My first steps in the airtrols, bekime very organic ly I think my parent so very intern or they hair for be spin.
Ich. Music and we when to a lot of arme also Windhome Holidays we when to physit museums or buy any so that was actually äh comment Wir, twelve turting years all I want to become and actus. Äh was very the side it one that, but I mean, von mir zum Point so I played in so, Iven wasn Television for very brief moment. Äh like for figurents or something, so with very exciting to experience hol that's and then I try to entered actually their to school, Ident Side to be accepteds and then I was so äh disapointed that I fold you know what I leave it also das.
In Being other stage so than I decided to have a word of äh it's nothers a batticle because I follow some art school classes. And I finish thats I did my first your in namu, which is in the French Sport in Bildung and then after when I finished this education aller Zeit then I started starting, Artistry and there of course, etwas for me very clear, that I wanted to do something with contemporary Art and so I used my spiritime also visiting Museums, even fairs like air pressus, it's funny actually but I'm would never told of you know as and Student that I would be sitting here now and then you vant yoully, I for it for shot pirierte in them seme even for a very shot periate in at äh standard also for the National Bank for the contemporard collection,
zum Point I spontain you's reached out to organisation of our possels that's time, before there and I Angst if I couldn't be useful in Team. Der Bus to Directure, with actually leading several fairs at the time monate rights at five first at their helmeds and that was somebody working paar Time for FIP Relations and then I kimm alone and a mediatly they put me in do the the both this okay, you can travel run the world, you give do.
Die IDS toget the best except respossible to confince thim to come to possels and then of course is a committee this citing who, accepted or not so, quiet organically I learned everything about to job and that's me be a luxury force others, we have to stepin without the experiencing Organizer, because two this experience it's a bitters if you working at äh you say imbilding at the cold doesn't exist perhabs in Germany but they expect you to do every park of the job, you know each sport of the job, you kit something like that. So that's a nice thing that you learning that of the sears.
Ich, bin. Viana. Yes. I can try in german. Mhm.
Would wonderful like to tell me more about the are brussels? Yes, Actually are pressus with in the beginning and association of the Gallerries the base possi's gallerries and they longed a fair in äh sixty eight. So I believe that art cologne is when your older, so that mixes the second oldist fair in Europe and it is quite amazing actually that Track that we have experienced over all the years so in the very beginning. It was something that was organised spontaineously, not every year, that was buy yhanue Rather, nots always in Brossous even, it was ad some point also in Knoke in so it trafle the bit, it was the wasold of some
People or a very enthusiastic about to were and love to come together and we are also the Priffage of meeting one of the let's say the Wido of one of the founders, Alles. Die soundso bit to commercial. Ja, aber that's the point, because other ways people our coming to this exibition and they don't know, that you going by äh think. So the word with out and and bourn.
Wenn. Menschens aus Ging, weather he could not over this organization, because it became to, to successful, the war ficktum of do success, they had your gallery to run and äh the Kudentic combine that with a work of running agalerie and a exhibitions at the same time. So a deadpoint regs company. Etwas Gold.
Art Exhibitions, that's we're the neme came from so with in the Portfolio of artexes, the were nemous Fairs over, Let's it the first than years the company groove very much. So it be came more more professional, there was a team dicated to that for the art Closter and that's how it actually and down.
I mean want to new the store about the company, that's even more crazy, wes I mean the company groove, changed names also be käme actually easy first and now it's a leading event company. It's started all with our brussels and the person who reached out to Eric was Alberch Baroni. And last here he celebrated is fifty anyversu of his Gallery and heak decided to close is galery.
After a while you want to a bedo, over things and life and oldow you really loves to stay involved in the Arthrose and so äh, I mean but our team be organize also art entwerp and so we decided to offer boot to äh Albert who is very I mean important for no noly for a possels. But also for the company. So we media assort of haning Cube a Borfam äh Bofi-Stands and think thank you all there.
In Hours before is soad even you know. So we think we we do something big like that was sind so so funny one dot bit ya we carry at bits the history? Witters because we still see these people who were initially on that board a lot and I think it has also an dem Fruence on the Profile of the fair, Wir, some Points to present when we cellebrated of forted edition for Approssos that was a prolast here we made a huge Korridor, was like where we had pictures from the very beginning when äh princess Paol hight the time I will she's äh the queen, but she visiteds a very small fair we tources. In Bosar and you see people there with Cigarates and äh huit couches.
