But what we are doing, the reason this is the Halloween episode, because back in GB Day in August, we put it as one of our stretch goals that if we hit a certain goal... Kirkland would have to watch Terrifier.

Now, we have changed it to Terrifier 2, because Kirkland misspoke, I would say, for himself. He's like, well, I've seen this kill where a woman gets sawed to death and stuff. I'm like, well, that's a word death in Terrifier 1, so we can't watch that one. So we're jumping to Terrifier 2.

So what we're going to do is we're going to watch a 1 minute 30 of just all the worst, all the kills in here to give Kirkland a little appetizer, and then we're going to watch Terrifier 2.

So we're going to watch this first.

And then, Kirkland, you can tell your stories about torture porn and all that sort of stuff after, but here we go.

To do this is because, uh, you're not a fan of said movies like this.

Um, you know, Yeah, I don't know when it started. I feel like I've just never liked seeing gross stuff like that, ever. It just, I watched it and it disturbed me. And, like, when the saws were really peaking, that was, like, a big emphasis of it. Because they would always be doing these fucked up, you know, tasks, I guess. And I was just always like, why would you want to watch that stuff? It just makes you feel uncomfortable. Yeah. I guess so. I also learned years later, too, that I'm really not good with blood and stuff. I will get queasy and whatnot. So it probably ties to that.

Also seen horror movies that didn't have that. So when I saw those, it was just like, this isn't even a horror movie. This is just like, can you sit through a disturbing scene is more how I... Saw it. And it was never for me.

How did you feel about the first tear fire when you saw it?

Um.

It was a while ago. I mean, it's definitely... I mean, you can tell it's an independent film. For sure. I think they did a really good job with the practical effects and.

And whatnot. I mean, people love it because it's become an icon. I haven't invested, obviously, into the franchise that whole lot. But, I mean, he's appeared in, pretty sure, like, Call of Duty and all that stuff.

So, he's up there.

Yeah, it's quite a successful tale for a living. Yeah, it started as an independent thing. He technically was in a film called All Hallows' Eve. It was a bunch of, like, short films put together. And they had Arthur Clown as a character in that. And they kind of spanned him off. Um, but, yeah, no, I think one of them, I think they have some records for independent horror, this and that, so, and also the clown has become one of the newer, like, horror icons because there's not been many of them in the past.

Little bit, you know?

Uh, and, yeah, so I've seen these all.

The first film is definitely more just, like, a vibes experience sort of thing. Like, I don't, I would say the first and second movie, they're not necessarily, like, great movies. I think the third is when you can see the director really get into his own. I feel like that is an actual... good movie where.

One and two especially one is it's just like.

A lot of crazy scenarios but there is like a there's definitely I don't want to say a niche because obviously it's a big niche but there's definitely a crowd that enjoys these movies and I like I don't mind torture porn horror porn stuff but I mean there's a crowd that really digs this type of stuff I think there's lots of good potential here and lore and obviously there's more potential people like it but I.

Thought of the first two but the third one That one I actually quite enjoyed.

But yeah, I think I've only seen this one.

Once because I feel like I watched the first one after hearing some hype and being like alright it is what it is.

I think there's something going on there.

I don't know if they've ever fully got into, like, what they are, but, yeah, I think they're some sort of demonic structure.

I think there's some he creates, but, again, with the lore and stuff, they're still, like, working some of those things out, so. I think with the first one and the second one, and even the third, but the first two specifically, it feels like there's a lot of ideas, and they kind of go like, we're just going to put them all in there. I can't remember the guy who plays Art the Clown, what his name is, but.

I really like him.

He's in that ilk of like a Freddy Krueger where some comedy, all the horror is going on.

Is there like rules around these movies? Like, you know, with Nightmare on Elm Street, you know. Freddy shows up when you're sleeping in your nightmares. Art just shows up randomly. Is it Halloween?

The first one was.

I can't remember if this is just a continuation of that. The third takes place on Christmas.

Know yeah if they're a kid and they're doing that I think there's a line to be crossed um But if they're an adult and they're interested in it, I mean, that's a career, right?

So could this maybe not be his career, I guess, in the future?

I mean, maybe, but it depends on the level of his fascination. I mean, is he admiring them? If they start killing animals, then we've got a big problem here.

Well, yeah, of course.

I would think so.

I mean, a fascination with serial killers is pretty natural, right? That's why those true crime docs and everything are so popular.

But he's got an outfit of Art the Clown there.

It's pretty fucked. It's pretty fucked.

So he is supernatural? I mean, I guess he was brought back to life.

So yeah, in the first movie up until the ending, he's not supernatural. He's just a guy.

Yeah, there is supernatural elements that they haven't really fully shed light on yet, but There's some supernatural.

Like, it doesn't seem super low budget with, like, how many people they have in here, the sets, the costumes.

The first one's definitely way more lower budget.

Success and they got it for this, but, yeah, no, I think they do a great job with their budget. Even, like, putting aside the grossness when we get there, that stuff is done very well.

As far as the effects of it, so... They got good people working on it.

And then I say again, I do not give you permission but I can't finish it. And then it comes towards me and then I wake up in my bedroom. And I full on, I look around the room thinking, I'm gonna see something in this goddamn bedroom right now, because it just felt like it's there.

So we got Kirkland's first wins at the, uh, Razorblades.

There's a shot, because I watched Halloween 2, and fuck, I feel like, obviously, that was a big thing back in the day, people actually were in Razorblades and candy, and the movie, the kid just shows up and he lands, like, a Razorblade in his lips, like, man, that must have been, like, the fucking worst, like, have you actually had that happen to you as, like, a young person?

That must have been the worst, like, You take a bite of something and there's a razor blade in it? Like, fuck, man. People are fucked up.

And then I went and got some water. Again, all lights were off. And for some reason, the first thing that came to my head when I was like half asleep was fucking obsession. And the specific scene when, like in the bedroom, when like the dark person is like sitting in the corner. Oh man. That was the only thing that was in my head. I was like, Shay was at work. I was home alone. It was just, I'm like, Just get your water and go to bed.

I'm pretty scared of Emily like that. I would stand after we watched her stand in the hallway.

Yeah, the gross stuff didn't really bother me too much. This movie more so than the run time. What's the grossest part about this?

I don't know where I am on a pass and fail this movie anymore. I used to pass it the first time I saw it, but I really have to think about it.

So I guess look out for my letterbox. I think I lean towards a I think I lean towards a fail. It's tough. I give them an A for effort. And especially these were smaller budgets, but that was... I'm glad we watched together, but that was brutal returning into it. I just don't think it's a completely well-made review here.

It certainly felt like a punishment, so I guess that was a success.
