Hey, this is Keon. And this is Dakota, your favorite OK Storytime host. And we've got some great stories coming up. But before that, we have a two-minute break from the sponsors that keep the show going.

My girlfriend's homeless family moved into my house. Now I'm broke AF.

How did that happen?

My girlfriend, 30 female, and I, 29 male, have been together for four years. I thought I knew everything about her until a few weeks ago when I found out that her father passed away and her mother and three sisters are homeless. We were forced to be the babysitters of her sisters. At first, everything was fine, but it got worse quickly. The family budget increased rapidly. My girlfriend's sisters do not respect me. They cry and insult me.

They broke some deer objects. And it is hard to come home from work and find the house a mess and cooking for five to six people. My girlfriend's depression is increasing and she can hardly get out of bed. But I need help immediately. My salary doesn't even cover a tiny part of it. I am working overtime and I am exhausted. I asked my girlfriend to get a job or it will be impossible to continue the rhythm of the life we are having. By the way, this comes from Estrellente. And if you want to submit your own stories, go to the r slash ok story times subreddit.

I am Sophia.

I'm Dakota.

And I'm Savannah.

And I just realized, I think that was Estrella Ente.

Sorry.

$ 1. 50.

And if you're here to listen, we've got good advice for you. So listen close.

Yeah.

Everyone needs a job. This is OP right now.

Whoa.

And what this is, what this is, is a workhorse.

Oh, that's a workhorse?

Hold on.

I'm not a great artist visually.

What?

You don't say.

Okay, this is OP.

That's Opie. Opie says, my girlfriend is angry with me. She says that I don't support her enough. And my father tells me that I should be a man and face this situation for the woman I love.

I support your whole freaking family.

That's crazy to be like, you don't support me enough. I am supporting your whole family on one salary.

Literally straight up. I just go, you get a job. You get a job. You get a job. You get a job.

You get a job.

You get a job, little girls. I'm leaving.

You're not my problem anymore.

Goodbye. Go sell Girl Scout cookies.

For all I care. I don't know what to do. Am I the a-hole for my request? So far from the a-hole, I am so sad for you.

I cry.

I cry for you.

Tears. Yeah.

Make them all homeless again.

I mean, if they're not going to help and you're just drowning in this, the amount of work that they're putting on you. Relevant comments say not the a-hole. You shouldn't have to pay for her family's expenses and such. even if you were married. Right now, she's just your girlfriend. I'm outraged for you. Are you sure this is the relationship you want? Opie says, thanks. The truth is that, no, it's not the relationship I would like. And it's been a while since we were no longer good. Plus, she lied to me all this time saying she had no family.

Oh, wow.

Whoa.

Wait, so you went from thinking that she didn't have any family to all of them living in your house?

Not only did she have family, they were all homeless and now they live with you and you have to pay for them? Well, no, they weren't.

I don't think they were all homeless. I think they lost her father and then.

Oh, never mind.

Okay, yeah, that does. Okay, I missed that.

It's shocking because I'm giving it all and it's still not enough. Common Two says, take your father's advice. Be a man and make the tough decision of punting them all out to save your own sanity. You are not obligated to take care of everyone else while your own health deteriorates. Opie says, I don't want to throw them out.

I don't have the heart, but my spirit is broken and my body is at the limit. I think I've aged a year and a week. That's why I made this proposal and I can't take it anymore. Comment three says, I don't understand your father. Be a man? Did he have an experience of taking care of four homeless women and one depressed girlfriend by himself?

That's a good question.

Dad.

OP says, thanks for commenting. My father is old school. In that sense, for him, a man lives for his wife or girlfriend. And that philosophy is carried out rigorously. That's why he asks me to endure more. For my girlfriend whom I love, even if it takes me to the limit. It is different to take yourself to the limit for your girlfriend and your girlfriend alone.

Push it to the limit.

But he is pushing it to the limit for his girlfriend and his girlfriend's entire family.

This man is at his limit.

Have you ever seen a horse?

This is an artist's representation of what this guy's feeling like.

Yeah. Okay.

And I have seen.

A horse that was hurtful.

Well, I don't believe it. I just don't believe it. Harriet Spaghetti says how Dakota sees horses is very different from how the rest of us see horses. That's true.

Jump in.

Jump in.

But we've got an update, folks. One week later. Basically, I showed everyone that I hadn't even finished the first week of the month and I was already in negative numbers. Her mother explained to me that the same thing was happening with her sister, where her daughters go to sleep and they don't even have a mattress anymore. Or room for themselves. They were saving up to buy them. That's why they ate and lived during the day at my house.

I don't think that was fair. And we argued. Everything got worse when my girlfriend gave me an ultimatum. Either we did things the way we were doing them or we broke up. Broke up sounds better. than doing things the way that we were doing them.

Yeah, oh shoot. Oh shoot, I guess we're gonna break up. Oh shoot.

Oh man.

I guess you and all of your family has to leave our house.

Oh shoot.

Bummer.

Oh man, I guess we're gonna break up.

Oh man.

He's happy about it. I was expecting that low blow, so I started to sell some things to pay the month's rent. and the fine for leaving early. And I will wait until this weekend to move in with my mother or stepbrother. All this under secrecy. The situation is on fire, and I don't want to add gasoline to the problem. About my father, my stepmother put him in his place and apologized to me, which is rare for him.

Okay, okay, Papa.

Good.

Papa coming through.

Good pop pop.

Papa said, son, I've thought about it, and I actually think it's a little whack that your girlfriend is making you house everyone.

Yes, son, I realized I had drank too many Jack and Cokes that night.

I realized I was trying to pull myself up by my bootstraps that morning, and I got angry because I couldn't do it.

I couldn't figure out why I was feeling that way. I realized I watched Pies of the Caribbean.

And I realized I am in love with Keira Knightley.

I had to realize I'm not bootstrap built, huh? Oh, my. Oh.

Oh, wow, you got that at the ready.

Oh, my.

Keira Knightley.

She really had that Keira Knightley ready.

Oh, she's gorgeous. Honestly, I would have liked a nicer update, but no. Feeling like a stranger in your own home is the worst. Relevant comments. Comment one. Wait. Do you have a relevant comment?

