Hey, this is Dakota.

And this is Riley, your favorite OK Storytime host. And we got some great stories coming up.

But before that, we have a quick two-minute break from the sponsors that keep this show alive. My father demanded I invite his new wife to my graduation, but I don't want her there.

She's not as good as your old wife.

My 18-male parents had a rough divorce, and my dad immediately moved on and got married to his former high school girlfriend he had before my mom. So my dad's wife was someone who was forced into mine without me wanting her in it. She doesn't have kids, so she's always clingy and trying to make it seem like me and my sister are her kids. Horrible vibe every time.

And we're all this one big happy family. In my opinion, excuse my language, she is emotionally and socially an idiot.

She just doesn't know how to act.

Wait, did they actually say that?

Once when they first got married, they had a get together and me and the kids were apparently making lots of noise. So she took us to a room and locked us in. Oh, but she was also inside the room with us. She refused to let us out unless we vowed to not make any more noise.

We were six and seven. I would love to add the fact that I got a lot of crap for that because she was just joking and I don't know how to take a joke.

Ha ha, I locked you in the room and wouldn't let you out when you're six. You don't know how to take a joke.

So you know how gaslighting got popular and people started catching on to it? I feel like that was just a joke is about to do that same trend within the next two to three years.

I mean, that was just a joke is essentially just gaslighting.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

That's all it is.

But I feel like it's going to be its own niche movement pretty soon. Because half of these stories that I've read recently... Someone does something completely absurd and it's like.

Oh, it's just a joke. Do you remember the prank era of YouTube?

Kind of.

That's what that was.

Just a joke.

She just does not know how to act.

This is going to sound crazy, but I actually love her mother, my dad's mother-in-law. She has stood by my side during a lot of problems and has called out her daughter's behavior. And by the way, this comes from user Ruluwa. And if you want to submit your own stories, go to the r slash okstorytime subreddit.

I'm Dakota. I'm Riley.

We're going to read this story. We're going to have our thoughts. They might not be perfect. We don't know everything. Let us know what you think down in the comments. And OP says, Now my graduation is coming up. My mom thinks I need to invite her, my stepmom, because I have previously stayed over at her vacation home in addition to the fact that she doesn't have kids and I am the closest thing she'll ever have to kids.

Now, she and my.

Dad were very horrible to me in their first year of marriage, so personally I've never liked her, and still kind of resent my dad for the way things went. I don't have enough tickets to invite her anyway, in addition to the fact that even if I did, I want to invite people that in one way or another raised me or helped my parents raise me. Those include my grandparents and my aunt and uncle, who... one of which doesn't have a kid, and I'm the actual closest thing he'll ever have to a kid, in addition to the fact that I share a last name with him.

My mom thinks it's going to be a very awkward situation for my dad to leave the house to go to my graduation, and then his wife asks him, where's he going? And he has to reply, Opie's graduation. I think it's insanely inappropriate for her to be there. My mom is trying to avoid problems with my dad. But what business does she have being at the same event concerning me with my mom and grandma?

Personally, I don't care about what people will think. I care about my happiness and the fact that I don't want my stepmom there. I feel like I just shouldn't need to justify this to anyone. And it's my decision.

Well, you are 18. Here's my first decision as an adult. Let's make it one we'll all remember.

I mean, like, so what? Oh, I'm going to the graduation. Yeah, he only had a select amount of tickets. He gave them to me, his mom, his grandparents, his aunt and uncle.

You're not on the list. Get over it.

It's going to hurt your dad's feelings. You're going to have to have the consequences of that. But he chose this in a way.

He chose this life. He chose this life for himself.

And he chose a partner that wasn't really crazy about his kids. Or kind of was, but didn't really show it in the right way. That's on him.

I probably need to get over a lot of things that happened in the past, but that's an issue for another day.

Inviting her won't change that fact.

Just to add, if I wanted to invite her, I'd have to sacrifice inviting one of my aunts or uncles, which I'm not doing. And I'd rather not have a graduation than invite her. Also, I wasn't invited to their wedding.

Oh, well, we should have led with that.

You weren't even at the wedding!

Dude, yeah, no, you don't have to invite her to the freaking graduation then.

Do not come. Do not come.

So the real problem is how are we going to handle the dad whenever he figures out this news?

Be like, you can come.

He will be upset, though.

She cannot come.

Is there anything we can do to mitigate this? We're just going to let her run.

And go, dad, do you know basic math? I have a certain number of tickets. Do you understand basic math?

Mm-hmm.

You go ahead and tell my aunt or uncle, whichever one you choose, that they're less important than your wife, who I'm not related to and don't really care for.

Ooh. Go ahead, I dare ya. I double dog dare ya. Don't make me triple it.

There we go. I wonder what OP does here. I think they'll be mature. This is a bold decision to make right at 18.

Let's see. There's an update.

Two months later.

When I wrote the post, I wrote it as a hypothetical scenario. Despite my mom and brother's warnings, I thought my dad wasn't going to ask me.

To invite his wife. Boy, was I wrong! After I wrote the.

Post, I went to my mom and I told her that there will not be a graduation if my stepmother comes. I then listed a bunch of crap she did over the past few months.

Oldest was November 2025. And my mom was shocked.

One of those things was her trying to turn my dad against me because I don't tell him my school grades. The reason is because he goes and runs to her and tells her everything. My mom sided with me, ultimately. Two weeks after the post, I was in the supermarket with my dad, and he told me to do a favor for him. Invite your stepmom. Initially, I told him I wished I could, but there wasn't enough tickets. He then told me, no problem. I'll call uncle and tell him not to come. He was really willing to not have his brother come just to appease his wife.

I told him, no, there's not enough tickets and.

That it would be very inappropriate for her to be there with my grandma and mother attending. He told me that I'd be making him a huge problem and that he might not be able to come. You're going to pick your step. You're going to pick your wife over your child. And it's like not a situation where your wife is like, right. And you just have to, it's like, there's just not enough tickets.

Really?

Do I want a cool, chill two weeks at home or a rowdy two weeks at home? That's really what he's deciding here. Do I want to be in the doghouse for two weeks or not?

I told him good riddance.

Now you're making it so I can be able to invite my friends who weren't going to be able to come. Then he secretly went to my brother and started getting mad at his wife, saying that she's causing him problems and he's sick of her and whatnot. After I got home, he started talking badly about my mom and her family, saying that she He's paying for the tickets, 200 bucks, and that they're coming on his pay. He then started insulting my mother's brother and my grandma, saying how they're.

Coming on his dime and how he doesn't like them.

So I immediately went to the bathroom and messaged my mom to pay for the tickets, to which she did, to which he was at shock.

Oh my gosh, dude. 200 bucks. 200 bucks.

Yeah. For graduation. That's already ridiculous. But I bet you this guy is the guy who would turn around and be like, no.

I wanted to pay.

I wanted to pay.

I wanted to do something nice. And that's my love language is paying for things. And you took that away from me.

I don't like your dad.

That'd be weird.

I don't like him. I mean, it's as simple as that.

