Old Testament kind of girly, not a New Testament kind of girly.

She's an Old Testament ankle skirt. She's in a hoop skirt. She's in the old times. She dresses like a Victorian.

Dude, if you told her that, she'd be like, hey, I think you're Jewish. She'd be like, ah!

No! Why? That's the Old Testament. Because it's the Old Testament.

The pastor kindly told her there is nothing unbiblical about that, but asked, does she feel like less of a woman if she can't do 100% of those things? She agreed to that. Then he started talking about biblical womanhood and feeling feminine before God and said... He thinks what we need to do is help my wife feel more womanly in general. So these activities won't feel like a threat to her. And basically that everything will be okay if we add more romance to our marriage.

Is your pastor saying get it on more?

He said, I got you, dog. Let's get you some more. Let's get you some more.

I got you. Yeah, your pastor said, I think she just needs to get cracked.

That's biblical. And he's like, remember, don't use protection.

And remember, missionary is the best.

It's the most godly position.

That's right. I think so.

See, face to face.

You're just like right there.

What's up?

At this point, I was relieved and felt like things were going well. But almost immediately, I could tell my wife was unhappy. She started arguing back with the pastor about Adam and Eve and all this.

She is an Old Testament woman. She is an Old Testament woman. Oh, my goodness.

Dude, I could go on for days about Adam and Eve.

Bro, she's not even Old Testament. She's just Genesis. Jesus.

If she's bringing up Adam and Eve, let's go ahead and bring up that apple.

Yeah. Say, why'd you do that?

How do you like them apples?

It wasn't really her doing it. It was Adam not saying anything and letting her do it. And then he threw her under the bus. He's a pretty chill guy and stayed calm. He said that as a spiritual leader, he wanted to guide her marriage back to happiness. And could she at least please give his suggestions a try and see how she feels about it. And we can talk about it Again next week.

Dude, the pastor's like thinking in his head, this is way above my pay grade. This is way above my pay grade.

Yo, man, can you come down here?

Yeah.

Can you talk to her, please?

Big G.

Big G, come down, please.

You know, her reaction to this is going to be, we need to find a new church. Oh, yeah. Oh, absolutely.

He pointed out some Bible verses about fatherhood and some about women doing manly things like running a business to say this isn't all black and white. My wife begrudgingly agreed with him. but I could tell she was still upset. He has a drawer full of papers with couples' activities in them, and he pulled out a few that he would say would be good for us.

Just a Kama Sutra.

My wife took hers but didn't read it. Awkward car ride home. The pastor told us to not immediately talk about the appointment because it leads to fighting. Over the next week, she started to be a little nicer and more relaxed, and I thought maybe she had read some of the materials the pastor gave us. I suggested we do an us day, which one of the suggestions the pastor had given us. And we agreed to send the kids to my parents that weekend. Well, that day ended up being the worst day of my life, probably. Dude, this guy seems.

Nice, though.

This is a man who just genuinely, he just wants to be a good husband and a good dad. And his wife is like, you, you little girl.

Man up.

Ha ha.

What, do you want me to get you a skirt? Dude, honestly. Honestly. Men used to go to war in armor with swords.

They never questioned it.

And you want to sit here and baby our children.

You want to take me out on a date? Disgusting.

You're gay.

It's like, yeah, I bet you probably like I can vote too.

Yeah, great.

Real manly.

Silence me.

Oh, my gosh.

That's what she wants, dude. This is weird.

At first, things were nice. I planned everything as the worksheet suggested, made her a nice breakfast, and had plans in the afternoon to take her to get her nails done and walk along the lakefront, which is a date we used to do when we were first dating. But that didn't end up happening because that morning we started talking about some of the big themes of our relationship and our values and goals. Again, as the pastor suggested.

I told her I wanted a loving relationship with a woman I could adore and trust who has the brains and values to nurture our kids, integrate adults, who loves me and is there for me. And I would always be there for her.

Oh, she's going to love that.

Oh, I can't wait to see what her answer to this is.

She said you're bringing up feelings and emotions.

There you go. The pastor was confused.