I gave the horse better legs.

It looks like ancient drawings. Like if you took away the face, it looks like an ancient drawing of a horse.

So in a way, you're telling me I'm a classic.

Yeah, you're kind of a classic artist.

Yeah, that's a horse.

Comment one.

Are you on the lease or mortgage? What's your housing situation here? OP says lease contract, and I am the only one on the signature. Between tomorrow and the day after, I contact the owner, who is aware of the situation from what I found out. I will have to pay a fine or penalty. And this month, and see the situation of my girlfriend. I do not know what will become of that, sincerely. Common 2 says, dude, you have to talk to your landlord to get these people punted out.

But it might become more of a headache at the end of the day. Try and get out as fast as possible. This is toxic behavior on your girlfriend's part. And the fact that she doesn't have a job is wild. What about the mother? Why doesn't she have a job? How old are the sisters? Can they get a job? OP says, I'm talking to the landlady. We will see how to move forward, but for sure financially she'll leave me broke. And about the mother, I don't know her well enough. I know she can't drive, but I don't know much more. And my girlfriend, when she had her anxiety attacks and severe depression three years ago, agreed that she would be a housewife and have part-time jobs. She's not a wife.

She's not a wife.

She's not your wife yet.

You don't have children.

She's gotta be a housewife?

What?

That's, uh, dude, like.

I'm gonna be so for real, like... Are you colorblind, my dog?

I feel like it's so... I mean, I'm, you know, I'm not a doctor, but I feel like... Your wife staying at home all day probably doesn't help her depression.

No. No, silly.

Just a shot in the dark.

What are you talking about? Everyone knows the sun makes you sad.

Yeah, I know I'm not a doctor, but maybe, just maybe.

Look at it.

It's beautiful. Keep them coming. Keep them coming.

I made him cool. I made him cool.

Yeah. You don't have any cool guys.

No, not that guy.

That guy's not cool. Whoever that is, uncool.

Look at those lips, man.

Oh, my God.

What dog were they looking at? For almost two years now, she's... I feel like it speaks like this.

Hello there.

Yes, of course. How dare you speak to me in that tone?

Hello there.

My name is Paul. My name is Paul.

No, he talk like this.

No, that's my brother.

You're getting confused with my brother.

I am your only ground.

My name is Paul.

My name is Paul. You must pick me up. How dare you speak to me? I demand you pick me up. Oppies. Oppies.

Pick me up.

Give me the oppie.

My name is Paul.

Pick me up. Give me the oppie.

You will give me the oppie.

For almost two years now, she is not working. And the passing of her father made her decline a lot. Her sisters are 12, 5, 4, and 2. Two-year-old can get a job. Yeah.

Put that baby to work as a baby model.

OP said that, like, all of her sisters were bullying him. A 12, a five, and a four-year-old and a two-year-old are bullying you.

If you add all of them up, they can go get a job.

Yeah.

All right, come on.

So true.

If you add all their ages together, that's well within working age.

Very true.

I'm pretty confident that's exactly how that works. They can also drink. Well, I mean... No, that's because that only applies to labor. Oh, okay.

Why can't OP evict everyone else and keep the place? OP says that place brings back horrible vibes, memories, and feelings. Besides, if I stay, they would know where I live, and I fear reprisals, sincerely. I'm sorry, what? Do you mean that you fear that they're going to, like.

That two-year-old's got a real mean streak in him.

OP's like, I fear that they're going to come in and start singing the reprisal song. They're going to go, hello, we're back. We've come to stay another two years.

A's town.

No, they're just going to throw a Molotov through the window, dude.

Hello, we're back. We're throwing a Molotov in your window.

Please don't do that.

Hello, my name is Paul.

I'm throwing a Molotov cocktail.

In your window.

Please do not do this.

Uh, what does OP know about the girlfriend's family? OP says, I don't know her family at all. Just a few weeks ago, I knew that they were estranged and no contact for many years. Even my girlfriend said she had no family. At that point, she was destroyed in her relationship with her parents until the passing of her father.

And there's an update too, five days later. That is crazy to go from like, your girlfriend of four years told you that she does not have family and then they're all living in your house. I know I said that before, but that is insane.

Yeah, like that's an immediate kind of like we're done here type situation, right?

And like what was the conversation where she said all of my family is moving into this house?

That was it.

Okay.

All my family's moving into this house and that's what's happening.

Two, four, five, 12 year old girls are all moving into this house. None of us will get jobs and you will provide for all of us, yes?

They're basically 25.

Yes or yes? Update two five days later. Well, this update is better.

Oh, change that.

Change that horse to happy.

Oh, contrary.

Turn that frowl.

Frowl.

Turn that frowl.

It is good. It's a good horse.

Look how cool this horse is.

Look how cool that horse is.

Look, he's smoking.

This week was crazy.

Stop it. That's terrifying. Why do they give the dogs weird human faces?

This is what it looks like.

That one's the one that sounds like, hello.

Hello.

Hello. He comes into your room.

I've been outside for three days.

I threw up.

I threw up in the other room.

Mommy, I threw up.

Hello.

I don't feel good.

I don't feel good.

Hello.

Oh, we got more. This week was crazy. Due to stress and tiredness, I had problems with work, but I was able to talk to my landlady. We came to the conclusion that the best thing to do is to end the contract. She would be in the whole process of moving and all that, giving me a month of rent. penalizing me for ending the contract prematurely. So I sold almost half of my stuff. I would have sold a little more, but I didn't have the time to pay both moving trucks and all the fines. My relationship with my girlfriend, even living with her, was cold. I barely spoke and called her by her full name. What? You're like, Jessica Smith. Hey, Jessica Smith, I'm moving out today.

Jessica Smith.

Jessica, Jessica Marie Smith, I'm out of here.

Jessica Smith the 18th.

I think she noticed because she started to tell me not to leave or to forgive her. But I couldn't even look at her. I was a sea of tears the whole week. But I'm getting better.

Tears for fears.

Tears for fears.

A sea of tears for fears.

The day of the move, which was yesterday, the girls were not there.