Seems like he made a mistake in his journey as a father when he couldn't work it out with your original mom.

Maybe just maybe. Then he started saying how upset his wife would be and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.

I told him it's your job as her husband to tell her when you can't get something done for her. It's not everything that she asks is going to be possible, especially at my expense. He then started breaking and told me that his wife came to him and said, why did OP not invite me to his graduation when I want to make a large family gathering to celebrate him?

Boom! Yay, we got this party for O.P. Oh, but where's O.P.? Good on you. Yeah, of course, dude.

I'm just shocked he went back to his high school sweetheart.

Are you?

Oh, it's the first love theory.

Yeah, and it's just with everything that we've seen about this guy, he's just like a little... He's just a little baby. He said, oh, but my wife is going to be.

um, maybe we don't invite your uncle who you actually care about.

And you bring my wife so that I'm not in trouble.

This is just the consequences of all the actions that happened before this event happened.

You feel me?

If you treat people like crap, they're not going to treat you like family down the line.

You treat me weird my entire life and try to muscle my own mother out. I don't like you. Put me in a room. Lock me in a room.

When I was six or seven.

And you say, I was just kidding, idiot. No. Crazy.

Crazy work here.

Anyway, a couple of days later was my senior trip.

So on the day before, I called my dad and told him that just to get the facts straight, I don't want your wife there. It's not my mom or grandma. It's the fact that I don't want her. He was kind of shocked at that. But then I was boarding the plane, so I had to hang up.

Nice.

I haven't seen his wife really since a couple of days before the original post. I saw her briefly at a funeral two weeks ago, to which I was very cold and distant. Going forward, I'm not going to their house, and I'll be cutting contact with her completely. Yesterday was my graduation, and his wife did not attend, but my dad did.

All right. Nice.

It was a lovely day where I was surrounded by people who love me and respect me. Not people who try to force themselves into my life.

Smiley face.

There we go.

And that is the end of that story.

I like that. I like that. I guess I see. I always say it. Dakota and I would love to just sit down with your family and understand the complexes through dinner. So we understand, oh, this is how the mother-in-law is. You could pick up on those little nuances pretty quickly at a dinner.

Yeah.

I would spill something on purpose to see how everyone reacts.

That's good.

See who's gracious. See who's forgiving.

See who's like, all right, cool. Little things like that I try not to make a big blip about. I'm just like, all right.

What's happened has happened. If they get all mad, I'd be like, you know what? I was going to give you $ 100 million. But you passed. You didn't fail. You failed the test.

Excuse me, man. Will you buy these two pumpkins for me? I really want to make pumpkin pie. Will you buy these two pumpkins for me? Sure, sweetie, I will. You just got a million dollars. Have you seen those videos? We're like, no, I'm not going to buy you anything. And they go to the next time. Hey, will you buy these?

Like, yeah, man. Oh, dude, here's a thousand dollars.

Thank you. And the person that sees is like, ah, that's my money.

But that's not fair. That's not fair. I'm suing you.

And that's the end of this story. We're going to read the next one.

My family wanted me to use a name they came up with for my baby, but I hate it.

It's my baby. I get to name it.

Shut up. I, 27 female, and my husband, 28 male, are expecting our first child in the fall. It's a girl!

Congrats.

We're both really stoked and have wanted kids for a long time now. Ever since we decided to start planning on having kids, my husband has been using a joke placeholder name for our baby. He's second generation Irish and has been calling our baby Siobhan. He likes that it's traditional Irish, and don't get me wrong, it's really a pretty name, but my major hang-up is we live in the U.S. We were both born and raised in the U.S., and the U.S. is known to be kind of garbage at pronouncing traditional Irish names right. That is stupid. That's kind of stupid. Yes, it's true, but that's kind of a stupid reason not to name your kid.

Yeah, and I mean, even if they do pronounce it Siobhan, that's not a bad name either.

It's a pretty cool name, Siobhan, on the first try anyway. I do not want to send my daughter to 12 years of public education and have teachers, substitutes, and fellow students unable to say her name right on the first try. I don't know, dude. I don't know. I think that's kind of a silly reason. If you think the name is pretty and your husband really likes it because it has meaning to him and it literally can, the interaction can be this. Sibhan? No, it's Siobhan.

Oh, okay.

Okay, Siobhan, that's it. My name is a pretty standard name here, but it's spelled differently because my dear sweet mother wanted me to be unique. But all I got was grief for it. Kids can be mean, and I don't want my kid to have a name that might get her bullied or cause teachers to call her Siobhan.

Not at all how you'd pronounce it every time they call her name in class. The problem, everyone's telling me that I totally need to use the name Siobhan. Yeah, I'm here telling you, you need to call your daughter Siobhan.

It's kind of a cool name.

It's a cool name.

And Siobhan is not a bad mispronunciation.

I don't know. Like, talk to the teachers before and say, hey, her name's Siobhan. By the way, this comes from Accomplished Owl 8796, and if you want to submit your own stories, go to the r slash okay story time subreddit. I'm Sophia.

I'm Dakota.

And we're here to give good advice goofily, but we don't have all the answers. We only know what we'd do. So let us know what you would do in the comments. And Opie says, My own parents say that it's pretty and unique. Again, with that word. Mom rolling my eyes. My aunt and cousins are saying, well, that's what you call her anyway. My husband does.

I don't.

And my husband's family gush over it, too. I've told everyone that it's not what I want to go with, but it's like talking to a brick wall. My husband's cut down on calling the baby Siobhan since he knows it's not what I want and that it bugs me. He's told them that it was really just a joke name, and he kept using it to tease me. We have a very playful teasing type relationship. I've given as good as I've gotten in that respect. He's said multiple times it's not what we're actually going with, but things are starting to get out of hand. My mom and sister have already tried getting embroidered blankets with Siobhan ordered for the baby. They only failed because they called me to confirm the spelling and I shut it down hard. It

is tough. It is tough to be like, no, you should do Siobhan. And Opie's like, people can never spell it right or pronounce it. And they're like, no, do it anyway. Also, how do you spell it? That's a tough one.

You could just like make it the phonetic.

Yeah, Siobhan.

Aunt.

Siobhan.

S-H-A-V-O-N-N.

Yeah, Siobhan.

Siobhan.

Yeah, we could do that. Now they're pissed because I still can't make up my mind on what I actually want to name my daughter, and I'm just a mess. I'm pregnant, my head hurts, and I don't know. Am I just making a big deal of her nothing? Should I just name the baby Siobhan and get it over with, or is this worth putting my foot down on? Am I the a-hole if I don't name my baby Siobhan?

And there is an update. no, you're not the ale if you don't name your baby Siobhan.

Unless the baby tells you in a psychic message that its name is.

Siobhan, you're not in the wrong.

Name me Siobhan.

It's just maybe your reasoning is questionable.

Yes, I do agree with that. Because if we're basing what we're naming our child, especially like a traditional name, off of, oh, well, some people are going to get that name wrong. It's like, Let's not base it on that. It's a pretty name.

Let's just name everybody Jimmy.