He ain't cheating, lying, or gambling. Sly up. Oh, the problem's not him?

I absolutely love the biggest thing that the pastor said was, bro, you need to crack. That'll fix all of this.

A little more romance.

Oh, my God. Oh, my God.

Oh, my God.

Sorry, real quick.

I do know a couple that they do not have intercourse unless they are having another kid.

And they're Christian. That's it? That's it?

That's very by the books, you know? Well, that's not even in the Bible.

It says once you're married, anything, have at it.

We're strict procreators.

She might be one of those too. Oh my gosh. But her answer was completely focused on kids. She always wanted kids. She always wanted to be a great mother. She wanted a good and trustworthy father for her children.

Okay.

Notice how she says nothing about having a husband.

Yeah, yeah, fair.

I pressed a little harder and asked, well, what about your husband? What about me? What kind of romance or relationship do you want? She kept deflecting and saying things aren't as important when you're an adult. That past a certain age, it's all about your duty to your kids. I disagreed and said, we're 29. We're still young. We should still have romance and passion and intimacy. My grandparents are in their 60s and they still get it on.

Bro, old people will get it on.

I love how old people get it on.

Her take is that, yeah, your bedroom should be ice cold once you've had kids.

That's the goal.

Not like the thing people like lament about. They're like, I wish. How did this happen? This is terrible. She's like, this is the end game. This is my infinity gauntlet.

We're at before 30, by the way. And she's like, this is how this is my life now.

Oh, my gosh. At this point, she obviously got very annoyed and was rolling her eyes saying, oh, that's what this is really about. I tried really hard to stay calm and tell her, well, no, that's not what this is about. But yeah. That's a factor in our relationship. I want intimacy. And don't you? She kept deflecting and she started to get upset in a hurt and scared way.

I was asking her, are you not attracted to me? Are you just not interested at all? No, I don't even remember how it got to this point. But finally, she ended up blurting out that she's not interested in men.

Oh, shout out the commenter who called that.

Shout out who called it there was someone in the comments who said.

That oh my god.

And it was she was she was just lean it was way up though holy cow whoever you were make it known who and they were like she's doing she's focusing so hard on the kids and excluding her husband because she just doesn't want a husband she wants a wife which she can't have because she's old testament girly Bro.

Oh, man.

I did not even see that coming. That hit me like a pound of bricks.

Yeah, I didn't think that was the case, honestly.

Straight to the, what's this part? Temple, right?

Yeah, straight to the temple, which is funny because we're talking about religion.

The temple of the mind.

Oh, shit.

And the temple of the soul. Yeah, Bug was the one who called it.

Oh, it's Bug?

Dude.

Guys, right now, everyone, clap to the chat for Owensbug. Holy cow.

You threw it out.

I'm jealous you got it. I would have, yeah, that's so common in the community, y'all. Dude, I was talking to my J with a G friend. We went to a comedy show, and he told me some of the stuff that happens in that community. I was like, what? He was like, yeah, sometimes we hit each other up on the app, and they just keep the door unlocked, and we just go in, do it, and then leave.

And I was like.

Yeah. Yeah, they got their own arrangements over there.

Yeah. Straightforward to the point.

Well, not straight, but... To the point.

Oh my gosh. I obviously... was stunned. And this is where it all started.

To come out.

Literally, I guess.

Oh, yeah. Boom.

Literally, I guess she kind of tried to backpedal. But I asked her directly, are you telling me you're a sapphic?

Are you telling me you're a thespian with an L?

Oh my God, and you guys are at the beachfront right now? You're going to throw her in the water? And she couldn't deny it. She didn't say a yes or no, but she started talking about gender roles and how important it is for children to have male and female role models so that they could grow up into proper men and women and not confuse or stuck in sin.

Oh, it's the self-hatred. It's the self-hatred.

And I asked her again directly to clarify. Are you telling me that you're a sapphic and you married me in a marriage with gender roles so that your kids wouldn't end up attracted to the same gender? She started crying and yelling at me. I didn't know how lonely it is. And she shouldn't be denied a proper marriage life just because of her sins and that she's repented and God will forgive her as long as she keeps working on being a good wife to a man.