Only her.

And it was crazy. Screaming. Punting. Insulting.

I love that.

I love the Will Ferrell movie pumping, pumping, pumping. Never mind.

Never mind. Punting and screaming.

I love the Will Ferrell movie, pumping and screaming.

I love the Will Ferrell movie, pumping and screaming.

I love the Will Ferrell movie, pumping and screaming.

Huh?

I flew up last night. Oh.

You know that, guys?

It's just like, yes.

It's just like.

Sorry, I'm working on it.

That guy sounds like this.

Yeah, I see that.

Yeah.

But my mom and stepmother, along with some friends, helped me in my move that was done in half an hour. Oh, I thought I had more things.

Dang, you got nothing.

Yeah, half an hour is quick.

Remember that movie, You've Got Mail, with Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan? You don't have any. It'd be like if you were in that movie, but the movie was You've Got Nothing.

You've got no mail. On her part, she called a friend and a mutual friend who took her things. In total, it must have been an hour of work and half an hour of screaming and crying. But thanks to my mom and stepmother, I could get through it without crying. Yesterday, I had to block my girlfriend and also her family.

I hope they don't keep bothering me, but with that family, I don't know. About my father, we don't talk and he didn't show up. I only know that they are not united in their thoughts on this. I don't know if our relationship will be the same. And now I'm living with my stepbrother and his boyfriend. I sleep on a sofa and I have a lot of freedom. I can go back to sleeping in boxers and instead I have to work at his business on Saturdays. But I have a house and food insured even though I am financially broke.

My nose got very itchy.

As one's nose does.

My nose got very itchy.

Can you scratch my nose?

Please scratch my nose. Please.

And then like one day he just goes, Mama.

Yeah, he grows up. Finally, I would like to tell everyone why I am precipitated in this situation.

You're getting rained on?

You don't know words.

Okay.

Maybe they meant to say, I would like to know, everyone, where I stand in this precipitous situation.

I'd like to tell everyone my preconceived notions about this situation.

Yes, contextual.

If I had a coin for every time a relative of my partner comes to live in my house, I would have two coins. Which is not much, but it is curious that it happened twice. Long ago, an ex brought her father, who lost his house. At first, I said, well, I have to help. But quickly, it became heck. We've got a little bit to discuss, but what do you think?

I think these people will be so.

I believe these people will be so nice together.

I think these people will be very nice together.

The family will remain together through thick and thin. It matters not what you do to them. They will have each other forever.

Give me another dog. Give me another dog.

Hi, guys!

Hey!

Oh, no.

Hey, I know you're having a party without me.

Hey, Timmy, we meant to tell you about it.

Hey!

But it's over now.

Oh, it's over? We meant to tell you about the party, Timmy, but.

Now it is over. You must go.

Why? Why can't we start the party up again, guys?

The party is not happening anymore. The party is gone.

But it's my birthday.

You must leave my house right now.

But I also live here. I'm your roommate.

No, not anymore. You are gone.

You're punching me out of my own house?

I am literally throwing you to the wolves. Oh, man.

I guess I'll just sit on this stoop and pass away.

That's probably what you will do. You did this to yourself, Timmy.

You're right, guys.

You're going to let that guy stay?

Without me?

That is my mother.

Oh, she's beautiful. She's beautiful. Anyway, there was a little bit left. That was really good, guys.

Really, really good.

Let's do it again sometime.

Thank you.

Thank you.

Thank you.

The man walked as if he was the owner of the house. He brought his friends to play cards and stayed all night on work days. He did nothing. He ate everything. He did not wash his clothes. His hygiene was terrible. He walked in tighty-whities all the time. And he forbade me to sleep with my girlfriend. He made her sick. Getting him out was difficult and very traumatic.

He broke things and made that month heck for us. But he left not before knocking me out in the street and humiliating me.

Oh, my God.

What is your life? The relationship with that woman passed away after that. I did not want to repeat all that again.

Well, you did.

You repeated it shockingly shortly after.

Like right away.

Right away you repeated it. You need to say no. You could say no, you know?

You could... You can try.

You can say no.

You.

But you cannot say no to me.

You cannot say no to me.

Hey, why not?

Oh my God, I cannot believe I'm still alive.

I'm outside the window. I didn't go far.

I thought just in case you wanted me to come back inside.

Okay, Timmy, I want you to come in, but not yet.

Oh, okay.

I am going to... You are going to hear a.

Lot of heavy machinery noises, but that has nothing to do with anything.

Give me about seven hours, and then you come in through the back door.

Okay.

Maybe they're making my birthday gift.

Why are you building another penis in the back door?

God damn it, mother.

What'd you say over there? We got another story, though.

My boyfriend gave me an ultimatum because I'm paired with my ex as a bridesmaid.

It's not even my fault. Trigger warning for mentions of child loss.

I-25.

Female, have been with my boyfriend Tommy, 27 male, for 11 months. He's a really caring guy and has always treated me well. Like any couple, we've had small disagreements, but nothing major until now. It's been in the minor leagues. We've been in AAA, AA, single A. For context, my older sister, Kimmy, spelled K-I-M-I. Cool. 31 female is getting married to her fiancé, Gray, spelled G-R-A-Y-E.

Weird.

Kind of also cool.

23 male.

Mmm. In three months. Gray happens to be the cousin of my ex-boyfriend, Levi. 26 male. Levi and I dated from freshman year of high school through college until I broke up with him two years ago. He had developed feelings for his now girlfriend, Tammy. 24 female. whom he had met in college. The breakup was mutual and there are no hard feelings. We're on good terms. I'm glad neither of you are making each other hard. I've known Levi since I was six and we were best friends growing up, sharing the same friend group. Because of that, I spent a lot of time at his house and his family became like a second family to me. Even after our breakup, his parents, two older sisters, and extended family continued inviting me to family events. I attended a few,

but once Levi told me that Tammy felt uncomfortable with my presence, I started going less. Out of respect.

This was before I started dating Tommy.

Tommy and Tammy.

Tommy, Tammy, Kimmy, Gray. And Levi. Kimmy kept going to family events and she was with Gray. That said, I still occasionally see Levi at small parties hosted by my best friend, May.