But if you really don't like the name, then pick a different name. Seems like your husband's on your side, so who cares about everyone else? But we got an update. Guys, you made a pregnant woman cry in a good way. I am so glad to see all your comments and everything. Even the year of the a-holes and downvotes were welcome looks at both sides. So I want you all to know that I really appreciate it. I got a DM from someone with the name Siobhan. And not only was it validating, but it gave me a great idea. They told me they'd go by the nickname Bunny, and I almost instantly fell in love with it. After more pregnancy crying, I ran the idea past my husband. His response was we could give her Anne for a middle name like

The Pirate. My husband's a pirate nautical geek, but I love him for it. So we have a new working name, Bunny Anne. If we end up not liking it when she's born, we'll switch things around, but for now, that's what we're going with.

Wait a minute. What if people don't pronounce Bonnie right?

Yeah, they're like, Bonnie?

Is your name Boonie?

Boonie-oon?

Are you the king of the Earth kingdom? Boonie?

I feel like you figured it out. So all is well.

Although now that I think about it, given the current climate, maybe.

By the time they're grown, maybe it'll calm down. Bonnie could be a controversial name.

What's wrong with Bonnie?

I don't really want to say.

We got a little bit left.

People who know will know what I'm talking about.

Because I don't know. I haven't told our families yet, and I think we're going to keep it that way, at least for now. I have stressed that we want it to be a surprise angle, and while we got some flack for it, it's gone down some. My mom and sister were sour because apparently they wanted to do a name reveal at my baby shower coming up. And again, I've personalized gifts made. But they're sticking to my boundaries for the time being. For all the Siobhans out there and all those who also love the name, I see you, I really do. It's a beautiful name from a beautiful culture.

Wear it with pride, my dudes. But for us, there's just too much negative energy around it for us personally.

What?

Literally what negative energy? I think it's only you who has the negative energy.

OP is the most sensitive person on earth when it comes to mispronunciation.

OP's like, oh, just grins my gears if anyone mispronounces any name. Overall, I made this account for this dilemma specifically.

I don't use.

Social media a lot, as it's not great for my mental health. So I don't know how long I'm gonna keep it up but i want to share this update with you guys and thank you again for all your help me and baby maybe bonnie are doing just fine and that is the end of the story nice job lovely you got there you sure did may.

You and seal pond have healthy happy lives and.

That's the end of the story we're gonna read the next one.

My sister kept using my stuff despite me asking her to stop, so I banned her.

That's actually my stuff! I have extremely sensitive skin and reoccurring dermatitis.

After years of painful trial and error, I finally found a routine that doesn't leave my face burning or covered in dry patches.

Yay!

Takes a lot.

Most of the products are fragrance-free and fairly expensive, including a $ 95 treatment.

Cream that I have to order online.

I keep everything together in a small tray in my bathroom, and I replace each item on a schedule because I just can't grab random products from a drugstore if I run out. My younger sister visits me pretty often. A few months ago, I noticed my cleanser and moisturizer were disappearing much faster than usual. She's admitted she had been using them whenever she stayed over because she liked how they felt.

Don't care. Honestly, set up a subscription. Bless the. Set up a subscription if she wants to do that. Pay me 20, 30, I don't know, whatever it costs a month.

Yeah, let's open a dialogue where you say, hey, don't do that. That's step one. Here we go. I told her clearly that I needed her to stop. I even put regular guest products in the bathroom so she would have something else to use.

Okay, that's fair.

You've solved the problem. Yay! Unless your sister creates a new one in which she doesn't respect your boundaries.

I doubt that.

Last weekend, she came over and brought one of her friends. They stayed for a few hours while I finished some work in my bedroom.

When I went into the bathroom later, my skincare tray was completely rearranged, two products were open, and the treatment cream felt much lighter than it had that morning. By the way, this comes from Velvet Toast Box. If you want to submit your own stories, go to the r slash ok story time subreddit. I'm Dakota.

Hi, I'm Riley.

We're going to read this story about goop that you put on your face.

And someone with OCD.

And we're going to give you good advice, Goovely, and you guys make your comments down there.

We love you. And OP says, felt like a Smiling Friends intro.

I asked my sister about it immediately.

At first, she said they had only tried a little bit, but her friend was holding a small travel container in her bag. My sister eventually admitted she had filled it with some of my cream because her friend has similar dry skin and wanted to test it at home.

Okay.

If you're broke, just say that, Brokey McBrokerson.

That's crazy.

She acted like it was no big deal because there was still some left in the original jar. That cream usually lasts me around three months if I use the correct amount, and based on how much was missing, she gave away at least several weeks' worth. I also had to throw out one of the open products because they had both put their fingers directly into it after I specifically told my sister not to touch anything. I told my sister she was no longer welcome in my apartment for the foreseeable future. I said we could meet at our parents' house or somewhere public, but I wasn't comfortable having her here after she ignored the same boundary multiple times and then gave my belongings to someone else. She

started crying and said I was treating her like a thief over some face cream.

Girly Pop! You stole... You stole from a person.

I'll always tell people, if you steal from a company that's worth millions or billions of dollars, I'm not going to call you a thief. I'm going to call you a shoplifter, because that's what you are. If you steal from another person directly, P2P, you're a thief.

P2P, not B2B?

No.

B2B, okay.

P2P, no.

P2B? I mean, you know, there's a debate there, but I'm not going to call you a thief.

B2B' s fraud.

B2B is, yeah, B2B I don't like. P2B, I'll hear you out. P2P?

Nope.

Into the sea.

Crossing the line.

You're a thief.

My mom also thinks banning her from my place is too extreme and says I should just keep the products in my bedroom when she visits.

Oh, yeah, let's put it all in a basket. Honestly, one up. Put it in a safe. Come on.

Yeah, why don't you just lock it down? This is your fault. Wait, do you smell that? Do you smell that?

I don't, no.

I smell the smell of a mother who ruined her child.

I thought that was just broccoli.

Any reaction other than, oh, your sister shouldn't be stealing your expensive, very particular skincare products?

Also, I know OP's not going to ban her for life. This is just probably for like a week or two.

Just for now. Until you stop being a thief.

I told them I shouldn't have to hide my things inside my own home from a 24-year-old woman who has already been told no. Now my sister says I embarrassed her in front of her friend. You did that to yourself, girly pop. And I damaged our relationship over skincare. I feel like this stopped being about skincare the moment she just decided my no didn't matter and that she was allowed to give my property away.

Am I wrong for banning her from my apartment? Absolutely not. Your sister's being childish and is a thief.

This is more than skincare. This skincare helps you not turn into a monster physically. She's not respecting that. She wants you to look ugly.

You know what really.

solidifies her as a thief, she knew she shouldn't ask. She did it without asking because she knew the answer was no. Knowing that, she said, I'm going to take it anyway because she's a little thief.

Non-consensual P2P. And that's the end of this story. We're going to read the next one. Hey, this is Riley, the host that can't really read that well. We're going to get back to the stories, but here's three minutes worth of ads from our sponsors. I told my sister I don't want her getting married again. She had a meltdown.

