Ihren Silent-Meals, ihrer Initiative Amilliontries to Finnland und ihrem neuen Projekt The Green Train.

So I think first of very, It's something very personal. Mhm. I think it means differencings to different People and, it means differencings a different time and Ising for atisic project like them, science project it's ähm fantastic topic picers Etaste Bliss in one end and a Horror on the end. Itas kind of all the possible layers. Hat think in it.

And äh for me as a founder of the sidel project eye have looked into the no decilence and very much also the tradition of everyone stright with alloused People free access to Nature. We don't have so many people in Finnland this was so it's easier to experience sidence but that I do think it's äh big part of the finish culture. Juve one in Helsinki. Yes, I was born in Helsinki and I left to ready nineteven.

Because I thory was so quite. So thenty es later I return it is topic picles I under sit that is sucht are important of my artisic practice and important for me also personally but also a big part of my in Heritage Your and Artist, Performer, Corator, Pat and to Art beginnt. Very distart. Where you all is I think I have been doing out always I want to stein is go with was very strong in Art and, Welche Visual Culture and then when to study in England forest hot it performance design and ähm it was in England really where I start it you.

To get very interested of working us a individual artist. Because I just ähm Feld to need to say something and when I came to Berlin, that's really were. I saudid to work has a independ and artist and, mal Kuratorialwork is really, we are the silening Projects because I founded in typin so I'm acurator in my on projects. And which school have you been in in England?

I want to school call the Liverpool Institute for the Performance Art, it was founded by Pornarcardney. In Liverpool, it was had in their old school. Und work together and where you would äh have the means and Equipment to really you anything you wanted And äh big seater some big Music studios and also the possibilited this study fino with John most University and just Ja, übers Open for twenty for hours and it was fantastic in really was a great experience. Why do you want to go there? Because I was very intereci of this interdiscipenary we are proached.

And äh I felt that there was notch goes in thinot we good really try a little bit of everything. Thank you would be a bit more free to. And then nit about it and read about it and, Einer wanted to go and also I wanted to leave in that I wanted to go to England and I want to, Ja, tschüss. Well, I felt like England was really, London specially and also Liverpool, what very much abour world cities? Thank you felt you worring the world.

Like it was so many people from different cultures and äh all operating there and it felt like all the possibilities what there in was it always a good feeling, came from the nature from the Silent, Finnland. Yes I mean I was quite choked of course what I game it was äh very different from from very came from, Yes, he was very different, It was write show. That was quite over well was a beginning.

I have to say. And then you came to Berlin. Then I came to Berlin, yes, because ivers in love with a German many to go to fing that did an then I came here. And I am nit love Berlin as well for share. Was very different then of course from from Blondon if I think Berlin for me was always more of a Europe ancity. And why to you decide to go back to Finnland or to reconnect was year?

Home-Country, Pikus, ICAS, realised. I enerthing People that live a country. Maybe have seminar experiences, but you be kind of because more finish or at this it when I was and other country than what when I was there. I so I just, My Own roots and my culture in Heritage and and the silence and I think this had also something to do with having children. Having the need to really.

Wenn. Artist Arguit Local. I mean I think countis get away with where you confrom is just so rooted in your? Are you parents also Artist? Well my mother studied Art? Yes. Wir. So it was always there. First time we both in Literatur Club in in Helsinki. Yes, it was a very important for me. That decidence me started and äh finish lisher tocieties äh place, because it so historically important intense of ähm finish Literatur.

Finish, because the intellectures, that the artist of the time becauses was the time before finn was independent. Where worried that the language the finish language will diceupe or will not last and so this is white was founded originally And Kathi Michel oder Director that we were working with organized wish protect with us. Is the first female had and it's history. Wish I sot with also white remarkable. And I sold one my work there, yeah go and that's when I recided for the first time. I also so the are kimes and äh I mean there's one whole section which is about scitence I just made a profund effect to me or touched me really because I fold how important it is you have this kind of cultural library an in Heritage

Internes of also to our own Identity. Like how important it really is Wandau, Isilly, it can this appear. What you find out personally when you get in touch with a Finish literage sure and the roots, well, one. Maybe is that for my faterside of the family wish are finest weedish. There is äh, weiter before Finnland bekäme Independent. And wo was sweety speaking finn but, with was very important for him to save the finish language.