25 female.

May Parker?

May.

Aunt May?

May the force be with you.

Marissa Toe. May.

May?

She and her boyfriend, Hunter. All right, there's too many freaking names.

Oh, my goodness.

Relax with the names, OP.

Keep it at a minimum. I was trying to keep it in. My friend and her partner. We could have kept it that.

All these people aren't relevant, I swear.

They better all be relevant. He swears.

She and her boyfriend, Hunter, 26 male, are still close with Levi, so he's sometimes there.

We don't really interact much at these events.

Tommy has met Levi at these gatherings and has even spoken with him a few times. He never mentioned having an issue with it. By the way, this comes from user Dingus Zebra. All right.

And if you want to submit your own stories, go to the r slash okay story time subreddit. I'm Dakota.

I'm Sophia. And I'm Savannah.

And we're going to read this little ditty, this little tale.

Tall tale.

And we're going to have our thoughts and you get to have yours too. You can put them in the comments. Take a look at them.

Who knows?

Maybe we'll even respond.

Maybe I'll eat them.

Has a little morsel.

Okay. Opie says, now, on to the problem. Kimmy and Gray's wedding is a small intimate event with only close friends and family. I'm a bridesmaid and Levi is a groomsman, which means we're paired up to walk down the aisle together. Hey, is that what that means? Can't you go, hey, don't pair me up with my literal ex-boyfriend?

Yeah, we could say like, hey, I don't want to do that. Because if Tammy didn't even like the fact that you were at the family gatherings, I'm sure she's not going to like that you're paired up with your ex-boyfriend either.

Also, like, I just was at a wedding last weekend, and I got to say... Not a single soul is going to care how the bridesmaids and the groomsmen walk up the aisle.

No one cares.

They could be walking up two, three, one at a time. No one cares.

If anyone says they care, I arrest them. I put them under observation because that is an alien. That is a creature from a different planet.

For real.

I was initially a bit uncomfortable with this, but I love my sister and want to support her, so I put my feelings aside.

Literally, why didn't you just say, hey, could I be paired up with anyone else?

Yeah.

Hey, remember how I used to date him and he's my ex? Could I be paired up with anyone else?

My boyfriend's here. Levi's girlfriend, Tammy, is invited and she's totally fine with everything as the most interaction Levi and I will have is walking together for a few seconds. But Tommy is furious. Is he also fast?

Or is he too fast?

Too furious. Is he from Tokyo?

Is he drifting?

That was good. He now refuses to attend the wedding and has given me an ultimatum. Either I step down as a bridesmaid, attend only as a guest, or not go at all. What? I, of course, told him no. Yeah, I think that's... Dude! Hey, we're in Breakup City at that point.

Breakup! Again, you're a space alien, bro.

I get it's my ex, but we're walking side by side for two seconds.

Also, he could have been like, hey, could you maybe ask your sister if you could switch partners? Instead of being like, we're breaking up if you don't skip your sister's wedding.

I don't think he even said, well, I guess an ultimatum is an ultimatum. But he said, you have to either do this or do that or not go. Or else I'll be mad.

Yeah, that's insane.

So I, of course, told him no.

Get a load of this guy.

Get a load of this guy.

Why don't you get a load of this guy? I should get a good schwimmer. Schwimmer.

We can't hear the door, so.

You can't hear the door.

I thought the wind did that.

We were just all staring at the board coming. Okay, so this is my sister's wedding, and I want to be there for her. It's not my fault her fiance is related to Levi. Tommy lost it. He shouted at me, called me horrible names, accused me of wanting to cheat on him with Levi, then broke some of my things before storming out.

Oh, and that's where we break up. Bye.

Yeah, I'm breaking that. I'm breaking that relationship.

We're breaking up now.

Where's that sword?

Can you put that sword, put it forward? Just go like, yeah.

Yeah.

And that's your liver. And that's your kidney. That's your other kidney. Slice your nose off.

And this is your mother.

Beast.

Beast.

Foul beast. What? Beast. I cast you back to the depths from which you came.

Okay.

Just chill.

Just leaves. All right. See ya.

I'm going. I'm going.

All right.

If that's what you want. Whatever you want, sweetheart.

He's now staying at a friend's place and refuses to see or talk to me. Sick.

I've never seen him this angry before.

I've never given him any reason to think I'd cheat on him, and Levi and I don't go out of our way to talk to each other, so I have no idea where this is coming from. After talking to May and my friends about it, word got back to Levi, and he actually offered to step down as a groomsman to avoid drama, and I told him not.

To do that.

My family now knows what happened because Levi told Gray and my parents are furious. Kimmy is disgusted by how Tommy treated me. They don't want him at the wedding anymore. I've tried reaching out to Tommy. I hope to break up with him. I hope so. But his friend texted me that he doesn't want to see me. This reaction is completely out of character. He's always been a great boyfriend, but this whole situation is making me question things.

So am I the a-hole?

Oh, P.

OP, he broke things. He broke things.

Hey, OP.

He broke things.

I'm going to do it to you now. Tickle, tickle. Wake up.

Not only are you the a-hole, but you also owe me $ 15, 000. You owe him $ 15, 000 for how many $ 1.

50s you're owing him? Yeah.

What?

That's $ 15, 000.

I don't have that money. Or would that be $ 10, 000?

$ 10, 000 50s.

I don't have that.

Okay, I'm going now.

Okay.

Bye-bye.

My friends and family say I'm not, but I need an outsider's perspective.

You gross. Listen to your family, bro.

Everyone on the internet is going to be like, yeah, break up with your scumbag loser boyfriend.

Outsider perspective, break up.

I just wanted to get an outsider perspective. Did Tommy break any of your things the other day? Does he go to everyone's house and break their stuff when he gets a little uppity?

Did Tommy come to everyone's house and say that they suck and make them have an ultimatum? Hi, guys. I broke your stuff.

The bit never stops. This bit goes on forever. I broke your stuff.

Why have you done this to me, Tommy?

Okay.

Sorry.

I keep saying I'm leaving. I just get FOMO.