Well, how'd the first marriage go?

My 25 female sister, 28 female, is essentially a human disaster. When she was young, she would end up in juvenile detention centers because she would get in fights or steal from stores. It was out of control that my dad shipped her out to a boarding school. They sent her back at 18. She shaved her head in the middle of the night. and refused to make eye contact with anyone for the rest of the day. She carried on normally, just wouldn't stare at us directly. The next day, she glared at everyone, even if it was inappropriate for the situation.

When she was 19, she got married to a boy she had met at a bar and had been dating for two months. Okay, well, you met at a bar.

I mean.

At a bar! It's, uh... He's old enough to get in there.

It's concerning... But I feel like you guys never did your sister any favors here, did you?

Just a general sense I've got that maybe she's always felt like everyone around her thought she was bad and worse than them.

She got pregnant and told everyone that she was going to make her baby famous.

That's crazy.

At that point, she was still living at my parents' house. She left her baby in his crib and left in the morning without telling anyone where she was going. She turned up three years later and demanded they give back what they stole?

Oh!

Oh no!

My parents did not. Since then, she's been married twice more. Her first husband divorced her over the baby abandonment. She never told him what she had done and divorced him almost the second she found out she was pregnant. She was married to her second husband for five weeks. and he divorced her after she shoved him off a pier while wasted. Her third husband was her longest marriage, lasting a whopping eight months. They divorced when she ripped up family photos when his mom expressed disapproval over their relationship.

Your sister sounds like she's fun at parties and nowhere else.

By the way, this comes from HopHopHop333, and if you want to submit your own stories, you know where to go. I'm Riley.

I'm Dakota.

And I'm really excited to read this story with Dakota because we're going to read it goofily. We're going to read it excitedly. If you have anything you want to add, please add it down below. Opie says, my sister has been seen by mental health professionals and she's basically just a dysfunctional and awful person. You see the part where they listed the diagnosis?

Yeah, no, I missed that part.

It's called dysfunctional.

I really hate to break it to you, OP, but if this has been the vibe your whole life, You're kind of partially responsible for how crazy she is. Maybe.

We don't know. We don't have that context, though.

I'm really feeling it in the way OP's writing it, that their whole childhood, there was always this air. I don't know when it started.

I could see that. But this is wild, though. Abandoning a baby?

No, that's crazy. I'm not saying that your sister's right, but it's like, maybe let's not ignore the fact that she didn't just become like that for no reason overnight.

She lives on her own now. near my parents' house so she can visit her son. Most of her visits consist of her showing up, drinking their wine, and leaving having only said hello to him. Now my sister has announced that she's marrying a man who got her pregnant after dating for three months. My parents told her that she should reconsider, but she declared that it is for her baby's sake as she wants to raise this one right. Well, in order to raise one right, You got to be living in a right way.

I don't think you should be raising anything, not even crops. Not even like a little creature, like a frog or something.

Like a box turtle.

Yeah. Nah, you should not be in charge of anything that has a pulse. Besides yourself. Agreed.

Work on that first. Do a good job at that, and maybe you can get another living thing in your house.

But a baby?

Ha ha ha. Fun fact about babies, you can make those on your own. You just need a special friend.

She knows exactly how to make babies, clearly.

They told her that she should at least try to raise her son. And she rolled her eyes and called them selfish for trying to take attention away from her baby. We're just redirecting the attention on your first baby. Yeah, you've already got one of these, bro. What are you on about? My dog needs a dog vibe.

Yeah, no, I want to raise this one right. You know you could still raise the other one. Shut up!

That was so three years ago, man.

God, you're so selfish.

A few nights ago, she asked me what I thought about her fiancé. I told her that I didn't know him, but I felt like she was making a mistake. She asked me to elaborate, and I told her that she had gone through too many men to make this work because I can't shut up when given the chance to speak I reminded her that she already had a baby that she's been failing for for the past eight years, this poor child. I made sure to hammer in the point that she barely knew this man at all. And all he had done was got her pregnant. She got very quiet and told me I was a crappy sister and she didn't want to talk to me again. I told her that she was a crappy person and walked out.

After that, my parents called me and said my sister had told them about the conversation and that while they agreed with me, they said I should have been nicer as she was very upset. I haven't talked to her since, as I've been trying to strategize what to say to her. My sister is still my sister at the end of the day, and I want her to make the best choices she can. My nephew is also my nephew, and her new baby will also be my blood, and I love them all and want what's best for them. What she's doing now won't work out for any of them.

And I feel like in trying to articulate, I just effed up our relationship. Can I go back on this? I meant what I said, but how can I make it better? Is there any way to apologize? We got an update. She wants to build back the bridge that she tore down with her sister. Seems to be all over the place. Is there a way back?

I have no idea how to guide you through this. I would have had absolutely nothing to do with my sister the moment she abandoned her child for three years. She's done.

Yeah, I think she'll be once back in so that whenever she has a second kid, she'll at least have some influence on that child's life if something were to go wrong.

I mean, maybe, but.

So what I would do is I would get some wine, get three bottles of wine, pour it all out, put grape juice in it, reseal it, Hey, sister, let's talk. Then drink over some wine, in quotation marks.

Oh, no.

See, she'll know it's not wine right off the bat. And then she'll get angry. She'll break the bottle and start threatening you with it.

Oh, my gosh. She'll go, where's the wine?

Where's the real stuff?

I was thinking about getting Snoop Dogg's new wine. Ah, he must have not known how to do it right.

He just, oopsie.

Mr.

Snoop, stick to rapping.

Come on, man. Stick to rapping and rolling blunts, dude. I think, honestly, it's the betterment for the second kid. This is crazy. Real thoughts? I feel like we should find her ovaries and take them with us. Hold them hostage. We should hang on to those until she is responsible enough to use them herself.

There's not many people who I'm like, they should never have kids.

But this one made the list, huh?

Yeah, I don't know. I got to say, from everything I've been hearing, I don't know if this person should ever be allowed to have kids ever. Update.

Thanks for everyone for their advice. I tried to take the no contact option, but my parents really asked me to at least tell her we wouldn't be speaking. So I went over to my sister's house. She invited me inside for the first time. It was an absolute disaster zone. There was adult soda on the floor, cig cartons smushed up, cig butts everywhere, holes in the wall, cig burns in the carpet. To say that I was disgusted is an understatement.

This is the first time she's ever been to her house.

That is some more evidence as to why this person is fully unfit to have a child to raise.

I asked where her cat was. She said that her fiance had let him out. Her cat was an indoor cat because he wouldn't stop meowing and subsequently darted into the street and got hit by a car.

I just imagine her saying that like so like nonchalant.

Oh yeah, got hit by a car. Just didn't want him in here.

Yeah, but we're going to raise the next one right.

I asked her if that was not at all disturbing to her, and she shrugged. You were on the money on that one.

Meh.

I sat down in the only chair that wasn't moth-eaten, and I tried to lay it out for her. I still didn't approve of her choices. I still thought she'd be a bad mom, and I still thought she was unreliable. She was silent for a little bit, while then told me that I had no right to judge because I wasn't married, had no children- and hadn't moved out of my apartment since graduating.