Also many years I mean Bin also a lot of people from äh bell to my Bros. So, we know a lot of People who ähm, I mean some mer are not even day anymore but there in the common Memory And there are powered of the spirit overs that's our poses well. So what we try to show is actually the result of ein Auto mit Meeting Point of People it's actually amazing when you see that?
I think and we so people passing by and they will looking at to all and then ticking event pictures with you know relatives. That are even their anymore or when the see them south twenty years young on a picture or with a partical dress you know. It's it's beautiful.
I think there's a very special atmosphäre in these special remove da. Yes We haven bin always at the same Location for twenty years it was a brusses infect. Ja. Between äh nineteen eighty nine and two thousand fifty it was at bross expo and then it was to intaxis and, we move back in two thousand twenty three. Yes, yes.
Der. Infacture and taxis ist Turn und Taxis. So was will ihr Land Mark and I connect place with a beautiful history in Brussels and we couldnot stay because there is a gentrification on the side of toren Taxi with Offices, Apartment-Blogs these big hoals in the middle where are brothers too place and that one point the, Build Up, ein Bild-Off, auf eine Art Fair was too much disrupting the whole.
Area Infect. And so they started to try to find and you will activities which is in fact the paddel and also so someth you have a world of mind views the warm museum which just all about illusions, so they have all that's kind of products now there. Are there some collaborationswith Brassel, ja of course I mean, every first do that, if your doing a good job actually. So you need to connect very where with äh institutional world, not only in your rone City, but also brother and that, important to have a strong connection with institutions äh of course we have that.
EGry to open of Didoors, also for I peas and äh a brother audience as well, so because it's a highlight it's the Momentum where does an international hotention und. You know, the extra affrots and we felo, so that the institutions and also the Gallerries of course the looking forward to that moment and the äh liveing up to dat you know?
Woodwalk you around, if a wood welcome you and äh with all the time and the world to do that Äh think it is important that you. You can guide you around and explain you what difference their and how you can naviga into the fair where you can eat and drink and how you can discover äh artistic projects and, think it's important to get to know also the person better. Because it's a very personal thing. There's no such, Magical Way of starting your tour or doing that it has to do with the Background in the way you war connected to art the haps it's a more rather finart,
an les can tempory Art or it's braves it's the opposits. Brahaps the something very emotional, that you are looking for I mean it's interesting to to no bit more about the person and then to, Ich better nevigate but if you we do alone. I think spene and give you de possibility to this coffer to wonder around you can also injoy guided tours at the fair, So there are you for, People war professional or not professional and day for free and there for free and we offensay that to shotter I mean I mean.
Even if you or a collecture origo of a great knowledge of contemporyard it is can still be interesting to a sister this äh guide tours. Because the sky the tour so done by äh ja Willy äh no watchable People and we were for favorite pretical away of looking at things and that's also their partical away, das and mean, dat dat is the way you shoot look at org. I think that's every interesting IO so assist it to a tour and you still learn things truth them. Because they look at different Angles. They highlight different works of Arts and sometime is they also bring connections, you know between die fünf works of Arte da okay did the different boots but it's all about you have to see at like a big Cloud in your head with
I never had regreds to by something because some you can ton your living with it and so it's eventuell you you would not by that work any long girl?
Mhm. You know that it was there. And I look with you conversation, with you over the years and it created is certain emotion. Mhm. Or certain questerning and then not one point if its enough that's fine. It's just maybe over, it's like we were, Love Relation Shift can happen to and so it's just over, but it don't mean, that it was wrong, it's always right, I think to by and artwork. Because it means something in anemotional process. It's a cirten timing.
It's something likes certain people lore fan of Tattoos. Ich. Im Brot und To Do da. Ore to put it on your body and it's like that's like the walk and guary. Like a story. Ja? Ja. Do you have a special Art Brussels moment? Ab wann? Sorry, it's äh something that I need you to think about, begis ähm, by why you think maybe?
Monday and I was working on the day and night I just fron over to the fair, and sometimes they were over the nearly building off and then you spart the work suden the and, you know that that is no, you can by it any moment infect. It's a lot of in counters infectice all about and counters. I think there is always a very special moment but it's at eats Edition, before the fair opens. Yeah. You are MT, I mean big when your the build up you see people like walking around, it's like and endnest you know the day before the fair think ho on art this will be ready Ich.