And that.

of all of this is because her father was a bad dad and passed away when she was young. And that's why our kids need to see a real man in their lives. Wow.

Yeah.

And Opie says, well, that was a couple of weeks ago. We'll get into the update, but.

Yeah, I don't know, man. I think clearly the path forward here is divorce.

Yeah.

And, you know, trying to help your wife understand that it's like, that's not, that's not real. Yeah.

You know, you're okay. You can go, Have a wife. This isn't for us.

Yeah.

You're not going to live your life as a lie and be miserable?

You're basically punishing yourself being in a marriage with me.

Punishing everyone. You're punishing everyone. The kids.

OP.

Tell her to, you know, just convert her to Catholicism. And it's like, you know, the Pope said that that's cool. The Pope said it's alright.

The lawyer princess. Someone was sent to a conversion camp?

Maybe. Yeah.

I would not bet against that see my you know something interesting to me if her whole thing was that he was acting too womanly and too effeminate is it.

Just because like she was like oh i like i like him more now because he's being a woman she.

Was getting a little yeah she's like i shouldn't be attracted that you need to be a man who's strong and mean and i need to learn how to be attracted to that instead you can't be a man who loves his kids and takes care of his family and Because that makes me feel like you're a woman and I can't deal with that.

OP, maybe you just need to put on a dress.

I would be like, how am I now? Are you sleeping with me now?

You know?

Dude, this is crazy. Also, another note I'll say real quick. Sometimes with couples that are Christian, they don't really talk much at the beginning. And they really focus on getting married. That all these fundamental things kind of get skipped over.

It's rushed.

It's very rushed. And then they get married.

Because usually they're young, and they're like, I just want to get it on.

Yeah, that's it.

And I know a couple of people that have gotten in that, and it's like, well, you guys don't see the eye to eye on this thing. Why is that? And it's like, ah, you know.

That's life. We just never talked about it.

That's just life.

Now we're locked in with two kids.

Okay. Lucy P., the Bible says nothing about sapphic relationship. It only talks about not men being with no other man.

Wow.

That's the perfect loophole for her, right? Someone should let her know.

Well, that was a couple of weeks ago. As you can imagine, in the past few weeks, I've been, heck, there is no way I'm staying with her. And I've just been talking to a divorce lawyer and trying to figure all this out and how it would work. I'm staying with my parents because I don't think the kids should see us interacting this way. My lawyer told me I should move back or get a custody order. So, I need to work on that. CommentsJustLog85 says, Bigger question is for you. Do you believe that the issue is Is it your wife's a sapphic or a religious fanatic?

Your romantic relationship is pretty clearly passed away, but co-parenting is going to force you down some uncomfortable paths. Obi says, not sure what you mean by that. They're both issues.

Oh.

I can't be married to a sapphic, so that's an issue.

Okay.

Well, at least it's in that context. I thought he was about to be like, it's wrong for her to be that way.

And you're trying to tell me from raising my kids or teaching them her warped version of Christianity is another issue. My lawyer... or for custody. It's not about her religion or spicy related orientation. It's solely about her keeping me from the kids, which is why he wants me to move back ASAP.

Yeah.

Yeah.

Yeah.

Cause she will. Someone said earlier, it's like when the divorce happens, she tells the judge, he did nothing for the children. He did nothing to help with the kids.

Also shout out Ronan for being the consummate rage baiter in the chat.

Always love Ronan. Ronan in the chat being like, you know what? I'm on her side.

She's right.

He's doing hard mode.

He's on hard mode.

I love it.

I saw a comment earlier.

He said, I'm going to make sure to crack my wife extra hard tonight just in honor of OP.

I saw a comment. So I looked up if there was any updates or anything like that. And this is from nine days ago, by the way. This is fresh.

Wow.

I remember what happened nine days ago.

Oh my God.

It's crazy to think that that's just the reality of people in some places.

Yeah, like happening right now in real time.

Yeah, people feel like that right now.

Looking at a top comment here from Bin Ming saying, Wow. Yeah.

And OP responds with, And this is kind of sad.