So, that's the moment when you just go, hey, I want you to just look around.

Take a glance.

Just, like, take in your surroundings and ask yourself, is this a normal environment for a household?

Where would I put a baby?

Yeah, yeah, yeah, let's make it fully baby-centric. Is this the kind of environment... Suitable for raising a child.

Where baby gonna go?

Here?

I'm already sitting here. Baby can't stay here. Then I pointed out that this was what I was talking about. She was making bad choices, but no one else could point that out and it wasn't fair. Especially because her choices had an impact on others and mine didn't. When I said that, she dissolved. She started crying, which elevated to screaming Bloody Mary, and I told her to take a walk and mellow out before I talked to her again.

And in response, she just laid down on the floor and sobbed. It was so frustrating that I told her she had to act like a grown-up or I wouldn't stay. She shrieked at me and was completely incoherent. So I left. That was four days ago. A day afterwards, my parents called me while I was at work, and explained that my nephew was too sick to go to school, but they had gotten a call that they needed to leave the state to help figure out some family stuff. I agreed to come over and take care of him. Luckily, he slept most of the time I was there, and all I really had to do was snuggle him and make sure he wasn't going to overheat from his fever.

Awesome aunt stuff right here. I can't wait to be called in to help out for a sick kid.

Yeah, I feel like you'd do a good job.

In the middle of the day, my sister came by.

Oh, God.

She said that our parents had said my nephew was sick, that she wanted to help. Her son was sleeping in the other room, and I just asked her to leave. It didn't seem fair to him to have to deal with the suckiness of being sick and his terrible mom. My sister again said I had no right to interfere with her relationship with her son. Well, who did the parents call? Who did the parents that take care of this child call? Was it you, sister, or was it O.P.?

I said she had no right to be his mother. After giving him up, she had another meltdown and went into the kitchen. Part of me had hoped that she would just mellow out, but instead she went into the cupboards and threw all of the good china on the floor. I followed her, yelled at her, and had to physically restrain her. Afterwards, I called my dad and told him what had happened. He asked me not to call the police.

and said that he would be home later to deal with her.

Honestly, bro, this is the problem.

Your parents absolutely failed your sister, because I'm getting the feeling they never gave her consequences.

There was radio silence from my sister for longer than expected. When my dad tried to get a hold of her, she wasn't answering her phone. I had to go over to her house, and she wasn't there. Her fiance said that she had left. and returned her engagement ring. Yesterday, my sister called, saying that she was far away and that we wouldn't have to deal with her. I told her she sounded insane, and she needed to get home ASAP before someone called the police and got her institutionalized.

She said she didn't care, and I gave up. That night, I was on my phone and decided to set up SnapMaps because I was bored and just wanted to do something. When I checked it out, my sister was on the map, Less than 10 miles away at a friend's house.

Ah, would have been cooler if she was in the woods, but I should have known she doesn't have the, you know, self-reliance to be able to pull that one off.

This is where I now have a problem with sister. She said far away and proceeded to just go 10 miles.

That makes her a liar.

That makes me so pissed off that she cannot geologically estimate where she is away from people. Like 10 miles is not even far for people that walk.

Yeah, I think she was just trying to say that... to get them off their scent. I think she knew she wasn't far away, bro.

I was so horrified. I called my parents and they said that she might have left her phone at the friend's place. To double check, I called a friend who confirmed that my sister was staying there and said something very odd. When I told her the entire story of what had happened, my sister's friend said that she had never been pregnant and suspected she was just effing with us for sympathy. Pregnant this time or last time?

Huh.

That's my next question.

You know what my big question is? How does she have friends?

Well, sometimes when you need to buy things from people, you create a relationship. That's what I think this friend is. I told my parents, who called my sister, who admitted to lying to the family and her fiancé because she was pressuring her to have a baby. Otherwise, they would break up. She was planning an elaborate story to get it all out. Opie says, my parents picked up my sister in the morning and are keeping her at their place under very strict rules until she gets it all together.

And Opie, how do you feel about that? The parents are now stepping in.

Bap!

12, 13 years too late by my estimation.

Yeah, she's 27, 28.

Sent her to boarding school, they sent her back.

Yep, you're going to military school now.

You're just going, I'm going to leave you in the woods with a survival manual, and if you can make your way back, welcome.

Until then, my nephew is staying with me, which I'm super excited about. I've taken care of him for the past for long periods of time, and he'll be seeing my parents at their place. So his routine isn't shaking up too much. But he'll be in my care for a while now. My sister had to apologize to him this afternoon, and he was so confused about it. So we had a chat about what being a good person is like in the car. He didn't seem to think his mom had done anything wrong, which stung the absolute worst. Informally, I've disowned my sister. I told her I didn't want anything to do with her, especially after what my nephew said.

And yes, I know my sister is bat crap crazy. Well, you're doing your part.

Yeah, you are.

That was so sad.

God, we had a discussion about what being a good person is like. Yep. Yikes.

Good people keep the good china in the cupboards, not on the floor. And that's the end of this story. We're going to read the next one.

My girlfriend disappeared before we're supposed to sign a lease and blamed it on me?

Yeah, you knew you were dating a magician when you signed up.

We had been a couple for almost two years now, two years in November, and I thought everything was going fine. We signed a lease last month for renting a home with a move-in date of November. Last weekend, we had planned to go visit her parents a few hours away. On Friday, she called me and sounded pretty upset and said she needed a weekend by herself to think and sort out feelings. She didn't seem to want to volunteer any information. I said that was fine. And she said she would call me on Sunday or when she sorted out her thoughts and feelings.

Strange.

Saturday evening, I texted her. Are you feeling better? Do you want to talk or do you need anything? She responded with, please, just leave me alone now.

Please, I can't. I'm overcome with vapors. Stop it.

Oh, Lord.

I was pretty hurt by how blunt the message was and just dropped it. She didn't call me Sunday, so I let her be. Monday evening, I sent her another text asking what was going on and got no response. By the way, this comes from throwawaypanic191, and if you want to submit your own stories, go to the r slash okstorytime subreddit. I'm Sophia.

I'm Dakota.

I'm Keon.

And we're here to give good advice goofily, but we don't have all the answers. We only know what we do. So let us know what you would do in the comments. And Opie says, I called her Tuesday, and my phone calls were going immediately to voicemail. I got extremely concerned, so I drove out to her apartment and noticed her car was missing. So I decided.

Somebody stole her car?

Somebody stole my car. Someone broke into her house and stole her car.

Well, she had the vapors. Oh. Oh.

So I decided to send a Facebook message to some of her friends that I knew. It was at that point that I realized she was no longer on my Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc. I sent a message to a few of her friends who I knew. One finally got back to me late last night and said, I need to learn to know when I have been dumped and I need to move on with my life and leave her alone.

Oh.

Oh.

Today I received a text message from one of her friends telling me my ex said she was able to convince the landlord to remove her from the lease and she paid six months her share of the rent out of her own pocket. Any of my things she had of mine were just left with my parents. Anything I have of hers can be thrown out.