Kim Fine says the only Tommies are white dudes who cheat and or 75% of character roles played by Joseph Gordon. I love it. And you're 100% right about that. You're 100% right about that. And speak on that.

There's an edit here.

Thank you everyone for opening my eyes.

I'm going to ditch Tommy and back his things. I'll be contacting his friends he's staying with to fetch most of his things. Again, thank you. And this is my last edit. A lot of people are asking why I couldn't be paired with someone else. My sister and her fiancé chose the pairings based on what felt most comfortable for everyone. Since Levi and I already know each other well and are on good terms, they thought it would be the least awkward option. It's the dumbest thing. I'm sorry, that's so stupid.

Dumb dumb.

Oh.

Oh.

Poke poke. So we're not going to have anyone meeting anyone they.

Don't know at the wedding?

This is stupid.

You could just go, hey, nice to meet you.

I'm so-and-so.

Oh, I'm so-and-so. How do you know the bride and groom? Oh, I know my name.

Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.

We walk for five seconds.

Five seconds.

Thank God nobody was uncomfortable, though. Oh, my God. In a way, though, this is a good thing because it exposed Tommy as being a little doo-doo man. Tommy sucks. It wasn't done to cause drama, just to make things easier for the bridal party. I know Levi and I have a long history together. We've been through a lot.

I still care for him from a distance. but our relationship truly began to break down after we lost our son. Whoa. Ooh, no. Oh. That is hard.

Oh, we didn't, we, oh.

We, well, we were young. And while we stayed together for a few more years, things were never the same. Eventually, Levi developed feelings for someone else, his current girlfriend, and he was honest with me about it before pursuing her. We ended things on mutual terms because in that moment I realized I no longer.

Felt the same way either.

We simply fell out of love. It happens.

And there's an update.

Oh boy, I hope it's... I have started a new life. And I live in Peru.

There once was a man from Peru.

He lived in a little small shoe. Say that again? There was a man from Peru.

I have killed many men from Peru. What?

Update.

I packed up most of Tommy's things and texted his friend to come pick them up. I gave him two days to grab his stuff out of my home. He did not come the next day. When he arrived, he came inside alone while his friend waited in the car. My dad and older cousin were with me just in case. Is that true? Yeah.

I would have taken the money.

He said he wanted to work things out and start over, but I immediately rejected the idea.

Nice.

Thank you. I was going to have a conniption.

Love to see it.

If you got back together with this guy.

Yeah, that would have been pretty stupid.

Hey, it's Dakota, your favorite good time boy host here. We're going to get back to the stories, but here's three minutes of ads from our sponsors. I have little to no trust in him now. And for me, once trust is gone, the relationship is gone. I asked him why he suddenly had such a problem with Levi when he never did before, even when we attended family events and friend gatherings together. And that's when he admitted something I hadn't known. He had gone through my closet?

Weird.

Hmm. He was looking for something and came across a small flowery chest where I keep special memories, photo albums, letters, and small gifts from family, friends, and past experiences. Curious, he decided to look through it. Inside, he found letters Levi had written me, gift cards from family and friends, and a few drawings Levi had made for me. Then he found my two photo albums. One was filled with childhood pictures of my family, friends, and Levi from when we were kids all the way through high school, graduation, and college. The second album was handmade. Levi's older sister had made it for us, and Levi had gifted it to me. It was a green polka dot album with a heart and the letter L on the cover. This

album held some of my most personal and meaningful pictures of us as kids, in high school, and as adults. Tommy, Tommy, Tommy. I went through my ex's diary after like two months.

That is bad. You should not have done that. He said great things about me. You still shouldn't have done that.

He had just gotten it, too, and he was like, yeah. I was like, can I read it? He did let me read it anyway.

Oh.

But, yeah.

But then I also, like, went through it.

Because I was like, what else do you have to say that you're not telling me?

Don't do that. Don't follow in Savannah's way.

Savannah, I'm going to start throwing stuff at you.

That's a bad thing.

That's a bad thing.

I am your mother.

Get ready.

And don't do that. I'm throwing this cap at you.

No, no. Play defense. Savannah, you deserve it.

Good.

You deserved that. Learn. We're trying to teach you for your next relationship. Don't do that.

No, I need that back.

He needs that back.

I need that cat back. I need that cat back.

You don't have to smile now.

Oh, okay.

Okay.

He said that after seeing that photo, he felt like he could never compete with what I had with Levi, that no matter what he did, I would never love him as much. He said he never felt this way with his two ex-girlfriends, but with me, it was different. He felt like I had already given all my love to someone else. He said he noticed the little things that when he gave me gifts, I didn't seem as excited.

When he brought me flowers or a gift card, I would just say thank you, put them on the counter and move on. Unlike Levi's gifts, which I kept in a special box, he didn't seem to hold the same meaning to me.

How do you know that?

You want her to dry and preserve every batch of flowers you give her?

Yeah, that's insane.

You've also been dating for less than a year.

Come on, dude.

He even found one of the cards he gave me in the kitchen trash bin. I felt absolutely terrible when he said that. I never meant to make him feel that way.

That's actually a little crazy.

I never threw away anything he gave me. Everything he gifted me was in my nightstand drawer. Sure, it wasn't in a memory box like Levi's things, but that didn't mean I didn't care. Then he said something that really hurt me. He told me that seeing me pregnant in that photo made him uncomfortable, that it felt weird, and that he didn't like it. I didn't even understand what he meant. But hearing him say that was the worst.

At that point, I broke down crying. He had been holding in all these feelings, all this resentment, and instead of ever talking to me about it, he let it all bottle up until it exploded over the bridesmaid situation. I wish he had told me earlier instead of letting things get to this point.

That's stupid.

No.

No, you don't get to be like, oh, my girlfriend has an ex. Oh, my girlfriend has an ex, so I'm upset about that.

Yeah, I went and snooped through your stuff, and I found this picture of you pregnant, and it's weird and gross.

I don't like it.

I don't like it at all.

How are you going to say that to someone who lost their child?

That was also, like, three months. You held that in for three.

Months, weirdo. Weirdo.