You know the first our before they fair opens, it's like a magic moment. I'm in offen I experiences also with anor and some People from the Team year excited your Ich, But we have already you know run alone away to get there and then you know there's a showtime alrise and that's a very special moment. I would says like it's excited and that the same time he will like hoping you know, that it wo be, awesome. Oh I would love to be poud of it's really special moment. I think and than there is also you know very difficult moments to be almost that we experience at remember when there with äh, I don't know which here, it was ash cloud in Island? Ah, two thousand ten.
Yeah was a two thousand. Yes, I was preatment. Ah okay, well thank you thank you for eh bring ihn that. So a remember that that was a join transport six Gallerys of New York. Bekäme Do it, can you come by your can you net äh you know can you make it to the fair and then the trouble was äh you you know do so came from my interecontinentals and yeah we had their good their artworks stock and then these are moments, you will never forget, because you experience abit the fear and the stress that Viel absorb it time ten I think and even if day would see, okay I mean, it's their business but so cannot enjoy any moments and then it was also such a leave and the transport arived, I am in the hold team I mean before forevery surts and high health. We we we pushed all the boxes and we help the galeries to put it together and so the Mister first hours of the fair,
ja But hes over of course things it you cannot for seen, you know, it's like that so you have to I have this flexible Mind and we are look it also that galor with artist the or, working in a very flexible way. There also feel the stress it's not it, but you do with thats and so how do you go forward to result in the shortest time in the best possible way.
Ja something that you carry. I think ja. It's beautiful at the same time It's a cand of team spirit. Ja. Ja. Thest Women we don't have a problem mit man for the man world listening ähm it so we are not against at alls not a gendering it's just that nopedy ähm I mean more this and van see or spontain yoursely there, Women more plan the man. 100 Kandidaturen sind vielleicht 95 Frauen und 5 Männer. Es ist ganz komisch, ja. Ja.
Daris welthing the Name. I changed the Name in die changed. It was created under the Name, aktuelle Kunst macht, was founded and äh Eric Eward to over Art Brosis from the Gallery a sociation it's heat changed and fact the Name to Art Brossels. And so since nineteen ninety eights Edition und it still is are presses.
How many. Mhm. This one oner than sixty five this here yes. One one than sixty five Gallerries is a lot to visits, so we taks you a lot of time, so, in den. A little bit and your open to discoverys you would probably start with the discovery section or andy invited Section all these Gallerries orgether it and we same location if you are visiting you know, let's say more the stablish Garries mit dir gerne wie sthat's with we call the prime section, Ich also, Azolo is abouts actually mostly living Artists who are bringing together series of work or one whole installation in a boot, wir, Deft so it's interesting to learn of that more about äh the Art practice and the Philosophy of this Artist. So and we are spreding that ever were a little bits in the fair but it's highlight in on the floor Plant.
So that's this and then we have another Section which just a new section for this here neple it's cold sixtate forwards. Mhm. And that has to do it's Das, So Because do it was an interesting perit and äh simport and also for the Artists working, the some works look very fresh. You might sometimes be surprise that it's from the seventies.
So and that's that's all so interesting to rediscover Art and fact before it with cold rediscovery but we decided to change actually this Name because with focusing on the dates rather done the wediscovery aspect a low is galerys also to to show more know artist from this spirit. And we didn't want to shit to thousand a food because sometimes we have very presses a projects but a just could infit Ich, da da sind making die zum that's why we changed that and it's became sundly a big success, because we have already forte in Gallerys, but is a beting in this preticall resection for, The First time lanching this. Äh I think this a very very good. And there has another thing ähm very impressed of.
KiK Cancer. Yes, auf Deutsch. Gerne.
Mhm. Ich werde noch etwas einliefern. Ja.
Süß. It's actually what is beautiful is that, I think for hundred Heroes it's something that this possible to porchis I think but it open sexually the possibility, to this cover and artist. Because what they offen do with then they go to the galery? Ja. Then they look to the work. And then they say to the God.
At creatsy connection and Automatic Lean interest in this Artists de try to follow the Instagram and then the follower little bit to reer of this Artists. It's a door opener. And that's that's all so very beautiful. And so and this year for the first time we ast also äh so we grey with a Director of I mean of Dixibitions that she will do actually on the second day at thomatic rehaining, so it's like it will be a very's we've what we mains after the first day. Yes and it's actually a coratorial way if looking of think so see would put it in the in the different Ray gether work so, und so again.