Wow. It's infected.

Yikes.

Infected.

I don't know. Her friends also suck if they're letting this behavior go just unquestioned. That's it. My parents had no idea what was going on. It wasn't my ex. It was someone my parents are not familiar with came by and gave it to them without explaining anything before leaving. Oh, this is the person who dropped off all of OP's belongings.

Was not his ex.

Is this just how dumping happens today?

I hope not. That's so cruel.

They pay six months of rent and then they're like, leave me alone.

I don't understand. We went out last Wednesday and had a great time. She stayed at my place. I don't understand why she was upset on Friday. Am I missing something?

Clearly.

That's how they get you.

You know, that's how they, they sense of security. It's not laying you down gently. It's laying you down with a positivity and being nice.

Yeah.

Letting you down out of the blue. I feel confused, panicked, and I just feel lost. I got no goodbye. I don't understand. And we got some relevant comments. But what do you understand, Dakota?

Well, there's a couple of theories in the comments. The first theory was there's someone else.

Oh.

There's another theory that says he's lying. He's playing the victim. He's probably a terrible person. Who knows?

Who's to say?

We'll never know. But I know this isn't how you break up with somebody.

Almost.

Yeah.

Unless this guy is awful. making her feel unsafe and she had to get out of there like this, then this is.

Which I gotta say.

Unacceptable.

Not really hitting my radar on that one.

I mean, it doesn't seem like it. He's like, we had a good time. We were having a laugh and now she's gone. Strange. Fascination Street says, oh wow, you have no hidden stuff that she may have found out. Cheating, a kid you didn't tell her about, massive debt, criminal record. OP says, nope, no skeletons in my closet, never cheated or anything. The only thing I remember is about three months ago when we were having... Spicy sleep. I blurted out that I loved her. I really did.

Ah, that's what it was.

Hold on.

She got awkward and told me she wasn't ready for that yet. They've been dating for two years. Did I misread something?

Mid-coitus.

She went, oh no, we've just been cool for two years.

They've been a couple for two years and he said I love you?

Nah, they've been a... Two months ago? They've been a situation-ship for two years.

She wasn't ready for all that. She skipped steps. She obviously goes.

Someone skipped steps. I really need to know who skipped steps here.

You need to get married first, and then she says, I love you.

Fascination Street. Says at two years, she wasn't ready to hear you say that you love her. Are you sure the two of you were dating? OP says she has been introducing me as her boyfriend for ages now. And we signed a lease for a house together.

What's going on?

We have pretty much been spending five out of the seven days of the week together. That's most of the days.

Yeah, that checks out.

For months now. I know it was weird, but she said she wasn't ready and said she would tell me when she's ready. Has OP met her family? Maybe contact them. I met her parents a grand total of two times so far. In two years? How far away do they live?

Depends on where they are.

And both were very short affairs. Dinners, since they live quite far away.

Okay.

But I did write her mother via Facebook and explained how weird it was as suggested. I will see if I get anything or if she even uses Facebook still. Has OP cheated or the girlfriend? Never cheated. I was extremely happy with her. We had common hobbies. We got along great. We were spicily compatible. I was very happy and had no reason. I guess that could happen. I guess I'm just confused about the time frame. We were playing games until late Thursday night, spent Wednesday together, and she seemed fine. And we do have an update, folks.

Hmm.

She seemed fine.

She seemed fine.

And that's where you made your mistake.

All right.

Yeah, she was not fine.

We've gathered the evidence. OP's girlfriend, in quotes, didn't say I love you within two years. First red flag. He had met the parents twice in two years. That's once per year.

Yeah.

Statistically.

It's not looking too good. It's not looking hot.

What do you think?

I think you should have ghosted her after she was like, it's weird. You said I love you. I agree.

I agree.

I agree.

I think you should have disappeared.

Wait, I need, I need, again, context. Did he say I love you mid?

Yes.

And her response was?

She got awkward.

That's that, that, not into that. I'm not into that.

We've got an update though. One week later on Sunday, she sent me a very long message via email, pretty much explaining what happened. Pretty much. It boiled down to, well, she wanted to try having a serious relationship with her friend every who said that there was another person.

Uh-oh.

Seems like they were right.

Uh-oh, Spaghetti-O.

Oh, her friend is the same person who sent me the extremely blunt message about her dumping me.

Makes sense.

Oh.

Apparently for a year before we started dating, she was having an on and off again relationship with her. I never knew this and nobody ever mentioned it. Apparently it wasn't serious and they broke it off because her friend got cold feet about actual commitment. Oh, wow. I wonder how that felt. I wonder how actual commitment not being reciprocated feels, girlfriend.

How does it feel?

How does it feel?

I never really knew how close my ex and her friend were, but I'm probably just dumb. She says she never cheated on me, but apparently the night after I last saw her, her friend confessed to my ex when she heard about us moving in together.

I don't know.

According to her, she needed to give this a try because she's apparently in love with her and has been for years.

Oh, there's the word.

Wow. There it is.

So she can say it.

She just wasn't in love with you.

Yeah. Yeah.

She just couldn't say it to you because it was a lie.

Tough.

She said she was a coward and really sorry. She also offered to be friends in the future, just not now. I rejected that.

I love when people try to do that.

Like, hey, we could be friends.

Why?

Yes, and the moon could be made of cheese. No one knows for sure.

No one knows. Folks, if people don't say I love you within two years of official dating, they are not the person for you.

Yeah. I would have to agree.

It's like if you're in one of those relationships where you really want to get married and the other person's like, yeah, maybe when I'm ready. And they keep pushing it down the line and kicking that rock down the road.

I'll marry them. Until it turns into a sphere.

They're not going to marry you.

Fushigi.

Fushigi?

Fushigi?

Your rock turns into a sphere. I can't marry you. I'm married to Fushigi.

Uh, there's a little bit left, though.

Fushigi.

Anyways, so that aside, now we had a bit of communication. We both signed a lease amendment taking her off the lease. She also sent me the money for a chunk of the rent for the year, as she felt she needed to make stuff right somehow. I'm still going to move into the house as I can pay the rent myself, even without her help. Honestly, at the end of it all, I guess I was just way more into her than she was into me, and I never really noticed it.

Considering how often this friend was around, I probably should have noticed something, I guess. However, I will say that personally, even before this, I found her friend to be pretty manipulative, and I doubt it's going to work out how she thinks it will, but I'm done with her.

Maybe she likes that.

Maybe she wants that. She seems like she has some mixed up feelings about relationships.

She's like, yeah, I want to feel bad.

Maybe it's Maybelline.

I want to be with this guy who's going to make me feel bad.

She is a girl.

I want to be with this guy who's a girl. Who's a girl. Who's going to make me feel bad.

So bad.

And that's the end of this story. Let's head to the next one.

My friend tried to steal my boyfriend and he didn't say a word to me.

I mean, yeah, that makes sense.