He's like, I'm certainly reflecting on a lot of things about our relationship, and I wish I had been less blind overall. To be honest, I never had luck with women before her, and maybe the first red flag should have been that this pretty nice Christian girl wanted to be with me. Oh, no.

He's Quasimodo?

Yeah. Oh.

I'm sorry. You're probably not Quasimodo.

No. He was just like, oh, man, she wants to be with me? Quasimodo.

They're asking if we're supposed to switch now.

Oh, that's them downstairs?

No, we have another story.

No, we have comments.

Oh, we have comments.

Oh, there was only two stories in that?

Quasimodo? This guy?

It's the Hunchback of Notre Dame.

No, from the Hunchback. From the Disney movie.

Oh, sorry. I was looking at something else.

But that is the end of that story. Wow.

OP.

Dang.

Well, look on the bright side. Maybe you can be with the kids now.

Yeah, and at least you have them.

Right?

Yeah.

Yeah.

And so does she.

Yeah. Van Camper says, Opie, you got to hit the gym and get into therapy ASAP.

Agreed.

Yeah.

Agreed.

Yeah, that's a proper diagnosis.

Dang, Opie, you'll find a new lady that also doesn't want a lady.

Yeah. Yeah.

Hmm.

Yeah.

Dang, bro, that's tough.

That is unfortunately the end of that story. Again, it's a fresh one, so check on that. I'll check on OP maybe in a couple weeks or maybe months.

Sour episode.

We'll call him Ross.

Yeah.

But we have comments for another story. Who's going to read those comments?

Here we go.

Well, we've got some comments before we finish this video from the episode. My boyfriend humiliated me right before proposing, so.

I dumped him.

That was a good one.

That was on July 30th.

2026, the TLDR for Story 1 is OP thought her boyfriend of six years was finally going to propose, so she dressed up and got ready for their special anniversary. Instead, he criticized her appearance and said she embarrassed him by how she dressed. Hurt by his comments, OP left before the planned proposal dinner, leaving their future together uncertain. And if you want to know how that full story goes, you can go watch the full video.

It's a good one.

Yeah, and we have some comments from that said video. First comment here is from Beebrain. Nice. Saying, my husband proposed to me after I woke up from a nap. I was still in my pajamas. We just celebrated 14 years of marriage. My advice, be with the person who loves you just as much as you are in your PJs with messy hair as when you're dressed up fancy.

Yes.

Dude, dude, dude, dude. I saw a quote. Go for the person that'll be there for your worst day. Not your best day, but your worst day. That's who you're looking to be with.

High quality wisdom.

And another comment, being so wise. From Anna Holt 5673 saying, black jeans are not formal wear. If you're wearing jeans, don't throw stones at your girlfriend for wearing a summer dress. Oh, so husband was wearing or.

He was wearing black jeans.

I remember the story because we pulled up like I pulled up like what he was dressed like as just like random L.A.

Guy with black jeans and white T-shirt.

Ah, yeah.

Yeah.

She had a sundress on and he was like, that's not classy enough.

Jeez.

It was wild.

If you see a girl in a sundress and you have anything to say other than, oh my stars.

Glory. You are lost. What's all that motion back there? You are lost.

Another comment who's not lost is from Jacqueline Countryman 2976 saying, He can't say crap if he was just wearing jeans. Just because he was nervous and doesn't want to propose? Most women don't appreciate heart jewelry too much.

Yeah, that was his thing, right? He was like, yeah, I don't know why I said that. I was just really nervous. I don't know. It's like, maybe just stop talking at all.

Put in mouth. And final comment here from Brandy Ewell, 7421. saying so this is how he's going to treat you for the next 50 years every time he gets stressed about something I would never accept a proposal if it began that way if you.

Have anything to say about me and the sundress if I'm OP if you have anything to say other than oh.

It's not gonna work it's.

True This is true.

Wow.

What an episode, guys.

Those are the comments.

His sundresses are the lady version of gray sweatpants. Agreed.

Agreed.

Freaking agreed.

But they're classy.

But that is the end of that episode, guys.

Oh, sweet. So if you love us, make sure to subscribe.

We love you. And see you tomorrow.