It opens your view in the different way or looking at works.
Also.
Ja.
I think it's we getter of the Gallerries and a no time. And no time. No other place.
Very risky to set of a fair, because I mean it's ex actually when you're organized fair, us spanding a lot of money in advance. You get it from the Gallerys, but you advanced a lot. So äh as that company was endifficalties they believe the also in nore anicive and is it, okay go for it. Is it go. Äh weiss al we did, we can finds all these Gallerries and then moment when we long press the day of three that there was like a Lockdown or something Lockdown. The gooding of all of that is, The Baby only exist when, There is a name of its, you know, when you announce that it is there. So when we aunted in fact we needed mediatly sate to will the Galleries, okay sorry we cannot do it now they new actually the Game of all that so they were not
äh Super surprise, but it's like that. But they new or entrop would exist. And so the your of to that it was still a very tricky moment. Yes. Because it was like no, yes, no, yes and eventually even with in the team thewhere you know this castions, because some Z, okay, but I mean Why not? I mean should be all, you know like put yourself in the Corner and not do anything, so if you have the possibility to do something wike no so it was a bit of a building, Moment and but we did it and it was a success from the very first moment. Scary to set it up, because of course you cannot do the same, What we do now actually for our enerport entrop to has a very so it, program of programm at that that's time we could den Set is up, wie die only thing that was they the basics what there, that's like a boot,
and the Gallerys and of course we have a day the bees. Und. Orthose where really fell up of Gegend you know in there and their houses and the worthing okay. I low myself to do that, even it with was a loud by the goverment, it's still the next thing to low it yourself to do that. Yeah. So that is something that we do know and we felt you know twoing the first edition the was also very äh magical moment a would see so the, stedely day by day the Visitory numbers group. So and the differsted was by hour and so the People ähm in people port and this coming your in the weekends. So normaly we would see them anon the first hours on the opening day. So it was something that was build ups day at was it
it felt actually very. Safe, safe. Jetzt wird's gut. And there all so a lot of safety I will we have to do foll the safety regulation so we learn the lot, we really learn the lot and for us infected was a one shot. But then the year after togethery sit. Look it was a success you're going to can visit Oh In Hourplace and so we have to consum you and now it's was the force edition. Yes a going going going.
Etwas absolut me amazing and Dezember. So we had like seven to gories, wer stille bitterven in the crisis? I mean it's not like äh a secret, there is the Art market is äh bit suffring. But the good moments and lest good moments and or was magical. Amin. People so really really well and now we feel like it's a consolited you know it's it's there.
Wir also, nobody days, to do something to close to Christmas and then weset it was the only slot. Also but become something that is okay like onset, it's part of the Land scape, okay, Also. Android is a beautiful experience also interms of a cultural experience also Shopping Experience at Setsheim so people welcome minute and there seed like a day trip a very nice interesting culture day trip. So the will be a fiftedition next year. That you know that ready? Ja. Yes.
It's a from Turst Day eleven until sunday fourteens of December. And the artles is when now in two thousand twentyfive from first Day twenty fours to sunday twenty-sevens of April. So im We see years there and I hope a lot of Germans were follow. I hope so we have so croves to bell for some after Germans. I was really surprise that was just the short trip by car and them happy to be here What means the lightness of Art to year do you have any connections?
Die Leichtigkeit der Kunst. Gute Frage. I think by two like that it's, liked I sort of Statement, because I can emaging that people to not see the artroll a something light now and so by sing it, that you want to make it accessible foreverbody? And forces well are pressus shoot be accessible for reverbit we want to conftable also does win not collecting also does who not experts an Art, Art History Students or whatever. It's not a prefileged or in eliting. No. It's you be inclusive and we're working I mean innerer Communication also on that to make sure that from different time soft Backgrounds at People feel it is.
That's a bit a purpose that we have it's not event you can boot it out like it's forever body, but, Ich. Of defected this just the opersite. It's like a place of in count us. Ja. It's certain the a place of and gentle. Live that's the nice think you never nowhere it will leed you too. Mhm. But it's the amazing part of life. It's the fabulous, part in Life. In deinem quite happy that life brings me to you.