A friend of mine tried to hook up with my boyfriend. He turned her down, but I'm sussed out by the fact that he didn't tell me. I only found out from my boyfriend's friend who was there when it happened. He thought that my boyfriend already told me about it since it was her who hit on him and he turned her down and there was no reason to hide it.

I confronted my boyfriend about it later and he said he didn't want to ruin our friendship and that he told her if she doesn't stop being weird, he'll tell me. He says he wanted to give her a shot at saving the friendship. I've already decided that I'm done being friends with her because I don't want friends that would do something like that. Besides, I've always thought she had a thing for him. Anyway, she thinks that just because they met first, that means she's entitled to him or something.

I don't need that kind of BS in my life. So if he had told me, I would have cut her off immediately, which is what I did when I found out. By the way, this comes from throwawayjjio91122. And if you want to submit your own stories, go to the r slash OK Storytime subreddit. I'm Sophia.

I'm Dakota.

I'm Keon.

And we're here to give good advice goofily, but we don't have all the answers. We only know what we'd do. So let us know what you would do in the comments. And OP says, The problem for me right now is that it's weird that he didn't tell me about it. I understand that it must have been an awkward spot for him, but you'd think he'd want to tell me immediately to avoid a misunderstanding. Besides, it's weird that he cares more about potentially saving my friendship with her than he does making sure he doesn't come off as a cheater.

Is that a green flag or a red flag? I can't tell. I think it is the wrong choice.

It's a gray area.

Yeah.

It is a weird position to be put in.

Yeah.

You would think the gut instinct would be to tell. But that's exactly the thing that might have happened where he had the gut instinct and then his brain. And he said, wait, but if I say that, am I going to ruin their friendship and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.

I think it was obviously the wrong choice, but I think potentially could have been coming from a misguided, you know, attempt to do the right thing.

Yeah, because it's also like you wouldn't want to be friends with someone who would do that. Yeah, no. You know?

My friend thinks he hid it from me because he was interested, but I don't think he's that kind of guy. I mean, he turned her down.

Yeah.

Yeah.

Granted, we've only been dating for four months, and I still don't know him that well, so anything is possible. What do you guys think? Is it a red flag that he didn't tell me? We do have an update. What do you guys think?

I'm not going to lie. I love that people put their stories on the internet for us to read. It's almost more of a red flag that you did this instead of just talking to him.

Yeah.

You know what I mean? No, I mean, I don't know.

I think it's okay to ask for advice. And OP now has lost one of her friends. Maybe doesn't have as many friends to ask for advice.

I suppose not. A friend may be testing him. Yeah, he could have thought that. I think talk to him and say, hey, where was your hat at? And if he says, well, I wasn't sure.

Which one?

I wasn't sure if I was destroying your friendship. And then you get to say, okay, well, going forward, please tell me if something like that happens again, because let me decide whether or not I want to keep that friendship.

Yeah.

Update. So I told my boyfriend that I understand why he did it and that I get that he wanted to avoid hurting me, but that he doesn't get to make that choice for me.

Nice.

He said he understands that he should have told me, but that he had kind of hoped that she was just having a weird moment and that it wouldn't happen again and we'd avoid the entire thing completely. I told him that from now on, I want him to be upfront with me. about this kind of thing. I also told him that if he was worried about if I'm going to believe him over my friend or not, he shouldn't be. Because honestly, I suspected that she was into him anyway, and I would have definitely believed him. There's a little bit left. What do y'all think?

I believe this guy's in the green. Yeah.

Like someone said on TikTok, if it happened more than once, definitely say something.

I think he did a good job. I think his arithmetic was just fine.

I think his intentions were good.

He's only been four months.

Could be scared of conflict.

He's like, maybe she's just weird. Yeah. Because if she does it again, then it's like, all right. All right. You are weird. All right, we're done. And I need to spread the word.

I think OP handled this A +. But we got a little bit left. Anyway, I feel like he totally understood where I'm coming from. If anything, this whole thing kind of made us be on the same page about this type of stuff. I want to thank everyone for the advice because I was honestly getting paranoid because I've been cheated on before. And my friends are kind of cynical, so they expected the worst, which made me do the same. Ironically, because of this whole thing and the talk we had after, I feel like I can trust him more. For now, I'm going to try to stop assuming the worst. Thanks to everyone who chipped in. And that's it.

You're welcome.

I did chip in.

Yeah, we threw some chips in there.

Ah, and guac.

We splashed the pot on that one.

Yum, yum, yum. Take some of my chips. Take some of his chips.

Take my chips. Take my chips. Don't you dare do a dip with my chips. Don't you dip my chips.

And that's the end of this story. Let's head to the next one. Hey, it's Dakota, your favorite good time boy host here. We're going to get back to the stories, but here's three minutes of ads from our sponsors.

My girlfriend is pressuring me to get married as soon as possible and turned on me when I refused.

Why won't you marry me?

We, both 29, were together previously when we were both 22, right out of college. I was kind of in the friend zone until I asked her out when we both ended up working in the same city. We dated for nine months and I thought she was the one until she got really distant out of nowhere. At the time, she never wanted anything serious. Thoughts of going to the U.S.

For her master's.

Oh.

I wanted to get serious. She thought I was being needy and indicated that I should be happy that she gave me a chance. Oh, yeah. She was really a popular. She was really popular in college and is very attractive.

But I was building my own confidence and felt I was becoming a catch too. So the fact that she thought she was out of my league made me feel insecure. We stay in touch because of some mutual friends. From what I saw from 23 to 27... She dated quite a lot of men.

Cool. When she was 27 or 28, apparently I hear her parents tried setting up some arranged marriage type of deal. The mutual friends said none of them worked out. She then asks me to meet and one thing led to another and we're dating.

Why? You seem pretty, I don't know, like rightfully offended about how she approached your relationship the first time. Why go back to that?

Well, it was seven years ago. Maybe they're all hot now.

You know?

They were young.

We're still hot.

Maybe she's changed.

Brain wasn't fully developed.

All right, then.

We're hot and we're dating now.

We're hot and we're dating.

She asked me at the start if I'm looking for a serious relationship, and I said that I never dated anyone without serious intentions. But I also said that I wasn't in a rush to get married, and that if she was because of parental pressure or anything, she should look elsewhere. By the way, this comes from SmoothGazelle9629.

I'm Dakota. I'm Sophia.

I'm Keon.

We're going to read this story.

Wow.

We're going to have thoughts. We're going to say them.

You get to say yours in the comments where we can read them and you can all get along for a hundred years.

And Opie says, we dated for half a year. Honestly, one of the best six months of my life. The spices sleep was great. She's been super accommodating and sweet. She brought up marriage and I said I wasn't ready. A lot of friends are divorced, which is crazy, so I just want to be sure. She accuses me of lying about my intentions, but I show her the messages where I say yes to having a serious relationship, but not to anything rushed.

She claims that overall we've dated for over a year, and she needs to settle down. I don't think the math works that way.

Yeah, it kind of starts over.

After this conversation, things became super distant since. No matter all the sweet goodnight texts I send her, she sometimes doesn't even reply. Never wanted to meet. A month goes by. So you're broken up again?