Also one to the interesting connection that I found for ten true him worse that he started äh natural society in findet. So there was a real connection to to to nature wir haben, and I have not seen the research material that they have on science for this. Is but I am planning and go and sing that. Nordic, which is different for mothers. I don't know But it's something that will want to find out. Maybe it's quite interesting for our listens to get in Form the bet about the finish history and the editued of live. Well I mean finn worse for minutes. I think we worse.

Six on read to seven hundred years on the sweet and then a little bit one hundred under Russia war and I think we have a loaders simpelsy for Ukranians for instants fighting the impossible war, and I think Finnland can really understandard as someone bing a smoke country I can really appreciate of being and independent country.

We can't be very luck it to be in dependent. In der Littrior Club Ired something about CSU and Carleval. So, I important book for finish people because Festival, writain finish language channel the nastur, von Finnland and etwas compiled by Elias Landred in a ninety century from free's orgloor and misollogy and coliverla is a Poitic work or fifty Songs or points and the are recounting the creation miss, Also.

And it symporshit also bigusse it play to all and shaping finish National Identity and inspiring the culture revival, Casay that let you independences well, a book we All read, in school and we all no about it and if you look into the company names in Finnland you seed everywhere, it's is a very important took for finish people.

Culture strongly this is so. And maybe that is to do with Dinge, Ich also extrem weather, keine sputthings in perspective. I really does and howd we can transform it Was. Ich, Israel Classic Stratic Story of äh young women who is forcemario a very powerful man in the calle waok. Weine mähen and good go and she savering and Was steht das in wante Mary an Old Man? And so in the story see dround hers out but there is a different versuite of the same story which for me was interesting because Festival she ähm Cet know Keiner she was not passive but also intense of the training actually in the second story she doesn't round it smalre about how she transformerself into different being and then is no long Gacked nice. And I think this topics of belonging and your identity and the story of a women as well what you are loud to you when what not an all these tociet toms.

Exceture I mean they very much. Live in now a culture always. Vitrol does Art place and finish culture. I think a very important draw. I don't know what finish culture would be thout it. Any really, what would any country thought it's culture and stories and mester is strong support by Government? Yes, yes. I think noty countrys journey supporty Art more generesly than inother countries.

And as well as everywhere as a moment I'm all these culture but it's been cut to moment. So, this is also happening in Finnland. But I's an Germany speaking the Artist quite well supported and noty countries. It wars. We had our silence meal? Yes, parted of silence project? Yes. What is the silence project? So silent project a something I started in two thousand and thirteen And is started first as my own personal project because very intersit of this topic and then I real lifest that is such a big topic.

Really have a whole program and äh we are next subission and programm for school, sand of course the silence me and so I, Groad such program and the nine vited and other artist to take part and bring their experience on scilence and this is how is started. Ich. Designes meal or something they created a pre-opening, Das.

Have a great mealbes around it by the Artwork and in this way Alaaf People to have their only experience, insead of telling them, also, in der Show and I did recordings and all kind of work then for that which with the next abitage also in the, also. I am Places, Andy was wonderful and then I pporter different a new show and we open in two thousand nineteen card mind the gap äh science and masculinity but ntercorona came and then, I should that if we are talking about silence, shatifree talking about the importants off. Everyone's right and then I felt like we had to do something concrete and this is when i soded a millionter Finn and eh invine mental.

Which in the way is a contination of the siglent project because we're literally Greating more Silence. What happence when ah nothing happens? What happens, but I don't sing there suche things. I think qualitativ not happens. Mhm. Me too? Yes. But I think the Pointers that is something very personal is net. And I also wanted to take the focus away from the Artist a little bit.

So I think in the signast meal is not show much about the Artists. I think it's more about the audience really, it's like the artgest becomes the ober and äh guest in the way become the performer Would you like to discripe the setting you bit? Yes, I's so very simple settings is äh usually around twenty-four strangesport together in the beautiful, mir also very beautiful set always and äh I always server very good food.