I can't imagine finding that stuff and then feeling that and then not immediately, like, that night or that whenever, just being like, Hey! Ow! Found something, and I am freaking out.

I'm freaking out. What is it you have found?

I'm freaking out, guys.

Because despite everything, I did love him.

I told him that I still love him, but that he crossed a personal boundary by going through my things without my knowledge or consent. That memory box is deeply personal to me, and it hurt knowing he invaded that space. We had nothing else to talk about. He just got up and told me good luck to the next guy.

He's going to need it, especially having to deal with you. Yeah, this guy don't even trip, bro. You accidentally fell in love with like the worst guy.

Yeah.

And he was just pretending to not be the worst guy.

Yeah, he was just tricking you for a while. I love when they say that. When they're like, yeah, good luck finding anyone else. I'm like, oh my God. Oh, that's going to be easy. It's going to be, thank you for the luck. Like you're never going to find someone like me.

Thank God.

I'm not looking for someone like you. That's why we're breaking up.

May the Lord make it true. So that's Dung.

I had been nothing but grateful for him, but in the end, that is what he left me with. My dad and cousin stayed with me that night and I was grateful not to be alone. Right now I'm planning on focusing on myself. I also talked to Levi. And he actually came over by surprise to check on me. He brought me chocolate-covered strawberries, my favorite. And his girlfriend even crocheted me a little tokay gecko that looks like my pet gecko.

I love tokay geckos.

That's so sweet. Let me show you. They're so pretty.

They're really mean, though. Are they the little flat guys that go bleh?

No, they're mean.

They bite.

They have teeth and they bite. And they don't let go. They don't let go? They don't let go tokay gecko.

I want to see this tokay gecko.

Tokay let go, gecko.

Tokay gecko.

And they make a weird, like, they scream.

They go, wah, wah, wah. They make a weird scream.

No, they're so cool and pretty.

What happened next? What happened next to this story?

The Tokay gecko picture.

Oh, they're so pretty.

They're very pretty, but they're... He doesn't mean. There's something about him that looks mean. They're really mean.

I'm going to look up the noise while you guys.

All right, here we go, here we go. It was such a sweet gesture, I actually cried. We ended up talking for hours, playing my old GameCube, just reconnecting. There were definitely some tears, but also hugs, and we promised that we would be there for each other. Nothing happened between us. Levi actually plans to propose to Tammy in the near future.

Oh, damn.

He seems so much happier with her than he ever was with me during our relationship. Ouch. It's getting hot in the kitchen. I truly hope they get married and build a beautiful life and family together. They both deserve it. And good news is my best friend May and I are also planning a fun trip out of state in early June, probably to Idaho for a week as we live in Maine.

What?

That didn't make any sense.

I got to put you on.

Probably to Idaho for a week as we live in Maine.

That's not close at all.

So needs to study the Maine to Idaho pipeline. I'm not sure what that is. I'm not familiar with.

The Maine to Idaho pipeline. Sounds pretty close to me.

Sort of like people in New York vacation in Florida, people in Maine vacation in Idaho.

Yeah, I guess so. They're like, you know, I like from Vermont, so I vacation in New Mexico.

As one does.

You get it. You get it.

We're planning a bigger friend group trip as well. We're still figuring out when and where, since some of our friends live out of state. I am planning on moving out of my apartment soon, most likely after my lease is done. I'm going to be talking to Levi's uncle and moving into one of his small properties with two of our close friends for a fresh start. So, for the first time in a while, I feel like I have something to look forward to. Thank you all again.

And edit, I am not in love with Levi, despite what some people are saying. Just because I cherish a few things from the past doesn't mean I still have romantic feelings for him. Yeah, I hate reading stuff about people who are like, they just can't even.

There's nuance, folks.

Nuance.

If you can't see the nuance.

Then you should move on.

Yeah.

Whoa.

I said it.

If you can't see the nuance, my friend, you are stupance.

Oh, he said it. And he meant that.

Boom. There's a second update. Hello, small update. There won't be a wedding anymore.

What?

My sister Kimmy canceled it.

What?

She quit her job, pulled my nephew out of school, left the home she shared with Gray, and moved a few states away to be with her ex-boyfriend, my nephew's father.

What?

Kimmy, Kimmy, wild card. At the end of the story, we forgot. Kimmy's the crazy one.

Kimmy, Kimmy, Kimmy, an ex after midnight.

What?

What? What did you say?

That was so good.

Thanks.

I appreciate it.

Thanks.

We got a little more story left. Wow, Kimmy, Kimmy, Kimmy.

Kimmy, girly pop. What just happened?

Low key, good for Gray.

Yeah, I guess so.

You didn't want to get locked down to the insane 31-year-old.

Yeah, crazy lady.

Come on, Gray.

Oh, I forgot he was 23. He's 23, she's 31.

Yep, yep, yep, yep, yep, yep.

He's about to get locked into a relationship with a crazy lady and her kid.

Thank goodness she had the sense to do this to you before the wedding.

True.

True that.

Kimmy not only wasted a lot of money, but also everyone's time. Especially since she must have been planning this for months. Just a few months before the wedding. Both our families and Gray's are really disappointed. Gray will likely have to move back in with his parents. Kimmy is only speaking to our parents and I haven't contacted her.

I did try to reach out to Gray, but he has not been answering. I imagine he's still in shock and heartbroken over everything that's happened. It's understandable given how sudden and devastating this all is for him. I'm really disappointed in her, but more than anything, I feel bad for Gray and my nephew. That's all for now. And that is the end of that story.

That's the freaking end. Okay. By the way, this is what they sound like.

Oh.

Yeah. They like laugh.

That's scary.

No way.

They say, They say, Okay.

Okay.

Tokay.

They say their name.

That's how I got it.

That doesn't sound like Tokay.

Uh-oh.

Uh-oh.

I hear Tokay.

Wait, go to the next one.

That's what the turtles sound outside my house. They sound like Jennifer Coolidge.

They do.

I was about to say that. I was about to call them the Jennifer Coolidge gecko. Jennifer Gecko. Oh, not yet.

And that is the end.

That's the end of our time, folks.

Of that story.

My girlfriend's fear of intimacy kept us stuck. It's been years now.