Yeah, yeah. If we didn't talk or see each other within a month, it's over.

She tells me that I should either marry her or move on, saying that she could get any guy and that I'm lucky.

Just leave. And that's when you say, okay, good luck then.

Go ahead.

Hasta la vista, baby.

Then why are you here with me?

I'm out.

If you could get any guy, why don't you get my Uncle Ricky?

Why don't you get freaking Brad Pitt? Why don't you get Elijah Wood?

Why don't you get Joseph Stalin?

Why don't you get Che Guevara? Can't do that. Those guys are deceased.

OP.

You're better than this. Way better. This, again, hurt like it did in the past. I am a humble enough guy, but I believe I have become a catch, too. Despite how much I liked her, I said I wasn't going to be forced into marriage, so we broke things off.

And that was the end of the story. Imagine getting married to her after that.

You know what?

You're right. Let's get married.

After she says, you'd be lucky to marry me. Okay.

And? Don't go back.

Please don't.

Fool me once.

Let's not try this again.

Don't ever go back.

Yeah.

You're already on, like, a fool me twice list.

This is the Fool Me Twice.

Yeah, this is Fool You Twice. You've been fooled twice.

Another month goes by.

Oh, no.

And then she starts texting me again, and we restart the relationship.

So you're on thrice.

I don't feel bad for you. I don't feel bad for you.

This is your fault.

You've been fooled thrice.

Brother! Brother!

You are the coyote, and she is your roadrunner, and there's an anvil straight above your head.

This is me going for your throat, saying, what are you doing?

Brother! Brother, stop! Just fully reaching out.

Pfft.

I'm spider webbing.

Just to wind up for the throat grab.

I'm webbing you to the wall.

Bro, if this was any of my friends, I'm going straight for your gullet saying, what are you doing?

You're on three times right now? Pardon?

What are you doing?

Pardon, brother?

Nah.

She cannot be that hot.

It has been three months. She has gone back to her sweet self. Says that she was wrong to say she could get some other guy. And that was the right one for her. She had a hard three months out there, huh?

Again, go through your notes. Quoting you.

Yeah.

Any guy.

Yeah, I could get any guy.

Guess you kind of struck out there.

You know what? Maybe you should just marry her and cheat on her.

That's terrible.

No, don't do that.

I'm doing this to you.

Don't do that. That's not what you should do.

Break up with her again.

Just imagine what that would do to her, you know, insecurity. Don't do that.

Aye, aye, aye. Get this guy out of there.

Don't marry her and cheat on her.

She said that she wants marriage as soon as I am ready and keeps telling me her parents are pushing her to get married, but I can take my time. I obviously feel smothered by marriage right now and also concerned about how she can switch between being sweet and distant at the drop of a hat.

Is she being sweet just so that I marry her? Yeah, maybe, probably. My notes would say yes.

Yes, that's exactly what's happening.

I like her, but there's a feeling that this won't work well long term, and I feel marriage is getting increasingly forced rather than it being natural.

Any advice? And there is an update.

Um, my advice is to do what you've done before, but make it stick.

Leave her. There's an update.

The day after I made the original post, people's well-thought-out comments made me realize I have to end things.

What?

Probably should have realized without needing to post. Yes.

Last Saturday was absolutely crazy and I'm really glad I listened to the advice provided. I dumped her and now I feel like it was the obvious choice.

Yes.

I called her in the morning and I told her that I couldn't deal with the changing between cold and distant. I told her that she should find someone on her timeline and I didn't want to be pressured into marriage. I told her that it really hurt me that she thinks she's better than me and that she's out of my league. I want someone who treats me as an equal.

I say I want to end things on good terms and I wish her well. She gets really angry. She tells me that I never loved her and picked at some of my insecurities that I do not want to even share anonymously.

You should have married her and cheated on her. Things get heated and all. Okay, clearly that's not true. Clearly don't. Marry people and cheat on them just to upset them, okay?

Things get heated and although I try to calm her down and end things nicely, she's adamant that I have wasted her time and I.

Am not a real man. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. So things end badly.

She then sends a text saying she would like to end things on better terms.

Stop.

Stop. Stop letting her get away with this.

Computer, play Hot and Cold, Katy Perry.

You're hot and you're cold.

You're yes and you're no.

Grilly Pop, honestly, dude, you are wasting your time because you keep coming back to her. Yeah. And you're wasting my time.

Well, yeah.

She says she'll come over so that we can grow from our relationship. When I see her, she's looking better than she looks.

Ever has. Dang it.

She's a freaking siren, bruh. She's drawing you in. She's gonna eat ya.

Watch out. Here she comes.

She's a man eater. We decide to exchange criticism. Like true professionals.

Finally.

Finally. I make it clear nothing is going to change, that this is over. She then proceeds to start trying to give me a little, uh, a little, uh, a little.

A little bit of Monica? A little, uh, a little suck. That's all, that's what you got?

A little bit off the top.

Whoa!

That's better, actually.

This has always been a request of mine that was turned down because she always thought it was disgusting. I enjoyed it even more than Great Spicy Sleep. Afterwards, she said that I could take till tomorrow to decide whether or not we were over. And that I should know that she will do what it takes to fix it.

She's too good.

I say that it's over.

And that I cannot live in a relationship where I have to threaten to end it to get any semblance of respect, love, and compromise.

I got to get my doubloons back.

It's absolutely hilarious that he said, she said, I'll do whatever it takes. Gave him a little something. And then he said, okay, well, hold, hold. He waited until finished.

I'll do whatever it takes.

And then he said, okay, now it's over. Now it's over.

She said, I'm just saying. And he said, OK, OK, we're done.

He said we weren't done before. He said, pause. We're back together. Now we're done.

I don't think I don't think I don't think they did do it. I don't think they did it.

But he just said that they did.

No, I think it was. I think it was. She tried to go for it. He said no? And after her trying.

Oh, I thought he accepted.

She said, oh, take till tomorrow to think about it. Okay.

Sounded like he accepted.

Yeah. She begins to cry.

She's so good. She's too good at this.

Give her a roll or something.

She's too good.

She tells me how I was always the one for her. the ones she'd end up with. She told me that some of her friends were interested in me over the years. We were just friends, but she never let me know because she wanted me in the end. After continuing to stand my ground for over an hour where she basically begged me, she accepted things and left. I then got a screenshot from a friend of an Instagram story she sent to just her close.

Friends, which I was on that list earlier this week. Clearly not anymore. It's the special list. in green where you share it with a subset of your followers. It basically berated me as someone who wasted her time, blah, blah, blah.

I sent her a message saying that this is my last message to you and then I'm blocking you. I said I hope everything works out well in her life and that we stay out of each other's way. I feel free and I'm going to get a woman who is nice to me without reason and loves me for me. Thanks everyone for the support. I didn't expect such a huge response.

Wow.

What a what a time. What a time you had. I am not impressed with you, but I am glad that your relationship is over.

You know, it takes it takes a couple tries for you to learn.

Yeah.

And that's the end of this story.