Good Chefs that we have to see you catering in then I so three or four course meal. And I see very much my on roll as a kind of ähm, Ich. Experiencing silents biggest, I don't why, you would bitches people eating. So I think is very important to. Have the space im Between. Is it important that we get in touch with Finish, stuff like, glasses from Italar and the table were from yeah. Äh well actually when we did the science me for the very first time, we were in, hier also, was Because I cold Eatala Fiscas and asam to get me some. Get a because weekend half any. So I was really because of that.

Ich. I was so like that it's it's beautiful and beautiful set. I was so interesting course they setting was bit more loud, because of all the flowers and the colours on the table where. Yeah. DNvironman was Silent, but what do you oberfell I think for meet likes the first realisation always is. Like these little, think suches, when you por äh water in the class.

You know it somes like a waterful and all the sound that you don't a normaly pay any attention toil. Our hold sounds with all the like the the music of the science in away auf äh eating. We just something that you don't pay every alle weiß ja nie, Atention, also I think the time the way you experience time changes. I mean, it was smodern to hours and so a dine feel that long Ist.

Because I feel like it's also very intermed so I think I mean I have been doing it for ten years now, modern ten years, so I mean you to do come quit sensitive to what's people because you see things of course. But I think it's also pro Light not to see too much. This tick space to people. Definitiv Performance also bit I start it I will not stop. So I just lit it, go however it us. And I me you sout sometimes people act out and stud doing, Thinks quite spontain yousley. Do you think the people feel secure? I like to think that they what, yes. I feel that's also product my.

Bing there. Keine following, this I think it needs to have some kind a Framework. Und. Mega I have the lack that I set just at the top of the table. Yeah and I could see everyone. Oh yeah true. You wer your opposite to me. Yes and I was apple to get in contact was everyone? Yeah I had not, Ja. And I was question myself is silence and every language the same meaning as a Germanizei stille.

Ja in Stille vor Mehmins. I have to be very careful with fourcant my night. I wanted to be very sidend with my whole body. Ja, is silence and every language, the same meaning. We I'm shored there are culture difference, but for me sim more, Also it's always very different, because it defence on the atmosphäre and house a people which are takeing part, how do the welcome together and so it's over is very different, I will say, I'm people react and act in a very different way, you have always not always be sometimes people that have the need to do something Mhm.

Wethout talking to you think People need that choreography, well maybe, but I also a try to keep it very simple. Ich, I so far no want it. How do you think about smiling? Well people can smile? What was I had designs me, where half of the tape? Loveing and half will very serious. Like really love think like hystericy love and you was like spreading like a wild Fire.

Ja some People are funny event in silence. I think in this pretically wantevers a man was just incredibly funny Ostly. He was so funny and he was funny oversly insilences well. And dincilence to you think we find out like the elpha animals. Well, I think that when you sit In Silence. Maybe twentyfour people and people don't know really who anybody is I mean your body language also comes da And so, Personalitys.

And the body language alone also effects that. So ich kann make someone. I can it's change these up We were also together at Helsinki by Daniel. Where I said with wonderful? I enjoy that, very much. I recommend everyone to to to go there and spender hole day there. What is the magic of this Wallisori Island. I think the magic of the valishary Island with maxid also a little bit more interesting I think we're half of Island is tool Closed you can't go that, because it has been in some military, Juist and you also see there that the it was quite wild äh the nature there also and äh not so many curd and äh what I also was interesting that they they had some plans and treas there wish were important I think by the russians.

Maybe over one hundred us ago, so the plans and treased but whatever also a little bit different. Ich. What I would say like it was very gentle. But what it make meeting and that's may have nothing that you with what the amerise Bett a little bit more time in there. I just become more aware of the nature and the weather.

Bekommst du zwei extreme and it always a is a reminder that you are small and a nature is big. And this is also the feeling that I got when I was in the Island as well, that we are relichest very small. I feel personaly that äh noty country, stoned have such a high here Kies some how. What so much and äh I think people jonly are not so very important about themselve there snow such, it's also in the language like that's there is know Germany would say do or see. It disn relexist. And I think there is also much less pressure. There some how. It's now so important that you have to be something really on usual.

Anyway and I sometime think about that why this like that. Think that a big part of that is also the really a heart condition intense of the weather and the nature in the way. Is just that, you are just every day remind it, that you are small. And the nature is big. So despide of that and the silence project what das Shelter means to you? Shelter. Home home, yeah.