Ooh, dry as a bone.

I love my girlfriend, 21 female, but I feel stuck and need advice, 23 male. I, 23 male, have been together with my girlfriend, female 21, for three years. We started dating when she was 18 and I was 20. Overall, our relationship is genuinely good. We love each other.

We get along very well.

And when we have disagreements, we usually talk about them and solve them. I honestly see a future with her and I don't want to lose the relationship. The difficult topic is intimacy. Neither of us have been intimate before this relationship. I've always respected her boundaries and I have never wanted to pressure her. And I don't constantly ask and I don't believe she owes me anything. Great man.

When she says no, I stop. The only spicy related intimacy we have had is that she sometimes touches me and I massage and touch her. She enjoys it and seems comfortable with me. But we have never gone all the way. Never hit a home run.

Dang. I mean, do you guys kiss? You just described like, yeah, we can centrally massage each other. Yeah, do you kiss?

Make out? The reason is that she is scared it will physically hurt.

Oh.

She told me she has never put anything inside herself before, and whenever things get closer to that point, she becomes scared and pulls back. I always reassure her that I will be gentle and that we can stop at any moment, but we have never really gotten close because the fear comes back.

Well, dude, there's other stuff. You put inside your body. Like food, water.

But not in that way.

Thoughts. We don't need to say we put nothing inside of us ever. That's just a lie.

By the way, this comes from throwaway7262712. And if you want to submit your own stories, go to the r slash okay story time subreddit. I'm Savannah.

I'm Dakota.

And we're here to talk about some stuff, get some advice, but literally we don't have all the answers. We're just going to tell you what we would do, but you should let us know what you would do down in the comments. As Opie says.

Hey, it's Dakota, your favorite host who's always on track here. And we're going to get back to the stories in three minutes after these ads from our sponsors.

The reason I am struggling now is not because I want to force anything. It's because after three years, I feel stuck and unsure what to do. I want that deeper level of closeness with the person I love. And sometimes I start wondering if she's not attracted to me or if I am doing something wrong. About two months ago, I sat down with her and honestly told her that this situation has been affecting me. We both got emotional because she thought I was going to break up with her.

She told me that she feels like the time is coming soon and that she believes it will happen in the near future.

Which one?

Like the breakup or like the physical stuff?

I don't know.

That read like breakup to me.

Yeah, it also read like breakup to me as well. But I don't know. The problem is that I have heard similar things before, so I struggle to believe it now. I don't want to pressure her, but hearing soon without anything changing has become difficult.

Okay, so it was not about the breakup. It was about the banging.

Got it.

Banging, period.

We have also had situations where we had privacy. For example, we were alone in my hotel for a week, and my parents have been away for weeks before. She has mentioned that we are never really alone or that we don't have the right moment, but even when those situations happen, nothing changes. Something else that confuses me is that sometimes she actually initiates intimacy herself. She will start things, I respond, and then sometimes she suddenly changes the topic and starts talking about work or random things. Aw, dang. Blue ballin' ya.

What a tease. Maybe you just need to, you know, go first.

What do you mean?

Well, she's nervous.

Yeah, it's, I could.

Maybe you need to put something in you first.

Oh!

Sure.

I ask if she wants to stop and she says no. And we continue, but I don't always understand what is happening in her head. Another thing that has started bothering me is that I sometimes feel like there is an imbalance in the relationship. I always try my best to listen to her, support her, respect her boundaries, and make her feel comfortable. I do this because I love her, not because I expect something in return. But when it comes to something that is important to me, I sometimes feel like my feelings get pushed aside or delayed. I know she's not doing this intentionally, And I don't believe she owes me anything, but emotionally it sometimes feels like my needs are less important. I don't want this feeling

to turn into resentment because I love her. I want to make it clear that I don't blame her. I want her to feel safe and comfortable and I would never want her to do something she isn't ready for. But I also have feelings and recently I noticed myself becoming more distant and less talkative because I feel frustrated and I don't like that. For people who have been in a similar situation, how do you balance being patient and supportive with your partner's fears while also dealing with your own emotional needs? Did this kind of fear get better with time or did you eventually have to accept that you and your partner wanted different things? I would really appreciate honest advice from people who have experienced something similar.

There are some comments.

Yeah.

It's hard because I get it, and you don't want to force her that, like, that is not something you ever want to do to anyone. I think, I don't know, you're going to have to, like, take it slow.

As in, like, you know, I don't want.

To, like, tell you how to do it. But, like, you know, it doesn't have to be straight from nothing to that. I feel like it could be, you know, start little things.

One by one.

There's steps you can take.

There's steps you can.

There's steps.

There are steps you can take to get there.

I don't know.

I think maybe... if there's been no steps taken in the last however long y'all have been dating for three years you know maybe just move on I know you said you see a future with this person but you can see a future with all kinds of.

People yeah I don't know like I would hope that she would get over this fear of hers But also, it's now affecting you to the point where you don't feel validated in what you feel.

It's only what she feels, you know?

If I may.

If I may.

You know, I don't know this guy.

I don't know you, OP. But the whole post was very, it came across coded as like, hi, definitely a guy who's not just like, I'm not trying to just bang. That's not all I want. I definitely want, I want to be, I want to be close.

I mean, it's been three years and neither of them have ever experienced it.

Which, like, that's fine. You don't have to. Some people don't even like it, you know. But it's just the fact that, like, she can't set aside her fears in order to make you feel a little bit better, you know. But there is a boundary there. I don't want anyone to feel... you know, pressured into anything, you know?

Yeah, I don't know.

On a real level, like, it does sound like she kind of does want to, and she's just scared. So, I don't know. She's going to have to work through that. And you can either help her or leave. You can either help her be patient or leave.

We got some comments. KMS Nova says, is she in therapy? It sounds like she would benefit. OP responds, she told me that she wants to try it, but nothing.

Happened at the end.

So, she seems like she's a girl of many promises, but never actually upholds them. Positronomy says, it's been three years. There's not much else you can do other than keep waiting or break up. If going another three to four years without spicy sleep is a problem, you should probably break up. OP responds, yeah, my friends also told me the same thing. I just don't know about a breakup.

It's my first relationship and I'm clueless, honestly. Okay, well, that is also another layer. This is your first relationship. You think you're going to marry this person. You think this is the end all be all, you know. There's more to it. Sometimes you don't know what you have until you lose it. And sometimes you don't know what's out there until you lose what you have. You know?

I don't think you should deprive yourself of finding the connection you want with someone else.

I think you should stay in this relationship forever because if you mess up one, that means you're a failure.

I already failed. I've already failed.

But you can be a winner.

Might Volley says some people have different spicy related appetites. It also sounds like, for whatever reason, she has a complicated relationship with Spicy Sleep. Any history of mistreatment? There's nothing wrong with Spicy Sleep. There is nothing wrong with not having Spicy Sleep. The two simply do not match.

OP responds, I actually didn't mention this in the post, but her ex did try something. I've always tried to do the opposite and make sure she feels safe and respected, but I do wonder if that experience is part of why she's afraid now. There's an update nine days later. Yeah, I would say that is 100%. That 100% has a connection to this.

Never heard of that being a thing. Never heard of people's past experiences and feelings about them influencing their present decisions. Yeah, I don't get that. I'm just like, every day I wake up, I'm like a goldfish.

Brand new day, brand new life.

I woke up in the morning, update nine days later. Long story short, we planned to go to a hotel for a few days, and I booked everything yesterday. She said she couldn't come because her grandma was feeling bad. I told her that it was okay, but I was really sad since I couldn't cancel or change the booking, so we argued a bit. She said she was going to the toilet, and around 3 a.m., she told me that it wasn't going to work and broke up with me out of nowhere.

Oh.

She did it for you!

Yeah. Ah, this is hard.

No, it's not.

It is, but it doesn't get satisfied.

My bangs are in my eyes. Her bangs are in her eyes. And this guy had banging in his eyes.

And this girl did not.

Yeah. She's just like, I don't want to be a banger. I'm not trying to bangers and mash.

Which is fine. You don't need to. But at the end of the day, that is something that you want OP. And at the end of the day, she doesn't feel like that's like a priority. So don't think it's going to work out. And, you know, obviously it didn't.

I don't know. Let's finish it up.

Yep, and now you had a chance to be perfect, and now you're just like the rest of us. Aw.

When I woke up, she had already changed her profile everywhere and blocked me on every platform, even my number, without explaining what the actual F I did wrong. I have absolutely no clue what the F to do. I'm lost and devastated.

Ooh.

Well, step one, don't take it personally. It probably doesn't really even have anything to do with you. Step two, go to the gym. Step three, do step two again.

Sure.

There are some comments. Candlepop says, maybe it's a blessing being broken up instead. Even if you get back together, are you okay with the possibility of having zero intimacy for longer than you want it to be? Or at least until being committed as in married? OP responds, yes, honestly, I would have been willing to wait until marriage. I loved her enough that I could have waited. But this never came up. The thing is, it doesn't matter whether you wait until marriage or wait, you know, like when's marriage going to be? It's just there's no she's not giving you a timeline. She's not giving you any hope that what you want is like, you know, showing up in the future. It's just more so soon. Like she's

kind of brushes it off. And I do feel like, you know, that is something that she needs to work on. And I don't think that any of this really has to do with you. Like, as much as you were in the relationship and all this stuff, I don't think that you pressured her.

I don't.

You were trying to be patient. You just, you have needs, too, as a human. But she, you know, her needs came first all the time. And, you know, that's just how it is.

Yeah.

Don't worry about why. Closure comes from within, buddy. Just move on. It's hard. Losing your first love is hard.

Oh, yeah. And you'll be okay. It sucks.

But you'll come out stronger.

Forged in the fire of, ouch.

Oof.

Out of my heart.

And then you'll find another love and it'll be what you actually want.

And that love will be the gym.

I'll see you there. All right. Well, we have some comments from the video. I refuse to help for my dad's girlfriend. Now she acts like I don't exist. And this was posted April 27th, 2025. Teal Dare for story one. OP is a 15 year old who got into a serious accident at school while OP was On the ground in pain, waiting for paramedics, they kept screaming one thing over and over that they only wanted their dad, who was two hours away at work. And they did not want his girlfriend to come to the hospital. The thing is, the girlfriend was right there, listed as an emergency contact, and she heard every word. Ever since, the once decent relationship between OP and the girlfriend has gone ice cold.

And OP is terrified they have permanently ruined their dad's shot at happiness. And if you're curious to know the full story, go watch the full video. We've got Couple of comments here. First one's from bomb.com. Bomb.com 2168 says, OP in the first story sounds like she needs therapy and family therapy might help. It sounds to me like she feels unwanted and is self-sabotaging, thinking she's already a burden, despite that not being the case. Possible head trauma can also definitely contribute to aggressive behavior as well. Overall, it seems like OP is a traumatized, confused teen who doesn't have a sense of safety in her home. despite her dad and his girlfriend trying to provide that. Coming from experience,

being in a stable home after a childhood full of instability and abuse feels unsafe, despite being miles safer than the original situation. Not to mention the context of her grandparents abandoning her and her mother. Therapy is definitely something that could help. And that is a core tenet here at OK Storytime is, this is therapy. Good move. Sarah Keller 9881 says, I started to tear up when she had shown her post and the dad's response. I wish I had that relationship with my dad and stepmom. It's hard to do therapy and feel your feels, but OP will be so much better for it and have the tools to see how fortunate she is with her current situation.

I'm still unpacking my own childhood drama, apparently. Aren't we all? I wish them the absolute best. And from Amber B1723 says, First story, oh my god, the girlfriend is the a-hole. Like, you have to be super emotionally immature to take it so personally when an injured teenager is crying and scared and wants their dad instead of you. And then just neglect that teenager instead of having a mature conversation.

Big facts.

Yeah.

Gotta be more emotionally intelligent than an actual child.

Yeah, no wonder he wanted that a-hole.

If you're going to be a motherly figure. But folks, that is the end of those comments and the end of this episode. So if you love us, make sure you subscribe.

We love you.

And see you tomorrow.