Wer ist home? I think a home is where you feel comcabled? Cam be anywhere? Thank you so how you connected to yourself, Asing you care your home with you also always we also plante three together. I think yes we did. I think everyone shit plantedy I mean it some so you know simple and small and Eve and maybe, but it such a pro found experience to do that.

Getheke care it. What does it mean to plant a tree It's not just that you what a three into the years. What does it really mean to you. But I think for for me. Play around with my collage it's one so and but I am going a way from Miterial. I think every year a little bit more and stuff you know and this is very stuff.

And so I deside it that I try to, Im Material as much to say can. And if I'm going to have some material then they must be plants or treas or something that is, Living and something this is also planted in the place where it's permanently or espermanently ass, we can't be rother an, Space, very, dies, you know, after wild. So that in mim Report of the Silent Project really is to plantries because it's important for the invigment. But the also a view as a artistic practice really and asquat technical and what do the finish government say of the helsinki government so when you so I come worth ten people from all of of the world and we want to Plante three? I think it took some persuation I think, but ähm

you know that I plant also this mini Metzels. Wish I that you to support the bio diversity and have dum six of them. And that was not my many forries, where wevent, I if a healthing Park, that just gave astepremision to plant someth ähm. I hope wear under stiped. I mean you tole me, it was are good experience right?

For sure you have a three in Finnland. Yeah. Together will some very lovely People. I want forget. Yeah I mean it's squite hardcore to Plan to three. Some physical, Yes. Well. I think everyone to do that. And I think they are countries, where scool children don't cratur rate. What tree? What is the green train meaning? This is the new project? Mhm. We shaping working for quite long time already because I was this idea to to bring invimator project to train.

And the first peile project is happening the twenty-fist of Oktober, Together with the European Sleeper is a night traine from Berlin to Amsterdam stops in brough and Brussels and life terrise and volft as well and what is about is to use the traine, to Creator Invinetal Project across Europe, and to in white People to plant trees. I also to plant our mini Matches and you have talks and to, Also, Ich.

To pring this inviele matter project picce. They are quite a lot of difference in the people inside the train be train travels of course and we have an give in three gebens is a night train, so I will be inviting some friends. And we have organized situal places for planting. And do you also expontainiously travellers? Yes, yes of the little.

Jetzt we have no with their how it will go, but it's happening and the treeve there is to the train or they waiting. They will be intrain, ever giving out tend thousand, you have to be quites pesive, if yous a world tree stoned like to travel. And äh we can't but the moll in a train for each country can of see you toble treas and so a serge mount will give an out than.

Bitte Madway in, plantet, biggest I mean in is guit easy, because we have a everyone strig, so it's not so complicate it. Äh find places for planting. But in Europe is a little bit more compligated. She contest plant And also I want to make sure of that they taking care of. So I want to see them also äh in the next ten years or twenty yes. I want that they grow. Also a part of my om personal Artwork is then to plant peaketries and this is then mapt out and to.

I kind of digital map and there takeing care of so. You said everywen's right? What is it? Actually it's gold everyone tright. It was colled every man's right? Mhm. And a finish family's change it for everyone stright. Ja and this is I no Dicrattition. What as it mean? It means that if you come to my Land.

Ich. In Finnland People share the the Rivers and äh and the natural like that, And I think is quater radical tradition to have. It's redend fornitions is protected as a part of the cultural in Heritage. And I think Denmarkterson have it's a little bit äh less there and finland is famously has a very generes everyment tright. And so it's easy to go Wild camping and so. How have your projects?

Scheint I think I have become much more, human loving. Ja, are really you, I mean I'm not saying, that I was and before, bit I think in makes you quite caint towards fellow humans. When you said with a strangers a silence. A little bit strange and everybody is a little bit insecure and everybody sell little bit funny and we just fellow she Moments, So ja, it made me I think more loveing towards my fellow humans. What does lightness mean to you? Well I mean I guess is can mean so many things depending on the day Today.

So thank you so much for. Von Lucky, what really makes your hearting and I want to say I thank you for your time talking domet. Invitation. Thank you so much. Das war's für heute.
